Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show, alex Is, good morning, Welcome to the show.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
How are you hi, Good morning, Thank you so much
for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
You know what, we are so glad to have you
so far. I'll tell you about fifteen minutes and we're
still glad to have you. But let's what's going on
with this guy, Dave? Tell us how you met, about
any days that you've been on and why you think
you're being ghosted?
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Well, okay, so we've actually met on Hinge and we
were texting a lot, and he asked me out to
a really fancy dinner, and you know, overall, I thought
we had fun. But I never heard from him again
after we said goodbye, and you know, to be honest,
I'm kind of dying to know why, just because everything
seems so like fun and great, okay, And I guess
I just, you know, maybe it's not like I'm sitting
(00:46):
here wondering if I did anything wrong, but I am
quite curious if maybe he thought there was something that
happened that night that was off putting to him, or
you know, I don't know. I guess maybe I just
thought we had a better time.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Okay, all right, So again, you know, you meet this
guy on a dating app. It's kind of always a
crabshoot about in person chemistry, but you thought you had
it on this one. So you leave in the day
thinking this is great, I finally met somebody who I
want to see again. Because when you match on these
apps and you're chatting and stuff, there's really no way
to know until you actually meet in person if you
think it's going to go anywhere, and you did, and
(01:20):
so you're disappointed to learn that this guy apparently doesn't
want to go out with you again, or that's what
you think at least because he hasn't called you, he
hasn't responded to you, and he's left you onread that's
pretty much it.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, Like it's just I wish you would just kind
of have communicated with me about anything, you know, regarding
our night or you know, even if he didn't have
a good time or didn't even like me after we
met up, that's fine, but there's really no reason to ghost.
I think I just feel that he should, you know,
he should do right by me, especially if we were
talking for as long as we were on the app
(01:53):
and we seemed very compatible.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Okay, well, let's see if we can figure this out.
Either he's ghosting you and we hope to find out why,
or something's been going on and we're gonna set you
guys up on another date that we pay for, which
is what we're hoping. So hang on one second and to
play one song and then we'll come back.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
And call Dave a thank you.
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Let's see what's up?
Speaker 1 (02:09):
Part two Waiting on a phone two minutes from now
after Subrina Carpenter will do it, stay right here, Fred Show.
Subrina Carpenter on The Fred Show. Hey Alexis Hi, Yeah, Hi,
welcome back. So let's call this guy Dave. You met
on one of the dating apps hinge I believe, and
he went on a date that you thought went really well,
good chemistry, you had a good time. You expected to
hear from this guy again for another date. He has
(02:32):
not reached out. He also has it responded to you.
So you feel like you're being ghosted. You want to
know why?
Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I don't really think that's a
horrible thing to want to know, Like why, you know
why am I being ghosted?
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Was?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Did we not have a great time? Like you know
what was off putting.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
All right, well we're about to find out right now,
we're gonna call Dave. Hopefully he answers we can talk
to him.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Good luck. Hello, Hi is his Dave? Yes it is Hey, Hey.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Good morning. My name is Fred. I'm calling from the
Fred Show of the morning radio show. I do have
to tell you that we are on the radio right
now and I do need your permission to continue with
the call.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Can we chatt for just a second? Do you mind?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
It's actually is Fred? Isn't it sure?
Speaker 4 (03:16):
It is?
Speaker 5 (03:17):
It is?
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Oh my god, look at me.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
I'm I've been recognized, so you might know why we're
calling them. We're calling on behalf of this woman, Alexis
do you know?
Speaker 4 (03:29):
You know? I mean, what happened with this woman?
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Because she just described a really successful date in her opinion,
that she went on with you, but says that she
hasn't been able to get a hold of you. You
haven't responded to her, you haven't reached out for another one.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
What happened?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
This chick has balls? Man? Wow?
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Is that the problem that she this chick has balls?
Is that what happened that you were surprised to learn that?
Or is that more of a metaphort.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Definitely a metaphor.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Okay, well, what happened?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
She was running her mouth during the date?
Speaker 4 (04:03):
How was she running her mouth? What does that mean?
Speaker 3 (04:06):
So she was talking in French to the waitress. I
guess she thought that she was slick, and she was like, oh, yeah,
I'm just using them for a free meal. Maybe I
can get another one out of it.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Okay, hold on, hold on, let's let's let's back let's
back up for a second. Where did we get to
a land where we're speaking in French to the server? Like, so, okay,
so you're at the restaurant and I don't know, she determines,
alexis determined.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
I'm white, So I don't know any other languages.
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Well I think a lot of French people are white too, But.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
So there's that.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
But I'm not sure if that would be the issue.
But another right over the planet. Okay, So she speaks French.
She realizes that the server speaks French as well, then,
and so they start talking in French.
Speaker 4 (04:56):
Is that what happened?
Speaker 3 (04:57):
I don't know. I don't know if they knew each
other or what.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
But yeah, I'm just trying to figure out where the
French came into this. But so she's talking to the
server in French. Do you speak French then, or how
did you know that? How did you know that she
was saying to the server then she just wanted free food?
Speaker 3 (05:13):
Oh yeah, I'm almost fluwent in French, and I'm flouent
in Spanish as well. I keep it on the down low, though,
so that for situations like this, I mean, usually it's
more appropriate at work.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
But that is an interesting party trick is not to
tell someone that you speak a language, and then when
they start speaking it, then it's like, oh, now I
know what they're saying. Let me bring Alexis into this day.
I forgot to mention that Alexis is here. I'm very
forgetful Alexis. Why first of all, why are you talking
smack about him to the server and then calling us
trying to get another date? Like if you were were
(05:46):
you just trying to get another free meal? Is that
what this is?
Speaker 2 (05:48):
All?
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Right?
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Well, it's sorry I having here, Oh my gosh. Okay,
So when I was talking to the waitress, you know,
before he arrived, I actually realized that me and the
waitress had a lot in common, just basically because we
spoke French together, and at the end of the meal,
(06:10):
she asked me, you know, in French, how day was going,
And you know, to be honest, I guess maybe I
wasn't as nice about Dave in our conversation together, and
I guess I feel bad about that now. But Okay,
(06:31):
so I must have just been joking in turn when
I said I'm going to keep him around for a
free meal, because obviously I wouldn't do something like that.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
So you don't remember saying that, but you but he
says you said that in French.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Then he speaks to Okay, well again, I I don't
remember saying it exactly like that.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
I feel like it was said.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
More out of turn, like kind of jokingly. But you know,
I feel bad because that's obviously the way that you know,
Dave took it, and I, you know, I want to
be that guy.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
I mean, that's how anybody would take it when you
say in a foreign language in front of someone that
you're only out with them to eat for free.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
So you said that, But then but.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
Then you're calling us to try and work this out,
so you go out with him again. So again I'm
gonna ask the question, are you just trying to get
free food here because you told the server that you
didn't like the guy.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
But now you're telling us you like him, all right,
you know Okay, So I personally, I think this is
a little bit of you know, being a little too
one sided here again, Like, I was just having a
nice conversation with a waitress and one.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
When you called the radio to make me look like
an ass I'm little did you know? I already knew
that you were the asshole.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
I thought we were being silly.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
I mean, I mean, way is summon up right there, Dave.
I gotta be honest with you. This woman was talking
smack about you in a language she didn't think you
could understand you in fact, did understand it. She said
she wanted free food, which she got, and then she's
calling us crying, going, hey, what happened here? Why won't
you call me again? Well, it's because you said that
you were using him. You said that in front of him,
(08:03):
and you just didn't think that he knew. So, I mean,
I guess I wonder why you're surprised, Alexis Well, you
know what.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Again, I was just saying that to be funny with
the wages and you know what, maybe Dave is taking
this a little too personally.
Speaker 5 (08:14):
At this point.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Oh is it you problem, Dave? Yeah, I figured okay, So,
I mean.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
You might speak French, but maybe you don't understand context.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
That's all I'm gonna say.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Oh I see, so he's dumb. He's dumb and only
worthy of being used for food like I'm getting Alexis.
Come on, you can't say stuff like this and then
expect a positive reaction.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Listen, I'm not trying to like start any problems here.
Speaker 4 (08:36):
I think you don't want.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Have been next to the radio show.
Speaker 5 (08:40):
Maybe you didn't.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
I didn't attack you.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
You could have at least no, no, no, you could
have at least come to me and said, hey, you're
a bit of a brat because I speak French. That
you didn't know that, and I didn't care what you
were saying, Like you could have at least told me that,
but instead you ghosted me, like, and now I'm on
a radio show airing.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
This whole thing.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Like, honestly, that's it's kind of awful.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Of you to be honest enabling a user.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
This is somehow I didn't realize that. Okay, all right,
look Dave I'm just going to ask the question. I
about asking English, so everyone's clear clear on it. Would
you like to go out with her again? She's saying
that she was tongue in cheek. It was a misunderstanding.
It was a joke. You missed the context of it.
Ha ha, you know, and you're saying no, I think
(09:28):
she meant it and she just didn't realize I knew.
So do you want to give her another chance?
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah? You know, I had a great time. We should
do it again sometime.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Well really, well, you know what.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 4 (09:40):
I'm told at this point, what is going on?
Speaker 6 (09:42):
All right?
Speaker 4 (09:43):
Wait? So you were willing to go out with her
again after all this?
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Oh you see, I was making a joke. I didn't
catch that.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Lost humor here.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
To work on the comedy.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
You need to work on the comedy. Two cases together.
I don't know what else we need to do. Yeah, okay, there.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Are a lot of other people that are not funny
like us.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
So how do you say, I gotta go? In French?
Speaker 1 (10:19):
I gotta I gotta go. Look, Alexis, I'm sorry, I
don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
He said, he said yes, and then you said no.
But you wanted yes, and then I don't. So you
guys can work it out on your own. But I
don't think it's going to work out.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
Please don't call us.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
I really yeah. Okay, you guys, best elected both of you.
This was a complete cluster. I have no idea, but
best elected both of you guys. Okay, thank you, Dave.
Oh yeah, maybe maybe I'll understand that.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
Thank you. Good luck.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
The Entertainer Report three hundred bucks A show bits Shelley,
if you can beat our pop culture expert in the
Showdown Vault, next Fresh Show's.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
On Fred Show, do you have what it takes to battleship?
Speaker 5 (11:14):
You're definitely gonna be Calledina's battle. Not today.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
To blame the game? Pullin? Know was game? Sing your song?
Speaker 7 (11:27):
Now?
Speaker 8 (11:27):
There's so much going on on the Fred Show. Kitlin's
oot up, Guna moving with her Man and then we
got a commercial out there although it might not have
a budget.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Can't blame us, jes I just got a check from
Double Down the I think he's a a vice president
of something. Yeah, we've already We've already been through this
because everyone is a VP of something. And now I'm
not saying he didn't deserve to be because of all
the people. He probably does. But I don't know these
everyone's a VP of something. I don't understand how this says.
Is everybody is this like this? You just make yourself
(12:01):
a VP. I don't think so everyone is a VP.
I think it's just here. We got the VP of
janitorial Services, which is great. I mean it's a Blinkett
deserves that. But I'm just saying, like, yeah, we might
have some licensing issues though on the music that we're
using in our commercial that was made on Microsoft Paint.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
I didn't realize you.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I don't know you could make videos on Microsoft Paint,
but this company figured it out. I might need you
to sing the hooks and we might have to provide
that to the video editor because it's possible that we're
not allowed to use the actual songs in the commercial.
Speaker 4 (12:35):
Nobody checked it out. We're working.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
We're working with legal right now, but Kiki and Jay
I might need you guys, if you guys, could you
know after the show going to studio sing the hooks.
Speaker 4 (12:45):
We got to send that to legal, right. Legal is
a long process sometimes and we can't waste time.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
Yeah, because Legal is saying, hey, are you sure we're
able to use these songs? And I'm like that, Actually,
you're legal, so you're supposed to know the answer to that.
So we need to come up with a backup, and
who knows, maybe we'll like the version that you guys
make better and we'll run that one. I haven't decided,
but we're gonna need I'm gonna need to decide by side.
But yes, we do have a TV commercial and yeah,
(13:13):
so desperate times call for desperate messages. Hey, Carrie, how
you doing. Hey, I'm good, Carrie, tell us about you.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Welcome, thank you.
Speaker 5 (13:25):
I am at work sort of.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Well right, because you know, what do you do?
Speaker 3 (13:31):

Speaker 1 (13:32):
Oh I think I hear a heart monitor in the background.
That is that an important sound that I'm hearing? Nothing
life threatening? All right, So five questions against Paulina. She
does have a losing record and definitely gonna be Paulina

to find out which colored circle they need to place
their hand or foot on. That's a win. Here comes
what sinko?
Speaker 5 (14:44):
Oh my god, this game makes that blood pressure go up.
I don't like that.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
I'm that heart monitor. Okay, well you've got I need one.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
I have one actually for the gorilla things, so you
can share it with me.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Are you kidding? What are these frog?
Speaker 4 (16:55):
How did not know this froggy?
Speaker 1 (16:58):
A tad pole? This is really one of your worst performances. Honestly,
you're about to get a one name the popular game
where players spin a wheel to find out which colored
circle they need to place their hand or foot on.
All right, that's a two. You got a two, she
got a five. She's a winner. That is last Summer

eighty one, Carrie for Paulina, and you are victorious, and
you shall win some form of prize to show.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
A love bit appreciation.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
I just want to know our love and appreciation is
much higher than whatever level of prize you receive, because
I don't think it's gonna be that great.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Just know that you're way more loved than that. Well,
thank you, thank you. Carrie.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
You're the one that's the tell that held on. You're
the one, the one person of the thirteen that continues
to listen to us until school goes back. Hang on
one second, Okay, I've been wondering why the last few
weeks has been a little echoey in the you know,
and I'm talking to echoe. I'm like, where is everybody?
They're gone? But the TV commercial is going to bring
(18:02):
them all back.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
That's gonna do.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
I'm telling you, Kiki, You're up next game show Wednesday. Yes,
fast paced games here, you know, just boom boom boom,

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Three songs We're going to tell you what each song is,
and all you have to do is the at home
player is tell us whether you think Kiki will get
the lyrics right or wrong when we stop the song.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
That's it.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
That's all you gotta do. Eight five, five, five nine
one one o three five. Very simple. We'll play next
call now Fred show, good show, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
It's time to play. What day is it.
Speaker 7 (18:42):
Tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (18:46):
I kind of wish it were Maybe that was wishful thinking.
All right, your player today is is it Alisha?
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Alisha? How are you doing? I?
Speaker 5 (18:56):
How are you?
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Alicia? It's so great to talk to you. Tell us
about you, please.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
I have been listening to since I was five.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yeah, wow, okay, you like you truly did grow up
with us?
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Basically, yeah, I can say, Fred, your voice does not
match your photo. Yeah, I've been getting on a lot lately.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
What does you think I looked like I've been getting
out my whole life, act, my whole career.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
But what did you think I was picturing?
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Like?
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Mixed?
Speaker 4 (19:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Yeah, I get I get short, educated black, But yeah,
you guessed educated, But then it turns out I'm not?
Speaker 10 (19:36):
Is that?
Speaker 4 (19:36):
What?
Speaker 1 (19:37):
No?
Speaker 9 (19:37):
No, no, I think you're educated.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
I mean you you're on the radio.
Speaker 3 (19:40):
You captivate a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
You don't have to be educated for that, trust me,
it requires nothing, actually, But okay, so yeah, a lot
of people don't seem to know that I'm a tall,
relatively slender white man with gray hair. But anyway, it's
fine to believe what you want. Whatever. The hottest version
of me in your head is that's what I look like. Yes,
and that's what we need, Alicia. So let's play the
game here. It's three songs. Kinky just has to get
(20:06):
them right or wrong when I stopped this or get
them right? You tell us whether she's going to get
him right wrong when I stopped the song. Today's name,
by the way, is Kaylin's in Love playlist. So I
think it was last week that it was the sex playlist,
and now we've accessed another playlist of yours. It's that
