Speaker 1 (00:06):
NFL Cover Zero with Matt Jones and Drew Franklin is
a production of the NFL and iHeart Podcast. It is
NFL Cover zero and we are here for our last
day before the big game coming up on Sunday. Matt Jones,
(00:28):
Drew Franklin and Billy are Sports and we are here
on Media Row where it is starting to wind down
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
There are people kind of in their last legs.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
You're seeing the final celebrities come through, and everybody's getting
ready for the big parties tonight, the Shack Diesel Funhouse party,
the Sports Illustrated party, and oh yeah, then the game
is on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
But still one last ride here on Radio Row. I'm
getting'm happy, but I'm also getting a little sad. I
am but it feels like it's coming to an end.
They're eventually gonna make us leave and all this is
gonna be over.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I know, like I feel like this has become my
home with all of these you know, I don't know
what I'm gonna do with another day where I don't
see Brock Heward and Joe Flacco. I've run into them
every day for the last three days. I feel like
they're a part of my life now, Drew, and they're gone,
and I'm gonna miss him. There are a few people
that they seem to just enjoy being here, and I
(01:22):
appreciate that about him.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I said that I saw Brock over coffee very early
this morning.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
He was here.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Also shout out to just the crews here behind the scenes.
It has been long days and it's starting to wind down.
Some sets have been taken down, but this one right
here has a little more time left.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
I have seen two near fights, which is of which
is very exciting. I read about a fight a doctor
and another person got in a fight about whether or
not someone.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Hurt their knee. I like that. I like you.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
You get any group of you get any group of
people together and put them this close, there's going to
be the occasional fisticuff.
Speaker 5 (01:54):
If you get this many people in a room like this,
there's gonna be something. But today we were robbing shoulders
with Hall of Famers today.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
So today was pretty amazing because we got here very
early and there was next of the NFL Network set.
They were walking the Hall of Famers around, so you
had Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald Luke, Kiklee and was that
Adam Vinitari and Uh. And then while they were standing
there together, Uh, you had You had Bo Jackson and
(02:22):
Barry Sanders walk over and all six of them hugged
each other right in front of us. And I have
to say I felt like I was in the Hall
of Fame. It was like I kind of I thought
maybe they let long snappers in.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I was really excited about it.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, this whole trip's been a pinch me moment. But
we were kind of like in their huddle, all of
them had gold jackets. It felt like, hey, am I
allowed to be here?
Speaker 4 (02:46):
Should I have you.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Think about it?
Speaker 1 (02:47):
You had Drew Brees, he's a quarterback, had two in
the backfield with Uh, with Bo and Barry. You had
Larry out wide right, Luke and Uh. Luke was kind
of scheming on defense. Adam was waiting for the extra point.
You and I what tight end? Well, I'm the.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Because they're not gonna need one with that offense.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, well I'll beat the tight end. Since I didn't
get invited the tight Ends party after two inns. Still, yeah,
I wanted to go and I couldn't get anyone to
do it. But still very very cool. And now you know,
another day of big interviews. Today, we got Christian McCaffrey,
the dreamy San Francisco forty nine ers do Everything Back
(03:29):
is going to be with us. Also from the Special Olympics,
we have what's what's our man's name?
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Is it?
Speaker 6 (03:36):
Harrison Phillips, Ryan and Ryan?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Harrison, Harrison Phillips and Ryan. That's exactly right, Harrison Phillips
defensive lineman and Ryan. I'm looking forward to meeting those guys,
and then we will we will finish the entire thing
with Christian Watson, which is gonna be tough for me.
He is a packer and I am a bear, and
so there's a chance might be fight number four.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Well, Matt, I actually tried to surprise you, but security
got me. I had a cheese grater in my backpack
and I was gonna bring it up here and let
you show off Watson, But turns out you can't bring
cheese graders in the radio.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
What do you think he would do if I just
started grating cheese on top of him?
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I mean, that game wasn't that long ago and it
ended his season. That's still fresh, so I would tread
lightly with my trash.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
I think it would be very funny if if I
was able to do that. So so that's all gonna happen.
But you know, we also need to talk about the
actual game.
Speaker 2 (04:26):
We haven't done a lot of talk about the game.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Ultimately, we were here to talk about the game, so
we at least should acknowledge that it's happening. Patriots and Seahawks.
I'm amazed at how much of Super Bowl Week is
not about talking about the actual game.
Speaker 2 (04:41):
But I'm excited about it.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Sam Darnold, Drake May, Matthew Stafford wins the MVP today.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Do you think that gives some extra motivation for mister May.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Maybe it tells them, Hey, if we're gonna win one,
let's win it now. Because the Rams are still gonna
be stacked next year. Let's take advantage of this opportunity.
That was some big news. I'm still leaning Seahawks, but
I think Rabel's gonna have those guys ready. As we've
talked many times, players co coach, they've played well outside
of Gillette Stadium all year, haven't lost a game on
the road, or.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
It's an amazing statistic, by the way, to have to
be undefeated on the road or in a neutral I
guess I'm not really a neutral site. But to be
anywhere outside of the Gillette Stadium is that's, you know,
only the most special team.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Even my eighty five Bears didn't do that.
Speaker 5 (05:26):
Billy Well, as much as it had been made about
the schedule the Patriots have played, they had to beat
three of the top five defenses in the playoffs, so
they've proven themselves. Drake May's got that running ability, so
we may see a little bit of that. And Mike
Rabel wents Coach of the Year.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
In his first Mike Verbal Verbal struggled with the pronunciation.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Someone is someone is screaming up there. Oh that's your.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Guy, Cam Scatibo, Cam Scatabo. Cam scataboo is over there.
He's he won the Madden Challenge, I believe for best
Madden Player.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
Uh here at Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
Of course, when we hear loud noises on the other
side of the building, Cam Scataboo's involved of all players,
not shocking that he's part of the party.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Other way feeling tonight at the Shack party, We're gonna
see some there's gonna be some scataboo booing somewhere.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
That's just what I'm guessing.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
I'm worried he and I might wear the same outfit.
We're both both big indoor shades guys at parties like this.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
You know, you know Billy.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
By the way, Drew and I are both breaking out
bomber jackets tonight.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
Oh yeah, I've heard bomb squad one, bomb squad coming in,
Bomb squad coming in, bombs away. That's gonna be our
Instagram caption. You can have that one, but thank you
very much.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
All right, So let's go back for a second with
Drake may I. It's very rare for a second your
quarterback to even get a chance to be in this situation.
If you look over the years when young guys have
gone mixed success, Burrow was the last kind of young
quarterback to end up in the situation where what do
you how do you see him playing tomorrow or Sunday? Well,
(06:55):
in the.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Playoffs, he used his wheels a little more than he
did the rest of the season. I believe there's a
stat out there that only Pat Mahomes had had more
rushing yards like that in the at least does average
something like that. But he was picking up big plays
in all three of their wins with his legs, more
so than he did all season. So I think maybe
that element in the game. And I think Patriot's gonna
need to run a lot in general, a little ball
control with how they play, but I think May using
(07:16):
his legs could be a big factor in this.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
He has been awful about turning the football over the
entire playoffs. I mean, you do that twice, They're losing, right,
two turnovers. The Seahawks offense too powerful, You give them
two turnovers, extra possessions, it's over.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
And I hate to downplay the Patriots and them being here,
but I mean they survived that crazy turnover game. To
play a backup quarterback in the AFC Championship like that
is pretty much unheard of. Yeah, so sure they deserve
it and all that, but the path wasn't exactly a
murderer's row. Some good defenses, but the Patriots stink.
Speaker 2 (07:49):
We've talked about that.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
I need them to lose, need them, I need them
to lose because if the Patriots win this game, what
are you ever gonna say to a Patriots fan, Because
they're gonna have Drake May for the next fifteen years.
Probably they will have won with the coach probably with
their worst version of this team. I mean, one would
assume this team will only get better over the next
(08:12):
six or eight years. If they win this year, they're
going to be in suffering. I mean, they're already insufferable.
They're the least sufferable people, and now we are going
to have to deal with it. So I need them
to lose. I have I went tried to buy Seahawks gear.
I'll I'm flying Seahawks fly because I need the Patriots
to take it out.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Well, a two thousands baby could ultimately have seen seven
Super Bowl championships if they're a Patriots fan.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
See that's not fair. There's other you need to be
able to suffer. If you are a fan, if you
were born well, two thousand, they wouldn't have really been
paying attention. Let's just say you were born in nineteen
ninety five.
Speaker 6 (08:50):
That's when I was born.
Speaker 1 (08:51):
Okay, so you're your age. If you're a Patriots fan,
you don't know any difficulties in life now, like what's
gonna happen when your marriage is on the rocks?
Speaker 6 (09:02):
How can I overcome adversity?
Speaker 1 (09:03):
If I've just told that's exactly right, because like, if
your marriage is on the rocks, you're gonna go, well,
I had a good first marriage, but then when we
lost Brady, we got Drake May. Maybe I'll have a
good find a good second one either. That's not a
good way to have.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Stability up they're falling upwards.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yeah, but what if you don't want your second wife
to be as good as your first.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
That's exactly what's gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (09:24):
Especially if you're a Detroit Lions fan. I mean, you've
never even made the Super Bowl. These New England fans
would be insufferable.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
They're going to be insufferable. They're already insufferable.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
Seahawks fans feel like more salt of the earth people
people have been down on their city. They always act
like their city is in turmoil. We've been there. I
don't think it's that bad. Give the Seahawks fans their victory.
Speaker 3 (09:43):
You know, there is an angle to this game we
haven't discussed. Billy has watched these two teams in a
Super Bowl. That's right, Seattle and New England.
Speaker 6 (09:49):
You went, Yes, I was there my dad.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
Second Patrios Seahawks super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
That is interesting. You've been to two Super Bowls. They're
both Seahawks Patriots, a little odd.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
I was kind of hoping for two different teams, but
this could be a great redemption story for Seattle.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
After throwing the ball in the one yard line, we
were in that end zone when it happened. Talk about
an all time sports moment.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
That's right, that is that is very cool. So tell
people who aren't regular listeners what the story was with
your dad.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Yeah, my dad want a fan lottery, so you you know,
put your names in, just like you're trying to win
tickets at the Masters.
Speaker 6 (10:22):
And he won it. But when we were.
Speaker 5 (10:24):
Walking in, somebody offered us ten grand apiece for the tickets.
So we looked at each other and we said, all right,
we'll just go watch the game at a part and
we tried to sell it, but our names were on.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
The ticket because it was a fan lottery, so we didn't.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
So he could have had twenty thousand dollars, could have
had twenty two.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
Do you have I'm not trying to get in your
personal life, but do you have college debt?
Speaker 6 (10:45):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Okay, he's getting married this year though. That's what I
want you to think about.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
What a nicer wedding you could have had if you
just had not gone to that game.
Speaker 6 (10:54):
Dad could have sold those tickets.
Speaker 2 (10:56):
If Dad had just sold the tickets.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Those non transferable tickets.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
You could have, like think about how much better the dress,
the honeymoon.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
You would be discuss if you knew how much like
flowers are for a wedding.
Speaker 7 (11:09):
How much are it?
Speaker 6 (11:09):
I mean, I know it's like eight grand for what
we're getting.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Flowers, flowers, just for the flowers, just for flowers.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Getting married? Is it's a what kind of flowers so
you get? Like I'm I buy Valentine. I bought Valentine's
Day flowers. You can get an amazing zip for one. Yeah,
it's not like not to the table.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
I'm talking about like I'm talking about like a hanging
flower from the ceiling and like a staircase draped in
flowers and things.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
You have a staircase draped in flowers. Yes, that feels
a little excessive.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
Yeah, I mean, listen, I'm not making these things, okay, princes,
Like I'm not.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
This is our royal wedding. With those twenty thousand dollars,
he could have just bought different colors of quarter zips
and not having a consolidate and.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
You could have had half as many quarter zips as
you have, now what So, so you're not going to
this game, right, not going to this one, but it
would still Seahawks Patriots fans should be rooting for you
to go to the to all of them all right,
So let's just go ahead and let's make our pick
here Seahawks and Patriots.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Billy, I'll let you go first.
Speaker 6 (12:11):
Well, I've got to see the redemption story.
Speaker 5 (12:13):
Sam Darnold, the first quarterback from the class of twenty
eighteen to make the big game. I think he gets
it done and the Seahawks cover what.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Is it like four and a half or four and
a half.
Speaker 5 (12:22):
So I'm gonna go Seattle in a game where both
teams score under thirty points.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
So give me twenty eight seventeen.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
By the way, Emmett Smith said today he was asked
what do you think about who do you think will
be the next elite quarterback to join Mahomes, Burrow, Allen,
and Lamar And he said, only Mahomes is elite.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
Those other three are anywhere close.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
Oh wow, not anywhere close.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
That's an Emmitt Oldhead comment, right, The oldhead gets here
and he's like, you know, nobody's as good as friend Tarken.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
It was a little bit of that.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Well for my Super Bowl pick, there's another old head
in this game. Mike Vrabel has been in I think
forty Super Bowls as a player, his first as a coach.
He will have them ready, But Seattle's just too much
to over two balanced. I think they're equipped and ready
to win it. They already won so many big games
in their division to get here and through the playoffs.
But I'll say it's close enough. New England covers. It's
(13:16):
twenty seven to twenty three. Well, you and I.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
If all these scores we get close, here's exactly what's
gonna happen. It's gonna be twenty eight to twenty three,
minute and a half to go. Patriots get the ball,
they drive down the field. They get all the way, great,
great efficient passing by May, runs in the right spots,
gets into the red zone, makes a great pass to Diggs,
(13:39):
get stopped on the one time for one play. They
hand it off, come up six inches short for Mike
Rabel and the Seahawks by six inches end up winning
the game twenty eight to twenty three.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
I gotta tell you someone who has watched his team
lose on the goal line, I hope that does not happened.
That is a loss that.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Will live with you for decades, but it would flip
the script of the game that you went to many
years ago. Six inch Bike will come up just a
little bit short and we will give the game to the.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Seahawks.
Speaker 3 (14:13):
I hope we're in for a thriller, and I really
think it will be. We want a game to come
down the end, especially the last game of the season.
So whatever team it is, I just hope it's one
that we're all excited for the finish.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yes, I totally agree.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
All right, So you know we a team that many
people thought would be here earlier in the year was
the forty nine ers. We're gonna take a little break
here when we come back. Christian McCaffrey CMC run CMC
in the.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
House here on NFL Couper zero.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Fine now joined by Christian McCaffrey San Francisco forty nine
Ers all Pro running back, first player to ever be
nominated for a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year
and Comeback Player of the Year. Great to be with you.
I know you wish you had it were playing in
this game, but still awesome to see you.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah, I appreciate it, man.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (15:11):
No, it's always a weird week when you're not playing,
but you know, NFL makes it fun. We just got
done with the Pro Bowl, which was a blast being
around a bunch of guys that you know, you compete against,
compete with.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
So it's been a good week.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
What was that like?
Speaker 1 (15:21):
That picked six by Jamar was kind of impressive, wasn't.
Speaker 4 (15:23):
Then It's a great play, great play. He could probably
play some safety.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Now, you you know, I had somebody say to me
earlier we were talking about you as a football player,
and I think I've never seen a guy who finds a
way to be open more than him and it finds
a way. You would think there's no way that he's
gonna be able to break off yards here, and he does.
Your success in the league has been exceptional in sometimes
difficult circumstances. What's it been like now playing on a
(15:49):
team with a lot of success and with an off
with a play caller that can get you the ball
in all the right spaces.
Speaker 8 (15:54):
Oh, it's amazing, man. I think you know when I
got traded to San France. It was such a you know,
rejuvenation of life for me in football. And you know,
being a part of this team around so many great players,
with great play callers and a great coach, it's, uh,
it makes football fun.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
You know.
Speaker 8 (16:09):
You come in every day and you're you're always learning,
which I think is exciting. You know, so your game
can always grow, you can always get better, and you
feel that way each week. You know, each week brings
new challenges and uh, different ways to compete, competer you know,
against different players, against different schemes, and uh, you know,
when you have a guy that can make sense of everything.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Shan him as smart as everybody acts.
Speaker 8 (16:28):
Like yeah, yeah, I mean I think if anybody is
allowed to sit in those meetings they would they would
see that. But it's, uh, it's it's it's the the
you know master class of football our team, and the
way he explains offensive football by talking about defense, the
way he understands every position on the field and uh
making sense of why he's calling certain plays. I think
that's a big deal. He's not just calling plays to
(16:50):
call him. There's reasons for everything, and you know, I like,
like anybody who was born to do something. You know,
he was born, you know, the same way I was born.
I believe to play football watching my dad play all
those years, being around the game my whole life. He
was around the game his whole life and got to
got to see from a Hall of same caliber coach
and his dad, and so the way that he's taken
all of that and continued to expand it and grow
(17:12):
it has been really.
Speaker 4 (17:13):
Cool to just be a you know, witness to it.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
You would like to be a game farther, but I
still think it's remarkable what the forty nine ers did.
Given the injuries you've suffered this year and last, how
are you all able to stay strong and together when
you've just got some some star players dropping left and
right these last couple of seasons. Been really unfortunate to
run for you guys.
Speaker 8 (17:33):
Yeah, you know, it was a weird year because you
hate losing guys like that. You know, when you lose
you know, a guy like Bosa, a guy like Fred.
You know, we lost George for a good chunk of
the time, we lost Brock. You know, had Mike kel
Williams our first round DN go down, and all these
guys who you know, got banged up. It sucks and
sometimes it can take the life out of you. I
think the thing I was most proud about with this
(17:54):
team is, you know, we showed up every single day
with the right mentality. It wasn't some you know, magic
potion that kept us in games. It was just consistent
work every single day, trying to get better every single day.
And uh, you know, genuine love for each other, genuine
love for football, and guys that did it the right way.
And so you know, that was a team that in
my nine years, I would have no problem going to
(18:15):
battle with any day of the week.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Get rid of that power plant next to these there
we go.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I don't know, something's going on with that with that
Christian team.
Speaker 8 (18:25):
You know what, man, You know, I've been a part
of the NFL for nine years now, and you know,
as somebody who's had injuries, you can try to make
sense of things if you want. Sometimes you just have
bad luck. It's bad luck, you know, and and and
sometimes that's what it is. Fred got rolled up on
really bad, you know. I mean, it is what it is.
It's it's injuries happen and it's part of the game.
And we you know, yeah, we were pretty unlucky with
(18:45):
it this year. But you know, as somebody that's there
every day, I'd love to say this is the reason
or that's the reason, but it's never one reason.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
A Christian.
Speaker 5 (18:52):
Is it weird to like score a touchdown and then
hear a fan so you didn't score enough points for
me in fantasy football? That seems like a weird dynamic
when you're such a good player.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Him a whole lot, though.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
I feel like he's he's he's always getting massive numbers.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
Yeah, no, I never never gets old, man.
Speaker 8 (19:06):
I mean the fantasy football has grown the game a lot,
but you know that's really all you hear about. Now,
you could have an unbelievable pass protection that seals the win,
and you're all happy celebrating in the locker room, and
you know you lost some guys seventeen bucks in his
in his fantasy game.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
And shut up, I don't care. No one cares about
your fantasy team, no one.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
I know. Yeah that is true, but now I don't
say that.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
What was it like.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
Practicing against the Robert Solid defense. I'm a Titans guy,
so I'm excited that he's moving to Nashville. It's a
big hit to your team. What was it like going
against one of his defenses.
Speaker 8 (19:38):
Man, I, you know, being a part, you know, being
around him for a year was incredible. I think it
makes sense why he's such a great coach but also
so loved by his players. The energy he brings every
single day. He's a guy that I'm obviously happy for
him and his family, but I hate that he's gone.
You know, just being around him was fun as an
offensive guy, you know, always bringing competition, making everything competitive,
(20:01):
but also extremely smart and detailed.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
When it comes to defensive football. And so you know,
you guys, are you know lucky.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
You I never do this, but I get people that
ask me all the time to do this. I always
say no, but I'm going to make an exception. Dren
and I have these two twins, Ali and Emily that.
Speaker 9 (20:19):
Since they were ten years old, have been coming to
our shows for fifteen years and they're grown ups and
they have been your fan on like an elite level,
to the point that I've watched them it's like Taylor
Swift and you those are the time time they've come
to our shows and they will they have Christian McCaffrey shirts.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
They love it.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
So you have to do me a favor and just
thank Ali and Emily for non stop fandom. It's you
and Taylor Swift that are there too.
Speaker 8 (20:49):
That's big company. Ali and Emily, thank you guys so much.
I'll send you guys some stuff because I appreciate you
guys being diehard fans and hopefully, hopefully you continue to
be my fan along with Taylor Swift.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
Are you a Taylor Swift fan?
Speaker 7 (21:02):
Like?
Speaker 1 (21:02):
If you, I'm sure that would make them very happy.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
I like to you. I love her music, it's fantastic.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
You ever been in one of the concerts.
Speaker 8 (21:08):
I still haven't been. No, I gotta go at least
with Travis at some point. Never met her, never met her?
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Wow? Can you think you could handle by the way
like think about because you know you're in the league.
You see what it's like like what Travis Kelsey, the
way his life has changed the last couple of years
and the attention. But do you think you could handle
that in that circumstance.
Speaker 8 (21:27):
Yeah, I think I could handle it. Yeah, I think
he just I don't. I don't think he looks at
it like that. I mean, I've again, it seems like
an awesome dude. He's the best man every time I've
met him. He's incredible.
Speaker 10 (21:35):
Man.
Speaker 8 (21:35):
He's he's uh the most down to earth guy, smile
and has the best energy, very genuine. I don't think
there is anything to handle. I think he's you know,
he's probably got the same friends he's always had and
super tight with his family, and uh, you know, I
think all that other stuff is for the fans.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
He's still still got Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:51):
That's right. Now you're here for ollipop.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
Now, I'm a big soda person, and I've had people say,
you know, Matt, you should try ollipop.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Help me know what it is because I've never had it.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
It's first off, yeah, it's a soda you can feel
good about drinking. That's exactly what it is. Super healthy,
very low in sugar, high in fiber, and legitimately tastes
like you're drinking soda.
Speaker 8 (22:12):
So as a guy that loves taking care of my body,
loves you know, you know, to be as healthy as possible,
it's kind of my job. I never feel guilty drinking
orm I do it all the time. This was the
easiest partnership for me because does that flavors Oh yeah, okay,
what's the one to get? I would start with crisp apple, Chris.
It's like drinking the freshest apple you've ever had in
your life. The root beer is really good. If you're
(22:34):
a classic, a huge root beer, you're a classic, just
regular cola flavor, you'll enjoy that one. The ginger ale
is good they have They have a Shirley temple, any
flavor that you could think of that's like a carbonated soda.
They've created it to make it healthy and it tastes
like that.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
The only thing bad about you, Christian is that they
didn't bring samples like now we got you drink themout.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Don't worry, we brought them. You guys didn't allow allow
me to have it. Right speaking branded water, I would
have put it front and center.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Given you get things up there.
Speaker 10 (23:05):
Y got an ollipop? Okay, yeah, changed alipop. You know
they wouldn't let you put it up here. I would
have said it was okay, Christian. Thank you, very appreciate it, guys.
Speaker 2 (23:14):
Good luck with the with next season. We appreciate you
stopping by.
Speaker 4 (23:17):
Thanks a lot, guys, appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
All right.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Now, happy to be joined from Special Olympics. It is
from the New York Jets. Harrison Phillips and Ryan Eppendendio.
Did I get that right? You did?
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Ratt? Well, you you are.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Special Olympics Health manage a messenger. Appreciate you guys taking
the time. Start with you, Harrison, I mean, how did
you end up involved with Special Olympics And what do
you think of being here in this media row. You
guys been doing interviews all day.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
We have been.
Speaker 10 (23:48):
I've been fortunate enough to come to radio a couple
of times. This is the most interviews I've had. I'm
more of a bodyguard to Ryan today and uh, just
just get asked a couple of lob questions. But I
first got involved with Special Olympics a long time ago,
back when I was even in middle school. In high school,
we got involved in volunteer at some of the organizations,
and then when I got to the NFL, I started
my own foundation called Harrison's Playmakers, and we attack very
(24:10):
similar causes that the Special Olympics does. I work with
individuals with developmental differences and special needs and all the
cities I've played it in my hometown and we've grown
to work with We've done over seventy events in the
last five years. Twelve thousand people we've worked with. I mean,
it's been really great. But in every city I've gone
to that my first phone call is to the Special
Olympics chapter that's how can we poach some of your
(24:30):
kids to come on over and be a part of
what we're doing too? And I would assume New York's
got a huge one. Oh my god, Well that's actually
a battle. It's New York or New Jersey. So because
we're New York, the team is with New York, but
New Jersey has a full Chapter two, it doesn't get
as much love. So I'm trying to do stuff with
New Jersey. Special get that is unbiased. You know what
I'm saying. We need you know that the big city
(24:51):
the little er city. So anyway, we've been doing this
for years now and just been blown away. My cup
is always overflowing anytime I'm involved with Special Olympics. And
Ryan's been a great friend of mine that we've been
been getting to know the last few weeks, great ambassador
for what we're doing and the program of fitness through
Sports and the playbook that we have to help After
you've been in the league for.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
How long this is nine now?
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Nine.
Speaker 1 (25:12):
But but Ryan, he got to understand it. You've been
a special Olympics athlete for twenty five plus years, am
I right?
Speaker 7 (25:19):
Yes, that's right, And.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
You play a lot of sports. He's not just like,
oh he does his football. This tackle cares like just
out there tackling people.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
What all of you played?
Speaker 7 (25:29):
I played like football, backsketball, softball, track and field. I
can relate what he's doing. But like, you got to
put the work ethic in when you're healthy, drink healthy,
sleep healthy. Just keep your mind right and keep your
work ethic, keep going.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
What's your best sport?
Speaker 7 (25:52):
My best sport? I can't pick one.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
I love them all, you love them all.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
But that medal is for which one?
Speaker 7 (26:00):
This medal I got it from track and field for
with my relay team.
Speaker 11 (26:05):
Oh, team guy, I like the team gown. I like
it to four four four, I've oh wow, good night.
Well then I listen. I'm not going to try to
get you who has the bigger muscles between the two
of you.
Speaker 10 (26:19):
The last time we've sat on this, they measured our
biceps over here earlier and they were measuring our arms.
So I won that one.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
But that next year, yeah, I think that's Uh so
tell me a little bit. Uh Ayrrison, you play playing
for the Jets, been a lot of transition for you
since you since you've been there. Uh do you see
how do you see the momentum going forward into the
next couple of years.
Speaker 10 (26:42):
Well, you know, I've seen, you know, with a lot
of a lot of turnover, changing the coaching staff this year.
I think that when we had the Jets had a
culture that was struggled because of the lack of success
they've had. And you you have to think the human nature.
I've been in an organization for five six years.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
We've never won.
Speaker 10 (26:57):
Every single year, there's a coach leaving, there's players leaving,
there's guys getting cut, there's new coaches coming bringing their
own guys. I have to protect myself and so that
you get this time of culture of I needed to
take care of mine. And then young players come in
and they say, oh, that's how we do things here,
and so that can't just be like switched overnight.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
AG's insane. He's amazing. The consistency.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
He seems very intense. Is he is he an intense guy?
Speaker 10 (27:21):
Yes, but like there's still the human he is the coach,
and then there's traveling or you know, catching up in
an offseason. In he's human, he's a great dude as
a big heart, family man, but yeah, game, I mean
in the building, he's intense, and uh, I think that
it's a person like him, it's him that's going to
have to change the culture.
Speaker 4 (27:39):
I'm not. I also don't say.
Speaker 10 (27:40):
Like, oh, we're years and years away from it, but
it takes a little time. You know, this season was
a season of growth. How much can we learn? How
much of that roster proved enough to be a part
of the culture moving forward, getting some new coaches. What's
the scheme look like? Is a players are plays? How
that whole thing evolves. I'm happy to be a part of.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
We've got a lot of cap space, we got a
lot of draft picks.
Speaker 10 (27:59):
But again, I'm a I've been around enough to see
winning football is somehow correlated to togetherness in connectivity, and
if you have a team that isn't connected and is
you know, maybe not worried about their worried about themselves
more than their teammates, it's not a huge recipe for success.
AG has great messaging and is trying to instill a
championship culture.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
You're a city guy now, but you started in Buffalo,
then Minnesota, and obviously you're talking about how big you
are getting involved in the community. What are two underrated
aspects of Buffalo and Minnesota? Kind of smaller markets than
some fans mind.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
To Buffalo for the.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
First time year.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
It's incredible.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
They wouldn't put me through a table though I was trying,
couldn't find one anywhere.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Yeah, they're cracking down on the table stuff.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
I know that.
Speaker 10 (28:39):
Look, my time in Western New York was such a
great chapter of my life. And if you go click
on an Instagram post that I posted any day last week,
scroll through the comments, you will see two dozen comb
to Buffalo. We miss you in Buffalo. Why do you
not in Buffalo? They're just the best fans. I think
what's unique about Buffalo is because it's such a smaller market.
The bills is everything they have, it's their lifeblood. And
so when our backup practice squad long snapper goes to
(29:02):
the grocery store, he's taking photos with everybody, he's signing
an autograph. They know ins and outs of us, they know.
It's just really cool And what I left Buffalo and
went to Minneapoli, which is a little bigger city. I
was like, man, we used to get so many perks
in Buffalo. You know, you go to your spot, they
get your free appetizer, free.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Bottle of extra. Yeah.
Speaker 10 (29:24):
So I'm like, Wow, I'm gonna go to Minneapolis and like,
holy cow, we're gonna have tons of free stuff. Wasn't
quite like now. Jersey's not quite like that. The fans
are still super cool. But when it's larger markets, it's
you got all these sports teams that they they all
have bumped into a professional athlete in the grocery store
at the movie theater.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
So it's just not of a rarity.
Speaker 3 (29:42):
You're now rhymes to your alma mater. What's the most
Stanford thing you've done this week since you've been in.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Tow at Stanford.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
I went back to Stanford, I mean specifically.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Yeah, we flew in two days early.
Speaker 10 (29:52):
My wife and my nine month old son, they're somewhere
around here eating and napping or something.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Brought them to Stanford. Drum them to my dorms, talked
to the team.
Speaker 10 (30:00):
UH, had some good conversations with to be to the
new head coach, and Andrew lux So and then on
the plane right here to past time, I saw the
rubic scue. That's a little Stanford, just a little Stanford.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
Well, while I was here, I did wordle So take
that home, mic drop.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
All right, So now Ryan, I need.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Your help with Harrison because he you know, they had
a tough season and with the Jets this year. He
needs to get motivated for next year. If you were
telling he Harrison and the Jets, what would your message
be then to get them on track for next year?
Speaker 7 (30:35):
M I can't say anything because everybody is just different human.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
That's a great answer, but I mean, think of it.
Speaker 10 (30:42):
Just the questions that guys asked us earlier today, like
what makes you good at what you do? You talked
about the sleep he talked about Would you maybe just
motivate me to do some of the things that you
you do?
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Yeah, you're a good sleeper.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
How many hours?
Speaker 7 (30:54):
I get? About eight hours hours of sleep?
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Now that's what you could teach me.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
I can't get more than six. What should I do
to get better sleep?
Speaker 1 (31:03):
Go to better earlier, boom, go to bed earlier. Exactly
if I.
Speaker 10 (31:06):
Went to bed two hours earlier, that's that's exactly right,
two hours earlier, we would can get it. We Also
he let us know about the alcohol use. How much
alcohol is okay zero zero?
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Guess what I don't drink now, Drew no comment.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
To work on him, but I remember.
Speaker 10 (31:27):
How many beers the last guy told us he had
last night. He said he had twelve beers last night.
He's Ryan, So that's not cutting it.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
That's not good. You're not gonna get eight hours of sleep.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
But a Special Olympics dot org at Special Olympics on
social when your next event.
Speaker 7 (31:44):
I'm doing Special Olympic backball right now. We got practices
on Sundays for like two hours.
Speaker 1 (31:52):
Straight, okay, and I love doing it. I want you
to uh to give him a crossover, knock somebody like,
get a crossover, get somebody's ankles and take it to
the basket for us.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Will you do that?
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah? It is try.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
I love it, but I'm better on my left side.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Yeah, Well I.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
Bounced the ball with my left and shoot with my right.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
So you're you're a moderate in today's difficult times. I
appreciate that, Harrison. Thank you very much.
Speaker 4 (32:23):
Ryan.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
We appreciate your time.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Welcome, Thank you, thank you, so Ryan agreed to do
this podcast. I had some things that I had to sacrifice,
(32:46):
one of which is I can't just be about my team.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I can't just bear down.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
I also have to be fair to the league as
a whole, and this is one of those moments. Christian
Watson from the Green Bay Packers is joining us. I'm
not gonna boo. I might have booed you during regular games,
but here you seem like nice fella. Appreciate you, joy,
I appreciate you coming. I might bow you. Honestly, there
we go. I mean, we did kind of own you
(33:13):
this year, so it might have to be, you know,
it might be what we have to talk about. What
were those games like? I mean, those were amazing games
this year. I know you came out on the losing
end of the last one, but had to be exciting.
Speaker 12 (33:24):
Oh yeah, there were exciting games, for sure. I mean, honestly, well,
I mean they would have been more exciting if you
would if it would have came out on top. But
you know, I mean I feel like it's always you know,
cranked up a notchal when it's the Bears. Do you
feel that when you play just another level and one
hundred percent. I think I think you know, you feel
it from both sides for sure. They're just like a
little bit more a little a little bit more energy,
(33:46):
a little bit you know, different of a vibe when
when they're playing. I mean, scuse you know, both teams
want to, Both teams want to. You know, they got
to gain both teams. You had owned us for years,
so you got it. Had to give us one year back. Yeah,
I get, I will give you that one, but it's
not gonna happen again, all.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Right, Fair enough, Christian.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
I like talking to packers because there's really nothing better
in football than a snow game in Lambeau. We got
to go to one a couple of years ago, even
though he is a Bears fan. It's like one of
the best things you can do in football. But I
have to ask you, as a player, are you one
of those tough guys that goes out there like shirt
off or no sleeves or you do you bundle up?
How do you treat the cold weather games as a
packer Because some guys are out there, I feel like
they're toughing it out, but I know they're they're freezing
(34:28):
on the inside.
Speaker 12 (34:29):
Uh yeah, No, I mean I have in the past
be you know, been one of the guys that you know,
goes out with their shirt off and everything.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
But and you were freezing, weren't you. Yeah, I mean
I mean you went to schooling nor Yeah.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
I mean you're kind of used to it, right at
the end of the day.
Speaker 12 (34:43):
I mean you can be, you know, around it as
much as you want, but you know, cold is still cold.
So I mean, honestly, when you when you go out
there and you watch those cold games, everybody out there
is cold. It's just you know, you just got to
get past that. You know, you just got to get
past that little little mental blocking.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
It's a home field advantage. I mean, like there's been
a lot of teams. I know, uh, Kansas City's gonna
gonna put in a dome. My Bears are, unfortunately to me,
considering doing it. I would think that's on the home
field advantage if you're used to it, isn't it.
Speaker 12 (35:11):
Uh yeah, No, I mean I mean the more you're
around it, you know, the obviously the more comfortable you get,
you know, being uncomfortable in those elements. So it's definitely
an advantage to the guys who are who are around
it more un Christian.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
You go from the FCS level to playing with Aaron
Rodgers in your first year in the NFL. Now, our
bears guys a little bit of a hater, we'll talk,
But tell me about playing.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
With one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Uh, yeah, no, I mean it was.
Speaker 12 (35:36):
It was definitely an experience that I'm super grateful for.
Uh you know, I think I got to learn a lot,
you know, in that you know, in that one year
that I got to play with him. Uh, you know,
I think that he definitely, you know, kind of just
you know, jump started, you know, my career in terms
of you know, the confidence you know that I played
with out there. I think that he was a big
part in and and building that confidence you know in
(35:58):
myself and uh you know in the you know, on
that team, Uh see you. And I'm super grateful, grateful
for him, you know, obviously, you know, he's one of
a con and he's one of the best to ever
do it. So yeah, no, I mean, it's just it's
just a blessing to be able to say that that,
you know, I was playing with him for sure.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
So I I also will acknowledge Aaron Rodgers hater. Uh,
but it's it's not even so much the Packers, it's
just the whole thing. Did you ever like w with
Aaron Rodgers?
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Did?
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Did I always hear though, even though I find him annoying,
that he's a good teammate to be around. Did you
find that one hundred percent?
Speaker 4 (36:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (36:35):
He was a he was a great teammate to be around. Uh.
Speaker 12 (36:37):
You know, I think that he he definitely pushed everybody
to uh, you know, to you know, chase that level
that he that he was playing at, playing at. You know,
I think that uh you know where the misconcession comes
from is just you know, when you're playing at that
high of a level for that you know, long of
a time, I mean, you have a different you know
approach when it comes to a game, you have a
different expectation of different standard and a different you know
(36:59):
level of passion.
Speaker 8 (37:00):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (37:01):
So you know, when he's out there and he's you know,
being mad at this or Matt that, I mean, he's
really just know, but he's just passionate about what he's
doing and he and he know he's trying to bring
everybody else along with him, and uh, you know, he
has a expectation of the guys who you know, he
is going out there with to uh to be the
best you know that they can possibly be. So, you know,
I don't think that, you know, anybody. I can always
(37:22):
speak for myself, but I don't think that anybody who
went out was out there and playing with them ever,
you know, took that for granted. I get to know
Randall Cobb, our guy out there. You know, he's a
Kentucky guy. We're we're big Randall Cobb.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (37:33):
Did you ever get like distracted by how pretty his
eyes are because they are like they're they're ridiculous. Yeah. No,
that wasn't something that I looked at you too much.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
You can't look directly at it.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
No, that wasn't something that wasn't nothing I was worried about.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
But no, Rental Renald Rennold.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Is my guy.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Uh.
Speaker 12 (37:49):
You know, I got to play one year with him
in Green Bay. I learned a lot from him as well.
He was great being around him.
Speaker 10 (37:56):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
Yeah, that's my guy. Yeah, he's he's he's an awesome,
awesome dude.
Speaker 7 (37:59):
All right.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
So when people look at the NFL, you know, it
looks like such a glamorous life like you're you're you're
getting a sport that you played your entire life, you know,
for free, now you're getting paid for it. But like,
what is the worst part of being in the NFL player, Like,
what's the part where you go people don't see that
this comes with it? What is that?
Speaker 12 (38:22):
I mean I don't even necessarily think that's something that
people don't know comes with it, because I mean, obviously
you know the injuries and you know the toll and hurt, right, Yeah,
the toll and the strain on your body that that
you you know, go through playing at this level. I mean,
everybody knows this is there, but I don't think that
they realize the impact that it actually has on your players,
you know, mentally, I am physically obviously, I mean it's
(38:45):
a it's a lot.
Speaker 2 (38:45):
I mean, what's the worst injury you've taken in terms
of pain?
Speaker 12 (38:48):
Uh, In terms of pain, probably the a cl Yeah,
I mean, shoot, it was probably I mean obviously the
pain right away, but shoot, the first two months was
probably two months in a row of straight pain. So
so yeah, I was definitely someth of being I mean,
I just say the physical and mental toll that you know,
(39:09):
it takes on, you know, on guys, is overlooked.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
I think, you know, not necessarily unknown, but overlooked for sure.
I'm fascinated by the whole North Dakota State, North Dakota,
South Dakota State, South Dakota. I get all four of
those schools confused. I feel like, even though and they
all have a really good culture in terms of being
good at football. North Dakota State probably the best one historically,
(39:36):
but all all have been good even in recent years.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Why is that?
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Why is so there's so much good football in the
two states that I find the most forgettable usually.
Speaker 12 (39:48):
I mean you're asking a North Dakota State, guys, So
you know, I wouldn't necessarily say that North Dakota, South
Dakota or South Dakota State is you know, playing good
football or you know the last few years, or I
wouldn't say that they're on the level that you know,
North Dakota State is on. But you know, I mean,
I think it just comes from, you know, the type
of players that have gon through those programs, and you know,
just the standard that's been set over the years. I mean,
(40:10):
it's really a kind of a get it out the mud,
you know, mindset, you know where you know, you got
guys who you know were probably overlooked at some point
in their you know, careers playing football or you know
just you know, missed the cut. So you know, you
got a lot of hungry guys who are just trying
to make a name for themselves.
Speaker 1 (40:28):
So you kind of get that.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Were you there that year they had game Day there
and they had all that thing?
Speaker 4 (40:32):
Were you were you part of that?
Speaker 12 (40:34):
I was in I was in there when there was
game day as Ath Dakota States, South Dakota State.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Again, I screw up with the I screw up with
with with the thing. But it is fascinating in it
the culture of those programs. How does that translate to
the NFL. Oh, you know, I mean I think you
can bring that mindset, you know right over.
Speaker 12 (40:52):
I mean I think that you know, no guys just
you know obviously you know, just North Dakota State and
South Dakota State obviously you know me h, Tucker Craft. Uh,
you got guys like Dallas Goddard. I mean, who were
you know just play you know, are you know, really
successful in the in the league. So I think that
we we just kind of carry that mindset you know,
straight into the league.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
I don't think there.
Speaker 12 (41:11):
I don't think I know anybody in the league who's
as gritty as you know, Tucker Craft is. So h
you know, I mean yeah, I think that I think
that it just kind of translates straight to the league.
I mean, you're back on a kind of like an
even playing field in terms of, you know, everybody in
the league is you know, really good at you know football.
That's obviously you know why why we're there, so uh,
you know, kind of try to find a way to
separate yourself.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
All right. Last thing, this is Billy right here.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Billy is our producer nice.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
We brought him out here.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Not a barrass fan by the way himself on that.
Speaker 1 (41:41):
Considered not bringing him, so he went Embarrasses, but we
brought him. He didn't have a lot of packing space,
so he went quarter zip all right. He brought three
quarter zips that were reversible to save packing space. Now
you're looking at them right here, Christian, Now you feel
like a fashionable guy. I want you to grade. We
(42:02):
have been kind of anti the whole flippable quarter zip.
Are you pro or con reversible quarters quarter zip?
Speaker 2 (42:12):
We can flip it.
Speaker 6 (42:12):
The blue anytime today, anytime.
Speaker 12 (42:16):
Well, yeah, but if I'm being honest, I mean I'll
just started by saying it. I definitely would I definitely
wouldn't put it on personally, but I don't. I don't
have any I don't have anything against it. I think
if you just ask me, is a quarter is a
quarter zip acceptable? But yeah, quarter zip's good, Like it's
it's fashionable, it's it's solid, it's a good choice.
Speaker 1 (42:36):
Is reversible is a little bit crazy.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 12 (42:41):
I feel like I feel like that's kind of I
don't want to say that you're a lazy guy, but
like lazy, I feel like that's kind of just lazy.
Like you could have just put a little bit more
effort into the quarter, like you couldn't just get like
six different.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
It's good, it's like good quality, so like it it's reversed.
Speaker 12 (42:58):
Yeah, anything that's like a two win one or like
a five in one, like those are always not like.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
Condition Like you got the like five and one body
wash on, Like if you would have as well, if
you would have advice, you're killing me.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
That's exactly right.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
They've been giving me all the way. You know, it's shampoo.
Head and shoulders.
Speaker 12 (43:18):
Yeah, yoh yeah, Now you gotta go with this the uh,
you know, one of one I has to go to bad.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
I don't mind the quarters it all right. I'm not
gonna boo with the Green Bay Packers next year solely
because Christian Watson backed us up on the quarters.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
That Hey, great stuff. Thank you very much for the time. Yeah,
I appreciate you.
Speaker 5 (43:36):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Job all right. That's a rap from.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Our first ever super Bowl, Super Bowl sixty here in
San Francisco. It was an absolutely awesome experience on media row.
I it met one of the most fun things I've
done in my media career, how about you.
Speaker 3 (43:56):
I'm not gonna say it's one of the most fun
things I've done in my meati care It's literally one
of the most things, the fun things I've done my life.
I mean, I'm this has been so much fun. Just
being here alone was fun, and it's so but we've
had so many of these random interactions we've told stories
of we couldn't have scripted some of the stuff that
has happened to us. It has truly been a perfect time.
And they think I'm leaving, but I'm just gonna go
hide in.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
The corner here.
Speaker 1 (44:17):
Billy, you told us before we went that you had
a childhood dream to get to come to media row.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Did it meet your expectators?
Speaker 6 (44:26):
It blew them out of the water.
Speaker 5 (44:27):
Matt, just how kind everybody was, the awesome sets that
the NFL and iHeartRadio have supplied us with. It is
a surreal experience and I cannot wait to come back.
If they invite us back, Yeah, well hopefully they do.
