Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety three, three fl Z It's The Joe Show eight
and four O nine ninety three ninety three. Have you
ever had a fake it till you make it moment?
What was that moment for you? So over the weekend
we took over Mixed one hundred point seven, which was
really cool. We get to play Christmas music and stuff,
and I posted on our Instagram a video of me

(00:21):
soaking wet because oh my god. On Saturday, we finally
got some good rain. I've been wanting it to rain
for quite some time, and we finally got a good
amount of rain. And like, right outside of my apartment complex,
there's a ton of Christmas decorations, like a bunch of
inflatable decorations, like fifty feet high decoration, all this craziness,

(00:43):
and some of them play Christmas. It's really cool. It's
really really cool. So I went out in front of
it with my loving fiance, who was getting drenched by rain,
and I'm like, hey, I got to promote that we're on.
And I was like, you know, thank you for you know,
Mixed one hundred point seven. Tommy and Miguel and Holly
and all of them, thank you for allowing us to

(01:03):
be on and host a show, and as a token
of my appreciation, I want to show my gratitude. I
set up all of these Christmas decorations very obviously. I'm joking.
There's no way I could have done it.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
I looked at it.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It looked legit. It looked like I said it up.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
You were, you were scoring outside. It looked like you
literally put in the effort to put that together.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
I'm not in for a second. I had to go,
I'm like, where is he?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
I swear to God, it was never my intention to
make people think that I was setting up Christmas decorations.
It was a joke. I wanted people to see it
and go like a ha ha ha, your big dummy.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I know where you live. And I was like, what
where is he? Like, okay, he set this up.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Nice, I'm not messing around. When one we had a
couple of comments that were like, oh my god, you
need to set up bah blah blah. Some of them
I knew were joking. There were some people who I
could tell they were serious, serious, like they're congratulating me.
They're like, oh my god, that was amazing. Da da
da da.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
I'm looking at it now.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
I looks legit?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Does it?

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Not?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Just it?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
I had at line with Josho, you can see it.
I had so many people reaching out to me through DMS,
and when I say so many, like four but offering
me money to help them set up decorations or to
come over and to do it for them. Like they
think I'm a professional decorator. Ask my fiance. I didn't

(02:36):
even decorate her place. She did it all while I
was playing Fortnite, because she's got an eye for it.
I just, you know, I complained about getting glitter on
my hand, and then I just want the ornaments up,
and then I want to sit down and watch football.
Eight hundred four nine ninety three ninety three. What was
that fake it till you make it moment for you?
Like here, we'll go to Julia, who just says everything

(02:57):
in your life is fake it till you make it.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Yeah, it is one of the pasts. But I started
doing early in the year with payroll. We're just like,
you can do this, right, And I said okay, And
Cherry said, wait, do you know how to do payroll?
And I said I do.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Now you learn as you go.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Actually significantly improved. Yeah, we had like we had no
process in place, so like everyone was being paid wrong,
and now like sometimes only a little bit of people
are paid wrong, so it's really full.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I feel like that's in Julie, I love you so much.
I feel like that's with like everything with work, at
least for me. Like for example, we faked it till
we made it. We're still trying to make it, we're
still taking it. But I listened back to our first shows.
I was twenty four when we got the job to
do the Joe Show on ninety three three FLZ. Twenty

(03:49):
four years old. That is absolute insanity. I thought I
knew everything that I realized. I would pray and I
still pray before the show every day. But my prayer
for the first like three years was like God, can
you just help me figure this out? Like once? And
then my fourth year prayers was God, can you stop

(04:09):
having me feel like I do know what I'm doing
because I think it's false confidence. And now I'm like,
just God, can you allow us to keep our job?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
I still don't know. Do you guys ever have fake
it till you make it? Moments not involving jobs, because
I'm telling you, I'm gonna be a Christmas decorator from
now on.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
I mean, fake it till you make a Can I
go into sports? Yeah, yeah, okay, so I've never actually
talked about this. You don't have played softball, but I do.
I look like I like baseball back then. No, okay,
because I was lesbian, maybe, but I've never gotten into softball.
But because there were these cute girls that were playing
back in the day, I decided to join. And I
didn't even get on their team, but I was okay

(04:48):
with playing against them. And I was in the field
all the way in the back what do you call it,
left field? Like the grass? When I tell you the
anxiety I would get, try kind of like go up
there and swing.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Mind.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
I'm just doing this. I'm faking it till I'm make it.
I'm just trying to get this girl to like get
my you know, my number or whatever.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
But I was twelve, you guys.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Like, I mean, yeah, to rise the girls. Yeah, crushes
on girls. But I don't even know how to talk.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
I was texted. I was playing a snake on my phone.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Here's a with involving love. I faked it like I
could cook for my fiance and I'm still trying to
make it. I make actually speaking of making I make
ground Turkey and Rice.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
You do a fantastic job.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
That's about it.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
This sounds really bad, but a couple of years ago,
back when I was on Hinge and Bumble, I would
lie about my height and so I would get more matches.
Yeah well yeah, but mostly the height. It was mostly
the height. You just put like two more inches. How
do you fake it till you make it? What do
you mean like you gotta put you gotta get like
some like boots with some you know, a little bit
more heightened it.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
You know, what does that have to do with making it? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (05:59):
You ain't go my it?

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Yeah yeah, well I wore these beads.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
You know what I'm saying, What how is he going
to make it?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Distractions?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
No, No, I'm listening to what he's saying. He's just
not going to make it. He's faking it's easy.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Yeah, you get to the date and then it's like
you're all you're two inches short of the way you
said you.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Were all guys do that? Hey, DJ Jamie Frere, what
the hell are they talking about? Do you know? I
am very confused right now?

Speaker 3 (06:26):
Okay, He's saying he was lying on his dating profile
about his height, and he's going to fake.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
It, hoping that in turn it would give me success
with the ladies.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Jamie, when you when you first started DJing, did you
ever lie to clubs and stuff like that to say like, Hey,
I've been doing this for a long time and I
know what I'm doing and all that, and then you
had to figure it out.
