Standard message and data rates may apply. All thanks to
Live Nation. You know, I have a hot take. I'm
angry at the Chicago Bears. I'm angry at and they won,
and I'm still angry at them. Maybe I'll get to
that in a minute. It's too much up and down.
But Kiki said that she discovered football this weekend at
the the Ripe page of thirty something. You discovered it?

(00:48):
Explain this? You discovered football this weekend? How I get it?

Speaker 3 (00:52):
I finally understand why this is America's what past times
every they call it?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
Yes, No, I think that's baseball. Well, yeah, you know
what I meant.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I am in though I am finally understanding why for
years people have been running down the field, kicking and chasing.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
I never understood this.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Never was a fan, never understood, never enjoyed it, never
sat down.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
And watched a full game until this weekend. And now
I get it. Now I'm in. Now I want to
make chili in hotel. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
It is a new light in my life that I
never ever thought that I would ever be engaging in.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Like who am I? I don't know.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I want to order a jersey, Like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
My gosh, I am dating you because like literally, this
is the first weekend that he's like, wait, are we
watching the game?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Where are we watching the game?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
But are we doing?

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Like he.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Stayed up and watched it. I fell asleep.

Speaker 4 (01:51):
Like that is how locked in he was, like telling you,
I'm dating you just as a man here. You are
dating me, that for sure. So you guys, get in.
The Bears are good.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
I think that's what it is, like the Bear something
about this story.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You know, Yeah, but you live you've lived in in Chicago.
You've lived in Chicago when the Bears were good, So
I didn't know thirteen years ago there were pretty good
I mean, it took a while to get good again.
But you know, but but this isn't the first time
in your life that you've lived in a city where
the sports teams were good.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Okay, well, you know what, now I'm here, you know,
and I want to make up for lost time. So
I'm throwing the super Bowl party.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
A girl's gonna be a whole thing. You know what
I'm saying. It's it's the bunny ball and we're just
gonna have a good time.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I am in, y'all. I am locked in. And I
never understood this until this weekend.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
I don't know what it was.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I don't know what got me in it, but it
was like they were down and then I was I
was I was praying, and the next thing, you know,
they were winning, and I was just like, oh my god,
I'm here for the coach what's his name?

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Being?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah, yeah, what you think being? Okay?

Speaker 5 (03:01):
I discovered like water with fruit in it to flavor it, Like,
I don't understand what's happening right now.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
Yes, it was great.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yes, water tastes so good with this fruit.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Though, if you ever tried it with like a nice cucumber, maybe, like,
you know, God throw a couple of berries in there
and something like that.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It's delicious.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
You gets hurt of yoga, like, yes, bro, I am here,
I am here, and now I'm locked. You better, That's
what I say.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
You know, I'm sure they appreciate when they're down and
you weren't their fans.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
But now that they're good, yeah, sure?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Would you? Would you have liked it?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Would you be still saying this this morning if the
Bears had lost, because in this case we're talking about
the Bears game, I mean the Panthers had a close game.
Would you be did you watch that game? I mean
there were a lot of games, and the Bills had
a close game. You Would you feel the same way
about any team? Or is it just at the team
where you live? She ums to be doing well now
all of a sudden.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
I think it's the Bears. I really do.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
I felt I feel like the energy in the city
hasn't been like this ever. I've never felt like the
whole city is watching one thing together and we're all
excited together.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
It just felt that I could feel it in the air.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I don't know, yes, And then if your team lose
this this weekend, then is it over? Is this is
this interest over, this new found love that you have
for the America's pastime football, Wait for that heartbreak.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
I don't know, but you know what, I'm very hopeful.
And I feel like, because Mike the mechanic and I
are now on board, that we are really good luck
charms to this team, and so I think there's no
limit to what the Bears will do now that I'm
locked in.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
So honestly, I think we're going to the super Bowl.

Speaker 6 (04:34):
And I'm just being mechanic Mike and Pope Leo, I
think he was working all the time over time, you
can tell me otherwise, we.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Get a pope from Chicago and all of a sudden,
the Bears are pretty good coming.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Now do you understand how it works or where they're
running or why?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Or so for the life of me, I kept telling
my brother, I said, why is Caleb Williams sitting out.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Right?

Speaker 4 (05:06):
He needs to get in the game.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, you're right, he should get in the game.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
We needed it to be his turn. A little more.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
By his turn, I'm like, what do you mean his turn?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Like my brother was like, because there's an offense and
a defense, and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. And
so he explained it to me and I was like, okay,
fair enough. But you know, when Caleb got in there,
he did what needed to be done. And the other guy,
I don't know, it was another guy that was running
and kicking, and I.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Was just like, you know, I'm so proud of him
and kicking.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
There's a running guy, you know, Cairo Santos. If you
don't know any other player, know Cairo is happening.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
I'm so happy for you though. I'm so happy that
you found a new passion.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
It's crazy and I never thought this would be me ever.
I always drag girls because I feel like a lot
of my friends they pretend like they like football because
they want to be around the guy. You know, I
dated a football player, like I still don't understand what
was going on.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Dated a football play. Did you attend his game? I did?

Speaker 4 (06:07):
I did? Yes.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
All through high school and college, I never know nearly
as impassioned as you are now.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Not at all.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
I only cheer when his family was cheer because I
didn't know what was going on. I really was confused.
But now I'm locked in. I'm here.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, I'm happy for you. I'm happy for you. You know.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Look, I was gonna save the rant for later, but
like I pop off King, the games are always excited,
I would say mostly exciting this time of year because
they're you know, elimination games. It's the playoffs, so they
lose once they're they're out. So I feel like everyone
plays really hard. You win a few games, you went
up in the Super Bowl, you could win up a champion.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
But specifically though, if you watch the Chicago Bears game
against the Green Bay Packers, you don't have to be
a Bears fan, have watched that game because it's a
big rivalry game and if you know anything about it,
then you know that the Bears. You know, if you're
a Bears fan, you cannot lose to the Packers, especially
in Chicao.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
You just can't do it. Like it's terrible.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
And if we had, I think it would have been
I would have taken anything good about this season and
just everyone would have been mad. And you could tell
that by watching the first Oh, I don't know eighty
percent of the game, eighty five maybe ninety percent of
the game because we were losing badly. The Bears were
in this game and you could see on everyone's faces.
You could see Soldier field turning like people were angry,

(07:24):
like wait a minute, we got this far and now
we're gonna get blown out by these guys. And then like,
in the last five minutes of the game, what did
we score in the fourth quarter? We scored like twenty
three points or something and won the game, which is amazing,
And I'm so happy about that because you know, I'm
an adopted Bears fan. I moved to Chicago a long
time ago, and I was kind of homeless. I grew
up in Arizona. Football homeless. I should say I had

(07:46):
a home, but you know, football homeless. Cardinals were just it.
You couldn't attach yourself to that. There wasn't even any
like It's not like the Lions that were Caitlyn, You've
been a long suffering Lions fan. But there's like a
long history of generations of Lions fans. I don't know
if there's a long history of generations of Arizona Cardinals fans.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
I don't think there are.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
They weren't even the Arizona Cardinals were the Saint Louis
Cardinals at one point. Football anyway, whatever the case may be.
I just I get it. I moved here, and I
feel like people were born into this and they love it.
And I lived here when the Bears were good, and
I lived in Chicago when the Bears were bad, and
this town is so much better when sports teams are hitting,

(08:29):
and wherever you live and whatever your team is, you
got to agree with me. When sports teams are hitting,
everybody is happy. But my problem is we should have
lost that damn game. And then they're they're walking around
with all this swag at the end, like, ah, yeah,
we did it, you know, Blank, the Packers, the whole thing.
You guys, you put everybody through the worst night. The

(08:52):
range of emotions were unnecessary. If you can score twenty
three points in one quarter, why are we in this
situation ever? Stop it? Stop it, stop it. Like the
second half of the season, we were gonna lose every
game and somehow we wind up winning, which is amazing,
but stop it.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
And then Caleb Williams standing.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
There at the end like he's not even tired, like, oh, yeah,
you know, we probably should have played better, but.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Did it again?

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Stop it, stop it, You're so good, Just blow everybody out.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Stop it. I'm mad. I'm watching this game. I could
have turned it off.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
I think a lot of people did turn it off
and thought that the Chicago Bears had lost, and they won,
but they had to do it all in the last second.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Stop it.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
I had a friend who was actually at the game
and he left the stadium and he was on social
media like this sucks.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I'm so mad at us.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
And he left the game early and got in the
car and then was like, Okay, I'm sorry, guys.

Speaker 4 (09:47):
I see that.

Speaker 3 (09:52):
That was a funny like story to watch because it
was just like, look how mad you are. Look how
quick you turn on your team. See me, I would
never I'm riding with the Bears win and lose. But
he left the stadium. So yeah, it's just frustrating. And like,
you know, some dude, I saw some video early this morning.
I don't remember who it was because I was hav asleep,
but some kind in the packers like, oh, the Bears
didn't do anything, We just we collapsed.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Well that's true, you did.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
You'd give up twenty three points in a quarter and
you lost a game that you had handily won. I
don't know that I look at it that way. I mean, yes,
they collapsed, but then the Bears were exceptional. I just
don't get it, like, just be exceptional more, you know,
I mean, like why are we waiting till the end?
But it's not even like we did it this one time?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
Like what was it?

Speaker 2 (10:33):
The last five six games has been like this, They're
gonna lose again and then all the miraculously and then
they all and then calebly they even tired, like bro
used to be exhausted. It's like it's too easy. I
don't understand. Stop putting us through this. I'm like, I
love you and I'm so happy that this team is
winning and it's so much fun. And I know there

(10:54):
are people that you know, like I said, lifelong Bears
fans and multi generation and people are saying, well, they're
called the cardiac Bears seven comeback games, but you're you're
that good? So like why why are we so bad?
And then all of a sudden so good. I don't
get it, Like which one is it? I think it's
I think we're good actually, and I think that the

(11:16):
Bear is gonna be good for a long time. But
like whatever your team is, if you have every single week,
if you have to live through this, yes, it's exciting,
but then like, we're eventually going to lose a big
game this way because it's not gonna work out this
way every single time. Wait till we play the Seahawks
or something, or like, you know what I mean. We
can't do this every time.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
Oh no, man, you gotta have faith, you gotta believe.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Man, I'm just frustrated. I'm watching this game. I'm like,
I can't believe this.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
Man, this is a great season, and we're gonna lose
to the Packers and then everyone's gonna be mad, and
like you just what a waste?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
And then oh wait, let's just go ahead.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Real quick, score twenty four, just real quick, just a
couple of touchdowns, real quick. Oh good, we won? Wow,
better play better next time. I guess I don't know.
I can't be the only one who's just impassionate about it.
I it's twenty five points in the fourth quarter. Sorry,
twenty five points. Twenty five man, I don't think my

(12:14):
heart can handle it, is what I mean. And like,
if you saw my instant stories, I was like, this
is bad, and then like two hours later that was exceptional.
I went from calling my therapist to drinking for good reasons,
not bad reasons like I normally do. So, I don't know,
does no one else Your Kiki's over here celebrating, jumping

(12:36):
up and down because you watch something that was truly exceptional.
I'm over here going I'm tired of seeing this like
just blow he like they start winning, like play well.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
The whole time, right from the beginning, right.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
That's all I'm saying, quit doing this to us up front.

Speaker 6 (12:51):
Yes, when you're like at a party two and then
like the vibes like they're.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
Going in waves, I don't like that. I want to
be on a high all time. So I agree with you, Fred,
I'm gonna ride with you on this one. I'm sure
that's what they want to. You know, players make it happen.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
I'm sure they do too, But isn't that someone in
there control. I don't know how you go from being
so average to so exceptional and then just turning it
off and doing it over and over again.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
That's my problem.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Someone says, stop complaining, you know how many years of
being up until the fourth quarter and then blowing the
game we had to watch.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
That's true too. I mean that's true too.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
I just if it were if it were one game,
I would say, wow, whoof we got lucky there. It's
a bit of a theme this season, and I'm I'm
just saying stop it at all.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
I so understand, like what's happening with you right now?
And I stand with you, my brother, I get it.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Thank you, I hear you. I'm grateful. I mean again
and again.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Not everyone lives in Chicago, but if you've lived in
a team in a city where your team was doing
exceptionally well, I mean, what ten years ago the Panther
has went to a super Bowl that was such an
exciting time. Even this weekend in Charlotte where our show
is on. It was exciting because they had exceeded experts
and it was electric like it was awesome. And I'm
happy for that wherever, wherever you were, Baseball, whatever sport

(14:05):
it is. I mean, black Hawks have been good, Cubs
have been good in my time living in Chicago, Socks,
I'm sure we'll be good again. It's one of those things.
It's better when your teams are firing. Quit playing with
my emotions. And I know Caitlin knows this because because
this is what the Lions they're They're good and good
and good and good until they have to be good

(14:27):
and then they're bad.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Well, I mean we got knocked out right before the
Super Bowl last year, so you can imagine the pain
that I was going through on.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
That walk home. I walked home from the bar, like, man,
I sat on a bench like I didn't know. I'm
not even joking, Like I like truly, like where do
I go from here?

Speaker 5 (14:43):
I had my Nana's ashes because I thought we were
gonna have this moment and it was.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Just us on that bench and Kiki just discovered this
and she thinks every game is like this. I wish
every game we're not like that.

Speaker 4 (14:54):
I don't know, man, it is a great story, great story.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
Oh man.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
Yeah, anyway, I'm going to play a song now, I'm
gonna take it. I mean, my breathing was getting weird
at the end of that game. I'm like, do I
need to consult a physician or something.
