Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy Wednesday to those who celebrate.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Big Rich, TD and Fletch here live from the
Front Wave Credit Union one to one five KGB Studios.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Now we are light staffed here.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's just myself, Big Rich alongside me TD as always,
my companion, my.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Dog for life.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Yeah, and this guy, I mean, he hit the streets yesterday,
so did you, buddy, And alongside him I did as well.
And man o man do we tear it up? On
an operation Donut Drop. We handed out dozens of donuts
to one of our buddies, one of our community members.
Uh and it was a huge thanks to Randy's Donuts
(00:42):
and Front Wave Credit Union. More on that later. Plus
we've got great tickets to give way. We've got big
show in Cheula Visus Santana and the Doobie Brother's gonna
be playing there this August. So if you want to
get your hands on tickets, you're listening to the right
radio show. Plus every hour we're gonna be giving you
an opportunity to win one thousand dollars. But before we
(01:04):
get to any of the fun, we've got to get
to a movie review, and we also have to get
to a conversation. Maybe a hard conversation between a father
and a son, and these two they locked horns, not
like majestic rams out on the prairie or on the
(01:24):
mountain side.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I'm not really sure where rams live in the wild.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
I only have ever seen them in a zoo first
cliff or something, yea cliff side rams, just locking horns,
just hashing it out. It was a tough one last
I wasn't at TD. It was, yes, very much. So
we're gonna get into it coming up next. So we're
gonna separate this into two stories in one conversation here.
(01:49):
The first story is TD last night, you and your
wonderful family, the four of you. Yeah, I mean there's
five of you total because Tyler, you're elder son. He
lives in San Diego as well. But it was it
was the four who live in your house currently, yourself,
your wife Sarah, your two wonderful kids who I've spent
the most time with, which is Caleb and Haley. Guys
(02:13):
all you went out to the movies. We actually it
was just my wife and I.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
It was just you too. It date night. It was
actually date late afternoons. Yes, so they.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
Did day date, day date right right as she was
done with work. We went to the theater to go
see Spider Man. Now, let me ask this question. Was
this uh a scheduling matter with your children?
Speaker 2 (02:32):
They couldn't join you because I know typically and I
don't want to make any sort of assumptions here. It's okay,
you can assume. But these guys are hanger honors. No,
Guyslem and Haley, they are. They are beggars. Yes, they're scoundrels. True,
they will they will take more than they even ask for.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
It is absolute. They went to go see it on Sunday. Oh,
they So they went and saw it on their own
and did not invite us, which was cool because I
didn't have to buy two tickets, nor did.
Speaker 1 (03:03):
I have to buy them dinner. That's wonderful, it was
actually that was really that helped the savings.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
So did you guys have a lunch date and then
head over to the movie theaters?
Speaker 4 (03:11):
We?
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Uh, So, Sarah was at work.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
When she got done with work, we met over at
the movie theater, which was actually just about the only
time we could find tickets to this movie.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
So spider Man Spider Man.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Spider Man, which hit yesterday has now made over one
billion dollars worldwide.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
That's absolutely insane.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
So within the first handful of days it's opened, it's
made a billion dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
It's crazy. I mean, this is insanely popular. So I
wanted to see the movie. I want to see it
over the weekend. I couldn't. We went on Tuesday afternoon,
so we went right after work and then we went
and got somebody.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well, so I'm gonna ask.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
This in reverse order because I have an assumption as
to how you reacted to the movie.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
But did Sarah enjoy the movie at all? She loved it?
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Whoa, she loved it? Yes, that said, it was absolutely fantastic.
Does she normally liked superhero movies at all? I don't
know her say. I think normally she thinks they're okay,
But this one was pretty emotional, which which really tugged
on the heart strings in a lot of ways.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Okay, and let'll tell you right now. Yeah, go see
this movie. Okay, see this movie even if you haven't
seen any of the other Spider Man I mean.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, there obviously there's backstories that they really don't fill
you in on, and you're gonna see clips of memories
that are from older movies.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
However, I don't I don't care.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
This is this is a fantastic film start to finish,
and it really does pull on your heart.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Okay, so it sounds like you two love the movie.
I loved it, Okay. I mean I walked out of
there and I said, out of ten.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
What'd you give it? And she said eight one?
Speaker 3 (04:43):
And I said, okay, wow, okay, that's pretty high, pretty
high from you. I thought eight point five. This thing
is leaning on a nine.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Geez. I mean it's really really really well done, really
well done spider Man brand New Day.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
It is a massive two thumbs up or four thumbs
up from TDT and his wife Sarahdale. And now let's
let's move the conversation into since we mentioned your kids,
these two, these two scoundrels who ran off to the
movie said Mom, Dad, sorry, couldn't get your ticks. Over
the weekend, we're gonna catch this one. We're flying like
(05:17):
free bird solo. But also over the weekend, Caleb Dale
made a major purchase. Now, this is your your living son,
This is your son, this is he's of your loin.
He is you You raised him, I did, I mean
he hatched from his egg or however that works. I'm
not sure if you raised him from a young flockling
(05:40):
to the beautiful bird that he is just soaring, soaring, majestic.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Now, tell me, tell me what happened over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
And what what what nonsense is he up to now?
Speaker 1 (05:53):
So I do very.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Important work over the weekends, of course, looking for arcade
games that I could purchase and restore.
Speaker 1 (06:04):
Somebody's got to do it right. We're preserving history. Okay,
that's what's happening.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
You've created a two car arcade, a garage that's filled
with stand up arcade games. So good, you're almost, in
my mind like a museum curator. And so anytime Sarah
calls to complain about how she can't reach the washing
machine in the in the garage, I say things to
(06:31):
her like, but.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
You don't understand.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Huh, what if time forget a beautiful game?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Galligan? You you get it? You get it.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
So every few weeks there's an auction that I follow
that I there's a couple, but there's one major one
that's in Anaheimer. Yeah, and so it was this weekend
and I was on the couch following the auction as
one would duh, yeah. And then Caleb sat next to
me and saw what I was looking at and said, ah,
that's cool.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
We should get it. And I said, no, that's dumb.
I don't need it. I don't need any ticket game.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
It was a game that, you know, whatever, you play
and you win some tickets and then you take the
tickets and you would redeem them for a plastic spider
at the counter, whatever it may be.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah, I'm like, god, what will we do with a
ticket game?
Speaker 3 (07:14):
We're gonna win tickets and then turn them in for
our own TOTSI role that we already purchased that.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
That's this is dumb. Why would we get there? I
see where?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
And so Caleb said, I'm gonna bid on that. Wait
does he have an eBay account? No?
Speaker 3 (07:26):
This was an eBay This was This was a private
auction that he went it then signed up for right
then and there, because you know.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
He does not have an account. And I said, hey,
just a heads up, because he told me he was
doing it.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
He said, you got to put a credit card in.
Speaker 3 (07:39):
Man, if you bid on this thing and you win,
they charge your credit card right then and there.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
He's like, I don't do it, don't do it. Don't
do it.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
So the bid was maybe the starting bid was one
hundred dollars, no bids, No bids at.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
One hundred dollars.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
They lowered it to fifty, no bids at fifty dollars. Now,
mind you, this thing is on a palette and the
sides of it are hanging.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Off the palate. Does does he? Do you own now
this giant arcade game? He won the thing for twenty five.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Dollars And now I don't even know how I'm gonna
pick it.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
A thing probably weighs fifteen hundred pounds.
Speaker 3 (08:19):
You're gonna have to have a forklift to pick it up.
It's called break the bank. Why would we buy this?
And now we own this thing? And I literally I said, man,
I'd look up on Facebook, Marketplace or something where you
could unload this thing quick.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
See how much they're going for.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Well, there's about a thousand of them for about three
hundred bucks, and.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Nobody can dump them. I'm Mike Man.
Speaker 3 (08:39):
Call up Boomers or whatever is still open and see
if they'll buy it for twenty five dollars or do
you can donate it?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
They go get it. This is where I love the
way his brain works. I couldn't even get it in
my house. It's that big.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
He spent twenty five dollars to rent out space in
your brain for the week. He spent twenty five dollars
as a goof, And if you bring it up to him,
he just starts crying, laughing that he has now purchased
this thing that, for some reason, is now my problem.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
May I offer a solution? Sure?
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Can we bring it in? Students can break the bank?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Pid here, I will hang on.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I will convert the bar that you built into a
ticket counter, and I will have stale TUTSI rolls to
give out to anybody who brings me ten tickets.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
Well, I don't think it's gonna fit in any of
the doors here, except for maybe the double doors in
the front, so it may have to live in the lobby.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I love this idea. I love that. In fact, I'm
gonna start calling him Banker Kleb.
Speaker 2 (09:36):
Because that guy, he does nothing but makes sound financial
decisions done.
Speaker 1 (09:41):
He's breaking the bank. That's what he's done. He's broken
the bank, broken my brain.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
All right, Well, listen, hopefully the brain's not too broken,
because even though he's brave, he's bald.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
He's confident in.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
He's bronze, he's in Europe, and so we absolutely still
need to talk sports, but we're gonna have to. I
had a way to do it in the Fletch zone
without Fletch, and we will. And also that keyword to
win one thousand dollars, it hits right.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Now, ladies and gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
The understudy has taken the stage and somehow the production
budget just doubled.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
With Fletch away.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
TD has stepped in with enough confidence to make it
feel less like a fill in and more like a
five star free agent signing. He's bigger, he's louder and
attacking this segment like it's Game seven with nothing but
green lights at third base.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Wave him home, Baby, Wave him home.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Fletch may have built this house, but TD he's thrown
the party and he's burning the house down. This is
the Flegerie where TD talks for us.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
God, I thought you were going with less like a
fill in and more like filling.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
That's right, yeah, filling cream cream or dental whatever.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
Yeah, yeah, that's right. Either way, it's gonna hurt. I
don't know why the Padres, the Podreys.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Are all the way back after losing to the Diamondbacks Monday. Well,
they kicked their as yesterday nine to four out of
Chase field Manny Machado and Jackson Merrill combined.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
For six hits, six ribbies. Randy Basquez through six scoreless inning.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
Six six six.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
You heard it here.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
First, there was a bit of a concern that happened
actually right before that game started. So Nick Pavetta is
out in Lake elsinor doing a little rehab step Okay,
before the game.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
He threw fourteen pitches.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
And while on the mouse, as he was out there throwing,
he booked off the mound into the dugout.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Oh, I had to poop.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
I wish it was tack because do you always hear
this and it always turns out to be bad.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
People were wondering what happened.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Well, manager Craig dam And said, I quote, he felt
a little bit of tightness in his elbow, but then
he was also able to catch his.
Speaker 1 (12:07):
Breath and then go.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
We didn't go throw thirty pitches underneath the stadium in
the batty cage, So I don't know why do to
think anybody saw.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
Him throw these pitches? Yeah? Okay, so elbow tightness all right?
For the uneducator of the uninitiated. It's not your fault.
But if you don't follow baseball that tightly, anytime they
say elbow inflammation or elbow tightness, it's usually a really
really bad.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Thing, man.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
And it seems like it is just always that when
the Padres say it, it's but I don't know, you
know what, Maybe I never listened to other teams say it,
so I don't know the track record.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
No, no, you're you're right on it. That's up.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I will give you a little bright spot for the
Padres today, August fifth, after acquiring him from trade from
the Detroit Tigre or Tigers, Casey Mize his schedule, make
his first start as the San Diego Padre.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
How about that? How about that? How about that?
Speaker 2 (13:04):
We need it absolutely like the doing it in the hot,
hot heat of Arizona.
Speaker 3 (13:10):
I'll be sweaty, so sweaty, sweaty too, because tomorrow the
NFL is back.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
It's the Hall of Fame game. Fame game. Get pumped.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
We got Anthers and the Cardinals all right. On the
count of three, name a quarterback on either team? One, two, three,
Bryce Young, oh yeah, oh yeah, nicely done, nicely done,
and actually I do know Jacoby. Jacoby were set. Okay,
that's actually a really interesting thing.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
So he kinda he kind of.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Hustled the Cardinals a little bit so in the draft,
and I'm sure he and his agent were paying close
attention because he was a due to be a free
agent this past spring. And he became a free agent
now if he wanted to re sign with the Arizona Cardinals,
and he waited until after the draft and they didn't
draft a quarterback, well, he was gonna have a little
(14:00):
litle bit.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Of a hard time now.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
He was under i think the final year of his contract,
but instead of showing up for training camp, he decided
to hold the screws to the Cardinals and say, nope,
I'm not showing up until you guys extend my contract
and pay me more money.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
That's crazy.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
And so they didn't take a quarterback. They need a
quarterback to play this season, you would assume, right, right,
And so even though they're running a lot, he's kind
of a career backup.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
He's gonna be the Cardinals starter this year.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
And he helped them hostage and he got himself a
kind of fat contract heading into this season. Look, they
can pick a new quarterback next year when they'll pick first. Yeah,
they're not expect to be very good this season. Neither
are the Carolina Panthers, even though they were better in
this new era with Bryce Young than they were before.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I could not think of the Panthers quarterback to save
my life. Dude. Yeah, that was a deep That was
somewhere deep man.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Speaking of the NFL, you could own yourself a piece
of NFL history. So Mark Cuban sat down with Jerry Jones,
owner of the Cowboy, talk to him about the team,
about the future, and Jerry Jones said he is now
open to selling his piece of the Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Okay, incredible, and guess who wants to buy it? Mark Cuban.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
So Mark Cuban, former owner of the Dallas Mavericks, I
do believe, has completely divested himself from the MBA now
and of Shark Tank Fame, which was a very good
show when he was a part of it. I actually
don't know if they're still airing new episodes now, but
it was a fun show. Yeah. Anyways, long story short,
Mark Cuban really really pretty good owner won a championship
(15:38):
with Dirk Novitski when he was with the Dallas Mavericks,
you know, kicked himself a little bit for letting Steve
Nash go during his time there, went on to win
two MVPs.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
But like overall, pretty good sports owner.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
It would be very interesting to see what the Jones
family control interest in the team still would be because
Stephen Jones, Jerry Jones's son, still very much so.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Involved with the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
Also, how large of a share, how which decision making
Mark Cuban would have.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Right, right, So they're also estimating the value of the
Cowboys had thirteen billion dollars, I mean, which is a
huge number, but the pottery sold for four billion. Yeah,
to me, the Cowboys would be a huge, huge payday
more than the popular Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Probably like four times.
Speaker 2 (16:24):
So I would guess I would estimate on the open market,
if you put it up for grabs, maybe sixteen billion dollars.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Is what the Dallas Cowboys. Insane.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
That's my guess, insane, and that might even be conservative.
All right, Well, listen, we're talking sports, so well we
might as well continue talking sports.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
No, not football, not baseball.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
We'll go into the world of golf, where one actor
has taken over the Sport and it's actually it's a
really positive review that's just around the corner. First wake
you up this morning with a little Sweet Home Alabama
one one five KGB. If you're looking for something easy
to burn through this week, I've got one for you.
(17:05):
And it's actually one that TD has already watched. He's
binged on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
It's called The Hawk.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
And I'll tell you this, it knows exactly what kind
of show wants to be. Doesn't pretend to be prestigious television.
It just wants to make you laugh, throwing a little
bit of drama, keep you hitting the next episode button.
And so I created a list of elements that I
loved or just commented on the show.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
And I'm curious if you agree with all that.
Speaker 3 (17:35):
Okay, okay, So I just watch it start to finish,
start to finish. It's pretty easily digestible, and they're maybe
thirty minute episodes.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Thirty minute episodes or less. I watched it in two days.
I just had it on as background while I was
like going through paperwork because I had a pile of
it to get through over the past two days.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
So check this out.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Wildly funny would be my first commentary. I think most
of the jokes come really fast and most of them land. Okay, yes,
I would I would agree with that. Yeah, okay, it's
if I'm going to compare it to anything, it would
be like comedy comfort food. You'll recognize punchlines that Will
Ferrell and his writing team clearly borrowed from Anchorman Talladega
(18:22):
Knight Step Brothers, and like some of the comedic rhythms
are obvious to you, and so those bits they they're
they're recognizable, but they work and it's almost like, all right,
do you ever tire of opening up a bag of
potato chips that you love and just pounding down the bag? No,
but that's like that's how I would compare this this show.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
Yeah, no, I would agree with that assessment. Yes, yeah,
I mean I did feel like, okay, well we've heard
this one, but but it did work. I mean, like
I've I've had this before, but I don't mind the taste.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Exactly correct, that's perfectly stated, Like it reminds me of
just like ice cream, like that, it's good. There's always
room for jello. You know, we're gonna enjoy yourselves. It
never takes itself too serious. Seriously, it was there to
entertain you. Is not winning any awards, and it knows
it well, you know what.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
It starts out and and Will Ferrell's playing a character that's, uh,
that's supposed to be slightly unlikable, and and that character
evolves over a few episodes and then he becomes almost
charming and heartwarming, which which is odd.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
How you take that story arc with this character, It
probably says about something about me more than it does
about the show. I never found him unlikable, really never,
from the beginning, from the start to the end.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
I thought it was funny. But I know what character
they were trying to make. It was the It was
kind of the Kidney Powers, you know.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Brash abrasive exactly, or the John Daly last you know,
the sore thum that doesn't stick out. There was just
enough family friend foe right read to drum up something
without beating you over the head with it. It kept
up some good pacing as a result of the storylines
they built with the enemies or antagonists on the show,
(20:11):
along with obviously the hero of the show, which.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Is Lonnie the Hawk Hawkins the Hawk.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Overall, I would say is one of Netflix's finest short
series comedic shows.
Speaker 5 (20:25):
Uh Tires is high on my list. I love I
love Shane Gillis, but Tires Tires are not really watching
with the kids. No, no, no, no, it's very blue.
And here's the thing, my kids are too young for
the Hawk anyways. But that you're you're absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Like when my kids are young teenagers, I wouldn't be
afraid to put them on there because they're gonna they're
gonna laugh at the more juvenile things, and it's actually
gonna make me enjoy it more. Right overall the Hawk
see it on Netflix. Solid review from the two of us.
I would say, yeah to me, it was uh it
was a six point eight out of ten. I would
give it like a seven point five out of it. Okay,
(21:00):
I really thoroughly enjoyed it all right. Along the lines
of golf, just the tip with big Rich coming up,
A little advice for you.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
That's next. It's just a tip with big writch.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Yes, it is just a little advice. I like to
slide out your way. It's yours for the taking if
you want it. If not, send it back this way,
No harm, no foul. It's just a tip. With big Rich.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Here's the advice how.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
To improve your golf game slowly, maybe even randomly over time.
Here's what I like to do listening. What I like
to do sometimes is just take one club. I'll close
my eyes. I don't care. I'll pull it right out
of my bag. I'll put it in the front seat
of my car. I won't even look at it until
I get in the car. I'll say, that's club I'm
(21:46):
gonna be working on for the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Okay. And I thought, you're only taking one to the course.
So check this out. I'm driving right, okay, driving all right?
So haven't looked? Looked?
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Just it's next to you. It's like a gift ready
to be opened up. It's a face down handle up. Okay,
that's why I like to golf, all right. And I
finally stare over at it, and what do I see?
Oh it's a seven iron.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
And I say to myself, all right, mister seven iron,
Hey they miss the seven nine. Why don't you whisper
to me? Tell me what you know about the game
of golf? And then the teach club have a different song. Well,
that's the one for the seven iron. Look there's fourteen
clubs in the back. I'm not going to give you
all the songs, but fourteen tracks, if you will.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
But that's the one for the seven iron. Okay.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
So the seven iron never actually whispers to me. I
just sort of make it up. I just go and
it's like a language that people don't understand's.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
Like manah may amma maana may. It says things like that.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
And then so me, I just stand there and I
knowingly nod at it, and I pretend like I'm understanding
the rhythms of the universe.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
And that's seven iron to me. We're getting along. Now
have you ever used the seven iron before? Never in
my life?
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Gd that one stays in the bag typically no, But okay,
but seriously, so this is a real thing that I will.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Do from occasion. From time to time. I'll take one club.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
I'll put in the car and when I have time,
Like if you're driving around town and say you have
a free thirty minutes on the Bengo board, Okay, search
the nearest driving range to you. Go over there and
just swing that club. Just swing that club, Just swing
that club, get yourself going. Even if you pulled the
pitching wi jaw or the putter. Usually driving range. Just
(23:27):
have a little pitch and putt section where you can
practice your chipping game, maybe some putts laying them down.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Maybe you go to minigolf.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Hey, people laugh at me when I bring my man's
a spider to a mini golf course.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
I'll tell you right now, I'm taking my own putter.
Can you clean up?
Speaker 6 (23:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (23:41):
If I'm going to Pellies in del Mar, you're not
gonna tell me I have to use your clubs. Beat
you over the head with this putter. Well beat them
over the head with their putter. So you don't want
to mess up your good point.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Thank you, TD.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
I would never want to scratch your dent, that sucker,
because that one. Everybody says. You drive for show, you
putt for dough. Now here's another tiplogan. Some people say, hey, rich,
what if I don't have a driving range near me?
What if I can't find a place to hit my
long clubs? Long? I say, that's when you pull over
(24:13):
to the side of the freeway. You find that grass median,
whether it's on the middle in between the freeways, or
it's on the side on the shoulder as they call it.
And that's where you practice until you get lit up
by STPD, which has happened to me twice, and I
will say there, they don't smile favorably on people who
are who are taking hacks on the side of the road.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
Did you explain the rhythm? Do you explain the routine?
Speaker 2 (24:38):
I talk to them about it, and I'm actually not
allowed to say anything further at this time. I had
such a funny conversation with my my my oldest son
who's eleven years old.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
He was eating It's so random, but he was.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
He was eating lunch the other day and he goes
to me, he goes, I could eat this for the
rest of my life. And I'm like, really, what was
the lunch? It was just chicken karaoke over rice. He goes,
I could eat this little rest of my life. I'm
like really, he goes yeah, He's like it's just perfect,
and he's he's scarfing down a bowl and then he
(25:16):
asked for more.
Speaker 7 (25:17):
I'm like, well, I'm very happy you enjoy it. I'm like,
do you realize what we're talking about here, dude? I'm like,
can you imagine if your wish came true and you
had to eat chicken? Teraake and rice for the rest
of your life. I mean, think about that. You wake
up in the morning, you're eating chicken kariakei rice. I
mean anytime you're feeling a little peckage around, you know,
(25:38):
I don't know, eleven thirty in the morning, where it's
not quite lunchtime, but you're just looking.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
For a mid morning pick me up and you're thinking it.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
And maybe an apple would hit the spot, Maybe a
nice nectarine or I'll peel like one of those little
mini oranges, the mandarins, the cuties, And instead you have
to eat chicken teraake over rice. I was like, that
would get a little boring. He was like, all right,
maybe for a year I could eat chicken KARAOKEI every
single meal for a year.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Still seems hard, Still seems difficult. I agree.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Now I'm gonna ask you a question that I started
asking myself during the middle of this conversation, because he
was convinced he could eat this chicken terarioke over white
rice for a year. I said, I don't, dude, I
don't know if there's a single food that I could
convince myself to eat anytime I had to eat for
an entirety.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Of a year, just one singular item, okay, one, okay, well, i'll,
i'll okay.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
It can't be a meal because you can include so
many different things.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
And then we have to get into the aspect of like, hey,
can I parse it out and just have the french
fries as a part of MI this burger, French fries,
milkshake combo? Like, no, No, it's gotta be really kind
of a food item. Is there a food that you
can eat every single meal for an entire year?
Speaker 1 (26:54):
No other snacks, no other sustenance.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
You know, you could have any beverage you want, but meal,
any any any food item meal, the.
Speaker 3 (27:05):
Food item meal, I guess, I guess I would say
it have to be something that wasn't real heavy heart salami.
That's probably where i'd go. Maybe salami, salami and cheese.
Maybe can I add cheese to it?
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Yeah? Okay, so I go salami and cheese, hard salami,
And that's quick time out.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
That means you cannot because you didn't say it. This
isn't a sandwich. You cannot add bread. You're eating hard
salami and cheese every single time. Now, don't get me wrong.
You don't have to clean your plate. Maybe sometimes you
leave the salami, maybe sometimes you leave the cheese, but
every single time, so I.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Would if I said salami sandwich, then i'm I could
have all three of those components. Yes, well, then'mouna go.
Salami sand gives me a lot more flexibility.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Do you want any condiments on it? Maybe a little mayonnaise,
Salami sandwich with mayonnaise, salamy, cheese, and wich to mayonaise.
That's your choice. That's it.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Every time you eat for a year, that's your choice. Yeah,
I think I could pull that on. I think I
could do that for a year. You've played this game
very wrong. There's no doubt in my mind. He said
one item. What what are you going to say? Well,
I'm gonna have to think about it. I mean, I
you threw it out at me. You didn't have one
loaded ready to go. Well, no, dude, this is a
really tough decision. You're just over there just throwing stuff
(28:24):
at the wall and cheese and watching it slide slimily.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Down the wall. I'm trying to think what could I
eat for one solid year.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
It didn't seem like it was that crazy aslammy and
cheese sandwich with mayonnaise was your answer, I'd start today,
all right.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
So my son laid down the gamut.
Speaker 2 (28:41):
He said, I think that I could eat chicken tarioki
over rice every day for a year. And I said
that sounds well, every day, every meal, every time he eats.
He said that this is what he could potentially eat
every single meal for a year.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
And I was like, that sounds really difficult. I don't
know if I can do it for a weed.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
So with chicken TARAOKEI now you're not a chicken karaokee
over ice fan.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
I really really like it. I think it's good. I
just don't think I could do it every meal every day.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
So he just he has an affinity for the meal
he was eating and just randomly blurted this out. So
I'm thinking to myself, well, I mean that's love. By
the way, there's no doubt. I mean he really And
by the way, that's what I packed him for his
lunch two day because he's going to a camp here
the final week before the school year begins.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
He has like a.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Full day camp where he leaves in the morning, comes
comes home in the early evening, has a ton of
fun with his friends, and you got to pack him
a lunch. He got packed chicken KARAOKEI over rice coming
out of a full belly at chicken teraraokee. Yeah, yeah,
the damn right he is. Now I pose the same
question to you, TD, because he was so sure and
convinced that this is what he could sustain himself on
(29:53):
for an entire year, I said, is there any food
item that you could sustain yourself on?
Speaker 3 (29:57):
And I tried to think logically, and then he just
made to me, dude, because Jon Jack, you said hard
salami and cheese.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Sandwich with maya, what are you supposed to put on it?
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Okay, Well that's a good point. Mustard.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Probably a lot of people would say mustard, but I
agree with I don't like mustard with salami.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
I do agree with you.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
I've always been a mayo with a you know what, Honestly,
send your mail to nine six six zero Granite Ridge Drive,
uh uh, San Diego, California in nine two one two
three if you've got a big problem with hard slami
and mayo. But I do agree. I like a slimmy
sandwich with mayo as well. But I digress. If it
were up to me, Pepperoni pizza. Say, there's no way
(30:39):
you could do it every single time, every single meal.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
There's no way.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
I love it every meal for one solid year. Pepperoni pizza.
There are so many different ways to enjoy pepperoni pizza.
You have a pepperoni pizza bagel, you got pepperoni pizza,
deep dish, you got pepperoni pizza, thin slice, you got
pepperoni pizza flatbread. I would get so creatid with my
pepperoni pizza. People will be like, is that a Pepperoni
(31:01):
pizza is a birthday cake? I'll say, you shut your mouth.
That's my pepperoni pizza birthday cake. Now you're I'm gonna
blow out my candles. It's February fourteenth right now, and
you're gonna eat some of this cake.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
Hoit? Hold on. My cake has to be a salamat
salami sandwich withmeyo and cheese. Okay, now are you coming over?
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Eighty eight five seven oh, I'm gonna bring my pizza
eight and eight five seven one one five.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I have to watch you eat your pizza.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Well, I'm not allowed to eat the hard salami sandwich
cake eight a five seven oh one one five. If
you want to weigh in on this conversation. Is there
one food item you can eat for every meal for
an entire year?
Speaker 1 (31:36):
We want to hear from you. It's big rich tdium
fletch one on.
Speaker 6 (31:40):
One five KGB trending with TD.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
As I'm fixing the board here. You remember last year.
It was last February there was a murder up in
Ramona and.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
It turned out it was the spouse of a fire captain.
The person who I was alleged to take place in
the murder was Yolanda Muradi. They caught her and was
months later. I believe it was down in Mexico. Oh yeah, well,
I believe this has now come to an end. Yesterday
she fled guilty to second degree murder for the stamming
(32:16):
that left forty nine year old Becky Murati dead.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
The night of February seventeen, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Now, Yolanda is expected to be sentenced to thirty six
years to life in prison coming up on September second,
which feels like it's light because this is the second
time that Yolanda has been convicted of killing her spouse.
It's the second time. Yes, she was let out of jail.
She was in jail or prison for it was like
(32:43):
ten or twelve years or.
Speaker 1 (32:45):
Something like that. Wait wait, wait, so she's okay.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
A former spouse had passed away and she was convicted
of murdering that spouse as well. Yes, and then let
out of prison. Yes, got hitched again and yes.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
Okay. Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
I mean so round two thirty six years to life. Man,
I feels like there should be life leaning on that.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
Yeah, that's pretty wild. Wow, I did not know that
aspect of this story. Yeah, very very very sad. They're
also sad. I don't know, do you know Perez Hilton
celebrity dude. I saw this last night. This freaked me out.
This was one of the last things I looked at
before I fell asleepless, gut wrenching.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
He went live on TikTok and was causing self harm
and saying things that sounded like he was going to
end his life. Police responded, they got him to the hospital.
He's currently at the hospital.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
Mental health professionals are there providing support not only to
Perez Hilton, but also his family.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Unbelievable, very very sad to see. I mean, it's I
don't even know. I don't even know how to wrap
my head around I.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Know't either, I remember, okay, So without naming any names,
there was a person in my life when I was
much younger, this was like high school times, who was
wrapped up in some of this stuff, like like self
harmed stuff, and it was it was scaring.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
It was scaring me a lot, and so I.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Reached out to the parents, and I mean I spoke
to friends, and I just sort of maneuvered it in
a way where nothing was judgmental, was just like, hey,
let's help you know that type of stuff. And fortunately
for that person, they got through it. But that stuff,
(34:40):
I mean, occasionally it can be, like you know, it
can teeter of that that line where it goes from
harm to like severe life ending stuff, and that can
be really really scary. And so if you see it,
you gotta do something about it. If it's you, there
is another side to that story, and it can be
a much brighter side.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Usually is a much brighter side. So don't be afraid
to say something. Gosh, ask for help.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
That was seriously unnerving, And I'm glad that he's he's
getting the help he clearly.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
Needs, absolutely, And let's lighten things up here. Because we've
been talking about what meal could we eat for a
solid year, every single meal that's for a solid year. Well,
a Florida steakhouse is offering diners the opportunity to go
eat their completely naked.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
See this makes sense to me.
Speaker 3 (35:28):
It's the place is called Class Soret Steakhouse that's in
the city of Hollywood out in Florida.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
It's three hundred bucks.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Oh no, I'm sorry, it's two hundred and fifty dollars
to go eat their naked if you're a guy. It's
one hundred and fifty if you're a girl, or three
hundred if you're a couple.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
See.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I like this.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
The City of Hollywood says that this dining experience is
completely legal, which sounds insane.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
A lot of people say no shirt, no shirt, no shoes,
no service.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
I say, no shirt, no shoes, steak.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
I've always said that it feels like a health hazard.
Oh stop it, I okay, So what? Oh?
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Oh waiter, there's a chest hair in my filet hide
the way?
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Do you want to be sitting there dining with everyone
sitting around you naked? Like it look like if I
was sitting there.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
In a booth, you'd be like, Oh, there's an upright
toad eating a steak over there.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
Naked.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
There's a gentleman who, if he was tinged green, would
look like the frog prince. And he's hammering a porterhouse
right now. I can't imagine old girl a girl song.
Please come over to my table. I believe there's a
pube on my Teamaw God, no, listen. I mean, outside
of a couple of mishaps like that, I think it's good.
(36:48):
It's a freeing experience. Oh God, expand your horizons, all right?
Eight in a five seven one one five. If you're
stuck eating one food item every meal for a year,
what would it be help us out, big rich to
fletch one on one five KGB.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
We would be remiss if we didn't do this right now.
Speaker 2 (37:06):
We got some tickets to a bay a little bit
of business tottend two TD, and we remembered to do it.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
You're darn right we did your darn tutin.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
It did not require any emails from people above us. Nope,
no chance, not once, not ever.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
We are broadcast professionals, Santana Doobie Brothers. They're playing North
Island Credit Union Amphitheater down in Cheulivisa. Now when when
when's the show? Rich August eleventh? Even it could be
at eight pm, maybe it's at seven.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
I don't know. That's up to you to figure out.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Probably say it's on the ticket somewhere. It's not on
the line or not the one I'm reading. Uh uh,
I don't see it there.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
But I do know this. We're giving away one four
pack right now.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
We're giving away one four pack in the eight o'clock hour,
and then Clint August is going to hook you up
with two separate four pack giveaways during his show on
one on one five kg BE.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
If you just keep listening, you're gonna win these tickets.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
And so far you've said everything except for you can
also buy tickets at ticketmaster dot com. I've never heard
of the website, but I'm sure it's nice a new
place one on one five kgb dot com for another
opportunity to win tickets here. I mean, look, we're feeling
very generous here. So what number caller should we do?
TD I'm I'm not nine or maybe eleven? No, no, ten,
(38:27):
We'll do caller ten at eight eight eight five seven
oh one one five. It's settled, then, okay, eight eight
eight five seven oh one on one five If you
are caller ten, is that the one we said.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
I'd have to listen back, but I think we said ten.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Caller ten, you are going to win the four pack
of tickets to see Santana Doobie Brothers Chu La Vista.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
It's a long minute, by the way, ticket man Sir
called out.
Speaker 2 (38:54):
From the mind of an eleven year old, if there
was one meal you could eat every single meal for
an entire year, what would it be? One food item
every single time your belly's rumbling and it's tumbling and
it's hungry for something delicious. What are you shoving down
(39:16):
the gullet and satiating that appetite with You only get
one shot.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
At this now, TD, you said, I said, a salami
sandwich with cheese and mayo and mayo.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Yes, I'm assuming on white bread. Yeah. I would say
white bread, Yes, yeah, I would.
Speaker 3 (39:31):
I would like maybe the artisan bread a little thicker, okay,
very good, very good.
Speaker 1 (39:35):
Off maybe a nice Brios. Wouldn't mind it, I wouldn't.
I wouldn't be against it. I said, a pepperoni pizza.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
I think I could eat a But then you try
to throw in bagel bites and hot pockets stuff trying
to yuck my yum.
Speaker 1 (39:50):
I'm just saying, don't you dare I feel like you're
trying to bend the rules. Well, there's a little rule bending,
but listen, Uh, the the gauntlet has been laid down.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Uh, we're running the gamut and we're asking now you
our loyal listeners eight at A five seven oh one
O one five to weigh in on this controversial topic.
If there's one food item that you had to eat
for every single meal for an entire year, what would
it be? We go now to Jessica from Alcohol Jessica Rabbit.
You're on with Big Rich td in fletch one one
five KGB. What would be the one food item you
(40:22):
could see yourself eating at every meal for an entire year.
See it's a tie between steak or sushi.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Steak or sushi.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
So you're well, okay, Jessica, I'm telling you right now
you gotta pickwack.
Speaker 1 (40:35):
Yeah yeah, I got to pick. Okay, you got it.
You got it. You can be on the FILS right now.
Eleven fifty nine pm.
Speaker 2 (40:42):
It is New Year's Eve, It is December thirty first
the clock is about to tick over to January first,
the brand new year, twenty twenty seven. You're only allowed
to eat steak for every single meal or sushi for
every single meal. Which one is it gonna be? TikTok talk, Jessica.
I'm gonna go with steak. Wow wow wow wow. That's
but it's a hard choice. It was a hard choice. There.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
There's no way I wouldn't pick steak in this scenario.
There's no way sushi forever for a year. Gosh, I
keep thinking you've lowered it to a year. It's a year.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
I've s a big ask.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
I would say sushi has more variety steak. I mean
even though you have different cuts. I mean that's a
lot of meat. That's a lot of meat. You'll be sweaty, Jessica.
That's going to be a beefy year.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Really is Wait?
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Hold on, are you now? Can you add anything to it?
Or that's it's just steak, that's it.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
I mean slather it with a little a one sauce,
maybe a little bambacue sauce. I got no problem with that. Okay,
all right, I got no problem. But you're locked in
for a year. Every meal is a steak being thrown
in front of you to.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
Listen.
Speaker 3 (41:44):
It's She's like, hell, yeah, look, it sounds easy at first, but.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
When you start to think about it, a year is
a long time.
Speaker 2 (41:52):
You get you get through a month of eating steak
three times a day. I mean, I guess true. Intestinally speaking,
I have no idea where you're at. I mean, I
don't know if you if you're if you're literally so
stopped up you need to call in a plumber, or
if you are, don't co chase in a lot of falls.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
Listen. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know either.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (42:17):
It's an experiment that well, we'll have to ask Jessica about.
That's a good point. That's good point because here in
twenty twenty seven, she doesn't know it, but she just
signed a verbal contract and we're gonna make sure she
only eats steak every meal for an entire year. All right,
we're asking you eight at eight five seven oh one
one five. If there's one food item you would have
to be locked into enjoy and to eat at every
(42:38):
meal for an entire year, what would you choose?
Speaker 1 (42:41):
It's big rich TD and fletch. All right, let me
set this up for you.
Speaker 2 (42:45):
You wake up tomorrow and for the next three hundred
and sixty five days, you can only eat one food
item for every single meal. No sides, no cheating, no
sauces to save you, breakfast, lunch, stinner, road rip, snack's birthdays,
everything the same, every.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Meal, one food item. What would it be? It's big
rich TD and Fletch one one five kg. You'd be
asking the hard hitting questions. So quite frankly, you don't
have to listen. We're trying to change lives here, okay. So,
because what if you were presented with.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
The scenario hypothetically, if you were given this choice where
somebody said, we're going to give you ten million dollars, man,
if you can last an entire year, can you make it?
Speaker 1 (43:31):
We're asking you to get ahead of the curve this way.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
When mister Beast or somebody comes knocking a YouTube creator
of some sort and imposes this task upon you, you
ready to answer it? Right?
Speaker 1 (43:42):
This is true? This is true.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
So check it out. We got Paul from Spring Valley.
He thinks he can answer the question. He thinks he's
got this figured out. Paul, what would your answer be
what food item could you eat every meal for an
entire year?
Speaker 8 (43:54):
Okay, so it has to be a peperoni pizzo of onion.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
What's a bread to be?
Speaker 8 (44:00):
The bread that Elijah ate for six months in the
desert when he went through the desert and sustained himself.
So you got to be able to make it through
without getting rickets or freaking died of malnutricians or nutricious.
And that tastes good. So that bread there with the
thick buss in the desert, that's the breast for the bottom,
(44:21):
and the pizza on top of the mushrooms.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
That's great.
Speaker 8 (44:24):
I like pepper cheese and mushrooms.
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Paul, this is the craziest thing you've ever heard. Paul.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
You picked them now, don't get me wrong. I mean
he's thinking through here, he is thinking it. But you
you picked up biblical food. But well, he only he
was only able to go six months. I am going
to sustine stain on the blood of Christ following me here.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Somebody said nothing.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
He says, I'm going to make a pepperoni piece out
of the bread of Elijah.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
So Elijah in the Bible had to sustain himself for
six months and so he ate this.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
It was like a heart bread or something. In my head,
it's very grainy. There's a lot of nuts. It is
it Matza. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
I don't I don't know the answer to that. I
have no idea. It's it's probably it's probably very healthy.
I'm assuming it has nuts.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
When I was a child, Okay, there were there was
a time and so this might be what Paul's talking about.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Maybe it's not.
Speaker 2 (45:18):
Okay, there was a time where if we had sauce
in the fridge, left over sauce, okay, if there was
shredded mozzarel cheese, yes, and we had pepperoni slices or
salami slices, okay, I would take ritz crackers and I would.
Speaker 1 (45:32):
Make little teeny mini pizzas. Been there done that?
Speaker 2 (45:36):
Kay?
Speaker 1 (45:36):
I was lunchable.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
Well do you know what I called it? I call
it homemade lunchable Okay. And a lot of people and
a lot of people said, my god, you should market that.
I was like, nah, I'll never take off. So anyways,
oh so you had the name before the name so long,
so long before.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
But my point is, but now take that cracker and
you make it a real grainy, nutty cracker.
Speaker 2 (45:58):
That's that's what Paul saying. I don't I don't hate it,
but also you know what, I don't love it. In fact,
it sounds a little bit gross.
Speaker 1 (46:07):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (46:07):
If you throw a raisin in my ritz and you
tell me to make a pizza of that, I'm kicking
you off a cliff. I'm not kicking you off a cliff.
I'm telling you saying, take your Ezeko bread with you.
Speaker 7 (46:19):
Now.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
That's that's the bread. It's the Ezekiel bread.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
It's like that.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
Okay, okay, which which I will say, I don't know
if I want a pizza mate out of it.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
You know what, Paul, I think was trying to pander here,
and I'm not falling for it, Paul.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
I'm not falling for it.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
Paul. Paul was thinking the long game. Yeah, he was like,
I need good good with JC so he can see
me through this journey. And I'm telling you right now, Paul,
I see right through. God ain't saving you.
Speaker 1 (46:45):
Okay. We're asking the one year for ten million dollars.
We're asking the hard questions, all right.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
It ain't five seven five If you have to choose
one food item to eat at every meal for the
rest of your life and the communion.
Speaker 1 (47:00):
All right, take it easy.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
Well, sometimes it's those little oyster crackers, which I mean
if you took a little tiny to have a pizzas off.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
You would have to make the tiniest pizza. Speak you
got so many pizzas. This is so this is to me,
it's so easy.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
Just say pepperoni pizza and just be like, next question
but whatever, or in TD's case, salamia mao sandwich with chee.
Speaker 1 (47:22):
I still think that's the pole. That's not.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
I just I still think that's the one. There's only
been one so far, there's only been Yeah, Paul making
pizza out of Jesus bread.
Speaker 1 (47:34):
Sandwich.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
I'm sticking to it, all right, it's bigger, it's TD
of fledged. If you dare answer this question one food
item every meal three hundred and sixty five days, what
do you choose an eight at a five seven oh
one on one five.
Speaker 1 (47:48):
We need you to be lightning.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Quick here, don Miguel, because we're up against the clock.
We need your answer this question fast. Eight at eight
five seven oh one on one five. That's the number
to dial if you want to weigh in on this
controversy topic. It's big Rich TD and Fletch one on
one five kg b asking you if you could only
choose one food item tea for every meal for the
rest of an entire year, what food item would that be,
(48:12):
Don Miguel, what's your answer?
Speaker 8 (48:14):
Mine would be my wife's beef tacos.
Speaker 1 (48:19):
Wow. He makes the best beef tacos. She makes all
the difference, you know, chicken and turkey, and but the
beef is the best.
Speaker 7 (48:27):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Don Miguel has chosen his wife's beef tacos as his
menu item every meal. Listen for the next three sixty five.
I think that that's a bold choice, A good choice,
don't I don't think. I don't think he went wrong there.
Don Miguel's blood type is mild Sausa. I'm fairly certain
(48:49):
Don Miguel didn't choose tacos. Tacos chose Don Miguel. I'm
pretty sure the man's got cilantro and his birth certificate.
I mean, this guy, but this makes perfect much much
like a pizza, where you could change it up and
make it different things. You could do the same with
the taco. But he specifically said his wife's beef tacos,
but he also threw out chicken.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
I guess he would just have to say my wife's tacos.
Speaker 2 (49:13):
Hmmm, that's very good. That's a there's a whole lot
of things. I also choose don Miguel's wife style.
Speaker 1 (49:18):
I don't think you can. I don't think you can.
I don't think you can. I don't think you can.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
Fine, you know what, you're changing rules, you're changing rule.
I'm just saying you already shows pizza, scoyt legs. She
knows how to use them, no question about that. And
speaking of which, we've got words, and you got to
know how to use them. Got it?
Speaker 1 (49:42):
You got keywords? Got it?
Speaker 2 (49:43):
You said which, and I was like, Salem, No, not
that kind, not that kind of different. Which it's the
w H I c h God. Got it leads us
to this as well. So the keyword is bank. If
you bring that over to one on one five kgb
dot com, that word, if you know how to use it,
can earn you one thousand dollars. What's our cash contest?
(50:06):
Go fund yourself, San Diego. Gotta be you gotta enunciate
the fund.
Speaker 1 (50:12):
Otherwise people send emails. That's true. That's true.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
Send your emails to nine six six zero, Granite Ridge Drive,
San Diego, California, nine two one two.
Speaker 1 (50:21):
Three, and he wanted to print them out and mail them.
That is our email addressing. Okay.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Also coming up, we've got trending with TD and the
topic du jore this time around is He's love.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
He's love and he doesn't care who knows it. You'll
find out. Coming up next on trending one.
Speaker 6 (50:41):
Oh one five KGB and trending with TD.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
Well, we are now up to four four San Diego
County residents have tested positive four the West Nile virus
this summer.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
Good times, good times.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
Now Public Health visuals are offering steps to prevent mosquito bites,
and the number one step they're offering is get rid
of any standing water.
Speaker 1 (51:01):
You know what I'm so tired of. I'm so tired
of all of us catching like the West Nile virus.
You know, you know what I'm gonna do.
Speaker 2 (51:09):
I'm gonna gather up a couple of skeeters from our
neck of the woods and I'm gonna bring it over
to Egypt and they're going to catch the San Diego
River virus.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
How about that? How do you like that? Yeah? Huh,
you know what? Yeah, turn about it's fair play.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
So if you're gonna send us your Nile mosquito born viruses,
guess what I'm gonna send you our southern California mosquito
born viruses.
Speaker 1 (51:36):
And see how you like it. That's a real American
right there.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
He plays for keeps. He plays for keeps, And don't
tread on me, dog go. I like everything you're saying.
I don't like this though.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
You know how you get on an airline and if
you don't want to check a bag or pay to
check a bag, you put your bag in the overhead
band of course. Okay, Well, we have an airline who
has now decided we're gonna start charging you to put
your bag in the overhead bind. It is an Australian
airline named Jetstar. It's a budget airline. I guess it's
(52:09):
it's the Southwest of Australia.
Speaker 2 (52:11):
These these little awful spirit not like Spirit win under right,
I think some yeah yellow one, yeah, the Yellow one
Spirit airlines like these garbage airlines like Diamond. Oh dude,
these the all of them, all of them need to
go away. I'm just saying, if one doesn't, you are
(52:33):
turning the airs. You're turning airports into greyhound bus terminals.
We don't need it, we don't want it. It's gross.
Get out of here. Selling an airfare for forty and
and then selling overhead baggage space for the same price.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
You you you you bought your ticket for is ridiculous. Yeah,
I don't. We don't need it.
Speaker 3 (52:59):
It's so February twenty twenty seven is when this takes effect.
I'll see how much backlash there is. If there's not
a ton I bet you anything. We see other airlines
just start picking.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
Up on it.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
And then you know how you get around that. Just
wear every article of clothing. You're gonna bring seven pairs
of pans, seven shirts. That's a good point seven pairs
on it. You know what.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
You crack the code and you're it's it can't stop us.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
I feel like I feel like right now I'm talking
to Tom Hanks and the Da Vinci Code. I feel
like and I feel like I feel like you're looking
through a kaleidoscope into the past and then you're making
sense of everything you're seeing, and I love it.
Speaker 3 (53:37):
What's weird is like in the room I'm in, I
don't even see you. All I see is streaks of light,
like I am han solo and I've just gone to
light speed in the Millennium Falcon.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
This is incredible. I feel like you're almost like Neo
in the Matrix. You're not seeing me.
Speaker 2 (53:52):
You're just seeing green code just raining down from the ceiling,
like everything right now around you, Like you're just you're
living inside, You're you're real, and I'm just a projection
of humanities imagining.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
Honestly, because everything's in slow motion now, which is weird.
You are unstoppable, unbelievable. You know who else is unstoppable? Who?
Speaker 2 (54:16):
Justin Herbert? Yeah, and he is unstoppable for his love
for Madison Beer.
Speaker 1 (54:22):
Who.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Okay, Justin Herbert's at training camp, right, So they're out
there on the field.
Speaker 1 (54:26):
You've you've been there.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
You're a former professional football player, Rich, you know what
training camp looks like.
Speaker 1 (54:31):
I remember, I remember it.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
Well, Okay, they look like they're having a picnic out there.
They're literally sitting cross legged on the field putting flowers
at each other's hair. Okay, so the hell is going on?
I don't get this. I've never seen this type of
behavior before, I will say this. Okay, So during training camp,
there are open practices, and then there are closed practices,
and there are practices where family members, uh you know,
(54:56):
immediate or extended are invited. They have separate areas where
your family can join you on the field after practice.
Maybe have a little catch with your your your young
cousins or your children, should you you know, be lucky
enough to have some during the course of your playing career.
Really fun and fond memories are built on those practice fields.
(55:16):
What I have never seen before is a player having
a seat with his significant other on the field, picking
daisies out of the grass and putting them in each
other's hair, and like loving people are doing around them, Yeah,
lovingly embracing each other's faces. But that's what Justin Herbert
and Madison Beer are doing. It's insane, absolutely insane. Also,
(55:38):
maybe the NFL has changed since I left it, but
I'm fairly certain if that was my starting quarterback, I
would tease him relentlessly for the next month and a
half until I forgot what that that mental image looked.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
Like, clearly getting trolled online. So Goshes, he should be
I miss you. So much during this I don't have brudches.
I just need to touch your face. Oh gosh, what
if I lose my sight tomorrow? I want to remember
you in this moment.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
Oh, for the love of Pete, let me just put
this flower in your head. Barely resembles the beauty that
you behold. All right, I take to Santana. Santana tickets
coming up in just minutes. Stick around one on one
five KGB. It's one one five KGB. It's Big Rich
TDM fledged eight at eight five seven oh one O
(56:25):
one five.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
That is the number to dial right now.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
And if your caller ten, you're going to see Santana
and the Doobie Brothers and North Island Credit Union Amphitheater
in Tula.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
This man, you're such a giver. I really am.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
I bought these tickets myself, and I said to myself,
step aside ticketmaster dot com. If you want more details,
you can go there. I said, no, no, no, no,
this one's on Big Rich.
Speaker 1 (56:47):
Do you go to ticketmaster dot com a lot just
to get some details? I do.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
I do often find myself going, gosh, Jonas Brothers, I
just need more details. I actually did yesterday, go to
ticketmaster dot com for details on an Atlantis morrisse at concert.
Speaker 1 (57:01):
See this is why I like you. Your detail focused.
And if I were building a resume for you, I
would put that on a resume.
Speaker 2 (57:09):
I would say this man focuses on the details dot
com speak amaster dot com or you can even win
more Santana and Doobie Brothers tickets at one one five
kgb dot com. Do not ask me where to find them,
just sort of click around the website. There's a tablet,
says contest. I bet it's under that boomshaka laca. Detail focus.
(57:31):
That's what I love about them. He's checking web details.
What color do they need to be?
Speaker 1 (57:38):
What color?
Speaker 6 (57:39):
What color?
Speaker 1 (57:39):
What color?
Speaker 2 (57:42):
Okay collar call oh caller number ten, color number ten
at eight ah A five seven oh one O one five.
You're going to the show.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
Hoot, hoot. It's having a convo at the household.
Speaker 2 (57:55):
We were talking about the beginning of the school year
coming up quickly, a lot of old school friends, some
new buddies in some of the classes that our kids
are going to be attending.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Maybe maybe throwing a little get together, maybe like a.
Speaker 2 (58:10):
Later summer early fall backyard banger are you.
Speaker 1 (58:16):
Trying to throw this together before they go back to school?
Speaker 2 (58:18):
Now? I was thinking like maybe a couple of few
weeks into the school years, so like, you know, let
let everybody get their feet under them, hit the ground running,
and then maybe announce, hey, you want to come over.
Speaker 1 (58:30):
I was thinking of getting like.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
A projector we have a taller wall, like a it's
it's kind of like a white stuck a wall that
divides our property from our neighbor.
Speaker 1 (58:38):
That'd be cool. Yeah, I don't have like a like
a kid's.
Speaker 2 (58:41):
Movie on the one screen, parents on the other side
of the yard while it's still warm evenings and and
maybe have you know, some wine and some beers for
the parents, have popcorn and some sodas for the kids
on the opposite side. I don't hate that, yeah, right,
And I mean that's that's putting together a nice little,
nice little baby case like a.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
Soire and and it got me thinking along these lines.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
I've never well I shouldn't say I've never thrown a
backyard party, because I have many times, but I've never
like really from soup to nuts, conceived of an idea
and pulled it off without, you know, on my own,
like I've always required help, but if if if I
were to ask you TV, like, oh, I need your help,
(59:21):
Like if I'm gonna build out the perfect backyard party
starter pack, like what would be an.
Speaker 1 (59:30):
Essential idol on that list?
Speaker 3 (59:32):
Let's see, Well, to me, you're putting together a party,
you gotta have music at the party.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Oh yeah, I gotta have music.
Speaker 2 (59:39):
Now. I know you've got a movie, but that feels
like that prior to the movie, like before sunset.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Yeah, yeah, you gotta have some tune. That's a really
good point. I gotta have tunes.
Speaker 3 (59:47):
So I guess if you're putting together the package, you're
gonna have a Bluetooth speaker in the package. That's a
good point.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Yeah, right off to get it right off the jump.
Speaker 2 (59:54):
So backyard barbecue or really not even I don't want
to limit it to a barbecue, because it could be
any backyard party starter pack. What's on the must grab list?
So TD says, bluetooth speaker, you need to have some
tunes playing? What would be on your backyard barbecue starter
pack list? Like a must an essential item? You cannot
(01:00:16):
have a party without it. We want to hear from you.
Eight eight eight five seven oh one O one five.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
There are certain things that.
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
You instantly say to yourself, Yep, this party is going
to be a good party. So if you were throwing
a backyard party, and I really don't think this has
anything to do with how much money you're spending or
how much money was spent on the party your attending.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
It's all about the little details.
Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Every legendary backyard party, or even just a good one,
has a starter pack and there's some essential you cannot
skip items that must be on the list to throw
a solid backyard party. Magicianki yes, obviously obviously, of course,
a magician who does close up magic tricks.
Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
Uh hey, look at this, my porner figure. I'm removing
just the tip. What wow?
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
But hang on, the finger is still attached. You figure
it out. I'm not gonna tell you how I've done it.
No blood, unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
You know what I'll give you.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
One that comes to my mind is somebody who knows
their way around a grill. If there's gonna be if
there's gonna be any grilling whatsoever, like, there needs to
be somebody there who doesn't screw it up like that
would be a very important touch. All Right, We've got
who do we got on the phone, Angie from the pharmacy. Oh, Angie,
we visited her on an operation Dona Drop. Very fun
(01:01:39):
to meet up with her and her whole crew at
the pharmacy. Angie, what do you got for us today?
On Big Ritch, TD and Fletch? What is a must
to have a great backyard?
Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Would you say?
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
What? What are you going to cut for me?
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
So you're saying food?
Speaker 6 (01:01:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Yeah, yeah, we did forget about the food. Wait, you've
got a projector you've got music. I said, there's there
is someone who can barbecue. But what are we going
to cook?
Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
What?
Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
What would be? That's a good point.
Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
It's got to be hamburgers and hot dogs if you're
doing just a standard barbecue.
Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
But Angie, you're just saying at a backyard party, regardless
of the circumstances, you gotta s you gotta serve a
little food.
Speaker 1 (01:02:21):
Yeah, yeah, I'm hungry. What's what's what would you serve? Angie?
That's a good question. I felt like she was going
to say that. I felt like she was. That's a
really good one.
Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
My brain immediately went to like watermelon and corn on
the cop like more barbecue, like ribs or or hot dogs, hamburgers,
like you know, the classic summer barbecue fair. But I
do agree with you, Angie Carnea soada with like some
steamed corn top tortillas and like maybe a bowl of
(01:02:54):
piqua guy, maybe a little freshly chopped cilantro, all the
all the fix and maybe yeah, maybe maybe a green
souse or and we have a multitude of salt. Maybe
a very day and actually very day e rojo e
that means and both. Yes, wow, I don't mind what
(01:03:15):
you're saying at all, and bring that on.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Are we nailing it? Is this working for you? Yes, definitely,
definitely working.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
She's invited in the backyard, hope me like the sandlot,
that's what's gonna be playing. Yeah, you're gonna enter in
the front yard, but we're bringing to the back. It's
big rich TD and Fletch counting down the days we
have left in the summer, which are so few, now
so few.
Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
There's still a month and a half.
Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
I do know that.
Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
I just mean summer break for the kiddos who are
going back to school here in San Diego is uh
is almost over.
Speaker 8 (01:03:49):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
For a lot of teachers around the county, they've already
returned to work. That is true, and the and the
I guess the unofficial end of summer is what Labor Day?
Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Yeah, yeah, that's where for weeks away.
Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
We're weeks away, but but realistically your weekends are still
yours and in San Diego it's kind of the eternal
summer anyways. So we're still gonna have some backyard get togethers.
And so if you're gonna build a starter pack for
your backyard get togethers, what would be on the list.
Speaker 1 (01:04:19):
We'll go to your phone calls here, eight to a
five seven one one five. That's the number to dial.
We have Marco. Is it Marco or Michael? Michael?
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Michael from Carlsbad joining us on the show. Michael, what's
up man? What's on your backyard get together starter pack? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
It's thanks for taking my call.
Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
So, like for me, I hate bugs, keep them away
from me, mosquitos, nat all the things. You got to
have some kind of bug repellent at that, whether you
got such an ella, handles or lights, some incense or
you to use the electronic things, I don't know. But
if I go to a barbecue and it's then somebody's
(01:04:58):
backyard and I'm getting bid up the whole time.
Speaker 1 (01:05:00):
I'm out, Wow, yeah, Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:05:01):
That's gonna sit there at Mosquito Bites for three years.
Speaker 3 (01:05:04):
A smart and unique poll here on the starter pack.
I wouldn't have thought of that now, but I don't
mind it.
Speaker 4 (01:05:11):
No.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
I like it a lot.
Speaker 2 (01:05:12):
Citronella candle, citronella candles, bug spray. I mean, listen, there's
a lot, a lot of backyards that back up against
canyons around San Diego. You might have some standing water
and mosquitoes. I know up in some of the marshy
areas in like dal Mar, you know you could have
really buggy spots. And so this is a great one, Michael, excellent, excellent,
(01:05:35):
all right, smart, smart smart? What one is your backyard
Get Together starter pack? Like something you absolutely cannot miss
in order to get people together at your house.
Speaker 1 (01:05:47):
We want to hear from you.
Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
It's big rich tdm fletch on Wednesday one on one
five KGB. The number to dial eight at A five
seven oh one one five. It's big rich tdum fledged
one on one five kgb. Okay, So are in the
backyard Get Together starter pack? We need bug spray? That
was That was Michael from Carlsbad's contribution or a lovely
(01:06:10):
citronella candle.
Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Yeah, that's true. Yeah, I said, you probably need somebody
who knows how to grill.
Speaker 2 (01:06:16):
And then our friend Angie from the pharmacy added to
that you also should have food.
Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Yeah, which makes a lot of sense.
Speaker 3 (01:06:23):
This makes sense. That doesn't make sense. So what did
we decide on the food? Well, she said carne asada,
So should we go with that?
Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
I guess the starter pack is carneasada, a guy who
knows how to grill, a citronella candle, a projector, and
a speaker.
Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Well, I feel like we're missing a few things.
Speaker 2 (01:06:39):
Okay, I need say necessarily projector and my backyard get together.
I will have a projector. If it's if I have
my I would say, I would say comfortable seats. It
is an overlooked part of having a good party. There's
gonna be a lot of people on their feed, there's
gonna be a lot of you know, I mean usually
kids find activities to do, but for the adults, if
(01:07:00):
there isn't somewhere comfortable to sit in the yard, you're
having a bad time.
Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know what we're saying.
Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
A party, So you do have less seating than the
amount of people, because it is nice at a party
to see people just milling around. Yeah, depending on how
many people are there. Now, if it's like two couples
or if it's like four couples, have seats for everybody.
But if you're gonna have like a whole bunch of people, yeah,
then you're not gonna have enough seats for everybody. But
the seat's better be comfortable, because if you just have
those metal folding chairs, like this is an auditorium performance
(01:07:29):
at your kids elementary school, beat it.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
But we gotta have drinks. Ever got there?
Speaker 3 (01:07:34):
You gotta have something ice down fact, you know, an
ice chest with the sloshy ice when it's just filled
with cans, your damn genius.
Speaker 1 (01:07:42):
I mean, that's where you gotta go. You know what else?
Speaker 3 (01:07:44):
I feel like this barbecue needs and I know we're
having carne sada. However, some chips in deal. Okay, this
party's getting a little expensive.
Speaker 2 (01:07:51):
So as a matter of fact, on the other side
of Fleetwood, Mac, we're gonna give you a keyword for
you to win one thousand dollars so you can throw
together a real get together in your backyard. Maybe in
your starter pack for your backyard get together, maybe you
need a thousand bucks. That's thousand dollars for your backyard barbecue.
It is a hell of a barbecue. Your keyword coming
(01:08:12):
up in three and a half minutes right here on
Big Ritch TDM.
Speaker 6 (01:08:15):
Fletch one on one five KGB and trending with TD.
Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
The Chargers are back in San Diego. Well, they're having
training camp here out at USD. We talked about a
little bit earlier. I guess it was an hour ago,
and trending we talked about Justin Herbert just falling in
love out there on the on the field with his
with his fiance. Yeah, his boob Madison beer.
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Does it. He doesn't. And guess what.
Speaker 3 (01:08:43):
Approximately two hundred of our service members from Camp Pendleton, Miramar,
MCRD San Diego, and the Coast Guard and Naval based
San Diego were out there seeing it because they were
given the chance to go out there and train like
professional athletes.
Speaker 2 (01:08:58):
This is actually really cool, a little bit of like
a fantasy camp experience for our servicemen and women.
Speaker 1 (01:09:04):
I think opportunities like this to connect with the troops.
Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
When I was still playing football professionally, was really special
and it's a it's a really it's a it's an
honest way to seriously look at like really true, brave
and courageous people because oftentimes you have an inflated sense
of who you actually are and where you actually stand
(01:09:31):
and how much you actually matter when you're a professional
athlete and when you're surrounded by real heroes, I like,
it's it's needed, and it's it's it's wanted, and it's
a really cool experience.
Speaker 1 (01:09:41):
I love everything about that. I love everything about that.
Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
Chargers back in San Diego. Obviously, this is the the
birthplace of the San Diego Chargers. I know they spent
a very short time in LA before they initially moved
to San Diego, but they were here for the longest.
Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
This is where they belong.
Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
Jim Harbaugh humble beginning in collegiate football as a coach.
He was the Ust Torrero's head football coach for a time.
So they're training over at Torero Stadium, having hosting some
of what will be their first padded practices of the preseason.
It's kind of a nice little connection point for Jim
(01:10:19):
Harbaugh as well.
Speaker 3 (01:10:20):
Yeah, it's really cool. I mean, everybody's training, except for
Justin Herbert. No, yeah, he's picnicking.
Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
He's just he's just like wistfully moving Madison Bear's hair
out of her face and saying things like I see you.
Speaker 1 (01:10:35):
As one would. I get it.
Speaker 3 (01:10:37):
Hey, Jason Biggs, you remember him from American Pie.
Speaker 1 (01:10:40):
Yeah, he was the lead actor.
Speaker 3 (01:10:41):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was on a podcast and he well,
I guess he just split up from his wife several
months ago, and now he's revealing that he has a
little bit of a fetish for the feats. Said, I
like feed, I appreciate feats, and I think feet can
be sexy.
Speaker 2 (01:10:57):
So this is something that's because coming more apparent. So
I think for a long time this was probably a
little bit more of a hidden, dark corner of human sexuality.
Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
But the more.
Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
I guess open society is getting with new ideas coming
to the forefront and being discussed out loud, it doesn't
feel as taboo, I guess. But yeah, foot fetishes a
lot of people. It's it's almost like the popular thing
to do now is admitting that you have a foot fetters.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Well, Cat has sold socks online. Oh yeah, I'm sure
pictures of her feet at some point, So if somebody
wanted to buy pictures of my feet. If somebody wanted
to buy pictures of my wife's feet, have had it
go nuts? Yeah, I mean I guess, I guess technically
you're advertising them for free.
Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
Anyways. If you wear sandals, everybody can see your feet.
Speaker 3 (01:11:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
I wear sandals constantly. I really do not like bending
down to put on shooes.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
Don't give away the milk for free, buddy, No, I
need to take pictures of those dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:11:58):
Do you think I need to doll them up for?
They need to like put sideburns on my big toe.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Or you know, if you had some toe burns, I
mean all of a sudden, the whole new market.
Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
Maybe a toe over comb over for a toe I
wouldn't I wouldn't hate it. Do you have long hair
on your toe? I could.
Speaker 2 (01:12:16):
I could probably fashion it into something you grow that out.
It's pretty nice a toehawk.
Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
That'd be that'd be awesome. That'd be punk rock. Hey,
the pumpkin spice latte. You talked about it earlier this week.
You thought it'd be back. It returns when August twenty fifth, WHOA,
what all this stuff is? August twenty fifth? They're also
going to have a iced pumpkin cream shaken espresso pumpkin
(01:12:42):
spice chai and an iced pumpkin cream macha.
Speaker 1 (01:12:45):
Whoa, I'm macha anything, I'm out. I know a lot
about macha.
Speaker 2 (01:12:52):
Okay, it's like green it's it's like a green tea
latte type drink. All I know is it's delicious when
it's it's sweet in the right way.
Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
I haven't drank a lot of it, but I had
one over the weekend that was a hang on. It
was like a Cremberley banana macha. Oh, I think I
saw this bo Resta.
Speaker 1 (01:13:13):
I did not see this.
Speaker 2 (01:13:14):
Okay, So Pelly's mini golf. There's that driving range next
to it, and I forget the name of the pro golfer,
but he has like a little coffee trailer truck next
to the parking lot called bou Resta. And I had
a cremberl banana macha from or actually I ordered for
any but I had a sip of hers.
Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
You are so bougie, dude. It was.
Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
It was unbelievably bougie. And and by the way, the banana,
the banana cold foam. It wasn't the macho flip was
just the floating cream on top of the getting bougie er.
So listen. And then after that I said, I said
things to people like you know what, after this, we
should go to Viori and I should get a quarters
(01:13:56):
at Pullover on August twenty fifth. You will be a
basic be Oh, there's no question. Pinky's up, pumpkinspice down,
PSL for life.
Speaker 6 (01:14:07):
It's just a tip with big Ret.
Speaker 1 (01:14:10):
Oh, yes it is.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
It's just a tip with Big Rich where I like
to slide a little advice out your way and it's
yours for the taking if you want it. If not,
you could shove it back.
Speaker 1 (01:14:21):
This way, no harm, no foul.
Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
Today's tip is a little advice that I'd like to
give to everybody listening to us right now. As a
matter of fact, we met a new friend named Matthew
with Seaside Construction. Yesterday, Operation Donut Drop It commenced. Okay,
it was our first ever visit to a residential property. Okay,
(01:14:46):
I did not know that was allowed north on the
fifteen corridor. We stopped off on one of those exits
and we said, you know what, We're going to drive
up to a house with plywood windows, and we're going
to say hello to our new friend Matthew with Seaside
Construction and give him and his buddy who was doing
a little light framing in there, some donuts and we,
(01:15:09):
along with Frontwave Credit Union and Randy's Donuts, we did
just that. And it wasn't just the two of us, right,
And it wasn't even just Matthew and his framing friend.
It was also Janelle, our promotional director, alongside of her
new higher Cassidy's right. They brought the one o one
five kgb van to a neighborhood. There brake light out
(01:15:31):
on the van by there was a break light out,
and we blamed Janelleton. She's a careless driver. She just
always burning out the bulb. You should have seen the
shape the donuts were in. I mean one of those
crollers it was crushed. That's because you smashed it against
the garage door. I take no blame in this that
I thought that box of donuts could fit through the
(01:15:53):
mail slot and I was mistaken.
Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
I just realized there was a mail slot in the
garage door. Yep, yep, ip you that's a rare French.
Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen that.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
But when you call Seaside Construction, they think outside the
box too. They am fairly certain Matthew and his team
in Seaside Construction had nothing to do with the male side.
As a matter of fact, if it up to Matthew,
there would there would be no door on that on
that garage altogether.
Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
He said he only likes electronic mail email for sure.
I said, that's a catchy name. You should coin that phrase,
and he might.
Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:16:29):
Well, all I know is Matthew had tattoos. He was
sleeved down to his wrist. He was he had tattoos
on his neck. He did, and I thought, prison, oh yeah, absolutely,
that's what. When did you get out? He also had
a very cool mustache. Should be the boss on the yard.
Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
I thought, this guy, this guy has worked out with
wades outdoors.
Speaker 1 (01:16:50):
He he was trendy, he was cool, and I was
a little intimidated in his presence.
Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
This guy has used a toilet in front of hiss.
Speaker 1 (01:17:01):
It also has a sink attached to that toilet, and
he's washed his hand in the tank of the toilet.
Now listen, now I'm teasing.
Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
Matthew is like one of the kindest, funnest people that
we've gotten to meet on a on a Operation Donut
Drop twos, which.
Speaker 3 (01:17:16):
By the way, what a great operation he's got. At
Seaside Construction. He was showing us some of the some
of the prints he made for the homeowner and some
of the detailed sketches and the drawings.
Speaker 1 (01:17:26):
It's beautiful. Man. He's got to dialed in. So a
lot of people are saying, Rich.
Speaker 2 (01:17:30):
You're supposed to give us a tip here, this is
your opportunity to to spell some advice to the masses.
Speaker 1 (01:17:37):
Where is it? Where's the advice? Rich?
Speaker 2 (01:17:39):
You're not just supposed to be sitting here and thanking
Matthew or Randy's Donuts or in front Wave Credit Union
for putting on this Operation Donut Drop, or even Janelle,
our promotional director, or her new friend Cassidy who she
just hired.
Speaker 1 (01:17:53):
No, no, no, no, here's the advice.
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Go to one one five kgb dot com and go
ahead and sign up for Operation Don't and you two
can be rewarded with dozens of donuts at your workplace
are apparently your house, because we do that too. Now
now that is correct, which seems insane and sort of
like a liability. But guess what, Janelle will crash into
(01:18:16):
your home because she's a careless driver.
Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
All right, one KB, what a show. It has been
gone by so fast.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
It really has Santana tickets up for grabs and Doobie
Brothers are playing at Chewla Vista.
Speaker 1 (01:18:31):
Give away some of those tickets.
Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
There's going to be more four packs for Clint August
to give way later in the station day.
Speaker 1 (01:18:37):
Huge thank you to Matthew.
Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
It's Eastside Construction, our promotions team led by Janelle on
Cipher Operation Donut Drop yesterday and all of our listeners
contributions today.
Speaker 1 (01:18:48):
But to da Farewell, Yeah yeah, that's that's a ship.
That's that's it. That's a show. Big rich tdum fletch
out can be speak true.
Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
In soberno say hi, see you later.
Speaker 8 (01:19:27):
I'll pick you up at the quarters to three, Okay,
God
