That, Okay. The Entertainer Report, headlines and blogs this hour
are audio journals. What are you working out at Fort k.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
We have to talk the Golden Globes and a moment
was snoop. We may have found out that he does
have a limit because something really funny happened and it
had to be bleeped.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Nicky Glacier was hilarious again last night. Again.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, she's she's really good. I mean, I can't imagine
how hard that job would be, and she's very funny
doing it alone.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
It's been a very up and down weekend. I mean,
she was funny. The Bears were not funny. Let me
think what else you know? I have a hot take.
I'm angry at the Chicago Bears. I'm angry and they won,
and I'm still angry at them. Maybe I'll get to
that in a minute. It's too much up and down.
But Kiki said that she discovered football this weekend. At
the Ripe page of thirty something you discovered, it explained this,
(02:15):
you discovered football this weekend?
Speaker 2 (02:17):
How I get it?
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I finally understand why this is America's what past time is?
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Ever they call it?
Speaker 5 (02:23):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (02:24):
No, I think that's baseball?
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Well, yeah, you know what I meant.
Speaker 4 (02:30):
I am in though, I am finally understanding why for
years people have been running down the field, kicking and
chasing it. I never understood this, never was a fan,
never understood, never enjoyed it, never sat down and watched
a full game. Okay until this weekend, And now I
get it.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Now I'm in. Now I want to make chili in hotel.
Speaker 6 (02:52):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
It is a new light in my.
Speaker 4 (02:56):
Life that I never ever thought that I would ever
be in. A man like who am I?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
I don't know? I want to order a jersey, like.
Speaker 7 (03:06):
Oh my gosh, I am dating you because like literally
this is the first weekend that he's like, wait, are
we watching the game?
Speaker 5 (03:11):
Like?
Speaker 6 (03:11):
Where are we watching the game? What are we doing?
Like he stayed up to bed, He stayed up and
watched it.
Speaker 7 (03:16):
I fell asleep, Like that is how locked in?
Speaker 1 (03:19):
He was like telling you, Yeah, I'm dating you just as.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
A man here. You are dating me, that for sure.
Speaker 6 (03:25):
So you guys get in when the Bears are good.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
I think that's what it is. There something about this story,
you know.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Yeah, but but you live You've lived in in Chicago.
You've lived in Chicago when the Bears were good. Oh so.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Thirteen years ago there were pretty good. I mean, it
took a while to get good again. But you know,
but but this isn't the first time in your life
that you've lived in a city where the sports teams
were good.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
Okay, well you know what. Now I'm here, you know,
and i want to make up for lost time. So
I'm throwing a Super Bowl partyday.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Girl's gonna be a whole thing.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's it's the Bunny
Ball and we just gonna have a good time.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I am in, y'all. I am locked in. And I
never understood this until this weekend. I don't know what
it was.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
I don't know what got me in it, but it
was like they were down and then I was I
was I was praying and the next thing, you know,
they were winning, and I was just like, oh my god,
I'm here for the coach what's his name being?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, I discovered like water with fruit in it to
flavor it, Like I don't understand what's happening right now.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yes, yes, water tastes so good if you ever tried
it with like a nice cucumber, maybe, like you know,
throw a couple of little berries in there and something
like that, It's delicious.
Speaker 6 (04:44):
Gets her to yoga like, yes, I am.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
Here, I am here and I'm locked in. That's what
I say.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
You know, I'm sure they appreciate when they're down and
you weren't their fans, But now that they're good, yeah,
sure would you?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Would you have liked it? Would you be still saying
this this morning if the Bears had lost, because in
this case we're talking about the Bears game, I mean
the Panthers had a close game. Would you be did
you watch that game? I mean there were a lot
of games the Bills had a close game. Would you
feel the same way about any team or is it
just at the team where you live seems to be
doing well now all of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I think it's the Bears. I really do.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
I feel like the energy in the city hasn't been
like this ever. I've never felt like the whole city
is watching one thing together and we're all excited together.
It just felt I could feel it in the air.
I don't know, yes, yeah, And so then if.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Your team lose this this weekend, then is it over?
Is this interest over, this new found love that you
have for the America's pastime, football Americano, football Americano?
Speaker 6 (05:43):
Wait for that heartbreak?
Speaker 2 (05:44):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (05:45):
I don't know, but you know what, I'm very hopeful.
And I feel like, because Mike the Mechanic and I
are now on board, that we are really good luck
charms to this team, and so I think there's no
limit to what the Bears will do now that I'm
locked in.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
So honestly, I think we're going to the super Bowl.
And I'm just being real. Mechanic Mic and Pope Leo,
I think he was working all the time over time.
Speaker 5 (06:07):
You tell me, WoT we get a pope from Chicago
and all of a sudden the Bears are pretty good.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Now do you understand how it works or where they're
running or why or so for.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
The life of me, I kept telling my brother. I said,
why is Caleb Williams sitting now.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Right?
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I said, he needs to get in the game.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, you're right, he should get in the game. We
needed it to be his turn. A little more.
Speaker 6 (06:43):
About his turn, I'm like, what do you mean it's turn?
Speaker 4 (06:45):
My brother was like, because there's an offense and a defense,
and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. And so he
explained it to me and I was like, okay, fair enough.
But you know, when Caleb got in there, he did
what needed to be done. And the other guy, I
don't know, it was another guy that was and kicking
and I was just like, you know, I'm so proud.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Of him running and kicking. Well, there's a running back, you.
Speaker 6 (07:06):
Know, Cairo Santos. If you don't know any other player,
you know, Cairo, what happening.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
I'm so happy for you though, I'm so happy that
you found a new passion.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
It's crazy and I never thought this would be me.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Ever.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
I always drag girls because I feel like a lot
of my friends they pretend like they like football because
they want to be around the guys. You know, I
dated a football player, like I still didn't understand what was.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
Going on dated a football player. Did you attend his game?
I did?
Speaker 2 (07:33):
I did, yes, all through high school and college.
Speaker 1 (07:35):
I never as impassioned as you are now, not at all.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I only cheer when his family was cheer because I
didn't know what was going on. I really was confused.
But now I'm locked in. I'm here.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Yeah, I'm happy for you. I'm happy for you. You
don't look. I was going to save the rant for later,
but like I pop off, king the games, you're always excited,
I would say mostly exciting this time of year because
they're you know, elimination games. It's the playoffs, so they
lose once they're out. So I feel like everyone plays
really hard. You win a few games, you wind up
(08:08):
in the super Bowl, you could win up a champion.
That's good. Specifically, though, if you watch the Chicago Bears
game against the Green Bay Packers, you don't have to
be a Bears fan. Have watched that game because it's
a big rivalry game, and if you know anything about it,
then you know that the Bears. You know, if you're
a Bears fan, you cannot lose to the Packers, especially
in Chicago. You just can't do it, like it's terrible.
(08:28):
And if we had, I think it would have been
I would have taken anything good about this season and
just everyone would have been mad. And you could tell
that by watching the first Oh, I don't know, eighty
percent of the game, eighty five, maybe ninety percent of
the game because we were losing badly. The Bears were
in this game, and you could see on everyone's faces.
You could see Soldier Field turning like people were angry,
(08:50):
like wait a minute, we got this far and now
we're gonna get blown out by these guys. And then like,
in the last five minutes of the game, what did
we score in the fourth quarter? We scored like twenty
three points or something and won the game, which is amazing,
and I'm so happy about that because you know, I'm
an adopted Bears fan. I moved to Chicago a long
time ago, and I was kind of homeless. I grew
up in Arizona football homeless. I should say I had
(09:12):
a home, but you know, football homeless. Cardinals were just it.
You couldn't attach yourself to that. There wasn't even any
like It's not like the Lions that were Caitlyn. You've
been a long suffering Lions fan. But there's like a
long history of generations of Lions fans. I don't know
if there's a long history of generations of Arizona Cardinals fans.
(09:33):
I don't think there are. They weren't even the Arizona Cardinals,
but the Saint Louis Cardinals at one point. Football anyway,
whatever the case may be, I just I get it.
I moved here, and I feel like people were born
into this and they love it. And I lived here
when the Bears were good, and I lived in Chicago
when the Bears were bad, and this town is so
much better when sports teams are hitting, and wherever you
(09:56):
live and whatever your team is, you got to agree
with me. When sports teams are hit, everybody is happy.
But my problem is we should have lost that damn game.
And then they're they're walking around with all this swag
at the end, like, ah, yeah, we did it, you know, Blank,
the Packers, the whole thing. You guys, you put everybody
through the worst night, and the range of emotions were unnecessary.
(10:21):
If you can score twenty three points in one quarter,
why are we in this situation every week? Stop it,
stop it, stop it like the second half of the season,
we were gonna lose every game and somehow we wind
up winning, which is amazing, but stop it. And then
Caleb Williams standing there at the end like he's not
even tired, like, oh yeah, you know, we probably should
(10:41):
have played better. But did it again? Stop it? Stop it,
You're so good. Just blow everybody out. Stop it. I'm mad.
I'm watching this game. I could have turned it off.
I think a lot of people did turn it off
and thought that the Chicago Bears had lost, and they won,
but they had to do all the last second. Stop it.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I had a friend who was actually at the game
and he left the stadium and he was on social
media like this sucks.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
I'm so mad at us.
Speaker 4 (11:11):
And he left the game early and got in the
car and then was like, okay, I'm sorry, guys.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
I see.
Speaker 6 (11:16):
He was the bad lunch army.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
That was a funny like.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
Story to watch because it was just like, look how
mad you are, Look how quick you turn on your team.
See me, I would never I'm riding with the Bears
win and lose. But he left the stadium.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
So yeah, it's just frustrating, and like, you know, some dude,
I saw some video early this morning. I don't remember
who it was because I was hav asleep, but some
kuy in the packers like, oh, the Bears didn't do anything.
We just we collapsed. Well that's true, you did. You'd
give up twenty three points in a quarter and you
lost a game that you had handily won. I don't
know that I look at it that way. I mean, yes,
they collapsed, but then the Bears were exceptional. I just
(11:51):
don't get it, like, just be exceptional more, you know,
I mean, like, why are we waiting till the end.
But it's not even like we did it this one time?
Like what was it? Last five six games has been
like this, They're gonna lose again and then all miraculously
and then they all and then calebly they even tired,
like Bro used to be exhausted. It's like it's too easy.
(12:12):
I don't understand. Stop putting us through this. I'm like,
I love you, and I'm so happy that this team
is winning and it's so much fun. And I know
there are people that you know, like I said, lifelong
Bears fans and multi generation. It's just like and people
are saying, well, they're called the Cardiac Bears. Seven comeback games,
but you're you're that good? So like, why why are
(12:36):
we so bad? And then all of a sudden so good?
I don't get it, Like which one is it? I
think it's I think we're good actually, and I think
that the Bear is gonna be good for a long time.
But like, whatever your team is, if you have every
single week, if you have to live through this, yes
it's exciting. But then like, we're eventually going to lose
a big game this way because it's not gonna work
out this way every single time. Wait till we play
(12:56):
the Seahawks or something, or like you know what I mean.
We can't do this every time.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
Oh no, man, you gotta have faith, you gotta believe.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Man, I'm just frustrated. I'm watching this game. I'm like,
I can't believe this. Man, this is a great season
and we're gonna lose to the Packers and then everyone's
gonna be mad and like it just what a waste?
And then oh wait, let's just go ahead, real quick,
score twenty four, just real quick, just a couple of touchdowns,
real quick? Oh good, we won Wow, better play better
next time. I guess. I don't know. I can't be
(13:31):
the only one who's just impassionate about it. Oh it's
twenty five points in the fourth quarter, Sorry, twenty five points.
Twenty five man, I don't think my heart can handle it,
is what I mean. And like if you saw my
instant stories, I was like, this is bad, and then
like two hours later that was exceptional. I went from
(13:51):
calling my therapist to drinking for good reasons, not bad
reasons like I normally do. So I don't know, does
no one else Your Kiki's over here celebrating, jumping up
and down because you watch something that was truly exceptional,
And I'm over here going I'm tired of seeing this,
Like just blow her. They start winning, like play well
(14:12):
the whole time, right from the beginning. Right, That's all
I'm saying, quit doing is to us up front.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Yes, when you're like at a party two and then
like the vibes like they're going.
Speaker 6 (14:20):
In waves, I don't like that.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I want to be like on a high all time.
Speaker 6 (14:23):
So I agree with you, Fred, I'm gonna ride with
you on this one. I'm sure that's what they want to,
you know, players make it.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Happen I'm sure they do too, But isn't that someone
in there control. I don't know how you go from
being so average to so exceptional and then just turning
it off and doing it over and over again. That's
my problem. Someone says, stop complaining. You know how many
years of being up until the fourth quarter and then
blowing the game we had to watch. That's true too.
I mean that's true too. I just if it were
(14:50):
if it were one game, I would say, wow, woof,
we got lucky there. It's a bit of a theme
this season, and I'm I'm just saying, stop it.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
It knock at all.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
I so understand, like what's happening with you right now?
And I stand with you, my brother, I get it.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Thank you, I hear you. I'm grateful. I mean again
and again. Not everyone lives in Chicago, but if you've
lived in a team in a city where your team
was doing exceptionally well, I mean, what ten years ago
the Panthers went to a Super Bowl. It was such
an exciting time. Even this weekend in Charlotte where our
show is on. It was exciting because they had exceeded
expectations and that it was electric like it was awesome,
(15:29):
and I'm happy for that wherever, wherever you are, baseball,
whatever sport it is. I mean, black Hawks have been good,
Cubs have been good in my time living in Chicago.
Socks I'm sure will be good again. It's one of
those things. It's better when your teams are firing. Quit
playing with my emotions. And I know Caitlin knows this
because because this is what the Lions they're They're good
(15:51):
and good and good and good until they have to
be good and then they're bad. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, I mean we got knocked out right before the
Super Bowl last year, so you can imagine the pain
that I was going through on that walk home.
Speaker 6 (16:01):
I walked home from the bar, like man, I sat
on a bench like I didn't know. I'm not even joking,
like I like truly, like where do I go from here?
I had my Nana's ashes because I thought we were
gonna have this moment.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
It was just us on that bench and Kiki just
discovered this and she thinks every game is like this.
I wish every game we're not like that.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
I don't know, man, it's a great story, great story,
oh man.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Yeah, anyway, I'm gonna play a song now I'm gonna
take it. I mean, my breathing was getting weird at
the end of that game. I'm like, do I need
to insult a physician or something? The biggest stories of
the day. I'm going through all these sexts. Yeah, this
is it. Someone said, I agree with Fred as well.
It's annoying and it's not gonna work every time. Mark said,
I think the Bear set up schemes for later in
(16:47):
the game. Opponents get baited based upon the first few
quarters and then we change it up in the fourth. Yeah,
but I guess my thing is why we got waste
so long, Like like one of these times, it's not
gonna work, and I'm a fre These games are getting important.
What are we three game? Two games away from the
super Bowl? Like, you can't be doing stuff like this,
especially when you're good. That's what I mean. If you're
(17:08):
like not that good and then you pull it out
in the end, like that's exciting. I guess, But I
guess there's too much talent to be putting us through
this sort of emotional roller coaster. I just don't appreciate
stop it, knock it off. And Caleb did say, and
he was like, not even he didn't even look remotely
phased at the end of the game. Yeah, we got
to play better. You know you think you think? Okay, anyway,
(17:37):
I'm okay. Now, what is this more, Maureen says, all
the commentators talked about how the Bears play all four quarters,
and that's how they've been winning it. So let's consider
it's ourselves. Let's consider ourselves blessed. This is why I
don't watch football regulating more because I can't take it.
I think that's what it is is. I was just
I was having a difficult time breathing properly, and I
am I and I just I can't handle the range
(17:59):
of emotions because I'm just like, oh man, well all
this Chri's great season, and then the Packers really you're
you have to hear about it from the Packers people,
annoying cheesehead, greater cheese packer people, and I don't want it.
And then we won, which is again I'm very happy
about it. I just we need him come home from
(18:21):
the beginning. We got to do it. And Chase's mom
is a Green Bay Packers fan. If you don't understand
the rivalry, Packers and the Bears hate each other. And
there's no reason why somebody who is born and raised
in Chicago as your mother was would be a Packers fan.
There is no reason why you would choose that life.
And she has Have you had any contact with her
since this devastating swing of events for her? Right?
Speaker 7 (18:44):
No, I did not talk to her on Saturday, but
then I went and I saw them yesterday, and I
waited to bring it up because I was like, I'm
not trying to gloat, even though I wanted to be,
like you look at face, you know. And she was like,
did you watch the game last night? And I told
her I fell asleep, watched it and then woke me
up when we won. And then her narrative, I just
(19:04):
don't understand they were so good in the beginning and
now just.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Everything you said but the opposite.
Speaker 7 (19:09):
Right, So she has the same frustration, and she's like,
you know, I think they might have thrown it on purpose.
I was like, Mom, they would have not done that,
not against us, Like how are you going to throw
your biggest rivalry game? Like that's not even possible. So
she's I think she's going through the stages of grief.
Speaker 5 (19:25):
Right.
Speaker 7 (19:25):
So we haven't reached what is it acceptance or whatever?
Still in stage one or whatever it is?
Speaker 1 (19:32):
So, yes, somebody did terry TEXTI. It takes till the
second half of Caleb's fingernail polished and dry, slippery in
the first half. Oh boy, right, he looks good. If
it weren't a theme, I wouldn't be worried. I'm just
worried because, like, we just can't do this in the
super Bowl. Because you do this to us in the
super Bowl and lose. I think that the emergency rooms
(19:53):
in the city are going to have issues, like it's
it's not going to be good. And I don't know.
I guess if I were winning a game like that,
i'd be at the end going whoa, Like I'd be scared.
I'd be like, I can't believe it, Like we can't
do this and it's just so chill, and then in
the locker room yelling scream, yeah, we did it, We
do it all you what you mean? Hey man? Nobody
(20:14):
just get it, guys. The script. The script worked on
Kiki Man. She she's discovered football for the first seven
or thirty some of your lives. So this is exciting.
We got one more playoff game to determine the next
round tonight and says Steelers Texans at the Steelers. That's
at eight o'clock Eastern, seven Central. But Bill's Broncos the
(20:38):
four nine Ers at the Seahawks, and then you've got
Rams at Bears. That's the first two games of Saturday.
Rams at Bears Sunday, and then the winner of the
Texas Texan Steelers at the Patriots also on Sunday. So
it's gonna be a very exciting Sunday evening for our
Chicago fans, and I mean Bears fans. We don't have
(20:59):
any fans, but you know Bear fans, people who like
the Bears. The Indiana Hoosiers defeated the Oregon Ducks big time,
fifty six to twenty two at the College Football Playoff
semi final the Chick fil A Peach Bowl on Friday.
The Hoosiers will now face the Miami Hurricanes in the
National Championship Game next Monday night. In nonsports headlines today,
TSA officers have shared the wildest things that people have
(21:20):
tried to fly with across the country. In twenty twenty five.
In October, a TSA officer in Newark found a handgun
hidden in a guitar case, which is a natural place
to hide your gun. I guess the mob right. Officers
said the passenger told him the case was a gift
from someone else and he didn't know a gun was
in there. Well, it's another way to get on the
no fly list, don't you hear the announcement? Don't be
(21:43):
taking stuff on the plane if you don't if you
didn't pack it, like I've watched that to Catch It
Smugglers show one too many times. Oh, I didn't know
what was in the suitcase. Well then why did you
take it on an airplane?
Speaker 8 (21:53):
Right?
Speaker 1 (21:53):
If you didn't know a few months before that, another
officer found a BB gun hidden inside the lining of
a passenger's luggage. New work. Someone else found several throwing
stars in a check in bag. I've been wondering where
those were My throwing stars, A flashlight, taser, a knife
hidden inside a comb, and drugs were hidden inside a
(22:15):
paper towel in a passenger's shoe. Okay, so you're not
supposed to do any of them. Camlin's a big pickleball player.
You discovered pickleball the way that Kiki discovered football exactly. Now,
have you been playing much of it. I know it
was like more of a summer thing. Fee we're looking
at outfits and paddles and sponsorships and things like that.
Where are we at with that now?
Speaker 3 (22:36):
So I have not played indoors since it's gotten colder,
But if somebody wants to, you know, go mix it up.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Jason, Yeah, in the kitchen, man stand of the kitchen.
I don't even know what that means, really, but I
just know people say that. But there's another paddle sport
lining up to be the next big thing, and it's
called paddle pad e L. I think it's called pit paddle.
Is that why he would say that? Sure, I don't
think you'd say padel I don't know. It's a fast
paced mix of tennis and squash, played on a smaller courts,
(23:05):
surrounded by glass walls that keep rallies alive and games social.
Invented decades ago in Mexico, it's suddenly taken off worldwide,
now play in about ninety countries of millions trying it
for the first time. It's easy to learn, usually played
in doubles and design for longer, more entertaining points, and
that helps explain the surge in new courts and private investment.
(23:26):
The sport has also picked up celebrity fans and major
buzz overseas, especially in Europe and Latin America, and industry
watchers say that the US could be next paddle. Okay,
so pick a ball, move aside, Now we got past
that sounds more athletic. Though weren't a box. It's supposed
to last longer, right, I feel like pickleball is, like
(23:46):
you know, then it's the slower pace if you wanted
to be you don't have to be out here like
sweating a whole lot, do you No?
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Like I was going too hard for pickleball, Like you
can't hit overhand. The ball has to bounce first. You
can't just like hit it.
Speaker 4 (23:59):
I was too much at first. But it's leisurely. It
sounds like we're just remixing tennis. Why don't we just
played tennis?
Speaker 1 (24:09):
Well, but I think tennis requires more athleticism. I don't
think I know it does. So the pick a ball
court is much smaller and you stay in a little area,
and you were in Camlyn's point. I guess you're not
supposed to be like smashing itad at people and stuff,
So right, my bed, even though I have heard you
referred to as the Venus Williams of pickleball in the community.
(24:31):
In the pickleball community, I have heard you referred to
as that. Yeah, I have. I failed to mention the
Golden Globes were last night. Can we'll get to that
next in the entertainment report. And finally, maybe you can
relate to this. I think most of us can. A
motorcyclist in Florida was arrested after police said he was
caught going one hundred and seventeen on a roadway on
his motorcycle when obviously pulled him over. He didn't blame
speed racing. He told him that he was driving fast
(24:53):
because he really really needed to use the bathroom. Authoriti
didn't buy the excuse, and he was taken into custody.
I mean, the only thing that you can do in
that situation is if you say that you have to
use the bathroom that badly you were doing one hundred
and seventeen miles an hour, you have to immediately crap
your pants, like because well, now I got pulled over,
(25:13):
so like you know what I mean, Like if you
say I have to go to the bathroom, so badly
proven then they stop you. You're not gonna be able
to get through a full on interrogation and arrest without
going to the bathroom, you know what I mean. So like,
at that point, you have no choice but to pee yourself.
And then when they're like why did you pee yourself,
You're like, because I told you I had to go
to the bathroom, and if you hadn't stopped me, none
of this would have happened. So I don't I think
(25:35):
that's what you have to do that because if I
say like, oh my god, I have to go to
the bathroom so bad that I have to drive that fast,
and then you know, an hour and a half later,
I'm sitting in a cell and I still haven't used
the bathroom, then I lied to.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
You, right, Yeah, you know.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
That would be me.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
I would one hundred percent. It's happened.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
We gotten pulled over before, but I've had some close
calls in the car, so I definitely would understand that.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
That's because you're doing muck bangs in the car anything,
you know, it's the price of business.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
Yeah, Well, you sit there with your little table that
you downloaded your car table that you download it from TikTok. Yeah,
you binge taco bell. I mean, for some reason, you
want to know why halfway home? Here is the bathroom.
You're doing one hundred and seventeen miles an hour. It's
National Clean Off your Test Day, It's National Pharmacist Day,
and it's kiss a Ginger Day. It's on okay, so
(26:23):
people are messing with me. In the text, I think
someone said it said padel paddel, not paddle okay, because
paddles p A D D L E and this is
not spelled that way. That's why I was like, it
is that how you say it, padel?
Speaker 6 (26:37):
I thought you were just getting cute with the spelling.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yeah, yeah, that's how I say it. Yeah you say padel, Yes, yes, yes, yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I know you just every week.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
I know you just put a padel a padel court
in your home, right next to your football viewing room
that you just build. Entertainment report is on the press.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Show The eighty third Goal and Globes went down last
night hosted by Nikki Glazier, where One Battle after Another
and Adolescence both came out on top with four wins each.
One Battle after Another was that one I told you guys,
to watch with Leonardo DiCaprio. Tiana Taylor, who won Best
Supporting Actress, her first Golden Globe. I believe, really powerful,
(27:19):
amazing speech. She looked beautiful, but I think she like
always has to. I don't think it's impossible for her
to not look amazing and beautiful.
Speaker 6 (27:27):
And then did you guys who all watched in the room?
You watch Kiki?
Speaker 2 (27:30):
You're on Instagram?
Speaker 6 (27:31):
Okay, okay, guys, does that count?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Just watched the highlights at four o'clock this morning? Does
that count?
Speaker 2 (27:37):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Sure?
Speaker 6 (27:38):
Jason? Did you watch No Oh My good morning?
Speaker 1 (27:41):
Okay? All right, well done?
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Perfect, because I did the sixteen year old after Owen Cooper.
He won for Adolescence, which has I have not watched Adolescence,
but it was winning a ton of awards, but he
he broke a record. He became the youngest ever to
win the Supporting Actor Award. And his speech was so
cute because you could tell he couldn't really figure out
if this was real life. And he told this story
(28:03):
about how he was the only boy in his acting
class and he was really nervous and it made him
feel really embarrassed, but he pushed through it and he
took a chance and then he won this golden globe,
so it was really really cute.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
I watched Adolescents. Let me look here, because yeah, you know,
I watched stuff and I reach stuff and then I don't.
I go through fast and I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
People aren't a lot of people are talking about it,
but I have not watched it. I kind of want
to now because it was winning everything well, and it's
rare that I get to something before it gets big.
Usually I'm either with everyone or like way late, and
then I go, guys, did you hear about Padel?
Speaker 1 (28:42):
I did watch Adolescents? You did?
Speaker 5 (28:43):
It was good?
Speaker 1 (28:46):
I thought he was the boy was very good. No,
it was good. It was good. It's a it's a
slow watch and if you see you know what I'm like.
I don't know. I guess I watched it. I was like, okay,
and then the ending, I was like, really, that's it.
And then it won all these awards and I thought
the acting was really good. I just sort of it was.
(29:06):
It's kind of dark and slow, and again I don't
I don't remember. I remember being disgruntled by the ending
if I if I recall, but this was I probably
watched it well over a year ago, I think, so
any yeah, but yeah, congratulations to him because I think
he's won several.
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Things for this Okay, yeah, I just know it was
his first glow. But he was really cute. Now, I
thought the show was pretty good, but if you are
a d D, it was difficult.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
So you know how like the presenter will announce an
award and then as the winner's walking up to the podium,
you kind of just watch them walk. Now, they thought
that that was too much idle time, so then they
had two commentators talking about things as they were walking up.
Speaker 6 (29:44):
So it was just a lot for my brain to process.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Oh no, but I do like this show because it's
a little bit more loosey goosey, Like I feel like
people get a little tipsy as the night goes on. Now,
I can't believe we were left out of the best
podcast category because.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
That was a new at the Garden glow at the
in there all alone.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
Next year is our year.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
Next year is our year.
Speaker 3 (30:04):
Okay, but they entrusted Snoop Dogg to introduce that the
winner for that, and I think we for once saw
that even he has his limits.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
But the real winner.
Speaker 8 (30:19):
I'm high as a love right now ahead, He damn low.
The winner is good. Hang with Amy Poet.
Speaker 6 (30:32):
He like he was reading and he started giggling and
then was like spinning around. I'm like, oh, he's too high.
I never thought I would see that in my life.
It was really funny.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
And then Amy Puller joked, it's just how I always
imagined it Snoop Dogg's here, I'm winning a podcast or
it was very funny.
Speaker 6 (30:48):
Nikki closed out the night with a tribute to Rob Reiner.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
She wore a spinal Tap hat in honor of the
late actor director, who was found, of course, stabbed to
death with his wife at their home in California on
December fourteenth.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
She said, well, that's our show.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
This one went to eleven, and that was a reference
to a classic line from his nineteen eighty four Rock
and Roll mockumentary. She said, thank you for an amazing night,
before quoting spinal Tap again. I hope we found the
line between clever and stupid. So I thought that was
a really nice way to wrap things up. And we'll
talk more about the award show throughout the morning real quick,
Mary and Morris that she's pulled back from traditional country music.
(31:22):
She thinks the vibe in the industry has gotten too
tense for her, also mixing politics, even though she still
loves music.
Speaker 6 (31:30):
Wants to stay in Nashville. She loves that itself.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
But she got really candid in a TikTok just saying
that she's grateful for what the genre gave her, but
the atmosphere around award shows and industry events has grown
very heated on friendly at times, especially as things started
overlapping in the music scene. And this comes with her
own life changes. She's now a single mom, and she
said that she just wants to discover different kinds of music,
(31:54):
and she's kind of always been a little more poppy
as well, but she got veryvulnerable with sharing that. And lastly,
Miss Dolly Parton won't be attending her own eightieth birthday
a celebration at the Grand ole Opry on January seventeenth,
a special show planned just two days before her milestone birthday.
Instead of being there in person, she will share a
(32:15):
heartfelt video message thanking fans and performers for lending their
voices to honor her legacy, and saying she will be
sending all her love from afar. There's gonna be lots
of tributes from iconic country singers.
Speaker 6 (32:28):
But that makes me a little nervous. It makes me
a little nervous. Now, no one said anything, but I
don't know why you go dollars? Just text me or something.
She doesn't even have a phone. But okay, I don't know.
It makes you a little nervous.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
But she will be sending a video message, and she
has not explained why she won't be there. But remember
she also postponed her residency, so maybe she's just not
up to it.
Speaker 1 (32:53):
Maybe she's just resting.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
You know, she's okay, Yes, she's totally fine.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
I think it happened to her. She'll live forever. It's fine,
it's fine, perfect, We're all good. Don't worry. Don't worry.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
I'm a little worried, but we're good.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
She's put down your stop making graphics, Kiki. I've done
with it. Here's the story, and all of a sudden,
she's starting to build graphics. Get off of Getty images.
We don't need any pictures of Delli. Partner's fine.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I'm done joking around. You won't catch me joking about Dolly.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
If you're going to the show. Kiki's in charge of
our social media, and every time she was really getting
ahead of making graphics for people's untimely deaths. But sadly
she was right. She was predicting. She was predicting people dying.
So stop, so we just stop with the graphics now, Yes,
we're dood, We're done. I'm not missing around with Dolly.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
I would not survive that.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
If you are a new friend and you want to
catch up on anything you missed from the show, we
put it all up there on the free iHeartRadio app
to search the Fred Show on demand.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
I do remember this about adolescence, that show you were
talking about. Each episode is filmed in one take. I
could remember. It couldn't have been the whole thing. Yeah,
each episode was one take, which if you can imagine,
like that's that's that would be so stressful beyond imagine,
like and I wasn't. There was an episode of The
Bear that was at least one that was that way too,
(34:13):
where the whole thing was filmed in one take. And
can you my anxiety I'd be the guy in the
last scene would be if I mess this up, you
know what I mean, Like I'm gonna I'm gonna screw
this up and then we're gonna do the whole thing
over again.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Because of me, I would have an interestive thought and
y'all like an inappropriate word or something, because my brain
told me I had to that.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
We do to show right, Well, you can tell right
everybody knows. There's no doubt this is not the produced thing.
