Speaker 2 (00:33):
This took me by surprise over the weekend. Bob Weir, guitarist,
vocalist and founding member of the iconic rock band The
Grateful Dead, died at seventy eight after a long battle
with cancer and related lung issues.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
I mean, I feel like, even if you don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Their music, the you know the Grateful Dad, you know
the Iconic Bears, like the Multi Colored Bears.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
I'm sure Kiki has a shirt yeah with the Bears
on it.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
But his journey began in the sixties in the San
Francisco music scene, and then he teamed up with icons
like Jerry Garcia, you know, of course, to form what
became the Grateful Bands, and they have been around for
six decades. I got to see them with John Mayer,
so I'm so glad that I was able to do that.
But rip to a legend, I mean, just an iconic band,

(01:22):
all right. So both Amanda Seafred Cifred, I don't even
know if that's how you say it, but I she
and Shampenn are both going viral for their behavior at
the Golden Globes last night, but the reasons are very different.
So for Amanda, she sort of unintentionally became a meme
when cameras caught her reaction to losing Best Actress in

(01:43):
a musical or comedy to Rose Byrne, and the clip
is going viral and she kind of quickly makes a
face before seemingly like forcing a smile and then clapping
and standing. But this split second moment launched, of course,
a thousand of takes online. People wanted to weigh in
now for what it's a body language expert thinks that
she was kidding, you know, how like I feel like

(02:04):
Jennifer Lawrence will do that a lot where she jokingly
acts like she's upset. But then later in the show,
people pointed out that Amanda appeared to clap before a
winner was announced and mouth what viewers saw as She's
not even here when Michelle Williams's name was called, and
she was not at the award show, So people are.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Lip reading this.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Vis award shows would be my worst nightmare because I
would get caught slipping so easily. But that's why people
are talking about Amanda now. As for Sean Penn, if
you hear his name today, and maybe because he just
started smoking SIGs inside at his table during the show.
So Vanity Fair claims a director literally saw Sean light
up inside the theater right at his table. He I

(02:47):
don't know, maybe he was stressed because Nicki Glazer said
that he was slowly morphing into a sexy leather handbag.
Was detected there and he's committed to the bit and
this is not If this is what was happening, this
is not the first time that this has happened. In
twenty eighteen, he smoked throughout an entire interview with Stephen Colbert.
He was also at a film festival in Marrakesh at

(03:10):
a press conference, and he smoked the whole way through
that too. So I guess when you're sean pain, you
can just light up inside. But yeah, there you go, Fred,
we have time for one more or a were training to.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
We're good, We're good.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
We're late anyway, so take.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
It away, Okay, I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Okay, So, Kiki, I want you to just take deep breaths,
oh boy, because this may get you. You're a new
Bears fan, so this may get you a little upset,
but just breethe so. Legendary broadcasters Dick Vitale, known for
calling college basketball, called Bear's coach Ben Johnson classless over
the weekend.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Wow. Yes, So the eighty six year old took to
social media, which never mind, proud of him for that
he got there.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Following the Bears wild card comeback over the Packers, which
we've been talking about all morning, criticizing Ben for a
profane post game rand where he repeatedly cursed at the Packers.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
You know, f the Packers, right, you know.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
His message wasn't about the comeback itself, but Chicago erased
a big deficit for its first playoff winning years. But
also how the victory was celebrated. So he did not
like the f the Packers thing. He thought it overshadowed
what should have been a story of grit and historic determination.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
He called him classless.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
All right, Dick, all right, how do we feel about
saying f other two?

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yes? First, first, a football fan, how do we feel.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
It's just a part of the game. It's a part
of the excitement, the adrenaline. Russian you know, screw the Packers. Okay,
now what Dick? You're standing with Ben? I'm standing with Ben.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
A lot of people online Ben started talking about, you know,
should coaches be trash talking?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Should it be taken to that place? Was that you?
Was that you or Paulina?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Everybody's too sensitive, as we just learned from Fred's blog,
everybody's too sensitive. Okay, Okay, if you can't scream at
your your team, what can you do?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
You know, we just yell, you know, we just yeah
when I'm in the locker room. Okay, there you go.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
If you want to get to put anything you missed
from the show, you can do so on the free
iHeart Radio.
