Speaker 1 (00:00):
This portion of the Joe Show podcast is powered by
Farrah and Farrah, Tampa accident attorneys. This is iHeartRadio's WFLZ
Tampa Bay.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
The Joe Show has all the news and info you need.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Top stories at the top of the hour with Katie Summers.
It was a suspected lightning strike that sparked a fire
at the Authentics Suncoast Apartments in Brooksville. Firefighters quickly knocked
down the blaze, which damaged four units, displaced 34 residents. Thankfully,
no injuries were reported, and the complex management, they're helping

(00:33):
the displaced residents find shelter.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Is it just because, like, you know, like, when I
wanted a red car, I sort of didn't notice every
car in the road was red? Is lightning more destructive lately?
Or am I just noticing more headlines?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
This is the third one that we've heard of someone
getting struck by lightning.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Two people died. And then the Wesley.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Chapel apartment complex. They're still looking into it. They're looking
into it because with the Wesley Chapel one, it's because
of the fire detectors.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
They didn't go off. It's a very official way to
describe it. But I don't know. I'll keep you posted
on this. That's why I don't go outside now when
it's thunder and lightning. I'm getting scared. Katie was almost like, hey,
you might want to go in the house.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
When the thunder roars, you go indoors. I don't play
with thunder like that or lightning.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
So it was on CBS Mornings, Dolly Parton's sister, Stella Parton,
confirmed that the Lake Country icon actually hid her cancer
diagnosis from most of her family members.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Take a listen.

Speaker 5 (01:34):
Dolly did not want anybody to tell that because Dolly
could not bear negative things. And she would not have
wanted her fans worried about it. She didn't want a
lot of the family worried about it. Some of us knew,
the ones of us that were closer.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
That wasn't her?

Speaker 5 (01:54):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
That was her sister. Don't they sound so similar?

Speaker 1 (01:57):
So similar.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
She's a takeover.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Does she look like Dolly?

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Call her Jolly.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Jolly party.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
And finally, Sydney Sweeney. She is turning up the heat
thanks to her NoVig campaign.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I'll be the judge of that.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Wait, what? NoVig? NoVig.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
N-O-V-I-G. It's a sports betting app, trading app.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
Like Cal Sheer, predicted or whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Is she naked in it? Pretty much. Sydney Sweeney collaborated.

Speaker 6 (02:27):
What are you talking about?

Speaker 3 (02:29):
For the ad, and it showed her playing a series
of sports, but she doesn't have any clothes on.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 7 (02:35):
Come on.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
The equipment is very strategically covering things up.

Speaker 6 (02:39):
You can't exit out of it without jewelry.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
No, he wanted to see.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
He's going to save it. Marked his favorites.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I didn't say, oh, no. I said, hello.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Here, listen to this.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
No betting on wars or deaths and no politics. Just you.
Your takes.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
And sports.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
And sports.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
And sports.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
And your takes. Yeah. Listen, cash that check, honey, but seriously,
I'm not mad at it.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I'm in it to win it.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
What's that called again? He's already downloaded the app.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Do you think Chumbo will have me recreate that?

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Hey, that would be cool.

Speaker 6 (03:22):
I'd pay to see that.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You don't have to. You already have. We're sharing a
hotel room, remember?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Oh, it's true.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
And you can get all Joe Show news and content
on our free iHeartRadio app, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, and TikTok.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
Just search The Joe Show. Make sure to like, subscribe,
and share.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
I love this. I love this so much. We're live
from Walt Disney World. Nothing better than being live from
Walt Disney World. Because you, you get to go with us.
I mean, you want to have annual passes? Does annual
passes sound good? Because that is what you are able
to win this morning. 740. If you missed it, I
did give out a hint. I did give out a

(04:01):
hint for the secret sound. You can check that out
on the podcast. We've got there. Search the Joe Show
on 93.3 FLZ. If we don't get a winner at 740,
I'll give out another hint. I want to get a
winner today. Let's make this thing happen. Along with that
War of the Roses. Catching cheaters and proud of it.
It was crazy. Last week, Tuesday before I went up

(04:24):
for the funeral, we had 1.2 million streams. 1.2 million streams.
unworthy roses i think that i could be wrong one
point is kind of a tough number to get to
but can we get to one point three uh... the
handsy co-worker we've got that I didn't really have an

(04:47):
opinion on it, but now everyone else has one, and
I want to have one. And we're live on 93.3 FLZ.
It's the Joe Show. I haven't cared about the Apple.
Remember when it used to be such a big deal
when Apple would have the press conferences and stuff like that?

Speaker 6 (04:59):
The keynotes, yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
And they'd be like, hey, introducing a phone where you
can touch it, and then you can go on the Internet,
and you can, I don't know, be horny online. You know,
we've got a watch now with camera.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
Listen.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
It's been the same stuff for the last couple of years.
They just changed the iPhone color, and I'm a sucker,
so I always get it. Things are different now. And
if you've got an Android, you probably already flip it, right?
So the iPhone now flips and whatnot. And the only
reason why we're talking about it is it got brought

(05:37):
up this morning before the show, and everyone had such
a strong opinion on it. Is it that big of
a deal?

Speaker 8 (05:44):
It looks really... I'm sorry, Joe. It looks really tacky.
It's the iPhone Duo.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Ew.

Speaker 4 (05:50):
And.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
Looks like a pop pilot. And it starts off at $ 2, 000.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Starts.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah, that's lame.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
All right.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
So just for the sake of the conversation, because I
won't be spending two grand on quite literally anything. Wouldn't
it be awesome to hang up on someone and slam
that phone shut?

Speaker 6 (06:08):
Theatrically.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Just to, like, if Katie gets mad at her fiancé
and just, like.
Yep.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Clip.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I'm done with you.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Snap it shut. But I would immediately break it. So
that's the problem. There's room for error. It's too big.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Yeah, let's see. Checking out the highlights.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Hold on.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
I just think that it's... Just get an iPad. It's
like the size of an iPad. A mini iPad.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
I just.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Why do you want your phone to fold?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Because if I get mad at someone, I can click it.
I can go click.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
Wait, what?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Like, if I could do that... And by the way,
I don't care about the features. So you don't have
to know that this is not some tech show.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
You can slam this down.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
You can't.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
No, you can't do that. Like, I want to be like,
you know... I'm trying not to swear because we're at Disney.
I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Be like, you... Shut it down.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
You want, want.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Yeah, I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
I just think it's a waste of money to upgrade. Yeah,
I think it's... Again, it looks like a Palm Pilot.
It also looks like a mini iPad. Just a very,
very tiny iPad. And that's exactly what it is. Why
don't we just bring back the iPod? I might get
it just for music.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
You bitch.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
That's how I can get around it.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
That's how I can get around it. I'm not trying
to say you're a sucker, Joe.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
The watch is nice, I ain't gonna lie. The watches
are nice.

Speaker 8 (07:41):
Just by the marketing behind this. Ooh, a 50% larger display.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
And I don't know if anyone else feels this way.
In 800-493-93, we always want you to co-host the Joe Show.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
And all of that.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I'm a sucker for anything new. The moment you tell
me it's new, give me 12 of them.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Dude, it was so bad in high school when I
wanted something new. If my best friend, the Navy, got
anything new, I'd call my mom. I'm like, hey, the
Navy got this new shirt. I got to get a
new shirt.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
My friend Logan. My friend Logan McGill. He did all
the cool new stuff. All I wanted was something cool.
I wanted the razor. I remember the Envy.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
Yeah. Or the chocolate. I had the chocolate.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
I had the Envy orange. Orange Envy.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
You look at orange.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
And I wanted a new phone. My parents wanted to
get me one, so I broke it. I threw it
to the ground.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Threw it to the ground when I was at school.
I went back home. I showed my parents. I go,
I dropped it. And it blew up. And my dad said,
you threw that.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
I know you did.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
You don't have a phone anymore.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
So, guys, when he comes into the studio with his
new phone on Monday, we know because he threw it
and he broke it. He just wanted a new one.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Got it.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Thank you for telling us that story.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Bitch.

Speaker 6 (08:56):
Oh, hang up on you.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
And if I could click it, I'd be down with it.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Yeah, I do miss kind of hearing the click.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
I do.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
You don't have that anymore. It's just either.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Nothing.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
You just had the.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
I just, you know, it's a no for me.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
Which doesn't hit. What if they, I mean, since we're
doing the whole Foldy thing, what if they decide, like, hey,
we're going to give you a plug-in where you can
plug in, like, a real, like, handheld phone?

Speaker 2 (09:27):
They do have that.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Huh?

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Like a rotary phone?

Speaker 9 (09:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Whoa, whoa, what?

Speaker 6 (09:31):
They do not have a rotary phone plug-in.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Well, you can plug it in your phone, and you
can talk.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
I've been doing it.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
I'm going to get you one.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I just like anything that I can show more of
my emotion.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Uh-huh.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
When you're upset, when you're excited.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:44):
But, yeah, I don't think this is the phone for you,
because even the outside, it looks like glass, and, like,
you would throw it.

Speaker 8 (09:49):
It looks like you're about to pull out a Bible
for Bible study.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
It does.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Can you imagine Joe opening his phone to check a
text message? I'm like, what are you doing?

Speaker 6 (09:58):
Now reading from St. Paul to the Bible. the Corinthians.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
And you've got to use both hands. Do you want
to use both hands on your phone?

Speaker 6 (10:04):
You know how to use both hands.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah, you can't use both hands.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
I can't, yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
Wait a second.

Speaker 8 (10:07):
There's only one thing you can focus on.

Speaker 6 (10:10):
Two things at once.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
You guys want to talk about snoring or do you
guys want to talk about a creepy guy at a restaurant?

Speaker 6 (10:22):
What are we talking about with the snoring?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You want to be attacked right now?

Speaker 1 (10:27):
I'll take it. I'll take my lashings. What do you
got for me, Joe? Okay, Jed and I are sharing
a room. I said this before, and I do have it.
I don't know if he'll be able to hear it,
but this is Jed. We are sharing a room as
we're broadcasting live from Walt Disney World.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
Also, think about how creepy this is. This man is
recording me in my sleep in the middle of the night.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Okay, but is it dark?

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Lights are off.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
There you go.

Speaker 6 (10:55):
You can see my packer.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
Oh, jeez.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
Sounds like a lawnmower.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
The garbage disposal. Okay, and now here's the deal. We
had a really long day yesterday. We were running around,
doing a bunch of stuff, ate good food, drank good drinks.
So I get it. You're tired and you need to sleep.
I just want to know, 800-409-9393, you got a man

(11:31):
who snores a lot? Because if you do, I would
love to figure out what the hell I can do tonight.
Because I got to get a good sleep tonight. But
I also need to make sure that Jed gets a
good sleep. Like, I can't.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, you can't wake him up if he's snoring.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
It's just as much my room as it is his room.

Speaker 3 (11:52):
Gentle suggestions. I have found that works because, yes, my fiance, Sean,
is a snorer.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
He is?

Speaker 6 (11:57):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
And it will wake me up.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
So I'm like, do you need a pillow? Because I'm like,
if I prop him up. Like Weekend at Bernie's?

Speaker 6 (12:05):
Wait, you pop him up to keep him from snoring?

Speaker 1 (12:07):
I also love how it's a gentle suggestion, but you're like,
do you need a pillow?

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Yeah, do you need a pillow? And then he'll be like, oh, yeah.
And then you just put a pillow in there and.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
He'll start to sleep. Does a pillow work?

Speaker 4 (12:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Why is that?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Because what's causing you to snore most, it's your little
hangy down punching bag thing in the back of your throat.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
Your tonsils? Epiglottis?

Speaker 6 (12:30):
Oh, I thought it was your uvula.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
The little tangy downy thing. I thought, is he talking
about a vulva?

Speaker 6 (12:35):
I'm talking about a vulva.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
Wait, what? No.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
You're talking about a vagina?

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Yeah, I was like, uh, a vulva.

Speaker 6 (12:42):
A little vagina talk? No, that's the labia.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
And I think it, like, covers your breathing hole, so it's, like, going... Really?
So you sit up and sleep like this, and you're fine.

Speaker 6 (12:52):
Katie, you've seen her so many times.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
You hear her sound effects are, like, spot on.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
I'm worried about your health.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
Why?

Speaker 6 (13:01):
Well, you and my girlfriend both, which I guess is valid.
Because it is.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
It is like, it's kind of aggressive snoring.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
What is your girlfriend saying?

Speaker 6 (13:08):
Oh, she hates my snoring.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Have you thought about maybe doing like a sleep apnea thing?

Speaker 6 (13:14):
I really don't. My dad has it.

Speaker 8 (13:17):
I wonder if I have it at times, but I
really don't want to have to wear a freaking mask
or put a mouth guard in.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Hey, Jasmine. Yes. Hi, Jasmine. Jasmine, I'm trying to deal
with Jed's snoring as we're sharing a room at Walt
Disney World. Is there anything I can do? Do you
have a significant other who snores a lot?

Speaker 9 (13:39):
No, so I was a significant other who used to
snore a lot. And my husband used to push me
to the side, not in a rude way, but kind
of roll me over to the side so that I
was snoring on the opposite side so he wouldn't have
to hear me as much.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
I think that's what I.

Speaker 6 (13:54):
Did last night with Joe.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Are you suggesting that I go over to his bed
and I gently roll him over?

Speaker 2 (14:00):
Yeah, probably. And then become a big spin.

Speaker 6 (14:04):
Yeah, probably.

Speaker 8 (14:05):
Hey, as long as I'm not awoken from my slumber,
I'm okay.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
I still cannot believe you're like, hey, you're snoring.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Okay, was I wrong?

Speaker 6 (14:17):
No, I'm not saying no.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
I say, hey, Jed.

Speaker 4 (14:19):
Jed.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Jed. Jed.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Hey, Jed. And he goes, huh? You're snoring, buddy. Okay,
I'm sorry. And then it fixed it. But I don't
want to wake him up this time.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Yeah, because he's in a nice lumber. That's why he's snoring.

Speaker 6 (14:36):
Is that what it is?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
It has to be.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
You're probably exhausted.

Speaker 6 (14:40):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:41):
Joe was the master of stepping yesterday. He was at
like 22,500 steps.

Speaker 6 (14:47):
Or something like that.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Yeah, Joe said we couldn't take naps.

Speaker 6 (14:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
He was so mean.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
I did not say that. I did not say that.

Speaker 6 (14:55):
You didn't say that we couldn't take naps, but.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
You definitely made it feel proud. Yeah, I don't know
about you guys, but I was like, I'm not a
nap guy when we're at Disney. I know, you make
us not be nap people.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
Go all the way to Orlando and hang out at
Disney and you're going to sleep at home.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
They have nice resorts. Oh, the beds are so comfortable.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
You can snore at home.

Speaker 6 (15:16):
Let me take a fat nap in a hot shower
and get a cup.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
And maybe he won't snore.

Speaker 4 (15:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
We'll find out today.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
We're getting him one of those Darth Vader masks today
is what we're going to get him.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
I'm going to have to stop and get some breathing strips.

Speaker 8 (15:30):
That's what I'm going to see if it's going to
help tonight.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
We're going to have to figure out something. Maybe even
scotch tape could do it. What if he's like, hey, Jed,
you just can't sleep. You just got to stay up.
No sleep for you. Well, I did think about it
because if I can fall asleep, I'll just sleep through it.
I thought about being like, hey. Let me fall asleep first. Yeah,
you come to the room in, like, an hour. Yeah, like,
stay up. You know, the football game's on. Watch the

(15:53):
football game.

Speaker 9 (15:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Stay down now.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Allow me to sleep. Because I'm... The other thing, too, because, like,
the noise and stuff, I don't know what it is.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
You need silence.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
I know... There are some things.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
He's crashing out in his head right now.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
Well, because I want to, you know, I... want to
say something about it.

Speaker 6 (16:15):
Ah, okay.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Too many noises heightens me because I may be slightly autistic.

Speaker 4 (16:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:21):
Okay, so with that, you know, I'm hearing him spit
into a cup and then he's snoring, he's doing all
this and then my body feels like it's going to
jump out.

Speaker 2 (16:32):
I'm already getting overstimulated just hearing it.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
So then I'm like, well, let's turn on the TV
and then I'll be good because I'm not going to
hear that and then I turn on the TV and
then I go, Why did I think noise was going
to help me with my... I don't want the noise.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
And then you got Jed commentary, too, which is not.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
Oh, I didn't think about that.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Well, and he does. I'm telling you, after the snoring,
he did... He kind of... He goes.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
Are you sure it wasn't flatulating?

Speaker 1 (17:01):
I don't know what you were doing. No, you were
making it with your mouth.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
You were going....

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Oh, my God. Was he doing this in his undies?

Speaker 6 (17:09):
Yes. I was in board shorts.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Board shorts? All right. That's what they call them now?

Speaker 4 (17:15):
Yeah. Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
He was in boy shorts.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
The cheeky kind.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Hey, six inches.

Speaker 4 (17:20):
All right. All right.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
All right. It's... It's time to move on. I'm looking
at the time right now, and I'm going, oh, God,
we're a little bit late. We're a little bit late.
Catching cheaters and proud of it. We do it every

(17:41):
Tuesday and Thursday. War of the Roses. Since I am late,
and I apologize about that. If you've got to get
into work, you're getting into class, whatever it may be.
I know you've got your AirPods on. Yes, download our
free iHeartRadio app. Stream us there. Stream us there. Stream
us there. And if, God forbid, you can't listen to

(18:03):
it live, we'll obviously get it podcasted the moment it's done.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
93.3 FLZ.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
War of the Roses on The Joe Show. Ashley, before
we break down everything, and there's not too much. Well,
first question. Was it one dinner that you noticed was happening?
Or have you noticed this whole handsy co-worker thing? all

(18:29):
over your boyfriend? Has this happened at multiple events?

Speaker 10 (18:34):
So, it was like on two separate occasions that I saw.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Did you bring it up to him after the first one?

Speaker 4 (18:45):
No.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
And do you know if they have a history? Have
they dated before in the past or have they hooked up?

Speaker 10 (19:00):
I don't think so. No, I think they were just
at work. I don't think there's any previous history.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Like I said, it's not really too much. So let
me just run through it. If I say anything that's
not right, let me know and I can correct it.
But essentially what I have is you are concerned that
Carter's hooking up. with a specific co-worker and you think
it's her because she's just a little bit too flirtatious

(19:35):
with him when you guys are out she's consistently like
putting her hands on him you brought it up yeah
or go.

Speaker 10 (19:47):
Ahead the first time i thought i thought I thought
maybe that was just like her. And then the second
time I observed that he was the only one that like,
she behaved like that. So that, that really got me going.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
Like when you brought it up to him, He denied
that they'd done anything, but, and tell me if I'm wrong,
just with his response, it made it almost seem like,
you know, oh yeah, she's into me, but I'm not
into her.

Speaker 7 (20:26):
Yes.

Speaker 10 (20:28):
Yeah, he completely acknowledged what I saw. He said he's
noticed it too. It makes him a little uncomfortable, but
he was like, completely dismissive of like there being anything that, yeah,
that he would, he wouldn't do that. But, but he, he,
he acknowledged, he was like, he agreed with me that,

(20:50):
that he has, he's, he's noticed it, that it's just him,
that it's not other people.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
So there's also another note where like there, they seem
to be always next to each other when there's pictures
taken at work, all that stuff.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Um, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
I think we're ready to make that call. The last
thing that obviously I think is probably worth mentioning, because,
you know, if we hear this name, we know that
that's her. Her first name is Melanie. I mean, I
think that that's it. Ashley, I'm going to ask that
you mute your phone right now, okay?

Speaker 4 (21:25):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
And don't unmute your phone until I tell you to
do so. You might hear Melanie's name. You might hear
someone else's name. We just need to get as much
information out as possible before I get you back on.
So just stay on mute, okay? Okay.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
All right.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Do you have all the information that you need? You're
all set?

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
We're hoping that we don't hear that Melanie name.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
All right.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Jed just gave me that thumbs up, so we have
called Carter. Like I said, Melanie might be the name
he sends the flowers to, but we're going to cross
our fingers and hope he sends them to Ashley.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Hi, is this Carter?

Speaker 7 (22:16):
Yes, let's see.

Speaker 10 (22:18):
Hi, Carter.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
My name is Kayla. I'm calling from Beautiful Blossoms. We
are a new flower store. And if you had a
moment for just a two question survey, I would love
to offer you a dozen long stem red roses for free.
You help us out.

Speaker 7 (22:32):
Thank you, but that's fine.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Carter, listen, it's completely free. I'm not going to ask
for any credit card information. I just need you to
answer two survey questions, and you can send these roses
to whoever you want.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
Can you help us out?

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Be real quick.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
I'm really good.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Carter, listen, it will literally take two seconds.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Two questions.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Can you help us out, please?

Speaker 7 (22:54):
You say you don't need my credit card information or anything?

Speaker 2 (22:57):
No, I don't need any of that. I'll just need
a first and last name of.

Speaker 7 (22:59):
Who you want to ship the roses to.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
Nope.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
No scams.

Speaker 2 (23:04):
I do need to let you know this call is
being recorded for quality and training purposes. Are you okay
with that?

Speaker 4 (23:10):
It's fine.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
Perfect.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Okay, let's get into it. Have you purchased flowers in
the last six months?

Speaker 4 (23:19):
No, I have not.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Do you plan on purchasing flowers in the next six months?

Speaker 7 (23:26):
No, I don't have any plans to.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Okay, those were the two survey questions I needed from you.
Now I need a first and last name of who
you want to ship these roses to.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (23:41):
You know, how about we send them to, let's do Melanie.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Okay, Melanie. And with these roses, we are going to
include a note. So what would you like to say
to Melanie when she receives these roses?

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (23:59):
Um, can you just put, yeah, why don't you just put, uh,
excited for Thursday?

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Do you want to put your name on these? Or
does she know that you guys have plans?

Speaker 7 (24:19):
I think.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (24:20):
I think she'll know.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Alrighty. I think I have all I need on my end.
Now I'm actually going to transfer you over to a
ship it and hand Elaine. and they will gather the
rest of your information, okay?

Speaker 4 (24:31):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Hi, is this Carter?

Speaker 6 (24:37):
Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Hi, Carter. Carter, my name is Joe. First of all,
thank you so much for taking the time to complete
the survey. We are going to send these flowers out
just to confirmation. I'm Melanie.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
Yes, yes, Melanie.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
I do see a note. It says, excited for Thursday.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
So unfortunately we do have, um, been, we've been running
into some shipping delay issues and there's a potential that
this won't get to her by Thursday. Um, maybe I
could help you out. Do you want to put potentially
like a note that maybe would recap Thursday? Like what,
what are you guys doing on Thursday? Maybe I can

(25:22):
help you with a new note.

Speaker 7 (25:24):
Oh, um, How about we just....

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Like, are you guys going out on an anniversary dinner?
I'm assuming you're going out on a date, right?

Speaker 7 (25:41):
I wouldn't call it that.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Oh, no?

Speaker 7 (25:45):
No, no, I wouldn't call it that.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
So just so you know, these are roses. They're a
romantic package. So is this someone that you're okay with
sending romantic flowers to?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
No, that's fine.

Speaker 7 (26:05):
That's fine.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
She'll get the context, I think.

Speaker 1 (26:09):
Okay. Oh, okay. Oh, okay.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Nice. All right.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Well, then we could keep the note generic. We'll send
something fine.

Speaker 7 (26:24):
Yeah, it's going to be a reliable Thursday, I think.

Speaker 4 (26:28):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (26:28):
Like, even if it doesn't make it, the next one
will be.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (26:32):
Sort of a clockwork situation.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
All right. Well, before I get that address, there is
one question I have on here, which is, does your
company know that you two are hooking up with each other?
Is that, like, against a policy or anything?

Speaker 7 (26:51):
Uh, yeah, no, it is, uh, it is against policy, but, uh, they,
so we, we, uh, you know, we're, we're a little
sacred on that.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Are you wondering how I know that you two work together?

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Uh, yeah, actually.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
So Ashley told me that you two work with each other.
Are you wondering how I know Ashley?

Speaker 7 (27:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
So Ashley's on the phone with us too. It looks
like Ashley's concerns were correct and it looks like you
and Melanie are hooking up even though you told her
it was nothing to worry about.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
No response.

Speaker 4 (27:52):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
They both hung up.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
Hold on.

Speaker 1 (28:02):
I'll call Ashley during the song, or you, but.
The Joe Show's Secret Sound. Alrighty then.

Speaker 4 (28:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
Alrighty then. Jamie, who are we going with? Hey, Kelsey. Hi, Kelsey. Hi.
You think you know what the secret sound is?

Speaker 7 (28:31):
I mean, I'm going to try.

Speaker 10 (28:33):
I was a little thrown off by your Disney post,
but I really want to do this for my three
and two year old.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
So it'd be amazing if I got it.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
I love that so much. You and your family really could,
I mean, God, just make this next year the best
ever annual passes could be yours. This is what we're
going to do. We're all going to get quiet. We'll
have Jamie play the sound twice, and then we'll take
your guess. And then when you get it right, all
these other radio stations are going to get really mad

(29:03):
at Ashley because she's going to be freaking out and
yelling and going nuts. You ready to hear it?

Speaker 4 (29:08):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
All right, Jamie, go ahead. Hey, what's the secret sound?

Speaker 7 (29:22):
Oh, is it digging?

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Digging is.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
Not.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Oh, wait, hold on. It's not correct.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
All right.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
That's a horrible F up on my end.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
It happens.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
You know what?

Speaker 2 (29:45):
Not that right time.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
And by the way, too, because I know that Jamie's
also in the studio clicking buttons and stuff like that.
That was 1 billion percent my fault. So I am
so sorry. I am so sorry.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
It's okay.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
Go back to the drawing board, okay? I am such
an idiot. I am so sorry. I am so sorry.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
We all have our moments.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
What a horrible F up. All right. We love you.
We will talk to you later. It is now time
for another hint?

Speaker 6 (30:15):
I think so.

Speaker 4 (30:15):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (30:16):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
So that first hint was we took a picture with
a Disney character named Oogie Boogie.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
Oogie Boogie.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Oogie Boogie. And the hint was Oogie Boogie. So you
can go look at what Oogie Boogie looks like if
you have no idea. And then think of his makeup.
Think of what he is, you know. Look at him. Okay?
So that was hint number one. It is now time

(30:46):
for hint number two. Which is, as you win Walt
Disney World Annual Passes, You get to experience a lot.
A lot with the seasons, a lot with the holidays.

(31:08):
And there's something that you get to do at Mickey's
Not So Scary Halloween Party that would allow you to
make this sound. Maybe you have to go research what
you do at Mickey's Not So Scary that makes it
so special. I mean, there's a lot.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
So I do feel like this is a broad enough
hint to where, you know, it's still tough. But think
Oogie Boogie. Think Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween. Okay. Thank you, Joe.
What could the sound be?

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Oh, I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
We'll see if you do. 840, your next shot to
take a stab at it, Joe Show's secret sound.

Speaker 6 (31:57):
Yeah, I know what it is.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
That's what you think.

Speaker 4 (31:59):
I know.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Hey, shout out to Disney, by the way, too, because
they gave us a hotel room key card, and they
also gave us a park key card, and they gave
us a gift card. And when I say that they
gave us it, they physically gave us a physical copy
of it.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
And I just want to say, in 804-9393, Are you
down with the convenience of a digital gift card? Are
you down with the convenience of a digital room key card?
Or do you want the real thing? Maybe you've never
stayed at a hotel before, so you don't know what
I'm talking about. How about a concert? How about a

(32:38):
sporting event? Do you want the ticket? Or do you just... Listen,
put it on my phone. I'm good with it. Because
I will say this too, though. As much as I
love getting the physical things... If I could get one
of those IDs on my phone.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
No, Joe.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Why? Some of the paper, wallpaper and art, though, digitally, actually,
is pretty cool. What happens if you find that? I
just mean the convenience of it.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
If I had just an ID on my phone, I'd
be happy. But everything else, like I have every baseball
ticket I've ever had of any game until they ruined it.
The MLB does this. It's the worst.

Speaker 2 (33:16):
It is.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
It is the worst application of all time. The MLB
ballpark app. Genuinely, they might go into a lockout and
not play baseball next year.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
Get rid of the adverts.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Go into a lockout to get rid of the adverts.
That should be the only thing that they should be
meeting about.

Speaker 6 (33:33):
It's horrible.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Because I want a physical copy.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Me too. I like keeping my concert tickets. I do
that too.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
The concert tickets are amazing.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (33:42):
Cute.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
Could I be the young, problematic Casey Kasem and bring
up an artist that some people don't like, but some
people do? So I'm just going to bring him up.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Kanye West.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
And we gave away a billion tickets to his show
that broke records. So Kanye's whole thing is with his
merch on the Life of Pablo tour, that was the
time when they stopped giving out the physical tickets, like
Live Nation and Ticketmaster and all them don't do the
real tickets. So that's why his T-shirt said general admissions.

(34:13):
That was your keepsake.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
That you could take home as.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
A general admission T-shirt. Think about that. But I like
the physical. I get so excited when we're at Disney
and I have that physical thing. I have an annual pass.
When you win this annual pass and you get the
annual pass, they send you an actual card. No, I'm
a liar. You have to go to the park. You
can keep it on your phone. I have it on

(34:37):
my phone. When I double-click my phone, I have it.
But you can.
And I have it in the hotel room. But they
give you a physical annual pass. That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
I like that.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
It is the ultimate flex. I will say this.

Speaker 8 (34:50):
When Joe first got his annual pass, it was one
of the funniest things ever because he would put it
on and he's like, hey, guess what I got? And
then he would actually pull out the card. But having
the card is sick. I would much rather have the
card or low-key, I wish hotels would go back to
the actual turning keys.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 10 (35:06):
They had those?

Speaker 6 (35:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
I did not know that.

Speaker 6 (35:08):
Back in the day.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
They had a turning.
Like motels. Yeah, you stay in a Motel 6.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
How are you staying at? If you want love goo
on your pillow, that's when you know. If they give
you a real key, we messed up.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
I would love that.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
But do you like the physical thing? There's a battle
between video games right now where PlayStation, Sony, has gone
all digital. Video games are just digital copies. I talked
to Jeff Liss, who's one of our favorites, who got
the Joe Show Roadshow going with the beautiful camping world
of Dover. He told me that he's not playing any

(35:46):
PlayStation games anymore because they've gone all digital. He's doing
it out of principle. Meanwhile, Nintendo's coming out with a
bunch of interactive stuff that you plug into your Nintendo.

Speaker 6 (35:57):
That's smart.

Speaker 8 (35:58):
I like physical. I think digital, if anything, there's no
footprint of anything that's left behind. How are we supposed
to know that we existed as humans if we only
did everything online?

Speaker 2 (36:08):
And how do you pass it along to a friend
or a family member? All of your concert tickets? Yeah,
or like all my digital movies. Everything's on stream. You
know those orange VHS tapes? I can't give it to you.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Remember the orange VHS tapes?

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Right, you can't pass that along. You can't pass your
games along. Unless you log in the account. That's true.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
When we were at Disney, we are here. Are you
going to talk.

Speaker 6 (36:32):
About the Fortnite?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
You know what they need here?

Speaker 4 (36:35):
What?

Speaker 1 (36:35):
They need one thing.

Speaker 6 (36:39):
No, they need cold brew.

Speaker 1 (36:41):
They got coffee. They got hot coffee. They need cold brew, though.
I forgot what I was going to say. At the
Disney Animation, we toured this really cool thing. They had
a bunch of VHS tapes where Stitch was. He's rolling around.
I'll post a video. They had a bunch of VHS

(37:03):
tapes in there. We don't have that.

Speaker 4 (37:05):
I know.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
I think we need to go back to DVDs.

Speaker 1 (37:07):
The Mandalorian and Grogu. I don't have a physical copy.

Speaker 2 (37:11):
No way.

Speaker 1 (37:11):
I'm streaming that thing on Disney +, which is cool.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
I feel like people are... Don't we talk about DVD
sales are going up right now?

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Are they?

Speaker 3 (37:20):
Yes, because I think people don't really want to keep
paying for the streaming services and then to buy their
favorite movies or maybe have a little bit of both
and then if they take it off the streaming service
and you still have it.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
I did not know that.

Speaker 9 (37:32):
For sure.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
A DVD player is probably like $ 1, 000 now. Back in
the day. Dude, I don't think it is. I think
it's like $ 69.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
99.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Do you guys remember the disposable cameras?

Speaker 6 (37:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
They're like between $ 40 to $ 100 now.

Speaker 6 (37:43):
The Kodak one?

Speaker 4 (37:44):
Yes.

Speaker 6 (37:45):
Even if I wanted to just go get them done
at CVS?

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Oh, man, that hurts my soul. So I think the
physical things are now becoming more expensive because we want
them more. They're like, no, we want to put it
on digital. But if you want it physical, oh, yeah.
There you go.

Speaker 6 (37:57):
And low-key, this is going to sound so strange.

Speaker 4 (37:59):
Huh? Huh?

Speaker 1 (38:04):
DVD players are $ 40 on Amazon. DVD players on Amazon
being only $ 40? That's not bad. Does it have lines
on it when you're watching it?

Speaker 2 (38:13):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (38:15):
Do you think they have that? Blu-ray, baby.

Speaker 4 (38:18):
Remember that?

Speaker 2 (38:19):
Love a Blu-ray moment.

Speaker 6 (38:23):
We fell hook, line, and sinker for the Blu-ray for
a hot minute.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
I don't even know what that means.

Speaker 6 (38:28):
No one knows what it means.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
My PlayStation is Blu-ray.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
What does it mean?

Speaker 1 (38:33):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
It just sounds good.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
Yeah, what the hell does Blu-ray mean?

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Don't you guys miss going to GameStop and getting games,
physical games?

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
And opening the package or CD, opening the package, looking
at the thank you really.

Speaker 4 (38:45):
Thank you, Thomas.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Dude, when you rip that plastic thing off.

Speaker 4 (38:47):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
Oh, I'm going to eat that now.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
Yeah, and you can't get it, so you're like picking
at the corner and you're picking at it.

Speaker 4 (38:53):
Stop it.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
I'm going to cry like Katie at the animation thing.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
And then you get it. You get a tiny bit
and like just a tiny rip. And you rip a
tiny bit and then you're all. PO'd. By the way,
can I just say something? I have been censoring myself
like crazy.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
You're doing great.

Speaker 6 (39:07):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Prude Joe is doing great today.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
I can actually smell the opening of a CD. The
rapper and all that.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
You'd look at the book to see if the lyrics
were in there.

Speaker 2 (39:19):
Or the DVD player where sometimes you can't open it.
Good times. We don't have physical things anymore.

Speaker 8 (39:25):
And all the retro games like the NES, the Nintendo 64,
they're all going to make a comeback.

Speaker 2 (39:32):
What are you guys going to do when you don't
even need a system? You literally just need a television
and you'd like log in.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
They already have that. Oh, God.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
God.

Speaker 6 (39:41):
It's at Roku.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
They have that. And by the way, they did bring
back the NES and the Nintendo 64 and all that, but...
It's digital. See, I'm annoyed, bro. I'm just saying, that's
what they did. That's what they did. We need physical.
So shout out to Disney for getting physical. That's what
we like. Katie, what's coming up with the news?

Speaker 3 (40:03):
So what you expect at this Sunday's Emmy Awards.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
I came with the Emmys this weekend already. Presenters, some
really cool reunions.

Speaker 4 (40:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:12):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (40:13):
All right. Hold on. No.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I think I've
realized an issue. I realized an issue. This is me.
I just want to say this because now this makes sense.
Once again, that was me mess up, not a Jamie.
I messed that up. Jamie's mouse looks like my mouse.
But it's not my mouse. So when Jamie teed up,

(40:35):
Olivia Rodrigo dropped dead. I thought I was playing it.
