Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ashley in the Jamie Morning Show When you need to Know,
we got you three things you need to Know on
Boston's number one for hip hop and the best throwbags.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Do you haven't any?

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Four five Tuesday, August twenty fifth, And there were fireworks
in Plymouth yesterday And I am not talking about the
wink and smile at the camera.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
I am talking about the potential mistrial.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Big Kevin Reddington was in a mood and I can't
say I blame him after a psychologist said this.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Understand that was part of her expectation that she and
the children would be together in heaven with God. She
was raised as a Catholic and this as I understand
Catholic considerations, that's not necessarily what happens. But when I

(00:47):
ask her about that, when I said, isn't suicide of
mortal sin?

Speaker 4 (00:53):
She will yeah, I see counsel over here.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Oh yeah, you gotta separate church and state. Really, guys,
if you think about it, you need the jury to say, hey,
we have made this decision based on the facts, not
on our faith.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
And this has happened multiple times in this trial.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
And so now at this point, Kevin Rentonin's like, well, wait,
a second, what's going on. Ask the judge for a mistrial,
which I think was fitting. The judge said none, No.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
I'm not going to declare a mistrial this time. What
I am going to do is I'm going to bring
the jury in. I'm gonna tell them to disregard it.
I'm going to tell them that it's an inappropriate ear
of inquiry and that this witness is understanding of Catholic
dogma or Catholic teaching is irrelevant.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
If you're having a conversation with somebody and they say
something to you and they say, no.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
What forget I ever said that. I think about that
daily when I think about the judge telling the.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Jury just disregard. Don't listen to that, pretend you never heard.
They're not going to be able to do that. But
either way, no mistrial. We're back in court today. I
think the psychiatr psychologist that I just played will also
go back on the stand. I'm thinking possible closing arguments
later this afternoon or as early as tomorrow. But that
specific psychologist that I just played for you, he also

(02:11):
on the stands that he believes Lindsay to be bipolar,
but does not believe she was having a psychotic break
during the time she took the lives of her children.
His testimony was that she allegedly told him it took
her eighteen minutes to strangle the children. She said she
told the kids to go to God during that time
while also hearing an external voice. His issue is she

(02:32):
only heard that external voice that one specific time during
that time period. He said, that makes it highly unusual
to be in a psychosis if the voice was isolated
to the murders and not at other times. Now, we
also heard from another psychologist who had a testimony where
Lindsay said her recollection of the events were fuzzy and
foggy at best. I can't imagine what that jury is feeling.

(02:54):
And you know, they have to decide is Lindsay criminally responsible?
Did she plot this? Did she planned this as she methodically,
you know, take the lives of her children knowing what
she was doing. Or was she mentally insane at the time.
Like I said, I think closing arguments could start as
early as tomorrow. That jury is made up of twelve
women and six men. Six alternatures were seated. All right,
let's talk about Matthew McConaughey. Just because it's a funny story.

(03:16):
It's light, it's easy, and it's absolutely hilarious. You would never,
in your actual lifetime believe that Janet Jackson helped Matthew
McConaughey quit smoking weed.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
What a cool, groovy little tune. It's also the reason
I quit smoking weed. It was a night I was
this particular night I was headed to my own birthday party.
Before I go on, Buddy Hanson's joint was here. Man,
it was not like the wead I'd smoked before. I
listened to Janet Jackson's Bestly Loved Ghost twenty four times row.
And when I finally got out of the car to
go into my birthday party, no one was in there

(03:50):
because it was over. They had all left because I
sat in the freaking car listen high.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
High is a kite high.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It's listening, by the way, tell me, you can't just
look at Matthew McConaughey and know that he says the
word groovy.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
He just looks like somebody that says groovy.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
He listened to that song twenty four times ago. I
am the same way i'd taken embarrassing. I will listen
to this same song at nauseum on reape over and
over and over and over again until I'm like, all right,
I'm good there.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
I've listened six hundred and fifty thousand times.

Speaker 1 (04:21):
It can go in my library and when it pops up, ooh,
this song does just go though.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
I get it.

Speaker 4 (04:34):
That's the way, the way, that's the way to live,
that's the way to work, that's the way.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Coach the day to Not gonna make me sop drinking,
but it is. It is a jam, all right.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
And lastly, if you were in and around LA at
some point in your time, maybe you're in Calabasas, you're
rolling up on the Starbucks.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Guess who might be here? Barista Northwest, Yes, Northwest.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Northy was doing an eat interview with Dazed magazine and
she said, quote, I still want to work. I want
to work at like Starbucks next year. She goes, I
think I can do it next year because I'm gonna
be fourteen, so I think I can.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I just want to have a regular job. She said.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
She's a regular girlie. She makes mood boards for her
nails and for her hair on Pinterest.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
She's just like the rest of us. So there you
have it.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
When you were going to get your pumpkin spice latte
in Calabasas.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Next year you might be rolling on a northwest.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
There is no way in hell, but I know Starbucks
is probably salivating at the chance. That is three things
you need to know for Tuesday, August the twenty fifth.
Let's do round two of these tickets, multiple tickets, Pitbull,
Lil John. This Saturday, Exfinity Center, you're there. Oh, you're

which I miss every.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
Kay you did the White now in Girl.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
I was in the mountains, like the house that we
stayed in and Brenton Woods. At Brenton Woods, there wasn't
a grocery store within thirty minutes like Woods.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah, yeah, so you're not in the woods.

Speaker 7 (07:11):
I am not in the Woods.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I'm more southern New Hampshire.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Okay, so about forty five minutes away from like Manchester.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Oh okay, all right, well yeah, definitely different from where
I was at. I It's funny because this morning I
was talking to Nanny Helen. She's like, man, your pictures
just look so good. It looked like it had the
best trip ever. I was like, oh no, I was actually.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
I was actually in hell. But the pictures look nice.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
You know, the kids that the kids enjoy the theme parks.
But like if anybody knows, they know that was Hell
and Earth. But anyways, I digress. What's up with you?

Speaker 2 (07:42):
How are you doing? What's going on?

Speaker 6 (07:45):
Oh?

Speaker 7 (07:45):
Not a whole lot.

Speaker 3 (07:46):
I'm doing good, you.

Speaker 7 (07:47):
Know, just having a day.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, well, listen, I'm gonna make it a little bit
better for you. I hope you don't have any plans
this weekend because I'm filling them up. You're going to

the one? Wow?

Speaker 6 (08:20):

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Honestly I lean more towards that show myself as well.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Who will you bring? Because it's a whole weekend now,
I'm not sure if I'm being one.

Speaker 6 (08:35):

Speaker 6 (09:54):
She's twenty today? My yeah, me too. Oh yeah, my
husband is listening. He just dropped me off. He always
liked to say how much he contributed in creating her. Well,
I always saw him. He really didn't do much of anything.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
Well, I got it. I might have to side with
him on this. He did. I mean, she's here because
we needed a hymn.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
You know, yeah, that's true, that's true. But I did
most of the work.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Right, You might have done the heavy lifting. But you know,
what do you guys have play? What season are we
in it?

Speaker 6 (10:28):
Like?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
What? What? What sign is she?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Well? Her?

Speaker 6 (10:32):
She's a virgo for both virgos. Because my birthday is
next week.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Yeah wow, okay, yeah virgos. I had her.

Speaker 6 (10:38):
I had her week and a half before my birthday.
But she's a Virgo. But her name is Autumn because
it's my favorite season.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
Oh beautiful name. Well, happy birthday to Autumn. What is
a twenty one year oh sorry, twenty year old want
for the birthday.

Speaker 6 (10:50):
Yeah, we got her concert tickets. She's gonna see Malcolm Todd.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Wow, that's amazing.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
I don't know what that is. Yeah, she's very excited.
She almost cried.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
Yeah, he sound is Malcolm. Is Malcolm a single person?
I'm looking them up.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Malcolm Todd. Here he is, all right, Malcolm Todd. I
got him the Do That Again, Oh, the Do That
Again tour.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Yeah, he's only in Boston the one day, so he's
super excited.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
I love that MGM Music Hall. He's gonna be at
Fenway at the end of September. Malcolm Todd. I love it.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
Yeah, yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
We'll send her my love and I tell her to
have the best birthday.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
And and by the way, happy early birthday to you.

Speaker 6 (11:43):
Thank you so much. It was talking to you too bad.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
It's so crazy in this world where like someone'll be like, oh,
I'm going to a sold out show of Malcolm Todd,
and I'm like, what, Like, I don't know, there's so
many artists out there. I'm like, I'm looking at Malcolm Todd.
I've never seen him in my whole literal life. But
maybe if I heard a song of Malcolm Todd Alex,
have you ever heard of Malcolm Todd?

Speaker 2 (12:07):
You're a DJ. Have you ever got any requests for
for Malcolm Todd?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (12:11):
No, okay, but I'm open to become a fan.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
So you're not playing Malcolm Todd on RUBA. Got it
all right, We got it all right.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
Let's talk to Cassidy.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
Cassidy is in Rhode Island High cass nothing much.

Speaker 8 (12:28):
I'm just driving to work. I just wanted to call
and say thank you guys for the Usher and Chris
Brown tickets from last week. It was an amazing show.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
I let's just get They're gone now, so I think
we can talk about this.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
We can be open. Who did you like better?

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Like?

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Performance wise? Were you more of a Chris Galley or
an Usher?

Speaker 8 (12:48):
I may be biased because I've seen Chris Brown before,
but I loved Usher same.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
I honest like I thought that when Usher was on
the stage, AJ and I were saying this, like he
he was so commanding, like I felt like I couldn't
look away. It's also I agree, every time you go
to a show, let's be honest, they're hitting you with
a new song off a new album that you most
likely don't care about. Anytime Usher opens his mouth. I
was like, oh another banger. Oh my god, another banger,

(13:15):
another one.

Speaker 8 (13:16):
So I know this song.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yesh.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
I'm not to say Chris didn't do his thing out there,
but there was a difference. And by the way, this
is a debate online and I've I've read a lot
of people being like, well, Chris is nodding to Usher
because it's Usher show. I was like, it's still Chris Brown, Okay.

Speaker 8 (13:33):
I also don't know what anybody was talking about. That
was the real Usher up there. That was Usher, the
man himself. There's like tiktoks from other shows saying that
like it wasn't the real Usher, it was a clone
or I don't know really him.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
I'm not trying to this is gonna sound a little braggy.
I was very close when Usher was at that part
of the stage.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
I think it was him, but I will say when
they went to the when they went to him in
the middle and he.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Was at this ball or stage with the sunglasses on,
I was like, the clone is here.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
I had a moment where.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
I said, I said, I said you need to I
said to be moo. I said, I think for a
quick flash, the clone is your a, J did you
see did you.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
See what I mean? When he has those glasses on,
I don't know, I don't know. His whole face changes.

Speaker 1 (14:17):
I get okay, he gets him well, Cass, I like there.
I love a I love giving away tickets.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
I love when we have them.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
But I also love even more when people call and
say that they had like the greatest time.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
That's that's awesome. It was the best time.

Speaker 8 (14:32):
You guys are the best.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
All right, bab well, thank you so much. I appreciate
the call.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
I feel I feel like I actually owe you an
apologize apology. And Alex, you were there too, and I
think AJ told me you kind of waited on this.
I wasn't not I have no no shade towards Usher,
but I was just kind of like whatever, like, yeah,
we'll see Usher. I knew Chris was like, I mean,
I've seen Chris perform, and that man can sing, he
can dance like he does the whole all sher blew
me away.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
So my apologies because I know that's like the love
of your life.

Speaker 9 (14:58):
I accept your apology.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
And didn't Alex during the show say kind of the
same thing.

Speaker 9 (15:02):
Okay, So Alex and I were sitting together, and after
Usher did his first set, he.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Was like, all right, now it's time for Chris Brown
to do a really show. Yeah, no, I was, I was.
I was. I was thinking that Chris Brown was going
to nail it out of the park. But uh yeah,
I think Uh definitely outperformed Chris. Yeah. I agree.

Speaker 1 (15:19):
And by the way, this convo is happening online too,
like on social people are talking about and some are saying, oh, well,
Chris you know It's like I said, like, Oh, it's
Usher show and Chris is gonna go out there and
give his all. I just think Usher there was something
about him that was like commanding on the stage.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (15:35):
I think at the end of the day, they're both
R and B artists, but they have different styles so
they're not going to be very similar.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
And I agree the way Usher.

Speaker 9 (15:45):
Walked down that stage and sat in that chair and put.

Speaker 2 (15:48):
That crown on, oh it was. He meant business.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
But there was only one disappointing thing. He didn't have
his bed moment.

Speaker 9 (15:56):
He didn't bring me up on stage with him.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Missed opportunity.

Speaker 9 (16:00):
Dashy Show Boston's number one for hip hop jam.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
In ninety four five. Hi guys, good morning.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
We got so caught up with fun size candy bars
and the check in, I never got a chance to
update you guys on my dad. I get messages here
and again about like, ash, what's the status, where are
we at, what's going on.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
My dad?

Speaker 1 (16:31):
He'll be back to visit, and I feel like, again,
it's it's his story to tell.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
But essentially.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
It was laid out to me that if I were
to continue to chat about the relationship that he's in
on the show, that she would most.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Likely leave him.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
And as much as I joke about my dad, I
want him to be happy and this woman makes him hap.
And so that in turn is I want to say
it makes me happy, but it does him happy.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Is we're all happy. So I have really.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
Done my best with biting my tongue on the whole
story and what happened and how they've they broke up
like sixty five times, but now they're back going strong.
To the point, guys, now, mind you, this is the
same this is the same girl that he's been dating.
You remember the last time he was on the show,
where like he opened up the show by saying like

(17:32):
he had a girlfriend, and we were like, okay, dude, Like,
no one asked, But this is the same one that
they've been on and off. This is the one, and
AJ corrects me if I'm missing anything. But this is
the same girlfriend that remember they had the big breakup
when she got upset because my dad was in a
photo with one of my friends, like they were sitting
too close and it was on Christmas.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
And it was on Christmas.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yes, I'm trying to find my family group chat, but
my brother renamed it.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
After this late update.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Okay, I got it, so a while back, I got
to go back through the text messages. But my dad
sent a text. Now I know it was my dad.
I know it was it was her because it was
written too well. But it was basically like, here is
my upcoming schedule on my travel dates. First off, my

(18:21):
dad would never write travel dates. He also wrote the
woman's full name out, which he would never do, so
it's fine. It was her texting, which also whatever.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
See, I'm gonna digress. I can't.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I'm trying my best to be nice. Update Ashley update
because someone at you guys keep asking, So he leaves
tomorrow to go to Florida with her. They're going from
the twenty seventh through the thirty first, so they're doing
like a Thursday through Monday trip to Florida together. Then
in September on the nineteenth and the twentieth, they're attending

(18:56):
a wedding together.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Okay, this is on a text. I'm gearing up.

Speaker 1 (19:02):
Also in September the twenty sixth to the twenty eighth,
he is taking.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Her to his high school reunion. This is getting pretty serious.
Oh you're not. I hope everybody's buckle. This isn't it?
This isn't it. Wow.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
On my birthday, my fortieth birthday eleven eleven, November eleventh
through November sixteenth, our group chat has been renamed to
France Boy because my dad officially has a passport. Oh,
and and her are going to France.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
Your dad is gonna be in France. Hey, my dad
is going to France.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
I can't even like look at his passport photo because
I can't like. I First off, I said, Dad, what
are you gonna wear Cleveland brown swishy pants to France.
You're gonna, oh, I said, You're gonna go to past
and wear slides.

Speaker 2 (20:03):
You're gonna go to France.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
And wear like the same usf T shirt with sixty
five holes in it that you wear everywhere you like.
I said directly, what are you going to do in France?
Like I because it's very clear this is a trip
she wants to do.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
He's in what what?

Speaker 1 (20:21):
And he said, and I quote, I heard they have
Budweisers in France.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
I hope they do for his sake.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
If guys, I'm gonna post his passport photo because like
I can't. I'm actually I can't handle it if they
don't have buds. If they don't have bud heavies in France, I'm.

Speaker 2 (20:38):
About to google this.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
Do they have Budweiser? Because we're gonna be in some
serious trouble. I'm also like, wow, people actually google this.

Speaker 2 (20:48):
This is so I see do you? Oh my god?
Do they have Budweiser?

Speaker 1 (20:51):
Yes, American Budweiser is sold in France, but it is
