Speaker 1 (00:00):
Oh hi, everybody, wake it up. Get up.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's gonna be a tough Monday for a lot of people.
Happy Monday with the Patriots winning, but everyone's gonna be dragging.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
It was a late game, and it never starts at eight.
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I know, like it wasn't like the worst game, but
it was kind of boring until the end, so like
you're staying up to wait for this excitement and then
it finally happened, but still it was too late.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Three to three at half, just a ton of defense,
and I was like, I don't know if I can
do this anymore.
Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm way too sleepy.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
But nonetheless, it's nice to go to bed and wake
up to a victory.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
It definitely is, because it could be a lot worse
considering what like the last few years was like.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
To It's just exciting times.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
There's so many people I'm out and about in Marshfields
over the weekend, head to toe Patriots.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Everyone's where like there.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
I saw a guy in like a scaley cap with
the Patriots symbol on it.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
I'm like, I mean, I like watching the games, but
I'm not wearing the gear like that.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
No. They had to tell gear now no, now no.
But I like a nod like you were in a
hoodie or something. That's cool.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Yeah, but like you see it everywhere, like the jersey
is no, I'm good. And then what makes it worse
is that people who get the who get them done
with their personalized on the.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Back has one I could see it.
Speaker 3 (01:12):
I think a pup dog.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
There's something about a certain guys can pull off the
jersey look. But there are other guys who wear jerseys
that makes me.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
It's uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
There are so many people that are just hating me
right now.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
But it's everyone has their thing. Yeah, well there are
some guys.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
That are like, what do I look like walking around
with another man like grown man's name on my back?
You know, some people are worried about that. I love
wearing jerseys, but I'm also female.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, so your girl. For guys, it has to be
the right situation, like you, like, you can't do it
on a random like Tuesday to work. It's just doesn't
right fit. Had a game, I can understand that.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's also like one of the Pats players showed up
to the game wearing a Bruins jersey like that. I
was okay with that. That passed the test for me.
But yeah, I know what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
I get it, you know, I get it. You know, fandom,
just fandom. How was your weekend?
Speaker 3 (02:08):
It was good. It was low key. We really didn't
do much. We just hung around the house, so that
was really good. We going to dinner with it as
a family on Saturday night and that was good.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Yeah, same thing. We were super, super chill. We went
out to dinner and we put the kids out Friday.
I hadn't had them out because of the flu and
stuff in like two weeks. And I don't I don't
like that because they need to continue to get accustomed
to being out at a restaurant and how we behave Yeah,
at a restaurant, so we you know, we got them
in there and it was funny because they didn't have
any reservations. I didn't realize at this restaurant you needed
(02:38):
to have a RESI Anyways, the woman's like, okay, well,
if you can get here by five, as long as
you're out by seven, you know, we have another table
coming in.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Honey.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
If we get there at five, you'll be saying bye
to us by five forty. We don't play this second
and people with little little kids would understan understand this.
But a second, I sit down. When the waitress comes over,
I ordered the fireman and I drinks and the food
for the kids, like you have to. If they don't
have things in front of them to do, like you,
(03:11):
you're not taking advantage of the time.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Yeah, wait until you can go out to dinner and
just hang out with your family and the kids.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Well, I can't wait because I saw a table next
to us and the kids were probably eleven or twelve.
They were all talking about what they were you know,
it was just a whole thing like I'm in rush,
We're in panic mode, and that's those are the times
where I give them things that I wouldn't normally, Like
I gave Daisy her her first lollipop at the restaurant
(03:38):
when she was finished her meal.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
She thought she had dieting on them, you know, but
that took up time because she's like, wow, what is this.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
I think that's the only time we allow them to
get sodas is when we're out to dinner.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
But besides they oh, they love it, like let's go
out and yeah, the fireman was working, so it was
a lot of me solo.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
But I finally convinced Leila to stop watching The Grinch.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Never did I think I would say, I don't think
I can watch the Jim Carrey Grinch one more time.
And we watched Frozen one and two. Now everybody talks about,
you know, Frozen. They love Frozen.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I've never seen it.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Well, you didn't have a chance. Why would you write
just random?
Speaker 1 (04:19):
Ye watch cartoon? Yeah, yeah, I want to go to
a nice place. But it's just Disney, man.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
It's like, we don't have to kill off families at
the beginning of every film like they.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I was so taken aback. I was so not prepared
for that.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
But I should be because they've been doing it since
we were little, like Bambi times.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
But the thing with that one is that it's so prevalent,
and all the ones a little more subtle, but that
one is like both parents done in the ship gone dead.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, and then the picture of them with the veil
in front of it. Poof.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
She was like, where's her mommy.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
I'm like at sea, bitch, she's not coming back. I
don't know what tell you she's gone.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
She she kind of actually sat through a good chunk
of it too. She stopped at one point and got
up and started playing. I don't know if she's ready
to sit through a full film, but once it was done,
once we watched Frozen one and two, she was like.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Okay, let's do it again.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
So now, my god, I feel like in two weeks time,
you're gonna be asking me about Frozen and I'm gonna
be like, Aaron Daale is trash. I don't want to
go there. I don't want to be cold anymore. I
don't want to build a snowman. Like I'm done with
it because they just they watched things like that, you
know what I mean. They just have to watch it
at nauseum. So we'll see. But I'm waiting for the
text from the Fireman, being like the first thing she
asked this morning was to watch Frozen.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
She actually liked it. I know, yeah, let it go.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
I'm magic. That was a large heart my life.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah yeah, it was a talent. Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
And she also asked me if I could go on
the internet and order her a.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Ice blonde wig. That's the newest thing. Especial show and
you need to know.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
We got you three things that you need to know
on Boston's Number one for Hip hop and the best throwbacks.
She haven't any more vives.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Take them to to Loom.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
They were about to the Loom tonight on Delta.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Put them on Delta Monday, January twelfth, and that was
to the Chargers.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
The Chargers are officially on vacation in tou Loom on Delta,
says Cardi B. She wasn't there, but of course she
was cheering her man's on from the sidelines. I don't
know where she was, but she was not at Chalotte Stadium.
Maybe she was rehearsing for a tour that would make.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
The most whole first half. I'm like, where is this chick?
Speaker 2 (06:36):
But she was very excited to post post game that
the Chargers are now on vacation, which they are in
to Loom.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Pass got the job done sixteen to three.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Like I said that first half three three, a whole
lot of defense.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
The fireman and I were kind of like, this is bar. Yeah,
it wasn't fun to watch the first half. The offense
was a little sus.
Speaker 3 (06:57):
Yeah, like Drake wasn't playing his best and I rather
have him get it out now than that.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, he was running around though. Yeah, it's it's really
He's fun to watch.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
He has fun to watch, and it makes me nervous
when he runs on my side.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Fine, I know me too, but you know you don't
always see quarterbacks that are able to do that, or
want to do that, or willing to do that.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
And he's all over.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
The place out there, compared to the famous one we
had here for twenty years, and that man perfected the
slide because he was barely running anyway.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
But anyways, it was exciting, it was fun.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Games over Mike rabel Oh here getting a bloody lip
during a selly Well.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
We talked to him about being willing to spill some
blood out there and that the big dogs come out
in January, and I think mill took that to heart.
And the way that he played the game and where
he finished the game and he came over and you know,
got me pretty good.
Speaker 8 (07:49):
But you know that's what happens.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
I love this dude, man, I really I love the
intensity like he's getting after the refs, like he's up
and down on those sidelines, he's cheering people on.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
I mean, listen to his locker room speech.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
Okay, but I want to tell you this.
Speaker 9 (08:04):
We're a team, okay, and we're gonna do this thing
together and everybody here is a part of it, Okay.
And what we're gonna do is we're gonna figure out
who we play next, and we're gonna prepare and we're
gonna get healthy. Pick up the pieces, give you a
plan and go enjoy it. Say, because what you guys
have done is you believe and you trusted in the identity,
and this is all for you.
Speaker 10 (08:24):
We believe that we trusted in the Idea's a good
one game. Yeah, yeah, there you got middle school is
believe in your identity.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Okay, TVD on who we're playing.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
We're gonna find out tonight winner of the Texans and
Steelers game. Obviously the game will be Sunday. We don't
know what time yet either.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
I don't want to predict this, but I feel like
next Sunday will be a win. I don't know if
it's gonna be hard, if it easy, but I definitely
think the Patriots can get by next week for sure.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Well, there you have it.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
This isn't the Sports Hub, but that's he for sure
thinks they can get by.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Should I take that back? I don't know. Game they
might lose, yes.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Yes, don't chase us the wind for the Patriots was glorious.
But you know what brought me even more happiness, Timothy
shall Amy.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
Winning at the Gold Globes out A lot of that.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I had to flick back and forth. I was like,
will Kylie be there? I knew she would because she
was prepping all day. She was doing the thing where
you put your face in ice water to prep her
cell for her. Look. Now they did not walk the
red carpet together, but nonetheless she showed up a lot
of kissing, a lot of like slow.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Kissing, quick pecks. I love yous just brings me such
a joys.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
She's pretty, she really is.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
She's stunning, and it's so crazy to see. Somebody did
like a breakdown of Kylie attending these award shows with Timmy,
and it's like it dates back like twenty twenty four.
They were there twenty twenty five, and they really have
been together a lot longer than you would think.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
Yeah, for real. And I think the extra step with
them in his death, they're making a public in the
sense of like he's mentioning her when he does his speeches.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
And he does and he throws in but he keeps saying,
my partner. It just I don't. It's giving.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
I don't know, like they do want to say, like
my fiance or my wife or sorry all my girlfriend.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
My girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yeah, but partner is given to me, like you're never
marrying her and this is just what it is, your
partners in life.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Yeah, that could be, but at least like he's acknowledging her.
That's like a huge thing.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
No, it is.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
But of course it's not just about Timmy shallow May
at the Globes last night, for me it was, but
for everyone else. Nicki Glazer returning to host, she's so funny.
She had a couple hilarious jokes, one of which easy
target against Leo.
Speaker 11 (10:40):
Leonardo DiCaprio is here for one man but after another.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
What a career you've had.
Speaker 11 (10:44):
I mean, countless iconic performances, You've worked with every great director,
You've won three Golden Globes in Oscar, and the most
impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all
of that before your girlfriend turned thirty.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
I mean, it's just insane. I'm sorry I made that joke.
It's cheap, you know what. I tried not to, But like,
we don't know.
Speaker 11 (11:03):
Anything else about you, man, Like there's nothing else.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Like open up. I searched.
Speaker 11 (11:08):
The most in depth interview you've ever given was in
Teenbeat magazine in nineteen ninety one. Is your favorite food
still pasta? Pasta and more pasta?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Look it up?
Speaker 4 (11:19):
That's real.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
It's I mean, it's true. It's like, what other joke
are we coming at Leo with?
Speaker 3 (11:24):
I mean, you really can't make anything because of the thing.
You don't know anything. I watch her monologue like it
like it was good, not like earth shattering, but it
was good. It was funny, it was it.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Was the layup, you know, going after people with the
layup jokes that you knew were coming.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
And it was somewhat safe considering like the way she
could have gone right. You know, it's good for sure.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Hammett and One Battle after Another took home the top
movie prizes, the Pits and the Studio one for best
Shows on TV obviously to me Salome for Marty Supreme.
Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical, Another big one
cinematic in box office achievement went to Centers which I
have to watch Centers and how much I love it,
and a little tie into home best podcast, The Good
(12:06):
Hang with Amy Poehler.
Speaker 12 (12:08):
This is an attempt to try to make a very
rough and unkind world fill with a little bit more
love and laughter and laughing with people, not at them,
And we just have such a good time making it.
And thank you so much for letting us make more
Archie and able. I love you, Mom and dad.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
You can watch the Patriots now, thank you good night.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
They were like, we'll put it on like but as
soon as your awards over, we're back to the Pats.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
So she has to be local.
Speaker 8 (12:33):
She is.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
She's so my correctly, I might be like Burlington or
something like that. Okay's back in the day where their
acts and she was really nice. We talked about boss.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
She's hilarious. I love her all right.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
And lastly, Fetti Wap speaking on his time behind bars,
This one kind of shocked me. I mean, I guess
in a sense of I didn't know that their relationship
was this strong. But he didn an interview with the
Breakfast Club and they asked him about like his time
and who kind of stood by him during that time,
and he was like, oh that's easy.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Fifty cent Fiddy did a lot for me from day one.
Speaker 13 (13:06):
It was like he reached out like, Yo, whatever you need,
just holler at me, and I'm like A right, And
then it was like where is money going?
Speaker 8 (13:13):
I like what you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 3 (13:15):
I used to that I'm used to.
Speaker 8 (13:16):
It's always the other way around.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
It was.
Speaker 13 (13:18):
It was nothing like hey, whatever I needed, he was
right there, Like he answered the phone.
Speaker 8 (13:22):
He didn't show you off.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 13 (13:23):
All the way down to the time I'm about to
come home, he SAYO, how you getting home?
Speaker 8 (13:27):
And stuff like that.
Speaker 13 (13:28):
As far as as far as financial mental help, he
was probably there the biggest.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
That's crazy, how are you getting home? You know, like
really checking in on him.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Do you think fifty was like, hey, Fetti, keep your
eye on the prize, you know, like the goal at
the end of it.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
Right, speaking of jokes being cheap, you know, all right,
there's free things you need to know for Monday in
January the twelfth. Make sure when you listen on the app,
because I know a lot of you guys, do you
add Jim and as your number one preset And of
course you can call us this morning one seven, nine,
three one five to join the show, or while you're
on the app, you can hit that little red talk
(14:05):
back button and say whatever.
Speaker 5 (14:10):
Boston's number one for hip hop jam in ninety four five.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
I'm dedicating this conversation to our guy DJ Forn because
how many times would Foren be like Ash, you must
and and by the way, I'm gonna say it, and
my dms are gonna blow up again because every time
it's mentioned, every singular time, people are like, no, he's
so so accurate with that statement. Forren used to tell
(14:37):
us that the best steak and cheese come from the
Market Basket.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
And I think he used to go to the one
in Manchester right off the Highway there and he used
to love it. He's he he talked about that thing
like he was like Jesus Christ melts in your mouth.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
And honestly, when he would I would be like stop
and no, and people would hit me up, like Ash,
let me tell you something. The Market Basket steak and
cheese's bomb. And I feel like AJ has said, the cake.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Is oh, the cake cake is yeah, Like I'll vouch
for her, Yeah, the cake is good.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
So Market Basket has had a lot of drama.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Right now currently. The CEO was ousted last year and
the sisters are like, yeah, bye.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
See it later. They don't care. That family is ft.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
It really is that because I think back in twenty
fifteen they got rid of him and then market basket
workers went on strike for like for weeks, and I
remember passing by the basket and the thing was completely
closed and they were just outside picketing.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
So it seemed when they ousted, Arthur t already said. See,
the people that actually worked at the basket were upset.
They loved him because it seemed like he fought for them.
He gives my verabel energy, like he cared about his people,
his players.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
Yeah, And if you ask the people who are there,
they were like they spend their entire lives there because
the benefits are so good. He took care of them.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
All and all that specifically what they say from the
basket to the cask, from the basket to the casket,
because we get in trouble for saying that once, don't
They don't.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
They don't want that to be No.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
I think they love that anybody else and understand that.
But they work there for so long because it's so
good that you just die.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
We've also had like after Tuesday and then you die,
it's gone.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Well, one thing I know about market Basket. I don't
shop there personally because I don't the one. I don't
have one in my town. But the people that work
there on their name tag have how many years they
You might roll up on Betty who's worked there for
fifty years.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Yeah, and like loved it is so happy, loves that eat,
you know. But one thing I do have to say,
if you go there on a Saturday, like in the morning,
it's hell. It's it's a war zone. It's it's next level,
like your fist fighting to get down the aisles. It's
just crazy.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Market Basket is America's number two grocery store chain, not local,
I said America.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Market Basket got ranked number two in the nation.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
That's actually pretty crazy if you think about it, like
that's huge.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
It says.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
The Twkesbury, mass headquartered supermarket, with nearly one hundred stores
in New England, is runner up in the list of
best grocery retailers compiled by customer data science company done
Humby topping the list. The only grocery store to beat
market Basket is h EB, which is a Texas space change.
Speaker 3 (17:23):
Yeah, and I think a lot of people will assume
that market Basket is Nation. Why it's not. It's just
locally here.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
One hundred hundred stores, and it's really good.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
The prices are absolutely what it is so good about
the prices Okay.
Speaker 3 (17:34):
Yeah, they're just very competitive. And the cake and the
steak and cheese and the cake, and that's another thing.
You can get everything there. Like surprisingly sometimes defind need
a bottle of wine. I go to the Basket because
they have a good selection. Yeah, and like top notch things.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
I'm a star market gal just because it's literally right
up the street for me. But I guess you never
really realize because why would you ever think about it?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
But we all have.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
An affinity to our grocery store, to the one we
go to, because think about it, we can go in
there with the blinders on. I have to roll up
to a grocery store that's not my own. I don't
know the I don't know where the bread is. I
don't know if they keep the little wraps that I
like on the end caps, Like I don't know, you
know what I mean, I don't know where certain things are.
So to me, like I'm a stargirl, I'm a star galley.
(18:18):
But that's my spot you. I can put blindfolds on
in there, and I know where the blueberries are.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
See this is gonna sound like, you know, pretentious, but
I will say that we are the whole food type
that gets the food delivered, but we have to go
in there. Like it's very comfortable for us. Exactly the
point we know where everything is. They just open one
up in a Nashville on the DW. It is absolutely mean.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
It's like it's interesting because I don't know where Whole
Foods fell in the list. I'm surprised, but some other
spots in masks that you could go to that are
on the top twenty. Costco came in at number four.
Costco's away life for a lot of people.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Yeah, but you just don't think of it as food
shopping because it's like, uh commercial, it's.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Big, it's bulk, and that's the thing is I get it,
Like listen, could I buy bulk for toilet paper and
paper towels?
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Absolutely?
Speaker 2 (19:06):
But I don't necessarily want seventy five downs, you know,
like I it's weird, like.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
And then like the peanut butter enough for like three years,
Like I'm good.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Yeah, I don't think you need whatever. But people love
costco Al.
Speaker 3 (19:19):
D I've seen them, but I've never been.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
In me neither Trader Joe's, Wegmans. I love.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
Nice, very nice Walmart. Really, I'm good, but yeah, number
eleven and then BJ's people love.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
People love to buy in bulk. They're just out here
buying in bulk.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
I mean, I understand why you seventy Yeah.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
Oh, my mother in her little storage, she's like a
storage closet in her apartment complex.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
IM like, you have seven hundred batteries in here? What
are you doing with seven hundred double as.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
I can guess? She's single, right, I understand why. I
will never will never getting after that.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
I'm gonna be six six one seven nine three one
one nine four five. And this is, by the way,
I'm not throwing shade by any means, but this is
massive market basket.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
Number two in the nation. Why like why why?
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Because I could drive There's one in Handover so it's
not too far from Marshfield. And I'm like, do I
need to hit this thing up? Am I gonna fuel
something in this store?
Speaker 3 (20:29):
Yeah, you'll won't feel as hard as a hit on
the wallet. I guarantee you.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
You think that people are gonna absol six one seven
nine three one one nine four five six one seven
nine three one one nine four five Number.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Two in the nation is wild? Is it true?
Speaker 2 (20:43):
What they say from the basket to the casket?
Speaker 14 (20:46):
Hi?
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Hi, Hi, everybody, come morning. It's Ashley in the cham
of Morning show. Shout out to market Basket man, because
that's market Basket got ranked the number two grocery store
in the nation.
Speaker 1 (20:59):
And you know, Santy made a good point.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
It's not like you could roll up to another state
and well you could in New England, Yeah, but you're
not gonna be able to travel to a Texas, California
and go to Market Basket like it's super local. And
for them to be ranked number two in the nation
with only one hundred stores is crazy.
Speaker 3 (21:17):
Pretty massive. And I knew the rumor last year was
that the sisters were getting rid of Arthur because they
wanted to sell the entire thing, and that thing is
worth billions.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Every time we talk about Market Basket, it gets brought
up that supposedly they have a cheese steak there that'll
rock your boot rocky what is it, knock your boots
off you whatever that's saying, and it will do something
to you.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
We also know the cake is really good.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Shawna is in the beautiful town, stunning place of Marshfields.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Shawna, which grocery store in Marshfield do you hit?
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Because we could go to Roach nice grocery store, pricey
but super nice, or Star Market, which is where I hit.
Speaker 15 (22:02):
I Star Market is my go to as well. But
I have to say I've started going to market Basket
and I go to the one in Plymouth, and I
have not tried the.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
Steak and cheese. I'm gonna have to try that now.
Speaker 15 (22:15):
But the prices are like half of Star Market.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
No half.
Speaker 15 (22:24):
Well, I mean it's amazing. I every time I leave
market Basket, I'm like if I and like I said,
I love stuck my Star Market.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
But yeah, man, this is I mean, maybe I take
a venture over there one of the like if we
have like a big a big list, no a big
just a big list, like a big you know, because
every once in a while you got to go like
full grocery shopping, not just like filling in the pieces.
Speaker 1 (22:48):
If I have a full list, maybe I'll do this
Shauna and try it. It just you know what it is.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
It's not far but it feels so far because stars
six minutes.
Speaker 15 (22:57):
No, I I agree, No, I totally agree. But like
I said, the one in Plymouth, I just fly right
down Route three and it's it's actually not not too
bad of a ride.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
All right, There you have it. Shout out to Seanna
and Marshfield, thank you for that. For this tidbed, I
might have to hit up. I mean, almost half is crazy,
Like if you're getting almost.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Happy, I don't know if it's almost half, it's a
big chunk.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Clearly it's noticeable enough that she's like, I'm going definitely.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Ken is in Rhode Island.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
Ken, I guess has some inside info on the inner
workings of the market Basket high Ken.
Speaker 16 (23:34):
Good morning, actually morning Zotie.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Number two in the nation for grocery story.
Speaker 16 (23:40):
So what do you got remember way back when my
first job was the bread Ninja.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
I don't remember. What does that mean?
Speaker 17 (23:48):
You do? What?
Speaker 16 (23:49):
I used to call in and tell you guys, I
was delivering bread for Wonder Bread way back.
Speaker 8 (23:53):
But anyway, so we used to go.
Speaker 16 (23:54):
To market Basket and they have if you if you're
familiar with market Basket, they got red vests and blue
when you go in there, the blue vests are for
those that are like regular workers, like laborers, and then
the red vest are for.
Speaker 8 (24:07):
Supervisors inside the areas.
Speaker 16 (24:09):
But before I get crazy into that, you guys have
already hit on the good stuff. The good stuff is
they got some hand squeezed orange juice in there that
is fired. You gotta get it in like they got
special spots for it. It ain't just where the orange
juice is, but so they separate the aisles big enough
so that you can put a palette down and people
can get by.
Speaker 8 (24:28):
That's the convenience for the store.
Speaker 16 (24:30):
But when you're in there, if there's any drama, you'll
see a whole bunch of red vests circling a blue vest.
That means the guy in the blue vest he's in trouble.
But it's very strict in there. The guy that's the
store manager for market Basket, he is like the all
time god for whoever works in Arket Basket for that store.
(24:50):
When he comes through, he's picking everything. He's picking if
there's something that's not front faced on the shelf, he's
making you a front shelf fet Like everything's getting cleaned.
Speaker 8 (25:00):
It is very very strict in market Basket so if I.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Have like a question or I have a concern or
I need help.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
I mean, I'm looking for a red vest like that
gets you want somebody at the want got it interesting?
Speaker 3 (25:13):
All right?
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Ken?
Speaker 1 (25:13):
Well, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (25:14):
Ken.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
By the way, uh has served some time.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
Yeah, you you were locked up for a little bit,
got out.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Did you hit the basket up as your store when
you got out?
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Was that? Did you go right back to the basket?
Is it true what they say from the from the
basket to the casket, from jail to the casket.
Speaker 16 (25:30):
So so the basket has some fire.
Speaker 8 (25:34):
Pre pre made food, I gotta say.
Speaker 16 (25:35):
But they were part of the route and we had
the market basket in Johnston and the market Basket in Warwick,
Rode Island, and everything was good. The only thing is
is there's a market basket right over one ninety five
and I had that on a route and I got
rolled up a couple of times from delivering there. But
you know the guys that like, you know, it's just
market Basket's a good store, you know what I mean?
Speaker 8 (25:58):
It really is a good store.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
You have date. It was in Rhode Island too, which
is super nice. Ken, Thank you so much. For the call.
Sam is in Carver.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Sam, let's say you're you're agreeing number two in the nation.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Why do you why do you say it? Why do
you believe it?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
All?
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Right?
Speaker 18 (26:15):
Well, first of all, my daughter works there in customer
service and plymouth, so wow, that so.
Speaker 8 (26:21):
The one.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Interesting.
Speaker 18 (26:25):
Yes, it's the best store. They have the best hot food.
You get like subs for six dollars, like large subs
with anything you want on it for six dollars, and
it's the best. The steak and cheese of bombs okay,
and yes, the orange juice and all the bakery. Everything
is like everything is so good there and it's so cheap.
They're the best deli. You have to go there.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
No, Like I'm telling you, it's it's every time we
talk about this grocery store, it's it always gets sold
to me. I I know I need to try it, Sam,
thank you for the call. The people that go to
the basket, they love it. Like again, I love my
local grocery store, but I'm not running around telling people
to go there. There's something about the market Basket that's
special for people.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
When my son, I forget how old he was, we
got a cake from there. They spelt birthday wrong.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
A fun fact for you. A J used to work
at market baskets.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Correct, Oh, it's stopping stop.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
They forgot the R.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
Birthday, so it was happy birthday. But the really.
Speaker 5 (27:32):
Especial show when you need to know, we got you
three things you need to know on Boston's number one
for hip hop and the best throwbags.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
She haven't any more vibes.
Speaker 6 (27:43):
That's what I'm talking about. That's what Take them to
to Loom. They want to go to the Loom tonight
on Delta. Put them on Delta.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
She gotta hate on Delta like that on Delta.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Yeah, I know, like Delta's fine.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
She should be like, send them to the Loom on spare.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Yeah, now that's a Monday.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Jan twelfth.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
If that was Cardi celebrating the big Pats win overnight saying,
you know what, the Chargers they're on their way on
vacation to Tuloom on Spirit.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
We gotta talk to her. We'll give her that joke.
But yeah, the Pat's got the job done. It was
late people.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
Sixteen to three was the final against the Chargers, three
three at half A lot of defense, a little boring, Well,
who cares, I'll take boring as long as we win.
Speaker 8 (28:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Then also, Drake didn't play his best game. I'd rather
have him do that this weekend than next weekend.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
So running around though, love seeing that man is just
running a round. He will do whatever he has to
do to advance. And we've seen it before.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
It I'm brady.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
There are some quarterbacks who are like, I'm not running,
I'm staying right the hell here.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
I love seeing that.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
I also just love the coach that Mike Rabel is.
It's I mean that man's speaking of being all over
the place. He's running up and down the sidelines. He's
harassing the rest. He's a players coach. They love playing
for him, and so much excitement, so much excitement that
during a celebration act the game, man got a bloody
lit well.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
We talked to him about being willing to spill some
blood out there and that the big dogs come out
in January, and I think Milt took that to heart
and the way that he played the game and where
he finished the game and he came over and you know,
got me pretty good.
Speaker 8 (29:16):
But you know, that's what happens.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
That's what happens. It's playoff time. I have never seen more.
I love Drake may t shirts in my life. They're everywhere,
just as iHeart Drake May.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
The people of New England have a new god.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Okay, yeah, and I think it's because this season he's
been winning. But if we don't win the super Bowl
then it's just going to be like lacklust because because
you think back to Tom, Tom won us six of them.
So I think we need to win the super Bowls
before we fall in love with Drake completely.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
We're seeing a ton of his wife as well.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
You see the picture of her in a bikini.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
No I.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
They asked her in the getting of the game, like
to you, like, what does he like to eat?
Speaker 1 (29:56):
What's his favorite? Like what do you cook? And she's like,
he's just old school.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
He's really easy, Like he looks a spaghetti in a
chicken caesar salad.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
I'm like, I love him. I just I love it
so much. Here he is after the game. Yeah, it
wasn't pretty, that's for sure. But this defense was so
fun to watch.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
No caress them it.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
It was so fun to watch they they won.
Speaker 8 (30:13):
The game for uce.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
I didn't throw over well to night, No need to
be better, very sure.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
The d was shining last night TBD on who they're
gonna play next. It's gonna be the winner of the
Texans and Steelers game tonight we'll find out. I'll give
you the details tomorrow, but it will be a Sunday game, obviously,
what time we shall see. It's gonna be another late one.
You just know it, think so you just know it.
But it be on Saturday too, potentially could be, but
I think I'm fairly certain. They said it'll be Sunday,
(30:39):
so we youn't see.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Golden globes were on last night.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
Nikki Glazer returned to host in fact that I were saying.
I watched her full monologue as well, and you know,
a lot of the layoff jokes, the ones we knew
were gonna come, but nonetheless still funny.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Here she is making fun of the Rock and Kevin Hart.
Speaker 11 (30:55):
Kevin Hart is here The Rocks plus one half.
Speaker 1 (30:58):
Love you, Kevin.
Speaker 11 (30:59):
Kevin that is obviously nominated for his hilarious stand up
special tonight.
Speaker 4 (31:02):
I love you so much, Kevin.
Speaker 11 (31:03):
You're so funny, and you and the Rock together are
like my favorite comedy duo. I just you're like a
Steve Martin and Martin Short but for like people under
fifty IQ, you know what I mean, Like we need
movies too, Jumanji next level?
Speaker 18 (31:19):
Was it?
Speaker 2 (31:20):
I'm just saying, Leo obviously never safe. We know the joke,
and she makes a really good point at the end.
Speaker 11 (31:27):
Leonardo DiCaprio is here for one man, but after another.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
What a career you've had.
Speaker 11 (31:32):
I mean, countless iconic performances, You've worked with every great director,
You've won three Golden Globes in Oscar, and the most
impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all
of that before your girlfriend turned thirty.
Speaker 4 (31:44):
I mean, it's just insane. I'm sorry I made that joke.
Speaker 1 (31:47):
It's cheap, you know what.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
I tried not to. But like, we don't know anything else.
Speaker 11 (31:52):
About you, man, Like there's nothing else like open up.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
I searched.
Speaker 11 (31:56):
The most in depth interview you've ever given was in
teen Beat magazine in nineteen ninety one.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
Is your favorite food still pasta?
Speaker 11 (32:03):
Pasta and more pasta?
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Look it up? That's real?
Speaker 1 (32:09):
I mean, yeah, what else is she going to make
fun of? Climate change? He's invested in.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
That pretty consistent. He dates girls in his twenties.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Yeah, he likes what he likes. Yeah, some big, big
winners last night.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Hammett and obviously Leo's One Battle after Another took home
Top movie prizes. The Pit and the Studio won for
Best Shows on TV My Best Actor in a Comedy
or Musical Timmy Shallome for Marty Supreme.
Speaker 17 (32:34):
The amazing cast of this film, Odessa Zion, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler,
the creator of Fran Dresher, Kevin O'Leary. If you would
have told me when I was nineteen years old, I'd
be thinking, mister Wonderful from Shark Tank.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
All right, you're laughing. So I got away with that,
Thank you, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, he of course had a date Kylie Jenner. They
didn't walk the red carpet together by a lot of
PDA during the show.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
So fun.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Cinematic and box office achievement the winner with Sinners.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
You loved it.
Speaker 3 (33:04):
I need to see it.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
I have to.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
There's a scene in that film where it's two of
them because he plays twins, and they're handing a cigarette
back and forth to each other. It is absolutely amazing, lawless,
it's flawless, It's perfect.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
Best Podcast winner went to local Amy Pohler for The
Good Hang with Amy Pohler.
Speaker 12 (33:21):
This is an attempt to try to make a very
rough and unkind world fill with a little bit more
love and laughter and laughing with people, not at them,
And we just have such a good time making it.
And thank you so much for letting us make more
Archie enable. I love you, Mom and dad.
Speaker 1 (33:38):

the same time because.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
I thought it. I certainly did.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
Tayana Taylor also winning her first Golden Globe for Best
Supporting Actress in Emotion Picture for her role in One
Battle after another.
Speaker 14 (33:53):
Oh my god, I almost didn't even write a speech.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
Oh babies, my babies.
Speaker 14 (34:02):
It upstands watching y'all better be off them damn phones
and watching me right now, to my brown sisters and
little brown girls watching tonight. Our sulkness is not a liability.
Our death is not that it's not too much. Our
light does not need permission to shine.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
We belong in every room we walk into.
Speaker 14 (34:21):
Our voices matter, and our dreams deserve space.
Speaker 1 (34:24):
Thank you so much, everybody. I love it.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
When she first walked up there, she turned around to
show everybody in the back of her dress. She's like,
look at that, give these little details on my dress.
I'll be honest with you, it doesn't happen to me often.
I started one battle after another. I put it on,
it was on my TV screen.
Speaker 1 (34:42):
I couldn't get into it.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
What is it about it? Because the PTA films are
really like you either get them or you don't get them.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Maybe it felt gimmicky to me.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Okay, I just I gotta go back. Clearly, I mean
it was a massive winter Lize's the.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
Same thing with Boogie Nights because he directed that to
you Either understand it and you're fine with it, or
you like this stupid?
Speaker 1 (35:00):
What does that mean? I have a feeble mind? But
I was just like you either I feel like I.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
Understand films are the same thing. Either there you're okay
with it or you just don't like it.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
Well, he rewrites history sometimes in his.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
But still, but there's an element to it that it's
just very specific. You either like it or you don't.
It's like a flavor of ice cream. It's that person.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
Why do you think he's like, you're too feeble minded
to understand the film?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
With it?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
I under didn't say what you wind all right.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
And lastly a lot of people were talking about this
this moment when viral Fetti Wop talking about the person
who pretty much wrote for him the entire time that
he was in jail. I just I guess I was
shocked because I didn't know they had such a tight relationship.
But Feeddi Wap said fifty cent was by his side
the entire time during incarceration.
Speaker 1 (35:47):
It did a lot for me. From day one.
Speaker 13 (35:50):
It was like he reached out like yo, whatever you
need to just holler at me, and I'm like and
then it was like where is money going? Like what
I used to that is always the other way around
it was. It was nothing like hey, whatever I needed,
he was right there, Like he answered the phone.
Speaker 8 (36:05):
He didn't show you off.
Speaker 13 (36:06):
You know what I'm saying. All the way down to
the time I'm about to come home, he how you
getting home?
Speaker 3 (36:11):
And stuff like that.
Speaker 13 (36:12):
As far as as far as financial mental help, he
was probably there the biggest.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
That's amazing. I mean even asking him like how are
you getting home? You need to ride, I'll pick you up.
Crazy Curtis man, you know he has your back. He does,
and you certainly don't want to be on his bad
side Beetti, by the way, was released from prison Thursday
of last week, eleven months ahead of his expected a
release date. That is three things need to know for Monday,
January the twelfth. Multiple ways to access the show obviously,
you can call which I Love six one seven, nine
(36:38):
three one one nine four five, or even simpler if
you're listening now via the app, hit that little red
microphone and say what up?
Speaker 8 (36:44):
I want to do in the jam In Morning show.
Good morning?
Speaker 5 (36:47):
Oh, Bastin's number one for hip hop he am in
ninety four five.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Hi, everybody, good morning. We're doing the check in now,
so we're checking in on you.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
What's up? How are you?
Speaker 2 (36:59):
What's going on? What happened over the weekend? Do you
have a story to tell me? Do you want to
just call and say what up? Do you want to
complain anything you want? It's all about you, your life,
your world six one seven, nine, three one one nine
four five six one seven nine three one one nine
four five. Here's a question that I don't or demand
(37:20):
that I don't hear often.
Speaker 19 (37:22):
For twenty twenty six, can you guys bring back the
jam scam please? I'm miss listening to y'all scam people
in the morning.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
Absolutely not Yeah, no, I'm good.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
I hated doing them. There's a fun fact for you.
I hated hated them.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
And like, I don't want to this come out the
wrong way, but I feel like that's like an old
school thing too. I feel like radio and media and
everything has evolved beyond that.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
I like so much gimmicky, and there's so many legalities
behind it. Guys, like you can't just cold call somebody anymore.
I would have like, we would have to give them
a disclaimer, like this audio is being recorded and then
they're gonna know that.
Speaker 3 (38:00):
And then if you call like fifty people, maybe two
of those things would actually work. So it became like
a headache too. That's a whole other thing.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
But they just felt like not me yet. Yeah, And
by the way, it got to the point.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
Where I was the only one that our boss wanted to, yeah,
to do them, So it became like crazy for me.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
I was just like, what you.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
Should tell the story about when we got in trouble,
like back in the day for it, the one that
you did that was like I never would have thought
that this one would have got Yeah, it would have
been like an issue.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
I jam scammed a woman once who was like cat obsessed.
Like the like the way these used to work is
like we'd get scenarios from people and long story short,
I killed this woman's cat. I like, I don't even remember.
Did I like pretend to back in, back up, and I.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Don't remember what the situation was. The end result the
cat was dead.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
Yeah, Like I killed the cat and the cat was dead,
and I wasn't serious about it, Like I was like,
who cares, It's just a cat type of vibe or something.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I think, But I don't think you actually killed it.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
I think the cat died, okay in some scenario, right, Yeah,
the cat.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Was definitely dead.
Speaker 2 (39:10):
Yeah, And yeah, I got in a lot of trouble
for that one, like like I got talking to I
got sat down, and I'm like, I don't.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
What, Like I feel like they were other ones that
were ten times worse and ten.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Times worse because there was like, hey, there were fair ones,
like there were.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
You know which one I did? One time I told
the lady and this was that I don't know what
family member called in and thought that this was a
good idea. And at the time, I'm like, yeah, that's funny.
So let's do it. So we called this person called
the lady, and told her that her IVF that we switch.
We put the wrong sperm in throng.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Oh yeah, my god. Yeah yeah like that that is
see running over Fluffy the cat like comparison.
Speaker 2 (39:53):
No, I got sat down, I got a talking to station,
got like multiple complaints. I was like, dude, I'm good
with this. I don't even come up with the things
like I'm all set. You know, it's like talk brothers.
Speaker 1 (40:05):
I would be rot I would be sad if they
were like, you have to do it.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
Just it never felt like a me type thing, like,
to be honest, it was Ramiro's thing, and and then
Ramiro coined it.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
It was Ramiro's thing.
Speaker 2 (40:15):
And then when I started doing I think I even
when I was on with Romeiro, I did a couple
here and there, and then.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
Eventually it became like my thing. And I just like
I'm good.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
I'm not Julia Roberts like I rest in peace though,
yeah right yeah to that cat.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
Yeah, oh no, I mean I met the jam.
Speaker 2 (40:34):
The cat was actually alive. The cat was the cat
was good, you guys. Six one seven nine three one
one nine four five. That a six one seven nine
three one one nine four five.
Speaker 1 (40:45):
I call it taking a back seat to you. What
are you doing? How are you doing?
Speaker 2 (40:49):
You call me and you tell me what we're talking about.
Six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
It's the check in only on jam Arty four five.
I almost just said it's the jam scams.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
It was very close.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Hi, everybod, good morning, it's Ashley the gym in morning show.
Go Pats baby, Hope you had a great weekend.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
What are you doing? How are you doing? Call us?
We're talking about whatever you want. Six one seven nine
three one one nine four five. TV and Karen are.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
On the bus and they want to give a shout
out to their bus driver. I don't know if sid
of she'd even be able to turn the radio down,
because she probably doesn't even.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Know that this is happening. Guys, who's your bus driver?
Speaker 18 (41:28):
Her name?
Speaker 2 (41:28):
Don't listen to driver missus driver wow, specific don't listen
to what you're hearing in the bus.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Just listen to me so there's no delay. Why is
she the best bus driver?
Speaker 2 (41:39):
I don't know how.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
Karen. I can't do it. I can't do it. I
can't I can't miss bus driver.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
If you're listening, they seem to just want to get
on the air and not even like they don't even
know her name, like her name.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
Me and my my friend had a whole heart to
heart about putting the kids on the bus and how
hard that will be. Now that won't happen until September
of twenty twenty seven for me, just timeline wise. But
you're putting your your child in the hands of this
random person who's driving your bus that you know nothing about,
(42:20):
and it is horrifying for me to think about.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
And this is why we always get our bus driver
like a nice little gift around the holidays with bonus.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
I'm gonna get a rola blanket. Really lock in, really
lock in.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
All right, we're gonna do another talk backus.
Speaker 8 (42:38):
Mhm, no appen, We're gone. An expore is going on
that day.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
Last week we talked about aj Uh going on a
date and she was like, yeah, I'm going on a
date with this man.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
He's Haitian.
Speaker 2 (42:55):
And then the phone lines went crazy of people warning
her against Haitian men, and I've felt so bad, so
I said, listen, if you're a Haitian man, like you
need to call it.
Speaker 8 (43:02):
This is it right?
Speaker 1 (43:03):
We had a couple calling girls like I'm married to
a Haitian man. I love him.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
He said, it's going to be fine, it's going to
be great. So you had this first date, you went
to tavern in the Square. If I don't reference the
date early on in the show, just know that that's
my tip to you that it did not go well.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
But I'll let AJ take it away. Will there be
a date number two?
Speaker 20 (43:23):
There will not be a date number two, and no
one is shocked zero zero point zero people are shocked
in when.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
Do they ever go well? Though? Really, if you think
about it, yeah, you're right.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
We haven't had many that did.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
Two things from this date that stood out to you
as to why there won't be no date number two,
I mean.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
There just wasn't a connection there. There was a lot
of times where we just didn't talk at all in silence,
so funny, yeah, like I.
Speaker 20 (43:52):
Don't really watch basketball games, but like that's what we did.
He was really so sweet, a very nice guy. But
you know he's just not the guy for me.
Speaker 3 (44:02):
That's all you guess said.
Speaker 1 (44:04):
So there wasn't one specific thing. It just you didn't
you were feeling it.
Speaker 18 (44:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 20 (44:08):
I mean, well, there is a little bit of a
language barrier too, so I think that was at.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
She said. She spent a lot of the time saying
what yeah, and I feel so bad.
Speaker 20 (44:19):
It was also loud in there, but you know, English
is not his first language, and you know, I think
the accent was just like tough for me.
Speaker 8 (44:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:27):
If you can't communicate like that, then you're not going
to get to know a persons like I completely like
understand that.
Speaker 2 (44:31):
And the best is she's telling me this morning and
she's like, yeah, so I'm not really into it and
I don't think that, you know, I don't want to
see him again. And I'm like, oh, well, did you
tell him? And she's like, well, no, he didn't reach
out to me either. I'm like, oka, so you guys both.
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Felt it.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
Up.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
He felt it too. We're good. You know, no love
lost here.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
Yeah, so how would you tell him? He want to
understand you and you want to understand.
Speaker 20 (44:52):
Him, so he understands yeah, yeah, actually does have very
good English, especially when he was like when we were texting,
like because English was perfect, I just had a hard
time understanding.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
She's aid.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
At one point, he has a kid and they were
talking about the kid, and she's like, Oh, what's your
kid's name?
Speaker 1 (45:10):
And she goes, I had no idea what he said,
so I was like, Oh, that's so cute. He really
was like a genuinely nice guy.
Speaker 3 (45:18):
It seems like I gotta imagine that people must run
into this more often too. I feel like they must
Google translate taxa on a date or something.
Speaker 8 (45:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
Yeah, well, listen, there's someone for everyone. Hell find person.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
Yes six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Phones going crazy, Guys, hang on the line six one
seven nine three one one nine four five.
Speaker 1 (45:41):

Speaker 8 (46:30):

Speaker 2 (46:36):
The love that for all of us. Now, who are

Speaker 8 (46:45):

Speaker 1 (46:47):
M hmm. What are you guys doing at this early hour?
Speaker 8 (46:53):
Where where at Savannah manor Sarah don't don't live.
Speaker 1 (47:02):
For got it? Okay, So you're nice, slop yourself all right.
Speaker 2 (47:08):
So you guys are at an adult living facility there
in Florida listening to jam and and you are trying
to win that one thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Well we're getting closer. We're gonna do that at nine am,
nine am, car again at nine call again around. Well, no,
it's it. So here's how we're going to do it.
You keep listening to the show. At nine am, you're
going to hear a keyword. It'll be my voice.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
I'm Ashley, and I'll say like entered dog at jamm
a ninety four to five dot com or on the app.
And you're already listening on the app, so you're you're perfect.
So just at nine am, listening for that keyword and
text it.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
On either app.
Speaker 8 (47:42):
Oh, I don't know, I don't know. Okay, my phone,
there's your phone?
Speaker 1 (47:47):
All right, Well that's okay. You could go to the website.
You got a computer in there. They supply computers for
you guys.
Speaker 18 (47:53):
No, damn.
Speaker 8 (47:59):
A hell.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
Well if you listen, if you have the app, which
you do, you can do it right there on the app.
You'll figure it out. Nathaniel, Hey, thanks so much for
choosing us. I know listen, you're in Florida, you're on
the app. You could listen to anybody.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Thank you for Thank you, all right, buddy, Hey, quick
to joke. I got that one wrong, Quick to the joke. Yeah,
I was drinking.
Speaker 3 (48:25):
That's my bad.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Guys, you know yeah, yeah, we all make mistakes. You
gotta shoot and you know.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Yeah, hey, at least I admit when I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
Right for sure? Was not drinking, Yeah, one hundred percent
not drinking. What do you want to do?
Speaker 8 (48:39):
Play?
Speaker 3 (48:39):
I don't even know what's up on this case.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
So we have people wanting to ask more about a
jay's day. Shout out to another bus driver.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Let's play a song.
Speaker 1 (48:47):
Okay, we'll play a song. Santhis n't comfortable by listen,
we make people.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
Were mistakes six one seven, nine three one one four
five six one seven nine three one one nine four five.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
We are talking about whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Since the check in, I'm still with that a misjoke,
but anyways, let's try to move on. Let's let's do
our best, because people make mistakes out here. Six one seven,
nine three one one nine four five six one seven
nine three one one nine four five. You're gonna want
to catch up on the podcast for that. We're not
going back, We're not gonna double down. But in the
(49:24):
main time another question.
Speaker 20 (49:27):
Hey, so you guys were questioning why Cardi b would
say Delta instead of something like Spirit.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
I think Delta is the airline that was like.
Speaker 8 (49:40):
Crashing a lot when all those planes were crashing.
Speaker 1 (49:43):
So maybe that's why it.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Wasn't because the American flight is the one that hit
the helicopter.
Speaker 1 (49:48):
Right now, she Cardi messed up. Let's she should have
said Spirit. It's fun.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
But in Cardi's defense, when was the last time she
flew commercial? Probably never?
Speaker 1 (49:56):
No, she's on the piece today. I just listen. I
just love that she was watching and she was supporting.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
That's that.
Speaker 19 (50:05):
Okay, I hope I didn't miss it, but I really
need an update on your Ashley's dad girlfriend and the
drama that ensued with that. Are they still together to
this day? Has there been any more talk of it?
I really I really need an update.
Speaker 2 (50:23):
This keeps me up at night. I love that it
keeps you up, and to be honest, it kind of
keeps me up at night too. I had a combo
with my brother the other day and he's like, we
just have to like he's a grown up and we
just have to like let go and whatever happens happened.
So the update is, if you don't remember, I posted
a photo of myself, one of my best friends, and
my dad. We were out to dinner. His girlfriend snapped
(50:45):
like she she dumped him over it. Of course it
was for attention and she ended up like taking him back,
so she ruined his Christmas Eve for no reason.
Speaker 1 (50:56):
But anyways, they're back together and they're going strong. I guess, but.
Speaker 2 (51:02):
I think I said this on air. I'm having this
weird like feeling because she will text me from his phone.
If I send a photo of one of my kids
to my dad in a private text, she will respond
and It just doesn't make me feel good. I feel
like I don't have any like private line of communication
(51:22):
with him, not that I have anything secret to tell
him that I wouldn't be comfortable with her hearing. But
that's not the point. I don't think that that's right.
I don't think that I should be texting him and
her responding.
Speaker 1 (51:34):
But I also don't want to say anything.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Because the way my dad operates is this is how
the conversation will go.
Speaker 10 (51:43):
Me.
Speaker 1 (51:44):
Hey, Dad, you know I'll be honest with you. I
like when I text you, I don't really love Okay.
I was directed not to say her name, so I
just said yeah, like that was by both of them.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
That was a big stipulation. So I just dumped myself.
Remember her husband passed away.
Speaker 3 (52:02):
Yes, okay, now I understand.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
Yeah, so anyways, let's go back.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Let's backtrack, because I just had to dump my own
self because that was the one stipulation that I'm not
to say her name, and I said it, So we
got we're getting rid of that. But my body, I'm
sweating now. Anyways, conversation, if I were to ask my
dad about this or tell him, it makes me uncomfortable
meet to my dad, Dad, Hey, I'd like to talk
to you. I don't want to feel like someone's reading
our conversation. I'd like to speak to you privately. My
(52:27):
dad will go okay, and then he would go to
his girlfriend and be like, yo ah, ash call. She
don't want you responding from my phone, so like, stay
out of my phone, And that's how the combo would go.
And he would think that that was the right thing.
But then what would she think that I'm talking bad
about her? She and I don't want her to see,
so I have to be very careful how I say this.
I'm kind of waiting for him to come up here
(52:48):
so we can have a little one on one.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
Chat about it.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
But he's already, you guys telling me he wants to
come up for the super Bowl and bring her.
Speaker 3 (52:55):
Oh yeah, So what if you texted him how you
really felt, but told him kind of how to operate,
how to take that follower that follower text though, why
because she's gonna read it, but at least she's reading
how you feel, and then he's and then if she doesn't,
you're also telling him, don't go and tell her something.
If you want to explain to her, be completely fine, but.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Tell she reads the text, she's going to read like, hey, Dad,
I feel a type of way about this.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
No, No, I don't think so. And you can write
in there. This isn't about like talking behind her back.
I just want to be able to have a community
communication with my dad and just that privately.
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Yeah, but I feel like she'll be like, well, why
can't I know?
Speaker 8 (53:32):
Like what is it?
Speaker 3 (53:33):
But by the way, I I mean she should understand.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
She should.
Speaker 2 (53:35):
I don't think that that's a crazy ask. I just
feel so strange sometimes when I text him and it's
her response, I think you have a valid point here.
I think this is a major problem. It's almost like
a thing that I'm very I'm playing very careful with this,
Like my friends are like, you're unrecognizable in this whole thing,
and you know it's he's happy, and I really don't
want to mess that up for him. I Also, I've
(53:56):
said this so many times. I have boots on the ground.
She goes to the doctor's appointments. We've had a couple
of health scares with him. It's nice to know that
there's somebody there.
Speaker 1 (54:04):
But you know, there's something about this whole thing that
makes me feel weird.
Speaker 2 (54:08):
They did a drop off the other day where they
dropped off my dad's dog to his ex and the
dog had kiss marks all over it and the ex
was like, why are they're like red marks all over
the dog and my dad was like, oh, my girlfriend
kissed the dog, so she would you know, know that
she was missed?
Speaker 8 (54:26):
Well?
Speaker 1 (54:27):
What like, to me, that's claiming stake, that's like aiming territory.
I don't know. There's a few things that I've been like,
I don't love but he's so happy.
Speaker 3 (54:36):
And now they're coming up here for the super Bowl.
I don't have a good feeling about that. I have
to tell you.
Speaker 1 (54:41):
I'll be honest with you guys.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
When he mentioned it, he it was on speaker and
she was there, so I just go, wow, I did
did the whole like when is the super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (54:49):
Anyway? I didn't really comment on that, and so we
haven't had the discussion since. My gripe with it. Like
the number one thing is he's not allowed.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
To meet her granddaughter yet, so why can she meet
his I don't write.
Speaker 1 (55:03):
I don't know, guy. There's a few things I am
being different than this. I'm not I'm trying really trying.
Like remember I'm I've called the cops on his old girlfriends, like,
but I'm trying to listen.
Speaker 3 (55:18):
I respect the fact that you're doing this because I
feel like with this you have reason to not act
the way you are. But I don't have a good
feeling about her coming up. I think it's gonna trigger
some I think you're gonna see some red flags in person,
and I don't think you're gonna like it. My god,
if you're drinking, oh god, oh.
Speaker 2 (55:37):
Well, I will be How well am I going to
survive that? Because no, I know, well, then I will
say something that's My brother is very petrified.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Sometimes.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
So anyways, that's the update. I just had to dump myself.
Not for a curse because I said her, I said
her name. Oh my god, No, I will not.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
What is happening? How are we? Somebody? You call us?
Speaker 2 (56:00):
Talk to us anything you want six one seven nine
three one one nine four five six one seven nine
three one one nine four five.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
I'm really trying to better myself here, Okay, I'm being
a new made
