Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey, Hey, everybody got your breakdowns of all the moves
made by NFC North teams ahead of twenty twenty six.
This is a game preview guy production, not DJ or
Bucky or AI. Look, I tried to get it to
do my thing for me. I'm just not smart enough
to figure out how it works. So here we are.
You can make the case the NFC North is going
to be the toughest fight in the league. Chicago's buzzing

(00:23):
with optimism, Caleb Williams getting brought up as a possible MVP,
Detroit's offense still loaded. They just need that defense to
stay healthy enough to make a bigger impact than it
did last year. Packers will have to wait on Micah,
but get him back and their defense will be on
par with their Jordan Love offense and Minnesota stacked on

(00:44):
defense equipped with Justin Jefferson. Minnesota Vikings nine to eight
and twenty twenty five more impressed. So then it sounds
kind of didn't have any business being over five hundred

(01:04):
with that headless horseman offensive theirs. But this is twenty
twenty six, Kevin O'Connell. Even year, you're in this with me,
urn for.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Me and buy me we're going for this bike together.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Which have been pretty prosperous for school nation. That is
exactly what I'm talking about with O'Connell. Thirteen wins in
twenty twenty seven and twenty one, fourteen and twenty four
nine last year, that means fifteen wins this year right way.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
Just so you guys know, today, I'm going to consistently
stay above the line and be a positive force.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Why not. No more vincent adult man at quarterback instead,
It's time for some Kyler Murray.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
Genuine, genuine fandom ran deep Vikings year through and through
a lot of.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
Purple my household.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
For the second time in three years, Minnesota is throwing
on a re tread tire. Worked pretty well last time,
and as we saw, kept on working last year, but
for a different team that's stung. JJ McCarthy simply looked
like two kids inside a football uniform trying to pass
as an adult doing business stuff. I was really thinking

(02:12):
about just boomings the goal, No boom anybody. He went
six and four, but eleven tds against twelve Iantes only
averaged one hundred and sixty three yards per game, a
low seventies rate. Only Shador Sanders finished behind him, so
Murray doesn't have to do too much and they should

(02:34):
be more productive. Thumbnail backstory. Former number one pick Curriet.

Speaker 6 (02:38):
Trouble gets away from a defender that's up to a
run and he's loose near side.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Of the forty five of the forty at the thirty
five of the thirty cut by the Cardinals this offseason,
who were a sub five hundred team. Mind you, he
only played five games last year. Up and down seven
year career. But when he's on his dual threat skill
set plenty impressive.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
And it's a touchdown. What a darn.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
He's expected to do two things, jump start an offense
that was abysmal a year ago.

Speaker 7 (03:06):
Shy I couldn't get a juffee off boy.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
And reignite kid Dino might Hey, go.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
You and lead about you.

Speaker 7 (03:13):
We'll leave it all.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
On the heat so we can get back to some
good times.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Please play cover too, bro, at least play too high.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
JJ put up another thousand yard year's.

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Field Jefferson fifty five.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Just that's six straight to start his career.

Speaker 6 (03:40):
One handed catch by Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
But Jefferson is a dude capable of two k This
world is just a better place when he's grittying on
the regular touch.

Speaker 5 (03:56):
Showtime.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
If Marie to Jets offense has to be better than
the twenty twenty four version.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Billy Bowman Junior coming up with the.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
Interception twenty points per game twenty sixth he hit it
didn't twenty eighth in yards per game.

Speaker 8 (04:14):
Coming deep Ray was twenty yard line in his intercepted
Man oftscos.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Worst third down offense in the land.

Speaker 9 (04:21):
I just got out of some of the air and
the past is intercepted in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
And gave the ball away more than any other team.

Speaker 5 (04:28):
You could go sell this to the exode. It's intercept
Xavier Watts.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
They're hoping for better O line play this year, too,
hoping for better health within that he's head in sacked.
Center Ryan Kelly only played eight games. Right tackle Brian
O'Neill missed three games. Stud left tackle Christian Darisow missed
seven games. His replacement, justin School gave up a team
high eleven sacks. Guard Donovan Jackson missed three games, still

(04:55):
allowed six sacks. Only guard Will Fries played all seventeen games,
and he gave up a fat nine sacks. Minnesota QBS
took sixty sacks total. Only one team allowed more. Walker
got it lots of vikings. Fans will blame the quarterbacks
for many of those backwards plays, and they probably have
a point.

Speaker 5 (05:14):
Looking any sacked James Bears Junior.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
If they cut back, their skilled playmakers can start making
plays again. Tight End TJ. Hawkinson four hundred and thirty
eight yards and twenty twenty five, four fifty five and
twenty twenty four, but he has two nine hundred plus
years on his resume.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
Fyers to the end zone touchdown, Henry Ryan Dude, Jay Hockinson.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Jordan Addison went for six hundred and ten yards fourteen
games on total.

Speaker 7 (05:45):
Just believe it's of it.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Bro won't be working with Jalen Naylor left after putting
up a career high four hundred and forty four yards
scored four times.

Speaker 6 (05:54):
The Jaalen Nayler's first touchdown.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
This year replaced by Juwan Jens, who scored nine times
for the forty nine ers last year. I've got Minnesota
will lean on Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones on handoffs again.
Jones hit at four to a carry five hundred and
forty eight yards to the left touchdive Mason back to

(06:18):
back seven hundred plus yard years after posting seven to
fifty eight last year touch a nice four to eight
per carry sprint out to the left.

Speaker 5 (06:29):
He reaches for the zone touchdown.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
For eight plus all four years in the pros.

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Mason is in a Minnesota touchdown.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
If their offense is even just a middle of the
pack type O and their defense holds the line, this
turns into a scary club.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
These guys are gonna get us the ball right back,
and we're gonna go score.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
They held teams to nineteen points per game last year,
seventh top four and yards per game allowed. Oh smacked
one third down and in Scott Hansen's house that day.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Again.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yes, Isaiah Rodgers might just have caused his third round
over this game. If this stands, this is unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
No blind spots with this group held quarterbacks to an
eighty six rating in just one hundred and fifty eight
yards per game, second fewest.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Murphy takes it away that he's out of bounds with
another major shift in favor of Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Dropping back to throw typically means the quarterback had to
dance the ballroom blitz. There are lots of purple people.
Leader Vibes with this defense fourth most sacks with forty
nine wall Wow. And they are not soft against runners,
holding them to four per try, I said Vibes. Alan
Page's group, the Ogppes Vikings twenty twenty six defense will

(07:50):
have a different flavor than twenty twenty fives. We should
see a full year of starts from Dallas Turner had
ten last year, blasted eight quarterbacks, eleven tackles for loss
in six D six tackles. He's the guy they feel
like is about to become a star pass rusher.

Speaker 6 (08:05):
Dallas Turner sacks Michael Pennix.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Across from him the ultimate Viking.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Days on fire.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
Andrew Van Ginkle was born to play in Minnesota, only
got twelve games in dropped seven quarterbacks in that window.
Andrew defensive end slash DT. Jalen Redmond had a mini
breakout in his second year.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Are ready for that?

Speaker 4 (08:29):
Are you ready for that?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
He didn't play much as a rookie, then when given
more opportunities over sixty tackles twelve for a loss in
a half dozen backs up. As to some of the
changes to their front seven, no more. Jonathan Grenard at
outside linebacker Bernard a ten plus sack guy in twenty
twenty three and twenty four, but only three last year.

Speaker 7 (08:49):
What's that prison?

Speaker 1 (08:50):
No more Jonathan Allen at defensive end. He departed off
a sixty eight tackle, three and a half sack campaign.

Speaker 7 (08:56):
He got boys a hit and then he kept head again.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
Are supposed all around to him?

Speaker 1 (09:01):
And no more. Javon Hargrave in the middle walked out
the door with a fifty two tackle, three and a
half sack season.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Hey sacked.

Speaker 6 (09:08):
They finally sacked Caleb Williams.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
They replaced both chaps in the draft, Caleb Banks taking
the first round.

Speaker 10 (09:15):
I mean, there is a ton of ability there, but
he's had an injury with his foot.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
He reinjured.

Speaker 10 (09:20):
It didn't get to see him much this year, so
someone only played three games this year.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
He's a flash player.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
It's a little bit hot and cold.

Speaker 10 (09:28):
But when you see that on the screen six to
six in a quarter, you see that size at three
hundred and twenty seven pounds with thirty five inch arms,
I mean, this is a swing for the fences. If
you hit on this one, you could end up with
an All Pro.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
In defensive tackle. Dominique Horne taken in the third.

Speaker 10 (09:45):
He was dominant in the Iowa game, the rivalry game.
Very powerful guy plays that one tech nose in a
nose technique. He's going to be right over the center.
I think you can kind of control the line of
scrimmage and he'll flash some of that lateral range. Not
just pressing guys back, but you'll see him get lateral
and make some tackles.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
So an interesting player pass rush.

Speaker 10 (10:04):
Look, there's no sacks, there's not a lot of production
to go off of there.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
You're drafting him to stop the runs for Levi Drake
Rodriguez a couple of sacks in his second year over
forty tackles and a nice eight tackles for loss, mostly
as a backup.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
Here's a blitz Goffice hit and Jared Goffis.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Sacked the dudes at level two. What a year Eric
Wilson had so good may be hard to replicate, especially
because it came in his ninth season, but one hundred
and fifteen tackles, six and a half sacks, and he
led all inside linebackers and tackles for loss.

Speaker 6 (10:37):
Here's Bernard he got held Prova Black.

Speaker 5 (10:40):
Hen's damn Donald's.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Is that fellow Vett Blake Cashman led the team with
one hundred and forty four tackles and he only played
thirteen games. He's cracked one hundred plus three straight years.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
He's going to be sacked down, goes Jared Goff.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
I believe that was Blake cash I have in pace
ross playing time to Wilson and posted the fewest tackles
he's had over his first three seasons. Still factored into
sixty plus, though packed.

Speaker 6 (11:06):
Once gets away from Grenard and finally is taken down
by Ivan Page Junior.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
And still not done. Linebacker Jake Goldey picked up in
the second round of the draft.

Speaker 10 (11:17):
When you're over six foot four, almost two hundred and
forty pounds and you can really run and carry guys
down the slot, to go along with some of that
range off the edge, you'll see him rush at times.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
That versatility backside. Salt and Peppa would remind them to
thank their moms for one that looks that nice. They're
plenty happy to run it back with these dudes. Corner
Byron Murphy still looks CB one ish woo over seventy
tackles held quarterbacks to a low seventies rate. Couple of picks.

Speaker 7 (11:45):
Hi'm mith woyette hi mith Woyette corner.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Isaiah Rodgers comes off a breakout here, blocked a field goal,
held his targets to a sub ninety rates.

Speaker 11 (12:04):
Rodgers over sixty tackles, four forced fumbles used, the first
NFL player with two defensive touchdowns and two forced fumbles
in a game.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
He scored twice in his fifth season.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
What's the football, It's Rogers again, off the running. Oh
my goodness, he runs a pack for a second touchdown today.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
And James Pierre, who they signed away from Pittsburgh, had
a career high eleven passes defensed a low fifties rating
ahead of his seventh year.

Speaker 10 (12:37):
It's picked up by Pierre racing down to the left sidelight.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Will they have Harrison Smith Skull Legend hasn't committed to
playing again, but hasn't officially said he's done either.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Polara assumption and number.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
Thirty eight taking his locker room stall. Jacoby Thomas, a
third rounder they had lots of picks in rounds one
to three.

Speaker 10 (12:58):
Got the ability to see the future a little bit from
the middle of the field to drive and make plays.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
Here he shows you some of the pop he has
as a hitter. And then here's those ball skills.

Speaker 10 (13:07):
Did not catch the ball well at the combine CDA,
which shocked us because you see all these ball skills
when you're watching him on tape.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
But he does play. He plays aggressive, he plays fast.
You see it as a blitzers. He just dump trucks
the running back on the way to the quarterback.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Josh mattellis a sub ninety rate and two i nts
and over eighty tackles win at home.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
But the fuck.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
And THEO Jackson low seventies rate, two sacks. Few dB
rooms have so many guys who seem to be grooving
at once.

Speaker 6 (13:35):
Drake bubble bumblemitch, that's vikings paw. THEO Jackson picked it
up at the.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Thirty Nita toe. Will Reiker can get you a toe
by three o'clock thirty three for thirty five on field
goal tries, perfect on extra points. Believe me, dude, there
are ways and.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
Over end kick to give the biking the lead is good.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
So two new key faces added to the secondary Pierre
in a corner sort of takes the place of Jeff
Okudah and Fabian Moreau. Front seven banks for Allen Orange
for Hargrave gold A joining pace Wilson Cashman. That's a
deep inside linebacker room. They have the big riddle on offense,
who wins the quarterback job Kyler or JJ Jennings replacing Naylor.

(14:19):
Rest of the playmakers the same as last year. JJ, Addison,
Hawk Jones, and Mason Vikings are a tough read, which
is why they've been tabbed with an eight and a
half over under. So much depends on Kyler. Their expected
strength of schedule, so basing it off their opponents. Twenty
twenty six expected win totals is middle of the pack,

(14:40):
so not overly daunting at the very least. Let's look
at how they could do if Marie ends up as
Darnald two point zero and they shock everybody the way
he did in purple. Beat Green Bay at home, take
Tampa Bay, Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis. They have a real
tough four after that on the road versus Detroit, Roy

(15:00):
Buffalo at home, road games versus Green Bay and San Francisco.
But they get back on track versus Atlanta and Carolina.
Beat Detroit at home, Defeat Washington and the Jets plus
Chicago at home puts them back in the playoffs game
preview Guy Logic says, if they can win nine with
that quarterback situation they had last year, their defense alone

(15:23):
can carry them to nine dubs. Based on the health
levels of the Bill Swirsky super fan club last we
saw them. No way they survived to Bear's twenty twenty five.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Season cardiac Bear for a reason.

Speaker 1 (15:44):
They put even the healthiest of hearts to the test.
Now for the follow.

Speaker 7 (15:48):
Up exam to pay man, let me Go, Let me Go.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
Which they hope includes more trips where you can just
put it on cruise control.

Speaker 7 (16:00):
The Quarner magic is somehow continuing.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Twenty twenty five Chicago Bears football was must see TV.

Speaker 9 (16:08):
Allow it as the kiss touchdown Bears so Soldier Field
are rough?

Speaker 5 (16:14):
Do you feel a shaking a little bit?

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Two, it didn't matter who they were playing.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
Cot come back.

Speaker 7 (16:22):
Have the Bears tie.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
The game, whether they won or lost.

Speaker 7 (16:26):
Don't stop, what are you kidding me? That's growing j
day Walker.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
They did so in dramatic fashion week after week.

Speaker 8 (16:33):
You call him the comeback kids. They've been in this
position and it is tough. It's a postseason, but they
believe so. One thing about this team resilient and they
believe that they can find a way.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
They combined defense that led the league in takeaways.

Speaker 5 (16:45):
They're about to make a stop for you right now.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
You're gonna go win a t.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Game with an offense first and giveaways.

Speaker 9 (16:52):
Where we are right now, what you guys are doing,
it's no flute.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
And with the iceman showing up at the very last second.

Speaker 7 (16:58):
Well we go two. If you have the leverage on
the safety.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Go like all those superheroes Hollywood writes about.

Speaker 9 (17:06):
Catch may touchdown fars it's over at Soldier Field. The
Iceman cometh, The Iceman taketh twenty two sixteen pairs.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
That was one of four iconic throws made by Caleb
Williams Williams.

Speaker 5 (17:26):
Chase Scrow, I mean, are you kidding me?

Speaker 8 (17:35):
This is the kind of a secret sauce that makes
him so abiti.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
And it wasn't just any team he was building his
legendary status against.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
It's a rivalry that goes back one hundred and four years.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
Three of the four throws came against the team Chicago
loyalists loathed Bears Packers.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Nothing more needs to be set.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Against the team whose former quarterback boasted that he owned them.
The legend of the Iceman was born by defeating the
evil villain snap.

Speaker 9 (18:07):
Back for mat rush Caleb with a double both thrown
down the fly DJ Brds.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Then, Wow, what a play?

Speaker 7 (18:18):
What what the fuck?

Speaker 5 (18:20):
Bart?

Speaker 1 (18:24):
And while his last heroic effort didn't lead to victory,
you will be hard pressed to find a throw like
it anywhere in NFL history books.

Speaker 5 (18:32):
Playing backing up, take chase, go way back down.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Back to the sporting or tapes in this matter, well
suppressing to the ends up. It was the kind of
play you only expect to see in Madden Touch dab
oh god, with your defeated friend claiming it's what makes
the game fake.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
The Iceman did it, what more time.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Because no real quarterback could ever do that.

Speaker 9 (18:58):
And the pumpback kids, my god, they continue to inspire
on bad base.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Now the challenge of building off all of that. In
twenty twenty six, how about that bear weatherzone right right?

Speaker 5 (19:14):
No wheel out.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Caleb didn't hit his stated goals of thirty and four thousand,
but twenty seven tds only seven iron t's in this
year too.

Speaker 9 (19:22):
You thought that player was a throwaway and Caleb Williams
launched it to.

Speaker 5 (19:27):
DJ Moore the end zone.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
First under Ben Johnson takes the snap.

Speaker 9 (19:32):
Then I flipped it to a dude. Say back the
other way to DJ Moore, toss right up the quick
step down Caleb.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Playing optimism level is as high as it gets.

Speaker 7 (19:44):
Dude, make your play.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Chicago's offense popped for close to twenty six a game.

Speaker 9 (19:49):
Throws to the end zone to Kias touchdown, touchdown.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Bear top seven on third down and in yards per
game throwing right side.

Speaker 7 (20:00):
Well, what U?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
But the vibe is this is an offense about to
jump into top three Country.

Speaker 7 (20:06):
Rose deep.

Speaker 5 (20:09):
Touchdown.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Caleb himself holds the key to elevation.

Speaker 9 (20:17):
Day.

Speaker 1 (20:17):
His well documented accuracy issues the second lowest completion percentage
in the league. The sir mix a lot, but Chicago
receivers had an eight point three percent drop rate, third
highest in the NFL.

Speaker 7 (20:30):
Era all of it maked Bruck.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Johnson wants him near seventy percent. He jumps into the
mid sixties and they're scoring more often and earlier.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
Are you having any fun?

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Especially if he can keep up the Houdini act.

Speaker 9 (20:51):
He has had quite the day, running all over in
between away from but finally getting into the the touchdown.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Guys felt like they had him dead to rights and poof.
He was somewhere else.

Speaker 9 (21:03):
Eric Giants that could have had that fall, but Kata
Footing got a master class of escapability.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Right now, only twenty four sacks taken third few lists to.

Speaker 7 (21:14):
The prifteen ten Live gets down the lot.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Bear's picked up Jedrick Wills former Brown. He's young and
started his career with plenty of promise. Nobody on the
line allowed more than three sacks last year. Drew Dolman
retired unexpectedly. They traded for Garrett Bradbury, who snapped his
way to the Super Bowl with New England, and they
drafted Logan Jones in the second round.

Speaker 10 (21:38):
This is a Day one starter at center, and you
think about the loss with Dolman, and I know that
brought in Bradberg, but he's gonna have some competition.

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Here with Logan Jones, a little bit older.

Speaker 10 (21:47):
He's twenty four years old, arrived as a defensive lineman,
then kicked over to the offensive line.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
He's got excellent lateral quickness.

Speaker 10 (21:54):
You want to be able to run some outside outside
zone stuff.

Speaker 2 (21:57):
Get him on the mood latterly, he's excellent.

Speaker 10 (22:00):
To me, there's not a lot of development I don't
know that he's gonna benefit from sitting.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
He's ready to get on the.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
Field and block The offense has so many key guys
who are just getting started.

Speaker 9 (22:09):
Loveland away in the twenty tumble down inside the fifteen.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Once tight end Colston Lovelin started getting the looks he
clearly deserved. He was a force get Oh.

Speaker 8 (22:19):
But again, he's almost to the point now where he's saying, hey, guys,
I'm going to eighty four.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
Like the kind of kid you can see is one
of those truly special tight ends. Oh touchdown led the
team with seven hundred and thirteen yards fifty eight catches.
As a rookie, Taylor Crude lit.

Speaker 7 (22:35):
A lovel Cut streaks away the thirty leble ten.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
Touch got Down only started eleven games.

Speaker 9 (22:45):
Loveland Touchdown touchdown bears taylm to Loveland thirty six yards.

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Luther Burden also picked up steam as the year went along.

Speaker 8 (22:57):
Oh and David, He's got a man behind everybody, and
it's Burden of the twenty.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Lutherburton dances in I Turn, I Turn what I found.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
Ended his first year with over six hundred and fifty yards.
Their first and second rounders two years running have all
hit up had a job they believe. Roma Doonzay is
a w R one in waiting away the detail over

(23:32):
six hundred and fifty yards six t ds in just
twelve games in his second year.

Speaker 7 (23:37):
Open at the ten of the part. Don't say touchdown.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
The potential those three possessed the main reason DJ Moore
was expendable, traded off a six hundred and eighty two
yard sixty d run job. Shad about taking his spot.

(24:01):
Khalif Raymond, who played for Johnson in Detroit two hundred
and eighty nine yards last year, but he hit between
four hundred and eighty five and six sixteen twenty twenty
one to twenty twenty.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
Three touchdown Lions.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Or maybe it's Xavi and Thomas, a third rounder who
many think could make an instant impact.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
This is just pure speed.

Speaker 10 (24:21):
He ran up four to two eight. If you're into
that big time, big time juice down the field. There's
not a ton of production and you could see him
really separating with.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
That four to two eight speed. He's not a natural catcher,
as you see him kind of corral that ball with
his body.

Speaker 10 (24:34):
There's still work to be done there. I don't think
he's he's real smooth in that regard. But man, if
he does corral the football and gets going, you're not going.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
To catch it and demand do they like their running
back duo.

Speaker 5 (24:45):
Yo like a free throw? You're I said, damn.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
DeAndre Swift carried their offense a number of games.

Speaker 7 (24:55):
Yet goodbye press.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Swift over one thousand yards rush a career high nine
tds to.

Speaker 9 (25:02):
The end zone, right side touchdown touchdown Bear.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Nine hundred and fifty plus rush yards three straight years,
give it the episode, and Kyle Mnungai, with seven hundred
plus rush yards in his rookie season given him a.

Speaker 9 (25:16):
Nun guide by an guy touchdown touchdown Bear.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Five scores a nice four to six per handoff too.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
The Uncode.

Speaker 1 (25:29):
Bears offense seems to be on the upswing.

Speaker 7 (25:32):
No touchdown Bear.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Their defense, though, has a lot of.

Speaker 5 (25:36):
Work to do. That's on to be hurt.

Speaker 1 (25:38):
That's only hurt unless they can somehow finish top three
in takeaways again.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
They've bet another four turnover.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
It's not easy to pull off though.

Speaker 5 (25:48):
And the pass is intercepted of the en zone.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
And those thefts covered up for a group that gave
up twenty four a game. But hey, Gay, Only three
teams allowed more yards per game in the end zone
for the score, and they need to be tougher.

Speaker 5 (26:04):
On third down like you want to run now we
touch it looking for the.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
They led the league in Iront's boots John Rush type pocket,
but gave up seven point six yards per attempt at quarterbacks,
a rate north of ninety.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
Looking throwing out lock inside the twenty five inside the twenty.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
They had some nice games, but they need to produce
more of them this season.

Speaker 7 (26:25):
Only needs enough stop man.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
They need more from their pass rush, only thirty five
sacks last year and a low pressure rate.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
Okays got this one.

Speaker 6 (26:34):
He's got a first down barging up to the thirty and.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
The boy is their room for growth after allowing runners
five a carry a year ago and off Mason runs
so the right first out their Swiss cheese play versus
the run is why cutting ties with linebacker Tremaine Edmonds
made sense financially. But they do have to replace a
guy who led the team with one hundred and twelve
tackles and came down with four ironts the yard. Not

(26:59):
enough of those tackles close enough to the line of
scrimmage still have. TJ. Edwards did not have him enough
in twenty twenty five, as he missed seven games and.

Speaker 7 (27:07):
The first pick six.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
One twenty five plus tackle guy four straight years prior.

Speaker 7 (27:14):
Jay Light shots to t B TJ.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Edward his new partner Devin Bush one hundred and twenty
five tackles, three I n t's, two pick six's for
the Browns and his latest run and Devin Bush will
score a new set of safeties this year. They cut
ties with three from last season. NFL I n T Leader,
first team All Pro. Kevin Byers not re signed.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Gonna game good more attention. Let's stay light Dad.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
I have been admitted to not safety. Jaquan Brisker, also
a Bear no more, made ninety three tackles blitzing.

Speaker 7 (27:46):
Brisker hits Stafford sut He goes to.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
The SAT but did give up a team high seven tds.
It is caught by no V and they said goodbye
to CJ. Gardner Johnson who came on board midway gave
him three saxon ten games. Two I in T.

Speaker 5 (28:04):
See it job Garder Hutson.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
They replaced all three. They signed Kobe Bryant away from Seattle.
Held it down. To a low fifties rate four picks.

Speaker 5 (28:14):
Picked up.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Drafted Dylan Thieneman with their first round pick, the Oregon Smart.

Speaker 10 (28:20):
They played great defense, they utilized him closer to the ball,
but I actually like Tate better when you go back
and watch him at Purdue where they utilized him or
as that center.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Fielder where you could see him range and make plays
on the ball. Had a lot more production from there.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Also let corner Nasehan Wright bail book out in his
first year as a starter, sub eighty rate, five picks,
two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, a splash play machine.
Stuck with their other three primary corners, banking on a
healthy rebound from Kyler Gordon, who only got in three games,
and hoping for a whole year from Jalen Johnson who

(28:56):
only played seven games. Was solid when he played an
iront and a sub ninety right.

Speaker 12 (29:02):
It's picked up by Jalen Johnson. Judy had it near
his hands and Johnson took it away.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
And corner Tyreek Stevenson heads into his fifth year low
nineties rate, ten passes defense to pick, only one TD allowed.
In his third season, He's picked again Tyreke Stevenson and
safety Cam Lewis. Former Bill held quarterbacks to a low
eighties rate.

Speaker 3 (29:26):
Cam Lewis, if they've gone after a few times today
was able to jarred loose.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Those fellows could use more help from the boys up front.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
Cut up it bears football sacks Jo.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Defensive end Montes Sweat did his job as usual. Five
passes defensed, ten bags, thirteen tackles for loss.

Speaker 10 (29:46):
He gets around him quicker this time gets to miss
of Rudolph knocks.

Speaker 5 (29:50):
The ball out.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Got some help from d T. Gervon Dexter from five
sacks in twenty twenty four to a career high half
dozen in twenty twenty five, his third year.

Speaker 7 (30:00):
Dexter, He's gonna get up.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Defensive end Austin Booker flashed a few games in his
second season, four and a half sacks in just ten games.

Speaker 12 (30:08):
In trouble again, he escapes for the moment Sanders sacked
once more.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
Austin Booker with the sick to end it.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
And that was kind of it. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett
thirty nine tackles, one and a half sacks, fourteen games,
four starts. Defensive end Die o'dingbo eight games, one Sack
and Cairo Santo's when they don't finish a good drive
twenty five for thirty on field goal tries. Not quite
the lock he was compared to years past.

Speaker 7 (30:39):
As God God God for forty eight.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
So here's what the front seven looks like. Sweat Odeingbo
and Booker off the edge. Need Booker or Dio to
break out. Jarrett and Dexter in the middle again Edwards
with Bush behind them. Bush takes Edmund's place. Nu look
to their secondary deinem In, Bryant and Lewis for Gardner, Johnson,
Byered and Brisker. Three corners all the same. Johnson Gordon

(31:07):
hoping for a full year alongside Stevenson and the playmakers
on offense, Raymond and Thomas filling the void left by
the more trade rest no different than twenty twenty five.
Caleb working with Odoonsay, Burden, Loveland, Swift, and Monongai. Chicago
has a nine and a half over under label, in
part because of their schedule, not as much the roster.

(31:29):
They have the sixth hardest expected twenty twenty six slate. Basically,
you look at their opponents twenty twenty six expected win
totals not an exact science, but better than simply looking
at what everybody did the year before, being every roster
is different. Now, let's pretend we're moderate Bill Swerski super fans,
be realistic about their ceiling but overly optimistic at the

(31:51):
same time. Wins over Carolina, Minnesota, Philadelphia because hey, they
beat them last year, so why not again. The Jets
lost to Green Bay at Lambeau be Atlanta and New England,
Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Jacksonville at Home, Miami, Green Bay
and Detroit at the Crib and Sweet Minnesota. That's thirteen wins.

(32:14):
What's in the bag? In their case, what's in the
bag not brains. But I think Caleb will complete more
passes and that will mitigate the tough slate and by
them at least ten wins. Green Bay is starting to
test the Beatles. All you need is love theory. Maybe
Jordan could use a little help, because with a little
help from a friend or two, maybe it will all
finally come together for the Packers. In twenty twenty six,

(32:37):
the pack stuck with Matt laflora head coach. He's stuck
with O c Adams Stenovich to the tun to the fifteenth,
to the town to the house to the touchsdown Chris
Jen Watson and they stuck with most of the band
members that made up their twenty twenty four offense.

Speaker 5 (32:53):
Bo's meddle, what up and there's a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Jordan Love has seen his TD total dip back to
back years thirty two and twenty twenty three, down to
twenty three last year's great packs, but he did cut
down on the I iNTS, only six last season.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
Watch out of the total catches made. It's a touchdown, put.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
Up a plus one hundred on the Rake scale.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
Love looking to throw end zone left side.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
A healthy seven to seven yards per pass attempt.

Speaker 5 (33:28):
Lovey babble from moment now lost it right side of
the end zone.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
Watson leaping crab side side and I'll touch dumb catch
Christian Watson mile.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Mile mid Green Bay believes in him, but they need
more from him and the offense they take. Being second
on third down again.

Speaker 5 (33:46):
Loft it over the middle end zone, touch down.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
And only two teams had fewer turnovers his right side
coming back.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
Forward, making the Cats tuck our craft II Baily, I
shot my wife, my daughter, I love very much, a
move school.

Speaker 5 (34:02):
I love her.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
But they still only averaged twenty three a game. Middle
of the packing yards per game.

Speaker 9 (34:07):
Two they've bubbled a snap picked up by Emmanuel Wilson
and his Pears football.

Speaker 5 (34:13):
They take over with a chance to win.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Cheesehead o line left tackle Rashid Walker's out allowed a
team high seven sacks. We'll move Jordan Morgan over from
guard blind dealt with quite a few injuries last year.
Pressure rate allowed wasn't great, but only taking twenty nine
sacks seventh fewest is a win they'd take again in
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
It's the tackle of the five, no goal, not a
bounce for the Packer quarterback.

Speaker 1 (34:37):
Packers pass catchers. Still no true WR one emerge, but
a tight end one did.

Speaker 5 (34:42):
It's not just tight end's day extended to the night.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
And then got hurt. Tucker Kraft, hoping to rebound from
an injury shortened the year three.

Speaker 5 (34:50):
Got Tucker Craft cuts down.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Seven hundred yards seven touchdowns in twenty twenty four, and
then was on pace to have a gronk Lie gear
when he went down six tds and close to five
hundred yards in just eight games.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Got us then cutting left to the five to the ends,
Tucker three night touchdown Green batman.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
His backup Luke Muskrave, with a little over two hundred
and fifty yards, has shown to be a capable backup
type thus far in his three years. Christian Watson, the
guy who feels like he could be a Numero Uno type.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
An easy throw that time for Jordan Love put a touchdown.

Speaker 5 (35:29):
Good call by Matt Lafloor.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Come on here, over six hundred yards, six scores in
just ten games.

Speaker 5 (35:37):
Lit a fire in the middle. He's got Watson ten
of the five to the ends touchdown.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Green Bay Packers question Watson once he cut it, he
would not be denied.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
A full year at that pace, and his stash sheet
would have looked pretty impressive.

Speaker 7 (35:54):
And he's gone touchtop Green Guy.

Speaker 5 (35:58):
Packers.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
They hoped Matthew Golden would be that guy. Over three
hundred and sixty yards in his first year.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
You talk about run after the catch one one.

Speaker 1 (36:11):
They were hoping for more, though, if you won't have
to compete with Romeo Dobbs for targets this year out
the door after leading the team in receptions with the
career high seven hundred and twenty four yards, also slammed
a six pack of tds.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
GIRs what shot downs right open touchdown? Held up? Packers
plot it open no more?

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Dontevian Wicks either traded him off a three hundred and
thirty two yard year.

Speaker 5 (36:35):
And a touchdown touchdown. Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
Still have Jaden Reed, another guy who can be a
difference maker if he can stay healthy. Only played seven
games last season.

Speaker 5 (36:47):
Looks bluff what shot Dydan Ray touchdown? Green Bay Packers.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
On handoffs, Josh Jacobs comes off a thousand plus yard
scrimmage yards year. He was on the team in receptions
with thirty six.

Speaker 5 (37:02):
Ah beautiful throw for a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Nine hundred and twenty nine yards on the ground.

Speaker 5 (37:08):
Josh Jacobs with a blast.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Eight o five. His low sixteen fifty three is high
in his seven years in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (37:19):
Josh Jacobs just would not be denied.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
Thirteen tds in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 5 (37:24):
Who else in the red zone but Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 1 (37:28):
Twelve plus rushing touchdowns three of his last four years.
We'll have a new backup. Emmanuel Wilson departed close to
five hundred yards coming off the bench most games. Filled
in nicely when Jacobs was hurt too.

Speaker 5 (37:44):
And Wilson slips throw in scores to give Green Bay.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
The LEAs still a very young group in general, but
they need the fruit to ripen Already defensive side of
things was a mixed bag in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 3 (37:56):
Dominnic the bil Dominic the lottest Grimmens third effect what
who go hey?

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Dop ecko three two.

Speaker 1 (38:02):
Three former Colts DC than Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon
brought into tidy up. Maybe create a few more turnovers
only fourteen last year propos.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
Then it's funded, and I believe Green Bays got it.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
Play the red zone tougher twenty first a year ago, black.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
By Lovelt to the two, to the one to the
end zone.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Still Packers held teams to twenty one a game, twelve
fewust yards per game shot Daniel stepped up. Daniels test
set held passing attacks to less than one hundred and
ninety five yards per game, quarterbacks to a nice low
six to four per attempt fifth lowest.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Winston sets throws left side of the ends of better accepted.

Speaker 5 (38:43):
Better accepted by the kid.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
Oh Evan Williams delivers in the left corner of the ANSA.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
It would like to finish QB's off more often with
their pass rush twentieth in sacks, sew up the.

Speaker 7 (38:58):
Death and about get.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
But it wasn't a lack of trying. They had the
ninth highest pressure rate.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
And he's sacked for the sixth time today and the
third time by Mike Cup Parsons.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
And they played the run respectably, holding runners to four.
Want to carry it is the running back and down
he goes. So you can see some good within there,
some bad within there.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
Truss up by what you all right?

Speaker 1 (39:26):
It don't overthink they were an above average group, but
better than that. When Micah is on the field.

Speaker 3 (39:32):
Conface head and sacked he's head and sacked my Cup
Parsons again, two and a half sacks for Parsons today.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Parsons fourteen games and a few of those were limited
snap counts. Twelve and a half sacks.

Speaker 5 (39:44):
We have an elephant in the room and its name
is Michaeh Parson.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
He'll have all the talking heads asking the same questions.
When's he going to be ready? Will he be the
same old Parsons when he is?

Speaker 5 (39:55):
Pussy's chasing persons gets me he's dead by content.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Won't be partnered with Rashawn Gary this time around off
to Dallas off a seven and a half sack year.

Speaker 10 (40:05):
Placo has time, Flaco is sacked, had time at all
kinds of time.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Gary and Vennes eventually got home and brought him down.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Of the twenty defensive end Kingsley and Igbari also bounced
seventeen games, thirty nine tackles, two sacks, so more opportunity
for defensive end Lucas van Ness nine games, two starts,
one and a half sacks. They also had to make
do without defensive tackle Davonte Wyatt for seven games.

Speaker 5 (40:32):
Under pressure, He's head and sacked.

Speaker 7 (40:34):
Wow Defante Wyatt.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
He made it home four times in those ten games
he played.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
There your dagger delivered by defuncte Wyatt.

Speaker 1 (40:46):
He'll be next to newcomer Javon Hargrave Vet with over
fifty tackles for the Vikings and twenty twenty five three
and a half bags back to pass Hey sacked.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
They finally sacked Caleb.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Williams also picked up Chris mcclach in with their third
round picking the draft.

Speaker 10 (41:02):
Absolute outstanding size and length that he brings to the
table over thirty four inch arms had the five sacks.
You can see him as a pass rusher. He's got
that club rip move. He's got a little hump mobile
power move.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
You see it right there, trying to club guys.

Speaker 10 (41:16):
And then when you watch him at the point of
attack in the run game, a little more stack and peak,
just kind of stack blocks and then try and find
the football.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Defensive tackle. Carl Brooks at twenty eight tackles seven starts.
Colby Wooden gone made fifty tackles, six tackles for Lossy.

Speaker 3 (41:32):
You'll let nobody walk your long career with darted boom Hey,
we'll go out in it today and no more.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Kway Walker at linebackers career high one hundred and twenty
eight tackles last year, two and a half sacks for
the second year in a row.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
Who is sacked? Carson's watch again a lot which Gray.

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Walker they picked up Zaier Franklin though one hundred and
twenty five wrap ups last year plus two sacks, one
hundred and twenty five plus tackles four seas and straight.

Speaker 12 (42:00):
But he's on the what's on pecks and Sire Franklin
comes up huge on this driving over time.

Speaker 1 (42:07):
Eddrin Cooper trending in the right direction from eighty seven
tackles as a rookie to one eighteen in his year two.

Speaker 3 (42:13):
You're dom Don with us sat back outside the thirty
arc life a light on the scene.

Speaker 5 (42:19):
I drank Cooper? What's also there?

Speaker 1 (42:22):
And Isaiah McDuffie eighty five plus tackles for the third
year in a row ninety two last season the better letter?

Speaker 5 (42:28):
Accept it? Hi, Siah mcduffey.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
How does Green Bay have the best safety duo? Just asking?
Evan Williams one hundred tackles and three iron t's as.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
A rookie from the shotgun, here's the snap that Jared
goff quick for the right side. Yes, yes, duping intercepted
for the Green Bay Packers and Van Williams.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
Ex still marks the spot and still spots the marks,
I'm told. Thankfully McKinney made second team All Pro because
how exactly he does a guy who held quarterbacks to
a forty rate had nine passes defense, two iron t's,
one hundred plus tackles not make the Pro Bowl?

Speaker 12 (43:08):
Looking for Judy and it's intercepted Savior McKinney.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
What's next? Bill Belichick not making the Hall of Fame?

Speaker 9 (43:16):
Wait?

Speaker 5 (43:17):
What accepted? Intercepted? Savior mckitny corner.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Keishawn Nixon, on the other hand, did make the Pro
Bowl despite allowing a rate over one hundred, giving up
seven touchdowns according to Next Gen Stats, had a late
season fade on some level.

Speaker 7 (43:31):
Catch made touchdown Bears.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Yes, Kishawn made the Pro Bowl as an alternate, and
he did knock down seventeen passes. Looked especially strong early,
had the iconic game winning pick versus Caleb and the Bears.

Speaker 3 (43:44):
That are set up a leaping interception by Keishawn Nixon.

Speaker 1 (43:50):
Hen there is your dagger corner. Carrington Valentine matched Nixon,
allowing seven touchdowns in his third season. Look at what
he did, hold his targets to a fifty four percent
completion rate was eighty one percent the year before, So
there was progress mixed in there.

Speaker 3 (44:09):
Jack brod it is plucking out and the play made
by Valentine.

Speaker 1 (44:14):
Defensive back Javon Bullard made strides in his second year.
Great against not great, but he played a lot in
the slot, which tends to be as much about limiting
catches to short yards. He made eighty three tackles and
only allowed one touchdown all year.

Speaker 5 (44:28):
Well came loose. Question is was it a catch, Javon
Bullard gathered it.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
In and nabbed Brandon Sisa with their second round pick.

Speaker 10 (44:37):
Because he's got legit, legit speed. You want to see
him be a little more consistent with his hands. When
he uses his hands and pressed, he can be outstanding.
You see him with his hands real low. Here'd like
to see him land those hands. Reroute guys a little
more consistently. But he's been so athletic and he's so
fast he's been able to cover up for it. A
real fluid, smooth mover.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
You see the ability to plant and drive on balls.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
So the secondary looks this way. Starting five should be
the same. Nixon, McKenny, Williams, Valentine and Bullard all back,
SISA and former charger Benjamin Saint justs in the mix
at corner as well. Front seven with three new faces
who should see action. Hargrave replacing Wooden in the trenches,
McClellan in there as well. Van Ness gets a chance

(45:20):
at more starting Gary's place, Franklin for Walker at inside linebacker.
On offense, Golden should get starters reps with Dobbs gone,
but everybody else they're counting on was with the team
last year, Watson and Reid hoping for full seasons as
his craft Love at quarterback with Jacobs behind him. Jordan
Love has won nine games three years in a row.

(45:42):
In theory, their schedule isn't hard or easy. Their expected
strengthen schedule, ie what their opponents projected win totals are
is middle of the pack. As middle of the pack
gets okay, Let's pretend Tom Grossi threw on his cheesehead
and was feeling super optimistic about his team season. They
would rip off six straight to start with wins over Minnesota,

(46:05):
the Jets, the Falcons, the Bucks, Chicago, and Dallas at home,
before taking a road loss to Detroit, then a win
over Carolina, a lost to New England since it's on
the road, beat Minnesota, New Orleans, Miami sweep Chicago, beat
Houston and Detroit at home, placing their theoretical ceiling at
thirteen games. I don't wear cheese on my head, just

(46:27):
this bag. I'm not an official member of the grassy posse.
Otherwise I'd go with eleven wins. Tom is too smart
to let game preview guy into the club. I wouldn't either,
so out of bitterness, I'll go with the under fourteen
hundred and one yards. That's eleven hundred plus four straight
and so on's on and Rock got him ten plus
tds three straight.

Speaker 5 (46:49):
I'm in Rock, same two three times today.

Speaker 1 (46:53):
One hundred plus catches four straight pro bowler four straight.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
Jared takes the snat back looking broing middle.

Speaker 7 (46:59):
God, I'm inside the two to the one to the
end zone touchdown.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Detroit Lion Jameson Williams comes off a career year.

Speaker 5 (47:06):
You know I'll be player four years. That's my first
set down in ITZO.

Speaker 7 (47:10):
Really really to get you a wait, good night figured out.

Speaker 2 (47:13):
It's like Randy haw I Thi two.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
For one over eleven hundred yards in his fourth season.

Speaker 7 (47:18):
Been bowing his way into the end zone touchdown Detroit.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Lyon seventeen d's for the second year in a row.

Speaker 4 (47:25):
Golf back off lofty left side watched Jamo inside the ten,
makes the craft into the end zone that he's scored.

Speaker 1 (47:31):
They have a big five on offense that rivals Scooby
dues twenty god.

Speaker 7 (47:35):
By Jamo fifteen what rights over touchdown to touchdown? Once
I seen murder with you want to say it's Sudow
we go.

Speaker 1 (47:44):
Tight end Sam Laporta was on pace for a huge
third year, but lost eight games to injury.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
What a play by Sam Laporta right over the defender's head.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
Oh my goodness, close to five hundred yards in nine games.

Speaker 12 (47:57):
Got a complete Laporta twenty Laporta fifteen, spinning at the tenth,
fighting at the five, still going at.

Speaker 5 (48:03):
The three, to the two, to the one, to the
end zone.

Speaker 12 (48:06):
Touchdown the toy Lions, Sam Laporta give it out, rides
for free.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
The scrappy view of the show Tesla, the ze cats Tesla.
Not many yards as the tenth look or whatever, But
how about a half dozen tds as a rookie offs.

Speaker 4 (48:25):
The right side wants tesla, does he make a one
handed chess cal Don't you tell me he did that?

Speaker 5 (48:31):
All rookie? You are something else.

Speaker 7 (48:33):
Legs two catchers one hand right here.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
I don't know what gets inteview gets in one area
they feel like they can improve in year over year.
Their o line, play.

Speaker 2 (48:48):
Back look at Golf of trouble, Getta get.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Sacked and the thrown to the turf. Injuries factored, of course,
but not enough to explain the drop off. Got a
wan a little bit more Penny Sewell openly took responsibility
for the group not playing up to its standard and
they allowed thirty nine sacks and the higher than average
pressure rate.

Speaker 3 (49:08):
He's having sacked my cup Parsons again two and a
half sacks.

Speaker 1 (49:12):
Sewell is moving to left tackle this year. They cut
it off with Taylor Decker, drafted Blake Miller in the
first round. Demand the right side.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
How about the comparison there. It's gonna be the guy
that he's replacing at Taylor Decker, just on the opposite side.

Speaker 10 (49:25):
They're gonna flip him over to the right side and
cover up speed he's at I think is at lit.
Some did surprise some people at the combine. I wasn't
too worried about it, but you eased all those concerns there.
He's got instincts. He sees things clearly on the edge.
You want to try and run games. You can pick
that off.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
And here's some of the nastiness.

Speaker 1 (49:41):
They're also gonna roll with a new center, Kate May's
former Panther, Juice Scrugs, former Texan the Options taking Graham
Glasgow's spot who gave up five sacks. Kate Rutledge, Christian
Mahogany at guard. He only got an eleven games in
twenty twenty five ahead of his third year, so some
tinkering re acquired to the offensive side of things.

Speaker 5 (50:02):
No one's coming up, save us make some plays.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
Let's go more room for growth on the defensive side.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
It's another unperforming man. Play brother played, but he's mad man.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
They gave up twenty four a game fires to the
end zone, touchdown eighteenth and yards per game allowed match
down and way too generous in the red zone. It
is cut the injury. Voodoo Doll was alive and well again,
hurting their secondary more than any other unit. A one
hands a cat gave up a ninety two rating to quarterbacks,

(50:34):
seven point three yards per attempt allowed and eleven point
eight per completion. Only four teams gave up more.

Speaker 5 (50:41):
Parkinson his second score of the day.

Speaker 1 (50:44):
Corner Amik Robertson is out gave up a team high ATDs.

Speaker 5 (50:48):
That's time initially great, oh deep down the right side.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
And corner Rocky Scene the only other dB to play
all seventeen games for them in twenty twenty five. He
fared much better than Robertson, holding his targets to a
low eighties rate, knocked down nine passes too at the forty.

Speaker 5 (51:07):
Eight yard line. After review the defender head let us
up the pack.

Speaker 1 (51:14):
Everybody else in their dB room missed at least three games.
Bryan Branch played twelve games. Hard to say when he'll
be recovered from his torn achilles has that edge to
his game. Perfect Detroit baller Oi Prescott.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
Look, but he had busted out a pocket over to
his life.

Speaker 7 (51:30):
Brows the ferguson at the fifty and he's going to
be taking bad well. Shortly pay a pocket to twent Lions.
They punched it out of there and the Lions are
on top of it.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
Corner DJ Reid only eleven games played, low eighties rate
when he was on the field. Seven passes, defense, two picks.
It's what they hoped for when they signed him, and
hoped for again with more.

Speaker 5 (51:50):
Games logged, d J Reid, that's his moment.

Speaker 1 (51:54):
Safety Kirby Joseph making his way back from a bad
knee injury. Six games played in twenty twenty five. I've
still picked off three passes in that short span.

Speaker 9 (52:03):
Hit I'm gonna go down literally rolls to the right
and ross down field.

Speaker 5 (52:07):
Bick come my Cordy Joseph. Joseph put the dobby in
their tout.

Speaker 1 (52:11):
Vet safety Thomas Harper made nine starts in his absence,
and vet safety of Vonte Maddox filled in nicely, holding
things down to a nice low seventies rating.

Speaker 5 (52:20):
Blood it ripped. DJ Moore is down there. Hedotage accepted
by Vonte Maddox in the end zone.

Speaker 1 (52:26):
If they can just avoid the blue tenth this year,
they should revert back to form and then.

Speaker 5 (52:31):
Some Now he's gonna get hit. That is another big
play by that Lion's defense.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Because their pass rush with forty nine sacks total fourth most.

Speaker 7 (52:40):
Gonna get hit. Wut to go down sacked and the
ball down.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Leading the way of course, Aiden Hutchinson going nice.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Seven, It's be great.

Speaker 5 (52:47):
Let's go, buddy, It'll be great.

Speaker 1 (52:48):
Let's go with a career high fourteen and a half
sacks last years head tall couch loose got it to
cover by the Lions thirty five qb hits fourteen towns
for lock picked.

Speaker 7 (53:01):
Up by eight mutches down right side, punches into the down.

Speaker 4 (53:04):
To the twenty and he's taken down from behind at
the sixteen yard line.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
Kind of dude, who could rack twenty plus, but won't
get help from defensive end al Kladin Muhammad again eleven
sacks a year ago.

Speaker 5 (53:18):
Look at that he goes Wellhamed.

Speaker 1 (53:23):
That's three for him to eleven sacks in twenty twenty five,
fourteen combined in his first seven years, so they weren't
buying it. They replaced him with Derek Moore, who they
picked up in the second round.

Speaker 10 (53:34):
About the power and the bull rush that he possesses,
you see it from every single game.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
He's going to test your brakes.

Speaker 10 (53:40):
He's gonna put his hands on your chest and he's
going to try and run you right back to the quarterback.

Speaker 5 (53:45):
And then if he gets to an edge, he's just gonna.

Speaker 13 (53:47):
Pry open that outside shoulder and flatten him a fit
and they added dj one him only seven sacks in
his two years in Carolina, had two eight sack campaigns
with Minnesota.

Speaker 1 (53:59):
In his for four years, though he ran backwards and.

Speaker 5 (54:02):
Back into the pressure sack by low.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
Their interior guys didn't shot much, but their linebackers blitzed
their way to plenty of bags. Jack Campbell living up
to his first round status with the first team All
Pro year career best one hundred and seventy six tackles,
second most in the NFL last year, a career high
five sacks.

Speaker 7 (54:22):
You gotta get hit, gotta go down sack. Jack Campbell
got him his e in the end zone.

Speaker 5 (54:28):
Tell me boys, that's a safety.

Speaker 7 (54:30):
Put two on the board for Detroit.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
Derek Barnes also had his best year as a pro
seventy eight tackles, four QB takedowns, six tackles for loss,
and a pick.

Speaker 5 (54:41):
That is a safety. Derek Barnes back home and making
himself at home.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
Won't have alex Anzeloni's services anymore though. Ninety five plus
tackles three of the last four years, two and a
half sacks in twenty twenty five, eight passes defense and
a Pickstine.

Speaker 4 (54:57):
Pickoff alex Anzelona put back left side.

Speaker 5 (55:00):
It's only inside the thirty five. Inside the thirty every
runs out of bouts the twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (55:04):
It would help if those guys could get to ball
carriers a little sooner. They gave up four to four
a carry on the ground last year.

Speaker 5 (55:10):
He's got a hold. Hevery did the try more changes.

Speaker 1 (55:13):
They let defensive tackle DJ Reider walk seventeen games twenty
eight tackles. Dt Eli McNeil fourteen tackles and ten games.
Rookie defensive tackle Tyleek Williams eighteen tackles seventeen games, ten starts.

Speaker 5 (55:26):
We good after the raft Herman maun.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
Jake Bates, looking to remaster his craft. Did lead the
NFL on extra points and extra point attempts for the
second year in a row, fifty four for fifty six
there a year ago, but he missed seven field goals,
five were from fifty plus out, so needs to work
on his long ballstroke a little.

Speaker 4 (55:46):
It is good the Lions winning on the final play
of the game, so a couple of new faces added
to the front seven more and Wanham in place of
Muhammed at d end, hoping they can play the star
ski for Hutch Willilliams McNeil sandwiched in between Campbell Barnes
and Malcolm Rodriguez behind them.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
Malcolm only seven games played last year, stepping into Anzelonei's
starting spot. The secondary a lot hinges on when Kirby
and Branch are going to be ready to go. They
signed Roger McCreary at corner was with LA and Tennessee
last year, played the pass well after he got traded
to the Rams and the action he got in. They
also added former Buccaneer Christian Izzian and former Steeler Chuck

(56:28):
Clark for safety depth. Both guys were backups last year,
both with starters experience prior to that. The playmaker's room
almost the same as last year, but Checko from Montgomery
the only change. Goff, Gibbs, Saint Brown, Jamo, Tesla, and
Laporta all back. No reason they shouldn't keep putting up
digits with that group. Detroit has been tabbed as one

(56:51):
of the top rebound candidates. Thus, they're ten and a
half over under Marker, which is tops in the NFC
North and second highest of any team. That's tied to
the fact they have the easiest twenty twenty six schedule
in all the land. If you go off their opponents
twenty twenty six expected win totals and here those are
even if they lose to Buffalo and maybe in Chicago

(57:14):
and Green Bay since they're supposed to be tough, that's
a fourteen win season. It is, in fact a very
favorable slate, especially with that offense. In turn, it makes
it easy for them to earn a game preview Guy
seal of approval on an eleven plus win year
