Mister Terry Spicer. Good morning, Terry, how are you? Brother?
Good morning, my Queen, Beverly Elaine Johnson. How are you
feeling today's song? I'm doing fabulous today?

Speaker 6 (05:55):
Brother?

Speaker 4 (05:56):
How are you doing fine? Pushing pull up in here?
I like that song. I do like this. I was
trying to figure out who the artist was and then
you said his name while it was playing. But Rufus Thowmas, Yeah,
I love it. That's gonna be my track driving back
to work and push and pool. I looked it up
to Miss Bell. You know, of course you know this,
but I just looked it up and it was officially

(06:19):
Can I read this?

Speaker 5 (06:19):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (06:20):
June is Black Music Month, also officially known as African
American Music Appreciation Month, a celebration of generations long legacy
and foundation of American music created by black artists. It
highlights genres like gospel, jazz, R and B, rock and roll,
and hip hop. Originally proposed by radio DJ Ed Wright,

(06:44):
radio personality dy Anna Williams, and producer Kenny Gamble, the
observance was officially declared by President Jimmy Carter in nineteen
seventy nine. Carter held the first ever celebration on the
White House lawn on June seventh, nineteen seventy nine. Why

(07:07):
ain't that something as bad? That's all new to me.
It's new to you till maybe I as a youngster,
I maybe heard about it, went in one ear out
the other. But wow, wow, I love it. I love
it as bed good good you know. And speaking.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Terry of black music, we were talking just I think
it was this yeah Monday, I had Ron heard on
and we were talking music and black music, and we
lost some people. Well, we lost a person we were
talking about with. David called and said Peebo Bryson had
had a stroke. Now we find out he has died

(07:50):
from that. Pbo Bryce.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Yes, yeah, oh my goodness, fabulous singing. Yes, Grammy Award winner.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
But we also mentioned and you're probably too young. I'm
gonna put a little snippet, y'all do that. Can I
do this?

Speaker 7 (08:04):
Can I do this?

Speaker 8 (08:04):
Terry?

Speaker 4 (08:06):
Y'all?

Speaker 3 (08:07):
I teach Terry a lot of history. So and and
we were talking about people and Lord, condolences to the
family of Peobo Brison because he had just had a
stroke over the weekend. Now he's gone, folks leaving here.
But we also mentioned this name, and I don't know
if people remember him. And I'm gonna ask you, do
you you know the name of Foster Silvers.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
I've heard the name.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
You've heard the name. Foster Silvers was American singer and songwriter.
He would sing with his group, his brothers and sisters,
the Silvers. But Foster was, y'all famous for this song, Terry,
And I want to see if you remember this, y'all,
Foster Silvers.

Speaker 6 (08:51):
I know.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
You don't know that.

Speaker 4 (09:01):
I know, Oh, you're too young to know that. I
know that music.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
You know the rap y that's mister Foster Silvers. And
Foster died on May thirtieth of this year. Wow yeah, yeah, wow.
So that that was he sung with his brothers and sisters,
and that came they came out when the Jackson Fabruary
of all these family groups were coming, but Foster that
was his little solo hit, but he had other song

(09:33):
hits with with his sisters and brothers.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
That's awesome, mister me.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
And I love that little song and I'm thinking about
oh Lord, but I did that to say, you know,
we're losing our greates and this is whack music.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
Month, and I'm thinking Peebow and then Falter and the Silvers.

Speaker 3 (09:53):
They started in seventy five and they went on to
nineteen eighty five, so he was with his siblings. But
I always liked that little song Misdemeanor. So so Terry,
you have to look that up.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
And I am you know, I am a google everything
I'm thinking about.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
Terry. You probably wasn't even around when that song came out.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
I was born in seventy four, so I just gotten here. Okay.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
So they started their group in seventy five. Oh okay,
the Silvers, Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, well you have to
play the little miss Demeanor. That was that he he
he was a yeah with his brothers, the Silvers. Yeah,
because they had a song their big biggest hit was

(10:41):
Boogie Fever.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
Now You'm here you are? They were they native of Memphis. No,
look up the Silvers. Looking it up?

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Okay, look up the Silvers. Yeah, I see it, you
see it. I got it right here, you got it
right there.

Speaker 4 (10:56):
The Silvers were an American R and B family vocal
group from Watts. No one of that's you know. I
think that the n w A the rap group. That's
where I know that beat from. I think the Simple
that beat probably did they? Probably they probably, That's how
I know the beat for sure. Yeah. They recorded the
singles Fools Paradise, Yes, Bookie Fevers Yes, and Hotline during

(11:20):
the seventies.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yes it was hot too those songs are You Just
a Baby in the seventh just got here. I was
in college in the seventies, but but I just wanted
to say condolences to those families because I thought, Lord,
people's just he's gone. And now well Foster Simplers is gone. Yeah,
and we losing somebody else.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
I was reading. But I'll get it. But it is
Black Music Month. You all celebrate black music.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
If you don't have it, get you some black music, yeah,
or listen all month long.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Yeah, tune in and just stay tuned into w d A.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Yeah, you got it because we played black music. You right, brother,
thank you, Terry. Hey, we played we played the best.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Songs and no rep what other what other station? What
is your who's your competition? Is there anybody in the country. No,
you know, we don't have any competition. We're the first
and we're gonna still be the you're knocking him at
the box? Hey, hey, all right, we gotta do some
catching up before we talk. Okay. I know you always
always said I was waiting for that.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I was waiting, but I had to get the black
music because I wanted to do that and say our condolences.
Just man, this family of pebow Bryceon, Oh my goodness,
can I say that just a squirrel?

Speaker 4 (12:36):
I was thinking.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Terry when people first came out, because when he started
he started singing, didn't get a label, that on a label,
but he was doing what they called the chitling circuit.
So he did a lot of places in the South.
And I mentioned this to.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Ron heard on Monday that one of our legends of
musical legend and who was here?

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Jeane bow Legs. Miller was one of the promoters of Peebow,
and I think he got Pebow to sing at the
Paradise Club back in the day. And I remember seeing people,
but I was so remember seeing Peebow at the radio conventions.
And one of the conventions was a hot was the
Jack the Rapper Convention in Atlanta. So during the conventions,

(13:27):
labels record labels would spotlight their artists and have you know,
we perform and you could see all that. So this
particular luncheon, I think he was on Capitola and the
luncheon and they always have artists. Well, the MC for

(13:48):
that day was E. Rodney Jones. If you don't know
that name, I know you'll look it up. E Rodney
Jones was a radio personality in Chicago. I mean he
was bad. E Rodney Jones, Terry.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
I got to pull it up. E Rodney Jones. Why
was he even so bad? He was a bad disc jockey.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I mean not bad mad, but he was bad and
people loved him in Chicago. He was an actor too, Yeah,
so E Rodney Jones. I think he worked at w
b O N or I think it was wb O
in in Chicago. You all listening in the Chicago era.
But anyway, they people who back in the day know

(14:28):
E Rodney Jones. Look at Terry Study.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
I know he's born in twenty eight. He died in
two thousand and four. E Rodney Jones.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
Well, E Rodney this day was the MC for the luncheon.
I think Capiteltool was sponsoring it. So we knew that
p Bow Brightson was going to be the featured artist.
And we're sitting there waiting we eat lunch, and and
so E Rodney was keep on coming up, trying to,
you know, keep the crowd going. And E Rodney said,

(15:00):
if Peebow don't hurry up and come out, he gonna
be pole pee and no crowd.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Just crazy white white bust'm out. He was taking too long.
It was taking too long to come on. It was
taking too long. And so E rogers, if he don't
hurry up and come out, he gonna be pole pee.
I will never forget that. And then when when people
came up, poor Pee Bow.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
But he kept but he sung his heart out though,
and I think about that, Gosh, my memory I'm thinking
about that. I'm glad my memory is still there. But
that was years ago, and I and I and that's
the story that I remember of Pee Bow Brites. And
when I think about I always think about e Rodney Jones.
If you don't hurry up and come out, he's gonna
be pole Pete. Did he come on right behind that?

(15:51):
Did he come right and they were rushing him all out?
What was going on with Peobo? So?

Speaker 4 (15:56):
But anyway, but it was a good time. We always
had a good time. That's good. You are hilarious. Thank
you for letting me share that, because I think a
moment of June is black music. Yes, yes, you got
June teen people. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, we got
to dig in before we got I want to know. Okay,
I hadn't talked to you in a minute. I saw

(16:16):
you a couple a couple of weeks ago. But you
went on a trip. Have you already talked about your trip?

Speaker 9 (16:20):
Well?

Speaker 4 (16:20):
I kind of mentioned it.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
But for my birthday, Terry, for my birthday, I went
to Nassau, Bahamas.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Yes, I did. For my birth and.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Terry, those folks at Nassau, the Bahamians, they laid it
out for me.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Oh wow. And it was it was a trip that
it was kind of a going back in time for me.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
And I'll tell you this when I was in When
I was sixteen, I was getting ready to graduate high school.
So my best friend and I our school did did
spring trips and so my best friend said, we want
to go to Nasaarsa. So I was telling my mother
and I says, okay, she paid for me. She says,

(17:08):
this is your graduation present. So the first time I
landed in Nassau, Bahamas, I was sixteen years wow old wow.
And during that time, Terry, I can remember the ship
we sailed to Nassau. The name of the ship was
the SES Bahamas Star. Now you know they don't have

(17:29):
that around.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
It was called the S S. Bahama Star. It's no
longer around.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
But the ship sailed to Nassau and we would we
docked and so for the five days that we're there,
we would get on and off the ship. So we
just stayed, you know, lived up so and we go
into the town and I was thinking, I said, you
know what, I want to go back to naw I
had been to Nassau before, you know, Cruiser was out there,
but just staying on on the island.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I had never done that. Besides being sixteen, in all
the ship, who's your chaperone? Sixteen. You was just a
little pup out there.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Well, we had I know, we had some chaperone and
the other students because they was wild brother whoa. But yeah,
we did have chaperones from the school. Yeah, we had chaperones.
But we stayed at the Riu resort. It was fabulous,
all inclusive resort.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
So I stayed on. And when I was thinking back
and my travel age, she's so brilliant. We called the theme.
It was called from teen to Queen. Thing's a queen.
Look at that. From team to Queen.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
Bev Johnson's Grown Folks.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
You got to shay it on now.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
That Yeah, So that that's what I did for my birthday.

Speaker 4 (18:46):
Nasa and Terry.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Then when we got off the plane, they had a
big sign BEV Johnson's Grown Folks. When we got to
the hotel, they had a big sign welcome BEB Johnson's
Grown Folks. And then I got into my room, Terry
they had me a birthday cake and champagne.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
They had food, they had on the wall. They had
a big side said happy birthday. Wow, that's awesome as
bed And when.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
I was going right ready, that's the birthday, girl, that's
the birthday girl. And when we had our cocktail party,
we had a seventies cocktail party because I went there
and that's right, eighteen seventies, right, and.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
People were saying a lot of them t shirts and
people were taking pictures. But we had a good time.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Have Johnson's grown, folks, I love it bad. Yeah, So
that's how we celebrate our life. So that's what I
was doing Deer for my birthday.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
That's awesome. It's bad Nasa aw bahamas, that's all bahamas.
I'm gonna have to make myself a visit down there. Yeah,
you would, you would.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
And then when I was there sitting and thinking, I said,
it has changed from when I was sixteen to how
old I am now?

Speaker 4 (19:49):
Was the obvious change?

Speaker 3 (19:51):
New buildings, you know, oh yeah, because back in back
in seven, you know, it was it was still kind
of rule.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
And I was thinking about I was telling my travel
agent's and.

Speaker 3 (20:00):
I remember that bridge and I remember us walking over
that bridge, and that bridge is still there.

Speaker 4 (20:06):
But you know, a lot of things.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
It's it's modern now because they have Nassaus know now
for the Atlantics Hotel and the big casino, so they
got but I was just you know, kind of reminiscing
when I was a kid.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
That's right. Something else changed to while you were there?
What else change that phone?

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Your cherry? You know, I'm sick, and it did change
down there because it started acting up.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
That's what Cherry said.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Yeah, she Cherry mcken Yeah, that's that's my uh PA,
my personal assistant.

Speaker 4 (20:43):
Yeah, Jerry mckew is my pa. And yeah, it was
in a Porsche and Cheerry, I love Cheery and cheer.
We was trying to get it to charge. They wouldn't do.
Bell lost for those who won, and she lost the
BlackBerry as far as it started to. My beloved start
malfunctioning on her. And Bell now has a phone. It's
cooler than my phone. She has a flip phone, an Android,

(21:04):
beautiful phone. You can stepped up into the twenty second century.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
I know, man, I'm trying to get you. I'm I'm
used to my BlackBerry. I want my little keyboard and
all that. I want my black Man. But anyway, that
that that's what changed, Terry, that's what changed.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
But as I say all the time, Terry, everything must change,
That's right. Nothing stays the same. Every one will change.
Either either you gonna change or change gonna make you
one of the two. Exactly, it's gonna happen. So that's
my life, that's my story. Yes, sir, I'm sticking to it.

Speaker 7 (21:44):
Love it.

Speaker 9 (21:44):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
We'll go ahead and dive on them as bell give
your your topics of COMFORTA. That's right, that's why we
take our bath. That's right, that's right.

Speaker 4 (21:51):
Let me let me give my well. Let me first
give a super high salute to all of our folks
who are serving in the military, though those who are active,
none active. We thank you for your service, our freedoms
that we sometimes take for granted. Those freedoms are not free.
There's a cost to be paid, and we thank you
for all who have served and those who will be serving.

(22:16):
Those who have retired, we thank you so much. High
slute to all those in the medical field, doctors, nurses,
everyone in the hospitals. That's another little sector we kind
of take for granted, our health. We thank you for
what you do for us. High salute to all the
police officers, firefighters, all those who serve us every day.

(22:36):
We sincerely thank you. I'll give a few topics here,
then we'll cut to the break here, so I'm gonna
revisit the list, Miss Bev in case some of the
listeners haven't heard, I do have the report for twenty
twenty five the most stolen cars. You want to know
if your car is on that list, stand by. I'm
gonna give you that report again of the most stolen
cars for twenty twenty five. We're gonna talk a little

(22:57):
bit also about challenge credit. It if you or someone
you know has challenged credit they're trying to buy a car,
there's a strategy for that. No one talks about it.
We're gonna go into a little bit of a strategy
for those who want to get themselves a nice car.
And I have a personal story that I can attach
to this. The young ladies that visited me yesterday and

(23:18):
I told them I was gonna call their name out,
the Spencers. We're gonna talk about them and what they
experienced before they came to see me. And she says
to my scores will once hire the little bit challenge
right now, and I'll tell you what we worked out
for her and the strategy that you can use by
listening to her story. One more topic here and they
will let bell cut to the break. I'm gonna also
give you. If you're looking for some great incentives on

(23:40):
brand new vehicles, you stand by. I'm gonna tell you
how you can save some money on a brand new vehicle.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
MS.

You know, I actually didn't. I didn't put the deal together,
but I was able to get your segue to the
right person to get that deal to happen. So I
always tell folks, if you if you're looking for a car,
even if I don't have that car, I'm gonna get
you set up with a dealership and a representative who's
gonna take really good care of you. So thank you,

(28:47):
mister Ivan. I appreciate that update. All right, Miss Bell,
over the breaks, I still want to get that there.
I love history and information, so I know we'll get
back to that. So before I get into my top,
it's Miss Bell. If you know it's it's it's it's
beginning to get warm outside. It's going to start to
get really really hot. And for those who are especially
my single ladies who are not mechanically inclined, you know

(29:11):
there are you can you name the one or two
months that the mechanic shop see cars a lot? What
month would you say, I would say, what month are you?
Are you with the mechanics get a lot of business?
What months of the year would you think I a

(29:33):
mechanic Lie, there you go, miss Bell, June in July,
June and July. Bell, she's smarter than the fifth grade. Right,
June and July. The mechanic shop is going to see
a lot of business because the heat does a number,
a number or two numbers on vehicles, the batteries. You
want to check your batteries. And I tell people, if

(29:54):
you own a Nissan, go buy the Nissan dealership. If
you own a Chrysler, go by the Dodge christ Jeep dealership.
Just pull in the service lane and have them to
top off all your fluids to check your systems, and
they welcome you to come in. And they don't welcome you.
My dealership will even if it is a non general
motors vehicle. You can stop by Sunrise and Bartlet. We

(30:16):
are located on Highway sixty four right at the intersection
of Highway sixty four and Brunswick, or an easier way
to remember it. The Interstate runs right across Highway sixty four.
We're right at that intersection intersection at Highway sixty four
and I forty. We share the same parking lot as

(30:36):
the Walmart and sam So if you know where the
Walmart and Sam's is in Bartlet, we sit right on
the same intersection as those two behemoths. So if you
want to stop by just for us to top off
your fluids to check your systems, we're happy to do
that because it's about to get hot. So here's another
little test I want you to keep in mind. People

(30:57):
sometimes don't pay a lot of attention to her tires
until it pops. Shout out to my friend Hermeta. She
stopped by yesterday. She ran She hit something in the road,
punctured her tire, but thank god, somebody to put a
spar on. She brought a tire back and she did
buy a warrant. It's called tire and wheel protection, So
her tire is going to be replaced and fixed with

(31:19):
no charge because she bought that warranted so tire, the
tire and warranted does come in handy, especially if you're
prone to hit stuff in the road. So miss Hermeta
stopped running over stuff. She got all kinds of little
things she has happening to her tires. But here's a
little thing, a tip. You've probably heard this before, but
let me read this for folks who don't know if
they need to get new tires. Here is what they

(31:40):
call the penny test. You heard of the penny test before,
Miss Bell, No, I have not. The easiest and most
reliable way to check your tire tread is the penny test.
This is what you do, family. You take a penny
and you place that penny into the tread groove with
the Lincoln's head facing down. If part of the Lincoln's

(32:01):
head is covered by the tread, your tires still have
usable tread. If you can see all of Lincoln's head,
your tread is at or below two and thirty seconds
of an inch, and it's time to replace that tire.
So when you get a chance, get yourself a penny
check in see if you need tires. And I know

(32:21):
you know. I try to always be conscious of people
and their budgets. We all have budgets, and not all
of us can afford to go and buy brand new tires.
I get that there's two other options. I tell folks
who are on a tight budget, you can, you can all.
The second option is going to be the one I'm
going to push you to first. But let me give
you the first option. First, you can go to a

(32:42):
used a tire place and you can get a tire
for thirty forty to fifty dollars perhaps versus one hundred
dollars or one hundred and fifty dollars and even more
sometimes depending on what kind of tire you're hunt for.
But that can give you what you need at least
to get through the summer months. But you want to
do a penny test on that used tires. But here's
the second thing you can keep in mind. Walmart. Walmart's

(33:05):
gonna be hard to beat on tire prices. So if
you're on a budget, you can't afford a brand new
dealer tire, try to use car shop tire. And you
want to find a reputable place, a place that's been
open for a while, or I tell a lot of folks,
try Walmart. Walmart is gonna have some pretty good prices.
Can check their online prices. So all right, let's move

(33:26):
on to my next topic here, so Bell you always
get the questions answered correctly. One day, I'm gonna stump you.
I don't know when, but you always give me the
right answer. So before I get into these other topics
that I already name at the beginning of the show,
and for those who are just joining us, we're gonna
be talking about the ten most stolen cars in twenty
twenty five and this comes from an official report. We'll

(33:47):
get to that here shortly, but let me give you
this here, ms BEV. You know, before keyfobs were the thing,
the way someone would steal your car is to you know,
some kind of way get inside that the door and
pull that lock up to get inside your car, or
break the windows and get in and hot wire the
car and drive off. But now we have new technology

(34:08):
the keyfobs. But you know, thieves now have a way
to steal your car and it's called a relay attack.
Have you heard of this performance bell? No, So let
me let me for the for my seniors and folks
who are not really following with what the thieves are
up to these days, let me give you what they're
up to. And I got this. I pulled this from online,

(34:29):
so that can make for sure that I read it
and give you all the correct information. Let's go, let's
get right into it. How a relay attack works. And again, family,
this is how the thieves are stealing cars these days
without breaking windows or causing any damage. Okay, here we go.
According to automotive security insights from platforms like leasing dot

(34:51):
com and CompuStar, a relay attack usually requires two criminals
working in perfect harmony with two distinct devices. Number one
the trigger, A thief stands near the targeted vehicle and
pulls the door handle. This prompts the car to send
out a low frequency radio signal searching for its keyfob.

(35:13):
Number two the interception. Thief a's device captures this signal
and transmit transmit it over a long distance to thief
B who is standing near your home's front door, a window,
or even following you inside of the store. So some
kind of way they're getting near that keyfob to catch

(35:34):
the signal. When that thief A pulls that door handle,
the car is hunting for the keyfob signal. So here's
point three. The boost thief be's device receives the signal,
amplifies it, and forces your keyfob, which may be sitting
on your kitchen counter, to reply the relay. This number

(35:55):
four The relay, this authentic unlocked signal is bounce straight
back to the thief a's device near your car. The
car detects the correct code, disables the anti theft system,
unlocks the doors, and let the thieves push the ignition
button to start the engine. Sounds real simple, musbad. That's

(36:16):
how they're doing it. Now. You may say, well, Tiara,
that sounds kind of scary. How do I protect myself?
I'm glad you asked. This is how you protect yourself.
You can easily prevent relay attacks by blocking the radio
signals or disabling the key. This functionality entirely. Check this out.
Use what they call a Faraday pouch and basically that's

(36:39):
a signal blocking pouch. Store your keys in a signal
blocking pouch or Faraday box. These containers are lined with
conductive material that creates a Faraday cage, entirely blocking the
keys radio waves from escaping. Turn off or number two
turn off the fob signal. Many manners factures allow you

(37:01):
to temporarily disable the proximity signal. For instance, according to
user advice on Reddit's Mercedes Benz community, double clicking the
lock button on certain keyfobs turn off the wireless communication
until a button is pressed. Again, make sure I give
you all the information here. So we know we're going
into summertimes and you know thieves get bored and they

(37:23):
start just doing random stuff here, So do not leave
your keys near the front door, windows or exterior walls.
Move them deeper into the house to make it much
harder for a thief's antenna to reach the signal. Use
a traditional, highly visible stirring wheel lock on your car.

(37:44):
Of course, even if a thief successfully spoofs your key signal,
they cannot bypass a heavy physical barrier without time consuming
twos and my last item here after market immobilizers, devices
like the Ghost immobilizer require you to press a specific
sequence of factory buttons, like on the stirring wheel or

(38:05):
dash before the car will start, rendering the relayed key
signal useless on its own. So family, I know at
least one person whose vehicle was stolen from his driveway
and both his keys were in the house, and the
police came to him and advised him this is how
they're stealing cars now. So the devices that they're using,

(38:28):
they're buying these devices from the black market, the gray market,
and that's how they're doing it now. So just to
protect yourself, to get your information, to keep a thief
from getting your car, protect yourself with a Farad that's
probably gonna be the simplest thing. Faraday pouches you most
likely the easiest way is probably go online, go to
Amazon dot com and get yourself a simple Faraday pouch.

(38:50):
That way you can protect someone from trying to hijack
your signal misbel of anything. Before I move forward here, okay,
let's move forward here. I'm gonna save you some money here.
I'm trying to think, should I go ahead? Let me
go ahead and give you the story.

Speaker 6 (39:04):
So let me do that.

Speaker 4 (39:05):
This is going to tie into the money savings. So
my new friends, Miss Carla Spencer and Miss Deville Spencer,
they gave me permission to shout their names out. I
hope that they're tuned in. They came by the dealership
on it yesterday and Miss Deville, God bless her. She's
looking for a new vehicle.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
She visited at least two dealerships before she came to
see me. And one of the things that I do,
Miss Bev, when people visit with me, I listen carefully
to what they're wanting to do.

Speaker 4 (39:39):
And I listen to if someone has been to another
dealership and they're at my store. I love that because
it allows me to dissect what the other dealership did
or did not do, which will allow me to work
on giving you a proper approval. So she came by
and said, the two dealers, at least two dealers. It
may have been three, but at least two dealerships she

(39:59):
went to. They were on pre owned cars, use cars,
and she says, in both situations they were asking for
a large money down payment five six thousand dollars, I
think some huge number. So with that information, and this
is what I want you to listen to because a

(40:20):
lot of times when I bring to someone's attention, let's
look at a brand new vehicle. Folks who have not
purchased a brand new vehicle, that gives them a little
bit of a I don't't do that. That's gonna be
too much money. And I was a saying way before
I got into the business. You think of new car,
you think it's gonna be too much money. But friends,
you can use this the incentives to your advantage. So
let me get to the point here. So miss Spencer,

(40:42):
I said, look, I'm hearing your story. It sounds to
me like they didn't try to get you on a
new vehicle with incentives. And this is what's gonna tie
into some money savings right now June, the month of June.
Right now, the vehicle that's priced right about twenty five
thirty thousand dollars, that's kind of the spot the price

(41:03):
rains that most people are looking for because everyone missball Eat,
to this day, everyone everyone wants a two fifty three
hundred dollars payment. Everybody, everybody wants to that that payment
is is. Believe me, you can find out two fifty
three hundred oar payment, but it's gonna be a car
with a bunch of miles on it. New cars that

(41:23):
two point fifty three hundred is gonna be hard pressed
to get. The new three hundred dollars payment is really
more like four to fifty five hundred dollars. A lot
of people are sticker shocked when they come in and
they find this information. Now now again, you want to
go and find a car where your payment is three
hundred dollars, you will find that car, but it's gonna
have a lot of miles and at least a problem,
maybe two or more issues with it. So getting back

(41:47):
to the point right now, the the Buick Encore GX,
Google it or go straight to buick dot com and
look it up. The Buick Encore GX right now this month,
it has twenty two fifty two thousand, two hundred and
fifty dollars that I told Miss Spencer that's like down

(42:07):
payment for you. So we found two thousand, two hundred
and fifty dollars for her. The way that you qualify
they call this a conquest. What General Molas means by
that if you own or someone in your our household
owns and you or the member of your house, they
don't have to trade it. It just needs to be
rested at the same address where you live. It needs

(42:30):
to be a twenty twelve or newer none GM vehicle,
which means it cannot be a Cadillac, GMC, Buick or Chevrolet.
If it's a twenty twelve or newer none GM vehicle,
then you automatically qualify for two thousand, two hundred and

(42:51):
fifty dollars. So I asked the recolor she wanted. She
wanted black. We went out and found the exact vehicle
that she wanted. And guess what family she is approved?
Her deal was approved, and the down payment went from
four or five thousand dollars whatever that big number was,
to just over one thousand dollars down on a brand

(43:13):
new car. Another thing I want you to keep in
mind too, and again, if you're gonna look for a
brand new car with no incentives, then yeah, you're gonna
you're gonna pay MSRP likely especially if it's if it
just came out, it's a hot commodity. The dealer is
not interested in discounted then yet you're gonna pay money
for But you have to look. When you're looking for
a new car and you're looking for a deal, you

(43:33):
look for a new car that the manufacturer is off
offering incentives. Incentives can be what I just pointed out Conquest.
It could be bonus cash, it can be a low
ap APR. A matter of fact, since i'm on that, uh,
if you're looking for APR, I'm gonna talk about the
GMC Sierra just just a second from my truck driver,

(43:54):
so stand by. But my friend, miss Spencer, she came
to us earth the story new car I mean more
than they were asking four or five thousand dollars down
We got that down to just to just listen, just
over one thousand dollars on a brand new car. So
congratulations miss Spencer. She hadn't taken delivery just yet, but

(44:14):
she will be very soon.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
Now going to my folks who are looking for a
deal on a truck, a pickup truck right now in June,
with approved credit, you can get zero percent financing for
five years on a GMC fifteen hundred, and it even
allows you first payments are not do into one hundred

(44:38):
and thirty days, So zero percent financing for five years,
first payment do at one hundred and thirty days.

Speaker 4 (44:45):
If you're interested in a pickup truck that deal, you
give me a call and to give my number out
now and I'll give it out again later in the show.
If you're driving my telephone number nine zero one six
seven to two, four to four. I like to tell
people this because I want them to know that I'm
I'm no pressure. The dealership pays me a salary if

(45:07):
you buy or don't buy, my check is the same.
But when you come by, my objective is to make
for sure that I'm finding you the best deal available.
So again, no matter what car you're looking for. If
you're looking for a Lincoln, if you're looking for a Cadillac,
you're looking for a Mercedes, go to the manufacturer's website,
see what incentives that they have on their new vehicle,

(45:28):
and you'll probably find yourself a deal because not all
salespeople follow or track the incentives. You may pull up
to a lot, you may be looking at a new car,
and a salesperson may or may not know what those
incentives are, and you'll just you'll have that in your
mind in case they fail to mention the misbe have
anything before I move forward here.

Speaker 3 (45:45):
Yes, sir, let's go to our phone lines to talk
with you. Good morning caller.

Speaker 6 (45:51):
Hi, good morning. How are you all doing?

Speaker 4 (45:56):
Hi tries to change her voice.

Speaker 6 (46:02):
She said, HEYNI how you doing?

Speaker 4 (46:06):
Bird legs?

Speaker 6 (46:07):
Doing great?

Speaker 4 (46:09):
What you funny? I can you the life of the
party because you always coming with.

Speaker 6 (46:16):
Well, one thing with you and to things research and
if I go, I'm gonna have me some funs. I
love it.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
I love it.

Speaker 6 (46:23):
But listen, listen, babyface, Terry. I called about that incentive. Now,
if you catch somebody stealing something off your personal profity.
What you got the intensive to take them out?

Speaker 4 (46:32):
Now, don't you in the state of Tennessee. I don't
know that you can do that in Tennessee, can you
miss Bell. I think they're working on that really.

Speaker 6 (46:40):
Yeah, I thought the Castle law came in place in April.

Speaker 4 (46:43):
I'm about to look it at.

Speaker 6 (46:44):
You don't do as long as you don't get him
in the back. If you get them in the front,
you're good. But if you get him in the back,
that means they're no longer a threat. But I was
just checking on that intensive but.

Speaker 3 (46:55):
Law.

Speaker 4 (46:56):
I'm about to look it up now.

Speaker 6 (46:58):
Yeah, I'm serious. I believe it came into place in April.
That you know, long as you know, if they like
I said a minute ago, if they walking away or
running away, you can't get them. But if you catch
them like somebody over in frase, you know they would
bien down, look like a bear and picked up somebody's
lawn more.

Speaker 4 (47:14):
Okay, limit, Now this is online, so let me I
don't know what this is coming. It says under a
new law, but the strict legal limits under Tennessee House
Bill eighteen oh two past April of twenty twenty six
and effective July twenty twenty sixth Tennessee expanded its property
defense statues that allow property owners to use lethal force

(47:37):
to protect their property property under highly specific circumstances.

Speaker 8 (47:42):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (47:44):
Using deadly force is severe legal risk. The exact rules
dictate when it is legally protected and when it can
lead to murder or assault charges. Wow. Oh ok well,
thank you sister.

Speaker 6 (48:00):
They're gonna cut out all this skin A good car
with you.

Speaker 4 (48:04):
You too, very legs. I know you are very legs.
Going to keep us informed with that. I love it.
W D I a hike caller.

Speaker 8 (48:12):
Good morning, Ja, Bev and your guests.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
Good morning.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
How are you?

Speaker 8 (48:17):
I'm wonderful. I'm wonderful. I have a question.

Speaker 4 (48:20):
Let's do it.

Speaker 8 (48:21):
I am looking for a twenty twenty one LESSUS NX
three hundred with less than sixty thousand miles on. Okay,
So I've been going to different dealerships. Of course. I
see something that have more, I see something to have less.
I am trying to I'm skeptic because I've never bought

(48:43):
a Youthed car before, and I don't want to get
someone else's problem. Yeah, So give me some key things
that I need to be looking for.

Speaker 4 (48:52):
Well, the first thing I'm going to suggest is if
you for how what you're describing you, you would probably
want to get a certified pre only that's going to
keep a lot of your headache at Bay. And I'm
trying to pull this car right now as we speak,
as a.

Speaker 8 (49:06):
Matter of fact, So define certified me because I'm recalling
some dealerships that I've went to. So what does certify
actually mean?

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Okay, thank you, that's a great question. I'm glad that
you asked that. Now, the Lexus dealership, they are the
only ones who can give it an official certification. You
have dealers like CarMax, they will I don't know if
they call it certification. They'll put their own little warranty
on there. But it's not a backed certified warranty from

(49:34):
the manufacturer. You have to go to the Lexus store
to get that. But let me let me answer your question,
and so I don't mess up Lexus warranty because I
don't have the warranty in front of me. Let me
let me speak about a General Motor certified car because
I know that very well. So if you were to
come and look for a GMC, Yukon, a certified GMC Yukon,

(49:54):
that warranty on that Yukon. Give you some context, a
brand new Yukon warranty from the factory, the warrant is
going to be five years sixty thousand miles for the
powertrain warranty. When you go to get one certified, the
manufacturers they put more warranty on it to help keep
that value up, the value in the market, So that
warranty will move from a general motors car, the warrant

(50:17):
moves from a five year sixty thousand mile warranty to
a six year one hundred thousand mile warranty, and they
again they do that to keep that value high. So
as a matter of fact, when you when you go
to buy a certified vehicle, the banks will even allow
you to get better rates for that certified car, almost

(50:38):
close to a new car inches rate. So based on
what I'm hearing from you, I would be comfortable for
you to perhaps even make a cunt. And if you
don't have one, I can give you one off the air. Here,
I can give you a contact to Alexis representative. If
they don't have it, yeah, they can. They can find
one for you and maybe bring one in from the

(50:59):
from the auction and certified for you to give you
that peace of mind. Now I ask a question this
particular your model. Why that your model? You just like
that body style?

Speaker 8 (51:09):
Well, I like that body style and I also like
that price point. So I'm trying to stay under thirty five.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
Okay? And so are you financial?

Speaker 8 (51:19):
One?

Speaker 4 (51:19):
You financial through your credit union, through my bank.

Speaker 8 (51:24):
I've already been I have I already been pre approved.
It's just I'm concerned because I don't want to get
anybody else troubles. Like I said, I've always you know,
purchased new cars, so I'm going to hold different arena.
But I have looked at some when a lot of
them say no warranty. And so my next question is
if it saying no warranty, is there a way that
I can purchase and extended warranty to make sure that

(51:46):
I'm covered?

Speaker 4 (51:47):
Yes, you can. Matter of fact, did you give an
what's your radio name?

Speaker 8 (51:51):
Just my real name is Linda.

Speaker 4 (51:56):
Since you brought that, let me let me share with you,
miss Linda, something about Okay, So I would prefer to
go with a pre owned certified car, but you can
buy any car and add warranted to it. But let
me give you something that recently happened to me and
one of my customers. So the young lady she challenged credit.
I didn't get her. I didn't give permission to give

(52:17):
the story, so I'll leave her name out. But she
came by to buy a car and she had twenty
five hundred dollars to put down. Challenge credit. Could not
get a car. I found a twenty twelve gmc terrain.
It only had it was little miles was like forty.
It was like it was unbelievable how the miles were.
But I said, look this car you can get approved on.

(52:39):
I said, but I want you to get a warranty,
and she did. She bought the warranted to protect her investment.
About a month later, This is a couple of weeks.
About a month later, just two weeks ago, she came
to visit me. The check engine light was on and
I says, no worry, you bought warranted. We're gonna put

(52:59):
it back in the shop and we'll get everything handled
for you. Took it back to the shop, she went
back off to work, and I come to find out
after they took the engine heads off. Whatever they're doing
back there. It was the engine was gunked up with oil.
It looks like whoever the previous owner never changed the
oil or changed the oil irregularly. So and he says, says, Terry,

(53:22):
when we call this in and they bring the inspector out,
they're going to deny the claim because it's a pre
existing issue. And I was like, well, my goodness, this
young lady gave me all her money for this car.
Let me get to the point, so I told her
about it. I says, looked, there's a good chance that
they you know this, this this claim is going to
be denied. Long story short, I'm giving you all the

(53:42):
different information to say it's a good idea when you
get these This is the first time in my over
a decade of business, the first time that this has
happened to me that I've seen this. Long story short,
I did. I talked the dealership into just paying up
replacing that on our cost. And my argument was, she's
a single lady with a child. She gave me all

(54:05):
her money to get that car fixed. She didn't know,
we didn't know it was a pre existing issue. And
as a matter of fact, her dad I met a
talk with her dad, really cool guy. He was thinking
that the dealership that we knew that it had the
gunk in. I said, no, sir, we didn't. We get
the cars in. We changed the oil. The only way
to see all that gunk built in there, you had

(54:26):
to take the heads off to see that. Long story short,
Miss Lenda will give you all this information. When you're
going to buy these cars and they don't have it,
they're not. If they're certified, then you you're good because
if it's certified and the gunk is in there, they're
gonna fix it, no problems. It's no conversation to have
with you. Sometimes if you buy extended warranty like that
instant that has never happened to me and missus Linda.

(54:48):
But and I like to be straightforward with people. I says,
you know what you know, I guess going down in
the future because I pulled the car fax for man,
it looked like the car was being taken care of,
but it wasn't. Anyway, I'm just giving you the information
to say sometimes there are are anomalies out there that
will bite you, and you got to have a good person,

(55:09):
a good salesperson, someone like myself who's gonna stand up
for you and make the right thing, the right thing happen. So,
Miss Linda, I have a representative, a guy that I
just started talking with over at the Lexus store. I
have not gotten enough reviews to know if he's a
good guy or not, and I'm sure that he is,

(55:29):
but I like to get star reviews before I start
saying people's name on air. When you get when we
hang up, if you can text me, I'm gonna say
my number in a minute. If you can text me
your your name, I'm gonna send you his telephone number
and you can call and I probably need to call.
Matter of fact, let me do that. Text me your name.

Speaker 3 (55:49):
I'm gonna make a call to him so he knows
that I'm paying attention, and we're gonna try to see
if we can help you find a before we go,
just buy yourself a use Lexus, see if we can
get you one that's certified. That way you have a
peace of mind. You're gonna get probably a better interest
rate with a certified vehicle. But text me your name.
I'm gonna call over there and talk to him and

(56:10):
make for sure that we're watching your deal.

Speaker 4 (56:12):
Miss Lenna, Thank you.

Speaker 8 (56:13):
So much for calling with those breaks, and thank you
for putting people on on air that can be so
useful for your callers. Thank you well.

Speaker 3 (56:22):
Thank you, Linda, and make sure you call Terry and
even Terry can can help you, Linda get that car
because because I was looking for a particular call, he
was and Terry found it for me, and they got
it for me.

Speaker 4 (56:37):
That's right, and it's a it's a bad mamma.

Speaker 8 (56:39):
Jim oh good, Terry. Make sure you put your number
out there so I can call you.

Speaker 4 (56:45):
As soon as we hang it soon as you right,
Thank you, Okay.

Speaker 6 (56:48):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (56:50):
My telephone number and I'll give it out again throughout
the show.

Speaker 9 (56:53):
Here.

Speaker 4 (56:53):
My telephone number is nine zero one six seven to two,
four to four to to. I have a couple of phones.
That's my radio phone. So when that phone rings, where
I see a text, I know it's about business. A
quick story about miss Bell's car too. Bell, she says shrewd,
and she don't even try to be shrewd. So when
when we went out hunting for missus Bell's convertible she

(57:15):
wanted to buy her car, I think it was in
November October November, right, And because that vehicle was not
being manor the Buick Cascatta, it's not being manufactured anymore.
The only option that we had to get that car
because we rarely rarely get one to trade in. We
had to go to the auction to find Veb's car.
So I found several Buick Cascatas, but uh, but the

(57:40):
only one that the only one that Belv wanted was
the red one because the Southern Heritage Classic in twenty
sixteen twenty seeventeen seventy seventeen Bell. We gave her a Cascotta,
a red conscotto no time, that's right, and she says,
I want that car. I want to rid. So we
found one of here's my point of giving.

Speaker 3 (57:58):
Giving me this terry found a red one, a white and.

Speaker 4 (58:04):
Red, white and blue. I want that rib And so
when we on the online auction, you have to bid
for cars. And because it was a convertible, it was
in November, it was getting cold, so people weren't really
hunting for convertibles. We were the only bidder, so we weren't.
We were not fighting when anybody else to drive the

(58:25):
coll stup. So Bev won in that instance. Now, had
she been trying to buy that car in the spring.
It might have been a different story. We could have
been bidding with someone and Bev would have been paying
more money. But she had no other bidder, so we
got her really good deal. One owner garage kept. Yes, sir,
and it's a nice car. It's a beautiful car. Then
let me take it for the weekend. Yeah, okay, right right,

(58:47):
hold a w D I a hike caller.

Speaker 9 (58:52):
Hello, all exedition.

Speaker 3 (58:54):
I'm doing fabulous today, Carl. How are you, Carl?

Speaker 9 (58:59):
Yes, I'm calling for this reason buried me for a moment, Harry,
you ought to be ashamed of yourself of telling the truth.
He is why, he is why. If you may recall
the last time I talked to you, I say, I
got this mail from a dealer and I'm really to

(59:20):
come in. They'll stretch off and see what you can
wind up. Well, while I went there, I didn't match,
So I said, okay, But he said, before you go,
let me show you some of the cars we got
on the lot.

Speaker 4 (59:35):
That's marketing. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (59:37):
Well, but you told me that those certified cars would
probably be the cleanest shininess smellings new cars mailed that
you've ever smell in your life. And guess what they were.
I mean, they would shining to the hill, I say,
in at twenty seventeen, I could have sworn I was

(59:58):
there twenty twenty five. Hmmm, So I want to thank
you for telling the truth. You told me what was
going to help. Yeah, they were want to stretch it off.
If I met, give me a deal. If not, well
I'm sorry you don't mask, but let me help you
out here.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
You know.

Speaker 9 (01:00:15):
And they were doing their best to sell me a.

Speaker 4 (01:00:17):
When people get things in their emails and notifications in
the mail, you know, because I have my seniors, they'll
call me and say, hey, I just got this. Matter
of fact, I'm sure she want my Miss Sharon Green,
she called me yesterday and say I got a letter
in the mail saying that they were interested in buying
my car. I said to Miss Sharing, you just bought it.
I says, unfortunately, your product you probably got on the
mailing list. You know, you just bought the car. But

(01:00:38):
most of that stuff is marketing that you get in
the mail. They want you to come in for one
reason or another, and the end goal is to get
you to buy a car. That's what they're trying to
get you to do. So, Carl, you a smart you're
a shrewd guy. Did you buy it that they get you.

Speaker 9 (01:00:51):
To buy it?

Speaker 7 (01:00:52):
Oh?

Speaker 9 (01:00:53):
No, I couldn't make that. I couldn't make take it
was too hot.

Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Oh I got I'm share.

Speaker 9 (01:00:58):
I don't mind share this few what what was twenty
seven twenty seventeen seventh faith okay? And they won twenty
two thousand for it?

Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (01:01:12):
And I think it had like one hundred maybe one
hundred thousand miles on it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:18):
That it was certified that that one. It doesn't sound
like that one certified. The mouse need to be unless
they did something different, needs to be under one hundred thousand.

Speaker 9 (01:01:29):
A hundred. Let's say, wait a minute. Everything I saw
so many?

Speaker 4 (01:01:35):
Yeah, yeah most of the time.

Speaker 9 (01:01:39):
Yeah, what was like eighty okay?

Speaker 4 (01:01:41):
With eighty okay? Okay?

Speaker 9 (01:01:43):
Yeah, well here, but try I want you to know
it was. It was a nice car. Yeah, I was
almost I've almost caught, but I'll come bit another time.
I had to go because they said to me, because
I said, what the heck? I might get lucky.

Speaker 4 (01:01:58):
Hey, Colin, the reasons for you a certified pre owned
abbreviation CPO vehicles If you're looking to buy a reliable
used car. CPO certified pre owned programs come with certified
I'm sorry, come with verified mileage limits, manufactured back warranties,
and pass rigorous multi point inspections. Most major automakers mandate

(01:02:22):
that to earn a certified badge, cars must have under
sixty to eighty thousand miles and a clean mistery report.
So that's why I'm just telling miss Linda, if you
want a car, the card is going to if it's
not brand new, and even brand new cars, believe it
or not, call they every once in a while they'll
have a issue, believe it or not. But if you
want to buy a pre owned vehicle and you want

(01:02:43):
to make give yourself the best protection, get one pre
owned certified, because if it's not pre owned certified, you
might steal the story I just gave. You can buy
yourself a warranty, but my god, I had never experienced
someone buying a warranty and then the warranted company could
probably deny it because of pre existing issue. In our text,
our text to their defense, when they inspect it, they

(01:03:05):
don't open, they don't go inside the engine heads. But anyway,
we thank god, we got it. Solved, and anyway I'm
going I'm beating that dead horse again. But call glad
that you were able to get out there and take
a look. If you're in the market for a vehicle, car,
you definitely visit with me and I can make for
sure that you get a good deal.

Speaker 9 (01:03:22):
I know you will. But I want, I want you
and miss and all this. You know, when you say things, man,
you tell the truth.

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 9 (01:03:30):
Thank you, sir.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
Yeah, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 8 (01:03:31):
Car.

Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
I try to say things that I know to be truth.
If I don't if it's not, if I don't know
it or can have it confirmed, I won't talk about it.

Speaker 9 (01:03:39):
Yes, yes, sir, thank you.

Speaker 3 (01:03:42):

Yes on my new phone.

Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
I love it. I love it.

Speaker 3 (01:09:19):
Oh okay, So Terry, I have a email for you,
and this email comes from Angelo and Angelo, says Terry.
I have attached the original email. Wanted to say thank
you to you both for just being there. We finally
got away from that Mini Cooper and are happy in
a twenty twenty six Jeep Compass. We had to roll

(01:09:43):
over some negative equity, but planned on refinancing after thirteen
on time payment.

Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
Just wanted to let you all know that the outcome
and Terry really guided me along the way. Thank you, Terry,
and thank you Wdia, warm regards.

Speaker 4 (01:10:03):
Angelo, Angelo, Angelo, let me nice. That is nice. Thank
you so much for sharing that a lot of people
just make their purchase and go about their business. But
thank you for following back or yeah, coming back and
giving us an update. He mentioned it is a heat,
right Angelo. He mentioned thirteen payments, and he's a good
note taker, you know. And a lot of times I'll

(01:10:24):
tell people that have a challenge situation that you may
be getting into a car loan that you're not completely
happy with, and I'll say to them, make thirteen one
time payments. And somebody may say, why you saying thirteen,
because when you make the thirteenth payment, twelve other payments

(01:10:47):
are showing up in your credit file. For sure, the
banks can make decisions based on that. If you made
one time payments for one solid year, they'd be like, yeah,
let's refinance it. Why not, he's gonna pay it. Loans
they were on time, on time payments and a lot
of times if you do the right thing. And I
try to give information out to why I don't overwhelm
a person, but I'll tell someone with those thirteen payments,

(01:11:10):
if you don't have a major credit card, it doesn't
have to be a big credit limit, I said major
credit card. It could be a Macy's card or Jac's
penny card. Open you up a credit line, and for
easy math, let's say they give you one thousand dollars
to be able to charge with this card the same
time that you're paying those twelve thirteen payments, charge no

(01:11:32):
more than thirty percent, in this case, three hundred dollars,
and don't pay it off the next month, pay that
three hundred dollars in the same thirteen payments, and that
shows that you know how to manage your money. Is
what the creditor, the refinanced company, what they're gonna look at.
They're gonna say, Okay, this person not only made twelve

(01:11:54):
payments one time. They're gonna see that you have. They
can see your credit limit. He has one thousand dollars
that he can borrow, but he only borrowed three hundred
dollars and he's been paying that off also in the
same twelve thirteen months. That shows them that you pay
your car on time, and it shows them that you
know how to manage your money. That's the only way

(01:12:15):
they can figure it out is looking at your credit bureaus,
how much money you can borrow, how much you have borrowed,
and it shows you know how to manage your money.
But again, I don't want to go I don't like
to go too deep and get people confused. But that's
how you get your credit score to jump up. Ms
Beth go on, okay, let's move all right, so let's
go ahead. Before I do that, let me let me
give a shout out here. I got my shout out

(01:12:35):
list here, my good friends. I love these people a lot.
I love them a lot, mister and missus Charles and
Ella Brown. I love them. Last month in May they
celebrated fifty three years of marriage. Love these people, beautiful
spirits just mister Charles and Ella Brown. Thank you for

(01:12:59):
being my new friends. You know it's interesting in life
as we get older, it can be it can be
difficult to find new friends as you get older. You
know a lot of us we have all of our
the most of our friends are founded when we're in school,
high school, college, you know, we find our all of

(01:13:20):
our core friends. And through life you find people along
the way. You have to be selective, though, because once
people get old enough and shrewd enough be your friend
to use you gonna be Bes's friends. I know she
can get into these clubs for free. So but as
you get older in life, you have to be selective
on who you let in your court, your circle. And

(01:13:41):
miss mister Charles and missus La Brown, these are some
beautiful people. They'll just call me just to say hello,
don't want anything. That's That kind of person is hard
to find, So thank you all for being my new friends.
Let me also let me give a few more shout
outs before bev uh throw something throws one of these
DJ things at me. All right, So a big shout

(01:14:01):
out to my friend Barbara Brown. She came out last
month and bought herself a brand new Buick in Vista.
You've probably seen the Invista on the road and not
know what it is. As a matter of fact, when
you see the Invista, a lot of people are surprised
that it's a Buick. It looks so modern. It looks
almost like it looks like an electric car, but it's

(01:14:23):
not scas But it is the most popular car out
there right now, the Buick Invista. Go to buick dot
com you can take a look at how sleek it looks.
But big shout out to miss Barbara, she is always
always bought her cars for me. When I was over
at Carreyville, she bought a Camaro from me. She bought
a Buick lacross from me. And now that I'm over

(01:14:43):
at the Sunrise Store in Bartlett near the wolf Chase Mall,
she came and bought herself a Buick in Vista. Big
high salute to Amber Mobiley and Betty Jones. God bless
miss Jones. She's seventy eight. I thought he I was
gonna give us some love on air. Miss Betty je
is seventy eight. She's the grandmother of Amber. And thank

(01:15:05):
you all for coming out. Miss Amber came out and
bought herself again a Buick twenty twenty six buick in Vista.
My friend Stanley, Stanley Lurie, he came out and bought
himself an Infinity q X five six and I showed
I told missus Stanley I was going to show him
some love. If you're looking for to getting your furniture

(01:15:27):
repostered or repaired, you give Stanley a call. I got
permission to give his telephone number out. He has his
own shop over on Warford Street. So if you have
some furniture you need to get repaired or fixed or reposter,
you give him a call. His telephone number is nine
zero one six four to four for zero for zero

(01:15:51):
good brother. A couple more names here, A few more
names here. Tyra Smith Wright. She bought herself a brand
new twenty twenty Buick and Vista. She has so much energy.
She is a sharp girl, young lady. Rather, thank you
so much, Miss Tyra Smith Right for coming out. You
had options, You could have went anywhere in the city,

(01:16:13):
and you allowed me to serve you, and I sincerely
appreciate you. She's probably listening right now. I think she runs.
She's a I want to say she's a manager over
at the facility she's at. But if you're not the manager,
just make a mad and say I'm the manager today.
But Tyra Smith right, thank you for allowing me to
serve you. Miss Latasha Jones came out and bought her

(01:16:33):
daughter a brand new Buick Encore GX, and Miss Latasha
Jones she's a shrewd accountant type. She did for thirty
six months. I mean she got the matter of fact.
Let me read that to you right now. Let me
find this sheet where is it at? I'll tell you
what kind of deal she got for her daughter. She

(01:16:53):
was big on this deal. So if you're looking for
a really, really good deal and saved some money the
twenty six Buick Encore GX. Only can you get the
two thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars of what they
call conquest money. It looks like down payment on the worksheet.
She also wanted to go with the zero point nine
percent financing for thirty six months. Shrewd she is. So

(01:17:16):
she got herself a really good deal. And if you're
looking for that same deal, it is happening this month.
So you can go to our website, go to Sunrise
at wolf Chase, Sunrise at Wolfchase dot com and you
can pull up all of our inventory and on that
inventory it shows you what the savings are to make
it easy for you. So if you want to see

(01:17:38):
exactly what the cost of the car minus the incentives,
go to Sunrise at Wolfchase dot com and you can
pull that up. Two more names, Miss Belle and Deil.
We'll move forward here. Big shout out to ken Yonta McNeil.
He bought himself a brand new Buick Investor. Again, the
Investor is the most popular car on the market right now.
And also, let me give it, I thought I was

(01:17:59):
gonna joke with her missus Janice Anderson and her son,
Gerald Anderson. They came out and bought themselves a twenty
one Chevrolet Malibu. And Miss Anderson she was looking at
a car over at another dealership and she came out
and she wanted to see if I can help her
save some money. The car is priced, I think it.
I don't know the exact number. I think it was

(01:18:20):
roughly fifteen thousand dollars. She said, can I count? Can
you save me any money? I said, let me do you.
I said, you test drive this car when you come back,
let me see if I can save you some money.
And just so happened. I did a little, a little
behind the scenes footwork and found out that this vehicle
was right at that threshold of being discount and I
talked to management team to go ahead and discount the

(01:18:40):
car another thousand dollars. So Missus Janis, I said, Miss Jeneis,
you must be some South Memphis because she was working me. Boy,
even after the thousand dollars discount, she was still working
man that I thought I was gonna mess with her.
So thank you all for allowing us to serve you.
You could have went anywhere in town to buy Miss Anderson.
He's a fine young man, gentleman of a guy eighteen
years old, great future ahead of him. So thank you

(01:19:01):
for allowing me to serve Misbee of anything before I go.

Speaker 3 (01:19:04):
Well, this email Jesse wanted to know says, Hey, Kerry,
do you all have electric cars where you work?

Speaker 4 (01:19:10):
Yeah, brand new electric cars.

Speaker 5 (01:19:11):
We do.

Speaker 4 (01:19:12):
We sell when it comes to electric vehicles. We have
the GMC Hummer ev All Electric and we have the
GMC Sierra ev All Electrics. We do have brand new
electric cars. If I'm not mistaken, I want to say
that we have all of our hummers have been sold.
We sold them all. What But but if someone really

(01:19:34):
wants to get a Hummer, we can still bring one ink.
We can bring them in. We do what we call
dealer trades. We can bring one in from our trading
dealerships to get them in. Yeah, we sold all our hummers.
And I'm miss Bell loves that truck. I'm being sorry.

Speaker 6 (01:19:49):
I know you are.

Speaker 4 (01:19:50):
I thought about you this morning. When I was coming in.

Speaker 3 (01:19:53):
I saw one of those ugly cars Tesla the cyber. Yeah, yeah,
I saw it. I called it the Jetsons, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:20:01):
Interesting enough, I was reading a report today electric cars
most all dealers or manufacturers rather are skilling back on
their evs. Bev kind of predicted that, I mean, just
based on what she likes. I guess that was kind
of a Bell is kind of a sample of the
whole market. Bell was not interested and into the manufacturer's credit.
When when President Trump came in, he pulled all the

(01:20:23):
incentives back, so it made the trying to buy yourself
an electric car got more expensive because the tax credits.
He pulled the tax credits away, and that really kind
of changed the market. And as you already know, an
oval city that's being converted to something else. To the
truck that's right, yeah, to the trust I know, I
know Bell called it, called it wow. But yeah, but

(01:20:48):
thank you Jesse for that, because Terry talks about a
lot of cars, but you don't talk about the electric
cars that are so do they are they selling over
there where you are? Well, we've all of our Hummer
trucks are gone. Yeah, we said, so those were electric,
all electric. We have the GMC Sierra evs. You know,
right now the most popular electric vehicles in the United States,

(01:21:13):
of course, is the Tesla vehicles, but worldwide, the most
popular electric vehicles is a company in China called BYD.
You've heard of by D. They out sold Tesla last
year worldwide and Tesla. Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla
or them. You know, he actually well there's a controversy

(01:21:34):
on how it was found that he came in and
bought it, and he says he's the founder now. But anyway,
I admire the guy. I think most people really like
Elon until he kind of got into politics. You know,
exactly when you get into politics, you can change a
person's view on you. He should have never did that.
But anyway, Elon Musk and Donald Trump and I'm sure

(01:21:55):
many others don't want the BYD product to get into
the United States. It's because if you go online and
look this vehicle up, go in Google or go to
YouTube and type in BYD this car. These cars are
beautiful and they're cheaper than Tesla. So if those vehicles
come into the market, which they're trying to keep them out,
they're going to undercut and over sal Tesla, I believe.

(01:22:20):
So ye have to answer that question. Electric cars are
not the talk as they once were. They are not
in demand as they once were, and a part of
that again, is because the new administration took away the
tax credits to help people save money. When I think
of the tax credits when you bought a vehicle, an

(01:22:40):
electric car under I want to say eighty thousand. Don't
hold me to that. I think it was under eighty thousand,
and you can get a tax credit for two three
four thousand dollars. But anyway, it was the savings that
people can take the advantage of. Miss bell anything before
I continue, no, sir, let me tinue. Let me continue.
So for those who are waiting for the most stokee cars, yes,

(01:23:01):
I was waiting for that in twenty twenty five. Let
me give you that list again. I gave this I
think I want to say, I give this list out
of two or three months ago. But someone asked me
about it, and I says, you know what, Let me
just for those who missed it, let me just go
back over it again. So this is coming from Ford
Forbes and Forbes have gotten this information from the National

(01:23:24):
Insurance Crime Bureau, and it reads the Hyundai Elantra is
the most Let me give clarity because it doesn't say
it in its writing. Here, the Hyundai Elantra, they the
new cars have Thenition immobilizer installed on them. The new

(01:23:45):
cars have the initition immobilizer installed, which means the thieves
cannot easily steal the Hyundai Elunchra. So I believe that
these models were like twenty nineteen, eighteen seventeen and under
the vehicles that did not have the immobilizer. So the vehicle,
if you're buying a new Hyundai or a new Kiya,

(01:24:07):
you're okay. They have the immobilizer on there. So this
report reads, the Hyundai Eluntra is the most stolen vehicle
in the US according to over twenty one thousand, seven
hundred thefts, followed closely by the Honda Accord and the
Hyundai Sonata. The Chevrolet Camaro ZL one also remains a
frequent target, being stolen at a rate thirty nine times

(01:24:31):
higher than the national average. Again, what I'm about to
read to you comes from a Forbes article that was
written I want to say March or twenty twenty six.
This data comes from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. I
just told you what number one was, and it's that's
the Hyundai Elantra. These are this is the report for
twenty twenty five, twenty one thousand, seven hundred and thirty two,

(01:24:54):
THEFTS Number two, the Honda a Cord seventeen thousand, seven
hundred and ninety seven, THEFTS number three, the Hyundai Sonata
seventeen thousand, six eighty seven thefts the number four, Chevrolet
Silverado fifteen hundred sixteen thousand, seven hundred and sixty four,
THEFTS number five, the Hundred Civic twelve thousand, seven hundred

(01:25:17):
and twenty five, THEFTS number six, the Kia Optima eleven thousand,
five hundred and twenty one, THEFTS number seven, the Ford
F one fifty ten thousand, one hundred and two, THEFTS
number eight, the Toyota Camri nine thousand, eight hundred and
thirty three, THEFTS number nine, the Hunda CRV nine thousand,

(01:25:42):
eight hundred and nine thefts, and the last one on
the list of ten, the Nissan Ultima eight thousand, four
hundred and forty five thefts. Now it also reads here
why are these cars targeted? And I'll read this here.
The viral theft methods many older. As I pointed out,

(01:26:06):
Hyundai and Kia models lacked the electronic immobilizers, making them
vulnerable to popular social media hot wiring methods. Now myself,
I own a twenty thirteen Kia Forte, and it doesn't
look like you're standing Forte. It's a sports coop. But

(01:26:27):
my vehicle does not have the immobilizer. And I work
at the dealership, and after I bought the car, I
think the Kia Boys video start to come out. So
I thank god I do have a couple measures on
my car that I have. The steirring wheel club, a
keel switch. That's gonna be the terrence. But anyway, let
me continue reading here. Parts and component value. High selling

(01:26:50):
trucks like the Silverado and F one point fifty and
popular commuter cars like the Civic and Accord are targeted
because there is a massive after market demand for their
parts and catalytic converters. Okay, another point, performance parts sports
cars like the Camaro Z one are frequently stolen, specifically

(01:27:14):
for the high value engine and body components. Protect your
vehicle so to here's how to protect your vehicle. Install
an immobilizer kill switch for older Hyundai's or Kias, take
advantage of provided software updates, or install physical stirring wheel locks.
Number two block which I spoke about this on another topic.

(01:27:38):
Block The relay attacks. Use a signal blocking Faraday box
or pouch for your push button start keyfobs to prevent
fees from amplifying the signal from your driveway. And the
last one here, park smart. Always park in a well
lit area, keep your doors locked, of course, and never

(01:27:59):
leave your car running unintended, even if making a quick stop.

Speaker 3 (01:28:03):
Okay, I think most people know that that's kind of
common sense. So now I'm gonna move here to make
sure I don't forget anything. Just let me also reiterate
this for folks who are looking for a pickup truck,
a new truck, let me tell you all the incentives
for the twenty twenty six GMC Sierra. For well qualified buyers,

(01:28:25):
you can get a rate as low as two point
nine percent APR for seventy two months and strong. And
also on top of that, no payment can be due
for one hundred and twenty I'm sorry, one hundred and
thirty days for well qualified buyers.

Speaker 4 (01:28:43):
Also, the Sierra fifteen hundred, they do have bonus cash
and trade in assistance.

Speaker 3 (01:28:47):
Let me tell you what those are. So right now
you get seventeen fifty in customer cash. That's basically a
discount so that comes off the top of the price
for you. And again you can go to my website
and it shows you exactly what the price of the
truck is. We were very transparent at our Sunrise store.

Speaker 4 (01:29:05):
You can go to Sunrise at Wolfchase dot com and
it shows you exactly what you will pay. And also
you can qualify up to three thousand, five hundred dollars
in trade assistance for eligible trade ins, So keep those
in mind here. Okay, uh oh, I got somebody here.

(01:29:26):
Oh okay, this is miss Latasha. Just text me. Tell
mom I said hello. I love her, Love the whole family.
Beautiful family. They always track me down, find where I
am and come and shot with me. I absolutely I
love everybody, but especially for those folks who make an
effort to see me, to get with me. That just
touches my heart. I really appreciate it. So Latasha, Mom,

(01:29:49):
the whole family, thank you. I love you all very much. Okay,
misbev anything before I move forward here, because I'm gonna
talk a little bit about folks with challenge credit. Okay,
real quick, you gotta break it something come out then'
you're good. No, okay, we're good. Let's talk about it.
Let's talk about Okay, so we are in Memphis, and

(01:30:11):
you know there is a challenge credit market in Memphis.
There's a big challenge credit market in Memphis. And when
people come out to visit with me and they have
scores in the low fives as an example, you're gonna
likely whatever you get approved on, it's gonna most likely
have a high rate nineteen twenty percent somewhere thereabout If

(01:30:36):
you don't have a lot of money to put down three,
four or five thousand dollars when I say a lot,
or you don't have a co signer, and you need
a car, you've got to get a car, and what
you're being presented is something that you don't like. You
don't like this high payment, this high interest rate, and

(01:30:56):
you're trying to figure out what to do well without
down payment or a co signer. The strategy is, it's
pretty much a simple strategy. You've got to buy this car.
If you have to get a car, you've got to
buy this car. And I tell folks, I know sometimes
people want to pay cash for something. When you pay

(01:31:20):
cash for something, you buying potentially buying someone else's problem.
So you may pay cash, you may not have to
pay anything for a month or two, but you might
have to fix something, and that's gonna basically equate to
a car note. If you have to fix something that
costs two thousand and three thousand dollars, you divide that
over a year, that's your car note for the year.

(01:31:41):
So I tell folks with the challenge credit, if you
can buy a brand new car with the manufacturer's warranty,
that's really the way to go. But sometime that payment
is too high for folks, and I get that. So
we have to look for something that's pre owned, preferably
with the warranty already built in it. And if we

(01:32:03):
can't get a car that's already got a warranty built
in it, then I'm gonna recommend that you get that warranty.
And as I just told you earlier, ninety five percent
of the time that warrant is gonna protect you. But
there is a chance it could be a problem that
I in my over a decade, I've only seen this
happen to me once, where someone's warranty was probably not

(01:32:26):
gonna work for them. But then you have to get
the dealer to step in and do the right thing.
But let me get back on the point because that's
a whole another topic there. So when you buy this
car and your instrate is twenty percent, you always hear
me talk about this thirteen month payment plan, and some
people have done it in shorter periods of time. But
I know when you make thirteen payments one time, that

(01:32:49):
is the key. You can't misspayments, and that's an important
time frame. You make thirteen payments one time, you come
back into the dealership. It's what's one of two things
you can do. You can refinance it with your credit union.
The dealerships can't refinance it for you. The only thing
we can do is trade you out and put you

(01:33:10):
in another vehicle. You have to create a relationship with
your credit union, or if you already have a relationship
with your credit union. You've got to get your scores.
Most credit unions want your scores over six hundred. Once
you get your scores over six hundred, then you can
refinance to get that payment down. Most people choose to
come back in thirteen months later to trade, and they

(01:33:34):
don't necessarily because someone is going to say, well, you
mean to tainment, I've got to pay thirteen months and
then come back and trade and I got to sign
up for another seventy two months. Yeah, that's yes, that's
what you have to do.

Speaker 3 (01:33:44):
That's you've got to That's the way you get your
credit back to a standing where you can take control
of your money.

Speaker 4 (01:33:52):
And that's the cost to do it. If you don't
have a big down payment or someone that can sign
with you, yes, that's the way you do it. Fortunately,
you know, you know, some people don't have the option
to make an other move. So you go into this
I don't want to call it a programs. You go
into this thirteen month payment, pay those payments one time,

(01:34:12):
and if you really want to see that credit move.
I share with folks, and I don't like people to
get distracted with too many other options. But get yourself
one major credit card or a j C. Pennies or
a Macy's card, open it up, open your account up,
and only charge thirty percent. As you're making that those
thirteen payments, pay that thirty percent. Don't pay it the

(01:34:34):
whole thing off the next month. That's not gonna help you.
You've got to pay that balance over the same thirteen
months and your credit is gonna jump up. That's gonna
put you over a six hundred credit score hopefully, so
you'll have the option to refinance it if you love
the car, or when you go to trade. This is
what you want to do. Here's the part two of
that strategy. If your rate is twenty percent when you

(01:34:55):
go to trade, yes, you will have negative equity. It's
gonna be there. You have to find a vehicle where
the manufacture is giving you a rebate, some type of incentive,
a conquest bonus, cash, something that's gonna be used to
help you clean up that negative so you don't carry

(01:35:16):
it all over in the new car loan, so to speak.
On what's happening in the market right now. The buick
Encore GX has a twenty two to fifty in rebate.
So if you were a year ago you bought a
car you want to trade now, I'll tell you to
look at the buick Encore GX. It's a small SUV.
You use that bonus, I'm sorry to use that conquest money,

(01:35:38):
and you have to qualify the way you qualify. You
or someone in your household, they don't have to trade,
they just need need to own a twenty twelve or
newer none GM vehicle, which means they need to own
a vehicle that's not a Cadillac, a GMC Chevrolet, or Buick.
As long as it's a twenty twelve or newer. The

(01:35:59):
manufacturer sure GM is giving you twenty two two thousand,
two hundred and fifty dollars to help you with your
next purchase. You use that money to clean up your
negative equity, and then in this next vehicle, if you've
done everything as planned, we can bring that twenty percent
interest rate down to low teens and sometimes even the

(01:36:21):
single digits. I tell people too, when someone is trying
to buy their dream car and the interest rate comes
back or at sixteen seventeen percent, I'll say to them,
that's not your dream car. It's more like a day
dream car. At that point, you buy your dream car
and pay it off when the interest rate is in

(01:36:43):
the single digits, meaning nine percent or less. Those are
the vehicles that you can pay the monthly payment as
prescribed because the bank will make a little money on you,
not a whole bunch, but they'll make a little money.
But that way you can pay the car comfortably. As
a matter of fact, when I bought my key, as
a matter of fact back and will not a bouy

(01:37:04):
that car. I forget it was in the mid teens.
But I financed that car and my interest rate I
cannot finance. Couldn't believe it. My interest rate was one
point four to nine percent. And every time I would
pay the note, my bank would say, you want to
go ahead and pay it off? And I would say,
why pay it off? If their interest is one point
four to nine percent, it's almost free money. No, let

(01:37:26):
me just pay the note as prescribed. So when your
load is in the single digits, just pay this prescribe.
But someone asked me should I should I pay cash
for my car? Should I finance? And I says, that's
a good question. Here's the answer to that. If you
can finance a car and your rate comes back at
three or four percent, finance the car. The bank is
not going to make a killing on you. They make

(01:37:47):
a little money, but you're good. And I said, if
you finance the car and the rate comes back at
twenty percent, you got cash. Yeah, just pay it in
cash or use a big chunk of the money buy
the interest rate. Now, there are many ways you can
do it. I'm not a financial advisor. I was talking
to someone yesterday and she called me and says, hey,
my dad told me to call you. You a financial advisor.
Says no, I'm not a financial advisor. It's a distinction

(01:38:10):
the financial advisor to somebody that's a totally different person.
I'm an automotive advisor. I know a lot about cars
as far as how to structure deals. That's what I'm
good at. Finding a car, helping you structure a deal,
and making for sure you have a good experience. Not
everybody has a good experience. I and Bell can attest
to this. I want to make for sure. Even if

(01:38:31):
you come and busy with me and for whatever reason
you don't buy a car, I want you to at
least to say I had a good experience. So ms
beeB I'll go long and long anything before no before
we go. I just noticed the time, is Bill okay,
okay being about to run me out of here? That
wolf of ball bat is coming out of her purse.
So if you want to reach me just for advice,

(01:38:53):
I'm happy to give advice. Even if you're not buying
from you. You can be at another another dealership. You
can call me and I will give you advice to
