She's got to wait.
Speaker 2 (00:04):

Good morning, Hi, Jason Brown, Hello, Rufio, Hi pull Hi, Kean,

we'll do trending stories blogs as well. What are you
working on?
Speaker 3 (00:39):
Kay We are talking justin Timberlake, Deadpool and Wolverine and Avengers.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
So who the hell am I? I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
I don't either.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I don't know myself.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I feel like I knew you. Yeah, I don't know
you anymore, especially after this weekend all your Shenani agains.
My god, Yeah, Caylin, I mean, who knew? Who knew
she'd be the one that we were constantly having to
bail out of jail, constantly repeatedly multiple times to Kayla
stop it. Some people knew we had to go back
and then get it and get her and then go
back and it was unbelievable. Yeah, why you always breaking
(01:13):
the law?
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Yeah, it's crazy. We made it though, we're a little tired,
but we made it. We made it. We went to
tropical locale Marion in Carbondale. That's right, this weekend got it?
It sounds very fancy, doesn't it. We say the way
that Paulina says it. Marion. It was so nice. It
was so nice that everyone should go this time of year.
(01:38):
I mean it's times of year. Did you want fun though?
On the little trip? You wanted an adventure? It was fun.
There was alcohol, there was there was bodies of water.
There was foodish, there was more foods, I mean god gambling.
(02:01):
There was scantily clad men and women. I mean those
men and women were us, but I mean there were
we were scantily clad, swim shoot hit the bar. Yeah.
There was dancing, yeah yeah, I mean they were all
kinds of festivities. What was everyone's weeks? So I took
everyone to uh to a VIP weekend getaway in uh Marion, Carbondale, Illinois,
(02:26):
Southern Illinois, which it had. It was better than you
guys thought it was. It was way better than you
guys thought it was going to be, wasn't it. Yes see,
I got you. I knew that it would be fun.
And we flew on Contour airlines, semi private, lots of
legroom for most of us, and picture seat correctly. It
was so nice. Well, everyone's highlight. We'll start with Kiki.
(02:46):
What was your highlight of the weekend?
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Oh boy, there were so many, but for real, through
the cheese cards. I've never had a cheese card like
a Merry owned cheese. They do it something specialist. The
cheese cars down there. Okay, yeah, I'm going back just
for that.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay, wow, Okay. Was this one of the wineries or
was this.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
It was at all the time everywhere, which is crazy everywhere.
Cheese curt Yes, it's like they send a memo out
like this is how we do cheese curts in carbon diale.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
They all had the same season. Yeah, the breading was
all the same. I will say, you guys eat like
you've never eaten before in your lives. All of you
like not I mean rufio okay, but like they brought it.
They'll bring out food and it's just like it's like
like at one point somebody from the group was like, hey,
these guys, like, do you feed them? I mean no, actually,
(03:38):
absolutely ravenous group of people, like like family style, and
I don't think we're allowed to do that anymore because
it's just you guys just like, oh my god. Like
they brought a huge tray of like every appetizer they
had place and I'm not even kidding you. I've never
seen a group of people attacking I mean it was
like as if I hadn't fed you all weekend.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
It was a little Judge Christopher.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
It was every every kind of fried food possible, and
by the time it got to me it was it
was crumbs. It was like, and then Ruvio was even
trying to eat the crumbs. Yes, it was. I mean
it was anyway, Kaitlin, the weekend of our frendshow Family Vacation.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
You know that I'm a hoe for a pontoon or
platoon as Paulina.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Was calling it, saying, We're going on a platoon today.
It's a pontoon boat.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Potato potato plontoon platoon. Yeah, that's my vibe.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
And I looked over at Jason and he's like, for
the first time, I don't feel any anxiety.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
So he was calm, so I could calm, and so
it was good.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
We're stressed all weekend. No, oh, I was going to
say I didn't. It didn't seem to you were. Oh No,
it was just like I just felt like I could
be free. Water. Yeah, yeah, beautiful. Okay, that was your highlight.
Feeling free on the water. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (04:51):
That.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
We went to a winery that made their own olive
oil and it was amazing, the beast thing I think
I've ever tasted about. Yeah, and all the wine, like
every type of wine.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yes, it was the wine. It was fun too.
Speaker 8 (05:06):
Yeah, Rufio highlight, oh Man, Definitely that fried chicken the
last Yes, all you can eat family style, the chicken
and dumplings, the mad potatoes.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Even the coleslaw was fire. It was so good.
Speaker 9 (05:24):
And the apple butter for the biscuits, Oh my god,
I tell you guys, it's like they've never eaten before.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
I also love the wine. I'm not a wine person,
but I went on the wine tour.
Speaker 9 (05:35):
It was with the Lady at Night and Ladies Day
and I went and that they're saying grea, which I'm
surprised they don't sell. They don't bottle it up. But
on tap they're San Gria. The whites Angria was phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Phenomenal You say I had a picture all by myself. Wow, Okay, yeah,
I could tell you were a little you were good
to go when I saw you Friday after after all
of that highlight.
Speaker 10 (06:01):
I think I'm gonna kind of piggyback off of Kailin.
But I loved the boat because I've never really been
on a boat, to be honest, Like I never had
friends or family that kind of like brought me along.
So and then you guys are really encouraging because I
wanted to go in the water, but like I get
really nervous, so that once everybody kind of went in there,
I did my thing. And then in the deep and
lengthy was it deep and lengthy or girthy?
Speaker 1 (06:19):
The Lake of Egypt? Like that was a I done that.
Speaker 10 (06:22):
I've never like hung out in a body of water,
never never on a noodle.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
I was on a noodle.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
You guys know my problem with when everyone like when
they docked the that dock anchor the boat like in
a little lake boating anchor area, you know, whatever it is,
the boat. I mean, you were a little bit of
everything this weekend. You were a renaissance man this weekend.
But everybody jumps in at the same time, and it's
(06:47):
to pee on themselves. Everyone's just peeing on each other.
And I don't need to be in the I don't
need to do that. That's what everybody does. They get
in the lake as soon as you like, if you're
out for like an hour or so, you're drinking, and
then the boat does. Everyone jumps in there. Everyone's just peeing.
Everyone is and so and then because you guys are
all together, you're peeing on each other and it's.
Speaker 10 (07:05):
Actually swim away when I did it, So it's not
like a pool where you're confined and that you could
just yeah yeah, yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
I don't think most people do. I think. And even
then it like there's a current and it comes back.
He just coming back to you.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
You just gotta let go, man.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Yeah. The water was nice and warm though it was
that's why. That's why. But all you guys went on this.
So there was a beer tour and a wine tour
and all of you guys just we're going to the
wine thing and then the folks that organize some of
this for us, we're very disappointed. They were like, well,
we have a whole beer thing too. So I went alone,
like the outcast, Like I'm the kid that didn't get
(07:43):
picked in kickball, and I went on the beer thing alone.
And everyone's like, why why do I go with you?
I'm like, I don't know. I guess.
Speaker 7 (07:52):
And I think you were thriving if you're yeah, what
was yours?
Speaker 2 (08:01):
What was my highlight? Maybe the boat food was good,
I don't know. Yeah, well they let me fly to
the Contour airplane. You all didn't see that. No, that's
when I woke up.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Coming on the way back.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
We woke up.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
There was a point where you were aware. During the
trip we hit.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
The clouds and the little little bumpy gully buck. I
was ready to land. I was like, forget it. We
just flew right through it, like you know what. Some
people might go around, not me. I go right through it.
I opened the shade. I was like, oh, we're still
in the clouds.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
I can go back to sit now.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
I did. There's a lot to get I have a
lot of ups. We all probably have a lot of
observations about each other after spending the entire weekend together.
One is it I think we travel well together. There
was no arguing, no bickering. Everybody was pretty much on
time and and yeah, but for the most part. In fact,
if we were late to anything, it wasn't because of
anyone in this room. We behaved ourselves for the most part.
(08:56):
I mean, Jason, I think I think everybody was pretty
much did what they were supposed to do right. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, we didn't miss anything.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Right, We did everything right. So and nobody was fighting
or nobody I want to go here or there, none
of that. It's wonderful. Rufio can sleep anywhere under any
circumstances you were I probably found you dead ass asleep
no fewer than ten times. Yeah, I mean, he would
just any problem, if there was any sort of downtime.
(09:25):
It was just I don't know that it's I was
trying to figure out if it was his skill or
if there's something wrong with you. I feel like it's
a little bit of both. Yeah, I think I think
so too.
Speaker 9 (09:35):
I do have my appointment today with the sleep doctor
because I was diagnosed with sleep apnea.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
I was gonna sayle because you literally would just like
I'd look back and if there was any kind of
downtime out yeah, like especially in the van. I just
you know, we drove out, we drove a lot.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
We did, and Travins shout out to him, Yeah we
had a driver.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
He does the speed limit yeah, which.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Is yeah, you know, he certainly does.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
I noticed that I haven't driven the speed limiting years.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
I know, I know, I know you haven't. And like
even when I noticed when the speed would change, the
limit would change on the road, he was sure to
be on top of that. We all of a sudden
we'd be breaking on the road. I'm like, why, It's like, oh,
I see the speed limit changed. We're in a municipality. Yeah.
He was a very safe, careful driver.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
He's a great driver.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I got you the best possible driver.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
He found all of our instagrams and followed us.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
Oh you saw that.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Yeah, he commented on our thing. Like he said he
loved each and every one of us or something.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
He was great. It was so nice. Yeah, that was great.
I highly recommend everybody needs to go wherever you're listening
to us now, you need to head on down to
Marion AKA Marion. Uh And that's right, and you need
to go and see all the different stuff they got there,
lots and lots of stuff to do.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
It was fun.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
So yeah, and you can if you're in the Chicagoland area,
then good old hair jump on the flight. If you're not,
then flat to old hair and then jump on the flight.
It's real simple. It saves you five and a half
hours of driving. But it was fun. But yeah, I mean, yeah,
the sleeping thing, I don't know if I was jealous
or worried because I can't sleep like that. I mean,
(11:09):
you fell asleep twice in like fifteen minutes, just trying
to get your stuff because your stuff was in the car.
And I'm like, U get your stuff and then no response.
I'm like, all right, well he's on his own. Then
he comes down half asleep. I'm like, well they took
your stuff away, like you got to go come back
in a little while, and yeah, he's like clean again.
And then I text him in twenty minutes the client,
(11:29):
the guy is waiting down there with your stuff asleep again.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (11:33):
That was after the Yeah, that was after the wine
and the whole long day we had, the flight and everything.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
So yeah, and apparently a picture of white Sangrea I
didn't know about.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
The only thing I would say and people are texting
now about Deadpool, RUFEO. I know you really wanted to
go see Deadpool. I tried, but this is something that
you must know about certain parts of the United States
and the world for that matter. Not everybody has uber
that you can get to like instantly, Like we're all
so spoiled. I feel like in most places where we live,
(12:05):
the uber will show up within a you know, relatively
expedient period of time, anywhere between a couple of minutes
in like ten minutes. Oh no, not in Marion. Marion.
It's a little bit of you know, it's a little
not any uber drivers out there, so you in fact,
we're not able to go to the movie. You were
trying to go to the movie. I was trying to
go to the movie.
Speaker 9 (12:24):
I bought a ticket to the ten forty show and
then I was like, all right, let me start to
find an uber around ten o'clock whatever. The movie there
was ten minutes away from the casino we were at.
And then they're like, yep, here here it's it'll you know,
you pay for the uber in advance, now you know
what I'm saying. And then it's like, all right, finding
a driver and that thing just.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Kept spinning and spinning and spinning.
Speaker 9 (12:48):
For literally like ten minutes, like, I'm sorry, we can't
find anybody.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Try again.
Speaker 9 (12:52):
In a minute, I was like, try again. You couldn't
even find one person. So I went to like the
hotel lobby. I was like, do ubers come around here?
They're like no, they they really don't. I was like,
is there like a you guys have a taxi service
or a shuttle?
Speaker 1 (13:05):
No?
Speaker 9 (13:07):
And then I was just like I had I had
Travis Dard driver's number, but it was ten o'clock at night. Yeah,
the man lived like thirty minutes away. I'm not gonna
call this dude, So I tried, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
I'm actually stuck. You didn't. Yeah, that sounds like something
a very rooful.
Speaker 9 (13:18):
No, that'd because then he would have to sit because
I bought the last ticket.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
I bought the last seat in that movie. Did that
was available? Oh, don't trust me. We know that would
be impolite, But the question was do you know that
that would have been make that man? And then he'd
had to sit outside the movie? Did it for two
hours away from that?
Speaker 6 (13:35):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Yeah, no, no, you're right. Well, anyways, he didn't get
to see it or did you run out last night
and see it? No? I did not.
Speaker 9 (13:43):
I didn't have time, you know, I was, you know,
trying to catch up with everything at home.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
So I don't know, because I honestly I could see
you rolling up to the house and be like, well, Jess,
what's another couple of hours I'm single parenting. Don't I
get the whole weekend? No, don't I get? Don't I
get from you know, nine am on Friday and midnight
on Sunday? I get a full weekend. We're not all right? Well,
when are you gonna go see it then? And how
are you avoiding all the spoilers? I have been staying
(14:09):
off social media.
Speaker 9 (14:10):
I've yeah, I'm gonna try see it this week sometime.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Do we have Olympic music anywhere? Because Jason's about to
do his first Olympic report and I'm looking for it?
All right, Well you can tell me where it is
because I was looking for it. But all right, that's
next because I got the Olympics have begun and Jason
Brown is all over it. I mean, he was so
dedicated because we were in Marion and Connor Bundali all
weekend and you But yet you were focused on the
Olympics at old times.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
I watched it. I love it.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
I'm obsessed with that. I don't know why. Yeah, you
know a lot of people were watching it too. This
year a lot of people are obsessed with it. That's
what's trending next. Some wardrobe malfunctions, Olympic only fans marvel
back on top United Airlines. This is my worst nightmare.
I'll tell you about in just a second. I don't
know if it was a boweing or not. Doesn't race
in the matter on this one, and let me see
(14:56):
here TikTok and Alexa Amazon so all trending this morning.
We'll get to it next. New Waiting by the phone
this morning, Kiki's cord is coming up. We've got money,
but she'll be to sell your toe in the way.
We're back to get two minutes. The Fread Show, Good
Morning's ever been left waiting by the phone? It's the
(15:19):
Fred Show, Ashton, good morning, welcome to the show. How
are you, Good morning?
Speaker 3 (15:23):
I'm good.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
How are you guys? We're doing great. Waiting by the
phone is what this is called. Of course, we're trying
to figure out what happened with this guy. Noah but
we got to know kind of everything. How did you meet?
Tell us about any dates that you've been on and
where things are now.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Yeah, so we met on one of the apps, pretty standard,
you know, we sorted a little bit and then he
kind of got straight to the point and asked me
out to dinner, which I loved that he was so direct.
And then our date went really really well. He was
a total gentleman, gentleman honestly, like just absolutely wonderful and
I absolutely want to see him again. But then he
(15:56):
stops responding like a little bit after our date, like
two days, and I genuinely don't know what happened.
Speaker 2 (16:02):
Huh okay, So again I always I always ask, you know,
let's a little self awareness here. Everything really went well,
Like you you don't think back on the date and say, ah, man,
there was this one weird part or one thing where
things may have been derailed. I mean, you honestly left
the date thinking I'm gonna hear from Noah, we're gonna
go out again. We're onto something here. Yeah, Oh it
(16:23):
was wonderful. All right. I got to ask the question
I just got in total fairness show. I want to
make sure full transparency like you were super into this
guy and very disappointed not to hear from him. Yeah. Absolutely, Okay,
all right, well let's stop. I'm gonna play a song.
We're gonna come back, ash and we're gonna call Noah.
See if we can get him on the phone for
you ask these questions. You'll be on the phone too.
At some point. You're welcome to jump in on the call.
(16:44):
And the hope here is that we can straighten this
out and set you guys up on another date that
we pay for.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
Sound good, sounds really good?
Speaker 11 (16:50):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Let's see what's up? Part two of Waiting by the
phone after a whole year, gonna be anur I Radio
Music festival in Las Vegas. We got trips on the
Fred Show coming soon back in two minutes here the
French show is not Good morning, Ashton. Yeah, welcome back.
Let's call this guy Noah. You met out one of
the apps. You got right to it. He asked you out.
(17:12):
I think that's a good way to go about things.
Just you know, you can't become penpals, right, You got
to get right to it. If we're gonna meet, let's meet.
Let's see if there's a connection you felt like there
was one and you were excited to see him again
and see where things went. Except you have not heard
from him since that date. You feel like you're being
ghosted and you want to know why. Yeah, okay, that's simple.
Well let's call him now. Good luck, Ashton, thank you? Hello? Hi?
(17:40):
Is this Noah? Yeah, there's no one. Hey, no, good morning.
My name is Fred. I'm calling from the Fred Show,
the morning radio show. I do have to tell you
that we are on the radio right now. I would
need your permission to continue with the call. Can which
at for just a second? Do you mind? Yeah? Sure?
Why not? Well? Thank you? Noah. We're calling on behalf
of a woman named Ashton. I guess you guys met
recent Lee and went on a date. Do you remember
(18:02):
going out with her? I hope, yeah, I do. Okay, Well,
she reached out to us and I was telling us
about you. Liked you a lot, thought there was a
lot of potential between the two of you. But says
that she has not heard from you since the date,
and she feels like you're ghosting her, and she kind
of wants an explanation. Well not kind of, she wants
an explanation. So what's going on h.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
Okay, Yeah, so Ashton was beautiful and I had a
great time up until the end, honestly, because after dinner,
I was walking her do her car, and you know,
I saw a guy who was homeless and he had
a sign he was asking for money, so you know,
I grabbed a couple of bunks and I gave it
(18:43):
to the guy and I kept walking and then like
as we were walking away, she just went on this
huge rant about how I should never give those people
money because they use it to buy drugs. Anyways, oh yeah, yeah,
and then she said, I bet the guy wasn't even
homeless and he probably at a BMW park down the street.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
And I don't know that just really like I was
shocked that she.
Speaker 5 (19:08):
Felt this way, but not that she had like such
a strong reaction to him doing something that you know,
like this guy was just asking for money and I
was just trying to help out and it had nothing
to do with there.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
So that really turned me off. Wow, Okay, so I
forgot to mention that the aston is here, Ashton. What's
up with the yeah, really opinionated perspective on homeless people
and why why can't he give his own money? To
someone like that's his prerogative. It's it's his it's his money,
it's his you know, it's his decision to make. And
that's just very judgmental, by the way. We don't know
(19:41):
any of that.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
Okay, Well, I've just noticed time and time again so
many people who are scammers, and they'll even do it
like online.
Speaker 2 (19:51):
Like, he looked first of all fine.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
He didn't look super rough for anything. He didn't look
homeless to me. Let me put it that way. Well,
he didn't look rough, he didn't look already.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
He looked fine, And I just see that fair.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
That doesn't mean he doesn't have in trouble, doesn't mean
he couldn't use some help, you know. I mean, of course,
there are different ways to help. You don't necessarily have
to get people money on the street. You can do
a lot of other things. But as far as like
what what my progative is with my money and what
makes me feel good or what makes me feel like
I'm helping someone, I mean, that's kind of up to me, right,
I Mean, he wasn't like you took money out of
(20:25):
your person, gave it to someone without your permission, or
that you didn't agree to Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
I just found it really odd though, that he felt
so comfortable just like giving this guy money when he
doesn't know anything about what he's going to do with
the money, like if he's actually going to use it to,
you know, get food or the room for the night
or whatever, and like it was just really I just.
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Want to jump in here because like it's just a
couple of bucks, and like, I don't care if I
was to get duped or something like that.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
To me, it's just it's a nice thing to do.
Speaker 5 (20:52):
And even if he was going to use it for
something else, like whatever, I just wanted to help.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
The guy's got some compassion. Like isn't that a track?
I mean, again, it's up to you how you want
to spend your money, but likewise, it's up to him
how he wants to spend his He wanted to try
and help somebody. Why is that a bad thing?
Speaker 3 (21:11):
I just I stand by everything that I'm saying. But
I also think it's kind of dumb not to call
me back for that reason, Like that's such a.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
I don't I was gonna be I'm gonna be honest
with you, Ashton, Like you sound you sound a little callous.
You sound you sound kind of cold. I mean, again,
you may not help people that way, but I don't
think that you thinking that he can't or giving him
a lecture for helping people that way simply because of
some stereotype that may be true in a small percentage
(21:40):
of instances, or may not be true at all. I mean,
I don't think that's a reason not to help someone.
I definitely don't think it's a reason not to date someone.
I mean, if you were giving all of his money
away and you were paying his bills, I mean, that's
a whole different set of problems. But the guy gave
somebody a couple bucks try to help him out, like
and and he got a lecture from you for that.
That's that's probably not the most attractive thing you could do.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Okay, Well it wasn't a lecture. It was just me
venting my opinion. And I feel like I'm entitled in
my opinion.
Speaker 2 (22:08):
I mean, you are, but so is he. And he's
also entitled to see that as unattractive and maybe think
that you don't have a lot of compassion. I mean,
am I right? No? Is that kind of how it
came off?
Speaker 5 (22:17):
Yeah, I mean that's how it felt to me. And look,
maybe I could have just said it straight up to you,
but I just didn't want to get into it and
start a whole thing because I'm not interested. And that
turned me off and that was the end of the
story for me.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
I mean, that's the way he wants to help somebody.
You might have a different way. That's fine. It's his money,
it's his deal. But let me ask you, Noah, I mean,
would you give her another chance? She's kind of doubling
down on this opinion, but would you I mean, we'll
pay for another date. Would you be willing to try again? Honestly?
Speaker 5 (22:45):
If she had walked it back and maybe just said
I understand where you're coming from, and that's totally fine.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
I see, it doesn't really matter that much.
Speaker 5 (22:53):
But no, since she doubled down and isn't going to
give me an ounce of credit for just trying to
do something nice, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
An well Ashton, he's not interested. You might keep that
opinion to yourself. It's also not necessarily universally accurate either.
Your your thoughts about not helping Why you wouldn't help
someone on.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
The street, Okay, Well, I mean I guess there.
Speaker 2 (23:16):
Are probably scammeras out there. But that's not the way
to go through life. I don't think I mean just
not help anybody because everybody might be able to get
I I don't know. I don't love that perspective either,
but hey, that's your right to have your opinion, his
right to have his. It's not going to work out, guys.
Thank you for your time. Best of luck to both
of you.
Speaker 12 (23:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Thanks the Entertainment of port Kaylin has it next? Seven
hundred bucks for sho Shelley. You wining ten minutes on
the Fred Show. We're back in two minutes. It's a
fread show. It's Kiki's Court. You guys are the jury
eight five, five, five, nine, one one three five All rise,
the honorable Kik a league take it away.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
Yes, let's get into the courtroom. The gabble has been hit,
it says Kiki. My name is Dean. I'm a sophomore
at a religious university in the South. Since moving away
to school, my roommate was very helpful with getting me
adjusted to a new city. He introduced me to a
lot of people and one girl that I had the
biggest crush on. I would go to her job and
get coffee just to try to start a conversation with her,
(24:13):
and I told my roommate how much I liked her. Well,
one night, I got the usual text from my roommate
to give me the heads up that he that he
had company over. So I hung out in another friend's
room for a few hours. But when I finally went
back to the room, I was shocked to see the
girl that I was crushing on making the walk of
shame from our front door. I was so mad in
(24:33):
the moment, but I kept my mouth closed. So as payback,
I took a photo of my roommate's liquor stash and
sent it to our ra Keep in mind, we live
on a dry campus. My roommate ended up getting kicked
out of school, damn, because it wasn't his first time
being caught with liquor. I told him that the girl
must have sent the photo. Am I wrong? I didn't
(24:54):
mean for it to go this far, but he betrayed
me first.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
Damn, because this dude kick out of college over a girl.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Yes that he introduced you too.
Speaker 13 (25:06):
I mean that's too far, bruh, way too far. You
can't do it, Kicky, What do you think? Okay, dean.
I mean this in the nicest way, but something is
wrong upstairs. Okay, we got to get you fixed, because
if you take it this far with your roommate over
a girl that doesn't want you or you don't have
a chance with, that's insane. You got this man kicked
(25:29):
out of school because you were upset that he smashed
a girl before.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
You could what.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
It wasn't even like, I don't know they were dating,
the other two were dated. The Dean's the dude who
got the dude kicked out the dude. The dude the
dude say dude, So it wasn't even that. Maybe if
Dean had been dating the girl and then she cheated
with this guy, and maybe there's some revenge to be
had there. But even then, getting someone kicked out of school,
that could have lifelong repercussions for somebody because you try
(26:00):
and go to apply another school, or that somebody asked
you why you didn't graduate while I got kicked out.
You know, you could have lost money. It probably did
lose money in the deal. I mean, that's a that's
a major thing to do over a girl that you
may have had zero chance with exactly now.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
I mean your homemade. I mean, your roommate is kind
of you know, that's a little grimy. I told you
I liked this girl. You saw me trying to pursue her.
Maybe I don't have as much game as you. That's so,
it's right, But it's a lot of other girls on
the campus that you could have, you know, kicked it with.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
Why you have to go get the girl that I like.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
I understand you being upset, but in that moment to
be that vindictive where you took a photo and snitched
this man out and now he's kicked out of school
and you're still not even admitting to that that you
did it. You're telling him that you know the girl
may have sent the photo.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Okay, but I want to be clear. The guy who
got the roommate kicked out had no claim to this girl, right, No,
he just liked.
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Her, he told It's like, you know, you tell me
like I like this person, and then I go datum, yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
But unfortunately, like you can't can't claim people like that
like you. I do think it's messed up when you
say to a good friend like hey, I'm interested in
this person, they go pursue them. But you also got
to remember there's another person involved here, so like you
don't get to just you know, own people. I've had
that one happen before too, where it's like, well you
can't you can't go out with her because of so
and so. It's like, well, she can make that decision,
(27:19):
not you.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
But isn't there some type of bro code you should have?
Bye bye?
Speaker 2 (27:22):
That's if that's if someone hooked up with someone else before,
Like if one of my friends is hooked up with
somebody before or dated, especially dated, then I need to
not or I need to make sure that my boy's
okay with it, you know, to a certain extent. If
I intend to be friends with this guy anymore, I
will give it to Dean.
Speaker 9 (27:42):
There is some sort of bro code that says, you know,
if if Dean said to his friend, I like this girl,
that friend gotta give it some time, deed to make
his move to see Dean could to could could get
this girl now.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
But maybe maybe the other guy said to the girl, hey,
my roommate likes you or whatever, and she's like, I
don't like him back.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
You know.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Maybe maybe maybe he said something to her and she's like,
he has no show, he has a chance that.
Speaker 9 (28:08):
Boy gotta tend his friend, gotta tell Dean, or Dean
gotta find out for himself. You can't just say if
that girl knows I don't like Dean and be like
all right, I'm in you got it was not that serious.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
This is a very casual thing. And the girl chose
another guy, or they chose each other whatever. You don't
go getting people kicked out of college for that.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Well, no, you should absolutely not do that.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
But I do think that there's some type of bro
cone that was crossed here because if I tell, you know, Kaylen,
I really like omar On girl, that's my dream man,
and then she end up with Amario, I'm gonna look
at her sideways whatever.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
Mm hmm. Well you but you should also look at
omar On sideways forever in this scenario because he chose
her and that right, so they chose each other, so
it's not it's not all her fault that the dude
liked another girl, which you know, of course that would
never happen because O Mario is gonna walk in here
and fall in love with you and that you know,
they would never Caitlyn would never do that.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
No, so she would never do that because there's some
type of girl code there, right.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Yeah, I would never. I would never do that.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
She would never up with the more an.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
You hear that, yes, But I'm just saying so in
this I give Dean a little bit of credit that
you know, the roommate did cross the borrow code. However,
you cannot get people kicked out of school because you're
upset over a girl.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Yeah, I mean, does anyone disagree with this? Eight five
five five nine three five a text? So far, way
too far. You altered someone's life for a hookup. Gross.
I didn't even get my college roommate booted for taking
and sending photos of me sleeping. Oh my god, it's
a real mess. Well, you just saw her leaving, you
(29:44):
know what I'm saying. Who knows what they did? You
don't even know what they did. They could have had
a nice talk and she fell asleep. Now, now, now
that's exactly what happened. You know better than that, Okay.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
He said he sent him the little courtesy text that
you send your roommate. Hey, I got company, and when
you saw his dream girl leaving the room, he decided
to send them.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
This has happened to everybody. I feel like everybody's been
in a situation where they liked somebody and their and
their friend got with them, you know, whether it's you know,
I don't know. I can remember in college I liked
the girl and then almost exact same scenario happened. Like
I walk out of my fraternity room, you know, at
whatever time on a Saturday morning, and out comes the
(30:27):
girl I like, out of another room, and it's like,
I mean, it sucks, but I don't. You don't own
these people, like everyone's it's free, will you know? Like
she chose him and I don't. I don't think that
the question would be did the other guy go out
and pursue the girl simply because his friend wanted her?
That's now that's messed up. But if two people choose
(30:48):
each other and it's not the way you wanted to go,
it doesn't mean you could sabotage their whole life.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
No, you can't.
Speaker 4 (30:53):
But do you I'm a little confused about this bro
code thing with you? So you where's your code friend?
But you can't look.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
If I went to you and be like, yo, I
really like Sally and then Sally, Sally is fine as hell. Yeah,
she's very nice.
Speaker 9 (31:12):
I like her a lot, and I tell you that,
and then you go and hook up with Sally without
ever you know, without ever saying, without her telling talking
to me or anything like that. That's crossing bro code.
But the thing is.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
If you said to me, I like Sally, and then
I don't do anything really and Sally, and Sally expresses
interest in me, but you have to know you know
that I like her, Yeah, but I don't. You's got
to be said that. But so long as I'm not
out here pursuing this woman aggressively. After you told me
that you wanted to get with her, I shot up
to me whether she likes me better than you? But
(31:47):
you got to say something, so I just I just
can't get with a girl because you've you've essentially pete
on her already.
Speaker 14 (31:52):
No, I'm just saying, but like if Sally, if you
and I meant that.
Speaker 9 (31:59):
Metaphorically speaking, but there's still there if if she said
something to like, if she starts pursuing you, you got
to be like, yo, you know my friend likes you,
or mentally in your mind, be like, I can't do
this right now because he likes I've.
Speaker 2 (32:15):
Had that happen too before you walk into a bar
and you know a guy in the groups like I
like her. It's like, okay, but first of all, you've
never spoken to her, know anything about her. That's kind
of the same. I mean random, I don't want to
It's not like it's not like where the bro code
comes in for me, is if you actually had something
(32:35):
with someone, then I need to be careful. How I again,
you you look up with somebody one time, or you
just say I like her. I I can't go pue
that person. But you don't own anybody. You You can't
just be You can't just do that. You can't be like, oh,
I like all these girls so that my friends can't
look up with any of them. You can't do that.
(32:57):
It's telling you I like this girl. You to give
him some time to try to pursue this girl.
Speaker 5 (33:02):
Right.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
You also don't get your boy kicked out of college either.
I mean, come on, Ashley, how are you doing? Good morning? Good?
Speaker 6 (33:09):
How are you good morning? Everybody?
Speaker 2 (33:11):
How I handle this?
Speaker 6 (33:14):
Dean might be crazy? I agree with Peaky Dean is
totally crazy and it was a casual hooks up. It
takes two to tango do You couldn't do something petty,
like I don't know, kid with a girl he likes
or a sister or something. But to get him kicked
out of college, that's a little too far. That's that's
beyond petty. That's really vindictive and crazy. And usually when
(33:36):
people get kicked out of college sometimes you can't get
re enrolled in another college.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
Ye, that's that's really drastic.
Speaker 6 (33:43):
Yes, but he really messed up his life over a
casual hooked up.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Yeah, yeah, I just this whole. I don't know. Our
definition of bro code differs.
Speaker 6 (33:52):
I think also, if you were either dating.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
That person, yes, or you know it was mutual.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
That both of you liked each other and then he
stole you from her, no, Bean might need to get
that steeler.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
There's gotta be a little more to it for bro
code to come into play, because I don't think. I
also don't think it's cool for you to be getting
revenge on me because a girl likes me better than you.
Speaker 6 (34:15):
That's on top of that, it's even more psychiatic because
even you know, oh not that you did it, you're
gonna blame it on the girls. So now you're going to.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
Yeah, this guy is weak all around. He's not even
taking responsibility for his own revenge. That's that's why I
don't have a lot of sympathy for this This dude
sounds like a little bee. He sounds like a little
like a little bee, thank you.
Speaker 6 (34:37):
Sounds like he needs some medical profession have a good
thing he might.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
He might need that, because we got layers here. First
of all, this dude the girl doesn't like him. He
believes that he's entitled to another human being, which he
is not. And then on top of all that, he
went and did something very spiteful to the person who
technically won the girl in what seems like a very
casual sort of courtship. And on top of that, you
(35:03):
won't even own the fact that he did it. Yeah,
at least say that I did it. So this guy's
a bee on like four times four times a b
oh god. So I don't I don't have any respect
for this guy. At least be like, yeah, I did that.
You crossed me, like I told you I liked her.
You went after anyway, I got you kicked out of
school like I'm you know, I mean, at least be
(35:24):
a boss about it.
Speaker 4 (35:26):
Make responsibility, yes, yes, yes, but we all know how
it feels when you see your friend take somebody you like.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
But that sucks, and a lot of things in life suck.
It doesn't mean you get retribution. Like people people make
each other feel bad sometimes, like you don't know, you
don't get everything you want, Like it's just I mean,
I'm sorry, Like your crush doesn't automatically like you just
because they're your crush, And just because they're your crush
doesn't mean that you get to prevent anyone you know
(35:54):
from being with them.
Speaker 9 (35:55):
Well, according to your bro code, you get whatever you
want for it.
Speaker 7 (35:58):
I would argue there's going to be a little history.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
Rubio was constantly trying to get with a girl. Hey Cassie,
I'm making that episode. Hey Cassie, good morning.
Speaker 15 (36:15):
Good morning.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Hey what did you what do you think? What do
you want to say?
Speaker 15 (36:19):
So, I mean, it kind of sounds like they both
maybe don't have the best friendship, Like if he's been
caught with like liquor on the drag campus and stuff
like that. But I mean, but what if he like
genuinely didn't know that he was going to get kicked
out of school, Like what if he didn't get kicked
out and you know, he still lived there. I mean,
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:37):
Yeah, I still don't. I don't like them. I don't
like it. I mean it sucks. We've all been there
where we like someone who didn't like us back, and
maybe like someone that we know. But we don't own people.
And you don't get to just sabotage people's lives because
you didn't get with the one girl.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
But like she said, he didn't mean for him to
get kicked out. What did you think was gonna happen?
It's wanted to get him in trouble.
Speaker 2 (36:58):
All right, Cassie, thank you for listen. Have a great day,
glad you called. Hey, Johnny, Yo, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Prett A?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Just want to say I.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Love the show.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Thank you to you guys every morning. Thank you. We
love you too. Now you have an argument here that
bro code doesn't apply here, which I would agree with.
Now why what?
Speaker 5 (37:16):
Uh?
Speaker 16 (37:18):
I don't think because it's not like they were going
on dates and stuff, you know what I mean, it
wasn't too mutual yet. I mean his friend maybe should
have been more open with him about it. And but like, yo,
you know that girl came over. I kind of you know,
we did the dirty right, But I don't think you
should have got him kicked out that across the line.
(37:39):
Definitely would have probably pursued his sister or something.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
You know, maybe even that way.
Speaker 9 (37:44):
But like Johnny, if you were could come to me
and say you like some girl and I end up
hooking up with her, you wouldn't get mad.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
That's okay.
Speaker 16 (37:52):
Oh I get mad, but I wouldn't try to get
you kicked out.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
But that I'm just saying, there's code there. That's what
I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (37:57):
There's a bro code there that I shouldn't pursue this
girl because I know you like her.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Well, Johnny said the coldy is he gonna get with
your sister?
Speaker 16 (38:09):
Definitely not be you know, knarking on him.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah, I don't like this. Did this dude? And then
he won't even take credit for his own sac exactly
up to.
Speaker 16 (38:18):
It to him that yeah, bro, that was my bad.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
You know.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
This is week. It's weak all around. Hey, Johnny, thank you,
have a great day.
Speaker 16 (38:29):
Hey you true can't wait you guys, al Man glad
you call him?
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Yes, sir, Johnny, Hey, Alex.
Speaker 12 (38:35):
Hey, good morning, how are you guys?
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Wait a minute, and a good Fred has to be
a horrible, horrible wing man. If he doesn't agree with
bro code. No, again, I do agree with bro code.
What I don't agree with is you don't get to
stay claim on humans like I'm sorry. And again, if
it's a matter of I like that girl, that's us
seeking claim on somebody.
Speaker 14 (38:55):
Yes, I like that girl. Don't talk to her, don't
don't approach her. You're arguing he should just he was
just telling her I like this girl. Okay, the friend
should have been like But by the way, I understand that.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
We don't know how much time transplied here either, for
all we know, and Alex, I want to hear what
you have to say. But for all we know, this
has been this was weeks and months in the making.
We don't know this what this may not have been
as simple as I like her and then his friend
goes me too. And then, by the way, I have
a right to like a girl too, and the girl
has a right to choose, and if she chooses, I
mean that that can't come in the way of our friendship.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
Friend, Yeah, if I tell you I like the girl
on Tuesday and then two months from now, you messing
with her on a Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
I'm still gonna be mad.
Speaker 2 (39:37):
That is not fair. He should have been a good
wig man and hyped you up, you know. Okay, So
anyone that Rufio says, any girl he says he likes,
I can never in my life speak to her, even
if he press me.
Speaker 9 (39:49):
Not saying that, I'm just saying that there there is
a time frame. Yes there's a time frame.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah I'm not.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
If I'm not.
Speaker 9 (39:56):
If I don't got the game to land the girl,
and and that's known, then.
Speaker 1 (40:01):
What's the timeframe?
Speaker 12 (40:02):
Right?
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Because now you agree with what.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
We don't know how long. We don't know how long
this pursuit has been going on a time frame. Maybe
he's had plenty of time to shoot his shot and
this girl just isn't interested. That's not my fault, Okay.
And again I've been on both sides of this, so
I you know, again, I can't fault my friends. If
a girl likes one of my friends. Better, I can
fault my friend if at the exact same time I go, yeah,
(40:25):
I like that girl, and then he immediately goes and
tries to get with her.
Speaker 6 (40:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:28):
But what I can't fault my friend for is if
I say I like that girl. I try, she's not
interested and she chooses my friend, which may have happened here,
we don't know the timeframe. Alex, what did you want
to say? Good morning? I'm sorry, no, good morning.
Speaker 12 (40:42):
I just wanted to let you guys know that back
in high school I had a friend. And I say
had because they're no longer in my life. But I
told him, I'm like, hey, man, I'm very interested in
this girl, Like, is there any way you could possibly
keep it in your pants? Knowing you as the player,
but you know, me having no game. I told him,
(41:03):
I'm like, hey, well, she's taking a pity date on me,
to which I ended up finding out that she canceled,
and coincidentally enough, my friend canceled the hang out that day.
Speaker 11 (41:18):
I got Yeah.
Speaker 12 (41:19):
She ended up posting a snapchat of herself past dressed
in the in the room that looked awfully too familiar.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Oh wow, she posted a sexy shot from this room. Yeah,
did you get revenge?
Speaker 11 (41:34):
That was like a public advertisement that she was already
taken or what. But I took it as I took
it as a war shot. So what ends up happening
was I? Actually I got with this guy's.
Speaker 3 (41:47):
Mom is.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
One way to handle that American pie. Ye, exactly. Wow
did you find out? No?
Speaker 12 (42:01):
I mean if if anybody were to find out, they
would probably find out about it on the radio today.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Wow. Okay, well that is one way to get revenge.
Thank you, Alex. This epic. Have a good day. See
this text here. Fred doesn't understand other people's feelings. I'm
wrong again. You can't just point people out and go
that one, that one that won, that one off limits
for the rest of your life. He didn't say this,
(42:26):
what are you talking about? That's exactly what he said.
He fed. Yeah, he got a guy kicked out of
college and changed the trajectory of his life.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
That's exactly what he mean on and that's what I
would do.
Speaker 2 (42:36):
And that is not right.
Speaker 10 (42:37):
No, it's not right. But it seems like he was
pursuing her. That's the difference. He was going to her
coffee shop, right, Yeah, you're trying to get her.
Speaker 2 (42:43):
He was talking this girl. I'm just all I'm saying
is other there's another person involved here. It's the girl,
and she has a she has free will.
Speaker 4 (42:51):
But you have my friend cannot do that just because
of our relationship.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Have you ever had a friend in your friend group
who likes everybody all the time. Yes, And what are
you supposed to do about that? Just everybody they point
out and like, whether they're liked back or not, you
just can't that's true.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
But he has like everybody. He liked this one girl.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
If you are if you're my boy, and you're like,
I'm so into this girl, Yes, I am not pursuing
that person. I'm not like and you're trying, and you're trying,
and there's a chance I might never be. But at
the same time, there are so many variables here that
we don't know about. And again you just pointed out
this duty is stalking this woman at work. I mean,
he has no chance. He never had a chance. He's
(43:37):
never had a chance. Okay, and then on top of that,
he goes out and does a b thing and won't
even take credit for being the bee. I'm sorry. I
don't like it. I don't like it. I don't I
don't feel bad for this chef.
Speaker 8 (43:47):
I don't
