Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh, don't listen to that. Eddie Holman tried to sneak
up in him. Eddie, No, sir, no, sir. All right,
welcome in, Welcome in. Tell your friends and neighbors if
you have somebody, if you know somebody who's like unforgetful. Uh.
He just called me a second ago and asked me about,

(00:20):
you know, listening to he listens to us on the radio,
and for whatever reason, right now we're not on, but
we are on the app Yay, we are on the app. Yes,
let me see. Do I sound nervous? I sound nervous.

(00:40):
It's because my boss is in here. Why Lord.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Stormy.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
They probably thought I was I thought I was playing,
didn't I didn't?

Speaker 2 (00:51):
You thought I was playing?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
He is sitting right here.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
What's going on? World?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
How you doing? Leon?

Speaker 2 (00:59):
I'm amazing, just like our listeners.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Uh huh, aren't they I'm good.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
I'm good. All the turkey gone?

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Turkey is gone?

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Is past? D yep in the in the garbage? All right?

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You know, after a certain how long do you keep
your thanks Giving food? Because after a certain time you
need to throw that away?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Absolutely. I do the smell tests.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
Smell No, the smell test will fool you. You can't
do that all the time. You gotta say no inn
oh after a certain time.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
Though.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Seriously, they say with Thanksgiving food, well, anytime you you know,
eating leftovers, there's a cutoff date. So sometimes they say
the cutoff. Actually, you need to figure it out because
for some foods you can freeze them. What I'm understanding
is when it comes to eggs, if you're putting eggs
and things and you're trying to freeze it, that may

(01:51):
not be a good thing.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Absolutely, mac and cheese with the dairy.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, a certain thing. But just so just be careful
because what we don't want to happen is somebody to
go to the hospital after Thanksgiving. I dig yeah, so
you get, don't dig it too much. Throw that stuff
in the garbage. Smell first though, that smell that smell

(02:17):
test could trick you. Seriously, it can trick you. You
might thank you all right, and you're not. Absolutely you're not.
You're not be on the safe side. So what advice
are we giving? Two days? Two days? Yeah, I would
say two days. Yeah, and you might want to just
dump it, yeah, you might want to check you with
your physician. Physician, No, we're not giving expert advice here. No, well,

(02:41):
we're not giving expert advice, but we do know that
if you're eating it too long, you could cause yourself,
so you don't want it.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
It is Monday, December. The first Leon said he's gonna
sit in here with me and hang out today. So
y'all call and welcome Leon today. Let's see, but listen
today because it is Monday, December. First, y' all know
the countdown is on for Christmas. It'll be here before

(03:11):
you know it. It is also a National Pie Day.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
It is.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Eat a Red Apple Day. Oh it's Rosa Parks Day.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Nice. World Aid's Awareness Day is today as well. So yeah,
some good things happening today. Let me see what you
do on Rosa Parks Day. This American holiday is celebrated
on February. Wait a minute, February one fourth, her birthday,
or December first, in honor of the civil rights leader

(03:44):
Rosa Parks. So why December first? In some areas it's
celebrated on her birthday, which is February fourth, But December
first is the day nineteen fifty five that Miss Rosa
Parks boarded a bus in Montgomery, Alabama. She took her
seat in the color section, but as she rode the
Cleveland Avenue bus home, the bus began to fill. Mmmm,

(04:07):
y'all know the story. Yeah, Rosa Parks. Come on here,
y'all know the story. So today is Rosa Park's Day,
the anniversary of the day she sat on that bus
and said.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
No one should be sitting in the back of the
bus today.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
In honor of Rosa Parks. On today, Yeah, to the front,
moved to the school. Jone up there. Let's see a
couple of things I wanted to talk about. Y'all heard
Lady D this morning on stan Bell's shows. Lady D
was talking about the guy that took his car, and
it's an interesting story. And you probably saw this. I

(04:42):
saw the picture of the police leading this guy out
of a building. It didn't look like a home, but
it could have been his home.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
And so.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Word is the man took the car and burned it.
But he told police that I think he said, lady,
do you help me out here? I think he said
somebody stole it? Okay, But when police tracked him and
his moves and everything, they found out that he actually

(05:13):
he told police he went to go get a plate
of chittlings and he went to go get them chitlings.
And yeah, was he donkey of the day this morning, No,
not that I know of.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
I ended it for next week.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
But uh yeah, unfortunately, but he got arrested and Lady
D was talking about the story this morning. I saw
it over the holidays when I was sitting and chilling.
You know what got me was the comments. When I
saw the comments on social media about it, and you know,
it's got to me though. It was kind of heartbreaking
because I mean, you look at everything that's happening in

(05:51):
our world today. You look at you know, the food
sam situation, you know, and now that's changing because if
you heard the latest with food stamps, what the deal
is now In case you didn't know, for those folks
that are on food stamps, snap, it's not going to
be the same because if you're between eighteen and sixty four,

(06:12):
if you do not have kids at home, not in school,
you're not disabled, and you're not working twenty plus hours
a week, the government is coming for your benefits.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
So folks across Tennessee already, they're already getting letters saying
that they could lose two to three hundred dollars a
month in their food stamps, and so a lot of
folks saying basically they're devastated. Now this is for people
that are between eighteen to sixty four and don't have
kids at home, not in school, yep, not disabled, and

(06:46):
not working twenty plus hours a week. So I'm hearing
they've got to do something for eighty hours. So the
rules were delayed during the shutdown, but they are moving forward.
Unless you work volunteer or do a job training, you know,
eighty hours a month, you only get three months of

(07:06):
SNAP in a three year period. Oh wow, So what
do y'all think about that?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Interesting?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
You think that's fair or foul?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Like that old Thanksgiving food is probably today? I think
they're trying to improve the job's report.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
You think so, I mean, well, if that's the case, yeah,
Because and when I looked at some of the folks
what some people said when I saw the post on
social media, they were talking about how there are jobs
out there, and it looks like for some folks that
are getting those benefits, you gon't have to go to work. Now,
it's not a you know, as you gonna have.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
To go to work. I mean, look at it. This way,
you get paid, then you get your snap. Yeah, life's
got to be better after that, do y'all think? So
what do y'all think?

Speaker 1 (07:57):
Do y'all think that this is a good thing or
do you think it's a terrible thing? Do because a
lot of like I said, a lot of people are
devastated that they gotta work. What you try to say?
You know, I'm Jamaica, we work fifteen jobs. Well, you

(08:20):
know this, this could probably be devastating for some people because,
like I said, people said, there are they are devastated.
Uh let's see this man talking to the news media.
He's thirty eight, no kids, no job, got a felony
and now he's no longer eligible. Yeah, ava could say
that this could lead to people skipping mills and it's

(08:41):
gonna you know, uh.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Down the obc rate.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Okay, it's going on with you.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Me.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
If it's skipping news, I have to kick you off
this ship. I thought we were talking get it.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
Together, sir. Oh my goodness. So Candy Burris, have you
heard y'all? Call me tell me what you think about that? Seriously,
do you think it is fair for eight for people
that are on snapped to have to do something for
eighty hours a month, y'all. I'm serious.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Call me and tell me what you think about it.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Nine o one five three five, nine three four two
eight hundred five zero three nine three four two eight
three three five three five nine three four two And
y'all know. Y'all can tap in on that iHeartRadio app
two or you can email me at stormy t at
mywd i a dot com. All right, Candy Burris and
her ex Todd, let's get him, okay, because he wants

(09:48):
the children. Yep, they have several children, and Todd is
going to We heard over the holiday break, I saw
the news where Todd and Candy are divorcing, and so
Todd is now saying because I don't think he said anything,

(10:10):
but he is now talking because Candy's talked a little bit,
and basically she kind of hinted that, you know, there
was trouble in paradise, so what we thought was paradise.
So Todd wants custody of their children.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
What are the chances of that? It depends.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
It depends on who I guess has been at home
with the kids and how he can. Usually when it
comes to getting custody of kids.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
We win the deliverer. Hello, absolutely, we win.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
So I don't know how this is going to affect
him because I know that Candy is a hard worker.
And if Todd is the one that's been at the
house taking care of the kids, you know what I'm saying,
if she's at home, if she's out making the money
and he's been at the house taking care you know
the A similar thing happened to halle Berry. One of
halle Berry's exes that she has a baby by has

(11:02):
you know, one of the children.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
We don't say baby daddy on the show.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yeah, we say baby daddy, one of the baby daddy's.
So anyway, it could be something. Yeah, this is this
could be heartbreaking really for both of them because what
you think could be amicable could not be. And and
you know, Todd is hoping that it will be, but
he said it's probably not gonna work out that way.
But he's also pressuring or not pressuring, but he's also

(11:28):
talking about the prenuptial agreement. He said that he was
pressured into signing it. Wow, so this could be something.
Does she has the money yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Which usually means she keeps the goods.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Well, you never know, I'm gonna tell you there are
there have been women like Tina Knowles. Tina Knowles had
to give her ex some money and then they they
had to but they don't have children, you know what
I'm saying. But when you have children in the mix,
that makes a difference. When there are children, you know

(12:06):
what I'm saying, that's where it can get messy.

Speaker 5 (12:09):
You know.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
And I hope that everything well, But I'm Carrie, is
what y'all think about that one?

Speaker 2 (12:14):
What do y'all think about it? Yeah? Let me say.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
I got an email Carrie Griffin. She says, I think
it's a good thing for people that can work. She's
talking about food stamps, and not for people that can't work. Okay,
for people that can't work, she's saying, And I think
it's not for people that can't, you know, physically, if
they're disabled. Yeah, if you're disabled, yeah yeah. So but

(12:38):
for people who can work, if you're able bodied, it.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Looks like you're gonna have to start applying.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
M And I got an email here from somebody who says,
stormy two days and in the garbage, talking about.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
That Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
After two days to the garbage, it goes Yeah, So
just curious what you think about that? And you know what,
I got a call here.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
Let's go back.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
Let's go to the phones real quick. See what's going on.

Speaker 1 (13:38):

a place to put those headphones on because he needs
to hear what you got to say, Lady D.

it's stowing me. Yes, take gather that you were talking
about he made a false police reporter asked somebody head
cook his car? Okay that I said this morning, yes,
leon like I said this morning.

Speaker 10 (15:08):
I don't want him to go.

Speaker 7 (15:09):
To jail for life, but he needs to step there
and least and least six months and think about it.
You go set your car off five he oh, yeah,
for the in showance money. That's why everybody is showing us.
Now it's high because you get food.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Because you got to.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
Be a food to do something like this. And then Carl,
what's up in my city?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Mental sign and.

Speaker 7 (15:35):
Chevy counter bys and report your car stolen. Now you
wasting til you wasting time money. They out hunt for
your car and you setting up laughing, thought you had

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Did He looked like he was laughing even when callers
hang on, call, hang on for me, call it, hang
on for me calling. He looked like he was laughing
when they were bringing him out and.

Speaker 10 (16:01):
Storing it.

Speaker 7 (16:02):
Exactly, you took the word out of my mouth, I
told JPS. So now see there, I'm gonna see this
is he gonna be laughing when the door said click
click in reality. See reality got to sit in here
with him because she crazy and.

Speaker 10 (16:17):
Someone with them children.

Speaker 7 (16:21):
Men think they want some tulis hand them, told them that,
look you want the.

Speaker 8 (16:25):

Speaker 7 (16:28):
They think children. Look if you want the judge, hold

Speaker 2 (16:34):

Speaker 7 (16:37):
Yes, he want the Julie and yeah, yeah, because you

Now he don't want them, jud baby, that's the hardest
job besides old job, working a punt in this a
twenty four hour, seven days a week, three hundred and

(16:58):
sixty five days in a year. And when it said
that death to a card.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
That's what it.

Speaker 10 (17:04):
Means with them too.

Speaker 7 (17:05):
Now that note, have a good all.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Right, lady d thank you so much for calling. I
appreciate you calling. Let's go back to the phone lines.
W D I A hello, Yes, what's going on? I
can't call it, Big Hebrew, turn the radio down for
me and talk to me today.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
I just did it.

Speaker 10 (17:25):
I just did it.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
And what's going on doing? Hey, I can't call it.

Speaker 9 (17:30):
I'm just getting back.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
You know.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
I've been like hung food, you know, walking on the
sands of the desert, you know, the last couple of months,
you know. And so now, like I told saying this morning,
I'm rejuvenated, you know, we dedicated, okay, and soon to
be relocated.

Speaker 8 (17:46):
And like you said, Storm me, I.

Speaker 10 (17:47):
Love to call up here storing me and just share
with share some things, you know, and I want to
talk about mindset.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
Okay, because everything I'm saying right now, Storm, I'm saying,
I'm saying out of love, and some of y'all ain't
gonna get you know, but I want you to consider
what I'm saying, okay, because I feel that we're beloving
who our lineage and who we are. Okay, there are
forty seven nations on the contint after where are you from?

Speaker 10 (18:14):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (18:15):
And we don't know enough about the Bible because we
don't look at the Bible as being our history book.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
And it's a prophetic book.

Speaker 10 (18:22):
And you've heard me say on.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
This bookcard passors are not talking about the prophecies in
these last days.

Speaker 9 (18:29):
You guys, you're not understanding what's going on.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
So, but what I do want to say is the
mindset that we should be in right now. We should
be in a mindset of wanting our king to come.
Who is our king of the Israelites. It is Jesus
to Christ you're sure, am yoh, he's the king that's
coming back to save us out of what you just

(18:52):
got to talking about?

Speaker 9 (18:53):
Is it right? What you mean?

Speaker 3 (18:55):
You got to so now these times when it's so hard,
we got to work.

Speaker 9 (19:00):
And all that we know built this nation.

Speaker 10 (19:02):
We've built all nations.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Understand the mindset I'm saying. So I'm I mean, look,
I don't have no gun to do nothing with nobody. Okay,
But what I'm saying is our God, just like in Egypt,
he's going to fight out battles for us. And I
don't see passes are talking about this on this.

Speaker 9 (19:18):
Level to y'all.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
And that's all I'm saying because the perspectus that y'all
look at it, you the little God, that's what got
us put on slave ships going out to other nations gods,
and right now this white Jesus, y'all want to put
up Christmas trees and all.

Speaker 10 (19:31):
That kind of go up too.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Oh, it's from kind of gets you.

Speaker 10 (19:34):
You can't worse.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
You can't drink from the cup of devils.

Speaker 8 (19:38):
And the cup of the Lord.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
All right, all right, all right, holly back at me.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
Okay, think he will be serious, man, Okay, uh huh,
all right, Uh let's go back to the phone. See
what y'all are talking about on today. W d I

wife Thad out of the way, and I cooked something
up good like lurt Benny.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Wait a minute, wait, holds up, Danny, Wait a minute,
hold on calling. Wait, so you cooked your food and
then what do you do now?

Speaker 10 (20:19):
Now? I cook the day like Lury Beverley did on Honey.
You know you always her with she cooks the day.

Speaker 6 (20:23):

Speaker 10 (20:25):
I'm going to invite you and your husband. Okay, we
invite your hub.

Speaker 3 (20:29):
Y'all get a plate and I might get and play
long eating my operation.

Speaker 10 (20:33):
I cooked some pigs feet and peter.

Speaker 8 (20:34):
It was some crapling, hot salt.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I'm not gonna make it.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Have a good d all right, can can can my
president that's sitting in here market president?

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Can he come?

Speaker 6 (20:47):
Yeah, I can't up the moderation.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
You gotta eat moderational to eat a moderation, I got
a right, but listen, uh it sounds yeah.

Speaker 11 (20:57):
Yeah, we have to thanking food the way man, we
gotta eat some.

Speaker 10 (21:02):
But you know, shoting the week off?

Speaker 2 (21:04):
How long you keep your food? Man? Thanksgiving food?

Speaker 9 (21:07):
Oh we kept it just for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (21:09):
And do the rich is awaiting like y'all.

Speaker 9 (21:11):
See.

Speaker 12 (21:11):
Okay, so I got, I got, I got some fresh
cooking like Nurse Depth and Nurse befitly well, she can
cook it, and she'said I might come get a plate.

Speaker 10 (21:18):
See, ain't the time she come and get a plate?

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Bro?

Speaker 10 (21:20):
I'm a hold on, maybe I.

Speaker 6 (21:21):
Get I may picked up some good next money.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Have a nice all right, Danny, and looking forward to
what you're cooking next Monday.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Okay, all right, okay, bye bye.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I don't eat pork like I used to. I mean
I might eat a little piece of bacon, but after that, man,
I'm not I'm not eating pork like.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I used to eat. The swine in the line?

Speaker 1 (21:45):
Yeah, not lying?

Speaker 2 (21:47):
What keep the swine in the line? In the line?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
What the world? Okay?

Speaker 8 (21:56):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Let me go to the app and see what you
guys are saying today.

Speaker 13 (21:59):
Good can storm me? How you doing a beautiful holiday?

Speaker 2 (22:03):
I did?

Speaker 13 (22:04):
I think it may be a good thing for the
young people to get out and get a job, because
some of them is not looking that they do not
want to work. You just want to lay up and
draw money and get their food stamps for the hell
of the people.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
That unable to work.

Speaker 9 (22:24):
No, I don't need it.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
If they don't need to be out there trying to
do nothing right, great, Yeah that's good.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah, y'all can tap in on that iHeartRadio app and
let us know what you think about that. Or you know,
if y'all still got that Thanksgiving food, I hope you

Uh so if you want to be a first time caller,
you can do that too. U nine on one five
three five nine three four two eight hundred five zero
three ninety three four two eight three three five three
five nine three four two ten seventy w T Hey,
Leah's the whole world.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
W d I A one and only.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
You've been waiting to do this appene on seventy all
my life. You've been grinding all your life, haven't you.
Uh you know when you made me think about Shadoor Sanders,
how proud of we are we of Chador? Is it
just me?

Speaker 2 (23:49):
It's not just me? No, it's not your shoot. I
mean a man got drafted in the fifth round easily
a first rounder. Yeah, very I had to be QB
three until everyone else left. They hated the premises, so
for him to step in first game, got knocked out,

(24:09):
came back, got to win, and did a really good
performance over the weekend. Although they didn't win, I'm still
a very solid performance the other quarterback that just as
well as he did so all sparing game. Very proud
of Shador. Yeah, any way, he handled it too, I
mean handled it with such Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
I like how he talks to the people that try
to It's almost like they're trying to pull him in
to say something bad about his coach, and he just
pulls right up out of it.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I do.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
I like that a lot about him, with kind of
style and grace. And you know, a lot of people
now saying that his dad, you know, did a good
job with those boys. But come on, y'all, he got
a mama to parents, got a mama to But yeah,
when the the you know, the reporter asked him about

(25:02):
the coach, and he had a few things to say
about that, and I was like, look at your doors
stepping into us. As a matter of fact, this is
what he said. Y'all listen to this this isn't a
dis man right here working on.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Those street pars and once it didn't work, And did
you like Kevin Avian the aggressiveness there even backed up
in your care for a few I.

Speaker 12 (25:20):
Mean, first, that's a rude question to ask if I
if I think you know, it was a great call,
but my coach, you know, like the aggression.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Don't you like the call?

Speaker 12 (25:29):
But do you like I like being out there playing?
So whatever that comes when it comes with you know,
like you know, we're not going to be here and
every point figure out, no coach.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Or doing anything like that.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah, I'm trying to tell you I don't know who
it's got to be his daddy. I mean, you know
they coached him like that because to good answer, staying
above it all good answer, good answer, stay above it,
don't trip up, don't get down, because that's what they want. Really,
that's what a lot of people want. They want you
to get down there. They want you to know, say

(26:03):
some stuff and be out of a job and so
they can talk about you.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah. What they can't understand is the confidence without the airgance. Mmm,
I can't understand it. Can't figure it out?

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Well here City of Memphis has announced. I just want
to let you guys know because we care here at
ten seventy WDA. The Warming center is open tonight because
it's cold outside. So if you know somebody that needs it,
call Mata nine oh one four eight six zero nine
three nine. Big story on social media, And I'm coming

(26:33):
to the phones because I know you guys want to talk,
and I'm gonna come to the emails because you guys
have emailed, you have all of that, So I'm coming
to you. So don't don't move, don't y'all go anywhere.
But there's a story that was brewing on social media
that I wanted to talk about. I didn't get to earlier.
But did y'all see the story? And has this ever
happened to you? Fellas you ever gone to get your
hair cut and it just went wrong?

Speaker 2 (26:56):
Absolutely? It probably happens to women more than men.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Probably, But this situation and and he shows the guy,
you know, his his hairline.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
I got pushed back to the eighties.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
I'm gonna tell you now his hairline was pushed back now.
I don't know, but what did it look like? Has
here's the question, what did it look like before? Because
if I don't know what it looked like before. How
can I say that he really messed you up? You
know what I'm saying. But at any rate, this man
got upset and I checked the story about this man.

(27:38):
It came it happened in Miami. I checked the story
and I saw where the police they know who this
man is, but they haven't arrested him. So it is
a crime to pull a gun on somebody.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
I was.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
So, oh it is Yet maybe he was standing in
his ground for a hair Come on here for your hairline, sir, sir.
Too much air on the ground, sir. At any rate,
this man was mad, and he was so mad that
he left. He talked to the barber and he told me,
he said, hey, you know, I don't like this, and

(28:16):
any at any rate, he came back with a gun
and he threatened the barber. This happened in Miami, and
I believe it was over the weekend, and everybody's talking
about it, and yeah, well, yeah, what would you do?
You get your hairline pushed back like that? How do
you handle something like that?

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Have you ever had your hair cut too much?

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (28:37):
And I was very upset want the trip the ends.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
But I never wanted to hurt anybody for doing it.
You know what I'm saying. I never wanted to I've
been mad about it. Of course you cannot. You can't
not pay in my opinion when it comes to you know,
stuff like that. But yeah, I'm a dead dad sometimes
when yeah, I have been like, no, I don't want
to pay for this.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
But when you eat and you don't like the food,
you don't necessarily have to pay.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
Who says when you go to the restaurant and you
order food you got to pay?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
What are you talking about? You can talk to a
manager and not pay.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
I wouldn't try it. Try leaving out of there and
not paying for food there.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I don't like the food, No, I mean, the key
is not to eat all of it and say you
don't like the food you.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
No, don't, just don't do it. Just just just so
you eat food you don't like all the time.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Okay, Yeah it happens, not to me.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
So if you go to a restaurant and you eat
food and you don't like it, you leave it.

Speaker 2 (29:39):
If I taste the food and it's not good, I'm
sending the food back. The only thing is if I'm
getting a haircut, and he pushed my line back, you know,
getting that back.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Oh, you can't get that back. Let's go to the phones.
We're gonna go to the app in a second to
see what y'all talking about. W D I A hello, Clyde,
what's gone out?

Speaker 9 (30:01):
They'm not shaking? How your kids doing?

Speaker 2 (30:05):
He's right here?

Speaker 9 (30:08):
All right, all right, storm.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
I just want to tell you I don't have Several friends.

Speaker 9 (30:14):
Got custody of their kids and righting the real good
I think. I think men do a good job too.

Speaker 6 (30:21):
I know my fight.

Speaker 9 (30:22):
They all did a good job. And it's like.

Speaker 14 (30:24):
Actually they got more respect than the mama got when
they took it, when they got the kids, and uh
they all went to school and got out, got their
degree and they're doing good. Okay, I think that's beating
and yeah, and this is coming down to the full
stamp situation.

Speaker 9 (30:42):
Storming, is this, This should have been happened.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
This should have been happened.

Speaker 9 (30:47):
Storm This just to wir too long, storm this.

Speaker 14 (30:51):
This has been decades. Uh, parents felling, they felling their children.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
No kids sitting around.

Speaker 8 (30:58):
If you're stelling around.

Speaker 15 (30:59):
And watch your dad that hustle every day.

Speaker 9 (31:02):
I ain't got a job. And that's what that's what
your kid gonna do.

Speaker 14 (31:06):
The mama sitting around all they're having babies, at the
babies at the baby, and different dads are come.

Speaker 9 (31:11):
To the house or the doorter gonna think that's natural.
So she goes around and have all kids. This should
have been having a storm. I mean, I'm glad it
happened because this was the eye opened the right of
the storm.

Speaker 14 (31:24):
Okay, this the only way, this is what you're gonna make.
This the only way you're gonna make them get up
and work. You saw when the thin and when the
post came to town.

Speaker 15 (31:32):
How many paper tag.

Speaker 9 (31:33):
You still on the street. You take care of a.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Storm, all right, Clyde, appreciate you calling in.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Y'all agree with Clyde? What do you think about this?
Should it that been?

Speaker 9 (31:43):
You know?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
I guess maybe that's the thing. A lot of people
not don't disagree with it. Some people like Clyde say
it should have happened a long time ago. Why now,
why did it happen a long time ago? Or should
it be happening at all? So y'all tell me what
you think about that, and you go get your hair done.
Barbara pushes your hairline back.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
What you gonna do?

Speaker 9 (32:05):
Is he wrong?

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Should he be arrested is the big question, because from
what I'm understanding, he hasn't been arrested yet. Let me
go to these emails here Thanksgiving food, Memphis man says,
I ordered pizzas and watched football. I stopped eating pork
years ago, and I'm trying to never eat fast food again.
Question for you, Stormy, do you know why they call

(32:26):
soul food soul food because it be taken?

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Wait? Do we know how they called pizza fast food?

Speaker 8 (32:35):
No?

Speaker 1 (32:35):
Do you know why they call soul food soul food
because it be taking our souls? I ain't gonna say
what he wrote, now watch your mouth. That stuff be
killing us. I'm on salmon and grilled chicken, but I
appreciate the traditional holiday food.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
I just can't do it anymore. Well, what saying is
pizza fast food? Said he doesn't eat fast food anymore.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Pizza is that fast?

Speaker 2 (33:00):
That's fast food.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
But I guess maybe you know, if you like me,
you give yourself you know what you like every now
and then you don't eat it all the time on Thanksgiving?
Whatever works for him? Whatever works, Let's go to the
app and see what you're saying.

Speaker 11 (33:16):
Yes, time ingreed and the president your irias ain't going
from and they see a place me coming from.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Hey, me's that president you didn't forgive our ireas. I
like this. She she she's a star star true, true
a shot. Okay, I heard you talking back to it.
Big up the drug. Okay. I don't know what they're saying.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Anyway, let's go back to the app. Chicago, Chicago. I
don't know what you're saying. Honey, you're going to call
me on this phone or you know, when you use
the app talking to the phone so that I can
understand you. I could tell you were there, but you're
very low and hey, I don't want to keep you

(34:05):
on the phone like that. So let's go back to
the phone and see what you guys are talking about.

Speaker 9 (34:09):
W D I A hello, Well, thank you for taking
my call.

Speaker 1 (34:15):

Speaker 9 (34:26):
It was great?

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Good?

Speaker 15 (34:28):
You know, I came across from people who say I
don't celebrate Thanksgiving. You know, I don't celebrate Christmas. Individuals
like that I said to myself, you just don't know
how to be thankful. You know, everybody got something to
be thankful for, even if you know, rose a turkey

(34:52):
on Thanksgiving Day or whatever the case. But at any rate,
you were saying something early here about food.

Speaker 8 (35:02):
Sem I think sometimes we need to put some.

Speaker 15 (35:05):
Of these things to rest, and sometime we just be
majored on the miners, beating the dead horse.

Speaker 10 (35:11):
If you are.

Speaker 15 (35:12):
Eighteen to sixty three or sixty four, whatever the case,
and you are an able bodied person, you're not mentally impaired,
you're not mentally challenged, you're not disable to worry.

Speaker 9 (35:28):
You've been approved not to work.

Speaker 15 (35:31):
If you are able body individual, especially if you are
a single individual.

Speaker 9 (35:38):
You need to work.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
And get off the government door. I agreement with the Conservative.

Speaker 15 (35:46):
Even the Bible says if a man don't work.

Speaker 8 (35:49):
He ought not to eat. Laziness is a sin. Run
around here lazy, you know.

Speaker 15 (35:58):
I think he used to be the Odjys used to
say that song, uh, it ain't known joke when the
man is broken.

Speaker 8 (36:05):
You remember that song of the old j.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Was that the old j Yeah, hold on, caller, let
me see, ain't no joking. I think so I think
that's one of the lyrics from one of their songs.

Speaker 15 (36:15):

Speaker 9 (36:23):
You need to work if.

Speaker 15 (36:24):

need to clean up the the enrollment of Social Security
enrollment enrollment people who are enrolled in Social Kurity. If

(36:47):
dollars are paying for individuals who are getting foods dow
and then going to the supply store her supplies though
and bad weed for four.

Speaker 9 (36:57):
Hundred dollars in two hundred and fifty dollars.

Speaker 15 (37:01):
They don't they don't need to be on food stamps.
If that's because they're lots of jobs now for people
to work in South Haven down now they've got factories
all up and down State.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Line Road and south Shop and got a bad haircut,
can they by the weave them, mister black conservative.

Speaker 15 (37:24):
Yeah, if you go into the barber shop and your
hair cuts for cuts of thirty five dollars, you don't
need to be.

Speaker 8 (37:29):
On food staff neither.

Speaker 15 (37:31):
We beat up to women sometime, but sometimes we need
to beat up the men too, because they're lazy too.

Speaker 9 (37:36):
And don't want to work most of the time.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
I got you, Black Conservative, thank you for calling in.

Speaker 9 (37:41):
Okay, I appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
All right, have a good one.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
I wonder if he's still got his Thanksgiving food. We
should have asked, he Conservative. He probably do tup of
wear it up tight air locks.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Hmmm. It's interesting. He says, we've beaten a dead horse.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
What he says.

Speaker 1 (38:03):
I wanted to tell you, guys, the story about the man.
I was telling you about the Covington man that's behind
bars after he was accused of setting his own suv
on fire to claim insurance money MM in front of
the cameras sixty four year William Holland. He was charged
with filing a foster police report, filing a false insurance claim,

(38:24):
and tampering with evidence. CPD says they responded to a
motor vehicle theft in the eleven hundred block of Pine
Street and Covington. This was Monday, two pm last Monday.
I believe when they arrived, Holland informed them that someone
had stolen his gmc acadia after returning home from buying chitterlings.

Speaker 2 (38:48):
That's the story.

Speaker 1 (38:52):
The story. If you say it correct that Chitterlings. After
officers at the scene noticed glass in the carport of
his residence, Holland told them that he didn't hear any
glass break and was unaware of who had taken that vehicle.
During the investigation, detective stated they learned Holland was behind

(39:16):
on payments for his SUV and this prompted detectives to
pull video footage from cameras throughout Covington, and they got
cameras this is let this be a lesson. This is
a teachable moment. Okay, let this be a lesson to
you what happened to this man? And they said they
saw Holland driving the SUV in the direction of Neil
Road just outside of the city limits. Authorities found his

(39:39):
vehicle on Neil Road near Alonso Lane in northeast Tipton County,
completely burned. Detectives said they conducted or concluded rather that
Holland filed a false report and they believe he said
his Acadia on fire. Nice Holland was asked to come

(39:59):
in into the Covington Police Department to you know, be
questioned on the inconsistencies in his report. Police said that
he declined to make a statement regarding the case.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Well he did one smart thing, what declined. But he's
in jail.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Well, he's gonna be in court on tomorrow. It's an
interesting story. I it's let that be a lesson because
now with AI, with all the cameras everywhere, and hey,
just so y'all know there are new cameras on the
streets here in Memphis. And so if you think about

(40:39):
running lights and you know, doing all of that, think again.
They gonna they're gonna send you a warning at first,
and I think the thirty day warning is over. The
warning period. Now it's ticket time. You won't get them tickets.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
There's a camera at every stop, lad, I.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Don't know about every but they've added quite a few
to Memphis to the ones that were already here.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
If you're going to burn a car, let's assume there's
a camera. Yeah, just don't, just don't.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Just don't. We're gonna come back and we're gonna talk
some more. So y'all call in. You want to get
in on the conversation, David, I see you, Uh, if
y'all want to call in, and I see some people
have tapped in on the app as well. Nino one
five three five, nine three four two eight hundred five
zero three nine three four two eight three three five
three five nine three four two.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
We'll be back there.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Rosa sets, so we could ride.

Speaker 17 (41:31):
Is that how?

Speaker 2 (41:32):
He said?

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Something like that, Rosa set so we could stand there
you go, Rosa sets so we could drive?

Speaker 2 (41:39):
Hell up, there we go?

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Come on anyway, Montgomery. Back then there was a city
ordinance and it allowed bus drivers to assign seating right. However,
it did not permit them to demand a passenger give
up their seat. Despite this, bus drivers had customarily required
black passengers to give up their seats to white passengers

(42:01):
when the buses became full. Rosa said, not, I not today.
She didn't get up, So it is Rosa Park's day.
Just f yi, everybody, and I didn't think about this,
but I do want you to be careful if you're
out there traveling, if you're out driving, and.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Fellas you especially.

Speaker 1 (42:25):
I don't think ladies have to worry about this so
much unless you're in the other side, sitting in that car.
I don't think ladies have to.

Speaker 12 (42:36):
This is just me.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
Because I've said this for a long time that women
don't cheat like you agree. Wait, no, no, uh uh
uh uh.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Women don't cheat. I've seen some cheating women. Okay, fine,
I've heard stories.

Speaker 1 (42:55):
All right, anybody, it's better when I say that, nobody
can jump back. But watch out of them cameras, fellas.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
Yeah, fellas. If you in the car and uh you
know those speeding tickets and the red light tickets, careful
who is uh getting caught in the seat next to you?
Because when that male comes to the crib and you
think you're just getting a ticket, but then you can't
explain who that person is with that time stamping that
dates mm hmm, it's gonna cost a lot of money.

(43:31):
It's gonna cost way more than that ticket. Baby. So fellas,
heads up shot. The Memphis I heard Memphis was the
side peace capital. Is that true of the world? I
heard that too. That's yes, that's what I heard.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Be careful, fellas, yeah, do do be careful because you
remember the story about what's the Google? You know how
Google takes it takes a picture of your house. So
this man and his wife filed for divorce because she
saw his Google picture.

Speaker 2 (44:06):
Of the house.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
It was him with another woman.

Speaker 11 (44:08):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Yeah, So cameras are EveryWare, y'all.

Speaker 2 (44:14):
Beware. Okay, be careful with them.

Speaker 9 (44:16):
All right.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
We're not advocates for cheating, absolutely not all no, but
we just want you to be aware if you are cheating.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Teachable moment, Yeah, don't burn your car, right because they watching.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Everybody's watching.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
Somebody's always watching. Let's go to the phone. See who's
talking w di Ia or who wants to talk WD?

Speaker 10 (44:39):
I A Hello, how are you?

Speaker 1 (44:43):
David?

Speaker 5 (44:44):
Hey?

Speaker 18 (44:47):
Doing all right?

Speaker 15 (44:48):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (44:48):
I am good.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
How you doing?

Speaker 9 (44:51):
I'm doing well? And to your guest, hello, what's up David?

Speaker 2 (44:54):
How you doing?

Speaker 9 (44:56):
I'm doing well, brother? How you doing?

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Blessed?

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Yeah, that's my that's my boss to David.

Speaker 9 (45:01):
Oh really yeah, I thought I thought you just married Oba.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
Well, well yeah, talk that talk David, talk that dog.
Did you know he's listening that, don't you? But this
is our market president, Leon is in the room.

Speaker 9 (45:18):
Well, welcome with Leon to the even show. There you go.

Speaker 11 (45:23):
Okay, great, Well, my main reason for calling the day
absolutely was that I missed uh talking to you and
wishing you a great holiday season. Oh, thank you, A
safe one, an enjoyable one, and all of that.

Speaker 9 (45:41):
So I got that covered. I also missed Portia too,
which I like as well. But it's like, what is
that of riches?

Speaker 11 (45:51):
An embarrassment of riches to have all those beautiful ladies
at w D I A that works on and lady.
But let me say about twenty years ago at least,
I got sick of people talking about the statistas on welfare.
I think it was called FDC as the Family Dependent Children,
and I looked it up on the internet, at the

(46:14):
government's website to see what actually the statistics were, and
it turned out, rather than the quote unquote welfare queen
that Ronald Reagan liked to spout, which was a total lie,
the average on welfare is on welfare two years and

(46:35):
there's two points something because of the statistics, and then
the average woman a person had two point something children. Now,
if you look it up and you spend the time,
you don't have to be comfortable, confident and committed to ignorance.
Mister you were dykee mine, because you ain't every day.

(46:57):
But the point is is that I think that if
it comes to book knowledge, that if you ever picked
up a book, you will breakout and high, you have lesions.
You spout this ignorance and you're proud of it. While
the President of the United States is partn a. I'm
an equivocal, equivocal drug dealer that was the head of

(47:21):
another state of a country. Yet he's telling us that
Argentina needs.

Speaker 9 (47:27):
To be bombed out of existence.

Speaker 11 (47:30):
And yet y'all call here with these characters, the assassinations
of people that you say are gaming the system. But
you never, you never, ever, ever talk about government contractors
like Eli Musk.

Speaker 9 (47:46):
I'm not saying Eli Musk's game.

Speaker 11 (47:47):
In the system, but they are contractors who the government
pays one hundred dollars for a screw driver. Now who
are they driving the schools in think about that. But
yet here you are about food stamp, of which, by
the way, in case you didn't know, a lot of
that money goes to administrative cart and never even goes

(48:09):
down to the person.

Speaker 9 (48:10):
They just get the little change they get. But a
lot of administrative call or it goes to.

Speaker 11 (48:15):
In food stamps, Walmart, Kroger, whatever other stores you're talking about,
and the farmer. So it supports the whole system.

Speaker 9 (48:23):
And why would you want to starve.

Speaker 11 (48:24):
Baby mister erro dake, Oh excuse me, you're a dyke mine,
because in the end, I can tell you this As
someone who is pro choice as I am, I still
do not ever want to hear somebody talking about starving
baby because that's what happens. So if there's fraud in
the school stamp system, ak.

Speaker 7 (48:45):
Snaw still with the fraud, and I would accept.

Speaker 11 (48:48):
The fraud rather than baby starting starving, because I'm not
a baby killer like your president, by the way.

Speaker 9 (48:56):
So but that being said, system, I want you to
enjoy the rest of your day.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
All right, David, thank you so much for calling in.
I appreciate you. Okay, David is serious about that.

Speaker 2 (49:06):
I wonder how you felt about the job situation though,
if you don't have a job.

Speaker 1 (49:12):
Well, the good part to me is that it's not
talking about mothers with children.

Speaker 2 (49:18):
It's talking about people who don't have kids.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
That's the good part to me, so able bodied people
people that it's not about, you know, the kids are
supposed to be okay, and so I don't know. But
it depends because it's one thing to say that it
talks about that, and it's yet another to see who's
getting the letters. Indeed, because if you're saying that the
mothers with children won't be affected, but they're getting the

(49:44):
letters it's like you got to make it make sense,
you know what I'm saying. So anyway, let me see,
let your president know that pizzas are also made at
actual pizza houses, not just fast fast food places. And
if he could open his mind, he would probably enjoy
vegan pizza.

Speaker 2 (50:05):
I'm actually vegan.

Speaker 1 (50:06):
Yeah, high protein, cottage cheese pizza.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
Huh huh, I'm kidding, I'm not vegan.

Speaker 1 (50:12):
Well what are you?

Speaker 2 (50:13):
Cascatarian?

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Pescatarian? Okay, okay, so you do eat vegan pizzas though, Yeah,
I'll put some cheese on the pizza. My point was,
you know, come on, pizza is fast pizza. It depends
on where you buy it.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
Some great pizzas out there is gonna make pizzas. You know,
Jared Deli's in Chicago.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
It's spinach pizza, he says, Sheep, grays lion.

Speaker 9 (50:35):
Well come out here.

Speaker 2 (50:37):
Oh god, somebody got some monda Hey, hey that's that.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Bring me some of that.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Pizza, all right, shot to you pizzas, Yeah, bring some
of that over here.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Let's see. Please, let black conservatives know that only twenty
percent of foodstamped recipients are black, which means one out
of five people, and that most black people work. Thank you, Stormy,
You're welcome. That's why you supposed to have your windows tinted,
even even the front one.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
That's another ticket.

Speaker 1 (51:11):
What get on out of here, Clyde, go somewhere with Clyde.

Speaker 2 (51:14):
That's another ticket. Man, What the world.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
Let's go to the app because you guys are tapping
in on the Apple to see what you're saying on today.

Speaker 19 (51:21):
Hey's Stormy about the guy who got his hair cut
in Florida. I don't know if he was visiting out
of town, but what he should have done. He should
have got his hair cut before he left where he lived.
Anytime you go in the barber shop, if the guy
asks you can I help you, you know that that's
usually a guy that can't cut hair. Because anybody is
any good. They got folks already waiting on him. Take care, Storming.

(51:42):
Glad to see you back, Thank you, Glad to be back. Yeah,
I think this guy Leon.

Speaker 1 (51:47):
You were telling me the story. So they did arrest
the guy.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
They got him. They got him but on unrelated charges.
So he's actually a felon. Hmmm. Felons can't have guns,
but he did.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
He work for the city. He worked for transit, so
technically yes, wow, interesting on so many levels. And maybe
that's why the barber was like, man, I ain't mister.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
But he's been going to this guy for quite some time,
about a year you said, yeah, wow interesting. Let's go
back to the app.

Speaker 1 (52:20):
Hey, Stormy, how wore you good?

Speaker 2 (52:22):
And your guest?

Speaker 20 (52:24):
I hope you had a wonderful, fantabulous holiday and welcome back, Stormy.
Please allow me to wish my granddaughter a belated birthday
on yesterday. Her name is the Erica McNeil and thank
you so much.

Speaker 2 (52:45):
Bye bye.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
I'm this Scotia thist.

Speaker 2 (52:49):
She's sexy with it.

Speaker 1 (52:50):
Doms kochha, Okay, let's go back to the app. You
know what's stolen?

Speaker 21 (52:54):
We the only rays mistreat each other and talk about
each other lack of dollar. Do your real white people
seeing the complained about that their own count of positive
fool stamps and they the biggest.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
Consumer of the fool stamps?

Speaker 21 (53:07):
The chart is out forty five percent white, twenty five
percent black, and the rest over Latin and all the
rest of fifteen percent?

Speaker 2 (53:15):
What is they talking about?

Speaker 21 (53:16):
And why is y'all worried about people on fool stamp
I never got a stamp a day in my life.

Speaker 2 (53:20):
I'm not worried about the all speaking m pay Yeah,
let's go back to the app he started for a
city pack. He should have set that truck up to
be burnt up before he was behind on payments. He
knew he was gonna be behind anyway. That's the way.

Speaker 22 (53:37):
He already had deal done and had One of his
homeboys now said that us like.

Speaker 9 (53:42):
People now be doing down in the hood.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I'm from the big city of Fort City and join
your show.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
Thank you for a city pack. We don't want to
get these folks no ideas on how.

Speaker 2 (53:52):
To do that right? Oh my goodness, I said he
knew he couldn't afford the pendents.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
I didn't know where I think. I think it's pad again.
Let' see what you're.

Speaker 9 (54:02):
Saying, storm reforested and pat here.

Speaker 22 (54:05):
I'd like to let the community know this ags alpha
Galla syndrome. You get bit by a tick, it would
miss up your entire life. You can't hardly eat nothing,
you would lose weight, you would be sick.

Speaker 9 (54:22):
So people be aware. It's not no joke based for
your show.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Oh yeah, all right, what are we talking about? Uh see?

Speaker 1 (54:32):
He said a A g S alpha galla syndrome.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
I've never heard of it.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
Wait, let me let me take that back. I think
I have heard of it. I wonder if it is
it similar to Line's disease. Did he say you get
bit by tick?

Speaker 20 (54:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (54:49):
Okay, that's what I need to know.

Speaker 1 (54:51):
Yeah, we don't want it. Let's go back to the phones.
W D I A hello.

Speaker 2 (54:58):
Hello he how's it going?

Speaker 8 (55:03):
Oh, I'm found How you doing good?

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Doing good?

Speaker 10 (55:07):
Okay? Hello you all righty, everything's good. Then the first
day had to be laid a birthday to be storming? Yes, yeah,
uh huh okay, three comings right quick.

Speaker 12 (55:23):
Uh.

Speaker 10 (55:24):
I don't have a problem with the with the rules
about the uh about the SNAP program because it's specified people.
It's specify certain people. And so if you are able
to work, I think that you should be doing something
productive to try to help support yourself. I don't think
anyone that's able should be totally relying on on uh

(55:46):
taxpaers money, you know. And it's not about you know,
starving kids, but it's about you putting in an effort
to help support your kids.

Speaker 6 (55:55):
You know.

Speaker 10 (55:56):
So there are options, you know, to school or attempt
to go to school through some public service or whatever
you can to show, to show some kind of effort.
So I you know, to me, it makes sense.

Speaker 9 (56:10):
Okay.

Speaker 10 (56:11):
Brian McKnight, Oh night coming, one.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
Second coming, man, I'll call it. Hold on, yeah, Brian McKnight,
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 10 (56:22):
Uh. I think I think he probably could have kept
their coming to himself. Although I will say that when
we talk about abortion, if we only knew how many
abortion women, how many abortions women have, you know, for
different reasons. Some may be medical reasons.

Speaker 2 (56:39):
Some people have.

Speaker 10 (56:40):
Some women have abortions by choice, you know, and so
even you know, there's a big fight about abortion right,
the right to aboard if a woman choose to do so.
I do think that was distasteful for him to say,
but we must remember women have abortions a bit, I believe.

(57:01):
And lastly, the man taking the baby.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
You know.

Speaker 10 (57:05):
I was a single father myself, you know, my son's
mother passed in an automobile accident. Dads could be good fathers,
We could be good father if we had opportunities. I
understand there are some dads that don't step up to
the test or to the task. Yeah, but those who do,
we take care we love our kids and we will
take care of our kids. A lot of the times

(57:27):
just a bunch of mess that goes on between the
mother and the father that obstructs the relationships and being
that father a lot of the times fall short of
his responsibility.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Because he got problems with the mother.

Speaker 10 (57:41):
Dad myself, I can tell you myself.

Speaker 2 (57:44):
We could be great dads.

Speaker 8 (57:46):
I know I was.

Speaker 10 (57:47):
Yeah, and my son, my children almost my older children
almost forty years old, and so we could do it.
But you know, most of the time the system gives
the mother of the child, so that takes away opportun
tu the off the top, you know. But yeah, a
lot of us could be good dads.

Speaker 1 (58:05):
I believe that.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
Yeah, there's a lot of good dads out there, a
whole lot of them. Yeah. H and for you coming in,
yeah good, good for you for stepping up to the plate.

Speaker 10 (58:15):
Yeah, I'm tells I'm stormy.

Speaker 8 (58:18):
Yeah, you know when that, when that happened, I said
to myself.

Speaker 10 (58:22):
That I wasn't gonna let his mother down, you know.

Speaker 9 (58:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (58:24):
And I had a great support system. I had a
great support system from my family and her family, and
we are and we are still one family right to
this day. I love her family.

Speaker 2 (58:33):
Yeah, yep, that's awesome.

Speaker 10 (58:35):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (58:36):
Coming appreciate your calling in and shining light on those
good dads out there.

Speaker 2 (58:39):
Thank you. All right, all right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:43):
I had a situation with my son's father one time,
and you know, he he stepped in and and and
raised my son because my son was.

Speaker 12 (59:00):
Me.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
See it's gievous becoming a man.

Speaker 6 (59:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
And I didn't know how to you know, I ain't
gonna lie. I know that I didn't know how to
do it. I don't speak man often. You know what
I'm saying. I'm learning. I don't speak man, I speak
I speak woman at any rate. I sent my son
to deliver with his dad, and I remember one time
me and his dad were having a conversation and he

(59:25):
was telling me that I should have How did he
say it? He said, this is what I do, and
this is what I do, and this is what I do.
And I was never the kind of you know, a
person that just spoke out a lot, you know, because
I'm one of those passive aggressive kind of people. W
d I a hold on for me? Hold on, caller,

(59:47):
I'm coming to you. I was kind of a passive
aggressive kind of person, so I never but but he
said he was talking to me and basically saying all
these great things about being a dad, you know, and
I remember the years that he was wasn't there at all,
you know what I'm saying. And I'm not saying that
to make him look bad, because he's a good father,

(01:00:07):
you know what I'm saying. He stepped up to the plate.
But I remember telling him when he was, you know,
making trying to make me feel bad, say you don't,
you're those are things that you were supposed to do,
you know. So I mean that, yeah, And I was
always the person who was there even when you didn't

(01:00:28):
really want to be there, when you were absent, hold
on caller. You know, I'm like I was, so, you know,
I appreciate him and the contributions he made to our
son's life, but I just felt at the time, you know,
that wasn't the right time to kind of But being parents,

(01:00:49):
I think is you have a lot of teachable moments
because nobody gives you a book. There's no playbook on
how to parent, and there's no playbook on how to
parents certain kids. You know, you just have kids and
they turn out to be a certain way and You're like, Okay,
who do you.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Think got the harder part of the job, You raising
the kid in its early age or your ex husband.

Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
He wasn't my husband. I'm married and I'm not trying
to be bragging about it or nothing like that, because
we should have been married popping out kids like that,
But I did so. I think I and my son
might not like it for me to say this, but
I think.

Speaker 2 (01:01:33):
He got the harder job. Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
I think he had the hearder job because he had to.

Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
You know, yea deal with a growing man hello that I.

Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Didn't know how to deal with. And by the time
I got him back, you know, uh, to live with
me his senior year because his dad had moved out
of the district and all that.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
It was it's easy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Sure, it was up. You know they say what CARDI
say if it's up to the stuff, So it was up,
you know so. But but yeah, he it was a
tough job for him. I think he got the harder
part of it, and I'm and I'm grateful. I'm grateful.

Speaker 11 (01:02:17):
We did that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
Yeah, Okay, let me go to the phones and see
who's on his phone. W D I A hello, Hi, Hi, there.
How you doing. I'm fabulous? Is this Angie?

Speaker 17 (01:02:31):
Hey girl, Hey, I just wanted to say we really
enjoyed the anniversary celebration.

Speaker 7 (01:02:38):

and we really had it some time.

Speaker 8 (01:02:45):
You came.

Speaker 1 (01:02:46):

of all you guys on social media. Thank you Tracy
for reminding me to do that. And we got all
those pictures up and and I'm telling y'all, y'all were
just beautiful.

Speaker 2 (01:03:04):
Yeah turn.

Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
Yes, Yeah, Leon was there.

Speaker 17 (01:03:08):
He was there?

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):

Speaker 17 (01:03:13):
Okay, okay, I'm great. How you doing?

Speaker 7 (01:03:18):
And I just wanted to ask the question.

Speaker 10 (01:03:22):
A lot of people didn't get the T shirts and
I'm one of the ones.

Speaker 1 (01:03:27):
Yeah, I was told to ask.

Speaker 9 (01:03:28):
So you are gonna have some more planning.

Speaker 2 (01:03:31):
We're gonna figure that out, Angie. Getting a lot of
requests and a lot of demand from the shirts.

Speaker 1 (01:03:36):
Yeah, Angie, I'm gonna tell you. I'm gonna tell you something.
You're not gonna believe him. But my husband didn't get
no T shirt either.

Speaker 15 (01:03:42):
Well you know what, you know what.

Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
Let me tell you.

Speaker 2 (01:03:44):
I heard about it all the way to the house.

Speaker 8 (01:03:48):
You know, you know you were supposed to have him
a T shirt, right.

Speaker 5 (01:03:51):
That's what he said.

Speaker 6 (01:03:55):
So what happened?

Speaker 17 (01:03:56):
I realized I had my chicken and I went back home.
When I got there, I ain't, you know, to tell
my ticket.

Speaker 23 (01:04:02):
That's how I missed my shirt.

Speaker 8 (01:04:03):
I went home to get my ticket.

Speaker 17 (01:04:05):
Oh no, yes, I didn't buy a ticket online.

Speaker 8 (01:04:09):
I got one from aunt and I because I was
kna uh.

Speaker 9 (01:04:13):

which called b IP tables. You know, if I had,
if I had purchased a VIP table, I would have
expected to be sitting at a long table, you know,
not you know, not crowded up around people.

bit deceitd arrangement.

my part.

We appreciate.

to common Man. It sounds like he said that women
were having lots of abortions. The Supreme Court and President
Trump have made all abortions illegal and causing many deaths
of women. Yeah, because I'm not sure if that's all

(01:29:47):
the way correct, but but but I hear what you're saying.
Young August says, I agree with David for the most part,
but I see it as the benefits, uh that the
upper class received eve sets them up to become even
more wealthy. On the other hand, the benefits that the
middle and lower class receive helps keep them where they

(01:30:10):
are unless the individual has the mindset to only use
the benefits temporarily. This can be a comm up for
the younger generation if our mindset changes. Happy Rosa Parks Day.
That's from Young August. Shot the young August talking to talk.
