Speaker 1 (00:06):
Here we are off the edge with me your host
Cam Jordan. Hey, I was just at NFL Honors co
hosting the red carpet. Guys coming in had great interviews.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I mean you talked to.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Dak Prescott, talk to Matt Stafford, got to see my guys,
Mike straighthand one of the goats at my position.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
I'll just tune in. Take a listen.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
We have a very suited and booted third D three.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
The twenty twelve Rookie of the.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Year back in year old stomping grounds a phenomenal in
spell behind the hat because we got to get that
out of the way.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeaheah.

Speaker 5 (00:38):
Listen, I'm a cowboy at heart, not a Dallas cowboy,
but a cowboy being from Texas, so I had to
wear the little bit of a sombrero today.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I mean, you remember being offensive Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I've got a quarterback over in New Orleans who's trying
to win offensive lookie year, Like, what was that feeling?

Speaker 2 (00:53):
What would the advice be given?

Speaker 5 (00:56):
I mean, you want to enjoy it to the fullest, right,
But I think Tyler Shuck showed every he don't give
a shut you know what I'm saying yes and listen
balled out. A lot of people doubted him, didn't believe
in him, and you guys really are so confidence in
him to go out there. I would not be shocked
if he won the award to night.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Absolutely, I will say one thing about obviously this is
our most glamorous night in the NFL. But there's just
something so special about the awards giving out. Everybody here together,
just one last party really before the super Bowl to
end out the season, Haway.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
Is it so special for you?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:25):
I just think it's special because you get the brotherhood,
right and brotherhood sisterhood. Everybody's in the hood today and
we just enjoyed being around each other. I think that's
something we should never take for granted. We don't know
what anybody's going through. So showing up here, getting the smiles,
getting the hugs, and getting people to love on you
and talk to you, you really get a feeling of
a sense of community.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
So this is our community. We got to take care
of it. We love it. We love it. Boy, you
look good.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
And we're joined now by the fabulous and oh so
sparkly actually clam member of the USA Flag of Football Team. Okay,
killing it at NFL Ambassador for flag Football.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Actually incredible.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
You actually just started a partnership with the Vis Line
to take care of your smile part of your self
care routine.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Talk to us about all of that.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
Yes, I mean, my father always told me the famous
Dion Sanders quote, if you look good, you feel good,
you feel good, you play good.

Speaker 7 (02:18):
Exactly.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
That's not on.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
But I mean, I am truly most confident when I
have a beautiful smile, and starting this journey, it's allowing
me to be confident on and off the field. And
it's such a great opportunity, and it's such a great
opportunity to show the younger generation that we can have
these scholar we can't have these opportunities.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
So absolutely, I mean, flag football is going to be
in the Olympics for the first time in LA in
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
But what does it mean to you to see how
the game is growing?

Speaker 6 (02:48):
Oh my gosh, I honestly don't even have words for it.
Growing up, I always knew what flag football meant to me.
And to now see everyone else understand what flag football
is and truly respect this sport, it's monumental and it
is absolutely amazing, and it's finally giving the flag girls
and the flag boys.

Speaker 7 (03:06):
What what we respect?

Speaker 4 (03:08):
But not a flag?

Speaker 8 (03:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
No, daughter's in flag.

Speaker 7 (03:10):
You happened?

Speaker 3 (03:11):
I know.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
That's sorry. We'll have to I'll have to go out there.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I'll teach them a litt I'll teach him a little being.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Your own people. You see what I'm sorry? Actually, congratulations,
Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
All right, more stars on the way here on the
NFL Honors Read a carpet show presented.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
By him VIZI line, come on, bring it back my way?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Can I talk to a defense event? Finally we got
Will Anderson Jr. Of course, you know all pro pro bowler.
You know, twenty twenty three is AP Defensive Rookie of
the Year. I mean a part of the Texas defense.
Who was what number one and ring total defense in
twenty twenty five?

confidence to come out here and you know, to be
my best and it's just a privilege and the honor
to be here again.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
That's not your.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
First time at the NFL honors. Obviously, your rookie season phenomenal,
your defensive Rookie of the Year now full circle, You've
got a little time in the league. As you look
back at those years and look at how the league
is progressing, what makes this.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Night so special.

Speaker 9 (04:34):
It's so special because I think for me, you see
the growth from my rookie year to now and each
year just getting better and better. And I think that's
what football is about as man. It's the challenge of
you know that one percent of you getting better each
year on your craft and to see that, you know,
consistently show up to go through my process every time
and to be back here. Like I said, it's just
a blessing to be even with all these guys that've
had tremendous seasons.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I just want to qualify the word subtle and how
that translates to you, because I want to say anything
about this is subtle, but it is correct.

Like I feel good, Like I'm glad that the.

Speaker 9 (08:11):
Work has been like put in, I pushed this state
forward and it's here. But I'm glad that somebody will
hold that trophy. I wish I was up there to
present it or pass the forward, or even to hold it.
But I'm glad for whoever is getting it because now
the culture has forever changed.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
Oh I love that. No, it's an impact for sure.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Let's talk a little bit about the fashion because you
just gave me words of wisdom that I will not follow.
Just for the record, I'm coming comfortable. Yeah, it is
a quarto moving forward, but that doesn't mean any less
fashion because this is a custom piece.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Okay, this is what we're talking about.

Speaker 9 (08:40):
Yeah, this is just custom and distress man, Like you know,
I feel like I felt like, honestly right, this is
a year man. It's the fourth time up for Walter
Payton Man of the Year, and if I do win it,
I feel like this is what my suit has gone
through throughout the culture of what I've been doing.

Speaker 2 (08:58):
So a little something, a little cool. Well then I
got my hat on. I make hat.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
This is my hat.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
You don't have to see me. Well, are you already already? Snow?
You already? We're telling me about the jewels. You are right.

Dad as well and Comeback Player of.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
The Year finalists. Before we got to your award.

I should say, excuse me, across the world.

As you know, as a as a as a leader
of men, and now as an all time passing leader.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
What next?

Speaker 13 (10:22):
Yeah, honestly just this offseason to see what deals we make,
who we bring in. I'm so excited about Christian Parker
at and the DC guys are all excited about him
playing against him, and Philly just ready to see who
new teammates are going to be and what this next
season is going to look like.

Speaker 3 (10:36):
Comeback Player of the Year, I mean, it says so much,
not just about overcoming injury, but really just the mentality
that it takes to get back to form and then
do your job at the highest level. How special is
it to be nominated for this?

Speaker 13 (10:47):
It's very special, and I think the biggest award is
just getting to play the game again. I think every
nominee can say that, and so I think we're all deserving.
Whoever gets it is definitely a deserving, But it's just special.
When you get an injury, you're always challenging yourself and
you've got to answer that answer that bell on each
and every day with small goals and get better. And
so to be where I am now, knowing a year
ago I was on crutches, it's a blessing.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Best of luck to Isaac. Congratulations again, here we go.

what it means and what it feels like to receive
that Walt fam Man of the Year Award.

Speaker 9 (11:50):
Yeah, it's the highest honor in the NFL. And they
you know, nationwide coming in partnering with the NFL to
make the award so prestigious and what it is today
and uh, to night, I get to pass the torch
to a new award winner, and uh, we're gonna be
able to see what they can do with the platform
and how many people they can help. And so it

(12:11):
was an honor last year, but it's continued to honor
because I get to be a part of this special
group of men.

Speaker 1 (12:18):

It was just that, hey, we're rolling, I said, let's go.

Speaker 7 (14:05):
So I'm happy to have them.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
They've been at almost every game this year, so it
was right that they were here tonight, for sure.
