Speaker 1 (00:01):
My friend from Minnesota lives in Turkey, and she'll be like,
American snacks. I'm like, you're from the Midwest, girl.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I don't care how the food is in Turkey.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
You come back from a week and you're like, oh,
the water was so much purer.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
American snacks.

Speaker 4 (00:14):
Paula, have you ever had the water in Iceland? It's true.
It comes out of the tap. It's just like from
a glacier.

Speaker 5 (00:18):
It's true.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
You just sound like a D-bag.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
You grew up in Burlington, Iowa. The Fred Show is on.
It's Thursday, September 3rd. The water in Iceland is pretty good.
Is that? It's right out the tap.

Speaker 6 (00:29):
Oh.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Well, it comes off the glacier.

Speaker 5 (00:30):
If I do say so myself.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I think it does. I don't know. Somebody's like, did
you just drink the water? Like, it's just like bottled water,
but it's free. Well, it wasn't free. Get my ass in. Reykjavik.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
That was cool when you did that.

Speaker 7 (00:44):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Oh, back in the day?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
You didn't know where you were going.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
No, I just went to the airport. Bought a ticket. What?
It was my first solo trip.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I mean, I had a general idea because I knew
what time the flights left, but like I decided when
I got to the airport, I've always wanted.

Speaker 4 (00:56):
To do it.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
That's awesome.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Technically, I bought it on the way to make sure
that like I didn't. Christopher. Well, no, like I didn't
want to show up at O'Hare and like, you know.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I pictured you looking at like the board.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Being like, hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Well, I did that at home, but that would have
been bad if I'd rolled. Also, I had to know
whether to bring a jacket or not. So I had
to know what my options were. Isn't that to buy
a ticket to some place internationally an hour before you
go there?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
That's still pretty good, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, it takes me a year to even think about it.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I mean, this is probably a dumb question, but I
assume you can just walk up to a counter and
buy a ticket.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
But I feel like they would tell me to get
on the website.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
Oh, they will.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
I feel like if I walked up to the ticket counter,
I'm like, is it like one ticket to Iceland?

Speaker 3 (01:34):
They'd be like, okay, well, you got a phone in
your hand.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Like, you know, it's true.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
What you think I was going to do.

Speaker 6 (01:41):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
You're behind a ticket counter. I thought maybe you'd offer
me a ticket.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
No, they don't do that.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
No, it's amazing how many times in your life with
technology do you walk up to a human or talk
to a human and you're like, hey, I need this.
And they're like, great, you can go to our website. Like, yeah,
but I'm speaking to you. Like, you're here, though. You're
right here. So you could do it, right?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
We've got to stop.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
No, no, no, you've got to go to the website
for that. Okay, well.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
Are you trying to work your way out of a job?
Or do you want AI to replace you? Are you
hoping for that? Because it happened to me the other day.
I walked into a place and I needed some help
with something. And they're like, well, that's available on our website.
I'm like, well, is it available here?

Speaker 6 (02:19):
Right.

Speaker 5 (02:20):
Like, I'm right here, right now.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
With you.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
When the survey comes in my email, do you want
me to tell them? I tried to get a human
to do it, but the human said no. We weren't
interested in that.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Morning, Kaylin. Hey. Hi, Paulina. Hey. Hi, Kiki. Good morning.
Jason's out today. I show up and just see who's
with me. Who shows up, yeah. I meet outside.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
We meet outside the elevator every morning for a huddle,
and I'm just like, who's in today? And today, it's
you guys and Bella. Jason's gone. I was gone yesterday.
You were gone. We just can't get them all together
in one room.

Speaker 8 (02:51):
I know.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
We have not had the whole crew.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
Right.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Where's the band?

Speaker 4 (02:55):
We have it in weeks. How was the trip? It
was amazing.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
It really was.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
You were in Puerto Rico. Yeah, man.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
I love Puerto Rico. And Puerto Rico loves me.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Is that right?

Speaker 5 (03:06):
Oh, it was great.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Why does Puerto Rico love you?

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Puerto Rico may not have water, but they have everything else.
You know, like everything.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
We don't have water. It's an island. Exactly.

Speaker 5 (03:15):
I can't figure that part out either. But apparently they're
going through a drought. Yeah, it's some type of job.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Oh, you mean like drinking water? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
I'm like, I thought you couldn't find the ocean. I'm like, well, that's,
are you sure that's where you went?

Speaker 5 (03:25):
There is a crisis.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
But yeah, you're around the water. I wonder the same thing.
I'm like, can we bring water, like, you know, from
here to there?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, it's salt water. It's more complicated, right? No, I
literally thought you're like, I couldn't find the water.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I'm like, well, that's. No, no, no. Because you had
to fly over it.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
No, shout out to the 13. They kept warning me, like,
as I was preparing for the trip. They're like, Kiki,
I know you're going there, but it's a drought.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
It's a drought.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Honey, Puerto Rico got it popping over there, okay? Not
only do they have water, but everybody in Puerto Rico
is fine.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Like, I.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I've only seen this in Houston. I feel like Houston,
Texas is a dangerous place because everybody is big and fine.
In Puerto Rico, everybody is tan and fine. I've never
seen so many fine people. I'm talking about grandmothers, granddaddies,
the airport lady. I mean, everybody is gorgeous over there.
I had a beautiful time.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yes. Okay. I did.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
And if you could ever book a trip to travel
with your aunts, I think you should do it.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Why?

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Because they pay for everything?

Speaker 5 (04:20):
Well, they pay for certain things.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yes, they do.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
And they do like to argue over the bill. That
was a great thing that I'm not used to.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Right.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
You know, I was going to put in.

Speaker 4 (04:30):
Right.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
But like I had an aunt for every situation. Like
there was one aunt who loves a margarita. And you
know me on vacation, I love a margarita. So we
wake up drinking margaritas. There's an aunt that loves to shop.
So I was like, oh, yes, I can go with her.
She likes to shop.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
But Kiki can't have a normal margarita. It's got to
be like a boysenberry margarita. It has to be the
color of the inside liquid of a highlighter.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I didn't know kiwis produced that.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Bright green substance. It has to be a green apple margarita.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (04:59):
I like a strawberry, lime, blueberry, something situation, you know.
So I love that part of it. And, you know,
it was just good to see them in their little element,
like watching them travel and like what they think is fun.
I mean, when we got the news about Lionel Richie
in the ICU, baby, the whole trip was shaking.

Speaker 9 (05:17):
Oh, no.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
It's like, I'm not laughing at Lionel.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Free Lionel. Is he okay? I saw that, too. Is
he all right?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Yeah, he's going through some health issues. They tried to
tell us it was like dehydration and stuff, but I
didn't believe that.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
And it is cardiac, so. Oh, no.

Speaker 4 (05:32):
He must be protected at all costs.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Did you meet him here at the festival?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I did not get to meet him, which is very
upsetting to me. Because I grew up with Lionel Richie.

Speaker 10 (05:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
My little white mom jamming Lionel Richie and Luther Vandross
like it was her day. I had no idea how
uncommon that happened to be. At the time that we
were singing Whitney and Luther as a five-year-old, you know?

Speaker 8 (05:51):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (05:51):
That was how we did. Anyway, so he's okay?

Speaker 11 (05:53):
Well.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
He must be okay.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know right now.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Go to the ICU. Go to, is it St. Louis?
Go to Kansas City, wherever he is. Go right now.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
I'm on my way.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Give me the keys to the pub.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
He is back home, yeah, after three days in the ICU.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
Yeah, so that was hot news on the trip. Also,
rolling with people who have handicapped parking. Like, that's, we
need to, yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Oh, me and my Nana would have a time. It's
a game changer. We would go out drinking. Yeah, it's
a game changer.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
The handicap sticker.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Is in the hot seat. Because I'm assuming someone needed it. Yes. Oh, yeah. Always. Oh, yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:27):
She had a cane and everything.

Speaker 8 (06:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:29):
She fit the profile. And everything.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I know she had a cane. Did she need the cane?

Speaker 5 (06:33):
VIP parking everywhere we went.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
I love it. Okay, didn't answer the question. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
She said, move along, girl.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Okay. It was great. All right. It was great. Any
other discoveries in Puerto Rico?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Um, you know, that, you know, the food was amazing.
And Puerto Rico is just a beautiful place.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Yeah, shout out Bad Bunny.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
Yeah, I was looking for him.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Girl, if you found him and I didn't, there'd be problems.
She'd be stomping around here like, oh dear, I'll go
back right now. Look for him together.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
It was amazing.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
Last time I was in Puerto Rico, and I think
it's been long enough, I can tell the story. I'll
never reveal. Well, maybe. I wish. I've been there many times.
Two or three times in Puerto Rico. What are you
talking about? What do you mean? That's our 15th affiliate, man.
They love us in Puerto Rico. It's funny.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
They're always calling me that. And people are like, I
didn't know you were such a big deal in Puerto Rico.
I'm like, yeah, me and Benito.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
You have like those wicker hats. Do I have?

Speaker 2 (07:35):
A straw hat.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
How many?

Speaker 3 (07:36):
I have one right here just in case somebody from
Puerto Rico walks in. No, we went there for something.
My sister was there, family trip, and I went to
a casino. Because they got a lot of casinos there.

Speaker 5 (07:48):
Yes, they do.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
And the hotel had a casino, so we're in there
and whatever, having a nice time. And my sister and
I had a little bit to drink. And so we're
walking out and there's a roulette table. And I'm like,
I'm going to put money on... I can't remember if
it was red or black. Red, I think it was.
I put money on red. And I hit. And it's
the pit boss and the dealer standing there. And they're like,
do it again. I'm like, well, do it again. It's

(08:10):
my money. Right, right.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
You said again.

Speaker 4 (08:13):
So I hit again.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
And then they're like, do it again. I'm like, okay.
So I hit again. So at this point now, I
think I'm lucky. I think I'm the luckiest person alive.
Red hit three times in a row. And then they're like,
and the pit boss is like, if you keep tipping
the dealer, you're going to keep hitting red. And I'm like, what?
And I kid you not, this is not a joke.
And my family, I literally probably won $ 3, 000. I mean,

(08:36):
an insane amount of money.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
When did you call it? How did you know to
call it?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I don't know, but- But my parents tell the story
of me banging on their door at 1 o'clock in
the morning at the hotel with money everywhere, being like,
I can pay for the trip. And they were like,
that's funny, because no, you can't. Well, you're going to
need a little more than that. So we just kept
doing this. And I'm like, I just, I was incredibly lucky.

(09:02):
And my sister's like, I cannot believe how much money
you're winning.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
This is crazy. And they're doing this.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
So then maybe like a year later, I go on
a date with a girl who in college was a
dealer at a casino.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
And I'm telling her how lucky I am.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
And she goes, and again, I don't know if this
is true, but she says to me, oh yeah, like
a good, a good roulette dealer, like whatever roulette, whatever
it is. If you're a dealer, I guess, um, the
guy who spins the ball, a really, really good one
can place not only the color, but the number.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
What?

Speaker 5 (09:29):
So he was cheating for you because you were paying
him under the table.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Exactly.

Speaker 3 (09:32):
But it was all in the open. I mean, it
was like, then the guy was, it was a scam,
but it was like a scam, right? But it was
in a legit casino. And I just, I think I
went like nine out of 10. And so I just
kept betting more. And then I kept tipping more and
everybody was in there like, you're so lucky.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
And I'm like, I'm so lucky.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Do you remember how much you had to tip?

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Well, that was a bit of a giveaway, but I
always tip when I win. If I'm winning, I tip.
So I was like, okay. You know, a little for me,
a little for you. And then we did this for
like an hour. And like, it got to the point
where like my sister and I thought we were so lucky.
We were screaming and we were celebrating. And then like,
you know what happens when that starts, people start gathering
around us.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
Yeah. People start gathering around.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Everyone's like putting you on their shoulders.

Speaker 4 (10:12):
Oh, it's a whole party. And then everyone's like, do
it again. I'm like, I'm going to do it again.
You're the man. I'm like, look at what I can do.
I'm so lucky.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
That's a new story and a very funny one.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
I have to sit around. Thank you so much.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
I have to sit around and think of new ones
because I tell the same 10 ones over and over again.
But again, and then this girl's like, oh, yeah. And
I have no idea how that's possible. I guess I
could see how maybe you could get a feel for
like red or black because it's 50-50 for the most part.
But as far as like placing that ball on a number,
you could somehow do that.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
Where was this.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Story before I left? Well, I could have been rich.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
I'm not sure if those two gentlemen are still employed there,
if they're in prison.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
I don't know how long this scam has been going on.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
But well, I love that the text blows up a
new story, Fred. Wow. It's that bad, is it?

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Because your stories are good.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
So I like to hear stories are good. All ten
of them.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I should have told you where to go.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
I mean, it would have been helpful, but hey. I
was rolling with the high rollers, okay.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Did you win any money? No.

Speaker 5 (11:22):
I don't have any money.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
You just came back from a trip where your aunts
paid for everything and you're still broke?

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (11:29):
How did that happen? Headlines, biggest stories of the day
and the Entertainment Report, both next.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Fred's show. Fred's biggest stories of the day. Daryl texts
us every day. We love Daryl.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
What up, Daryl?

Speaker 3 (11:40):
And he texted, I went to the casino and the
roulette dealer said, don't forget to put money on seven.
So I put $ 100 on seven and I hit $ 3, 500,
shipped him $ 400.

Speaker 4 (11:50):
Wow. What I'm talking about.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
Yeah, he know what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (11:53):
I love that.

Speaker 5 (11:54):
Shout out to those dealers.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
I want to know, if you've ever been a dealer
in a casino... Is it true? Like, is there a
racket going on? Like, can you really can guys really
place the ball?

Speaker 3 (12:04):
That's amazing. Is that thing spinning? I don't know how
you'd be able to do that.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
I just feel like it's all a big scam. So
I'm sure there's a bunch of tricks that they can
pull off. I just wish someone had told me before
I went all the way to Puerto Rico.

Speaker 3 (12:17):
Again, I think the guy's probably serving like four to seven.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
I don't know if he's still at the casino. I
think he lost his dealer license. But the pit bosses
in on it too. They were all in on it,
but it was a blast. Here's what I have to say.
I don't know, but I don't know for a fact,
but I know it was a great time and they
were very happy about it because it like really got
the place going.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Cause we really thought we were like hot.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
And I was telling you guys off the air the
next day, I'm walking around the hotel and people were like,
there he is.

Speaker 5 (12:45):
Yeah, because it gives everybody else hope.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
You know what I'm saying? It's like if.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Your neighbor wins the lottery, now you think that you
have a chance.

Speaker 4 (12:51):
And you really don't.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
But we were just so happy, and we had no money,
and we were having so much fun, and I don't know.
It's one of those things where people start gathering to
see the spectacle.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
There's the magic man.

Speaker 5 (13:02):
There he is.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I also want to know if you were a blackjack
dealer ever. Because we have the most random thing. People
listen to us and have done the most random things.
I contend, it must be so boring, I contend that
you're counting in your head. And not that you're telling
anyone to count, but I swear that there's got to
be something going on in your mind while you're doing
this all day, over and over, hour after hour, to

(13:25):
keep yourself entertained. And again, I'm not suggesting you would
cheat and tell the person, like, oh, you're going to
bet now.

Speaker 8 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
But I used to go to Vegas a lot. There
was one woman at one hotel. I will not say
who or her name. But she'd be like, play two hands.
And then I'd start winning again. The power.

Speaker 5 (13:42):
Now, wait a minute. What do you have going on?

Speaker 3 (13:45):
First of all, you know when I want to be
a conversationalist, I'm a conversationalist.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
You are, yes. And if I'm going to sit there
and play blackjack all day, I got to know these people.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
They knew my mom. Yeah, I used to go to
Vegas two or three times a year. This is back
when I... I was living a little loose. I was
living a little loose back in the day.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
But no, it's like, I contend you got to do
something to keep your mind going because the same conversation
over and over can't be like, where are you from?
I'm from Toledo. Okay, cool.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
The people they meet though, I bet they don't get bored.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
Uh maybe not you know but not everyone's very nice
i would think you know people lose they get mad
at you like somehow you had something apparently at this
casino they did but at other places you know technically
they're not supposed to have anything to do with the
outcome but i would get i would get bored i
think i would teach myself how to count cards and
then in my mind i would be like playing the
game but i'm not playing the game i'm not gonna
tell i'm not gonna get i'm gonna go to jail

(14:36):
or whatever get fired for cheating But anyway, you know,
Ben Affleck is a very talented card counter.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
I guess he's a genius. Yeah, I heard. And he's
banned from a bunch of casinos because he counts cards
and he's too good.

Speaker 12 (14:47):
I know.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
And he always looks upset and like, you know, carrying
eight things.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
He never looks happy. I know. The guy never looks happy.
He's been with J-Lo. He's been with Jennifer Garner. Yeah.
He's got a lot of money. Mm-hmm. Friends with Matt Damon.
I mean, I don't know. It gets no better than that. Like,
I don't understand. How could your life be better?

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Maybe he just has a RBF.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Yeah. Maybe. Maybe so. All right. Biggest story of the day.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
Tiger Woods had his driver's license suspended for five years
after reaching a plea deal in his DUI case. The
golfer pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of reckless
driving and refusal to submit a lawful test. He also
agreed to pay $ 1, 500 after being found guilty of careless driving.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah, he switched his plea. I think this is for
the best. Like, I think get you a driver you
can trust and.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Sounds like a heck of a deal.

Speaker 3 (15:34):
The judge in the case ruled that Woods' license is
suspended for the safety of the public. And this is
a real search that has gone on, and people really
would like to know. He still can drive a golf cart,
in case you were concerned about it.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
He should not.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Concerned about it i am.

Speaker 3 (15:49):
So he pled no contest to lesser charges stemming from
the dui um and florida governor ron desantis even weighed
in saying tigers should be able to drive a golf
cart on a golf course prosecutors later confirmed that florida
law allows anyone under 18 to up or over 18
rather to operate a golf cart on public or private
property uh the prosecutor had much stronger warnings though about

(16:10):
cars of all the people in the world who should
not get behind the wheel of a car woods is
one of them Yeah, I agree. This person said he
could drive the fairways, not the highways. I know many
of you were very worried about this. If he could
drive a golf cart, he can't legally.

Speaker 4 (16:23):
Sober.

Speaker 3 (16:25):
Hopefully jurors in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, which seems
like everyone's glued into this now remain deadlocked as they
ended a fifth day of talks yesterday, raising the chance
that the case could end in a mistrial. The jury
of nine women and three men were told by the
judge again yesterday that it could not reach or told.
I guess they told the judge they could not reach
a unanimous decision under Massachusetts law. Judge can ask a

(16:48):
deadlock jury to keep trying twice before a mistrial may
be declared if they deadlock for a third time. Her defense,
I'm not going to get into what she did specifically
because this story gets into specifics.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
We don't need to hear of this early in the morning.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
But her defense says that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis,
heard voices telling her what to do, and had been
given too many medications. Jurors can find her guilty of
first-degree murder, second-degree murder, or manslaughter, or find her not
guilty because she lacked criminal responsibility.

Speaker 4 (17:17):
So we'll see. Now, this does not mean that she
walks or if she's not guilty that, you know, she
gets to just chill. No.

Speaker 6 (17:24):
No.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
Whatever she's encountering now is not the worst possible punishment.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Her reality right now?

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
New York City announced a one-year moratorium on student use
of generative AI in public elementary and middle schools. Now,
if we're using AI in elementary school?

Speaker 4 (17:54):
I don't trust it. What is Gigi doing with AI?

Speaker 2 (17:57):
Taking our jobs?

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Well, yeah, but I mean, like, we had to ban
it from elementary schools.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
I heard that's happening.

Speaker 4 (18:02):
What is kindergarten, you know, what is Polly doing in AI?
Get off of it.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
I don't like it.

Speaker 7 (18:07):
I have a friend who actually who's pulling her kid
and she's doing.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Like the AI training essentially at home, like homeschooling. And
I'm like, is that a good idea? But I mean,
she's not wrong. It is going to be in our future.
But at that point, I'm like... Not in a seven-year-old hand. Like,
that's crazy.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Like, you've got to learn math, bro. Please, yes.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
And how to talk to people.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
The policies intended to give educators time to establish clearer
rules around learning, cheating, privacy, and responsible AI use. The
move is notable because the country's largest school system is
effectively saying we need more time to figure this out.
It immediately opens a bigger national question about whether schools
should teach kids to use AI or keep it out
of the classrooms. And speaking of which, Anthropic has released

(18:46):
new tools designed to help retailers build AI shopping agents.
Those agents could help customers search, compare products, answer questions,
and potentially move the shoppers closer to checkout. The rollout
comes just as retailers begin preparing for the holiday shopping season.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Now, here's the thing. I would be okay with an
AI assistant that buys all of my Christmas presents for
me that like somehow has access to all y'all emails
or something or all y'all data.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Give me a card.

Speaker 5 (19:10):
I got you.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Like I, I want, you know, I'm not giving you
my data.

Speaker 3 (19:15):
I need, I need an AI thing to just be like, Hey, Kaylin,
we found her the best Marilyn Monroe statue of all time.
Even though Lucille Ball is her favorite. And for some
reason in your mind, you keep thinking it's Marilyn Monroe.
It's autographed by her. It's the whole thing. We bought
it and we shipped it to her house already. And
you don't even know where she lives.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
The statue? I know generally where you live.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
You've been invited over.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
It's true. I've been to the lobby. I've never been
invited to the cabin before.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
You have been invited. Never been invited in there.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
I can promise you that's not happening.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
The staff at cabin? No.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
It's me and Levi looking at each other.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Yeah, never been. But, you know, wouldn't that be amazing, though?

Speaker 3 (19:53):
Like, if AI or something were taking notes, like, of
every possible detail all the time.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
You know what's crazy?

Speaker 4 (19:59):
It could give you the most specific, thoughtful gift idea
that you missed. What's crazy?

Speaker 2 (20:04):
You know what's crazy? Is I don't need AI.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
I put it in my notes app with my own
little fingers when somebody says something.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Yeah, but I mean.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
You listen to people.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
You're probably missing stuff. There's more. Especially if somehow I
had access to a.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Not creepy... I don't want to see what you're looking
at on.

Speaker 4 (20:27):
Websites. I don't need to know what your category is.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
You would not be surprised.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
I don't need to know what your category is. I
bet I could guess.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
It would be really nice if I had access to
basically the back of your brain where you're like, man,
I really want to buy this, but I'm not going to.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
But you never said it out loud. Or do what
I do.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
But your computer knows, which is what? Ask people what
they're into a week before their birthday?

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Also works. What are you into these days?

Speaker 4 (20:48):
It's funny.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
About seven to ten days before my birthday, Paulina over here, hey, Fred,
what are you into these days?

Speaker 1 (20:56):
I started just giving her a list and she gives
me a list and it's so beautiful.

Speaker 8 (21:00):
It is.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
It's nice to have thoughtful friends. You guys are thoughtful
friends and you listen better than I do. And so
it's nice because you guys do birthdays well. And then
fortunately we do group. Normally it's like a group thing,
which means all I have to do is throw money
at it. And someone else already thought of the thoughtful thing.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
And everyone's happy.

Speaker 10 (21:16):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (21:16):
And it's not that I'm not thoughtful. I just, I
can't remember. Like, I got too much going on in
my brain. My brain is constantly that apple wheel that
just spins. That's my brain. And so when it comes like, oh, God,
she did tell me she wanted something specific. And I
can't remember what it is.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
No, I love where.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
We're at in our friendships.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
It's beautiful. It's just one person grabs it. You know
what we want. We know what they want. And then
you throw money in.

Speaker 3 (21:41):
But honestly, could you imagine December 1, you get a list. Hey,
this is the thing that's been searched the most by so-and-so.
There's got to be a way to do this that's
not like... Then I'm not really getting into your stuff,
but I'm, but I don't like if I bought you
the perfect gift every occasion and it was because I
had some sort of cursory access to your data or
AI did, maybe I didn't, but AI did.

Speaker 4 (22:03):
Would you really be mad?

Speaker 3 (22:04):
Like if I really couldn't see like really personal stuff,
but every time I gave you a gift, it slapped
because like somehow it was thinking more deeply than you are.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
No, but like truly you gave me one of my
favorite gifts I've ever received and you didn't use AI.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
You don't think I did.

Speaker 2 (22:20):
No, it wasn't around then.

Speaker 1 (22:21):
The Lucille Ball Time Magazine framed thing, that's one of
my favorite gifts I've ever gotten.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
And you used your noggin.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
I did use my noggin. See?

Speaker 2 (22:28):
And it wasn't Marilyn Monroe.

Speaker 4 (22:29):
No, this time I got it right.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I can't believe that the T-shirt that I got you
of Tupac and Marilyn Monroe on the stoop in New York,
obviously an authentic picture that took six months to be
delivered from a fashion brand called Fashion. I honestly have
no idea where in Cambodia it was made, but I
can't believe that that's not the best gift you've ever gotten. I, yeah,
it's a close second.

Speaker 4 (22:49):
Okay. All right.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
But I, I think I would be okay with this.
Like if every, it's like, wow, I forgot that I
wanted that. You're so thoughtful.

Speaker 8 (22:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
But really it's, yeah, I did it for me. Uh,
it's national cheese pizza day and national skyscraper day today.
The entertainment report is next. Entertainment report is on the
Fred show.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
But this was pretty interesting.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Diddy could still face charges in connection with Tupac Shakur's
murder if prosecutors uncover new evidence.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
Now, Clark County D.A.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
Steve Wolfson said he hasn't completely closed the door on
charging Diddy, but stressed there isn't currently enough evidence to
do so. At this point, we don't believe we have
enough to charge anyone else with the death of Tupac.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
But like any.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
Other case, if we come into more information, more evidence,
We can always consider filing additional charges. The comments come
one day. I think he said this after a Vegas
jury convicted Dwayne Kepede Davis of murder in connection with
Tupac's 1996 drive-by shooting. But as you know, he did
not pull the trigger. He himself has said that and

(23:53):
they believed that part of it. but they say that
he bought the gun and ordered the hit. I do
think that there are a ton of people who think
that there's a lot more to the story. And I
think it's really interesting that they would so loosely talk
about someone who they don't have a lot of evidence to,
or they say enough to support that he could be involved,
but to go so far as being like, I'm not

(24:14):
closing the door on Diddy. I mean, what does that say?
So it's very interesting. He's currently serving a four-year sentence,
Diddy is. After being convicted on two counts of transportation
to engage in prostitution. Kacey Musgraves is getting plenty of
attention for a pretty outrageous new tour prop we talked about.
Two gigantic anatomically correct sparkly disco balls that she actually

(24:35):
rides around during her show. She does this during her
song Rhinestone, joking with the crowd, this is what it
looks like when no one tells me no. Well, she
had her Nana in the audience and she recalled her
Nana always telling her, If you're going to do something big,
do it big and sparkly before asking her Nana directly.
Is this what you had in mind after Casey posted
some photos of the tour from Instagram, though? She responded

(24:58):
to one fan who wrote, I can't get behind the
large testicles.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
I'm sorry. And she wrote back, well, maybe you can
get in front of them.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
She is currently on that Middle of Nowhere tour, which
kicked off August 21st, runs through February.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
I love her so much.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
When she was at her tour stop in New York,
she seemingly got word of the mayor saying that he
listens to her. And she personally invited him by telling
him that there is a giant pothole that needs to
be filled where her show is. And because it's Casey,
I don't know if she's talking about a literal pothole. But,
you know, hey, he's a married man. But she was

(25:30):
inviting him to the show. And lastly, I want to
leave you with this. Why are people commenting poop goes
the butt in comments on Luke Bryan's social media?

Speaker 2 (25:39):
And it all started.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
The story starts back when, I don't know if you
guys remember, I played you his masterpiece, Fish Hunt Golf Dream.

Speaker 4 (25:47):
Oh, yeah. What a great song.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Speaking of AI, people.

Speaker 4 (25:50):
Were pretty convinced. It's a great day for me if
I can fish hunt, golf, dream.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
It's too many activities, Luke.

Speaker 6 (25:54):
One day.

Speaker 4 (25:55):
Drink. Oh, drink. Yeah. Oh, I have one dream. Oh, no,
let's no, let's let's hunt and drink. Oh, yeah. Right. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
Well, he's drinking less, I guess.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
But it's still it's a very full day of fishing
and hunting and golfing and drinking. But he has recently
unveiled a snippet of a new track that's going to
be on his upcoming album that it's called Signs. It
drops September 18th. And very simple, simple lyrics on this one.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
All right. Very instructional.

Speaker 2 (26:51):
So I'm going to just read you those lyrics.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
Run it back.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Slam goes the door.

Speaker 6 (26:57):
Right.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
Right.

Speaker 1 (26:58):
Flying goes the dust. Break goes the heart. To the
bar goes the truck. Buzz goes the neon. Jukebox goes Whitley.
There goes the love.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Up in smoke. So that's a longer one. And down
goes the whiskey.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Nursery rhyme.

Speaker 4 (27:12):
I see.

Speaker 9 (27:13):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
So now we're just saying obvious things.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Fart goes the butt.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
You know, we're just, yeah, it's giving very much like
elementary school, but you know, he's a nice man.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
He, you know, country girls shake it for me.

Speaker 1 (27:24):
There was a little more to that, but Hey, fart
goes the butt, Luke, whatever you, whatever you want to do.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
I was afraid that that lyric was coming. Like I thought,
I thought, I thought it really said that. I'm like, no,
he didn't.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
It's very like fly goes the plane, you know, tacos,
the radio person.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Just, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
Very simple. But hey, go off, Luke. If that's what
you wanted to make, you certainly accomplished it.

Speaker 1 (27:44):

free stuff on the show this morning. And let's do
blogs next. And waiting by the phone, why did somebody
get ghosted?

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Both on their way. We're back after Bruno. Yeah, they
talk better than they type. Talk about it, talk about it.
These are the radio blogs on the Fred Show. Like
for writing in our diaries, except we say them a lot,
we call them blogs. Kiki. Yes? Back from your Puerto
Rican vacation. Oh, yes.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
Call me Puerto Rican Key.

Speaker 2 (28:40):
I had a great time.

Speaker 5 (28:42):
Puerto Rican. I felt like a Puerto Rican princess.

Speaker 4 (28:44):
Was it annoying when you were down there that they
were like... How's Fred doing? We haven't seen him in
a minute. Yeah. He hasn't been coming through because he's
been going everywhere else. Yeah. Yeah. Was that hard for you?
It was.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
And I didn't understand. But now that you told me
that you are a Puerto Rican scammer at the casino,
I completely understand.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
They might be looking for me for other reasons and
I might not be going for those reasons.

Speaker 4 (29:04):
So.

Speaker 3 (29:06):
More like if I land, I'll be escorted into the
nearest San Juan prison.

Speaker 11 (29:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (29:10):
She saw the.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Statue of you, though.

Speaker 9 (29:12):
I know.

Speaker 5 (29:13):
And it was wild coming back because I was in
Midway Airport last night speaking Spanish for no reason.

Speaker 4 (29:21):
My girl, relax.

Speaker 5 (29:22):
Como se dice.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
Gracias.

Speaker 4 (29:23):
Oh, excuse me.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
I can't stand it when I do that. Oh, my.
You should have seen me.

Speaker 5 (29:31):
Like, OK, we had it. So on my vacation with
my aunts, it was all my aunts. So everyone's like
50 plus, retired, living their best life.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
And then there was me.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
And one of my aunts that or she was a
family friend that was on a trip with us. She
actually is fluent in Spanish. She's actually Puerto Rican. So
she knew the language and she was kind of our
guide throughout the whole trip. So I would see her just,
I mean, firing off everywhere we went, talking to everybody.

Speaker 6 (29:56):
Right.

Speaker 5 (29:56):
So I'm trying to get in there. So like when
somebody had me water, I'm like, gracias, senorita. I'm just
overdoing it. And when I came home, I was still
doing that last night. So forgive me if I just
randomly start speaking Spanish.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
You're at the airport. You're like, donde esta la avion? Oh,
I mean, oh my goodness.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
I'm so sorry.

Speaker 4 (30:11):
We're in America. I was just in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It's crazy.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
She walked in here and she said, hey, papi.

Speaker 10 (30:16):
Right.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
I'm like, hola. She called me papi.

Speaker 6 (30:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Right.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
And then she said, but it's not. You're not, though.
You know, Mexicana.

Speaker 4 (30:31):
I was there for four days.

Speaker 5 (30:32):
It's crazy. But anyway, one thing I kept thinking about
on this trip with the aunts was what is the
one phrase you never want to hear when you're on vacation?

Speaker 4 (30:42):
For me. I'm out of underwear. That part.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
That's a great one. You guys would never have that
problem because you've got four pair per day.

Speaker 5 (30:49):
I take every pair that I own. You know that.
But my new phrase is we can find a Walmart
when we get there. I never want to hear that
on vacation. And I want everyone who because there's a
certain group of people who are Walmart warriors and they
need to go to a Walmart in every city they visit.
And you don't need to do that. Like we are

(31:11):
in Puerto Rico. Why are we at Walmart? We spent
hours at Walmart in Puerto Rico.

Speaker 4 (31:15):
Is it really different?

Speaker 5 (31:17):
No, it's exactly the same. No, it's not. No, it's
the same, Paulina. My sister has this thing, like she
has to go to Walmart.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
Why are you going all the way to Puerto Rico
to go to Walmart? No, when I was in Hawaii.
I can see five of them right now.

Speaker 10 (31:29):
Right, right.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Out the window.

Speaker 7 (31:31):
Okay, to be fair, though, when I went to Walmart
in Hawaii, like they have like sections that you will
not find anywhere else.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Okay, in the States, in the States.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Well, what do they have, like sunscreen and boats? I mean,
like what?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
I mean, things that apply to people who live near
water that don't apply to everyone.

Speaker 7 (31:45):
You can get like the best attire, anything you need
from Hawaii.

Speaker 4 (31:49):
They're regional. So sure. Like they're going to sell products
at certain ones they wouldn't sell.

Speaker 6 (31:54):
OK.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
All right.

Speaker 5 (31:55):
You don't need to. My thing is, though, like, OK,
you knew you were going on vacation months ago. Why
is it every time we get into a new city,
you need to find the Walmart? And I know Helena
is not the only person that is like this. There
are people who go anywhere in the world and they
have to go to Walmart.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Girl, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
They come up with anything like any reason to go
to the local Walmart. And we spent hours in there.
And I was just like, I can't do this. Like
we have to be free from going to Walmart in
every city.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
And my sister does it. And I'm tired of it.
So that's my hot take. I'd never want to hear, oh,
we can find a Walmart when.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
We get there.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
No, we don't. We don't need to go to Walmart.
You don't.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
So stop it.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
Knock it off. Interesting. Thank you. Okay. Yes. Very passionate
about that. I guess I never really thought like... I've
gone to the McDonald's.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
If I've got time in a place, I'll stop into
McDonald's in a random country.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
That I'm where I am. Because they have menu items
that you can't get elsewhere. And I don't know. I
don't need to eat a cheeseburger. But I'll go in
there and be like, Italy.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
I haven't been in Italy in a while. Interesting menu
items that you can't get other places.

Speaker 2 (33:02):
The French one was so chic. I was like, excuse me.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
You could get like brie. It was like ornate inside.

Speaker 2 (33:10):
And like they had a whole vegetarian menu. There was curry.
I was like, what are we doing?

Speaker 4 (33:13):
See, that's interesting to me.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
Yeah, you can go and try new foods or whatever
on a menu. But like you don't need to go
to the normal whatever you can get at home. Like they,
them women lived it up in a Puerto Rican Walmart
and I was over it.

Speaker 4 (33:26):
So, no.

Speaker 5 (33:27):
And another thing when you talk about fast food, Puerto
Rico does not have fast food. You can attest to this.
You've been a couple times. Nothing moves fast in Puerto Rico.

Speaker 4 (33:35):
They're McDonald's.

Speaker 5 (33:36):
We sat in that line for two hours.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
They are moving on their own time.

Speaker 4 (33:39):
But you know what?

Speaker 2 (33:40):
I love it. We all need to move like them.
That's all I got to say.

Speaker 8 (33:43):
We do.

Speaker 11 (33:43):
We do.

Speaker 4 (33:43):
In the States.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
What was on the menu there?

Speaker 5 (33:46):
Oh, at McDonald's? Yeah. They had the regular degular. But
it just took forever. Every fast food place we went
to took forever. They're not moving quickly.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Which I love.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
You had an Airbnb, but most of these places when
I go, I'm going to a hotel.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
I'm not going to a Walmart.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
I'm not going to a McDonald's because I'm going to
the place and they got everything there.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
That's how I feel.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
But I guess if you have an Airbnb, then you
got to go get like snacks and water and you're
not going to carry that.

Speaker 4 (34:11):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
But yeah, we usually order our groceries. Like if we
have to do that, but I don't know if you
can do that there.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
If they're up on that. But yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
My, for me, it's my phrases. My mom likes to control.
She doesn't like, she thinks I overdress. So every, she's
always like, we're just doing casual. I'm like, how does
it affect you?

Speaker 5 (34:25):
If I pop off.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
In some heel.

Speaker 8 (34:27):
And I think it's just because she doesn't feel like
dressing up.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
And I'm like, girl, you do you. She's always like
everybody casual tonight.

Speaker 5 (34:32):
I'm like, no like relax let me put on my
little let me get my outfits off do you know
who you birthed like just let me be me yeah
that was my biggest gripe yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
That's crazy well this person's being funny like they're not
being mean to us but oh i'm sorry i'm back
in america lol puerto rico is america.

Speaker 1 (34:49):
And we also said about hawaii we are very familiar
i don't know but.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Many countries are being thrown out in that example so
i'm not anyway but yeah yeah I don't know who
said that.

Speaker 4 (34:58):
Did you say it?

Speaker 5 (34:59):
No, I said the Hawaii one.

Speaker 4 (35:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
And I think I said something, but I knew it
was coming. And yes, we are familiar.

Speaker 2 (35:04):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
But they're islands.

Speaker 9 (35:05):
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Life is for educating me.

Speaker 4 (35:08):
It's really cool. No, I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
This person was not being mean to us. But I
would say I was saying Italy. Someone else was saying
I'm speaking in Spanish, Spanish.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
Someone else saying French. So, yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
There's a lot going on over here.

Speaker 7 (35:19):
Yes, we are.

Speaker 4 (35:20):
Did you sing the San Juan song when you were there?

Speaker 5 (35:22):
Now you're just showing off now. What song? No, you
know the one.

Speaker 4 (35:26):
The one that... Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
San Juan, Mi Hijo, Capitola, Puerto Rico.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
I've played it here for like a week.

Speaker 5 (35:34):
I've never heard that in my life.

Speaker 4 (35:35):
Do you guys work here? I don't know. Wake up.

Speaker 10 (35:37):
Wake up.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
More Fred Show next. This is The Fred Show. It's
The Fred Show. Good morning.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
103.5 KISS FM. Chicago's number one music station. All this
Puerto Rico talk makes me want to send you to Mexico.

Speaker 12 (35:50):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (35:52):
Which is a totally different country. We are aware. I
just want you to be complete.

Speaker 13 (35:56):
We know.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
Some of us know geography sometimes.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
Right.

Speaker 3 (36:01):
I just want you to know. Seven days, six nights.
Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort and Spa. A thousand bucks travel credit.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
730.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
I'll give you today's keyword. Then you jump on the
iHeart app. Make sure you're tuned in to 1035 KISS FM.
And then leave us a talkback message.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Your name. Where are you listening? Chica Go. And my
Chica Go buddies are here today. Did Chica go to
Puerto Rico too?

Speaker 2 (36:20):
Chica Go. Chica was at Texas Roadhouse last night. And
Chica might go to his cabin.

Speaker 4 (36:25):
I don't know. Oh, wow. All right. Well, you know what, Jason?
You've earned it. Take a few days off. Head to
Puerto Rico, Kiki's homeland. Yes. They speak Spanish there. It's America.
Leave America. 730. Paulina will tell you to leave. Yes.
You're leaving America. That's right.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
But you're not.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
Yes. The mainland.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
The mainland is what you meant, and everyone knows it.
Except for that person. Teddy Swims, you see on September 25th.
Got those tickets this morning as well. And Vegas, our
iHeartRadio Music Festival. I believe that's around 9.

Speaker 4 (36:58):
You can win. BTS will be there. And just announced
Smashing Pumpkins, Sierras, Stella Lefty. The lineup goes on and
on for days.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
And we'll get you there this morning it's the fred
show i don't want to be excluded because then it's
like people don't like me or don't care but i
also i also don't want the obligation of having to.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
Attend uh you want your cake and.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
You want to eat right it's 100 i love it
hey i want validation that's right that i'm not a
piece of crap but i also i also don't necessarily
want to have to talk.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
To people fred show is on i mean Come on.

Speaker 3 (37:33):
Oh, yeah. By the way, shout out to Bella Hameen.
With the song, Before I Could Even.

Speaker 4 (37:42):
Ask For It.

Speaker 2 (37:42):
She's so on it.

Speaker 3 (37:43):
In my email. Hey, in case you wanted to play this.
That's production.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Hell yeah, girl.

Speaker 4 (37:50):
That's how it's done. You anticipate my needs.

Speaker 2 (37:54):
Read my mind.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
Do what's up. You know what? It's a while.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
I was always so jealous. There's one radio personality, big time.
I'm not going to say who it is. I respect
the hell out of this person.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
I do.

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Has a person stand next to him that gives him
funny lines to say. Slides it over to him on paper.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
What? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (38:13):
And hey, he can deliver the line, so it works.
I have no issue with that. A lot of funny
people that you know did not write the things that
they're saying, and the person who did write them can't
perform them as well as they did, so it works.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
Hmm. Right.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
Because the art is oftentimes in how you do it.
Like you could give me a joke and I won't
tell it as funny of a way as Dave Chappelle would.

Speaker 4 (38:33):
I just won't.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
I think Dave Chappelle has a woman that writes for him,
last I heard. And of course, you know, he's brilliant himself.
But yeah, no, there's somebody who just, that's what I need.
I need someone to stand right here and make me funny.
But they can't, we have to CGI them out of
the videos so that people can't tell that someone's like,
here you go. Here you go, daddy. Here's something funny
to say. Because you're not that funny.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
Here you go. So anyway, I need that. I need
that in my life. Here you go.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
That's what my mom does. Our whole family can't stand it.
I'll whisper a joke to her and then she says
it to the whole room. And she's like, well, more
people needed to hear it. I'm like, I just whispered
that just for you.

Speaker 4 (39:07):
Yeah. I'm like, girl.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
She takes credit.

Speaker 11 (39:10):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 9 (39:11):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
But we all know. And she'll be like, yeah, I
do do that. I'm like, okay, girl.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
We'll get to waiting by the phone in just a second.
Why did somebody get ghosted from the Hall of Fame?
Showbiz Shelly, $ 1, 050. The Entertainment Report's coming up, too. What
are you working on?

Speaker 2 (39:24):
The internet.

Speaker 1 (39:25):
I think we have PTSD maybe from Dolly, but Celine
Dion posted sitting on a fence, and the internet could
not handle it.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Everybody needed her to get down.

Speaker 4 (39:34):
I did something. I think I did something terrible, and
I think I need to get it off my chest. Well,
I mean, I just.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Heard the announcer wheel of fortune's in a little trouble
now no one's really clear on what he did something
about an airplane right.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Yeah we talked about it yesterday he um we don't
know what he did but for.

Speaker 3 (39:59):
The record i wasn't here yesterday so it wasn't i
just want to be clear for anyone listening like she's
like no shade like grandpa we talked about it yesterday
I don't know what you said yesterday because I was
sick in bed.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
Anyway, what did you say?

Speaker 1 (40:13):
So a passenger reported him and the captain had police
waiting for him when he was there. Worst part of
the story for me is that he was wearing company merch,
which is not a good time.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
He had that Wheel of Fortune jacket on.

Speaker 4 (40:26):
Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah, but.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
So, look, I don't want to... If he didn't do anything,
that's great. If he's a nice man, I think he's
been there for a while, good for him. I may
have had my agent, the moment that I saw the story,
the very second that it broke, send my demo over
to the Wheel of Fortune.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
No, they didn't have a backup, so I mean.

Speaker 3 (40:47):
And I saw the email confirmation that the guy saw it.

Speaker 4 (40:51):
He's like, well, we don't know what we're doing here yet,
but OK.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Well, we need I mean, we need a sample.

Speaker 4 (40:56):
I know that's it.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
That's the funny part is the funny part is I
haven't watched Wheel of Fortune in so long. Sorry, Ryan,
that I need to watch it to like see what
the stick is. I just desperately want to be either
the best job in all of television is the host
of Wheel of Fortune or The Price is Right. Or
if you're Steve Harvey family feud because he's just so
good at it. The next best job is the announcer

(41:20):
for any of those shows, in my opinion.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
Oh, yeah. So, yeah.

Speaker 3 (41:24):
I mean, the dude hasn't even been fired.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
Like, he still very much works there. Probably going to
work it out. He'll be fine. But, I mean, I
couldn't even read the whole subject line. I'm like, Matt! Matt! Matt!
Get in there!

Speaker 1 (41:37):
They're trying to erase him from, like, the whole season
right now.

Speaker 4 (41:40):
I know they are.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
I know they have to go back and do them
all over because Ryan does, like, 50 in a day
and then goes back to Italy.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Didn't you say that happened like when Angie left and
started her own show?

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Like people before, like the body was cold.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
Oh my God. Oh my God.

Speaker 5 (41:53):
Girl, they do that to us every day.

Speaker 9 (41:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (41:55):
Yeah. Okay. I'm going to tell you right now. I can,
I can tell you who they are.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
They lined up out the door.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
But the most, if there was any, any rumbling, like
if any kind of rumbling, if something happened to me,
oh my God, I can tell you right now who'd
be on the list. Oh, they, they'd call me and go,
I'm so sorry. And then boom, boom, they'd be in there.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Okay, so then no harm, no foul.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
The sad part is I've told people recently that I'm sorry,
not knowing about their change in position or lack of position,
not knowing that 15 minutes later somebody was going to
call and say that it was us.

Speaker 4 (42:26):
And I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (42:27):
Yeah, not a great look.

Speaker 4 (42:29):
I didn't know.

Speaker 8 (42:30):
I know.

Speaker 4 (42:30):
You are Appiana. It's happened more than once.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
Where i'm like oh dude that sucks i'm really sorry
and then as i'm hitting send ring ring ring hey
um yeah so what.

Speaker 4 (42:40):
Do you think about and no one will.

Speaker 13 (42:42):
Believe that you didn't know and i honestly i didn't
i didn't but anyway so i'm sorry to this man
like if it works out great i hope you can
i hope it's a misunderstanding and you can continue on
your path you don't no i don't want.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
You don't hope that for one minute i do hope.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
That i don't want bad things to happen to people
now if something happens and that position is open well
i'm available.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
Hit up your co-worker ask for the end.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
Oh he's never getting it from him you know how
many times ryan's not helping me you kidding me absolutely
not are.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
You waiting by the phone.

Speaker 3 (43:12):
Right he's been i've been waiting by the phone for
ryan's secrets my whole life Me too.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
I mean, what you want to do with him?

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Girl, anything.

Speaker 5 (43:19):
Ryan called me. And I, by the way, I'm not leaving.

Speaker 4 (43:26):
I mean, I would do both jobs. It'd be fine. Yeah. Wait, yeah.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Wait a minute.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
It'd be fun.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Well, no, because apparently they not truly didn't do like
the 10 episodes a day for a week, like three
times a year. And then they're done because Ryan's very
busy guy. So that's how they had to do it.
So that's what I would do. But I'll practice and
then I'll come in with like a full audition. But
I felt really bad about it. But it's like, hey,
I was probably late. There was probably somebody who knew

(43:52):
like has friends at the police department, you know, like
Mario Lopez, I bet was in there before me.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (43:59):
You know, he was.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
You know, Mario Lopez is in there before me.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
Ryan probably wants to do that, too.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
He probably does.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
He probably does. He's probably going to be like, no,
I'll handle it. Yeah, we don't. Certainly not that guy.

Speaker 2 (44:10):
The whole show is just going to.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
Yeah, exactly. And now me.

Speaker 2 (44:15):
I could see it. And I love that for him.

Speaker 4 (44:17):
So, yeah. So I just I feel bad. I had
to get it off my chest.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
But I I have inquired about their interest in me
as the next voice of Wheel of Fortune, even though
the man is still working there.

Speaker 5 (44:29):
Hey, it's your man, sis.

Speaker 3 (44:30):
Hey, it's not show friends. I don't know the guy.
It's show business.

Speaker 4 (44:35):
Hello? But anyway, it'll be very exciting if I get
the job.

Speaker 3 (44:39):
Ever been left waiting.

Speaker 4 (44:41):
By the phone? It's the Fred Show. Hey, Wes, good morning.
Welcome to the program. How are you? Pretty good, dude.

Speaker 3 (44:49):
Doing all right, man. What's going on with this woman, Kelsey?
We got to know everything. How did you meet?

Speaker 4 (44:53):
Tell us about any dates that you've been on and
where things are now.

Speaker 10 (44:56):
All right.

Speaker 6 (44:57):
Well, I've been waiting by the phone to really get
back in touch with this girl, Kelsey. We met on Hinge,
and we went out to dinner, and I'm confused.

Speaker 10 (45:08):
Because I thought dinner was fun. I thought it was great.
I thought we were really having a great time together.
On the date, we even started talking about another date.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
And, you know, I'm not one.

Speaker 6 (45:19):
To really kiss and tell, but, you know, we had
a little kiss when I walked into her car.

Speaker 10 (45:25):
And I thought it was good. I thought it was
a great time.

Speaker 6 (45:29):
Things were going well, and now she's... not responding so
i i'm not sure what's going on i.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
Would think this was all good i mean any date
that winds up with you walking someone back to their
car and then they give you a little kiss at
the end i mean they could they could easily just
say no i'm good you know and leave and and
then they could you know turn their cheek or whatever
i mean i don't know i i would i would
walk away from that date with that ending and think
that things are going someplace i can understand why you're
confused exactly Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
Well, let's call Kelsey just a second. We're going to
play a song. We'll come back and you'll be on
the phone. We're going to ask these questions on your behalf.
At some point, you're welcome to jump in on the call.
And the hope is that we can straighten this out
and then set you up on another date that we
pay for, which we just did recently.

Speaker 4 (46:08):
So it is possible. Good luck, man. Thank you.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
Good morning secrets. Mirabelle, Cancun, seven days, six nights. They
got six pools, guys. They got an ocean. They got Mexico.
Cancun's got Mexico.

Speaker 4 (46:19):
It's happening. If you'd like to go. What? Cancun's got Mexico. Yeah.
Or does Mexico's Got Cancun, I guess. What does it mean?

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Mexico's Got Cancun. I like that.

Speaker 4 (46:29):
Okay, Mexico's Got Cancun and Secrets Mirabelle, and we got
you on this trip. Here's what you do. Jump on
the iHeart app. Wherever you can hear us, then tune in.
If you're not already on the iHeart app listening, click
on the red talkback mic and leave us a message.

Speaker 3 (46:42):
Your name, where you're listening, and the keyword today is... Lifeguard. Lifeguard.
I don't have my Vanna White here. Yeah, Wheel of Fortune.
I don't have my... See, I'm already just working myself
into it. My friend Vanna and Ryguy. I don't have
Jason here to hand me the envelope, and I don't
need to dramatically... unseal it the way that I typically do.

(47:03):
But your name, where are you listening?

Speaker 4 (47:04):
Lifeguard.

Speaker 3 (47:05):
Leave us a talkback message. Enter as many times as
you want with the new keyword each day. And the
more times you enter, the better chance you have to win.
It's the Fred show.

Speaker 4 (47:12):
Hey, Wes.

Speaker 10 (47:13):
Yes, sir.

Speaker 3 (47:14):
Let's call Kelsey. You guys, you met on the dating
app hinge. went on a date you felt like the
date went really well you had a good time good
conversation talked about another date uh and then you walked
into her car and you kissed her at the end
of the date little kiss and that's all good stuff
i i would probably think that i was getting another
date after all of that but you've reached out to
kelsey i assume a couple of different times and she

(47:35):
hasn't responded to you you feel like you're being ghosted
and you want to know why that's right.

Speaker 4 (47:39):
All right let's call her now good luck wes.

Speaker 10 (47:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (47:48):
Hello. Hi, is this Kelsey?

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Yeah, this is Kelsey.

Speaker 6 (47:53):
Who's this?

Speaker 4 (47:53):
Hey, Kelsey. Good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling
from the Fred show, the morning radio show. And I
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now. And I would need your permission to continue
with the call. Can we chat for just a couple
of minutes? You can hang up anytime.

Speaker 10 (48:06):
Yeah, OK.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
I guess that's fine.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
Thank you very much. We're calling on behalf of a
guy who says he met you on Hinge and you
guys recently went out. His name is Wes. Do you
recall meeting and going on a date with Wes? Yeah,
I did.

Speaker 8 (48:19):
I met Wes on a dating app and we went
out for dinner.

Speaker 4 (48:22):
Yeah, so we talked to him just a second ago
and he kind of told us all that and he
felt like the date was a success. But he says
he's reached out for another date and you aren't responding
to him. So what's going on with that?

Speaker 8 (48:32):
Well, you know, I was kind of feeling for him. Like,
you know, he was putting out some good vibes. So,
you know, when he walked me to my car, I
did give him a kiss.

Speaker 5 (48:41):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (48:43):
Yeah, we heard about the kiss. I mean, that's usually
a good thing, right?

Speaker 2 (48:45):
Yeah, you know, it was a really nice kiss.

Speaker 8 (48:48):
But, you know, afterwards, he actually told me, like, oh, look,
you parked right next to me. And, you know, which
was fine and all, but I realized his car.
This is awful, but I realized this car had a
lot of obnoxious bumper stickers, and I obviously can't remember
all of them, but I remember being just so turned

(49:09):
off when I walked by it on the way to
the restaurant.

Speaker 4 (49:12):
Okay, so first of all, I have an issue with
bumper stickers. Okay.

Speaker 3 (49:15):
I don't even, we were going to get to what
they were, but like, I don't, I don't like a
bumper sticker. I don't like a bumper sticker. I think
they're clutter. I think it's messing up the paint on
the car. I don't know why anyone, I've never been
so committed to anything in my life that I needed
to put a bumper sticker on my car about it. However,
these obviously stood out to you. So can you give
us an example of what some of these bumper stickers were?

Speaker 8 (49:37):
Well, one of the stickers was a girl on all fours,
the two hands pulling her braided pigtails.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
And oh, my God.

Speaker 8 (49:44):
The other one said, I love. Oh, God, I can't
believe I'm going to say this over the radio. But
another one said, I love.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Did he have the one that said We were just
talking about this The one that said Grass, ass, or
what is it? Grass, grass, or ass Nobody rides for
free Did he have that?

Speaker 4 (50:14):
Because if he.

Speaker 3 (50:14):
Didn't have that one Then he's not a true connoisseur
Of the bumper sticker Oh.

Speaker 4 (50:19):
My god Wow.

Speaker 8 (50:21):
Well, he didn't have that one, but it definitely was
enough to make me see some red flags.

Speaker 4 (50:27):
That is crazy.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
What does that mean to have a sexual bumper sticker position?

Speaker 3 (50:31):
You know everybody can see these, right? Everyone can see.
I forgot to mention that Wes is here, the bumper
sticker collector. I'm very forgetful. Wes, what are we doing?

Speaker 4 (50:42):
Why? I don't know.

Speaker 10 (50:45):
I never thought much of them.

Speaker 4 (50:46):
I thought it was just funny. Maybe you should. Maybe
you should think much of them. Really? Someone getting their
hair pulled?

Speaker 10 (50:53):
I mean, it's sketchy.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
It can't be. I don't know. They were a gift
from a friend. I like them. I don't think there's
anything wrong with them. A friend gave you these. Wow.

Speaker 3 (51:09):
I can see that you want to put bumper stickers
about your interests.

Speaker 4 (51:13):
Some people are like.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
political or some people are like i like fishing or
you know i didn't but apparently you like that so
it's important that everybody knows that i mean i.

Speaker 12 (51:21):
Don't see a huge problem with it but i mean
i clearly could clearly.

Speaker 10 (51:26):
Yeah not not really i think they're.

Speaker 12 (51:28):
Funny i mean i you gotta you gotta have a
sense of humor and not take things so seriously.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
Yeah talk to us about the isle of right yeah
would you tell me more about that or does it
i think it speaks for itself kind of man.

Speaker 12 (51:41):
That was a gift from uh my fraternity brother um
i've had that one on for a couple years someone
gave me a bumper sticker that said that i would
either think they were being hysterical like like funny or
or i would be concerned about my image but he
gave it to me.

Speaker 5 (51:58):
You want to ride around in it Can you imagine
getting out of his car at the gas station? There's
another one.

Speaker 4 (52:05):
People are supposed to ride in that car with you.

Speaker 3 (52:08):
And I guess you've spelled out merit badges, exactly what
you're into.

Speaker 4 (52:12):
I don't think.

Speaker 10 (52:17):
I mean, I don't think it's meant to be taken
so literally, so seriously. It's silly.

Speaker 4 (52:22):
It's stupid. I don't know.

Speaker 10 (52:24):
It's not something I think is meant to be taken seriously.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
Okay, so Kelsey, you see, you weren't supposed to take
it seriously.

Speaker 2 (52:30):
He's fine.

Speaker 8 (52:33):
Yeah, I'm so sorry that I didn't take something like
that seriously.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Like, come on. That's just so gross.

Speaker 8 (52:39):
Like, the fact that you can't even see how disgusting
that is, especially when you're out in public, is extremely worrisome.

Speaker 3 (52:44):
I mean, at least get yourself, like, a classy one,
like the 26.2. You know, so we can all know
that you run a marathon, or you ran a marathon
at one point. Or, you know, or how about my honor,
my kid's an honor student, or whatever.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
Coexist one, you know, with all the religious symbols.

Speaker 10 (53:00):
I'm a fan.

Speaker 4 (53:00):
That's a nice one.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
How about a nice rainbow flag so we can be
an ally?

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Or do you have those too? I don't think I
have a rainbow flag.

Speaker 10 (53:11):
I am an ally, but I don't think I have
that one.

Speaker 4 (53:13):
It's not giving.

Speaker 10 (53:15):
But I think that... I think that, you know, I
think it's like, you.

Speaker 6 (53:21):
Know that people put like dumb, like jokey ones on
the back.

Speaker 11 (53:25):
Of their cars.

Speaker 4 (53:25):
Yes, there's a certain kind of person that does. You're right.
And you're that guy. And I guess it's not for Kelsey.
It's a unique sense of humor where your pervy jokes
need to be plastered to your car so that all
can know. right you know your sense of humor it's
it's a very unique individual and you know i i
don't think that that individual is what kelsey's looking for

(53:48):
i don't i mean can you imagine pulling up to
the function you know with all of that.

Speaker 7 (53:53):
The guy peeing on the whatever the opposite team like
if you drive a ford it's like peeing on the
chevy logo you know i mean okay look kelsey i'll
ask the question i know the answer but would you
like to.

Speaker 4 (54:05):
Go out with him again Oh, hell no. Sorry, but no.
That's a no for her. You know what, Wes?

Speaker 3 (54:11):
You express yourself however you need to, but I just
think you've got to know that when you do something
like that, that people are going to have an opinion
about it.

Speaker 4 (54:18):
That's fair.

Speaker 10 (54:19):
That's fair. All right.

Speaker 4 (54:21):
Well, he's a reasonable perv. Yeah, right. Exactly. All right.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
Hey, look, Kelsey, thank you for answering, and good luck
to you, and Wes, good luck to you as well.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
Thank you. Kaelin's Entertainment Report is on the Fred Show.

Speaker 1 (54:33):
Lizzo speaking out after a judge dismissed a discrimination and
harassment lawsuit against her touring company. Remember Asha Daniels, who
was a wardrobe assistant on the European leg of her
special tour back in 2023, claimed several members of her
team dealt with sexual and racial harassment, disability.

Speaker 2 (54:51):
Discrimination and more.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Lizzo denied the allegations and she was actually dropped from
the case in December of 2024. Now a U.S.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
District judge.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Dismissed the entire thing, saying that some of the behavior was, quote, inappropriate, unprofessional,
but didn't reach levels of harassment. She posted a video
on the Gram saying she's relieved her team won the case.
She also shared she's never met this woman in person
and claims that the whole thing was ridiculous. I mean,
we already knew this, but Dolly Parton kept her cancer
diagnosis private because she didn't want to worry about or

(55:21):
she didn't want to worry people or have people worry
about her. This is what her niece, Jada Starr, says.
it wasn't revealed remember to the public until after her
death and the type of cancer we still don't know
and she says that dolly kept it real private didn't
want to worry anyone and she was also in shock
says losing her aunt was really difficult very surreal adding
i can't remember a life without her but she knows

(55:43):
dolly would be telling them now start drying it up
and start getting back to work and love each other
real hard just days after her death Her niece helped
honor her at the Grand Ole Opry by performing The Orchard,
a song they had previously recorded together. And I have
so many more plans to tell you guys in the
coming days about what she.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
Has planned for us to give us a treat after
she is gone.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
And she just she cared so much about her fans,
about the world and obviously her charitable efforts.

Speaker 2 (56:10):
Things that she's done are still changing the world. So
RIP Miss Dolly.

Speaker 1 (56:14):
Speaking of Dolly, after that heartbreaking loss, we all have
severe PTSD.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
I don't know if you guys do, but I'm just.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
Like, we have to protect everyone that is held so
dear in our hearts. And so when Celine Dion posted
a photo of herself sitting on a fence, people were really.

Speaker 2 (56:31):
Really upset.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
And the.

Speaker 1 (56:34):
I'm going to need you to go back inside. There's
something in the air. I say this with much love
and care. Get your ass back inside right now. Don't
make unnecessary journeys, Celine. Don't take risks on treacherous roads.
Right now is not the time to be playing on fences,
or this is not the time for ski-daddling.

Speaker 2 (56:50):
For the love of humanity, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
One of those pro-mobiles that has the big glass, like
the snow globe on wheels.

Speaker 5 (56:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:56):
We got to put her in there, and then she
doesn't get to come out.

Speaker 5 (56:59):
Bubble wrap, my girl.

Speaker 4 (57:00):
That's what I'm saying. Because there's so few people.

Speaker 1 (57:02):
People that we can all agree on and that we
want to protect and like we really need it especially
during this time so people are not playing about Celine
get off the fence okay girl we need you and
lastly I just want to play for you guys Martha
Stewart talking about why and how this whole friendship did
you have that clip Fred I didn't warn you before
you know I do thank you thank you you're.

Speaker 4 (57:21):
Always I'm on top of it you are you're always
so in.

Speaker 1 (57:23):
Sync with me but she is talking about why she
became friends with Snoop and I actually felt like Oh
my gosh, this is literally how I feel. And I
had to look up her birthday two days before. So
either of us could be saying this, but listen.

Speaker 9 (57:37):
I invited Snoop to be on my show because he
was a rapper and I was attracted to rappers.

Speaker 2 (57:43):
I like rap music.

Speaker 9 (57:44):
I especially like Eminem and I could never get Eminem
to come on any, you know, he would not accept
any invitation.

Speaker 2 (57:51):
I still haven't met him.

Speaker 9 (57:52):
I tried to meet him at the Super Bowl when
he appeared with Snoop and Dr.

Speaker 4 (57:55):
Dre a couple years ago. And I missed.

Speaker 9 (57:58):
I was walking around the stadium to get down to
where he was because I was invited. And it was
too late by the time I got there. They were
already out on the field performing. But that's how I
met Snoop on my show. Just peel the skin off. Oh,
you want me to take the skin?

Speaker 4 (58:12):
Excuse me.

Speaker 9 (58:15):
He hit it off. He was just a delight. And
we had our own show for three years. We still
work together quite a bit. We have a gin, still
gin now. I work with him and Dr.

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Dre.

Speaker 9 (58:25):
And he got me to come and be with him
on the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (58:28):
Summer and winter. And now we're going to do LA.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
It's a, you know, a nice friendship.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
It's pretty wild when you're at a point in fame
where you're like, eh, I don't... Martha Stewart can buzz off.

Speaker 4 (58:37):
Not interested.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
It's so Eminem.

Speaker 4 (58:39):
I don't have time for that.

Speaker 2 (58:40):
Right. And I'm just like, she's me. I am her.
I love rappers. And Eminem, why won't you respond to us?
But seriously, I think he can meet Martha. Make her day.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
She's been walking around SoFi Stadium ever since trying to
find you.

Speaker 4 (58:52):
Just meet up with her, okay? I need to verify
the Eminem story.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
And someone told me this once upon a time, and
I can't remember who it was, and I don't know
if it's true.

Speaker 4 (58:59):
But my understanding was that he.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
The very first media stop he ever did was at
new york in new york and so like like you
know the artists come around and when they're like little
baby artists and they meet people they go city to
city and they try and get people to play their
song and the label brings them around hey this is
you know so and so uh and how many have
come through here and we're like okay cool then they're
like sabrina carpenter a month ago it's like hey you
know paul didn't you give sabrina carpenter a tour was

(59:23):
that you who did you or was it uh chapel
roan who did you like give a two or two
one-on-one I thought you did.

Speaker 1 (59:29):
I interviewed Chapel, and Sabrina came here.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (59:33):
She was so sweet.

Speaker 3 (59:33):
I thought you walked somebody around here, and then they
wound up being, like, wildly famous a year later.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
I like that story. I like that.

Speaker 4 (59:39):
I'm sticking with it.

Speaker 1 (59:40):
When I interviewed Chapel, I had no idea who she was.
And two weeks later, maybe you're thinking of that. She
was Chapel. But this guy from the label, somebody from
the label, hmm.

Speaker 3 (59:49):
This is a long time ago they told me this,
but they met him in the lobby of the radio
station in New York, and they're like, great, we're going
to be doing a lot of this together.

Speaker 4 (59:54):
And he said, no, we're not.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
I love him so much.

Speaker 4 (59:56):
This is the only one I'm ever going to do.

Speaker 6 (59:58):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (59:58):
And they're like, yeah, okay. Like, you're an absolute nobody.
You'll do whatever we tell you if you want to
sell records. And he was like, no, this is the
last time I'm doing this. Like, one time.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
And they're like, okay, whatever.

Speaker 9 (01:00:08):
Well.

Speaker 4 (01:00:10):
He's still going.

Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
But like, I guess if you hear him on the
radio or see him, he agreed, he agreed to do it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
Right. Like himself. He said, I'll do that. I want
to do this. And then no one made him do
it again.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Oh, you're not making him do anything, but he should
meet Martha. I mean, and he should have met Dolly
because Dolly.

Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
Wrote him that letter. She wanted to meet him. Follow us,
by the way, on.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
I have it somewhere. I need to find it.

Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
The clip of Snoop on here a few years ago
when he rapped Nothing But a G Thing, and we
all sat there and watched him do it. And it
was one of the most surreal moments of my whole life.
It's just wild to hear a song that you grew
up with, and the man who made it is sitting
across from you doing it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
And it's like, wow, you sound like you.

Speaker 6 (01:00:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
He put your name in it.

Speaker 4 (01:00:55):
He did. We have to find it. We have it somewhere.
I don't know where it is. Paulina, you're in charge
of the archives.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
I'm on the case.

Speaker 4 (01:01:01):
It's somewhere. I don't know. Showbiz Shelley, $ 1, 050, five questions. Peter,
you get paid.

Speaker 6 (01:01:05):
855-591-10355.

Speaker 4 (01:01:09):
I wonder if Fred sounds like one of those wacky,
stereotypical radio hosts to his haters, because I don't know
how people hate this show. Well, I think that was
very nice.

Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
That's really nice. There's lots of ways to hate us.
I think that was nice.

Speaker 6 (01:01:22):
Great.

Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
We hear about them every day. Yeah, it's like, let
me count the ways. The Fred Show is on. Here
it is. Snoop Dogg in the studio. And I'm like,
I'm going to play you an instrumental of one of
your songs. To which he goes, well, let me hear
some of it. And then he goes, what year was this?
I don't know. You made it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Put down the joint.

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
Do you make it? Yeah, right here. One, two, three,
and tip of four.

Speaker 11 (01:01:47):
Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr. Dre is at the door.
Ready to make an entrance, so back on up. Because
you know we about to rip it up. So get
into the microphone first so I can bust like a bubble.
Nothing in Long Beach together.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
That was us, like, genuinely freaking out. Everyone's freaking out. No,
like literally, I was so close the whole time. I
was bawling.

Speaker 3 (01:02:04):
Like it was like, I don't know. Maybe this is,
this sounds like the song.

Speaker 4 (01:02:08):
So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Maybe this isn't great audio for other people to hear.
But just, I guess our memory of watching him do
it was just so surreal.

Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
Now you know you in trouble.

Speaker 11 (01:02:17):
Cause ain't nothing but a G thing, baby. Too low
down G's know it.

Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
Crazy. And death row is the label that pays me.
Let me try to get my name in the song.
My name's Fred, by the way. If you were wondering,
he did have the weed guy with him. He had

(01:02:47):
his weed roller guy. He was one security guard, Snoop,
and the weed guy.

Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
Oh, it was loud smelling.

Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
With a fanny pack. And then he tried to light up.
And then, remember, they were like, well, no, the sprinklers
are going to go off.

Speaker 4 (01:02:58):
Oh, okay. So then he didn't. It was very nice
of him not to. It's the Fred show. Do you
have what it takes to battle showbiz Shelly in the
showbiz showdown? Good morning.

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
I remember that day. That was fun.

Speaker 4 (01:03:13):
That was a good day. That was a good day. Jordan,
good morning. How you doing?

Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Good.

Speaker 12 (01:03:19):
How are you?

Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
Jordan, welcome to the program. Give me a fun fact
about you.

Speaker 8 (01:03:24):
Some facts about me is I am going to Florida
next month.

Speaker 4 (01:03:28):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:03:30):
That's very exciting. You know, you could win a trip
to Mexico if you listen to us.

Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
Just heads up.

Speaker 2 (01:03:34):
Listen to us while you're there.

Speaker 4 (01:03:35):
Yeah, and listen to us while you're there. What part
are you going to? Clearwater. All right. Well, yeah, listen
to us anyway on the IR radio app.

Speaker 11 (01:03:43):
It's all good.

Speaker 4 (01:03:44):
Five questions, $ 1, 050, 1,209 wins, only 82 losses, all-time 15
straight wins for Shell. Are you ready?

Speaker 6 (01:03:53):

Speaker 4 (01:03:53):

Speaker 11 (01:04:44):
A cat.

Speaker 4 (01:04:47):

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
And Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's new pet Wendy made
her modeling debut in a new campaign for Tommy Hilfiger.
What kind of animal is Wendy?

Speaker 4 (01:05:34):
A dog.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
A dog is right. That is a win. That's a
five and that's a win. Hey, Jordan, a three is
a good score, but you have to say it. My
name is Jordan. I got showed up on a showdown
and you can't hang with a gorilla.

Speaker 4 (01:05:44):
Go.

Speaker 10 (01:05:46):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:05:46):
My name is Jordan.

Speaker 8 (01:05:47):
I got showed up on the showdown and I can't
hang with the gorilla.

Speaker 4 (01:05:53):
That was good.

Speaker 14 (01:05:53):
Jordan, you can't hang with the gorillas.

Speaker 5 (01:06:06):
Are you okay? I was worried.

Speaker 4 (01:06:13):
