Now into a sixth week, the government shut down and
its impacts of deepened nationwide, officially becoming the longest federal

government shut down in history. President Trump lashing out at
Senate Republicans yesterday, blaming the impasse for the party's defeat
in very closely watched elections, while Democrats, emboldened by their
off year victories, dug in for a fight. Now. Federal
closures are disrupting lives of millions of Americans, with more

program cuts, flight delays, and workers scrambling to figure out
life without paychecks. Breaking last night, the FAA did say
they will reduce flight capacity by ten percent at forty
major airports across the country. The restrictions will go into
effect tomorrow morning. TSA Secretary Sean Duffy said it'll be

forced to shut down airspace in some of areas of
the country if the shutdown continues into next week. Now, locally,
the city of Grand Rapids has issued notice in response
to the impact of the federal government shutdown, the Grand
Rapids Water System will suspend water shut offs until further notice.

An update out of Louisville. At least twelve people have
now died after the left engine separated from a ups
plane when it was departying Muhammad Ali International Airport destined
for Hawaii. The aircraft's three crew members and nine others

who have not yet been identified are among the deceased.
Taking a look at sports, it was a good night
for the Pistons, Kate Cunningham scoring nineteen of his thirty
one points in the fourth quarter alone as the Pistons
win their fourth straight, beating the Utah Jazz one fourteen
to one oh three. Anna heads up for Wolverine fans.
