his second Super Bowl appearance.

Well, Jamie, First of all, good morning, it is the
middle of the week here and Milton Williams told me
yesterday we are going to wreck the game the defensive line,
the defensive front. But today is so important for the
Patriots because their identity has been built on familiar brotherhood.
And whether you're talking about Milton Williams and his family,
where you're talking about Drake May and his family, they

get in today. And Michael and her lovely Big Goods,
along with Stefan Diggs significant other, Cardi Beach, I'm told
she gets in this weekend. But the one you may
not know a lot about is Milton Williams family. He
comes from a family where he's always had to get
it out the mud. He told me his father was
very difficult on him, and he told me just how
that shaped him to get to where he is today.

year with the Eagles. He's trying to do the reverse
Chris Long. He had eight quarterback pressures this pass game.
If you're looking for maybe an unlikely guy to be
Super Bowl MVP, maybe Milton Williams is your pick. And
he left me with this. He said, we've been the
underdog all playoffs. They talked about every single other defense

instead of us.

Us when we won the Super Bowl.

Hey Cam, A big story for the Seahawks defense. Nick
emn Worri, the star rookie do it all safety, hurt
his ankle in practice defending a pass play late in practice.
According to our NFL network Ian Rapaport, they're going to
have imaging done on that ankle to determine the severity

of it, Mike McDonald saying that they'll have to monitor
how it'll be later today. Of course, we'll meet with
the Seahawks, Mike McDonald and several other players later today
to see how Sam Darnold and his teammates are reacting
to that. Of course, Emon Worri a big part of
the reason why the Seahawks defense went from great to
elite this season, and really that's a journey that began

going into their game here in Northern California last year
against the forty nine ers there were four and five.
They were coming off a by an overtime loss against
the Rams when Mike McDonald said, he doesn't care what
it takes, this defense is going to be great. I
asked several players about that the last couple of days.
Devin Witherspoon said that McDonald put his foot down and

impressed upon them the consistency with which their work will
have to be applied to reach that level. Jaron Reid saying,
all the work that they do in the weight room,
in the meeting room, all the running they do, they
did not want.

They really started to come together, and since that moment
in time, the Seahawks are twenty two and five. One
went away from becoming Super Bowl champions. That dark side
defense that nickname already elite certainly to go along with
what's become an elite.

When Julian Love brought up the dark Side defense, we

four hour show, I went around it six hours six

about everybody. We had Fred Warner come on here and

he said Patriots by fifty. You had Gronk come over here,
talk about Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, talk about Seattle Seahawks. But
then I saw Drake May. None of that really swayed me.
But then I looked at Drake May on opening night.
I listened to all of his interviews when he sat
beyond the podium, his cool, calm, collected sounded great.

And then he said this.

You were asked a dozen times about the shoulder. How
are you going into Super Bowl Sunday?
Speaker 11 (06:49):
Yeah, feeling great, feeling great, feeling great. There we go.

That was the first time, Okay, that's a quarterback that's
been hit a lot in the playoffs. That's a quarterback
that still was poised, that still looked like everything was okay.
When Scott Hanson asked him, how's the shoulder, and he said,

That I thought, well, WHOA there something that I don't know?
Is there something about the star quarterback that he's not
really everybody. That was the first time that I saw

of it, I got like visions of like Gronk dancing
in my head, which.

Yes, And it got me.

It got me thinking, I'm like, you know what, little.

There's something to this because that experience is invaluable and
coming from someone I've been in a lot of big
moments in my life, and I know the more that
I've had in my career, the more comfortable I've got
and the more prepared. And it didn't matter of the
talent that was on the other side of the rank
in the match. I felt like because I had been
there before and I had experienced the moment, didn't matter.
(10:12):
You could be a favorite, you could be a betting favorite,
it did not matter to me. I felt like I
had the upper hand based on experience alone. I was
locked in, locked in, and so I started to convince myself,
maybe be a little bit. It won't be a Seahawks
by a million.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Okay, see I like to hear that, see Kyle, But
there's nothing I could first saw that was very compelling.
There's nothing I could say to follow that that would
be better than rewracking that clip of Drake may so
everybody get comfortable. Hold on, let's get everybody get a

never drafted Zach Wilson in twenty twenty one, they ship
him to Carolina, gets his PhD in quarterback play under
Kyle Shanahan, goes to Minnesota. You know I referenced Justin
Jefferson is my favorite guest. Right, Everybody in Minnesota loved
Sam Donald. Every teammate he's ever had loved Sam Donald.

John Schneider makes the trade, Gino Smith goes away. That
to me is unbelieving, and Gino was a hell of
a quarterback, smart, accurate winner. Yeah, I could see this scenario.
This is who Sam Donald is third overall pick. I'm
obsessed with Josh Allen. Josh is my guy. Voted for
Lamark twice for the MVP. Sam Donald is as talented,

just how unbelievable he was last year in Minnesota. I

like their seventh super Bowl win in the last twenty
five years, which is bonkers. Do you can we can

I want they deserve well, So we talk about takes

don't think they're the best team in the AFC's the
best filming. I still cancel thing in Buffalo. I still
think it's Buffalo. I still think it's Jacksonville. I still
think it's Houston. I picked against. I still think it's Indianapolis.

my my preseason pick was Buffalo, Okay, Josh Allen's going
to take them to the super Bowl. Then the best
team in the AFC was Indianapolis. Like you have a
couple of months I had like the beginning, any one
of the best teams have to, you know, remind people
that it's ultimately what transpired. Then you take a look

at what transpired with the Jacksonville Jaguars win in Denver.

I mean, it's a long time to rout the schedules

that take, potentially is if the Patriots beat Seattle, what
do we say on Monday? Then because I threw this out,
I'm like, are thinking to win the Super Bowl and
still say people say they didn't play anybody? Like if
Donald throws three picks and all of a sudden, the
Patriots win the Super Bowl, I don't know what the Is.

it would have to go, Kyle, because the Patriots defense
has been unbelievable.

elite this season, and really that's a journey that began

They were coming off a by an overtime loss against
the Rams when Mike McDonald said, he doesn't care what
it takes, this defense is going to be great. I
asked several players about that the last couple of days.

have to be applied to reach that level. Jaron Reid saying,
all the work that they do in the weight room,
in the meeting room, all the running they do, they
