What would you do if a close friend's spouse suddenly admitted they've been in love with you for years?

Things get real on this episode of Billy The Kidd In The Morning as Billy the Kidd, Candice Lopez, and Producer Pooh tackle one of the most jaw-dropping Dirty Little Secrets they've heard in a long time. A listener reveals that during a Fourth of July party, a longtime friend confessed feelings he's allegedly harbored for years leaving her questioning everything she thought she knew about their friendship and what happens next. The crew dives into trust, emotional connections, marriage boundaries, and whether keeping a secret like this from your spouse is ever okay. It's one of those conversations that will have you debating all day long.

This week's Candice Court tackles a relationship dilemma that has listeners divided.

A new mom is struggling with her husband's upcoming work trip to Las Vegas when she learns his ex-wife who has previously tried to rekindle their relationship will be attending the same convention and staying at the same hotel

Speaker 4 (01:23):
Yesterday I ended up taking my son. We drove by
my old intermediate school in Duncanville because we just happened
to be in the area.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
And so I looked on the map and I was.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Like, where is Brandenburg Intermediate School?

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Wow, Yeah, that's where I went for fifth and sixth grade.
And so I remember when I went there. We were
the first kids to ever go.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
To that school. It was brand new when I.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Was in fifth grade, right, yeah, And so we did
like a time capsule and we put a bunch of
stuff in.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
It and buried it. And I don't know what year
they were supposed to dig it up. Yeah, I never
heard when they were doing that. Maybe they did it
while you know, I was living in a you know
a way, And do.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
You remember what you put in the time capsule.

Speaker 4 (02:00):
No, I don't remember, and I wish I kept in
contact with any of the people that went to that school.
I could probably find some of them. Actually, I know
one on Facebook. I should probably hit up and ask.
But we put a bunch of stuff in there. They
were supposed to dig it up. I don't know when
that happened, but I drove my son by there yesterday
and just looked.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
So different to me. But they cool memories.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Of like fifth and sixth grade, because you know, you thought.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
You were so cool, so cool.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Yeah, people were making like paper.

Speaker 4 (02:25):
Clip braces and pretending, you know, I mean just being
like super cool, wearing Adidas and things like that, super
cool things that haven't changed when we were not cool.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Yeah, Like in sixth grade, I was the epitome of
not cool.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Really.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Oh no, I had like this weird side spike hair,
and it was like, it's just no.

Speaker 6 (02:46):
For me.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
I was. I was in the band.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I was to.

Speaker 7 (02:52):
Have a short lived Yeah. I went in because I
wanted to play the drums. But the teacher, she was
like a German lady. She goes, no, you have the
big lips. You need to put the trumpet stop.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah, she's like no, no, no, drum, you need to trump.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
That's so cream.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
It was probably fine.

Speaker 7 (03:17):
Yeah, okay, one semester I was out.

Speaker 6 (03:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I was in band for like a minute two because
I wanted to play saxophone because it looks so cool,
you know, like you were so cool if you played.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
The saxophone, Kenny.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
But Scott Surson got the saxophone and I got the
trombone quick BANDI yeah, yeah, here you get trombone, Billy,
No thanks, those cases.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
The kids had to carry the trombone case to school always.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
It was so cringe. Either way, that's cool that you
got to do that.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah, it was cute.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
He was really like awe of how much like outside
space we had at that school.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I wanted to take this summer take a trip to
take my son back to where I grew up, and
I didn't get a chance. Hopefully we still can, but
it's just well that's one of my things I really
want to do before he gets too old. He's fifteen.
You know, I think you would have really appreciated now.
Probably not, but I would. Yeah, so yeah, we'll took
a trip from me. Either way, that's what you got
to do. That. I'm pretty sure pre here, what's up here?

(04:17):
Yesterday I was on a world tour.

Speaker 7 (04:19):
So where I live, it's like one street is Saxy,
another street is Garland. So sometimes my packages will be
addressed to a Garland address. Same address what but yeah,
Garland zip code. It's so weird. So I was waiting
on this part of my ottoman for my new cap
set of order and then FedEx dropped off the little thing.
I had to go way over to mckennie, the McKenny

(04:41):
hub in McKinnie, Texas.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Go over there, they said, no, it's not there. Then
I had to go up.

Speaker 7 (04:47):
They sent me to almost to Frisco, and then from
Frisco I end up in Addison and.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
That's where it is. What And that's where I picked
it up. I was like, why would you do that?
Why don't you just say, hey, deliver it to me. No,
what does your address have to do with that? No,
Because that's what I'm saying. They said they tried to
send it to me and they didn't.

Speaker 8 (05:07):
So when it went back to the main hub which
goes all the way to McKinny, and I was like,
I don't even live nowhere near, but I guess packages
go to mckinniy, then they go to Wiley and then
they go to Zaxi in Garland.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
So it was real weird.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
But yeah, I was all over the place yesterday just
to get a piece of my ottoman.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
So now my couch is complete, just send it together.
No wayfair? Did some wayfair pieces? You should have just
said that, well now you had a complete ottoman. Yea, yeah,
everything's completely wow, look at you poo. Can we get

(05:46):
a tour? Why did you get it? To tour of
the You know? I don't want to go, but I
want you want to go to a house, to my house.
Sometimes it takes so long to get an invite. Then
it's then it's like too late. Then you don't want
to go out of Spike. Now I never want to.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
Go to his house. So we still haven't got an
invite though.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
Twenty five years of thirty almost for me, Have I
never been to any of Pooh's establishments? Yes, you have.
You come to my older apartments, but you.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
Never never came in, so you never came inside.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
No, it was always I was always in a hurry.
No I wasn't invited. Everybody has parties, people have people
over No. But according to Pooh, I mean his life
is so well put together. He's got a Nooman. Yeah,
he's showing off.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Now I got a new count He's got a he's
got two chargers.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
Yeah, I got a coffee table. I got the coffee
table from you.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
But yeah, I think Pooh's life is more together than mine.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Behind the scenes, might be right, he's got two Like
maybe I just expected like chaos in his apartment, but
when I've seen pictures, there's like two night stands. Yeah,
matching sheets and betting of course.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Right, he's got some important things on the fridge still there.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Yeah, yes, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
Drawing from Enzo all right, I know I zoomed into
one of his Instagram stories, did yeah, on Who's County.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
You're fat person?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
It zooms in.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
Well, yeah, because I saw the picture Enzo drew him.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
You zoomed in. That's how you found out I had
two chargers. I know. Yeah, I love zooming in. Don't
send me pick I'm zooming in. We gotttle.

Speaker 9 (07:32):
It's Texas Tough Stories on the Tents with Billy the
Kid in the.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
Morning only on the new mix one O two point nine.
It is Thursday. Candice Slow pants, what's going on?

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Well, a state of emergency has been declared across fifty
nine Texas counties as historic flooding continues in the Hill Country.
Seventy five water rescues have already happened.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
In Uvalde County.

Speaker 4 (07:53):
Uh, They've had half a year's worth of rain there.
We're talking up to twenty inches I.

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Think at the peak.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
Yesterday they said at least one hundred and fourteen roads
in Texas were flooded. They even had an E F
one tornado near San Antonio. So I saw that this
weather is crazy.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
I don't remember it being like this, and I always
said that the other day. But and I'm not saying
that it's a conspiracy, but it might be.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
Yeah, I swear, I don't know what to think anymore.
I've never seen anything like this. I was born and
raised in Texas.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Right, Sometimes I feel like they're just messing with the
weather and manipulating the weather. Somehow.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
I get down these conspiracies and I'm like.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Oh, the same I've seen them.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Billy, Stop Billy. There's like charts and all these graphs
that there might be some cloud seating and all this stuff.
And then I start going down that rabbit hole like
ten pm.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Oh yeah, don't go down it at night.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I dough oh right up, and I died right in
And then all of a sudden, I am wide awake,
and I'm like, where's the cloud's eating happen?

Speaker 4 (08:50):
Yeah, I mean, it's hard not to go down those
rabbit holes sometimes, but I've just learned to question everything
on all sides.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah, you know, well either way, they're suffering down. So
I have friends in Bernie and I know it's OK.

Speaker 4 (09:02):
Yeah, yeah, they're expecting more rounds of heavy rain today
that won't really let up until tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
This rain just like sits there.

Speaker 1 (09:08):
You know.

Speaker 4 (09:08):
It's just slow moving, and it's really devastating for these areas,
especially after what we went through last year.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Guys, we'll switch gears for a second.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
I should have known this was gonna happen when I
saw Spirit Halloween store setting up already.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Oh no, yeah, one hundred percent.

Speaker 4 (09:22):
But you can now buy home Depots Halloween collection, including
their updated twelve foot Skelly eleven foot Mummy, and then
there are three piece animated Grimlins, among other things.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
What already it is July?

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Yeah, I know, right, yeah it is. I just checked sixteenth.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
It's the sixteenth. We already have Halloween stuff out.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
Yeah, they're available online. They're not in stores just yet.
But I did see the Spirit Halloween store setting up
getting ready.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
So I mean, as soon as July fourth ends, we're.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Just all out of a fault. Because I looked the
other day. I was trying to find a pool floating
and it was at Walmart and I'm like, well, let
me find a pool floating real quick. And I went
to the section where they normally have the seasonal stuff.
Oh yeah, already back to school stuff. Yeah, floating's gone. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Wow, that's sad when the floating section.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Is gone in July. I want the floating section.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
I like to see the water toys, the goggles, the towel, right.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
All the things.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Don't have them right now, can't It's coming. You can
find them, but it's just random stuff.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Right for sure. Guys, did you see this woman in
Florida who has.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
Gone viral for her state issued license plate. She's kind
of becoming a local celebrity there.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
So she's the seventy six year old woman.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Everyone in her retirement community is talking about this. So
she got her license plate from the DMV and it reads.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
This, Oh god, s q z A five to five.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
So from far away it looks like squeeze squeeze A
two s is no way.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, I know she's talking to the news about it.
It's going viral online. I guess her.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Her county is offered to replace the plate for free,
but she says her sons and their friends think she
should just keep it.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
Keep it. Oh that's hysterical. I heard she went. But
was this the woman who got mad? I see, I
had to read the story. She got mad because of
this plate.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
She did, and then she started talking to people and
they started loving it for her. But if she keeps it,
it's gonna be like ten.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
Years that she would have to keep this plate.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
How old is she?

Speaker 2 (11:20):
She's seventy six.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
If I saw a granny driving down Preston right, yeah,
I don't know why Preston as it said, squeeze you
know what? Yeah? I would die. I love it so good?
Keep it granny.

Speaker 4 (11:35):
Yeah, it's hard not to think that, Like, if you
just passed her on the road, you would think that
she requested that, you know, because it looks like a.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Custom does look like custom vanity plate?

Speaker 2 (11:43):
Yeah, it's not it's not. I'll keep you posting on
what she does.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Right now.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
She's thinking about keeping it. She put it on her car.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
She should granny get it. Squeeze it, Yeah, squeeze me. Yeah,
that's what it's kind of saying.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
There you go. All right, I'm Kando Slopez.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Those are your Texas top stories on Mixed one or
two points.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
First caller of the day right now, Hawaiian falls got
a four pack of passes. Who's this? It's Mark? Mark?
What's going on?

Speaker 6 (12:09):
Good?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Time to work?

Speaker 9 (12:10):
Good?

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Well, guess what you're calling? Number one? Congratulation. There you go, Mark,
How you been I've been pretty good. Just dying in
the heat. Yeah, I know it's hot. At least today,
it's not that bad. It's like eighty nine ninety today
that it could be worse for July. Yeah, as we
sit inside and work in the ac right, yeah, give

(12:32):
it a few hours and that's you never.

Speaker 9 (12:34):
Know when it's gonna jump into a hundred degree.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Well, you never know. It does feel like muggy out
there though, today. So either way, Mark, thank you man,
We appreciate you listening. We'll give it this four pack.
You're also in the running for four season passes too.
Hawaiian falls. Awesome, stay right there, Mark, Thank you. Yeah,
I mean shout out to all of our construction workers,
the traffic people that I see working on the side
of the road in this heat, the delivery drivers. My

(12:58):
ups man yesterday he delivered some for me. I felt
like his shorts were extra short.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
It's hot.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
It's hot. No, I'm not hating on him, but I
mean he was. He was. He had some serious hootie daddyform. Yeah,
and then he waved me. I tried to wait till he,
you know, went away. His human interaction is weird for me,
and that, you know, I didn't want to he didn't
want to answer the door while he was dropping it off,
So I waited until he got like kind of almost

(13:24):
to the truck, and then I opened the door and
he heard it and then he turned around.

Speaker 5 (13:28):
Oh, and then he waved to me.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
I was like, oh, hey, thanks man. Locked eyes, but
we did.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
Wow, we locked eyes. Things slowed down.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
I realized you were wearing the same shorts. Yeah, no, no,
you don't have your daddy.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
My shorts were much shorter. Okay, when I'm at home,
you should see how my short shorts on imagine, give
me lucky if I have shorts on. All right, really
fake news. Now that I've ruined your breakfast, Here you go,
headline number one. I'm going to give you three headlines,
going to tell me which one is fake? Okay? First headline,

(14:04):
man steals kitten, then uses it to rob a bank
next door, Man steals kitten, then uses it to rob
a bank next door. Headline number one. Headline number two.
Research shows that eighty one percent of Americans can identify
their favorite fast food restaurant by the smell alone. Research

(14:24):
shows that eighty one percent of Americans can identify their
favorite fast food restaurant by the smell alone eighty one percent.
Headline number three. Three A New York school will deploy
a humanoid robot teacher this fall. What a New York
school will deploy a humanoid robot teacher this fall? We're

(14:48):
already talking about that. If it's real, if it's a
real story, you decide, Candice, you get first pick, or
you could pass it to Pooh, which one is the
fake story out of those three.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I actually saw one of those humanoid robots when I
was on vacation or the summer. Yeah, it was about
the same height as me. Really, yeah, creepy, I could,
I guess.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I guess I could see that happen. Locked me in
for the second story.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Yeah, the fast food smell really yeah, you don't think.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
That's I mean, I feel like all of us could really,
I know, I know, like certain smells, like you know
when it's McDonald's.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Yeah, okay, you.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Know, like there's no way you don't know. Yeah, I
mean every fast food place besides to me, like Wendy's.
I don't know if i'd be able to smell Wendy's.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
I think I could smell Burger King actually, because.

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Whatever, Yeah, the whopper sniff out everyone.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
That's true. Okay, maybe I'm wrong.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Whatever, Lock me in, You're locked in, all right, Producer
po one of these stories is fake.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
You got to guess which one? Which one is it?

Speaker 9 (15:48):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (15:48):
Lock me in for the first story, dude stilling the
cat then using them as an accessory.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Okay, all right, let's lock that in. Locked in. The
winner today is can Path You won, Candace. I made
that one up. Dang, I thought I was gonna get
you on that. I don't know why I thought I
was gonna stump you on that one.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yeah, there's a lot of people that can spell that.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
We should literally take poo to do this challenge because
I think, what if we find like his true talent. Yeah,
I think he.

Speaker 5 (16:28):
Would be able to tell every single one.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
I'm pretty sure I really the only one he might
drive around, Yeah, the only one he might struggle with
is Long John Silvers.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Oh. I haven't smelled a Long John.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
I haven't either, but yeah, I probably could smell. You
Know what's funny is a lot of people in for
the World Cup when they were talking about their favorite
fast food restaurants, Huh, we're saying Long John Silvers, which
surprised me. I don't know if it's just because fish
is more of a big thing in their diet, right,
fish and chips over, But they were all like, oh,
Long John Silvers, you guys are so lucky, And I'm like,

(17:06):
when I drive by Long John Silvers, I'm like, how
are they still in business? And I'm not saying they're bad. No,
I'll take some fish and chips. Yeah, we've been here
for a hotman.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
Oh the crispy all the time when I was a kid, Yeah,
you asked for the crispies on the side.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
They just give you the extress.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I don't know if that's a thing.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
It used to be.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
You say it's a thing, but I'm not sure. All right,
let's get to the real stories and forget your nonsense
over the canvas. Yeah. Man steals a kitten then uses
it to rob a bank. A man in Maryland went
into a pet store on Monday, stole a three month
old rescue kitten named Magnolia from the cat adoption area.

(17:42):
Then he went next door to the P and C
bank and used Magnolia as an accessory to attempt to
rob this bank. He went in with the cat in
his arms, walked right up to a bank employee and said,
can you hold this kitten, and then wrote a note
and handed it to the teller that said give me
all your cat.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Yeah, someone alerted the police. The response was super quick,
so matter of fact, the pet store employees already called
the police because they noticed Magnoli was gone.

Speaker 5 (18:11):
So this idiot steals something next.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Door, they already call the police because they're like, that
idiot just stole our kitten. So the police were already
on their way. They're like, for whatever reason, he stole
our cat and then want next door, so they caught
the guy. I just don't. I mean, that's why you're
a criminal. Though you're an idiot in the first place,
so needless to say, he's in jail. Magnolia is safe.
The only three month old kitten to be an accessory

(18:35):
or robbery, right, I mean, poor kitten.

Speaker 5 (18:38):
I love kittens. I might not be the biggest.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Cat, guy kitty, then they grow up and get on
your cat. I don't mind cats, all right. A New
York school going to terrify kids by deploying a humanoid
robot this fall. This story just makes me so angry
because I love teachers. We have so many great teachers.
So the fact that some school district in New York

(19:02):
is going to buy a humanoid robot to be there
with the kids, and it's a full on humanoid robot,
like full on. The robot's name is Sally. Now, it's
not going to replace a classroom teacher, but it's programmed
to provide learning support to both students and teachers. What
so Sally has a lifelike appearance. Yeah, like silicone skin,

(19:26):
long brown hair.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
That's weird. The robot I saw a robot.

Speaker 5 (19:30):
Now, this looks like a humanoid robot.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
So yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
I was confused by what humanoid.

Speaker 5 (19:35):
Meant exactly, long brown hair.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Oh no, we're not doing that.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
She has a whole outfit on.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
The weird part is she's going to address the kids,
but not by their names. The students will be given numbers,
so you can walk up to Sally and be like, Hi,
I'm student one two three. Yes, now you're just a number,
and she's going to be like, oh, hi, one two three.
Were we talking about your math filmework yesterday? Oh?

Speaker 3 (20:02):
No?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
And they will have a discussion.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
No.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
And then here's the worst part. If I'm a teacher,
I'm so mad about this. She's gonna sit randomly in
the back of some classes and correct the teachers if
they miss something. That's what it says in a story.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
I thought you say you get a snitch on everybody.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
No, well, probably that too. Can you imagine that your
school district pays one hundred thousand dollars for a humanoid
robot while you're being underpaid, and this robot is gonna
correct you from the back of the class.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Yeah, I am not.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
Charging you, Yeah, for sure, I'm.

Speaker 5 (20:36):
Unplugging you, Sally.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
Sally, Yeah, why Sally. Yeah, that's weird ew nineteen. Either way,
we're gonna have a humanoid robot in the studio no
to replace pooh No forget ay, I we got pooh Ie.
It's gonna be it's gonna be huge. Tony Little Secret
coming up at seven thirty. You're ready for that. It's
mixed one on two point nine. Good Morning, Billy the

(20:59):
Kid can't pez is here producer poo is here. I
saw this yesterday and I thought it was amazing because
I don't know, I just like inspirational, motivational things. So
if I see like a thread that says something cheesy motivational,
I dive right in.

Speaker 6 (21:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Do you saw that app on your phone that puts
the quote on your home screen?

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Kenny, So you're making fun of me? I like that,
Well it started, but I also there's a balance because
I also get annoyed easy right. So this this app
was putting a motivational quote on my screen every day,
but then it was chiming me when it.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Did it, and I was like, shut up.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
So movated. I know when I want to be motivated,
don't tell me when I need to be motivated. That's
what it was that's what that's not psycho at all.
But I saw this thread and I was like, this
is some good inspiring stuff right here. And one of
the one of the things that somebody said in this
piece of advice, they were talking about one sentence that
completely changed their life once. Maybe it's a quote, maybe

(22:02):
it's something that somebody said to you that just stuck
with you. And I know I have one, but there
was one on this that just wow. Yeah, like gave
me the chills when I heard it. I'm gonna get
to it coming out, But Candice, do you have one?

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Yeah, because I remember Oprah Winfrey saying this.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
I used to watch Oprah every day back in the
day day, but she would always say this maya Angelou
sent in.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
So it's a quote that.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Said when someone shows you who they are, believed in
the first time.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
And I was like, wow, that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
You're not like hoping they're going to change, They're like
makee excuses.

Speaker 6 (22:32):
You know.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
It was like a big, big one for it, and
that stuck with you.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Yeah, It's weird how some of these things will stick
with you like that. That is a good one. When
somebody shows you who they are, believe them yeah, the
first time. That is so true. Yes, yeah, the first time.
Don't wait till the fifteenth times.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Stop ignoring the red flags.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
That is so true. Okay, poo, you have what I'm
interested to see? Pooh, I do.

Speaker 7 (22:51):
I do because you know, I like mafia movies and
stuff like that. Michael Corleone said something in The Godfather
that's resonnated within me, and that's keep your friends close,
but your enemies closer. Okay, yeah, so you could always
watch who's hating on.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
You, you know what, how they move. Yeah, that's kind of
negative though, why. I mean, no, I get it. That's
a famous thing, you know, keep your enemies close or
your friends close, your enemies closer. Yeah. I don't know
if I want to live by that.

Speaker 2 (23:18):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
I don't know. I just like to keep the people. Wait,
we're not in the mafia. Yeah I know, but but
that's a good one.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
I want to be in the mafia.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
Kind of when I was a kid, Yeah, I did.
But then I heard you got to, like, you know,
do stuff that's illegal. Yeah, and I'm like, well it
seems cool. You got to cut your finger and then
exactly like wild to be honest, when I was young.
I grew up in a in an area that had
some gangs and stuff like that, and I thought about
it for a minute, right, I was like, I think
I want to be in a gang.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (23:48):
No, I mean it sounds cool, you know, and I
didn't want to get like beat up.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
In high school. I think I'm going to join a gang.
And then I found out that you had to get
beat up to get in it. Yea by the people
that are in your gang. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:00):
And I was like, you know, I'm not gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
You gotta get jumped in. I'm trying to do that.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Are good enough?

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Right?

Speaker 5 (24:06):
Yeah, I just pretend to be in a game.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
I just protected. I have one that my grandpa always
used to say, and I don't know why. It's always
stuck with me when you're winning, fight like you're losing.

Speaker 9 (24:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
And he said it to me when it was like
on a baseball team that was really good, right, and
we all started getting cocky and he's like, no, listen,
And for whatever reason, that is always just being that
once thing that's stuck with me, and I like it. Now.
Some of these, though, are really good that people were
talking about on the thread. This one said, don't cling
to a mistake just because you spent a long time

(24:39):
making it. Whoa, that's a good one. I like that one.
I also like this one. Just because you're offended doesn't
mean you're right. Oh, it's a good one. You could
now This one I loved. You could be the juiciest
peach in the whole wide world and there's still be
somebody who just doesn't like peaches. Isn't that a good Now?

(25:03):
That's something like your grandma would say, Yeah, you know, some.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
People just don't like peaches, babe for real.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
This one, though, really stuck with me as a parent,
and I think this will hit you guys too. This
one that gave me the chills. You either face your
demons or they'll raise your children. Ooh, I was like, wait,
read that you either face your demons or they'll raise
your children. Yeah, okay, neither. Sam going to therapy later today.

Speaker 10 (25:36):
Top stories on the Tents with Billy the Kid in
the Morning only one two point nine.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
It heads up jackpop for free groceries is up to
two thousand dollars too grand Right now, I'm gonna call
somebody eight o'clock. I can't believe yesterday nobody answered. Some
of the people who didn't answer a DM and me like,
I can't believe I missed it. Yeah, I know, I'm sorry.
I wish you could change it. But the fact of
the matter is you gotta answer. You gotta say I
want my two point nine. When you answer, you could
sign up on the iHeartRadio app, find us Mix one

(26:04):
o two point nine, hit that little talkback mic right
there and just say that I want my Mix one
O two point nine. I'm gonna call somebody at eight o'clock,
Cannae Lopez, what is going on? Well?

Speaker 4 (26:12):
Post Malone will headline the closing ceremony for the World
Cup this Sunday at New York New Jersey Stadium. It
starts at one point thirty. Of course, it celebrates the
World Cup wrapping up.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
That was pretty cool news to hear that.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
You know, we've got all these big names that are
going to be there this weekend by post Malone.

Speaker 5 (26:29):
Perfect got how much money does FIFA has.

Speaker 4 (26:33):
Well, I mean, based on the ticket prices, they got plenty.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah that's true.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, that's true. I'm looking forward to that.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I mean, between the halftime, he got Bieber Shakira and
all these Janna tom Cruise flying in on a parachute whatever.
Then post Malone closing it out. That should be good.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Yeah, it should be.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
By the way, we just got the police department recap
of everything here and they said they made fifty one.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Arrests across all of our matches.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
That match between Spain and Portugal on July sixth, that
was the busiest for They said they made thirteen arrests
at that one of everything from trademark counterfeiting, criminal trespass,
and public intoxication.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
But the FBI also said they sees that ninety six
drones that.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Were violating the flight restrictions across the World Cup here
at Dallas Stadium. So just interesting to see them, you know,
kind of look back at at everything that went down.
But by the way, FanFest is closed today and tomorrow,
but it will open back up for the matches this
weekend and.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
Then that's the end, okay, and then it's over.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Yeah, but it's weird that they're playing for third place.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
I don't get that. Maybe that's because I just don't
get the whole thing, but I'm kind of getting into it. Yeah, same,
and I'm watching soccer for the first time. Yeah. Really,
But the fact that two of the losers play to
fight for the third place, yeah, bizarre. Like I'm gonna
be like, no, thanks, I don't like I'm not going
to compete to be the first loser, right exactly. Kind
of a weird thing. But one of the most fascinating

(27:52):
facts about this whole match to me coming up with
the finals is one of the guys you forget his name,
what's his name of Lamel? That guy from Spain, the
guy from Spain. There's a player from Spain who's eighteen.
Oh okay, Oh gosh, I knew I was gonna forget.
I know either way, he's obviously they're facing Argentina with Messi,
right Messi. There's a commercial from eighteen years ago where

(28:17):
Messi is bathing this kid. That is why when he
was a baby it was a UNISEF commercial, okay, and
he's literally a I mean a newborn baby and Messi's
twenty years old at the time and he's pretending to
bathe this kid for some UNISEF commercial And now they're
facing each other in the World Cup finals.

Speaker 2 (28:38):
Life is so funny in that way.

Speaker 1 (28:40):
It's the smallest big world ever. Yeah, for sure, what
a weird thing to happen. Yeah, it's just we're in
a simulation. Anyway, keeps go.

Speaker 4 (28:48):
Ahead, I know, guys, listen to this little food news
for you. Camel soup is getting into the protein craze
with a new line of five protein soups.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
So they're made with a bone bra the base, which
makes sense.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
They have twenty grams of protein, so they'll stand out
because they have a green label when you find them
in the store. But the flavors are everything from Southwest
black bean to Mediterranean lentil, and I just feel like
what else needs protein?

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Soup makes sense because it's bone.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
Broth and it's you're awesome. Yeah, I knew you were
going to do the protein story.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
What's fascinating? How much like now we have protein coffee, Like,
can't you? I think it's Starbucks. There's like a protein
version of that.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
It's a big trend right now.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Obestly, I mean the brownies.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
Do you know what's next? What is the parasite trend?
They're gonna start putting the parasites and things on purpose well.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Because people are saying they're losing fifteen pounds on this thing,
and they're like, why am I taking this to lose weight?

Speaker 1 (29:41):
Yeah, forgetto zempi. People are trying to catch the parasite.
I know, isn't that insane? Insane? I mean, don't do this.
I can't be back to say it, but I mean,
I'm going to No. No, I was at Kroger yesterday
just eating ross cilantra. I'm about to look hot in August.
I'm about to look slim lean. Give me the protein
and parasites.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Real quick, guys.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
HGTV just announced the new renovation competition series called Totally
Nineties House, and they're bringing back some of our favorite
TV stars from the nineties.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
So Jollil White is going to host the show.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Melissa Joan Hart will be part of it, Jody Sweeten,
Matthew Lawrence, It's a whole list of nineties TV show stars.

Speaker 2 (30:24):
Yeah, Beverly Mitchell will be a part of it.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
At six episodes are going to split into two teams
and transform homes that are stuck in the nineties.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
It premieres August twenty six.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
I thought they were going to take houses and make
them into the nineties.

Speaker 4 (30:36):
I did two at first, but no, these are people
that need to get in the oka at.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
The times the program like what was a big nineties
trend as far as homes.

Speaker 4 (30:45):
You think, I remember our house had teal carpet at
one point.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
The house we bought in ninety three, was it ninety three?

Speaker 6 (30:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:52):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Did it have plastic on the couches?

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Probably on the lamps, on the lamp sheets.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
One of our houses had that. Would Oh yeah, so
that is coming back.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
So there's a way to make it trendy.

Speaker 1 (31:05):
They figured it out, find a way. I remember there
were certain couches we couldn't sit on as.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
Kids, Yeah, in the formal living room.

Speaker 1 (31:11):
Yeah, and the plastic couch was one of them. I'm
like Grandma, nobody wants to sit on the plastic couch.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
It's not even comfortable.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
We're going to stick to it. Get in your whole five.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Exactly what a time. I'm Cando slow Pez. Those are
your Texas top stories. Off to promise you'll feel better.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Welcome to the dirty Little Secret.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
It is time to confess. It's makes one o two
point nine Happy Thursday.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
It's bail like a kid. Canda slow Pez over there,
producer poo over here in your Secrets at eight three, three, seven,
eight seven one o two nine. Okay, bring it. It's
a no judgment zone. We listen, but we don't judge. Yeah,
sort of okay, and we don't judge hard. Okay, we're
friendly judging all right now. If you have when you
just called her, you can DM me at Billy on
the radio and you do. So what's going on?

Speaker 6 (31:56):
Well, my husband and I were to a huge Work
of July party with our group of friends. And we've
all known each other since college, and we're talking about
a big party. There were maybe sixty seventy people there. Well,
at one point, my husband was inside and I was
just sitting by the fire when my friend's husband came

(32:17):
over and sat down next to me, Which seemed normal, right.
I've known him forever, he's been married for years. He's
one of those guys you would never ever expect to
cross a line.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
Oh god, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
He wasn't stumbling around drunk either. So he sits down
next to me, like flops himself down, and he looked
at me and said, I know this was coming out
of nowhere, but I feel like I got to say it.
I've always been in love with you.

Speaker 1 (32:46):
What he's always been in love with you?

Speaker 6 (32:52):
Yes, yes, in love. I thought he was joking.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
I really did, But how do you know he wasn't.
For sure, he wasn't and he wasn't drunk. So he's
just coming out of nowhere and saying this.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
Yeah, just just what I mean? I was flabb or
he acted.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
What do you even say? How do you react when
this happens? I don't know what I would do.

Speaker 6 (33:13):
My words just got caught in my throat. But he continued,
so I didn't have to say anything yet. He told
me that he'd always felt this like special connection and
that sometimes he wonders if he married the wrong woman.

Speaker 1 (33:29):
Oh god, you two never had anything like any kind
of weird things beforehand or in the past. It's because
you said you've known each.

Speaker 6 (33:38):
Other not at all. That's the crazy part. There was
never some secret romance or almost relationship. We've just known
each other forever. Yeah, and we're all in the same
friend group period.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
That's it, right.

Speaker 6 (33:53):
So I'll keep replaying this moment because I wish I
had shut it down immediately. I wish i'd said stop,
don't say that.

Speaker 9 (34:02):
Instead.

Speaker 6 (34:02):
All I could get out was I don't know what
to say.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
So you said, so you said, I don't. So you
told him after he says this, you say, I don't
know what to say, you know, because it.

Speaker 6 (34:13):
Was just so shocking, you know what I'm saying, Like
you either have a lot to say or nothing. It's
like fight or flight, you know, and I just froze instead.

Speaker 10 (34:24):
I get that.

Speaker 1 (34:25):
I get it you kind of shut down in the
moment in shock. But I don't know what you do
after this. This never happened to me.

Speaker 6 (34:31):
No, That's what I feel guilty about because I walked
back inside because they didn't say anything, you know, not
because I encouraged him. I absolutely didn't. But the hardest
part to admit is I do understand what he meant.
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (34:47):
I love.

Speaker 6 (34:49):
My husband with everything I have, Like, I would never
do anything to jeopardize my marriage. But over the past
few years him and I have become closer friends. And
I'm one of the only people that knows his wife
had an affair with a co worker a while back.
Oh yeah, that knows. They went to counseling and they

(35:11):
stayed together ever since that happened. You know, I've never
noticed him, but I noticed it on my end. He's
looked at me just a little bit differently, and he's
treated me a little bit differently. I always thought he
was an incredible husband, a great dad, and just an
all around good guy, y'all. I'd be lying if I
said I didn't feel that connection to not enough you. Yes,

(35:36):
I do, but but let me not in a romantic way,
just something that was different, something so I didn't. I
wasn't even sure he knew, you know. So that's why
this scares me.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Have you told your husband, no, y'all, just you.

Speaker 6 (35:55):
I haven't told any of my friends.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
Has he followed up as he texts, you called, you
pulled your aside again, or it's nothing, it's been just
ever since then, there's been no contact.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
Well, I haven't really reached he hasn't reached out. We
haven't talk.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
This is kind of what happens, though, when you open
yourself up emotionally to anybody who's vulnerable. And I'm not
saying you did anything wrong, because you know, especially if
your husband's aware that he was cheated on and he
knows the situation, then it feels like, well, we're just
being good friends.

Speaker 3 (36:24):
By that.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Yeah, but that would but you gotta tell your husband
there's I just don't see a way around it. If
I found out that, you know, my girlfriend or wife,
that one of my friends went to her and said this,
I would be so devastated if she didn't tell me. Yeah,
but like I said, I.

Speaker 6 (36:41):
Would do nothing to jeopardize my relate I.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Know, and I'm not saying you would, but it is
kind of I would be nervous if you were. If
you were my wife and you told me, I mean,
I do notice that we did have a connection of
some sort of not romantic way. I don't like that.
I'd be like, wait, can't tell me, what do you
mean a connection? We definitely ain't going to the Labor
Day party, right, Well, you've got to let us know

(37:06):
what happens and if anything else does go down, and
let us know.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
Oh yeah, thank you, I will thank you guys so much.

Speaker 1 (37:13):
Well you're welcome. Hang on, what uh yeah, what in
the world I'm not. I don't want to say she's lying,
because I don't think she necessarily is. But it's fird
to me that you say, there you do feel something.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Yeah, the whole thing's weird. I don't like this spread group.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
I don't Yeah, way too close when someone open it.
I feel like when guys get cheated on it. Maybe
I'm crazy. When guys get cheated on it, they look
at it as like an automatic. Well now I can cheat, right,
you know what I mean? Yeah, so like, well she cheated,
so I mean, yeah, it shouldn't work like that. She's
got one on the board. Let me get one on
the board and then it's fair. Ye. Not'm saying it's right,

(37:48):
but I feel like that happens again. Court it gets
settled here with Billy the Kid in the morning, All
rise and get out your phones too if you don't
have it, because you got to sign up. I mean, seriously,
before we start this sports session, you don't realize the
free grocery jackpot is up to two thousand dollars right now.
That is so much money. And I'm gonna call someone
coming up next. So like eight o'clock, if your phone rings,

(38:10):
you better answered. I want my Mix one O two
point nine for this two thousand dollars. Otherwise it keeps
going up. I'll call somebody else at nine. But I mean,
come on, you gotta sign up quick. iHeartRadio. If you
don't have it, go to Mix one O two nine
find us on there. There's a little mic on your screen.
Tap that mic and say it just practice. I want
my mix one O two point nine and you'd be
signed up. All right, Cannas Court CANDUs who you're ready judge?

(38:31):
All right, good morning guys. Please help me. I've been
battling my husband about a work trip he has coming up.
And here's why. He's got a work trip happening next
month in Las Vegas. It's a convention, so his whole
office is going. The problem is that it's ex wife
works in the same industry as well as him and
will also be there, and every company attending the convention

(38:52):
is staying at the same hotel. I would go with him,
but I just had a baby, so there's just no way.
Ex has tried to get back together with him several
times while he has been with me, so I don't
trust her at all. I appreciate my husband being honest
and telling me she was going to be staying in
the same hotel, and while I don't think he would

(39:13):
cheat on me with her, I hate this. I hate it.
I told him I want him to stay at a
hotel off the strip, but he says he needs to
want to pay for a hotel when his company's paying
for him to stay at the other one. Am I
being unreasonable not wanting him to stay at the same
hotel as his crazy ex? Oh this is a good one.

(39:35):
It's a good one, Candice. I mean, what an interesting
dilemma to be in. But sometimes he's conventions, that's what happens.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
Yeah, you're not being unreasonable for not wanting him to
stay there.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
Now, maybe having to pay for a hotel just so
he's not that's tough.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Well, you do what you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah, I mean sorry, I.

Speaker 4 (39:53):
Hate that he's even going to this. Part of me
wants to be like, he can't go because we have
a baby.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
Right, can you skip the convention?

Speaker 1 (40:00):
First of all, can I just say something Conventions are
just a reason for employees to get hammered? Oh god, yeah,
are there?

Speaker 5 (40:09):
Maybe it's just my industry or our industry were conventions
are a joke?

Speaker 4 (40:13):
Well remember our friends that just went to like that
beauty convention in Vegas or whatever. Our friend was talking
about how he went with his wife and they were
just like raging.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
Right, They're like, oh yeah, Vegas.

Speaker 1 (40:22):
During the day, we you know, walked around whatever the convention,
but then we were really just there to drink. Yeah.
I feel like these conventions are just an excuse for
these companies to go crazy.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Yeah, but get it.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
I could be wrong. I don't know. Some conventions might
be worth it might be very professional, But I would
not be okay with this.

Speaker 4 (40:40):
This would be a struggle for me, especially if I'm
home with the new baby while you're out here doing this.

Speaker 2 (40:45):
But she trusts him, which is good.

Speaker 4 (40:47):
And I mean he told her if he like was
up to something, why would he tell her my ex
wife's gonna.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Be there exactly. Yeah, he'd be hiding it from the start.

Speaker 7 (40:56):
So you just need to learn to trust me, trust
in your man, Trust that I ain't gonna do nothing
with her.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
I'm going out there to do my thing and bring
home the money. I see what you're saying. But at
the same time, I think you can trust somebody and
still be in an uncomfortable situation that you would rather avoid.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 1 (41:12):
I trust you, But this and she's I mean, I'm assuming,
I don't know. She's emotional, she just had a child.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Yeah, she's got a lot on her plate. She's where
you are, and she is I.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
Would probably just for I don't know, the sake of
her sanity and less worry. Be like, yeah, let me
just stay at a different hotel. Yeah, I would probably
do that. Who's gonna call me assume, Peter? I mean
you are?

Speaker 7 (41:34):
Why are you gonna spend money like you gotta trust?
If I haven't done anything to break your trust? Why
would I start?

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Now?

Speaker 3 (41:41):
I know?

Speaker 1 (41:41):
But it's not even just about trust to me. It's
about how can I go. If she was always doing
stuff to try to control me, it'd be different. But
if this is one of the situations that she's brought
up that makes her uncomfortable, why would I not want
to avoid it If it's less stress on.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Her, Yeah, to give her a peace of mind.

Speaker 4 (41:57):
But at the same time, you're still going to be
at that hotel tell where the convention is going on,
with the same person.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
But it's just the I guess, the peace of mind
for her knowing that I'm going down the strip and
I'm staying somewhere else. If that gives her a little
bit of comfort, I don't mind doing it. Whatever, call
me Simpy the kid or whatever who wants to. I'm
just saying that's fine. I like that if something's gonna happen,
it can happen down the strip. But that's my point. Yeah,
of course, but she can.

Speaker 7 (42:23):
She can catch it uber to my hotel room down
the strip, like she better or not. I'm just saying
that I'm not gonna spend all that money. Listen, trust me.
You just gotta trust me, girl, period.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
All right. I'm just let me ask you, poo, you'd
be okay with your girl going to a convention where
her ex who wants her back is staying and they're
staying in the same hotel on a drunken convention weekend.
This guy, Yeah, I'm not gonna worry about it. That's
a lie. Play the line music immediately.

Speaker 7 (42:52):
I'm not I'm not gonna worry about it. I'm not
so worried about it. I'm not as insecure as you are.
I don't get like, I don't about that she's gonna cheat,
she gonna cheat, Like, yeah, I wonder.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
If his wife has ever been cheated on, because if
she is, you never that feeling never goes away.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
I think, like you, it's always like back there.

Speaker 5 (43:11):
Yeah, you know, why why does it have to be?
I'm insecure.

Speaker 7 (43:15):
I'm just saying because I wouldn't care like in my
scenario would if in my scenario, if she's paying all
the bills, I wouldn't even say nothing.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Just go go to the commission. She's paying all the bills.

Speaker 2 (43:26):
I just assuming he's paying all the bills.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
No, I'm just what a weird assumption what you said
about me?

Speaker 7 (43:31):
If I if my girl in my dream scenario, the
woman would be the bread winner and I'd just be
at home chilling.

Speaker 5 (43:37):
I wouldn't have a simp. Yeah, you call me a
sick Oh you'll be the simpath.

Speaker 1 (43:44):
That's the case. You really want that? I love the
sugar mama. Yeah, my idea is one.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
I kind of want that for him, you do, Yeah,
in a weird way.

Speaker 1 (43:54):
I love a sugar mama. Well you don't want good.
I hope he gets one too, And I hope she's
like eighty five ninety and yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 7 (44:03):
If you see me holding hands with her in the
galleria coming out there, hope, coming out the Louis store,
mind your business.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Yeah, changing her depends, Oh my god, whatever you want, baby.

Speaker 5 (44:15):
Yeah, wows take me to meet cousina? Yeah, baby, we'll go. Yeah,
but he's going at like ten when they open.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
So nobody sees after their ma walk.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
Yeah you want a mambo baby, No, I can't drink that,
but I brought an insure. Okay, there you go. Let
me get you a straw. Oh gosh, okay, do we
have a vertican?

Speaker 6 (44:39):
We do?

Speaker 1 (44:39):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (44:40):
Look, dude, you're guilty of being a gambling greg.

Speaker 4 (44:42):
Oh no, if you don't switch hotels, you better be
in touch with her like your life depends on it.
I want the play by play of your entire trip.

Speaker 5 (44:51):
You want to you better facetimey life three sixty or whatever.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
The sixty location whatever.

Speaker 1 (44:57):
I'm putting affle tag on you. Yeah, airG I'm air
tagging you up.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Yeah, one hundred percent, like you're.

Speaker 5 (45:03):
A sea lion in the wild, just so I can track.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
You and make sure you're yeah, exactly.

Speaker 5 (45:07):
I don't trust her, right, Yes, he is guilty.

Speaker 2 (45:10):
Yeah, I being a gambling crag.

Speaker 6 (45:11):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
This is tough stories on the Tents with Billy the
Kid in the morning.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Only on the new Mixed one O two point nine.

Speaker 1 (45:19):
I was sneaking. Vanessa was going to answer that I
had a feeling, but I guess I was wrong, all right,
Candicelowpez what's up.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
Well, A state of emergency has been declared across fifty
nine Texas counties as historic flooding continues in the Hill
Country this morning. Uh, they had seventy five water rescues
already just in Uvaldi County. They've had half a year's
worth of rain there. We're talking up to twenty inches. Uh,
I think at the peak yesterday they said at least

(45:45):
one hundred and fourteen roads in Texas were flooded. They
also had an EF one tornado near San Antonio yesterday too,
So this is a wild July again in this area.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
And I'm going to be raining here a little bit more.
But we've got I think a signific get amount of
rain for the summer than we normally do.

Speaker 4 (46:02):
Yeah, I mean, this last couple of days has been
pretty good, but they're expecting more rounds of heavy rain today.
This range just doesn't let up. It just sits there
and moves really slowly.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
And it's they're saying it's not going to really change
much until tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
I see. I don't like that. Yeah. I have friends
in Bernie down there and their backyard's flooded. It's it's
getting really messy.

Speaker 5 (46:20):
So and you know what's crazy is a lot of
the insurance doesn't cover the flooding.

Speaker 1 (46:24):
That's awful. So when this hits, which it's just not normal.
I mean, it's devastating financially for a lot of these families.
So we're thinking about them for sure.

Speaker 5 (46:33):
Guys.

Speaker 4 (46:33):
I got an update to that story that came out
of Yellowstone National Park. Did you guys see that bison
that tossed that man.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
Yeah, the video went viral.

Speaker 4 (46:45):
The bison basically tossed up a sixty five year old
grandfa grandfather eight feet into the air. They're saying, nothing's
going to happen to that animal. They're not going to
anthemize it or anything. And it's a wild animal who
lives there, so this makes sense. But the man with
his grandson, he was with his grandson when this happened.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
Last week.

Speaker 4 (47:03):
He had surgery for a broken femur. But they're saying,
you know, it's mating season there, so the animals are
obviously more aggressive, and they're telling people, you know, reminding
people stay at least seventy five feet away from bison
and elk.

Speaker 1 (47:17):
Yeah, in the area the guy was and I'm not
saying it's his fault, but he was close. Yeah, and
he's what seventy five he.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
Said sixty five or sixty five, so he's.

Speaker 1 (47:24):
Sixty five and then the bison turns to him and
kind of looks, and they run faster than you think.
Oh yeah, they're big, but they can move right. So
that thing just chased it around a tree, chased him
around a tree and got ahold of him and just
you know, yeaded that dude right in the air.

Speaker 4 (47:37):
Yeah, it was hard for me to tell like how
close they were based on the video. They seem like
they were trying to give it space. But those things
are really.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
Majestic when you see him in person. And Yellowstone, yeah
they are.

Speaker 1 (47:47):
But I'm staying I'm not gonna listen. If I'm going
to Yellowstone, I'm not getting out of my car. Yeah, yeah,
I see an animal, Like I saw this video of
these tourists and they're running towards a bear and his
cup the cubs because they wanted picture. So they're running.
Get out of the car and they run. Yeah, and
I'm like, see this is what happens. Then you get
mauled and the bear's gotta go down.

Speaker 2 (48:07):
Yeah, like no, no, she's probably just protecting her babies.
Don't get nearer with the cubs, right, don't.

Speaker 1 (48:11):
What are you doing running towards a wild animal that
will kill you. You're not at a zoo, right, right,
You're just dumb?

Speaker 9 (48:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Don who laughs at this guy getting cool, laughs at
the inappropriate things. I was trying not to, but what
I saw it, it's just like, I mean, we've been
at funerals where he laughs. Oh yeah, I mean he
can't help it. It's like his nervous crutch.

Speaker 6 (48:32):
Ya.

Speaker 5 (48:33):
But we'll be at a funeral it's all sad, and
all of a sudden, I look over and he's like.

Speaker 1 (48:37):
And I'm like stop, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (48:40):
He's probably gonna laugh at this for sure.

Speaker 4 (48:42):
This woman in Florida, she got her license plate from
the state and she's kind of become a local celebrity there.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
She's seventy six.

Speaker 4 (48:51):
Everyone in her retirement community is talking about this. She
got her license plate back from the DMV and here's
what it read.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
S q z A five five. Oh so like squeeze that.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
Word booty, Yeah exactly, I love it. I'd be so hyped.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Well, she was really upset at first, but everyone was like, no,
you should keep it. You can have some fun getting
a bunch of honks out of it when you're driving
around town. Her county offered to replace the plate for free,
but she says, you know, her sons and friends think
she should.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Keep it, but she does. She has it for ten years.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
The video is so funny of her on the news. Yeah,
she's like, this is ridiculous. And then she goes around
the retirement home and asks one of the old men
who was like eighty nine. She goes, look at this,
and he goes, I think you should keep it.

Speaker 4 (49:38):
Yeah, it happens, but if you look at it, it
looks like she ordered that plate like a vanity.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
I know.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
That's why it's awesome. Yeah, she's driving around with a
squeeze booty plate.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Oh my gosh. All right, I don't cana slowpez. Those
are your Texas top stories. That's a hot take.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Let us know what you think.

Speaker 6 (49:57):
Here's today's hot take.

Speaker 1 (49:58):
It makes one or two point nine. And by the way,
the jackpot for the free groceries now up to two thousand,
two hundred and fifty dollars. If you missed it, we're
gonna call somebody at nine o'clock. I know, I can't
believe an est didn't answer. A lot of people are
not answering. Somebody DM me and they're like, it's because
all these spam calls. Oh. I'm like, I do get it.
But you know what, you sign up for this contest.
You know we're gonna call you. You got to answer
your phone. I want my mix one o two point nine,

(50:20):
So be ready. I'll call somebody again at nine o'clock
and sign up on the iHeartRadio app Mix one oh
two nine. Find us on there, hit that talkback mic
and say I want my mix one o two point nine. Okay,
hot take of the day. We've argued about tipping plenty
of times, but this is a little bit different in
tipping culture, especially with the World Cup. A lot of

(50:41):
people who are coming to the United States from overseas
thought that the tipping culture was out of control, right,
not just as a matter of fact. You know what's
funny is I got I got asked to tip the
other day in the most random place ever. I was
buying a shirt online what from a small company, and
when I checked out, it said would you like to
leave a tip? And I thought wow, I thought for what? Yeah, right,

(51:05):
I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (51:06):
I don't have to answer to that.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
And I folded my shirt. I'm a sucker for tip
in two Yeah, like I will tip, but that was
one time. I'm like, I didn't even talk to anybody, right,
I'm talking to a computer.

Speaker 3 (51:17):
Right.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
I ordered a cake and they online and they wanted
a twenty percent tip, but I gave it to them.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
You did, yes, you did.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
I just felt like the price of the cake is
the cake.

Speaker 5 (51:25):
Right now, they're going to spit in my.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Cake if I don't right spell the name on there.

Speaker 5 (51:29):
Now, they're going to spit on my shirt.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
Okay. So this girl she posted basically the receipt of
a meal that she had at Perry's Steakhouse okay, which
is of course a nice spot, really good spot, and
the total was six hundred and twenty nine dollars and
seventy three cents. She tipped nine dollars.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Why nine dollars which.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
The twenty percent tip would have been one hundred and
twenty two dollars, right, and fifty four cents to be exactly,
but way more than nine dollars. Then she posted it
online and people started going off, Yeah, I would say.
Seventy percent of the people were like, come on, what
are you doing?

Speaker 9 (52:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (52:11):
Her explanation, though she put it in words I've never
really heard it put like this before.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
Are you ready with this? Is what she has to
say about why she tipped nine dollars. She said to everyone,
acting like tipping rules are written in stone. Let's talk
about it. I had a six hundred and twelve dollars
dinner bill. Suddenly I'm quote supposed to leave over one
hundred and twenty dollars just.

Speaker 5 (52:34):
Because the total was higher.

Speaker 1 (52:37):
She says, it's the same plates, carried, same drinks, refilled,
same amount of time at the table, but somehow the
menu prices decide the servers pay.

Speaker 6 (52:47):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
I left nine dollars. That's still real money for a
couple of hours of service. But the mood shifted immediately,
like I had broken some unspoken law. The manager came
over talking about quote industry standard, as if that settles
the whole debate. Since when does a more expensive meal
automatically mean more effort? Fire order a fifty dollars entree

(53:09):
instead of a twenty dollars one, does the plate suddenly
way more? I do tip for good service, But I
don't think it tip should automatically become a percentage based
ser charge just because this restaurant happens to charge more. So, honestly,
is that fair? Or have we just gotten so used
to used to it that we don't question it? And

(53:31):
then people started going off in the comments, But I mean,
do I think you.

Speaker 5 (53:36):
Should have to tip more? Like would I have tipped
one hundred and twenty dollars?

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Yes, yeah, for sure I would have because that's what
you do.

Speaker 1 (53:43):
And maybe I am a sucker, maybe I am used
to it, but these servers are not getting paid right
appropriate salary.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
Yeah, I mean, she has a point that makes sense,
that all makes sense to me. That's just not how
we do it here.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
But nine dollars that's like not even two percent of
what you have. Couldn't you just take the twenty percent
and be like, here's fifty.

Speaker 1 (54:03):
Bucks, right exactly? I mean my whole thing is, if
it's nine dollars, and she said it's a couple of
hours service, then go to what you think a waitress
or a waiter would be paid. And if you're thinking
basically by that mentality, take nine dollars and split it
in two Yeah, that's not good. That's not good. So
that's not even a wage. That should be somebody's two hours.

(54:23):
So even by your standards, to me, it doesn't make sense.

Speaker 7 (54:26):
All right now, I know I wouldn't tip nine dollars ago,
I wouldn't tip nine dollars.

Speaker 1 (54:31):
I tip more than nine dollars. But I mean she
got a point.

Speaker 7 (54:34):
First of all, you took that job, you know, like
the system, the service industry standard is what two thirteen. Like,
you know, where you're gonna make the most money, So
you could have gone somewhere else where you know you're gonna.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Get tipped, you know. According to Yrky, she's at Perry's,
so that's I would expect to hire to get that.
But I mean the service didn't change. She gave her
top not, so that's not true. I do think service changes.
I don't expect the same service from Chili's that I
do at Perry's.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
Yeah, I've never been to Perry's, but typically, Yeah, if
you're spending hundreds of dollars on a meal, there's gonna
be multiple courses.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
They're gonna be you know, you're gonna get custom like service.

Speaker 5 (55:13):
And to me, that's part of the reason why the
food is more expensive.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
Yes, it tastes better, but also the quality of service
and expectations are higher, right, So why wouldn't you pay
more for that? I would I tip her a little more,
But I mean, I okay, I'm curious. What would producer
Pooh tip on a six hundred and twelve dollars bill.
I'd probably throw about seventy five seventy five dollars.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
You're getting closer.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
That's not.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
Like if I was on a date, like I went
to Monart, you know, okay, and my meal was like
three hundred something.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
It was like it was like, almost what did you tip?
I gave her eighty dollars. I can't do math. I'm
awful of math. Yeah, I gave her about eighty bucks.
I don't think that's twenty percent.

Speaker 4 (55:57):
I mean, I mean, if it's three hundred dollars, twenty
persons will be sixty.

Speaker 1 (56:01):
It was like three sixty. It is like three sixty.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
So you did good.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
So that's okay, I mean, but mestage's not approved. You're
my point against.

Speaker 7 (56:09):
Okay, Well, first I was on a date, Yeah I was.
That's what I was just about, saying, you tip more
when you're on a day. I wasn't trying to look
lame in front of this girl, so but wow, it
backfired on me anyway.

Speaker 1 (56:18):
She didn't. She never called me again. But I'm just
saying I agree. I agree with that lady. You know
it's not her fault.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
It's not if you can't tip nine dollars, that's insult right, you.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
Just can't come up there and expect like And I
agree with you about chilies. But there's good servers at chili,
sure there are.

Speaker 2 (56:35):
Are you gonna tip them extrawhere?

Speaker 1 (56:37):
Yeah? I will. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (56:39):
There's good there will tip extra for a great so
I don't care where they're at.

Speaker 7 (56:41):
But if it was like three or four hundred dollars
at Chili's, I'm not fixed to give you one hundred
and twenty dollars.

Speaker 1 (56:45):
I'll give you what I feel it's best at that time.
I'm going to give him twenty percent, and if the
service is better then I expected, I'm going to give
him more than twenty percent, or I won't go out
to eat. Yeah, I'm not going to spend six hundred
dollars at Perry's if I can't tip one hundred and
twenty dollars least.

Speaker 2 (57:00):
Yeah, I mean that's just how we do it here.

Speaker 4 (57:02):
I get her point, though, Yeah, if there was no
more work put in to it, why but you're also
at a place that has a great view, and like really,
you know, exceptional environment experience.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
Is the only way I change is if servers start
getting paid a wage that's livable, then then you might
change the whole standard. But right now you're saying, well,
they shouldn't have taken that job. No, they go somewhere else,
but they no where are they gonna go? I mean,
just where the tips are a lot more. I have
no idea that is Peris though, that you're missing. That
is Peri's. It's an expensive place. That's where you go

(57:34):
if you want high tips. Right, you're saying not to
be a server in general, is what you're saying.

Speaker 7 (57:38):
I'm just saying because like, think about it, like six
hundred and twelve dollars, what if I worked, What if
that's all I can afford? You know what I'm saying,
Then don't go out to eat like I saved up
to take you out on understand defensive date, and that's
all I wouldn't give her nine dollars.

Speaker 1 (57:53):
But when you know I'm coming to there expecting one
hundred and twenty hundred and forty dollars, you do I
like that because you don't go. Don't go and spend
six hundred. If you can't afford one hundred and twenty,
you really have.

Speaker 4 (58:04):
To budget in the twenty percent when you go out
and pick a restaurant.

Speaker 1 (58:08):
Thank you, that's thank you. That's what I was trying
to say. Eight three three seven eight seven one o
two nine. Or maybe we're doing it wrong. What do
you think? I take it a day mix one or
two point nine Ability Kid Candice Slow Pas producer Poo.
We were talking about hot take. By the way, I'm
about to call somebody for this Jackpop. The groceries are
up to two two hundred and fifty bucks. WHOA, that's huge.
I want to call somebody next. So this is your

(58:28):
chance to win it. I mean over two thousand dollars
in free groceries. So you got a couple minutes to
sign up because if they don't answer now, it'll be
up to twenty five hundred dollars by four o'clock with Zan,
So go to the iHeartRadio app sign up real quick,
find us Mix one or two point nine. You gotta
answer your phone. I won my Mix one O two
point nine. That's how you sign up to you. Just
say that into the talkback Mike. Okay, Now, we were

(58:50):
talking about tipping, and big debate always about tipping, whether
it's twenty percent and whatnot. But this girl put it
in a different way that I've never really heard before.
She tipped nine dollars on an over six hundred dollars tag,
which I don't agree with. It's crazy, but she said
it's the same effort. She was like, this is crazy
because it's the same effort. It's sorry, the food's way more.
It's the same plates, same amount of plates, the same effort,

(59:13):
the same drink refills. Everything's the same. And she doesn't
agree with the fact that just because a restaurant is more,
that you should pay more. She doesn't agree with the percentage. Yeah,
but I'm like, I mean, really to.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Your point, but nine dollars.

Speaker 1 (59:25):
Is way too low. Yeah, way too low. But you
know producer Poot notoriously yeah, known for just not tipping
very well. You tip, I tip just not well, not no,
I try to, but well, yeah, you also try to
do a lot of stuff. Kathy wanted to say something, Kathy,

(59:46):
what do you think any good money?

Speaker 10 (59:48):
I think you're absolutely right. But from a financial standpoint,
that is why the real estate agent change their harbottle,
because the same thing, whether they sell one hundred thousand
dollars house or a million dollar house, why did they get.

Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
That much more?

Speaker 10 (01:00:00):
Okay, percent for four But the other catch from the
financial standpoint, but we will not go to dinner if
we can't tip twenty percent. So one hundred percent agree
with you. It's not the service fault.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
You're right.

Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
So in real estate, so you get what is it
five percent commission?

Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
You said usually about sixty percent. Okay, you're right, whether it's.

Speaker 10 (01:00:19):
One hundred thousand dollars house or a million dollar house,
you're getting six percent. So why the real estate people
they are not doing any extra work.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
That's true, that's true, But I mean I guess it's
is it a different level of service when you're selling
a three million dollar home rather than a fifty thousand,
you know, one hundred and fifty thousand dollars house.

Speaker 10 (01:00:35):
Maybe a little bit, but I don't think it's the percentage.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Why, Yeah, that's a.

Speaker 4 (01:00:39):
Good point from service because they know they're gonna make
a lot more money.

Speaker 6 (01:00:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
I'm like, hey, I'm doing what I gotta do. Yeah,
you're gonna get Cavia at that open house, right, all right,
good point, Katy. Well thank you, Kathy. But I agree
you got to you gotta budget in the tip. But
we appreciate you calling. Thank you so much. Take you.

Speaker 10 (01:00:55):
I have a great day.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
Buye you too, Okay? Debor Deborah and Denon what's up? Deborah?
Not much DeBras tip though they tipped On't DeBras tip?

Speaker 9 (01:01:04):
Oh yeah, yeah I do. I tip at least twenty
percent unless the guy or girl is awful. If they're awful,
I tend to tip down to like fifteen, But if
they're good, I normally tip twenty to twenty five percent.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
That's my gauge too. That's funny you say that, because
even if they're a bad server, I still tip them fifteen.

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
Yeah you do.

Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
Oh yeah, I know.

Speaker 5 (01:01:25):
Some people just won't tip, and I'm like, I still
feel too bad.

Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
I'm a tibble.

Speaker 9 (01:01:30):
With the girl and she tipped. She tipped like less
than a dollar on both of our tabs, and I
was like, that's not right. So I snuck up when
she was leaving. I went back and I threw more
on the table.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
Good for you.

Speaker 6 (01:01:45):
Good.

Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
That's why I would like if Pood pays the tab
like you know every ten years, he really goes behind.
I still got to check it what he left for
the tip, because I'm like, don't I'm not. I come
here all the time. Don't make me look bad. Been
ten percent? Yeah, really always goes behind. I might just
start calling him ten percent Pooh.

Speaker 6 (01:02:09):
Stories on the tens with Billy the Kid in the
morning only on the New Mix one O two point nine.

Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Well, Michelle, that was meant for her. I feel like
it was too. You're right, it all happens for a reason.
We're still giving away free groceries and we'll call somebody
else at four o'clock. Okay, so if you want to
go sign up, do it now. iHeartRadio makes one or
two point nine. Hit that talk back Mike and say
I want my Mix one or two point nine. I'm
so happy for Michelle. All right, Cannis, what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
Well?

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
Post Malone, we'll headline the closing ceremony for the World
Cup this Sunday at New York, New Jersey, stadium. It
starts at one point thirty pm that celebrates the World
Cup wrapping up. This is the perfect announcement for me,
a huge fan Posty and Justin Bieber in the same
whole you know broadcast.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
It's gonna be a great show, don't forget she care
well Yeah and Kira Madonna and yeah, well the other Yeah.
I've said the list so many times this week.

Speaker 4 (01:02:59):
I thought I'm probably going to talk about this again
for a while, and then they announced post below.

Speaker 2 (01:03:03):
And here I am.

Speaker 5 (01:03:04):
I know, I'm just kind of sad the World Cup's
going away.

Speaker 1 (01:03:06):
This is like the first time I've ever in my
life gotten into soccer and football I'm calling it soccer.

Speaker 4 (01:03:12):
I watched so much soccer. I'd never watched a full
soccer game match in my.

Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
Life me either until not.

Speaker 5 (01:03:18):
I just figured it out, like what stoppage time means.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Yeah, I'm just now learning all of the rules. I
think maybe I did go to a Dallas sidekicks game
back in the.

Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Day and eight yeah, oh yeah, No. I like FC
Dallas and I like going him. I just don't know
what's going on right, I'm just watching, like, oh cool,
go FC Dallas. Yeah, I just don't know what's going on,
but I think it's cool too, this plot that's happening
in between the players, some of the players on in
the finals, because if you don't know, it's Spain versus Argentina.

Speaker 5 (01:03:44):
The crazy part is is one of the players on Spain.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
He's young. Lamin Yamal is his name, And thank you
to Ricardo and Caleb who told me who it was.
If you go back twenty years, Messi, who plays for Argentina,
is in a commercial with him and he's a baby.
Messi is bathing him as a baby. That's crazy for
this commercial. It's so random, and now they're going to
be playing against each other in the World Cup finals. Wow,

(01:04:10):
is that weird?

Speaker 2 (01:04:10):
It's really weird.

Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
How does that happen? Yeah, where you were a baby
with him in a commercial and now you're playing against
him in the biggest stage.

Speaker 6 (01:04:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Well it's that bathwater about Yeah, the vibes you're good
water or something.

Speaker 1 (01:04:22):
Yeah, it was like a UNISEF commercial. Really just strange. Yeah,
it's going down like this either way.

Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Very cool, Yeah, very cool, guys.

Speaker 4 (01:04:29):
I should have known this was going to happen when
I already saw a spirit Halloween store setting up last weekend,
but you can now buy Home Depots a famous Halloween collection,
including their updated twelve foot Skelley, eleven foot Mummy, and
then this three piece animated Gremlin.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
Set that they have among other things.

Speaker 4 (01:04:45):
Oh yeah, it's already available online, not quite in stores
just yet, but they're expecting these Skellies to sell out
because they're now updating them every year with new features.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
So yeah, if you need a twelve foot Skelley, you
better go quick.

Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
I think I'm going to decorate mine this year and
have as like a DJ and my friend. Yes, that'd
be good, like put some turntables in front of Yeah,
would it be fun?

Speaker 4 (01:05:05):
Do it early though, because last year I think it
was like October twenty eighth and you were like, I
still haven't decorated.

Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
Oh, Candace, Yeah, shots fired.

Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
I mean I'm just saying because he was missing an arm.
No no, no, we got to know. At Home sent
me one. Yeah, that's why I go to at Home.
They sent me a whole twelve foot skeleton because they're awesome. Yeah,
so I had to put it up. Yeah, well of course,
but nobody would help me, so I had to do
it alone.

Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
But here you go, wouldn't you wanted October first?

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Totally that help? And he was like, yeah, well because
you wanted like dinner snacks. And I'm like, okay, well
you can't feed your boy. If I'm coming over there
to stand up some skeleton, I don't have Candace help me.

Speaker 4 (01:05:41):
Okay, real quick, guys, HGTV just announced a new renovation
competition series called Totally Nineties House and then bring it
back some of our favorite TV stars from the nineties,
So Jalil White, you know, or Cole, Steve Berkele he's
going to host the show. Melissa Joan Hart will be
a part of it, Jody Sweet, Matthew Lawrence, Beverly Mitchell.

(01:06:02):
There's a whole list of these nineties celebs are going
to be a part of this.

Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
Cool.

Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
They're basically transforming a home that's stuck in the nineties.
It premieres August twenty six, So if you're into those
home renovation shows like I am, this gonna be a
fun one.

Speaker 2 (01:06:14):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (01:06:15):
We check that out. I thought it was gonna be
a makeover to the nineties. I did too, because the
nineties are kind of coming back. Yeah, I'm like, do
we really want you know, teal carpet and no wood.

Speaker 2 (01:06:24):
Paneling, no like like jeans, I'll take but teal carpet.

Speaker 4 (01:06:29):
No right, I'm Cannaslopez. Those are your Texas top stories.

Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Get it off your chest to promise you'll feel better.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
Welcome to the Dirty Little Secret mixed one of two
point nine. Let's do it. It's failing the kid candases here,
So it's Pooh and your secrets today three to three, seven,
eight seven, one oh two nine. If you have one.
It's a no judgment zone for the most part. We
might say our opinions and you know whatever, but we'll try.

Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
We're going to talk it through.

Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
You gotta stay open minded when it comes to these steps, right,
So get it off your chest and you got one.

Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Well, my husband and I went to a huge Work
of July party with our group of friends, and we've
all known each other since college, and we're talking about
a big party. There were maybe sixty seventy people there. Well,
at one point, my husband was inside and I was
just sitting by the fire when my friend's husband came

(01:07:21):
over and sat down next to me, which seemed normal, right.
I've known him forever, he's been married for years. He's
one of those guys you would never ever expect to
cross a line.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Oh god.

Speaker 6 (01:07:36):
Yeah, he wasn't stumbling around drunk either. So he sits
down next to me, like flops himself down, and he
looked at me and said, I know this is coming
out of nowhere, but I feel like I got to
say it. I've always been in love with you.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
What He's always been in love with you?

Speaker 6 (01:07:57):
In love? I thought he was joking. I really did,
But how do.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
You know he wasn't. He wasn't for sure, he wasn't
and he wasn't drunk. So he's just coming out of
nowhere and saying this, Yeah, just just what I mean.
I was flabb or, like, what do you even say?
How do you react when this happens? I don't know
what I would do.

Speaker 6 (01:08:17):
My words just got caught in my throat, but he continued,
so I didn't have to say anything yet. He told
me that he'd always felt this like special connection and
that sometimes he wonders if he married the wrong woman.

Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Oh god, that you two never had anything like any
kind of weird things beforehand or in the past. It's
because you said you've known each.

Speaker 6 (01:08:43):
Other not at all. That's the crazy part. There was
never some secret romance or almost relationship. We've just known
each other forever. Yeah, and we're all in the same
friend group period.

Speaker 1 (01:08:56):
That's it, right.

Speaker 6 (01:08:57):
So I keep replaying this moment because I wish I
had shut it down immediately. I wish i'd said stop.

Speaker 9 (01:09:05):
Don't say that. Instead.

Speaker 6 (01:09:06):
All I could get out was I don't know what
to say.

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
So you said, so, you said, I don't So you
told him after he says this, you say, I don't
know what to say, you know, because.

Speaker 6 (01:09:18):
It was just so shocking, you know what I'm saying,
Like you either have a lot to say or nothing.
It's like fight or flight, you know, And I just
froze instead.

Speaker 1 (01:09:28):
I get that, I get it you kind of shut
down in the moment in shock. But I don't know
what you do after this. This never happened to me.

Speaker 6 (01:09:35):
No, That's what I feel guilty about because I walked
back inside because I didn't say anything, you know, not
because I encouraged him. I absolutely didn't. But the hardest
part to admit is I do understand what he meant.
What do you I mean? I love my husband with
everything I have, like I would never do anything to

(01:09:57):
jeopardize my marriage. But over the past few years him
and I have become closer friends. And I'm one of
the only people that knows his wife had an affair
with a coworker a while back. Oh yeah, they went
to counseling and they stayed together ever since that happened.

(01:10:18):
You know, I've never noticed him, but I noticed it
on my end. He's looked at me just a little
bit differently, and he's treated me a little bit differently.
I always thought he was an incredible husband, a great dad,
and just an all around good guy. Y'all. I'd be
lying if I said I didn't feel that connection to

(01:10:38):
not enough you. Yes, I do, but but let me
not in a romantic way, just something that was different,
something so I didn't. I wasn't even sure he knew,
you know. So that's why this scares me.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Have you told your husband?

Speaker 6 (01:10:55):
No, No, y'all, just you. I haven't told any of
my friends.

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
Has he followed up as he texts you, called you,
pulled you aside again, or it's nothing. It's been just
ever since then, there's been no contact.

Speaker 6 (01:11:09):
Well, I haven't really reached he hasn't reached out. We
haven't really talk.

Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
This is kind of what happens though, when you open
yourself up emotionally to anybody who's vulnerable. And I'm not
saying you did anything wrong because you know, especially if
your husband's aware that he was cheated on and he
knows the situation, then it feels like, well, we're just
being good friends.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
You can't help me in shocked by that.

Speaker 1 (01:11:29):
Yeah, but that would, but you got to tell your husband.
There's I just don't see a way around it. If
I found out that, you know, my girlfriend or wife,
that one of my friends went to her and said this,
I would be so devastated if she didn't tell me.

Speaker 6 (01:11:44):
Yeah, but like I said, I would do nothing to
jeopardize in my relation.

Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
I know, and I'm not saying you would, but it
is kind of I would be nervous if you were.
If you were my wife and you told me. I mean,
I do notice that we did have a connection of
some sort of not romantic way.

Speaker 7 (01:11:58):
I don't like that. I can't tell me, what do
you mean a connection? We definitely ain't going to the
Labor Day party, right.

Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
Well, you've got to let us know what happens and
if anything else does go down and let us know.

Speaker 6 (01:12:15):
Yeah, thank you. I will thank you guys so much.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Of course. I just feel like there's got to be
some sort of something going on, if there's a connection.
But maybe I'm wrong, but see, I do feel and
I got a lot of hate for saying this from men,
but I do feel like when a guy cheats it's
different because when a guy cheats or gets cheated on,
I mean like, if the guy gets cheated on, he
feels like then he's got a free pass to go cheat.

Speaker 6 (01:12:38):
Well.

Speaker 5 (01:12:38):
I don't feel like.

Speaker 1 (01:12:39):
It's like that with women. No. You know, if a
guy cheat, she's devastating, right, she's devastated, but she's not like,
well now I get to hook up. No, not all women, Yeah,
I mean women who's looking at me all fine, not
all women. But I know some women out there who

(01:13:00):
do that.

Speaker 7 (01:13:00):
Well, I know Candas Scandalous like I thought you said, Candace, No, no, Candace.

Speaker 2 (01:13:04):
I'm mindless.

Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
Candles like that, Yeah, Scandace, some ski girls. Yeah, I
want to get out of here. It's mixed one O
two point nine Billy Kid, candaslow pants producer, poo, We'll
see you tomorrow. Tomorrow is Friday. Hey, let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:13:18):
Okay, more groceries though, even though oh man, I'm so happy.

Speaker 1 (01:13:22):
Was it Kaffy who won? It was Michelle Michelle. Michelle
won two two hundred and fifty dollars. That's amazing in
free groceries. So we'll do it again.

Speaker 5 (01:13:30):
Four o'clock was zan uh reset the jackpot.

Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
But hey, it's all good. You never know what's going
to happen. Sign up, iHeartRadio app Okay Mix one o
two point nine, find us on there, use that talkback
Mike to say I want my Mix one O two
point nine. That's all you have to have. You have

to win, you can't say, yo, what's up right? If
you're not gonna win, Okay, I kis what you got
going on today?

Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (01:13:50):
We might be on Facebook Marketplace looking for a BMX
bike for Endzo. I got to talk to him because
we went out to that track again last night for
him to practice. Yeah, and so we split cars because
I needed to go to bed early. So I need
to talk to him afterwards to see if he's like
wanting to get an actual bike. So we'll see he
doesn't have one well he has one, but not like
one to race.

Speaker 1 (01:14:09):
Yeah, I would do it, do it. I love Facebook Marketplace.

Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
I know, I'm I'm just getting into it and it's scary.

Speaker 1 (01:14:15):
It's a problem. Like I'll just even though I don't
want stuff, I'll just randomly search to see if they
have things. Yeah, and then I'm like, maybe I need
a custom camper van. I mean, maybe maybe I need
a school bus converted into an apartment. Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Well, I mean it's on there, check it out.

Speaker 1 (01:14:33):
Yeah, or people. There's one person that sells lingerie on
Facebook Marketplace. I know, but it's so cheat it is.
Well to give me that. Tough times, Yeah, I about
poo a teddy. All right, we'll see tomorrow. I have
a great day.

Speaker 5 (01:14:51):
Don't forget get those free groceries.

Speaker 1 (01:14:53):
Bye bye
