Parent Confessions - The Grinch Stole The Decorations

Good morning at Schmidty, and it's a Wednesday. Every week.
I go ahead and let you know we're all in
this together. Okay, I'm gonna tell you I don't feel
great about it, but I don't feel terrible about it.
We went on our first official Christmas light drive last night.
It's an absolute tradition with my kids. We probably do

it at least once a week throughout the month. We
just go around and find different parts of West Michigan
and we look at Christmas lights. My kids love Christmas lights.
Their next level obsessed, and they especially love the inflatables.
So if you've got a house with an inflatable, just
know my family's probably driven by it. Maybe applauded. But
my daughter mentioned it last week after we went to

the East Grand Rapids tree lighting. She's become very obsessed
with the Grinch because the Grinch was at the tree lighting.
She's watched like three different versions of the Grinch. She
loves the Grinch, just thinks thrill misunderstood guy. So we're
driving around last night looking at these lights and it
seems like a lot of people have inflatable Grinches and
she was like, oh my, can we please please get

a Glinch. It was like, you want to get a Grinch?
She's like, Oh, I think that'd be the best thing
the whole world for our house. Well, let me tell
you guys, now that we're officially in season, an inflatable
Grinch ain't the cheapest thing on the market. So what
did I do. I don't know. I maybe said I'm sorry, honey.
It's just the Grinch did what the Grinch does, and
he stole all of the inflatables and we're going to
