their home for like a gathering or you, there's nothing
more disrespectful than walking in empty handed.

But she looked at me like I was crazy.

She was like, well, I'm sure we'll like go to
the store, and I go no, no, no, no no. It's
the it's the act of walking in and being like here,
I got you this little something like when we invite
people over to our house.

I never don't get that from.

Like yeah, it's not something that's stuff you don't even want,
but it's the it's the courtesy of like you are
homing me for a vacation. I don't have to pay
a single dollar and I get to go to the Cape,
the expensive.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Cape for free. Here's a bottle.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah, yeah, especially if it's freebies. If it's for freebies,
then you gotta bring something down to be like.
Speaker 8 (19:32):
Yeah, okay, So I will say I completely agree with you,
like Whenever I go to some sort of gathering or whatever,
I'm always bringing.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
A dessert, some appetizer something.
Speaker 8 (19:42):
Now with this, I like, I'm not trying to like
just take everything for free. In my head, I was
thinking like, Okay, we're gonna need groceries, we're gonna need drinks,
and I was thinking like, oh, I'll have to go
to the store down there and pick some stuff up.
I'm not trying all of which will have to take advantage.

I'm with you. One my son's mother used to go.
She was worse. She would go to like family cookouts

in this person's house and not bring something. We got

to bring wine, coolest. I don't even drink and I'm
bringing alcohol.

Right, I am going on Sunday for a day trip
to Chatham. My friend has a like a hotel and
I'm just going for the day to hang. I've already
bought the thing I'm bringing, Like, I would never like,
I would be embarrassed. I would never all the things
are saying, but it's the you gotta walk in.

So there is a Google spreadsheet for everyone to fill
out who's going, and it has drinks, food, games, like
all the categories on it. As of right now, only
two people have filled out that they're bringing tequila and
sam Adams. But if I walk in with high noons
because I like high noons, like what.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
That's still that gift for me?

you didn't walk in with something, people still will be like, no,
but she contributed.

Is it crazy to say I think you should still
do that on top of bringing something like well, here's
the thing, think about what it would cost her to
stay in Dennisport for eight Thursday through Sunday.

Right, But I don't have to make up the cost
you invite.

We're not making up the cost.

But like we're nodding to like, even if I pay
for a dinner and bring a candle, I'm not even
at a fourth of what it would have costed me.
