You know what got me was the comments. When I

it's got to me though. It was kind of heartbreaking
because I mean, you look at everything that's happening in

sam situation, you know, and now that's changing because if
you heard the latest with food stamps, what the deal
is now In case you didn't know, for those folks
that are on food stamps, snap, it's not going to
be the same because if you're between eighteen and sixty four,

if you do not have kids at home, not in school,
you're not disabled, and you're not working twenty plus hours
a week, the government is coming for your benefits.

So folks across Tennessee already, they're already getting letters saying
that they could lose two to three hundred dollars a
month in their food stamps, and so a lot of
folks saying basically they're devastated. Now this is for people
that are between eighteen to sixty four and don't have
kids at home, not in school, yep, not disabled, and

not working twenty plus hours a week. So I'm hearing
they've got to do something for eighty hours. So the
rules were delayed during the shutdown, but they are moving forward.
Unless you work volunteer or do a job training, you know,
eighty hours a month, you only get three months of

SNAP in a three year period. Oh wow, So what

I was telling you about the Covington man that's behind
bars after he was accused of setting his own suv
on fire to claim insurance money MM in front of
the cameras sixty four year William Holland. He was charged
with filing a foster police report, filing a false insurance claim,

and tampering with evidence. CPD says they responded to a
motor vehicle theft in the eleven hundred block of Pine
Street and Covington. This was Monday, two pm last Monday.
I believe when they arrived, Holland informed them that someone
had stolen his gmc acadia after returning home from buying chitterlings.

officers at the scene noticed glass in the carport of
his residence, Holland told them that he didn't hear any
glass break and was unaware of who had taken that vehicle.

on payments for his SUV and this prompted detectives to
pull video footage from cameras throughout Covington, and they got
cameras this is let this be a lesson. This is

saw Holland driving the SUV in the direction of Neil
Road just outside of the city limits. Authorities found his

vehicle on Neil Road near Alonso Lane in northeast Tipton County,
completely burned. Detectives said they conducted or concluded rather that
Holland filed a false report and they believe he said
his Acadia on fire. Nice Holland was asked to come

questioned on the inconsistencies in his report. Police said that
he declined to make a statement regarding the case.

just a bunch of mess that goes on between the
mother and the father that obstructs the relationships and being
that father a lot of the times fall short of
his responsibility.

I'm one of those passive aggressive kind of people. W

aggressive kind of person, so I never but but he
said he was talking to me and basically saying all
these great things about being a dad, you know, and
I remember the years that he was wasn't there at all,
you know what I'm saying. And I'm not saying that
to make him look bad, because he's a good father,

you know what I'm saying. He stepped up to the plate.
But I remember telling him when he was, you know,
making trying to make me feel bad, say you don't,
you're those are things that you were supposed to do,
you know. So I mean that, yeah, And I was
always the person who was there even when you didn't

really want to be there, when you were absent, hold
on caller. You know, I'm like I was, so, you know,
I appreciate him and the contributions he made to our
son's life, but I just felt at the time, you know,
that wasn't the right time to kind of But being parents,

I think is you have a lot of teachable moments
because nobody gives you a book. There's no playbook on
how to parent, and there's no playbook on how to
parents certain kids. You know, you just have kids and
they turn out to be a certain way and You're like, Okay,
who do you.

Think got the harder part of the job, You raising
the kid in its early age or your ex husband.

He wasn't my husband. I'm married and I'm not trying
to be bragging about it or nothing like that, because

might not like it for me to say this, but

And yeah, was he donkey of the day this morning, No,

D was talking about the story this morning. I saw
it over the holidays when I was sitting and chilling.
You know what got me was the comments. When I
saw the comments on social media about it, and you know,
it's got to me though. It was kind of heartbreaking
because I mean, you look at everything that's happening in

our world today. You look at you know, the food
sam situation, you know, and now that's changing because if
you heard the latest with food stamps, what the deal
is now In case you didn't know, for those folks
that are on food stamps, snap, it's not going to
be the same because if you're between eighteen and sixty four,

if you do not have kids at home, not in school,
you're not disabled, and you're not working twenty plus hours
a week, the government is coming for your benefits.

So folks across Tennessee already, they're already getting letters saying
that they could lose two to three hundred dollars a
month in their food stamps, and so a lot of
folks saying basically they're devastated. Now this is for people
that are between eighteen to sixty four and don't have
kids at home, not in school, yep, not disabled, and

not working twenty plus hours a week. So I'm hearing
they've got to do something for eighty hours. So the
rules were delayed during the shutdown, but they are moving forward.
Unless you work volunteer or do a job training, you know,
eighty hours a month, you only get three months of

SNAP in a three year period. Oh wow, So what
do y'all think about that?

bars after he was accused of setting his own suv
on fire to claim insurance money MM in front of
the cameras sixty four year William Holland. He was charged
with filing a foster police report, filing a false insurance claim,

and tampering with evidence. CPD says they responded to a
motor vehicle theft in the eleven hundred block of Pine
Street and Covington. This was Monday, two pm last Monday.
I believe when they arrived, Holland informed them that someone
had stolen his gmc acadia after returning home from buying chitterlings.

his residence, Holland told them that he didn't hear any

pull video footage from cameras throughout Covington, and they got

even you know, there's a big fight about abortion right,
the right to aboard if a woman choose to do so.
I do think that was distasteful for him to say,

I was a single father myself, you know, my son's
mother passed in an automobile accident. Dads could be good fathers,
We could be good father if we had opportunities. I
understand there are some dads that don't step up to
the test or to the task. Yeah, but those who do,
we take care we love our kids and we will
take care of our kids. A lot of the times

just a bunch of mess that goes on between the
mother and the father that obstructs the relationships and being
that father a lot of the times fall short of
his responsibility.

Because he got problems with the mother.

Dad myself, I can tell you myself.

We could be great dads.

I know I was.

Yeah, and my son, my children almost my older children
almost forty years old, and so we could do it.
But you know, most of the time the system gives
the mother of the child, so that takes away opportun
tu the off the top, you know. But yeah, a
lot of us could be good dads.

Yeah, there's a lot of good dads out there, a
whole lot of them. Yeah. H and for you coming in,

to myself.

And I didn't know how to you know, I ain't

to deliver with his dad, and I remember one time
me and his dad were having a conversation and he

was telling me that I should have How did he
say it? He said, this is what I do, and
this is what I do, and this is what I do.
And I was never the kind of you know, a
person that just spoke out a lot, you know, because
I'm one of those passive aggressive kind of people. W
d I a hold on for me? Hold on, caller,

I'm coming to you. I was kind of a passive
aggressive kind of person, so I never but but he
said he was talking to me and basically saying all
these great things about being a dad, you know, and
I remember the years that he was wasn't there at all,
you know what I'm saying. And I'm not saying that
to make him look bad, because he's a good father,

you know what I'm saying. He stepped up to the plate.
But I remember telling him when he was, you know,
making trying to make me feel bad, say you don't,
you're those are things that you were supposed to do,
you know. So I mean that, yeah, And I was
always the person who was there even when you didn't

really want to be there, when you were absent, hold
on caller. You know, I'm like I was, so, you know,
I appreciate him and the contributions he made to our
son's life, but I just felt at the time, you know,
that wasn't the right time to kind of But being parents,
(01:00:49):
I think is you have a lot of teachable moments
because nobody gives you a book. There's no playbook on
how to parent, and there's no playbook on how to
parents certain kids. You know, you just have kids and
they turn out to be a certain way and You're like, Okay,
who do you.

Think got the harder part of the job, You raising
the kid in its early age or your ex husband.
Speaker 1 (01:01:17):
He wasn't my husband. I'm married and I'm not trying
to be bragging about it or nothing like that, because
we should have been married popping out kids like that,
But I did so. I think I and my son
might not like it for me to say this, but
I think.

I think he had the hearder job because he had to.

me his senior year because his dad had moved out
of the district and all that.
