Speaker 1 (00:00):
A little wow, a little before time. That's unusual on
this radio show. Nine twenty nine and nine thirty is
when we typically present ask the lawyer with Bruce L. Shiner.
Why don't we go ahead and get started on that
so we can get some answers to somebody's question, would
you please help me? Welcome Bruce L. Shiner, Attorney for
the injured. Good morning, Bruce, Hey.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Good morning ty. How are you doing this morning?

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Just fine? Thank you? Nice looking today at all? How
about you?

Speaker 2 (00:25):
I'm doing great things.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Good good. We are fortunate that we can say that
kind of thing. Others not so much. And we get
emails each and every week about those folks that need
a little helping hand. Are you ready to tackle today's issue?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I am ready.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Okay, let's see what we've got here, says my son
was volunteering at a local fundraiser in Port Charlotte when
a bounce house collapsed due to strong wins. He suffered
a head injury and needed stitches. The organization had event insurance,
but now, says the vendor who set up the bounce
house is to blame. We're getting the run around. Can

(01:02):
a lawyer figure out who's actually responsible? For the injury. Well,
the run around is very typical in a situation like this.
Rather unfortunately, what do you make of this brace?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Unfortunately, it sounds like we hear the same thing every
week in that they're saying they're not responsible. Of course
they're responsible because we know that in southwest Florida we
get heavy winds. True, so they need they need to
put a bounce house up so that it's stabilized, and

(01:35):
even if heavy winds belong, no one's going to get hurt.
So I believe that everyone involved is vible, both for
people who put up the bounce house and the people
who put on.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
The fundraiser of the event.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Yeah, right, So unfortunately, it's something that you need to
immediately contact the personal injury lawyer with a lot of
experience so that they could, you know, bring the responsible people,
hold them to account. This person is entitled to be

(02:13):
compensated for all the medical bills which could be high,
both in the past and the future, for any loss
of wages they may incur, and most importantly, pain and
suffering and other inconveniences.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Yeah, head injuries can be painful.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Sure, well more than painful, you know, they could have
severe ramification.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Sure, head injuries, sure.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And this is a terrible situation and they need to
be held responsible.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I'm the novice when it comes to this. Bruce is
the expert. But to me I felt a little encouraged
to see that the organization did have event insurance. Not
everybody's going to do that. Shouldn't some body be like
yourself or a professional talking to that insurance company.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Absolutely, it's the first place that would go.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
And that's what the purpose of event insurance is, something
just like this.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Right right. And the good thing is a lot of
municipalities require events assurance, true, true, in order to get
a permit to hold the event.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, we've put on our fair share. I know what
you're talking about. Well, Bruce, that does sound a bit
more encouraging now. Obviously it all hinges on getting a
professional involved and quickly as possible.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
That's what that's the past they should take.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Okay, Bruce, thanks again for your time. As always, we
really appreciate the uplifting conclusion to these each and every Wednesday.
Look forward to talking to you next week.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I do as well. Todd, Thank you very much.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
You take care now, bye bye, ladies and gentlemen. Bruce Elshiner,
attorney for the injured, better names in the future, hopefully
for this person. Now, if you find yourself wanting to
ask a question, you can do that by going to
the station's website and typing Bruce in the keywords search box.
That will take it right where you need to go.

(04:09):
But if you're injured or know somebody who is, like
in this case, recommend a phone call directly to the
Office Support Charlotte Office of Associates and Bruce L. Shiner
