night football on Prime Video. What a game we have
heading into this one? If you can't say a quarterback's name,
what are you looking forward to tonight? In this game?

The four pass rushers, all of them, Everybody they're bringing
from both sides, Chiefs, Chargers, everybody. I think games. Well,
I'm gonna talk about a second. Somebody's gonna make a
mistake tonight. We'll find out who. Yeah. I think there's
a cool like celebrity factor to this, And I don't
necessarily mean fans that side. I mean that this is
going to be bright lights. Amazon's unveiling things. It's under
the lights in Kansas City, has this new field. I

feel like this is a big league moment. New broadcast
partner under the lights again. Like I said, and then
two of the prime quarterbacks. I mean, this feels like
a playoff game and it's week two prime quarterbacks. You
know what I'm looking at. I want to see how
the dvs are going to cover all these corners, say
these big names. That's what I want to say. I
want to say some defense. I love it. Well, we
have ton of people all over this game tonight. Time

for the league Block block. One of those people, unfortunately,
has to be all over the injuries that are headlining
this game. Tom Hellasero or NFL Network insider, joins us,
Now we are hours away from a special Thursday night
game on Prime Video Chargers Chiefs, but you have the
latest on the injury news ahead of this game. Well, Jamie,
there's one big player who's not going to be there.

That is Keenan Allen, the Chargers star wide receiver who
is officially out for this game against the Chiefs because
the hamstring that he injured on Sunday. Now, my understanding
is this is not to believed be any type of
long term issue for Keenan Allen after he underwent tests
on Monday. Their next game September twenty fifth against Jaguars,
he should have a shot to get back for that. Meanwhile,

cornerback j C. Jackson, I'm told is considered a game
time decision tonight. Jackson had ankle surgery on August twenty third,
very limited in practice this week, but they want to
work him out pregame before they make the final call. Meanwhile,
for the Chiefs, quarterback Patrick Mahomes good to go with
that left wrist injury he had last week. Kicker Harrison
Butker out because of his ankle, which means matt Amandola,

who is signed to the practice squad three days ago,
is about to be elevated and kick in prime time.
Jamie all right, Jase Jackson being a game time decision,
and which means the sideline reporter Keely Hartongue will be
all over that as we lead up to kickoff. Thank you,

some defense. Which defense is going to perform in the
two minute situation? I know how great these quarterbacks are.
Neither one of them ever have a bad game in
this matchup. They're going to be magnificent. And three out

of the four games against each other has been decided
by six or fewer points coming down to the last play.
The one game that it wasn't that and it was
more than six points. Patrick Mahomes didn't play Week seventeen,
twenty twenty, didn't have anything to play for. So for me,
it's gonna come down to which defense is able to perform.
And at two minute drill comes down is whether it's Mahomes,

whether it's Herbert. You have the ball, it's two minutes,
minute and forty seconds left. They're driving down the field.
Can you get a stop? And if you do get
a stop and give the ball back to Patrick Mahomes,
can their defense now come out on the field and
execute as a defense As a team. We go over
these drills all the time, but it's a totally different
thing Thursday night under the lights. Who's going to perform

when it matters most the Drwin versus Kelsey is worth
the press of admission. I mean that is a fantasy.
And Derwin was out last year in that Thusday night
game where Kelsey let him up. So that's a great match,
And honestly, I might have to change my answer after here.
In Pela Sera's report, Matt Amendola, the Chiefs kicker, is
obviously gonna play a role in this tonight like that
is that kid ready? It's gonna come down to a Mendola.
But as it pertains to the quarterbacks, I look, I

want to shoot out. I hope we get a shootout
with due respect of the defense. It's gonna come down
to who's blinking. Who's gonna blink. Is it gonna be Maholmes,
Is it gonna be Herbert? Someone's gonna make a mistake.
All these guys, and both these guys are not gonna
play perfect games. Who is gonna make the turnover late,
the strip sack, oh no, heartbreaking, or the interception that
just changes the entire game. These guys don't make a

ton of mistakes late. This is that over the course
of their career already Herbert has eleven and thirty three games,
they are late turnovers. I want to think we have
one tonight. It always comes to mind, like I think
about that fantastic Super Bowl in the Eagles versus the Patriots.
Who was just Foles Brady folds Brady back and forth,
back and forth, and then Brandon grabbing strips Brady and
that was like you knew that was the game, and

you just knew it because that Folls wasn't gonna blink.
I feel like we have that tonight whoever is gonna
make a mistake. As great as these guys are, they
both met at four hundred yards. It's that one I
NT late and a misread or a late throw I
think decides the game. Whoever blinks, Peter, We've projected thousands
of games on the show, and you and I together
have gone forth on about fifteen hundred AFC West. Do
you see thirty five, thirty two or do you see

like twenty one twenty In this there's a lot of
defensive firepower, so everyone's at forty six to forty. I
still think in the thirties the quarterbacks are too talented.
The Keenan Allen thing sucks a little bit. It's a
little frustrated player, but he's just gonna have to be better.

like yeah, and then Chiefs are like, oh, you lost
Keenan Allen. We lost Tyreek Hill. Yeah, Like what do
you come on? And That's where I'm going. Yeah, I

know this rivalry inside and out, and Tyreek Hill is
the Chargers killer and has been since he got there
in Kansas City. It always feels like it was Tyreek
making the big play. I go back to Mahomes's first
career start and everyone's saying in the NFL as a
as a week one starter, and everyone's like, who is
this Mahomes, what's he gonna do? There's a slant to
Tyreek on the opening drive and he's gone, and that

was the game. Like that was Tyreek. Danny gives the
peace sign. Then that was twenty eighteen, right, Okay, Well,
how about Herbert's first start as a as a pro.
He comes in, Tyrod has an issue her end of
the game, tight game, second and eight. Who is he
looking or in the big moment against the Chargers, it's
Tyreek Hill. I'm gonna go last year on a Thursday
night game, tell your point Derwin James not playing in

this game. The Chargers win this game, They've got a
real good shot at the playoffs. They're at home, They're
up twenty one to thirteen in the fourth quarter, and
Mahomes basically is like, where is Tyreek? Where is Tyreek?
Where is Tyreek? It was the Tyreek Hill drive in
the fourth quarter. Every single time he needed them, it
was Mahomes looking for number ten. Look at that catch.

That's a first down and then Chatannie get up and
they go to over time he hits Tyreek again. I've
watched these two teams go at it for a long time,
and since Tyreek Hill has gotten in the league, Mahomes
has always gone to Tyreek in these big Chargers games.
I want to see who steps up. It's one thing
to third and nine different receivers against the Arizona Cardinals.
It's another thing to go into the AFC West and

play against these guys without your security blanket. Is it Juju,
is it mvs? Is it Skymore? Is it Justin Watson
or is it just Kelsey, Fortson and Gray? We're going
to the tight ends. Can't wait to see who steps
up for Tyreek in the moments that matter. Yeah, but listen,
at least in Week one for the Chiefs, you saw
what Patrick Maholmes could do without Tyreek Hill. I mean
it was against Arizona Cardinals, but I know it wasn't

in the division. But at least you have one sample
size of what it could be like. Last week in
the first half for Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen up
until the twelve minute mark of the second quarter, Keenan
Allen had four catches, good for sixty six yards. The
pace that he was on talking about pace guy to
become obviously the favorite guy, favorite target for Justin Herbert
in that game was remarkable. What it could have become

in the second half and this season. So I hate
this for Keenan Allen. I hate the fact that he
doesn't get to play in this moment and show why
he should be the top guy for the Chargers. That
being said, a lot of other guys have an opportunity
to step up here. Josh Palmer was on Peter's Breakout
Player's list tight end general Gerald Everett. He had a
tight touchdown last week fifty four yards for the Chargers.

I mean, he's got options Justin Herbert does. He's spectacular.
He's got to make other people special, just like how
Tyreek kill. The argument was, did he make Mahomes good
to Holmes made Tyreek Hill fly? Okay, he's got speed,
but Mahomes put the ball where the ball it needs
to be. With Justin Herbert, who is he going to
make look special tonight because he doesn't have Keenan Allen.
Until your point, Keenan Allen still led that team and

I'm gonna do a sevement called the Fabulous five. We
go the top five rookie performers of the week. Let's
get it started for Week one, and it's the first
wide receiver selected in the twenty twenty two NFL Draft.
Lady and gentlemen, Drake London comes in at number five.
Big body Drake London six foot four, towers over everyone.

High school basketball superstar, did not do much in the
preseason or training camp. We didn't even know. And then
he shows up and Drake London's all over the field
in Week one against the Saints. Mariota's guy. Remember you
look at Kyle Pitts two catches, Drake London five catches
all over the field in this one, making plays looking
like a giant tower. And then the after the catch

that he can do was seeking out contact Kyle. That
could have been an angry run rut. There. Drank London
fantastic led the Falcons and receptions in Week one, second
most receiving yards ever by an Atlanta Falcon in his
NFL debut. Yes, number four. Let's go to the Windy

a rookie defensive lineman named Dominique Robinson makes our list.
Kyle your profiled him earlier this week, Dominique Robinson lumber
ninety one. That way, who is that against? Yeah, that's
the greatest left tackle in the sport. And that's a
guy in his first career start getting a sack after
lining up against Trent Williams in the rain. Dominique Robinson

is a fifth round pick out of the Universe at
Miami of Ohio, and he was born. This might be weird.

that they had some concerns about Trey Lance and the
starting quarterback situation. I don't think you saw the same
panic all of the Packers going into the season. They
chose mostly to stay path. They picked up Watkins, but
that was much earlier, and I think they felt good,
They're gonna be fine. Boys. Oh my gosh, you don't

have to address me, because it was the Minnesota Vikings
that pete the Packers. You're supposed to win that game.
You're supposed to win that game, supposed to win that game.
It's not really the same because you just said there
was no excuse last year for that Week one loss
to the Saints because they did it to themselves, like
the Vikings were just better than the Packers this weekend.
It was this weekend. Yeah, this last weekend, not next

this last weekend, but not next time. Kidding me, what
do you think that the Vikings are going to win
the NFC North, Jamie, I do, Kyle, and I put
them nor wager now what Jilly Wager? Week's okay? Now
for the NFL, Yeah, our next question. Monday night, Russell

Wilson goes back to his old place in Seattle. Always
see this finish of the game where the new head coach,
first year guy, decided to go for a sixty four
yard field goal instead of fourth and five. The next
day he came out and it's like, pretty much my bad,
I'll do it differently the next time. What did you
make of the whole thing and Russell's return. Well, I
think that you're asking me this question for a very
specific reason, which is, uh, there were similarities to the

playoff game a couple of years ago with the Packers
against the Bucks, and Lafleur made a similar decision to
kick a field goal when the win probability went way
down by kicking said field goal. Um, I don't know.
I think it was a bad decision. Yeah, I mean
I think that that Russell going back and and losing

gets his old team was was fun. I'm you know,
I'm not a big Russell guy, okay myself, that's exactly why.
And so, uh, yeah, I think the decision was wrong,
and he admitted it the next day. Yeah, without a doubt.
And Week one was insane. Seven of the sixteen games
decided by three or fewer points. There was a game
that really wasn't decided. A game could have won an overtime,

but it ended up in a tie. Are you happy
with that as a fan you're watching NFL was just
a tie twenty Uh? No, I always want a winner.
I mean, I totally understand why we don't want them
to play forever. I mean, you as a player have
got to understand the ramifications for that. For the next week. Um,
that Week one game they were asking me. The Bengals

Steelers game to me was like it just had everything.
And I think part of it is everyone was so
down on the Steelers before that game, and um, the
Bengals starting so poorly and coming back and then the
McPherson block and going on, but having the Steelers, it

just it's I think that division is going to be
incredibly fascinating year, no doubt. So. Um, you're a fantasy
football guy. We're gonna have our Adam Rank on the
show later, but you're here, so I might as well
just ask you the questions. Anyways, Um, who do you
have looking forward to on your team? Week two? What's
your team name? Like, I just kind of needs like
your can I interrupt real quick? When you were here
last time, you told us you're in a league with

all of the cast members from the office. Yes, crew,
crew writers. Yes, I think we're on year eighteen. I
think ye're eighteen. We used to like a legal pad
like this. We used to draft and passing it around

the Shane Wilson, John as the white shoot John H.
John Krasinski is in the league. I here is my draft.
First off, I was moving one like in life, like
moving houses. That's very distracting. I had the number one pick,
so I was like, oh Taylor, great, I got Josh Allen,

obviously helpful, but I was definitely more distracted and at
the end realized I had drafted both Dolphins wide receivers,
which is not yes, but that's not what you don't want.
This same guy. Thirty five seconds after the draft, Rain
Wilson is on the phone with me proposing trades like

exploitive trades never and I'm like he already yes, exactly,
like no, exactly, you got two Dolphins wide receivers. What
are you gonna do? I mean, you can't have those?
And I was just like whatever, So I rode with
that out of SPIKEE week one. I won by point
four points, but they both did okay. I think they
both had fourteen or fifteen points. Ye, So yeah, take

them up one of those trades. I'm gonna find somebody
else out of spite for him. So there are those
people in your league that you just know they come
at you with a trade and you're like, I'm not
no matter what, I'm not taking. Yeah, I'm finding It's also,
oh yeah, right away, give me Tyree Hill, I'll give
you the Panthers defense. That's so perfect. Uh. And he

had and I can't remember which one, but he had
he had had one of them. He probably had Alan

in Sunday Night the Packers of the Bears. I think
it'll be fun. It always is fun. Tonight, I think
is the best game year. And you know now I'm
going to betting twice. I mean, you're getting four points
with the Chargers. I like that a lot. I like

the Chargers. He narrowhead. I like the Chargers. Yeah, I mean,
I don't know if they win. I think it could
be incredibly close in a field goal or overtime or something.
I expect that. I think it's gonna be a great game.
The one I think that I'm most interested in, though,
which is bizarre, because these are two teams I have
really no connection too. But I think both teams are
interesting and fascinating, and we don't know who they are.

The Dolphins and the Ravens both one and oh both,
you know, I mean, I know the Ravens go to
the playoffs, but not teams that we follow. We kind
of don't know who they are. Are they good? Are
they not? Both good performances Week one, I'm I don't know.
I'm excited to see that game and see if we
get a better idea of who those teams are. Oh yeah,

I am so and so interested. We're all chili people here,

I started. I never made chili in my life. I
do cook quite a bit, never had made it. There

was a scene and at some point football season, I
have friends coming over and I said, oh, I'm gonna
make some chili. I'm gonna try to do this. I
look up a recipe, I make it, and then it's
the old like pick or it didn't happen. Thing. I
took a picture posted on Instagram. People like lost, well

like what's crazy? And I was like, oh, okay, that's fun.

Started doing it more. And then last year I went
to the World Champion Chip Chili cook Off Myrtle Beach.
I will be there next week. I will be there.
It's been going on over fifty years, and we partnered
with them and they gave us a bunch of world champions.

fun with it. We tell some story, we tell some
behind the scenes stuff from obviously shooting the show. Oscar

team two players that what we saw from them in
week one is something that we have to look forward
to in week two. Jason lead us one. Yes for me,
this kind of co sides of my survival Pig to
Baltimore Ravens one. They beat the Jets pretty handily, but

it was a player for the Jets, d J. Reid,
who had a really good game, didn't allow a single reception,
made an incredible acrobatic interception Allamar Jackson that didn't get
a ton of love because of the way the game went.
But the story in the game for him was more important.

Found out minutes before the game he lost his father
to an eighteen year battle with multiple scrosis and gets
text smashes before the game goes out there said he
wants to EDDI Kate, that's this season to his father.
You see him on his knee at a fifty yard
line after that big interception. To go out and play
that way and make an incredible interception like that, althose

a losing effort. He performed out of his mind. Was
one of the best corners on Sunday. So I wanted
to give dj Read a shout out. It's awesome. That's
a great story for those Jets too. We haven't talked
about I paced guy in a while, but it's time.
See this person right here. He is on pace to
throw sixty eight interceptions this season. It's not going to
happen that Cincinnati Bengals are on one. I feel like

they got their worst performance of the year. They're sloppiest
at least out in Week one against the Steelers, and

that left wrist injury he had last week. Kicker Harrison
Butker out because of his ankle, which means matt Amandola,

who is signed to the practice squad three days ago,
is about to be elevated and kick in prime time.

a stop and give the ball back to Patrick Mahomes,

these drills all the time, but it's a totally different
thing Thursday night under the lights. Who's going to perform

when it matters most the Drwin versus Kelsey is worth
the press of admission. I mean that is a fantasy.
And Derwin was out last year in that Thusday night

obviously gonna play a role in this tonight like that

with due respect of the defense. It's gonna come down
to who's blinking. Who's gonna blink. Is it gonna be Maholmes,
Is it gonna be Herbert? Someone's gonna make a mistake.
All these guys, and both these guys are not gonna
play perfect games. Who is gonna make the turnover late,
the strip sack, oh no, heartbreaking, or the interception that
just changes the entire game. These guys don't make a

ton of mistakes late. This is that over the course
of their career already Herbert has eleven and thirty three games,
they are late turnovers. I want to think we have
one tonight. It always comes to mind, like I think
about that fantastic Super Bowl in the Eagles versus the Patriots.
Who was just Foles Brady folds Brady back and forth,
back and forth, and then Brandon grabbing strips Brady and
that was like you knew that was the game, and

you just knew it because that Folls wasn't gonna blink.
I feel like we have that tonight whoever is gonna
make a mistake. As great as these guys are, they
both met at four hundred yards. It's that one I
NT late and a misread or a late throw I
think decides the game. Whoever blinks, Peter, We've projected thousands
of games on the show, and you and I together
have gone forth on about fifteen hundred AFC West. Do

the Chargers killer and has been since he got there
in Kansas City. It always feels like it was Tyreek
making the big play. I go back to Mahomes's first
career start and everyone's saying in the NFL as a

this Mahomes, what's he gonna do? There's a slant to
Tyreek on the opening drive and he's gone, and that

was the game. Like that was Tyreek. Danny gives the
peace sign. Then that was twenty eighteen, right, Okay, Well,
how about Herbert's first start as a as a pro.
He comes in, Tyrod has an issue her end of
the game, tight game, second and eight. Who is he
looking or in the big moment against the Chargers, it's
Tyreek Hill. I'm gonna go last year on a Thursday
night game, tell your point Derwin James not playing in

this game. The Chargers win this game, They've got a
real good shot at the playoffs. They're at home, They're
up twenty one to thirteen in the fourth quarter, and
Mahomes basically is like, where is Tyreek? Where is Tyreek?

the fourth quarter. Every single time he needed them, it
was Mahomes looking for number ten. Look at that catch.

is it mvs? Is it Skymore? Is it Justin Watson

to the tight ends. Can't wait to see who steps
up for Tyreek in the moments that matter. Yeah, but listen,
at least in Week one for the Chiefs, you saw
what Patrick Maholmes could do without Tyreek Hill. I mean
it was against Arizona Cardinals, but I know it wasn't

in the division. But at least you have one sample
size of what it could be like. Last week in
the first half for Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen up
until the twelve minute mark of the second quarter, Keenan
Allen had four catches, good for sixty six yards. The
pace that he was on talking about pace guy to
become obviously the favorite guy, favorite target for Justin Herbert
in that game was remarkable. What it could have become

in the second half and this season. So I hate
this for Keenan Allen. I hate the fact that he
doesn't get to play in this moment and show why
he should be the top guy for the Chargers. That
being said, a lot of other guys have an opportunity
to step up here. Josh Palmer was on Peter's Breakout
Player's list tight end general Gerald Everett. He had a
tight touchdown last week fifty four yards for the Chargers.

I mean, he's got options Justin Herbert does. He's spectacular.
He's got to make other people special, just like how
Tyreek kill. The argument was, did he make Mahomes good
to Holmes made Tyreek Hill fly? Okay, he's got speed,

to be. With Justin Herbert, who is he going to
make look special tonight because he doesn't have Keenan Allen.

you can talk all you want, but you have been
wasting your breath this week. Now. I do want to
say this though, come on, I think I think in
terms of overreaction, the one that I think has some
concern is the Niners. I think the Niners, because I

think they were signaling to us, the Niners being everyone,
that they had some concerns about Trey Lance and the
starting quarterback situation. I don't think you saw the same
panic all of the Packers going into the season. They
chose mostly to stay path. They picked up Watkins, but
that was much earlier, and I think they felt good,
They're gonna be fine. Boys. Oh my gosh, you don't

have to address me, because it was the Minnesota Vikings
that pete the Packers. You're supposed to win that game.
You're supposed to win that game, supposed to win that game.
It's not really the same because you just said there
was no excuse last year for that Week one loss
to the Saints because they did it to themselves, like
the Vikings were just better than the Packers this weekend.
It was this weekend. Yeah, this last weekend, not next

this last weekend, but not next time. Kidding me, what
do you think that the Vikings are going to win
the NFC North, Jamie, I do, Kyle, and I put
them nor wager now what Jilly Wager? Week's okay? Now
for the NFL, Yeah, our next question. Monday night, Russell

Wilson goes back to his old place in Seattle. Always
see this finish of the game where the new head coach,
first year guy, decided to go for a sixty four
yard field goal instead of fourth and five. The next
day he came out and it's like, pretty much my bad,
I'll do it differently the next time. What did you
make of the whole thing and Russell's return. Well, I
think that you're asking me this question for a very
specific reason, which is, uh, there were similarities to the

playoff game a couple of years ago with the Packers
against the Bucks, and Lafleur made a similar decision to
kick a field goal when the win probability went way
down by kicking said field goal. Um, I don't know.
I think it was a bad decision. Yeah, I mean
I think that that Russell going back and and losing

gets his old team was was fun. I'm you know,
I'm not a big Russell guy, okay myself, that's exactly why.
And so, uh, yeah, I think the decision was wrong,
and he admitted it the next day. Yeah, without a doubt.
And Week one was insane. Seven of the sixteen games
decided by three or fewer points. There was a game
that really wasn't decided. A game could have won an overtime,

but it ended up in a tie. Are you happy
with that as a fan you're watching NFL was just
a tie twenty Uh? No, I always want a winner.
I mean, I totally understand why we don't want them
to play forever. I mean, you as a player have
got to understand the ramifications for that. For the next week. Um,
that Week one game they were asking me. The Bengals
(22:48):
Steelers game to me was like it just had everything.
And I think part of it is everyone was so
down on the Steelers before that game, and um, the
Bengals starting so poorly and coming back and then the
McPherson block and going on, but having the Steelers, it
(23:08):
just it's I think that division is going to be
incredibly fascinating year, no doubt. So. Um, you're a fantasy
football guy. We're gonna have our Adam Rank on the
show later, but you're here, so I might as well
just ask you the questions. Anyways, Um, who do you
have looking forward to on your team? Week two? What's
your team name? Like, I just kind of needs like
your can I interrupt real quick? When you were here
last time, you told us you're in a league with

all of the cast members from the office. Yes, crew,
crew writers. Yes, I think we're on year eighteen. I
think ye're eighteen. We used to like a legal pad
like this. We used to draft and passing it around
the office. It would take like a week. Thank you

camera guy week one. But Rain is brain is in
the Shane Wilson, John as the white shoot John H.
John Krasinski is in the league. I here is my draft.
First off, I was moving one like in life, like
moving houses. That's very distracting. I had the number one pick,
so I was like, oh Taylor, great, I got Josh Allen,

obviously helpful, but I was definitely more distracted and at
the end realized I had drafted both Dolphins wide receivers,
which is not yes, but that's not what you don't want.
This same guy. Thirty five seconds after the draft, Rain
Wilson is on the phone with me proposing trades like
(24:33):
exploitive trades never and I'm like he already yes, exactly,
like no, exactly, you got two Dolphins wide receivers. What
are you gonna do? I mean, you can't have those?
And I was just like whatever, So I rode with
that out of SPIKEE week one. I won by point
four points, but they both did okay. I think they
both had fourteen or fifteen points. Ye, So yeah, take
(24:54):
them up one of those trades. I'm gonna find somebody
else out of spite for him. So there are those
people in your league that you just know they come
at you with a trade and you're like, I'm not
no matter what, I'm not taking. Yeah, I'm finding It's also,
oh yeah, right away, give me Tyree Hill, I'll give
you the Panthers defense. That's so perfect. Uh. And he

had and I can't remember which one, but he had
he had had one of them. He probably had Alan
who's now out this week. He had someone on yeah
on the Chargers. That was interesting and he was like, no,
that's not right. No, you're in a bad spot. Come
on right tonight. Speak of the Chargers. They play the Chiefs.
It's uh, you know week two starting and all these
things which week two games and we know you got
(25:35):
the Packers logo. Are you most interested in, like what's
the game that you're like, all right, I gotta stop
moving to watch this game. I mean, obviously I'm interested
in Sunday Night the Packers of the Bears. I think
it'll be fun. It always is fun. Tonight, I think
is the best game year. And you know now I'm
going to betting twice. I mean, you're getting four points
with the Chargers. I like that a lot. I like
(25:58):
the Chargers. He narrowhead. I like the Chargers. Yeah, I mean,
I don't know if they win. I think it could
be incredibly close in a field goal or overtime or something.
I expect that. I think it's gonna be a great game.
The one I think that I'm most interested in, though,
which is bizarre, because these are two teams I have
really no connection too. But I think both teams are
interesting and fascinating, and we don't know who they are.
(26:19):
The Dolphins and the Ravens both one and oh both,
you know, I mean, I know the Ravens go to
the playoffs, but not teams that we follow. We kind
of don't know who they are. Are they good? Are
they not? Both good performances Week one, I'm I don't know.
I'm excited to see that game and see if we
get a better idea of who those teams are. Oh yeah,
probably always breaks it down in the meantime. Here's a
(26:40):
sure bet right here. This is the book, and I
gotta admit I'm paging through it as we're having our
conversation here. This is fascinating, all right. So this is
a seriously good chili cook book. There's the picture right there,
there's Brian, and I hate to jump out as right
away it has Kevin's famous chili recipe in it does
have that. Can you tell us about the book, because
(27:03):
I am so and so interested. We're all chili people here,
so tell us about it. Brian, Well, it's not a
mistake that starting football season the book is coming out.
We didn't. We didn't launch it in May for a reason.
Um Now, I had so much fun doing the book
I started. I never made chili in my life. I
do cook quite a bit, never had made it. There
(27:24):
was a scene and at some point football season, I
have friends coming over and I said, oh, I'm gonna
make some chili. I'm gonna try to do this. I
look up a recipe, I make it, and then it's
the old like pick or it didn't happen. Thing. I
took a picture posted on Instagram. People like lost, well
everywhere you know, it doesn't. I don't know it just
like what's crazy? And I was like, oh, okay, that's fun.
(27:47):
Started doing it more. And then last year I went
to the World Champion Chip Chili cook Off Myrtle Beach.
I will be there next week. I will be there.
It's been going on over fifty years, and we partnered
with them and they gave us a bunch of world champions.
They're all in here, and I've had so so much
(28:09):
fun with it. We tell some story, we tell some
behind the scenes stuff from obviously shooting the show. Oscar
Nuniez wrote the four um and yeah, it's uh, we've
had a lot, a lot of fun. I'm going to Scranton,
Pennsylvan from here to the whole Undermifflin right now, and
then next week we'll be in Myrtle Beach. But yeah,
(28:29):
it's been so much fun. That's so cool. And listen,
everyone's gonna look, I'm not gonna spoil it, but the
key to Kevin's Chili, as we know, is the onions.
And sure enough, if you look in the recipe, there's
a very specific directions about the onions. It is what
you want to see and it's all here in this
book and it's perfect for a football season. But as usual, Brian,
you're not going anywhere. You're gonna chili. We're gonna sell
(28:50):
some books. Time for Beneath the Surface presented by Microsoft
Surface on the surface. These are the winless teams after
week one, and we're not putting a negative spin on
this whatsoever. Do you have a new bounce back chance here?
(29:11):
We're gonna beat the surface to take something positive from
these teams performances in week one. So we picked a
team two players that what we saw from them in
week one is something that we have to look forward
to in week two. Jason lead us one. Yes for me,
this kind of co sides of my survival Pig to
Baltimore Ravens one. They beat the Jets pretty handily, but
(29:33):
it was a player for the Jets, d J. Reid,
who had a really good game, didn't allow a single reception,
made an incredible acrobatic interception Allamar Jackson that didn't get
a ton of love because of the way the game went.
But the story in the game for him was more important.
(29:54):
Found out minutes before the game he lost his father
to an eighteen year battle with multiple scrosis and gets
text smashes before the game goes out there said he
wants to EDDI Kate, that's this season to his father.
You see him on his knee at a fifty yard
line after that big interception. To go out and play
that way and make an incredible interception like that, althose
(30:15):
a losing effort. He performed out of his mind. Was
one of the best corners on Sunday. So I wanted
to give dj Read a shout out. It's awesome. That's
a great story for those Jets too. We haven't talked
about I paced guy in a while, but it's time.
See this person right here. He is on pace to
throw sixty eight interceptions this season. It's not going to
happen that Cincinnati Bengals are on one. I feel like
(30:36):
they got their worst performance of the year. They're sloppiest
at least out in Week one against the Steelers, and
they still almost won the game with four interceptions from
Burrow and another few of the terminal turnovers. One of
the greatest things you can see on your schedule right
now when you go down with your finger is at
d A L. They're playing the Cowboys this weekend, and
I think it's going to be a bounce back for
the Bengals. I am into it. One of these teams
is gonna be own two, but I do not think
(30:56):
it'll be this team. It's not going to be that rough.
Here we go, all right, guys, just like quickly on
your surface. We have these frames around the enter, but
just zoom in a little bit, like make it look clean.
I know it can do that. The zoo. I'm just
you know what else I can do in Malcolm Rodriguez
last week with Jason Kelsey's like who bad? I'm over
and then Alman Ross Saint Brown, wait, let me make
it look pretty? There we go. Lions are hosting the Commanders.

The Lions are going around a tour of the NFC East,
and it's just fantastic hosting the Commanders this weekend. But
these two shined. Thirty eight thirty five loss to an
Eagles team that I think a lot of people have
picked to win that division is nothing to be sad about.
They put points on the board. They're pretty good offense
and out just figure a couple of things out against
the Commanders. I will say this once, I'll say a
(31:38):
thousand times. Jamie, you are amazing on this. Mike's amazing.
She knows how to do all the zoo. She's fantastic.
You can teach me. I'm going with Christian Kirk. It's
six catches, one hundred and seventeen yards and was awesome
against Washington last week, and they lose at the end
with Carson Wentz pulling a rabbit out of his hat.
They go up against the Colts this week. They're at
their home game. They're at home opener. I'm gonna zoom

in here, Christian Kirk in the Jaguars. Remember the team
upset the Colts last year at the final game of
the season in Jacksonville. Let's see what happens this year.
