The Gift with Strings Attached

we've all had at least one in our life a
gift that ended up having a couple strings attached. And listen,
the season forgiving, but giving better than receiving the whole thing.

We can still admit that sometimes you've gotten the short
end of the stick on a Christmas gift or something else,
Birthday gift, something that was given to you and then
you went, oh, this is why six one six, four
five eight, one oh five seven. I was just talking
the other day with one of my neighbors and she's
so excited because her son is about to get his license.

(00:42):
He's got all of his practice hours in, he took
the driver's training test, good to go, and while he's thinking,
oh my gosh, this is fantastic independence my own car,
she's going, I can't wait for you to take on
the load of all of your siblings. And I said,
this is the life if I led. I was the
oldest of four. I got my license. I was so excited,

and then my mom handed me a schedule, and she
was like, this is great. Your one brother has basketball
from this time to this time. Your other brother has
to go to drama this time to this time. And
if you don't mind, you could picture your other brother
up from preschool at this time. Yet she was so excited,
like I have a secondary chaperone six one six, four

five eight one oh five seven. That gift that maybe
had a couple strings attached? And was it worth it? Hey,

A friend of mine got me tickets to a play
for my birthday and the only thing was is I
couldn't take my girlfriend. I had to go with him.
So it was a good gift, but I didn't really
like the strings attached to that one.

the grocery store, the church, fingo.

Night, doctor's appointments, and apparently every cousin's graduation party.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
I didn't get a car. I got a part time
job as a chauffeur.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
I feel you, girl, You heard me. I'm the oldest
of four, got my driver's license. Suddenly I'm driving three
brothers around to every sport, volunteer moment and extracurricular imaginable.
