Speaker 1 (00:00):
What a friend.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
It's Keiki Relive in Lallapalooza. Shout out to Innovations High
School and look.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Who is here?

Speaker 3 (00:05):
What's up? Dude? Thanks for having me appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Thanks for stopping by, man, I know, I mean, I
don't get to stand next to you, know Grammy Award winners,
Oscar winners, not every day.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
But it's good to have you here.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I was very nice to you.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
You just celebrated a birthday.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I did your celebrated birthday? Just turned twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Okay, Now you and my sister share the same birthday,
so for her birthday, okay.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yes, and very much. I leo.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
We were out in Hawaii FI warning.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
But oh yeah, how did you celebrate?

Speaker 4 (00:32):
I was not in Hawaii, but I did not have
to fight the tsunami warning pros and there's cons.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
I kept you really low key because we flew out
the next day to play these shows. So initially I
was going to have a party.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Then I was like, oh my god, if I have
a crazy party, I'm going to go play the shows.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
I'll be wrecked.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
But I saved my energy for the lovely people of Chicago.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
Oh nice, I mean Lallapalooza.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
So many people here and you you rock stages all
the time, but like, when you have a stage this big,
how did your fans?

Speaker 1 (00:59):
How should they like prepare?

Speaker 4 (01:01):
Oh it's a good question. I mean, I'm really excited
to be here. I feel like when you're in good
company on a festival, there's like, yeah, so many artists
that I love, whether I know them personally, like the
Maria's or Walla's played the other day, like, or artists
that I'm not, you know, friends with, but I'm a
fan of. Ok, it's just a real treat to to
sort of share this festival. I feel like the bang
for your buck if you're a you know, audience member

(01:22):
and you like bought your ticket, you get to see
this artist and this artist is like that's the magic.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Of a festival.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
True.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
And when there's so many stages here Lallapalooza, and when
we think about it, I would love to know who
would be your dream LALLA set, Like if you had
to book four artists for your own Lallapalooza, who would
be on the lineup If I.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Were booking my own Lollapalooza. Yep, right now, let's see.
I mean like Daft Punk Reunion be really cool. Okay,
Outcast Reunion be really cool. I'm a big fan of Cake.
I would I'd really fuck with a Cake Lollapalooza set.
And then let's see who else would be cool. I

(01:59):
mean maybe like I've been listening to a lot of
Casey musk Graves this year.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Yeah, okay, they see how fine as Yes? Okay, but
you didn't say Billy, we gotta put Billy on the
set now?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
I mean, listen, I didn't want to.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I didn't want to press Billy into service, right, but yeah,
I mean who doesn't love a billy set?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Absolutely?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Now, Working so closely with your sister has to be
like wild sometimes, right or is.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
It so funky? I mean like there's not a person
I love more. Yep, So I feel like, yeah, anything
all the winds. Anytime we're having a challenging creative day,
it's like it's still the person I want to be
with the most.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
Absolutely.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Now.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
When you talk about siblings, though, we all want to
know who gets to the studio last, Like who's always
late to the studio?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
You are?

Speaker 4 (02:42):
You know, she's a little she's not always late, but
her time awareness is crazy. So she's like sometimes she's
like thirty minutes late, and sometimes she's like thirty minutes early,
which is also crazy. Like I think being early is
just as strange as being like, you know what I mean,
like not five minutes earlier, but like if you're like, oh,
she's fourty five minutes early. So I usually just kind

(03:02):
of like when it's when she's supposed to come, I
just am prepared. I'm just like ready for her to
either way earlier. Figured out the studios at my house though,
so I'm usually there.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Oh what else? Easy? Yeah, it's easy. Who can keep
a secret better you are Billy me.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
By a million miles yea. Billy's like compulsively honest, Billy,
I'll tell you, Like she's just like we'll confess it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, okay, last one about the siblings, now, who spends
the most money?

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Who's the big spender? You or Billy?

Speaker 4 (03:30):
I mean, I feel like the thing that we both
do too much is just like door Dash and Postmates,
Like that's the area where I feel like guilty about
my expenditures.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
But I'm not very like I'm not very stylish or cool.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
And Billy gets her clothes kind of for free, so
like I don't neither of us spend you know what
I mean. I'm wearing like this is like one of
my five shirts. My one is my one of my
two pairs of boots. Like I'm very like I have
almost nothing.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
So if I need a loan, I know who to call.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Okay, yeah that's what I But I only got a couple.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Of seconds with you, so I gotta I gotta make
the most of this moment. And I just want to
write a song. Can we be four lines?

Speaker 3 (04:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:07):
All right, I'll kick it off. Yeah, take the next line.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, all right, it's key key and we here and
la la phineas is here.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
I feel like I wanted to rhyme with the word
speak easy because it sounded like a cute little line. Yeah,
that's as close as I can come. Let's what's your
third line?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
All right? So we're gonna get some drinks and party.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
You know that Audrey Hobert song where she's like I
saw you at the party drinking a Coca and bocardo.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yeah, you ate that. It's not my line, it's Audrey's line.
Shout out Audrey.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Hobert, shout out, We gotta get that approved. That's a
hit record right there.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
I think so. I think we just did it, Phineas,
Thank you so much.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Mistad, thanks for having me, and congrats on making it.
Toward the end of the weekend, we're almost there. Yeah,
home stressed the thanks man,

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
