Speaker 1 (00:00):
Take it away, all right, dear blog, So you guys,
I am making my return to Atlanta this weekend.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Are you getting a hotel room this time? That's what
it is.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
So this time I will have a hotel.

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Room, because if you recalled last year, she went to
Atlanta and tried to do a trip for a weekend
without a hotel. She intended to intentionally sleep at the airport.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yes, it was just because it was like a go,
you know, one day trip, go and come right back.
So I tried to sleep in the whole I mean
in the airport, and I met some very interesting, strange
characters that you know, I was very terrified of. So
I will not be sleeping in the airport this time.
You can rest assure I do.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Have a room.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
But I was scrolling and just thinking about my upcoming trip.
Hotel check in. We need to address this, Okay, worse,
I would like to actually address America because we need
to band together to fix this. You want me to
check in at three pm, okay, but then you want
me to check out by eleven am. How does the

(01:00):
math math? Because if I'm renting a room or whatever right.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Now, when you say when you say rent a room.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
That implies something very different.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
What is the order in a room?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
What am I doing? Yeah, I'm looking at room ye reserve.
I don't know a hotel reservation when you have.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
A Yes, I don't think it's fair that I have
to wait until three pm, four pm to check in,
but then literally at ten fifty five they call their
room phone, like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
That's the other thing, Kiki is.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
And I don't fault uh, you know hotel employees for this,
but like I was in a hotel a couple weeks ago,
you know, my New York trip. Of course I got
my New York because you got to buy a Yankee
set when you're in New York. Apparently I did, at least,
even though I don't generally can't stand the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
But it came with your bagel. That's yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
I had to get the bagel, and I had to
get that. I had to get all the New York
stuf while I was in the smear and the pizza.
And I don't blame anybody for this because they're just
trying to get their stuff done. But they start knocking
on your door like eight o'clock, yes, like I had
until eleven o'clock to check out and they're they're banging
on my door at seven thirty. Surprise, I'm not gone.
Oh sorry, we'll come back. You come back, come back.
I'm asleep, I'm naked. Oh it's seven thirty in the morning.

(02:11):
I realize they're holding You know, it's like travel and
during the week, and a lot of business people have
already gone to work, and so they're gone, they're out
of the room. I get all that, and they want
to get the room clean and don't have to be
there all day. It's fine, but like you tell me,
I gotta be out by eleven, and you're kno going
on my door at nine. I got two hours, thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Not only but only that if I check in at three,
I should be able to check out at three. Let's
figure this out.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
How they're gonna flip the rooms though, that we.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
All can't be checking in at the same vibe. Like,
let's stagger the times in. Let me check in at
five pm and then I check out at five pm,
and then there's a three pm group and there's a
two pep.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
That's interesting. Come on, it should be it should be
tied to when you check in. So like if you
check in at ten, then maybe you should you get
twenty four hours, maybe you should have to be out
by ten.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Well, it's because a holes and don't respect.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
The time they have to check out and sometimes stay longer,
and then they have to clean the room and get
it ready for you, and so it's people not being respectful.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
But even if we all be respectful, Okay, I'm still
paying for a full day even though I can't check
you into three pm. You are in a resort fee
when there's what I'm saying, Yeah, I probably don't work.
There's a lot going on here.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
The fees you pay for the night, You don't pay
for the day. You pay for the night.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So oddly, yah, don't get me started on resort fee. Right,
where's the resort I'm at the I'm at the airport Marriott,
you know what I'm saying. But you know in Cincinnati
or exactly. And it's like, oh that you know, the
room was advertised for two hundred dollars, but when I
get there, it's three hundred.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Why is it three hundred?

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
This is eight dollars resort fee for the gym. Oh,
trust me, I will not be attendant. Ade yes, over
the indoor pool, you know, with all the with all
the you know chlorine in it.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, you can use that.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Well, what if I'm not going to Well, you're still
paying that's so then charge me to eighty then, right,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
I don't forget the deposit, you know, yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I just feel like, you know we're gonna pay all
this money. We need to work on this check in
and check out time.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
When do you want them to clean the rooms the
whole twenty four hours?

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I want you to clean the room when I'm not
in there, which is after three o'clock. No, I don't
want to check out at eleven. Let me check out
at three.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Step in, but then the next person can't check it
in till nine o'clock at nighttime.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
The first floor, right, everybody check out at one the
second floor. I don't know, but we need to come
up with something.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
That's why you say at the airport there, get you
one of them pods. I wouldn't see you getting one
of those pods.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Listen, I need something, Okay, if I could stand in
the pod till three pm.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
In to work for me, and people are saying check
for bed bugs and all this stuff, I don't know
what it is about hotels, but I try and pick
like decent hotels. I'm a little bit of a hotel
stop there. I feel like there are two kinds of
attitudes about travel. There are the people who don't spend
any money on a hotel because they're like, I'm not
gonna be I'm gonna be out. For me, it's if
I can afford it. It's part of the experience. Yes,
Like for me, the nicest hotel I can afford is

(05:07):
what I'm going to book, even if I'm not gonna
be there for a long time, because when I do
come back, I don't know. I just think it's part
of the travel. And people have different attitudes on this
and that's fine. But I people are like, check for
bed bugs, check for this, check the towels, check for this.
I'll be honest for whatever reason when I go to
the hotel, I let Jesus take the wheel. Every other
part of my life I'm completely OCD and I over

(05:28):
I check and clean and all this stuff. What am
I gonna do? Like if there's if I slept in
the bed for an hour his bed, but I got
bed bug, what am.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
I gonna do?

Speaker 3 (05:36):
I know, but what I'm saying is like, what I'm
saying is I can look up and down the entire room.
I can look everywhere, and I still miss it, and
it's still gonna happen because I'm saying in that room,
so I don't know if the towel's nasty, or there's
there's a hair in the shower or what I mean,
you know, or if there's a boogeyman in the closet.
I don't check under the bed. I know people that
go through the entire room looking under the bed, looking

(05:58):
in the closet, look at for cameras, look at her.
I mean, you know what you want to see me
walking around naked?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
So be it. I have at it, enjoy m hmm.
I don't. I think you game higher, is what I
would say. And I don't know. For whatever reason, it's like, oh,
you go check for this, you go check for that.
What about you know?

Speaker 3 (06:14):
I might look at the bed to see if the
sheets look nasty, right, but I don't know. I'm definitely
not getting a magnifying glass, because you know what, when
you look hard enough in a hotel room, you are
bound to find something.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Oh yes, your feelings will be hurt.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
You gonna find something in every room. So I guess
for whatever reason, I just I don't know. I just
let myself go in a hotel.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Plus, I know what I've done in hotel rooms, and
I can't assume that everybody else hasn't done it too.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
So it is what it is. You know you wouldn't.
It's funny.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
You wouldn't walk around like on the streets barefoot, but
you'll walk around a hotel barefoot, which is probably no
way nastier people do.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
I walk around a hotel. You got a shower? What
do you do? Put socks on immediately?

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yes, I have little show.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I'll just do it. I do too. It's like, you
know what it is? Fifty five degrees is probably dead.
Whatever that's that's the thing. You go in there. You
turn the thing as four times, it will go boom. Sanitize.
Problem solved. Waiting on the phone. You've got a
