Germany is now out at the FIFA World Cup Soccer tournament,
and I gotta tell you that they would lose to Paraguay.
It is a national disgrace. The German media is now
blaming the coach, blaming the players, blaming the system. But
in the end, the Germans were a mediocre team who

(00:24):
in the third game of the group stage, decided to
rest their players, their best players, and the cooner Man
was the first one to say that's a bad move.
They need more time to gel, more time to develop
chemistry and teamwork, develop a sense of playing together as

(00:46):
a unit. Instead, they didn't do it. They rested their
best players. They lost to Ecuador, and so they came
into the round of thirty two, the knockout stage, limping, flailing,
no energy, no momentum, no sense of a winning streak
where they're getting stronger by each game. Instead, they came

(01:11):
in against Paraguay, and to give Paraguay its due, they
were ready. They played a defensive game, they marked well,
they flustered Germany and they scored when they needed to.
And then in the penalty kicks their goalie came up
big and the Germans you could see the pressure on them.

(01:33):
They wilted and snapped under pressure, and Paraguay won on
penalty kicks. My friends, this is one of the biggest upsets,
not just in this World Cup, but in World Cup history.
Germany is a traditional powerhouse. Paraguay honestly a lightweight when

it comes to soccer. They got their doors blown off
by Team USA first game of this tournament four to one.
Everybody had Germany winning. In fact, they were looking forward
to a Germany France showdown in the round of sixteen.
Were the Germans overconfident? Yes, did they perhaps look past Paraguay, Yes,

But in the end the Germans now have to look
at themselves in the mirror. They did not qualify for
the World Cup in twenty eighteen, they didn't qualify in
twenty twenty two, and they got their heads handed to
him by tiny Paraguay in this World Cup. The German
soccer system is in serious trouble. The Germany of old

(02:46):
is gone. They are no longer a power to be
feared or reckoned with, and that's what the Paraguay game
ultimately exposed. This German team, for all of its bloods
and all of the expectations, was an average, mediocre team.

In fact, I was predicting the whole time that should
they end up playing France in the round of sixteen,
France would crush them either three nothing or four to one.
In other words, the Germans are not the Germans of old.
And now Germany needs to rebuild and they need to

(03:28):
ask themselves what went wrong and to fix it quick,
and to fix it before the next World Cup, because
if this continues, Germany will no longer be considered a
serious soccer nation. And this now brings me to Team USA.
Tomorrow they will be playing their first knockout game against

(03:52):
Bosnia and Herzegovina, and like Germany Paraguay, everybody's betting on
Team US to win. Everybody's underestimating Bosnia the way Paraguay
was underestimated, and the coach of Team USA did the
exact same thing the German coach did in the final

game of the group stage. Instead of building more team chemistry,
instead of having the boys play another ninety minutes together,
work together and building a unit cohesion, unity rhythm, he
decided to rest his best players and Team USA lost
to Turkey. They're limping now into the knockout stage and

will Bosnia do to America what Paraguay did to Germany.
Only time will tell. But if Team USA goes down,
I want the coach held responsible, just the way I
want the German coach now held responsible. It's a seven

to eight game tournament, every game matters. You don't believe me,
just ask the Germans.
