Speaker 1 (00:00):
We flew out yesterday and something absolutely insane happened while
we were on the flight. And I want to know
eight hundred four on the ninety three ninety three, has
anyone ever else had an experience quite like this? Jack
and I are sitting next to each other, Ashley's two

(00:21):
rows in front of us, and I, did you hear
someone yell we need a doctor right now?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
I heard something else?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
What did you hear?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
I heard? Can I say the word?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Was it a bad word?

Speaker 1 (00:32):
No?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Starts with the eight?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I heard them yell why wouldn't you move?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I don't know. I just heard. I just heard a
guy yell she's having I just heard heart attack?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Real quick. I know we shouldn't sidetrack.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Do you think I don't know you said exactly what
had happened.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
I don't know if you said what happened on the
plane yet. I don't know if you gave away yet.
You were just like I was letting you had that
moment you said, I'm.

Speaker 6 (00:51):
Doing But yeah, I heard I heard a heart attack.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Yeah, I heard that too.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
And then I looked at jid.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
Jad and I are watching like a YouTube video on
the plane, and he pauses it. I didn't hear it
at first. I did not hear it on my headphones.
He pauses it, and I'm like, why did you pause it?
He looks at me like he saw an absolute ghost.
I then take my headphone off to ask him, like,
are you okay? And then that's when I hear we
need a doctor. We need a doctor, we need a doctor, Dick.

(01:23):
I turn around, and you know, I don't want to
get like graphic or anything, because listen, it's early and
I want to keep this as light as possible. Though
there's nothing really light about this. The good thing is
and I that's actually what I want to say. To
start off, the woman walked off the plane herself. If

(01:43):
I had to guess, I don't think she was having
a heart attack. I think she was having a seizure.
I would think you're right, Joe.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I didn't see anything that happened. I just heard it.
So but you guys physically saw her.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
We don't have to describe everything that we saw, but
it was very scary and we weren't even either.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
No, and I was looking at the text that so
we boarded about when we were sad at about eleven
thirty Jed sent that text to me at about eleven fifty,
so we weren't even like.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Eight hundred and four ow N ninety three ninety three
has anyone ever had to make an emergency landing. There
were so many things that happened that my brain is
racing like crazy. First of all, I turn around, I
look at her, and I'm like, if she's having a
heart attack, why aren't they laying her down?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Right?

Speaker 1 (02:27):
They kept her seating up, which then made me go, Okay,
if you're having a seizure, you could swallow your tongue.
Maybe that's why they're keeping your seat up, But I
really didn't know. The second was a flight attendant pulled
out his cell phone and made a call. I thought,
we're not allowed to use ourselves.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Are you serious?

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Air plane mode? Their plane mode call the flight deck. Yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
He makes a call. Obviously, I'm trying to make a
little bit light of the this was a scary situation,
so I'm allowed to make a little bit of jokes
because she got off the plane and she said she
was good good. The second one was are we going
to turn back around and land? Are we going to
land in? Uh? I don't know Jacksonville. Are we going

(03:11):
to land in Atlanta? Where's the nearest airport? Where are
they going to because we have to we have to
land with this going on, Especially at the time, I'm
thinking like, okay, maybe she is heaving. They keep yelling
heart attack. Then they start going we need a doctor,
we need a doctor, we need a doctor. I immediately
looked up to first class because I would assume that's
where doctors sit. Right.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah, we're in the way back of the plane.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
The doctor was sitting like right next to us. I
don't know if i'd want a doctor. I'm looking for
more of a doctor and comfort. Plus I don't know
if I want my doctor to be in twenty three
day the doctor swings in action. I'm thinking to myself,

(03:54):
are all do they have to have a doctor on
the plane? Jed said that it's just like by number,
at least by.

Speaker 7 (04:01):
Pure numbers, more than likely you're going to have at
least one doctor on your flight, or nurse or nurse, because.

Speaker 3 (04:08):
There was a nurse that also was on our flight,
but the doctor was already there and.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
I know that the doctor helped. Immediately the woman came
to I felt horrible for her husband.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Yeah, what happened?

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Well, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
You're just sitting next to your wife and she has
an episode like that, like what are you supposed to do?
Thank god she was sitting in the aisle, but oh
my god, it was It was so freaky. But once again,
as I tell you this, and there was a potential
emergency landing situation, they ended up not. I do think
I think they flew us to the trade even faster,
though I think so too. I think they sped out

(04:45):
to get us there. But I was kind of wondering,
like if I'm this woman, like why aren't you landing
the plane?

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (04:53):
Or I'm telling you I thought they were going to
lay her out in the middle of the aisle where
you and Jedivers were at and then we were going
to do an emergency lane means somewhere in the state
of Georgia.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
But they were like, no, we gotta get you on
a jingle ball baby.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Yeah, I ad a Uga, Tennessee, that's the other city.
I thought.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
I had a question because I didn't see much because
of the Alma's ahead of you guys, where people recording
on their phone.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
I think they were all kind of freaked out that
the whole entire situation, because she would look like I mean, physically,
it looked like she was having a.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Really bad episode.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
Okay, and I don't nobody wants to record that everything
wondering I didn't see anything, Yeah, I recorded, I did.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
I did not. I did not. I went back to
the YouTube. I did not.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
She was mad about no snacks.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Okay, I do have a.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
So very obviously, And Jim, I'm going to talk to you,
and just to say, Jim's got a crazy story. Jim,
this really happened to you. Yes, Jim had to make
an emergency lane. We're gonna hear from Jim in just
a second. But people complained that they had to shut
down the snack service, which was unbelievable that someone would

(06:08):
complain about that. And then the other one was they
get on the intercome and they say, hey, when we land,
we're going to deplane as fast as possible, but emergency
medics are going to come on the plane to check
up on our passenger who needs help. Please do not
stand up, Please do not line up. We will not
let you off the plane. We need to get these
medics on. Wou didn't you know we land? They people

(06:31):
were standing up trying to leave. They're idiots. Jim, a
flight attendant got knocked out on your flight.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Yeah. So it was I'm visiting in laws and Adrian
Michigan kind of each fine two from Detroit to Tampa,
and they're they're like eight ten rows ahead of us,
and something happened. Someone was said in between a passenger
and a steward, and the passenger the steward knocked him

(07:01):
out on the air marshals had to come in and
arrest the guy in flying and landed in Tampa and
he got ha scort away for some plane.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
While that's going on, were you thinking, oh my god,
we're not gonna make it to Tampa.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
They're gonna have to land, right, I.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Was like yeah, cause we were like we were like
ten miles or something like that from Atlanta. Like, I'm
not when to get stuck in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Oh no, man, the horrible airport. But luckily so the
flight attendant obviously was good. Yep, yeah, good they got Jim.
It's scary. I don't know about you, but I was
like really scared while this was all going on.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
You can't do anything. You're all up in the air.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Cynthia. Hi, Cynthia, Hi, Good morning, Good morning, Cynthia. Your
husband is a nurse practitioner.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Yes, so at the time, he was actually in nurse Practitioners' school,
so he was still an RN.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
So he had just finished like a long clinical shift.
He was exhausted. He's like, I'm going to sleep, and
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (08:11):
Thirty minutes into the flight, I get, you know, they
did the little ding.

Speaker 8 (08:14):
And they're like, are there any medical professionals on board?

Speaker 6 (08:17):
And I'm like looking around hoping someone might hit their
button because I know he's so tired.

Speaker 8 (08:22):
And they did it.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
So I woke him up and he goes and this
little girl that had been traveling all day, she was
super lethargic, and so he's they have a phone, I
guess up front where you can talk to people like
down on the ground, and so he was talking with them,
going through some things, and eventually we were going Houston
to Portland and we had to he had to make
the call that the girl needed to get off.

Speaker 8 (08:44):
So we stopped in.

Speaker 6 (08:45):
Denver and her and her family got off the plane
and then you know, got back on our way to Portland,
and I was so worried when we were like getting
our bags that they were going to be mad at us, right,
I was like, oh my god, people are going to.

Speaker 8 (08:58):
Be like shooting dagger at us.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
But everybody was so nice and I came up and
like Sanctum United was great. They gave us like as
a thank you, they gave us an upgrade on the
way home, like they were treated with a lot of care.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:12):
Yeah, so they were really really nice and it was
a scary situation, but.

Speaker 8 (09:18):
Little girls seemed to be okay by the time she
got off.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
You're the kind of kind of turning on that your
husband's a hero, right.

Speaker 6 (09:27):
Oh yeah, yeah, like he switched over to infectious disease
during COVID, Like, yes, he's he's an amazing human.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
What's his name.

Speaker 8 (09:38):
His name's Charlie.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Charlie.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Tell Charlie, thank you for being a hero. That's pretty cool.

Speaker 8 (09:44):
It is absolutely.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
You're you're a hero. What's that.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
I said?

Speaker 8 (09:52):
Thanks? We love listening to you all in the morning.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Oh my god, I love when you call in, so
thank you for calling it. I love you, Cynthia. Yeah, sorry, Cynthia.
I feel like I'm all over this morning, but I
really it's been the only thing on my mind is
this woman and then when you see it kind of
going on. I don't know how Charlie does it, Cynthia,
I would. I don't know anyone working in the medical field.
You guys are really are heroes and thank god we've

(10:16):
got people like that.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Cynthia, Love you,
