Speaker 2 (00:36):
Thanks for calling, Thanks for reaching out to us about
waiting by the phone. People can hit us at Fred
Show Radio on Instagram, fred Show radio dot com. Tell
us what's going on and we'll try and help. So
you met a woman named Tara? How did you meet?
The standard stuff? We gotta know how you met? About
any dates you've been on? And then why you think
you're being ghosted?
Speaker 3 (00:53):
Sure? Sure, well we met in a holiday bar. We
were there with I guess.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Our respective friend groups to speak and I saw her
and and I kind of befriended her friends, you know.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Made a good impression on them because I knew that
helped me in the long run. And uh and it did.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
And so when I got around to talking to her
and everybody was treating me like.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
I'm pretty cool, I didn't waste any time.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
I just you know, pretty much told her I wanted
to go out with her to a dinner date and
I and I did the next day and she said, okay.
So I was like, all right, it's sweet, you know,
get right to the point.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
The date was was a blast. I had a great
time and she did too. And then she asked me
for a ride home. So I thought, okay, she.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Feels comfortable, maybe wants to spend more time with me.
You know, everything's pointing in the right direction.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
So so yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Took her back, and uh, you know, she hasn't answered
uh two texts I sent her and a phone call before.
I was like, oh gosh, So I can't help it
to wonder what I could have went wrong.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
So that's why I'm reaching out to.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
You guys to it.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, it's hard to walk up to a group of
women that's bold, you know, And it was smart to
sort of get in with the friends while targeting one
of them, because.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, yeah, you kind of have to go that way otherwise,
otherwise you get.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
The blocks, you know.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
But I give you credit for that. And then you
got the date, so that's also a good sign. Except
you haven't heard anything since then, and you feel like
you're being ghosted. So we're going to play a song
come back, call Tara. You'll be on the phone at
the same time, and the hope, as always is that
we can figure out what's going on and set you
guys up on another date that we pay for.
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Perfect.
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Hey, Damien, yep, all right, let's call Tara. You met
it at one of these holiday theme bars and she
was with friends and you were with friends, and you
approached the group and you talk to everybody, You got
her number. You guys went on a date that you
thought went really well. In fact, you even you said
you took her home after the date, which I mean
that's kind of show the level of comfort I think.
Except you have called and you have texted since then,
(02:57):
and she has not responded, and you want to know
why exactly. Let's call her now. Good luck, Damien, thank you? Hello, Hi,
is this Tara, Hey Sarah, good morning. My name is
(03:18):
Fred and I'm calling for the Fred Show. It's the
morning radio show, and I do have to tell you
that we are on the radio right now and I
need your permission to continue with the call. Can we
chat for just a second. You can hang up anytime.
Thank you very much. We appreciate that we're calling on
behalf of a guy named Damien, who I'm sure you
remember he walked up to you at a bar and
you guys recently went on a date.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
Yes, okay, what happened with him?
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Because we chad it with him just a second ago
and he said, you know, gave us the whole backstory
about how I walked up to your friend group and
I guess asked you out and you guys went on
a date and says that he can't get a hold
of you now.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
So why are you not responding?
Speaker 3 (03:57):
God?
Speaker 5 (04:00):
I okay, I'm not calling him back basically because he
called his mom crying during our date.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
So why we will? First of all, okay, well, I
have a couple questions. Why was he crying and why
did he call his mom?
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Okay, well, I don't know how much he told you guys.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
So yeah, you know how that you went out and
then he drove you home. That's it. That's all we know.
Speaker 5 (04:32):
Okay, I mean yeah, the date itself was really fun,
but yeah, it was just when we were on the
way home, I asked him to give me a ride
because we live pretty close to each other, and yeah,
that just ended up being a total trip.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (04:52):
Basically he got pulled over, which I don't care about.
You know that happens, but it was just really basically
the way he handled it. He like started freaking out
and hyperventilating and then it was like the cop went
to check his license and that's when he got on
(05:13):
the phone and he called his mom. He was just
like sobbing and I was just like I a thirty
four year old man crying like this, I'm sorry, I can't.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
So and he was skating or was he? Like what
did he have like, you know, bags of coke in
the car? I mean like, well, I mean what what
what did he.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Get pulled over? What did you get pulled over?
Speaker 3 (05:33):
For? All?
Speaker 5 (05:35):
He missed the stop sign and he got pulled over.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
He was going to get a ticket for it, and
so he called his mom. With you in the car
and cried about it. Yes, okay, let me bring I
forgot you mentioned the damien is here, the criminal.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Damien. I'm so forgetful. I forgot. So you you got.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
You got pulled over for a minor traffic infraction, and
your first stought is to call your mom cry.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
I mean, that's that's she's that's an exaggeration, like that's
that's crazy to me to.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Even hear that.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
I I wasn't crying.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
There's no way I was crying.
Speaker 4 (06:10):
I was just there was there was a I had
some I had a different violence before, and I was
not crying. I was I was I thought I had
I thought it was possible I had a warrant out
because I had I had another ticket that I didn't pay,
and I had some stuff at the court that I
had to deal with. And so when I got pulled over,
I was freaked out because I thought that I might,
you know, get arrested or something, and then she wouldn't
(06:33):
have a ride. And it was, you know, going to
be an embarrassing thing.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
What is there a potential warrant out for you, one
that would require you being pulled out of the court.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Only it was it had nothing It was just because
I had missed a court date and I had to
call up the courts and I had to make a
payment and I was supposed to come in, So why
did you.
Speaker 1 (06:51):
Let's get it was it.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Was a different court.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
It was nothing. It was like another court. It was
just another violation. It was for a fix it ticket
that I didn't fix. So I was just freaked out
because I thought, oh my gosh, I could go to jail,
which wasn't the case. And you know, my mom knew
about it, because you know, it doesn't even matter why
but I called it because mothers usually know what to say.
So I just needed someone to talk to real quick.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
It wasn't a big deal.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Most people don't care if somebody with their mother.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
I love a close relationship with mom, but you know,
you're a grown up and she's a grown up, and
she probably could have helped you in that moment. I mean,
I will say that there are people who have gotten
in you know, police chases, and they do drive to
their mom's house as their last stime.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
So it's not strange exactly I've seen before.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah, I was freaked out.
Speaker 4 (07:41):
I was freaked out for a second because I thought
oh my gosh, I don't know if there's possibly a
warrant out And then I just thought like getting in
handcuffs and stuff and how so I was just freaking.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Out, but I didn't. But then when everything was fine
and I didn't have.
Speaker 4 (07:58):
Anything out there, the it had nothing to do with
They couldn't arrest me for it was just the payment
that I had to pay.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Okay, So I was fine. That's at first. I don't
know I've ever had anyone almost arrested. Maybe it's possible
in all these years. But so he's an emotional guy,
got a little scared, yeah, getting locked up, and so
he called mom. Hey, here's the good news, Tara. The
guy's got a great relationship with his mom. Sometimes that's
(08:24):
a good thing, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
I'm sorry. I got the ick in in a big
way in that moment when I saw you reacting that
way to the situation. It's just one of those things
that I can't reverse this point.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Yeah, you know my mom, I told her, I told
her the situation.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
She she's she said the same thing.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
So she was right, So proves me right.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Oh what that she wasn't for you? TERA's not for
you because mom, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:51):
Because she was like she couldn't because she couldn't handle me, Like, yeah,
having your.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Mother in the relationship is.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
No for me to clear. Now why this might be good?
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Good luck, good luck finding somebody who's stable and nice?
Speaker 1 (09:10):
Then are you?
Speaker 3 (09:14):
I mean, I don't know about the stability though.
Speaker 5 (09:17):
You you really kind of crumbled.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I think you can be and and not necessarily call
your mom over a traffic ticket. But hey, that's that's
why you do it, and it's not for terra, So
I'm sorry you do it. That's how you do things, man,
and and and you do you no judgment, minimal judgment,
but sorry, yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
I think I dodged the bullet, is all I'm saying. Whatever,
you know what. My mom doesn't even like your show.
Speaker 5 (09:45):
Either, so okay, yeah, ruined?
Speaker 1 (09:49):
Yeah, are you let me ask? Is there any emotion?
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Now?
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Are you gonna hang up and call her?
Speaker 4 (09:55):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I am Yeah, Okay, that's sur pribably Yeah, yeah, let's
we'll see. Hate wasn't the worst. She doesn't like our show.
So guys, thank you very much for your time. I
wish you both the best of luck.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Thank you
