One listener steals the show during Dirty Little Secret when she reveals the real reason behind her broken toe. What started as an attempt to spark some romance with her husband quickly turned into a painful lesson she'll never forget. Her confession has the entire morning show laughing, including Producer Pooh, as the crew shares other unforgettable "romantic injuries" and awkward relationship mishaps. The conversation takes several hilarious turns as the team debates childhood comfort foods from around the world, reveals their own "struggle meals" from growing up, and recalls everything from syrup sandwiches and cinnamon toast to Vienna sausages and butter noodles. The nostalgia is real, and so is the laughter. Listeners also get a behind-the-scenes look at Billy's birthday reflections as he shares the origin story of the nickname "Billy The Kidd" and jokingly considers rebranding himself as "William The Adult." Meanwhile, Candice and Pooh revisit some of the most embarrassing celebrity moments ever captured on camera and confess their own personal cringe-worthy experiences.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's do it. My favorite part of the day. Dirty
little secret.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Now, if you ever have a secret confession you want
to get off your chest, feel free to reach out
anytime you want at 833-787-1029 or at Billy on the
radio on Instagram at Billy on the radio.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Candace is at.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Candace on air.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
It could be a little secret, big secret. Just get
it off your chest. Here we go. It's Billy the Kid. Now,
Candace Lopez.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Our producer, Poo, started laughing when he heard this secret,
which is kind of a good sign.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
So what's going on? Your secret is what?

Speaker 4 (00:30):
Okay, so this is so embarrassing because the only person
who knows the truth about this is my husband. But
I guess not now because I called you. But it's
so embarrassing. A couple of weeks ago, I broke my
big toe.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
What?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
And, yeah, but I told everyone that I was just
helping my husband move the couch, and I dropped it
on my foot. But obviously that's not really what happened.
What happened?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Why do you have to lie about your toe being broken?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
It's so stupid. Like, I'm laughing about it, just thinking
about it. Okay, so, like, whatever. One night I got
out of the shower, and I was butt naked. And
I was just being silly, you know, and I started–
I started dancing for my husband, if you will, just
do it a little, do a little sexy jig or whatever.
And I don't know, I was just, I was just
trying to get a little, you know, little heat going

(01:19):
back in the, in the old romance, you know? And
so then I did this little spin and then I
was going to try to jump on the bed, like
where he was laying. And then, but obviously what happened
is when I went to do the jump onto the bed,
I slammed my big toe, like, right into the bed.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Just real. And you broke it?

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Oh, my God, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
It was so painful. I was, like, literally crying and
laughing at the same time. I've never felt so stupid.
And it, like, bruised up instantly. And it was so swollen.
And all I was trying to do was be a
little sexy. And I failed.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
This, we've talked about this before. People have had romantic injuries.
That's what we call them. Romantic injuries.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
And I mean, I can just imagine though, you trying
to be all hot and sexy and slamming your toe.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
I was trying, I tried to be sexy and I
totally failed. I couldn't even tell the doctor the truth.
I was like, um, I just dropped the couch.

Speaker 6 (02:20):
On my toe.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
What did your husband do when it happened?

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Oh, he was dying laughing. Like, dying. So I guess
now it's his turn to be a stripper.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
My days are over.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
We had a girl call in one time. Oh, God,
I wish I could get her back on the phone.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
She called in one time, and she was trying to
be sexy and started, like, lit all these candles for
her man and whatever and was doing this little dance
and I guess knocked the candle over and started the bed.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
The bed on fire.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Oh, my God.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I've definitely had a friend who's burned her hair on
a sexy candle, too.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
The candle's a real hazard.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I've never had a romantic injury before. Candice, have you?

Speaker 5 (03:00):
No.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Leading to urgent care?

Speaker 1 (03:02):
No. Oh, but maybe another one?

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
No. That is hysterical. Well, hopefully you feel better telling us,
at least.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
And I hope your toe gets better. And, hey, at
least you'll have a story to laugh about for so long.
I know it made my morning.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
All right.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
See, there we go.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Dirty little secret.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Impromptu right there. It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez,
Producer Pooh. We're having some technical issues, so I don't
even know if we're on the air or not, really.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
If we are, awesome.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I think we are, but I just realized that the
time on the computer is not the actual time. It's
actually 9.08.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Oh, well, everything just froze up. So I figured, you
know what? We don't have even like the production or
stuff that we normally do.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
So we have Texas Top Stories right now. I was
going to say Pooh could do it for you. He's
real good at just improvising.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
You ready? Yeah, go ahead. You want to, Pooh? Go ahead.
Hit it, Pooh.

Speaker 6 (03:50):
Texas Top Stories with Candace Lopez.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
That's actually not good.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
No?

Speaker 6 (03:55):
You don't like that?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
No. There. I needed some.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Yeah, I like it.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Texas Top Stories with Candace Lopez on Mix 102.9. All right,
let's go, guys.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Starting today, Dallas police will officially take over traffic enforcement
and crash investigations on the tollway. So the Texas Department
of Public Safety's agreement to patrol NTTA roads expired. So
if you get pulled over on the tollway, it's not
going to be sheriff's deputies or state troopers anymore. We
forget all these like new rules and laws start on

(04:28):
your birthday.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, I know. I forget about that. There used to
be one. I remember one state trooper right here at
Spring Valley in the tollway. Oh, yeah. And he was mean. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
And he would get you. You just had to slow down. Yeah,
state troopers, I feel like, write more tickets than anybody else.

Speaker 3 (04:43):
You think so? I mean, they're scarier, for sure, when
they're walking up in the rear view.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
And they never wear shorts. No, they don't. You never
see a state trooper in shorts. Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
They don't play around.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
So just heads up. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Guys, Bernie Texas is among the 25 finalists for Hallmark
Channel's Merriest Christmastown contest. So the winning town could be
filming a Hallmark movie right in the middle of the city.
This is so exciting. Public voting is open once per
day through Friday before those judges pick the winner. So
if you want to give some love to Bernie, go

(05:14):
on the website. You can vote right now.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
I'm a little bit upset about that. I love Bernie.
It's a beautiful place.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
If you've never been, you should check it out, even
though people don't know how to pronounce it ever because
it's spelled funny.

Speaker 1 (05:23):
You know, it's spelled like interesting, but it doesn't look
like it's spelled Bernie. Right. But why not Grapevine?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, I don't know how these finalists got chosen. I
was looking at the list, though. Yeah, Grapevine is not
on there. Maybe we could be on there next year.
If Bernie wins, though, this will be a big deal.
I mean, having a Hallmark movie film is so exciting
because they just take over the city. Like the props
department and like the set decoration and design is incredible.
So they'll bring in fake snow and all the things

(05:49):
because they don't typically film those. You know, around Christmas time,
it's usually July.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I've watched one Hallmark movie, and it was the one
that your husband Eric was in.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Yay. And it was really, really good.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Journey to You.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Journey to You. It was very, very sweet.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
It was.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
I cried a little bit.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
Did you?

Speaker 1 (06:05):
I held poo. Oh. It was very emotional.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
I mean, we're getting close to Hallmark movie season, Christmas
movie season. So they'll probably drop the calendar soon. Just
a heads up. Guys, let me update you on what's
going on with Miley Cyrus. She has dropped her last
name on social media. She gave no explanation yesterday when
she posted this picture of herself. And the caption just
says Miley. OK, yeah, we think maybe she's getting ready

(06:30):
to release new music. But some people are also saying, hey,
she's doing like what all the pit kids, Jolie pit
kids are doing and dropping the pit last name.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
There's so much drama with her name right now to
her and her dad's fighting her mom.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
She, does she even talk to her dad anymore?

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, that's a good question. I think they made up
and then they weren't talking again, but like she kind
of goes back and forth, you know, is she hanging
with her mom? Is she hanging with her dad? Um,
but I hope that's not the case. I hope this
is just like Brittany, uh, You know, Dolly, Madonna, Miley.
This is, you know, that type of thing. But Apple
Music commented saying new era incoming. And they're pretty, you know,

(07:07):
hip to what's going on in music.

Speaker 7 (07:08):
Right.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I mean, I think so, too. And I enjoy some
new Miley.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Cool with that.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Yeah. Also, Dolly Parton's estate guys announced a global festival
called Dolly Fest. It's going to happen next year in Nashville.
And London. So I guess Dolly was planning to host
it for her 80th birthday. It was put on hold
because of her health. They haven't shared any details yet
or dates, ticket info or lineup. But how fun Dolly Fest.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
You know what I realized, too, with the passing of Dolly,
which was so sad. Give people their.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Flowers when they're alive.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
And, you know, you see Dolly pass away and it's
awesome to see how many people loved her and what
an impact she had. And I feel like she did
get props, you know, in this world while she was here.
She definitely got those. But it's just a reminder, like,
appreciate people while they're here and show them their love. Because,
you know, it's like painters, sometimes artists, their art doesn't

(08:02):
even get popular until they're dead.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
And I think to myself, can you imagine working your
entire life being an artist, like a starving artist? And
then you pass away and you see your you don't
see your art explode.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Right.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
And it's famous. And then you'll never see it because
you're like, well, my art sucked. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
But little do you know, you're just so famous, but
you're not here to get people their flowers.

Speaker 1 (08:26):
Seriously.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
No, I agree. I was shocked to just see how
many people were posting about Dolly last week, you know,
and people I didn't even know even knew, you know,
about her career. So, yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
I know.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
We're giving you flowers, Billy.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
Well, you were talking about a name change and I
was thinking about this might be a good time to
change my name.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
Why? Because it's my birthday and I've thought about this
for a long time. I've thought about dropping kid. Okay.
And maybe starting a whole new career as William the adult. Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
There's so many letters and all of that.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Yeah, that's a lot.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Well, the reason I say that is because I'll meet kids,
you know, and they're like, why do you call yourself kid?
And I'm like, because I was actually a kid when
I got this name. And now, yeah, now I'm older
and I'm not a kid. But shut up, kid.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
When did you get that name?

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I got that name years and years ago.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
19 what?

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Oh, would you?

Speaker 3 (09:16):
Candace.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
Candace.

Speaker 1 (09:17):
It's my birthday.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
Okay. I met you in 2004 and you were Billy
the Kid. So I'm just assuming it was in the 1900s.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
It was in the 1900s. Yeah. It was in the
1900s when they would call me. I was Billy the Intern.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
When I was an intern. Okay. And nobody really knew
my name. So they would just say, have the kid
do it. Oh. Just have that kid do it. Have
that one kid do it.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Because I was the kid that hung around the radio
station and did everything I could no matter what.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Same.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
And that eventually they were like, just have Billy do it. Billy,
you know, the kid. Billy, and then it just started
just happening like that.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
See, I never even heard this story, and I've known
you for 20 to four and a half years.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Well, it's because you never ask me any questions. You
don't care. No. Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
That's not true.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
That's exactly why. Yeah. And the computer's still down, so
we might as well tell more stories. Well, yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Shout out to Melissa and Lisa texting me saying, yeah,
you guys are on.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Oh, we are?

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Yeah. Okay, because there's a lot of things going on
and everything's shut down, so I couldn't even play a
song if I tried right now.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Right, no. Unless Pooh were to do some singing. God knows.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
Yeah, you don't want me to sing.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Should we just do Kelly Oakey? Billy Oakey today?

Speaker 6 (10:20):
Yeah, let Candace sing, though.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
You know what? Candace is real good at singing. The
only thing worse than dead air would be us singing.

Speaker 4 (10:25):
What?

Speaker 3 (10:27):
Text me if you want us to sing.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Yeah, you can text, but we're not going to.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Side note, did you guys see that Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelsey's dog is featured in the new Tommy Hilfiger ad?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Are you serious? Yeah.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
There's a dog that's making more money than us?

Speaker 7 (10:41):
How's the dog getting paid as a model?

Speaker 3 (10:44):
I don't know, but he deserves it. This dog is
so cute.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Let me see a picture of this dumb dog.

Speaker 3 (10:48):
We talked about it recently, how the Samoyed puppies were
popping off. This is like the white fluffy. It's got
like two layers of hair. Oh, it's perfect.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Oh, yeah. It's literally a perfect dog.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Oh, it's beautiful.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
It's so perfect. Oh, see. So happy.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
It's on a private jet.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
This is exactly why they did that the other day
when they had their dog in the shots or whatever.
They casually had their paparazzi take pictures of their dog.
They were setting up a campaign. Everything they do is
so smart.

Speaker 3 (11:13):
Yeah, you're right. It's all performative, but it makes sense.
I mean, we saw him getting off of the private
jet and now he's at the Plaza Hotel doing a
photo shoot with Travis Kelsey.

Speaker 5 (11:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:24):
Okay. Well, good. All right. Well, thank you.

Speaker 3 (11:26):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You do?

Speaker 3 (11:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
I was going to mention this. More of this dog.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I saw this story that kind of made me laugh.
What is like the one thing kids want in America?
The most popular food for kids, like if they could
eat it every day.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Mac and cheese.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is up there. It
was on the list. That and one other thing that
goes perfect.

Speaker 3 (11:43):
Chicken nuggets.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Chicken nuggets.

Speaker 6 (11:44):
Oh, yeah, nuggets.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
That's what we're having tonight.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Are you really?

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, it's baseball practice night. It's going to be late.
Just throw the chicken nuggets in.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
But, Candace, we know you. What? You don't have the
regular chicken nuggets.

Speaker 6 (11:54):
You don't have dino duds.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (11:56):
I guarantee you, you have quinoa nuggets.

Speaker 3 (11:59):
No, they're bear chicken nuggets from Target.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Whatever, bean sprout nuggets from Pure Homes.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
No, they're just bear lightly breaded.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
Get your black bean nuggies. Or something. Are they just
regular nuggets?

Speaker 3 (12:12):
They're bare. Just bare. Fully cooked.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
Life-spreaded chicken nuggets. Has your son, Enzo, ever had a
dino nuggy?

Speaker 3 (12:18):
Yes, he has.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
He has?

Speaker 3 (12:19):
He's had dino nuggies. He's had star nuggies. If I
could find car nuggies, he would eat those.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Car nuggies?

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Yeah, well, in the shape of race cars or something.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
I think they have them. Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
So they did this article about, you know, in other countries...
what kids eat instead of chicken nuggets. Like what's their go-to, like,
you know, what is the go-to thing? And people were responding.
I just thought it was fascinating because, you know, internationally,
we don't think about sometimes we just get super hyper-focused
on what we like and whatnot. So in Mexico, one
girl said, I always ask for a quesadilla and chocolate milk.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Why does that sound like that'd be so good right now?

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, Enzo would eat that for sure.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Someone else said in Canada, Poutine was the go-to.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Oh, poutine.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Is that what it's called?

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Yeah, it's the fries with the gravy and all that.
Is that good?

Speaker 6 (13:07):
Because it looks nasty.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
Yeah, it's good.

Speaker 4 (13:09):
What's wrong?

Speaker 3 (13:10):
What's nasty about gravy and fries?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 7 (13:12):
Cheese?

Speaker 1 (13:12):
I don't want no gravy.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Well, that's the weird part about it to me is
the gravy and the.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Cheese, the combo.

Speaker 3 (13:17):
Well, I think it's like cheese curds.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
Cheese curds?

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah. Candice.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
Oh, Candice.

Speaker 3 (13:22):
Oh, that's just what they do in Canada.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Watch your mouth.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
It's hot brown gravy.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
I like hot brown gravy.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
But not on my fries.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
I'm sure you guys would like it. You don't go
to Popeye's or wherever and get the gravy and put
your fries in there?

Speaker 2 (13:35):
I do, but I don't put cheese on it. There's
certain things I don't like. I don't want cheese with
my gravy.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Not at all. I want cheese.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
You're probably missing out.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Well, I'm not saying I won't try it. In Germany,
the go-to. Now, this is wild. Nutella and noodles. Oh,
chocolate noodles.

Speaker 3 (13:53):
I mean, it can't be bad.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Yes, it is. Yes, it can. No way.

Speaker 3 (13:57):
That's bad.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Chicken. So Nutella with just the egg noodles. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Which would be like a dessert slash not dessert pasta.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
We do dessert.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Dessert pizza is a thing.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Why not pasta?

Speaker 2 (14:12):
When I was a kid, that's the one thing I
could eat every night of my life. no matter what,
and I could still eat it every day. If I
could eat it every day, I would, is butter noodles.

Speaker 6 (14:20):
I love butter noodles.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Just noodles, egg noodles, and butter. That is a white
trash cuisine. Yes, it is. I'm serious. Has Enzo ever
had that?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
Oh, yeah, all the time.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Yeah, but what kind of noodles are they?

Speaker 6 (14:34):
Are they the egg noodles like the big egg noodles?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
Sometimes. No, they're not.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Sometimes they are.

Speaker 1 (14:39):
They're some weird homegrown organic elbow noodle.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
We had shell bows last night.

Speaker 6 (14:44):
What is a shell bow?

Speaker 3 (14:45):
It's like a cross between a shell bow. Shells and
then the elbow noodles. They're called shell bows.

Speaker 6 (14:52):
It's a cross between Shelby and her elbow.

Speaker 3 (14:56):
Shells and elbows.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Who's Shelby? And why am I eating her elbow? Elbow noodles?

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Yeah, they're called shell bows.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
They're super good.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah. In Sweden, the go-to is instead of chicken nuggets,
the kids say, why can't we just have meatballs? I
want meatballs.

Speaker 5 (15:11):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Oh. Yeah. Ikea? Yeah, I guess.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Meatballs are good.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
I mean, yeah.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
They use pre-made frozen meatballs from the store when kids
want that, and then they usually just serve it with
pasta and ketchup.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Not ketchup. Interesting.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
In Brazil, it's white rice broth and cooked beans, the
broth of cooked beans, grilled chicken or steak, and French fries.

Speaker 1 (15:35):
I'd eat that. In Thailand, the go-to for kids, they
want it. It's in demand, like Nuggies here, is eggs
and rice.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
Yum.

Speaker 1 (15:43):
Eggs and rice.

Speaker 7 (15:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
I mean, when you make fried rice, you put the
eggs in there.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Oh, that is true.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Eggs and rice is good.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
When you put it like that, what was your go-to, Candice,
when you were a kid?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
I mean, I love all of those things. Chicken noodles,
chicken noodle soup. Yeah, I just open a can of soup.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
What's the most trashiest meal you've ever eaten in your life? Like,
the meal that you feel so guilty, like, I can't
even show my face after I eat this.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
I mean, I used to eat Vienna sausages a lot
when I was on, like, a low-carb diet.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
I don't know why. I cannot. You are such a
food snob. Well, now, but.

Speaker 3 (16:16):
Back then, no.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
I cannot picture.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
I ate a wide bread, Wonder Bread.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Candice, just mowing down on some Vienna sausage.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
What did you use to do?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Straight out of the can.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Did you used to wrap it in, like, you know,
white bread?

Speaker 3 (16:27):
No, I'd just eat them plain.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
What a savage.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Yeah, I wasn't eating bread then.

Speaker 1 (16:31):
That's how you know you got some mesquite in you.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
You know what Atkins diet was very popular?

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Just raw dog in Viennas?

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:37):
You just got Viennas?

Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
You wouldn't even slice them up and put them on
a Sammy?

Speaker 3 (16:42):
No, I'd just run them out of there with a fork.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
You would do that?

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Slice them up and put them on a Sammy and
white Wonder Bread. Yeah, but my go-to is always bologna.
My bologna got.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
A first name.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
I mean, now I am, but back then.

Speaker 6 (16:54):
Oscar Mayer player.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Yeah, but how did you make it? Who? What?

Speaker 6 (16:57):
I grill it.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
Oh, you grill it.

Speaker 6 (16:59):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
That's fancy to me. I never grilled bologna. Why would
I do that?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
No, I did. Fried bologna sandwiches.

Speaker 6 (17:04):
Yeah, fried on a skillet.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah. No. They get you a white piece of Wonder Bread.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
And then I fold it.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
Ooh.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
I know about the red ring you got to pull off.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Well, I used to love Wonder Bread and Vienna sausage,
but I would just eat it like that, roll it up,
and make a little pig in a blanket.

Speaker 6 (17:19):
Yeah, little ghetto kolaches. That's what I called them.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Ghetto kolaches.

Speaker 7 (17:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Oh, my favorite, though, is I used to toast white bread.
And then I would just dust it with some butter
and cinnamon and sugar. That's like a ghetto donut.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
My dad made that for us for breakfast every day
on the weekend.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Stop it.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
Cinnamon toast.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Oh, my God. That hits. So I would eat that
right now.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
So would I.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Although we have first watch outside.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
I know it's getting cold.

Speaker 7 (17:44):
I used to heat up my toast and then I
put a little peanut butter. And then some ancient mama
syrup on it. Made me some syrup sandwiches.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Syrup sandwiches used to hit.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Syrup and peanut butter?

Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yes. Syrup sandwiches. I used to eat those too. Yes. Candace,
you don't know about some hood stuff.

Speaker 7 (17:59):
That's what your mama says. Get out the house and
don't come back because I'll just make me a little pack.

Speaker 6 (18:04):
Serve sandwiches.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
When we were kids in the 1900s, it was wild.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
I try to tell my son, we would get kicked
out of the house and not allowed back in.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Right. And then we would just run out.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
And I would remember running out with a stick of
butter one time and some white bread.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
And then I was just rubbing the butter on the bread. Wow.
And just eating it, getting ready to go play football again.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Getting on my bike and I just had to leave.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
And then I was thirsty. So then you just stop
at a random house and just drink their hose water.
Might as well. Yeah. And it tasted like hot plastic.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
Right.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
Now I have 40 ounces of water at all times.

Speaker 6 (18:38):
That copper taste? And you're like, this is hot?

Speaker 1 (18:41):
And nobody even cared. Nobody even cared. It's like, oh,
so-and-so is drinking out of my house.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Drinking out of my hose.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Totally normal.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
Totally normal. Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:51):
Here's another story I was going to mention. This is
a story that came out and I thought, you know what?
I agree with this.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
The thumbs up emoji is the most dismissive emoji you
could possibly use. It's the new way of saying K.

Speaker 3 (19:06):
I think it depends on the context. Because I always
switch back and forth. Like, does it deserve a thumbs up,
a heart, or two exclamation points? You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Two exclamation points? Well, yeah. Oh, that emoji.

Speaker 3 (19:17):
Yeah. When you, like, do someone's... Text.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
That's just me cosigning. If you say something, I'll hit
you with the double exclamation marks.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Yeah, he will.

Speaker 3 (19:25):
So you're saying if I actually text the emoji, that
might be dismissive, yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:30):
If you thumbs up me, I'm just going to go, well,
you know what? You're an a-hole. That's just does it
not come across weird to you?

Speaker 3 (19:39):
It does, but I don't ever do that. I just
double click the text and then I pick an emoji.
I never send the thumbs by itself. Thumbs up.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Yeah, but even if it's the double tapping the emoji
or the text, it's still. kind of weird to hit you.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
With the just i feel like that's different though why
i feel like that's like more casual oh cool.

Speaker 5 (19:55):
Thumbs up you know you i just like thumbs up
bro i just noticed this the other day you know
you can make your own emojis no yeah like what
i went to search for an emoji how we're just
searching it you know if you you never search for
an emoji Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Yeah, like you go to your text or whatever, you're
going to search something, whatever. And I hit, oh, whatever,
search for this emoji in that bar. And then it
didn't have it, you know? And then it said, would
you like to make it?

Speaker 7 (20:19):
What?

Speaker 1 (20:20):
And I was like, yeah, I want to make it.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
What'd you make?

Speaker 1 (20:22):
I made a sombrero.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Send it to me.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
I will. But there you go. What? So many fun
facts today. I wish I had a sound effect. I'd
play it. No, I hit an air horn. Oh, that
doesn't fit.

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Who has an air horn?

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Oh, there we go. The hi button. Thank you. All right, Pooh.
Relax with that. Okay, Pooh. Shut the hell up. Sorry.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
It's Billy's birthday. Should we just eat too while we're
at it?

Speaker 1 (20:49):
Well, I was going to say, I don't know. You
got anything you want to talk about, Candace?

Speaker 3 (20:53):
I've been looking at literally everything online right now. I
think we've talked about everything, but there was this embarrassing
celebrity moments. Did you see this list?

Speaker 1 (21:02):
I did see that.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
And I thought it was funny because some of these
I actually forgot about. Celebrities we're talking about or somebody ranked.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah. You know, and I love a good list.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
But somebody ranked the most, I guess, the most embarrassing
celebrity moments of all time. And I can think of
one right off the bat that, you know, you see
it happen. Because I'm very awkward when it comes to
watching other people's awkward moments.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah. Like, I can't stand it. You know me, and
I love pranks. I love jokes. But I cannot stand
watching somebody else get embarrassed.

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, no, it's hard.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
Like the third party cringe to me is the worst.
I can't watch it.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
So to me, they were missing one huge one that
I thought was one of the cringiest moments of all time.
And it's maybe because I think the world of this
guy as an artist and rest in peace to Michael Jackson.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
But I will never forget to me one of the
most embarrassing celebrity moments when he was at an award show.
And do you remember? He was on stage and he
thought that whatever was a Lifetime Achievement Award and it wasn't.
And it was like the cake cutter or something.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
It was something ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
And he was holding it up so proud and started
doing an acceptance speech and it wasn't even the award.
It was one of the cringiest things. I've ever been
like I had it. No, I can't watch it.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
I might look it up later. I didn't realize that
Taylor Swift was on this list for her acceptance speech
for woman of the decade. I guess she kept like
pausing like she was waiting for the audience to clap
because usually everyone's clapping and she has to give the like, oh,
my gosh.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Face, you know, like I can't believe I'm accepting this.
But I didn't expect to see her have an embarrassing
moment ever.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Why? Did they not clap?

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Yeah, no one was clapping.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Oh, God. Yeah. But sometimes they tell those audiences not
to clap. Right. Hold your applause.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, they'll say, hold your applause, or they have somebody
who tells you when to clap and when to laugh.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
So maybe they were telling that. That just could be
a miscommunication. I mean, I've had an embarrassment. What's your
most embarrassing moment? Do you know your most embarrassing moment ever?

Speaker 3 (23:10):
I think I try to block those things out when
they happen to me. But I did when I was
a kid and I was in a bowling league.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
I know.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
Fun fact. But I draw I like my finger got
stuck in the ball and it landed on my left
hand and broke a finger.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (23:25):
Super embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
You know, Candace, you don't realize Candace was one of
the best. Bowlers in, you know, in North Texas. Oh,
in Texas in general?

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Okay. Do you know your most embarrassing moment, Pooh? Oh, yeah.
You were with me.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
Remember when I thought that girl was pregnant?

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Oh, Pooh.

Speaker 6 (23:43):
Oh, there we go.

Speaker 7 (23:44):
Bye.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
