Speaker 1 (00:01):
In the Morning Show Bostin's number one for hip hop
jam in ninety four or five.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Hi, everybody, good morning. It's actually in the jam In
Morning Show. Mark Lewis has been joining me all week
at Mark with the c Lewis on IG If you
want to check out some of his content, which by
the way, makes me laugh a lot. You do very
like just basic average conversations that normal people are having,
and I feel like those are the most relatable.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, I mean sometimes you don't think about it a lot. Yeah,
what I mean, It's like a lot of people realize
through content that a lot of their experiences like aren't unique,
even like mundane kind of like rudimentary stuff that you
go through every single day. Like a lot of people
don't realize, like, oh, other people, this happens for a
lot of the people. Like I can't tell you how many,
Like I hate the phrase I feel seen, but like
(00:50):
I can't tell you how many I feel seen moments
I've had, like just through like content and doom scrolling
on my phone and I'm like, oh my god, this
happened to somebody else. My thoughts, this just happened to me.
In nineteen ninety nine, this crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
I had a moment like that yesterday, and then I'm
always like, damn, why didn't I think to make this video?
But a girl was basically like, I'm not going to
the grocery store picking out items, putting them in my basket,
taking them out of my basket, putting them on a
conveyor belt, bagging them, putting them in my car, bringing
them home to my house, putting them in my fridge,
(01:20):
and then eating them. I'm ordering. And I was like, dude,
that's me. I will spend two hundred dollars at the
grocery store. And I'm like, should we get McDonald's tonight?
Should we get a happy Meal?
Speaker 4 (01:29):
I think you know what else?
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Is basic stuff?
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Do you know what else is another thing too? If
the self checkout thing is broke, I'm stealing everything. I'm
walking out. I'm leaving. I'm absconding with my goods, whatever
I have on the thing.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I'm out. I'm gone, chase me down, report me to
the Feds. I don't care.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'll be the biggest fugitive in America. Chape leaving from
the cops with a bag from Whole Foods.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
I don't care one thing. I will I always give
credit where credit is due, and one prop that I
want to give you this week is you've been very open.
You're not you don't anything or like, this is this
is who I am, this is what's going on you. Uh,
let me make fun of you, which you know a
lot of people can't handle it. I was joking earlier
in the week that you Mark has his TV, you
(02:12):
guys on his dresser. He doesn't have it mounted. I
know you would think maybe he's not an adult, but
he is thirty four years old. Shocking, He's like eye
level with his TV. It drives me batty. But you
also revealed something to me off air, and I was
like that that's it, Like that's the number one thing
that you like. I need you to get your life
together like you have you listen, you're going places, but
not with this guys. Mark doesn't have a bed frame.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I have a hold on you hold on a bed frame. No, No,
that'ss that is fact. It's indisputably fact. I do have
a box ring, so it's not likely this thing is
like sitting in zone.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
So, guys, if you get brought back to Mark Lewis's place,
his bed is going to be at your knee caps,
like just know that you like to get in you
have to dive like it's a pool.
Speaker 4 (02:57):
I and you know what, that's what keeps it fun.
Oh is so that's what keeps it fun.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
That's what every time I come home and I'm exhausted,
it's like jumping back.
Speaker 4 (03:04):
In the boold.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
When you get up in the morning, do you just
roll like cause it's kind of hard to just you
just like roll out to stand? How do you It's like.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
A little like mini You ever seen people like break
dance on their rear, You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
They spin.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
I'd just spin right out of there and set right
on the floor. It's like risky business.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Stiff in the morning. I'd have to crawl out. But
I said to you, like, that is my number one.
The only there's only one other man that I know,
grown man that has his mattress on the floor, and
that's my father and you. That's just like I always
say to him, Dad, how are you getting up like
your knees are broken? How are you getting up in
the morning? Do you have a thing that if you
went into it, like you get invited by this girl's
(03:43):
a ten You're like, this is it from me? You
get back to her room, could you see anything that
would possibly deter you in your penis? Or you like
you don't care.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
You got the blinders on amethyst, like the no, like
the crystal, you know, like it's like a it's like
a with the crystal girl thing.
Speaker 4 (03:58):
It's like that. There's another one too.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
I'm and obviously making it like a stone person.
Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, like a rock, like a magic rock person. I
mean whatever, I'm obviously making a joke. It's not that
big of a deal.
Speaker 3 (04:06):
But if I'm gonna pick one thing to like kind
of go, I would say, like we're dealing with a rock,
you know what I'm.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
Saying, Like a rock rock person. Yeah, with a rock that.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, its like an interesting like obsession with rock.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
It's everywhere. It's like on the mantle. I mean, I've like,
you know, hung out before. It's like, you know, you
go to a girl's place, whatever, somebody you're dating, whatever
it is, and uh, sometimes it's a whole mantle.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Sometimes it's got its own shelves, crystal. I get.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
I know these know they're probably saying people that light
like stage to clear out the demons in the room
that type of vibe.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
You have to be exercising the demons as much as possible.
I feel like you can't let that build up.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
What about a messy room? Are you messy?
Speaker 5 (04:41):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (04:42):
Like?
Speaker 2 (04:42):
If you right now, if I walked into your bedroom,
would I be hard? I mean obviously the beds on
the floor, so that's my first, but would I be horrified?
Speaker 3 (04:48):
I'm gonna say this, it's not messy as far as
disorganized goes. There's just a lot of stuff. So it's
there's a lot of things there. It's really not it's
it's a lot of it is still like but like
I'm I'm like a clown where like I'll buy something
from Nordtroums and it's just still in the bag that
I bought it in like chilling, like three weeks ago.
(05:09):
I haven't taken it out. It's just there the receipt.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
So it's a good question to ask, is like if
you had a female over and she used your bathroom
as the bathroom clean because that's very important. Yeah, okay, yeah,
you wash in your sheets once a week. Yeah, but
I'm not buying it.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
You know what, it's not for sale that you can't
buy right so.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
When's the last time you washed your taels?
Speaker 3 (05:30):
I have like three in rotation, and uh, I would say, yeah,
the brown one, the pink one, the white one got
washed most recently.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
All right, you wash them.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
There's like a little mini rotations from their listen.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I only asked these things because this is like guys
don't think about stuff like that, and that's fine, but
they need to.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Yeah, you know what, And it's funny.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Sometimes this is the benefit of having Like sometimes a
girl like you know again, dating, hanging ut whatever, taps
you on the shoulder and she's like, hey, uh should
probably take a look at that, or you shoul probably
do something.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
I just think you have to stay ready, Like you
need to stay vigilant. You got to keep your head
on a swivel. You need to always be ready. Like
if Kendall Jenner rolls up on you and says, I
want to come back to your place right now, we
need to make sure that your place is ready. I mean,
Kendall's not she's huge, She's not getting on a bed
on a floor. But that's just an example. Eight seven
seven six one seven four five eight seven seven six
(06:23):
one seven one nine four five What is something you
could see in someone's bedroom that you'd be like and
run away. Hi everybody, good morning. It's Ashley in the
gym in the Morning show. I'm crying because Mark is offended.
Mark's like a zoo guy. Mark, you just love animals.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
I'm a big, big and I'll grow up on a
small farm in Georgetown, so like, and now my mom
has a bigger farm in New Hampshire. Okay, so I'm like,
and then my aunt kept tropical fish growing up.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Well, you guys, I just loves animals.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, someone just DM me and goes ash because I
were talking about things in a man's bedroom or even
in a girls if you want to call and say
you've seen something seven seven six one seven nine four five,
they're just like an ultimate Like, you're just grossed out.
Mark is a single man, and I keep telling him
you need to mount your TV. It's time to grow up.
You're thirty four. He also has no bed frame. Your
(07:11):
bed is on the floor, so if a female came in,
the bed's gonna come up to her knee caps and
she essentially is gonna dive in the bed like a pool.
And then God only knows how she's gonna get out
in the morning, because like, she gotta have to roll.
You can just turn and walk away. You have to
like you have to like like your one knee cap
might have to touch the floor and whatever you get up.
I don't know. But so when DMan goes no ash,
(07:31):
My thing is if I walk into their bedroom and
there's like a pet that lives inside of the bedroom,
and AJ is kind of co signing this. AJ's in mans,
So what do you talk to me? Like, are you
walk into the bedroom, you meet like this girl and
you're this so excited and she brings you back to
her bedroom and and what do you see that You're like,
I'm out a pet on the bed.
Speaker 7 (07:54):
Pet lives in the bedroom. Yeah, that's a no go.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, some people are really weird about that. Actually, one
of my best friends, she was dating a guy and
she's like her dog is the love of her life.
And he came over to her house AJ, and they
were going to get in his bed and her bed,
and he realized that she lets the dog in the bed,
so he took off his shirts and his jeans and
laid them on her bed so that instead of laying
(08:21):
on her covers, he had to lay on his clothes
because he didn't want the dog hare to touch him.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
That's like, okay, no, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, But like, AJ, you're not like if you walk
in the room and there's dog hair, are you out?
Like are you not?
Speaker 7 (08:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:37):
Yeah, I'm a big fan of the color of black too,
So that just doesn't work for me.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Okay, all right, AJ's not a peck eye my thing.
I was taking it like a little differently. I could
handle a cat or a dog if you have one.
If you have a like terranium in your bedroom and
you have like a spider, you have a snake or
a bird, what are you doing? What are you doing
(09:03):
with your life?
Speaker 4 (09:04):
See?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
For me, that's like I'm at the zoo. Great, Like
this is my exhibit. Like the exhibit is here.
Speaker 5 (09:10):
Do you have?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
You don't what?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
You don't have an animal in your bedroom?
Speaker 3 (09:14):
The most recent pet that I had in my bedroom
would have been a hedgehog I bought.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
I literally am gonna die what Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
I had a hedgehog. I had a pet hedgehog.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Yeah, named And the thing is I bought I drove
to Lincoln, New Hampshire to buy Franklin New hamphi, excuse
me to buy this thing. Four hundred dollars later, I
get and like the guys like, yeah, you should get Athenis.
She's like the she get the best personality. Looks she's
running around. She did what she was running around in
this big thing. And then all you see if you
go to like a place that sells hedgehogs, they're asleep
(09:45):
ninety of the time and all you see is this
big fat ball of spikes just like doing that. And
this this one was the only one doing like lapse.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
It was like on code.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
So I'm sitting there like, oh, this thing's got a
great running up to the little window, getting up trying
to get petted, like I'm like, oh, what a great
little personality. And the stale snacker turns out she had
a virus.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Never ate four days, never drank a sip of water.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Everything the food was prepared like Hotel Deville like, everything
was perfect, and she ended up passing away after four days.
And at that point I'm traumatizing. I'm like, I'm never
buying another one of these things again. Yeah, if they're
this dainty and you can't tell and you can't tell
that something's wrong, gone. She's three years a IPN piece. Yeah,
she's been. But it was like a thing where like
the guy refunded all the money. He's like, I'm so sorry.
(10:29):
I don't know what happened. Sometimes they have stuff that
you can't detect. But that was the close she was.
To be fair, she was in like they stay in
like wait, hold on, ready, wait, it is porn for
all the prospective hedgehok owners.
Speaker 6 (10:41):
Here.
Speaker 3 (10:43):
They're in like a cage that you would keep like
a rabbit or a chinchill in, you know the ones
that are like plastic on the bottom with like the
metal grate top, so it's like a bit. It's about
like four feet five feet long. It's like a big one, right,
shaving's on the bottom. You get the food and everything.
Then she was that's supposed to be on the floor.
So that was in the corner the end.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yes, so a couple of years ago. If I were
to walk in your bedroom, I'm eye level with the
TV that's on the dresser. I have to get all
my hands and knees to get in the bed, and
there's a hedgehog in the corner. That's that's a triple threat.
And now well, it's you know what's good. You've been
on the show for three days and now we know
why you're single.
Speaker 1 (11:20):
In the Morning show, Boston's number one for hip hop
jam in ninety four five.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Pod guys, good morning, It is Ashley and the jam
in Morning Show. My guy Key is still here. I
want to be stay at home. How are you doing
with the schedule? Are you a little sleepy? No?
Speaker 4 (11:36):
I think I'm adjusting a little bit.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
One adjust that. Everyone's always like, how do you How
do you do it? Ashley? How do you get used
to it? I go, well, you just know you have to,
Like you just know you have to. There's no adjusting too.
Speaker 8 (11:47):
When I got into the elevator today at the studio,
I like had tears in my eyes and I was like, wait,
just because my eyes are not used to being open.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Your eyes are begging to be ship. We had chatted
about this a little bit yesterday, but I'm going to
my family reunion next week. We're doing the old Christmas
in July because we wanted. We've been trying to do
Christmas for the past like ten fifteen years together, and
it's just like it hasn't been working out. Everyone's like
kids and people are trying to fly place and it's
(12:16):
just like we can't make it work. Everyone has plans,
so we're like, we're gonna do a party in July.
We'll call it Christmas. We're gonna buy the gifts, d
all things cool. Fine, great, We're gonna hears she park like,
I'm fine with all of these things. This is fine.
My uncle, whose house is he's hosting the party. He's
a big pilates guy, loves himself some pilates. So he
(12:37):
hits me up a couple of weeks ago and he's like,
do you want to do a pilates class with me
on Saturday, like before the reunion. I'm like, yeah, that's fine,
Like I like a little sweat and he's like, all right, cool,
I'm gonna see if I can get like our family
and she can do like a private party for us.
I'm like, oh wow, this is turning into a thing,
so whatever. I agree. He asks, will my brother's girlfriend
do it? We're like, yeah, well now it's taking a
turn because he calls me two days agoing, guys, if
(13:00):
you're a pilates person eight seven seven six one seven,
this is zero shade against like pilates because I've heard
it's one of the best workouts ever. I don't do it.
Speaker 8 (13:08):
I've heard the same thing. I have never tried it.
I feel like I fail miserably.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
But like I see the pilates girlies out here and
I'm like, bodies, like you're crushing. I like lift weights
and I don't do pilates. So I am there's a
beginner and then there's me. But he calls me two
days ago and he goes, how like hurting, Like how
hurt do you want to be? I'm like, Dan, I
don't want to hurt.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
Yea the worst first question.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, Like I'm forty and I well in November, and
I don't want to be like injuring myself. I don't
want to be Connor McGregor, Like I don't want injuring
myself for like days, Hey, we're gonna be boozing, we're
gonna be eating, Like I want to get a little
sweat session. And he's like, well, you know, we're definitely
you're going to be hurting. But I'm just like trying
(13:50):
to figure out what level. I'm like, why are you
trying to figure that out? I'm a beginner. I've never
done it. Just tell the woman give us an intro class.
I don't understand, but it just feels like mister Pilate's
is trying to flex on right. It's like, yo, you,
I'm sure you can do pilates better than me because
I've never done it. And all my picture is myself
(14:11):
on that like wooden board that like is on the rollies,
Like I see the crazy stuff that I'm like, I'm not.
I am not trying to do that.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
You can't have to get rid. Maybe you try to
get a class in before.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
You go, right, I mean, like I am. I just
I'm worried that he's spoken to this pilates instructor and
I'm gonna walk in there and then I'm gonna come
back to Boston and be like unable to walk.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
She's gonna be specifically focused on YouTube.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Now, this is why you can't go to family reunions
like we're doing Pilates.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
What Morning show and it's time for another DM dilemma.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
Hi guys, good morning. So key, we do this thing
called DM dilemma and that's when people can kind of
hit me up and be like ash, I'm going through it,
but I can't ask my family and friends are too
close to the situation, like I need outside opinion and
if you're going through some something and you want to
do that at Ashley Feldman Twoe's on the Ashley, I
(15:05):
am straight up lying to you guys right now in
saying that this is a DM dilemma. This is actually
about Justin from down the hall on kiss wanta wait?
But I'm I'm trying to help out his marriage by
saying someone DM me this. But I'll tell I'm telling
you guys, so and I this is a sensitive subject.
I'm gonna start up by saying that. And I think
the real question is is like how does one kind
(15:27):
of move in this situation? But he sees me in
the hallway s morning, He's like, I got to tell
you something. He's like, I really upset my wife last night,
like she was crying. I said, you made your wife
cry last night?
Speaker 7 (15:37):
What?
Speaker 5 (15:37):
What?
Speaker 9 (15:37):
What?
Speaker 10 (15:38):
What?
Speaker 2 (15:39):
And feel free to go leave him talk facts about
this and tell him he's going to help.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
But I guess at some point over the last week
or so, his wife told him I want to slim
down for summer, like I want to I want to
get my body right for summer, she bought a juicer.
She's been trying to be more cognizant of what she's eating.
And last night dinner had happened, everybody had eaten, she had,
and it was like seven pm, and she said, I'm
gonna order a cheese steak, and instead of just letting
(16:05):
it ride out, he said, do you do you really
want to do that? And he's asking me like he's
like flabbergasted to me that. He said it was immediate tears,
like she was upset. Obviously, she just wants to have
her cheese steak and not be judged. But it's a
weird thing. So I asked him directly. I said, did
(16:27):
she ever say to you straight up help me, like
if I make a poor food choice, tell me I'm
doing that? And he goes no, I said, well, then
what the hell were you are? What how are you doing?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
How would you.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Have handled said situation? Would you have just like let
it ride?
Speaker 8 (16:45):
Well, okay, I think the way to play that, if
you do want to step in and you know, maybe
get her off the cheese steak, is to be like, hey,
well we got food at home. You know what I'm saying,
I'll make this for you. Essentially, you volunteer to solve
the problem instead of letting her, you know, go to
that solution. But I've also been in situations where you know,
you want to swim, or my fiance wants a sweet treat,
and maybe I don't want a sweet treat. I can
tell based off how she as if I'm gonna need
(17:05):
to get a sweet treat or.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Now I actually love that you said that, because there
is nothing worse than a man that's not cognizant of
we need a sweet treat, but I don't eat the
sweet treat alone. You're not going to do that to me.
Many at nights, I'd say like, oh, I want some
ice cream and he's like, oh, you can get it.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
What did you say?
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Stay it again? Stay it again, because you're never gonna
say it to me again because we're divorced now. Yeah,
but this is a weird thing. And sometimes I see
this online where people are like I'm gonna, you know,
I want to lose ten pounds, like hold me accountable,
and then I see like maybe they're eating something and
the comment section is like nafty, and immediately feel bad.
But you also said hold me accountable. This situation she
(17:47):
didn't say that.
Speaker 4 (17:48):
I never asked that.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
She never ever said that. But that is so funny.
I mean, it's like everything a lot of times in
a relationship revolves around like we've already had a text
message exchange my husband I about what we're having for dinner.
Speaker 8 (18:01):
Yeah, I mean, relationships we communicate through food. That brings
people together. It does, and it can also apparently some people, it.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Could also end relationships as well. I'm interested to know
if anybody has kind of been in this situation. It's
a it's a very sensitive sub but if your one
better half is like, hey, I'm trying to be conscious
of what I'm doing and what I'm eating, and then
they order a cheese steak at seven pm, are you interjecting?
Are you, you know, picking and choosing your battles? Eight seven,
(18:30):
seven six one seven one nine four five eight seven
seven six one seven one nine four five And I
think he like, I could tell key to go now.
He just taught every single man that's listening to the
show a lesson. We don't eat sweet treat alone. You
never ever take Hi, everybody, Good morning, It's Ashley and
the jam in Morning Show. I was trying to pretend
that this was a DM dilemma, but it was. And
justin my good friend from down the hall kiss went away.
(18:52):
It was like, oh, I made my wife cry last night.
And I was like, because I'm his wife, is my girl?
And I said why, like why why would you ever
do that? He said, well, she wanted a cheese steak
at seven pm last night and she's been telling me
she wants to work on her summer body. So I
told her that's a good idea. You should get a salad.
I said, oh, you're lucky to be alive. My brother like,
you are lucky, but you're still breathing. Yeah, Like that's crazy.
(19:13):
And then I just followed up with did she ask
you that right? Did she ask you to stop her
when she's going to eat certain things? And he was like, no,
I listen, there's a way to do it, and like
you gave a good example. It just that's just not
the way, like, hey, let me grab you something. We
have things here, I'll cook something up. That's nice. He's
never going to do that. But I think it's tough
(19:35):
when too people like you know, my husband going to
the gym makes me want to go to the gym.
You know what I mean, and helps keep me like dialed.
I think if you are with somebody that can like
eat like crazy and still stay thin, it's tough. Like
if I want to lose weight, I have to like
really work and that's not easy. Also a first on
the show, I'm so excited Elaine's going to join us.
(19:57):
Elaine used to be a playboy model.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Hi, Elane, I'm still a playboy model. Oh, literally, have
a contrust. Sorry I had to say that because I
don't want to be retired yet.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
No, you should say that, like Alex. Alex is the
one that told me you're retired. You could find him
at DJ el Menora on ig and you can have
a combo with him about that that's on him.
Speaker 6 (20:21):
Maybe hey, maybe maybe he thinks maybe he thinks that
because it's all about Maybe he just looks looking up
real quickly, like she looks she needs to be retired. Hey,
maybe I'm pushing it, Oh Elaine.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
No, but for research purposes, I would love to look
you up. Where do we find you on Instagram?
Speaker 6 (20:38):
So you can so on Instagram it's official Elaine Stella
Underscore Stella. But you can also find me like playboy
Ela soa and I'm a plaintiff and like an environmental lawsuit,
you can find me that way too. But let's talk
about the topic.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Let's yes, let's talk about the thing you brought the
playboy thing up, not me, because when it comes to
relationships and you know this whole like health, push and
all the things, how would you have handled what would
you wanted to hear from your man at that time?
Speaker 6 (21:12):
Well, that's because I listened to your show a lot
and and I like it, and I you know, this
is the first time that I crawled in because it's
a really slippery slope. Like with that kind of because
saying one thing, I just take it as if you're
with somebody you kind of, like you were saying, you
kind of feel, you kind of know what they.
Speaker 7 (21:32):
Want to do, and you kind of you.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
Just make a cognitive decision. Does my significant other or
do they need to watch out what they're doing, or
do they need to watch their weight? Or are they
maybe maybe making unhealthy, like you know, obsessive decisions. So
if you know, like okay, she know she does need
to swim down, maybe encourage her a little bit more,
(21:55):
but like maybe change the wording. But if you know,
she's just that crazy.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Maybe elne is let's not go back. Okay. So here's
the thing. I think he knows that she's been trying, right,
he knows that she's been giving it a go. She
wants to have a summer body, let her have the
cheeseteak like she's been juicing like she don't want to
nobody wants to just drink juice.
Speaker 8 (22:18):
That's why I said, you throw the initial ask right
of Okay, well, maybe I can make you something.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
We have something here, she says, no, I want to.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, she that's fine. I've actually like this is a
conversation I have had with my my husband was like,
if I ever got to the point where you, like
you thought like, okay, she's getting a little cruising like
she's you know, I said, how would you handle that?
Because it's an honest question, and he goes, I would
just say to you, like he goes, I would put
it on myself. I'd be like, hey, I've put on
some way. I think let's try to like cut out
(22:43):
the car. You that's how you have to You have
to take the billet out of the gut.
Speaker 8 (22:46):
Yeah, you know it's easy for me too, because I
eat out. Obviously, it's my job. So I'm like, hey,
let's just like look at home.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
You know what I'm saying, Yeah, yeah, you're not. She's listening,
she's beautiful. You're not saying that's no. But trust me,
as your job, that would be tough for me because
I wouldn't be you're even like the best things, but
also like not the best maybe for the waistline.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
No, not at all, not at all as these pants fit.
Kind of just stop it.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Hi, everybody, good morning to everybody except for Justin from
Kiss Went.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Away, Sashly Show, Bostin's number one for hip hop jam
in ninety four or five.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Hi, everybody, good morning. It's Ashley in the gym of
Morning Show. One of the honestly the greatest debate. I
feel like in the state of Massachusetts, it's a massive deal.
Is north Shore versus South Shore, and not just food,
just in general north shore versus South Shore and the
(23:42):
people of each shore are very very strong and they
feel very strongly about their shore. I myself, Sushore Galley,
I've always lived in the South Shore, and when we
were looking to move, my husband, who's from Southee, was
pushing he was like, you won't gel with the people
from the Norse. I'm like, the hell do you know
about it? You've never been over there. And I actually
(24:05):
when we were going to look at towns like north Andovers,
I was like, oh the Northwards night. This man's acting
like we'd be moving out of country. Literally. Yeah, I'm like, sir,
it's not that bad over here. But when you get
into the realm of food, then people really do get
like tight about Oh no, it's this first that when
we talk about north Shore versus South Shore food, it's
(24:26):
almost like the Ba pizza versus the roast beef sandwich.
I myself had no idea how serious people in the
North Shore took the roast beef sandwich community. No, it's
it's a real thing. I was at the bar one
night and everybody's drunk and it's loud, and this girl's
telling me about a three way on the north Shore. Hey,
(24:49):
so I'm just going with the conversation and the entire
time she's talking about a sandwich, and I was full
on thinking she was talking about a threesome, Like with humans,
what is on a three way?
Speaker 8 (25:03):
So you'll get the roast beef obviously, James River barbecue, sauce,
some mayo, and American cheese.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
I believe it's American cheese.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
Best three ways.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
It's from I would say modern Butcher and Danvers.
Speaker 2 (25:20):
I've seen people talk about that.
Speaker 8 (25:22):
The only issue is some people don't count them because
they only do it on Saturdays, like Saturday morning, line
out the door because they will only.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
Do it that day.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Wait. I like love that it's an exclusive.
Speaker 4 (25:30):
It is an exclusive thing. Yes, but it is incredible and.
Speaker 8 (25:32):
You waited and I waited, and no, it was worth it.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Also part of it's like but I've also heard the
three ways messy.
Speaker 4 (25:40):
Oh no, it's it's not. You know.
Speaker 8 (25:42):
I do a lot of videos in my car, and
I probably had two or three of them in my car.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
I had to buy I remember right after.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
After But yes, right, you got this is the car.
Speaker 8 (25:56):
Just yeah, no, it's a mess and you get one
take I get one.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Have you had the South Shore Bar pizza?
Speaker 4 (26:05):
I did. I went and did a bunch of staples.
I hit Townspa.
Speaker 8 (26:10):
Forgetting in the other names of places that I have
hit a Oh goodness, I can't remember. Oh Flying g'z.
I think it's the name of the one kind of
in a neighborhood. So I've done a bunch of them.
My thing is I kind of like the normal pizza
better than the bar pizza. It's just a little small.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah, I was gonna say, you're giving unimpressed. You were
way more enthusiastic about having a free way, which get
I did tell him, guys, I he has to go
to Poopsi's because everybody's.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
One poops seas.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
But I'm telling you fire and so in Duxberry that's
my go to pizza. I want you to go there.
So this is the question. You literally you do food content,
you love food. We all do. You can only eat
on one shore for the rest of your life. Are
you going south or you going north?
Speaker 4 (26:52):
Right? Now, I would go north. Part of that it's
just due to experience.
Speaker 8 (26:57):
I have not done a ton of south shore spots,
but I've been in Pebt, I've been in Danish.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
I'm trying get the pronunciations right.
Speaker 8 (27:04):
Yeah, defending a bunch of the north shore spots and
they've all been pretty impressive. Yeah, but I feel like
people keep telling me I gotta get in Quinsy more
and if if.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
This absolutely so, there's some good spots to ask.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Me again in a little while.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah, there's definitely some people listening that are like, get
rid of this.
Speaker 8 (27:19):
Guy, right, Oh, you're a sal shore guys and the
only way to find out and if my opinion changes
is to follow me.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
I want to be stay at home, Yes, at want
to be you stay at home dad. I'll also open
the phone lines right now. You heard it here first,
this man said he's a north shore guy. He likes
a good three way. If you're a sal shore person,
you heard this and this just upsets you. Eight seven
seven six one seven one four five eight seven seven
six one. Hi everybody, good morning, It's Ashley and the
(27:47):
jam In Morning show. I am literally crying because the
I know the debate of this north Verst southing, whether
it's food related or not, like people take offense to this.
It's it's not even like if you're a north shore
person and someone maybe says like, oh, what are you
from the south Shore? They're like, bitch, what did you say?
Like how how dare you before you got here? This
(28:08):
week we actually had a north shore queen on the show,
Ashley Cooney from well actually yes, no, she's from Easy Oh.
Ash she's mad right now, Ash, I'm sorry, Yes, you
just messaged me. She goes, I'm screaming in my car,
this north Shore versus south Shore thing. Get in on,
get in on the debate. Ashley Cooney, who was on
(28:30):
the show earlier this week, is in the car listening. Ash.
You can only go to one for the rest of
your life.
Speaker 11 (28:37):
I know, Ash, I'm so sorry, but so easy people
were north Shore people.
Speaker 2 (28:42):
That's what I thought. I thought, so all right, So yeah, I.
Speaker 6 (28:45):
Listen, he goes to the north Shore.
Speaker 7 (28:47):
You will never catch me.
Speaker 2 (28:49):
I don't even let go into the Kate, how much
I do not like going all right? So when you
just heard Key say where he thought the best three
way is, do you agree modern butcher?
Speaker 9 (29:01):
Okay?
Speaker 11 (29:02):
So, I mean, I'm just I don't know ratchet is
the word.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
Okay, we'll take it.
Speaker 11 (29:07):
The roast beef right next to the train station in
Ravia is like the.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Best roast beef from a train.
Speaker 6 (29:17):
Right next to the train station.
Speaker 11 (29:19):
It's still like on the blue line, right next to
like stuffoc downs.
Speaker 6 (29:22):
Now, I don't know what it's called.
Speaker 7 (29:23):
I just know that's where.
Speaker 11 (29:24):
We go for roast be So they're open to like
two in the morning.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
No, she would you would know Kelly's.
Speaker 11 (29:30):
I do love Kelly's TV bacon fries all the way.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Yeah, I feel like Kelly's is like a real famous one.
All right, let's get away from the roast beef. Then,
ash you not having roast beef? Best north Shore restaurant
in your opinion, and let's see if he has been.
Speaker 11 (29:44):
Okay, I don't know if you think it's like a
restaurant because it's so fancy. I'm gonna go too, though.
You've got planas for steakhouse, planas all day, every day.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Wow.
Speaker 11 (29:54):
But then Santapio's Pizza, I know they're an easty one.
But if I'm going up root one, I'm stopping in
pevity at Santabo Santa Pio.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
I mean, listen, I'm not going to hate Santabio's Pizza
is good. I'm again Salashore through and through. But Santa
Pio's is good.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Yeah. So I live in East now, so we can
get it a bunch. It's good.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
It's good. Yeah, And you literally get one. What's crazy
to me about Santapio's and shout out to everybody that
works there. It's like you can have like a piece
of sausage or pizza. Like, there's not you have no
options when you go there. That's hey, Like, don't ask
for anything else.
Speaker 12 (30:22):
That's it.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
No, don't have econnoments. I've worked there for like ken years.
If you ask this to ketch up, like, just get out.
Speaker 2 (30:30):
I love it. Hashtanks for weighing in the official North
Oral Queen. We had to have her. Chris is in
drake It and again I knew, I knew this was
going to happen. Hi, Chris, good morning.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Hey morning guys.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
So you say shout out to Key, However, let him
know I'm trying to tell him he's got to get
to the South Shore more. I think his mind would change.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
You know, one I grew I grew up in shore.
I grew up in the Milton Mass I currently live
in the North Shore. So I'm definitely well rest on
both sides, and if I could, I'll be back in
the South Shore, living hard. But you know, times has changed,
you know what I mean? And Hey, Astley, we've been
following you since the Northeast days. Grew up together, so.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
I appreciate that. That's amazing.
Speaker 5 (31:15):
Yeah, oag we've actually been in one of your games before,
so we get go.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Dang, wow, that's I love that. That's amazing. Well, listen,
let's try to like guide our guy where if you
could only send him like one or two places in
the South Shore, Let's see if he's been and be
where he should go.
Speaker 5 (31:34):
Oh so, I'm guessing he's been there, But I'm gonna say,
like Kelly's Roast Beef.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
That's in the North.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
They probably have locations.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
I don't know. Yeah, okay, you're not selling us right now.
You're not selling the South Shore right now. Give me
another one spot?
Speaker 4 (31:50):
Yeah you got a spot?
Speaker 5 (31:53):
Oh man. So I'll be honest. So I'm from the Caribbean,
so I'm go with Flames.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
He talking about Okay, all right.
Speaker 5 (32:04):
Yeah, so you definitely we've got a couple of spots now,
either in the high of Boston or you know, just
just on the edges. But you definitely have to check
out the Caribbean squats and really check out Flames.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Thank you so much for the call. I appreciate it.
I just that can't be the one. I love him
because he saw me play in Northeaching. But Chris, who
is currently in Lynn, also agrees with me. I'm only
putting on people that agree with me. Now, everybody else
can help off. I'm just kidding. Chris says, I think
the sal Shore is better and the north Shore sucks.
And now I didn't say all that, but Chris, I
didn't say the Okay, well that's what was in my call, screener.
(32:39):
I don't know what I was saying, but listen, can
you fix this answer for us? Give key two spots
in the north Shore, I'm sorry, in the sal Shore
that you're like has to go to. This defines sushore food.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (32:52):
If you're looking for a fancier place, we just I
just took my wife to Scarlet Oak Tavern and hang them.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
I've been.
Speaker 9 (32:58):
It's a great place. They have fantastic steak, they have
tons of drinks, they have a big, big selection. That's great.
And then if you're looking for the classic bar pizza,
I actually prefer Damiens and Hanson more than anything. And
that's is better because yes, yes, it's really good. It's
a nice little hole in the wall. Definitely like a
(33:19):
dive bar. I feel like that's where the best bar.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
No, he's not afraid of a dive bar. He'll go
he'll go man's had a three way all right, Chris,
thank you so much for the call we get you know,
you know up says there's people in their car screaming
out places and yelling. Fire and stone in Duxbury is
my sou shore suggestion to you. There's nothing on that
menu that you could go wrong by getting telling you yeah,
is there any other places that are on the list
(33:45):
that you're like? I so many people have hit me
up about this place I have to go, you.
Speaker 8 (33:49):
Know the place He actually just slams Scarlet Scarlett Oak.
I've seen like a bunch of dms and I've seen
a few videos pop up from the Yes.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
It's a good I like the ambiance there too. It's
so good. I had I had a few espressial Martiniz
there that I was drinking my name, Yeah, have it?
He is at wanna be stay at home dad, blow
up his dms. We got to get him to the
Shout South Shore people.
Speaker 5 (34:13):
Show.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
Boston's number one for hip hop. He am in ninety
four or five.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Oh my god, guys. Yes, I'll never forget this one.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Yes, turn it off Scotland. Yeah, wait to that beach on.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Wow. I was Scottish like. I mean, it was, you know,
the Targan Army literally took over this city and they've
been gone. They went to Miami and then they were
back to Scotland and it's it was so sad when
they left, and I love nothing made me happier when
they were in Miami and people were asking them which
do you like better, Miami or Boston, and they were
all like.
Speaker 8 (34:53):
Boston, they said, I know they were talking about They
were like, Boston's fabulous.
Speaker 4 (34:57):
It was a it was a match made in heaven.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
It was. It was just such a whirlwind. And like
my single girlfriends were like, yo, I'm going out to
try to find the Tartan Army because not just to
like hook up, but more so because being with them
so it seemed it was like going to the best
party there was. Yes, they were all just so happy
to be here. They spent all their dollars to do it,
(35:20):
and oh, it was just such a time. And I
mean the running joke obviously was that in nine months
there's gonna be a lot of Scottish babies running around Boston.
But I hadn't never had anybody write me and be
like no, Ash, like I actually hooked up with a
Scottish person while they were here, and I'm in love
well well well over the last week or so, I've
(35:41):
gotten this Instagram sent to me and it's like a
picture of this beautiful woman and this little like redheaded
Scottish man and the heading and the title of the
article was like Boston woman falls in love with Scottish
man and she's moving to Scotland. And I was like, yo,
this is a I. I don't trust anything on the internet.
So the last person that sends me I was like,
(36:02):
I actually think this is Ai. She's like, oh, honey,
I've I have done my research for you. It's not Ai.
It's actually Jill, I hear. Here is her instagram. So
then of course I do my due diligence and I
hop over to Jill's Instagram and I'm scrolling back and
she has this one video I'm going to play it
for you right here that has millions of views. She
(36:23):
actually was leaving a Pride event at Fenway Park. She
runs into this Scottish man with bright orange hair and
they have this little exchange. Tommy, Yeah, Tommy, how do
you like Boston? What do you what do you love
about that. Tommy loves me so nice. All right, what's
what's some advice you have for Americans right now in
(36:45):
the time we're living in give it, give us some
good Scottish advice.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
Don't puck, don't pick the scabs up.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
She's like, okay, don't pick your scops. She didn't even
know where to go from that. Now, mind you that
that's the video, right, hundreds and I mean hundreds of
comments and they're all like, yo, these two are going
to fall in love like this is it? Like this
is happening? Oh? I mean the comments are crazy, and Jill,
it seems like the comments proved you right, girlfriend, because
(37:17):
we found Scottish love. We found Scottish love in a
hopeless place.
Speaker 7 (37:24):
Uh yeah, you know I want to just kick it.
Tends to kick it off and say no, there will
be no baby boom from me.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
And nine months I was hoping. I was hoping, but
you know that was the big rumor, right that, like
all these guys came and there's gonna be all these babies.
And I'm like, I see the rumors and we're all
giggling and laughing. But I didn't actually know anybody who
really like may have fallen in love with a Scottish
man until I now met you.
Speaker 7 (37:50):
You know, Ashley, you split into my dms. You wanted
the dirt. Let's do this and by the.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Way, speaking of tea, there is a lot of it.
So of course I do this deep dive into you
and I'm like, oh, well, you know, she's a whole
lesbian like a month ago, and now the Scottish people
are coming in your you know, they're fighting. They're like,
wait a second, are you Are you faking it with
our Scottish man? Like this isn't right, Like people, we're
coming at you a little bit, and You're like, well, listen,
(38:17):
I just you know, yes, I've been with women, but
that doesn't mean I can't, you know, love a man
as well, So tell us everything, right, you know.
Speaker 10 (38:24):
It's just like it's an educational moment for the world here,
you know.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
Yeah, no, I was. I was married to a man
for ten years. I have kids, the whole thing. And
then the last the last six years, I've been a
lot more fluid as as we should be. Guys, it's
twenty twenty six. Let's let's frig in, let's figure it out,
you know, love who you love, and exactly that's what
I'm saying. Love is love. But yeah, no. I met
Tommy very unexpectedly out on.
Speaker 10 (38:50):
The streets of Boston after a Pride event.
Speaker 7 (38:52):
Where I was legitimately like I was there hanging out
on the Sam Adams floor looking for the ladies, you know,
open single not this happened and then you know.
Speaker 10 (39:02):
I mean a guy in a skirt.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
And they were like, wow, this is perfect. I can
flirt a little too, and it's like kind of what
you know now that video that I played, was that
your initial time meeting who's now known as Boston Tom
Oh my god, wow.
Speaker 7 (39:21):
Yeah I was. We were just kind of yeah. I
ran into him and.
Speaker 10 (39:25):
Some of his other friends because people were.
Speaker 7 (39:27):
Like, oh, are you going to meet the scott It
wasn't blown up then like Friday night there. That was
just when people.
Speaker 10 (39:32):
Were starting to say, oh my god, this Scottish or everywhere.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
They're so entertained, they're so fun. They bring all this
joy and ridiculousness and they just throw o their cares
away and just have so much fun. I had no
idea about any of that, and literally the only Scottish
person I hung out was was Tommy, Like I met
a few of his friends right before that video happened,
but we were just walking back to the car and
they were going to the t So.
Speaker 5 (39:53):
It's you.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
That's crazy. So that video happens, that video pops like
millions of views, and everyone's like, well, are getting married?
Like this is going to end in love? That day happens.
How soon after did you see Tommy? And then were
you pretty much with him every day while he was here?
Speaker 7 (40:09):
So so yeah, the video popped off and I we left.
We didn't exchange numbers.
Speaker 10 (40:15):
Or anything, so I I lot, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (40:19):
As soon as I walked away, I was telling my
friends there, which again all part of the LGBTQ community.
Speaker 12 (40:24):
I was like, if I was still into dudes, that
would be my type, Like he's so funny. Oh but
everyone come on commented on my on my TikTok.
Speaker 10 (40:36):
That they used to date Tommy way back in the day.
Speaker 7 (40:38):
And they're like, oh, I can totally endors He's a
good guy. And so I was trying to, you know,
be cool, and I was like, oh, my friends would love.
Speaker 10 (40:45):
To hang out with his his friends again, maybe.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
I like that. Not trying to look too thirsty, not
trying to look too aggressive putting it on your friends.
Speaker 6 (40:54):
Why would I.
Speaker 7 (40:55):
Yep, actually why I would?
Speaker 2 (40:56):
You wouldn't. This is I love, I love this play.
This is called game, Joe, this is called So you
get the info, then do you reach out?
Speaker 7 (41:02):
Got the info? And then yep, I messaged him on
WhatsApp and then we've just like been We started texting
like kind of NonStop, and I told him, My Saidlica,
I know you've got your soccer game, football, big, big
football game against Morocco. I've got a gig that night
if you want to come over and see my band afterwards, Like.
Speaker 10 (41:20):
So freaking cheesy, but that's what I was doing.
Speaker 7 (41:22):
And he did.
Speaker 10 (41:23):
So they lost the Morocco game, and.
Speaker 7 (41:24):
Then he took like one hundred and twenty dollars Uber
back to Marlborough. My band play.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Oh well, this is I love love, this is it?
So he comes there and then he has to sadly
go to Miami because that's where the Scots were, right,
So we.
Speaker 10 (41:43):
Did have a day or two to hang out, and
so we hung on Boston, went to Daniel Hall all
the things.
Speaker 7 (41:49):
Then he flew to Miami and then he was already
going to do.
Speaker 10 (41:52):
I like like to lie and say he came back
to Boston for.
Speaker 7 (41:55):
Two days before going back to Scotland. But he didn't.
He already had plans to go to Boston than before
his flight, so he had another two days after Miami
where he was just going to explore the city. And
so we hung out instead and I took him to
top Call.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
He explored something, was exploring some things with you. Well,
my god. So now, first off, this article, I'm sure
you've seen it. I didn't like click the link. I
just see this headline that's like Boston woman moving to Scotland.
Now that's not true.
Speaker 7 (42:26):
Yeah, come on, guys, you know that is not true.
Speaker 2 (42:29):
But do we have plans to go to Scotland? And
are you guys still in contact? And are we doing
like good morning and good night? Give me where are we?
Speaker 10 (42:38):

beautiful text?

Scotland because you know what, guys, why not, I'm forty two.
Life is short. Yeah, we've all been through enough. No
matter how things go, like are connection is genuine like,
I know, I'm being goofy with you guys, but at.
Speaker 10 (43:04):
The end of the day, life is short and we're
we have a real connection.
Speaker 7 (43:08):
And it's really nice and we're just we're.
Speaker 10 (43:10):
Not putting any pressure on it.
Speaker 7 (43:11):
It's funny like it feels like the whole world's watching,
but we genuinely don't feel like there's any pressure to
do anything, to share anything, to not share anything. We're
just having a great time and exploit how things go
and the community. Honestly, as much as we're all joking,
the community that we've found in Boston with Scotland as
well as I'm finding in the comments of our videos,
it's just people are here for uh for for real
(43:34):
connection and love and support and there's a ton of
humor there, but there's also just like cultural exchange and.
Speaker 10 (43:43):
It's really it's really fun and it's it's nice and genuine.
