No, I just never talked to anyone. I've seen it on,

literally almost did. But I mean, I feel like the community,
the furry community I'm talking about, gets like misunderstood so much,
like I kind of like freak out or like kicking
out a little bit. I figure, maybe like we should

I get that real quick, just so because some people
might not know. And I just thought about that, Yeah,
what a furry is a fur it's and it's I
guess it's kind of hard to explain. Maybe you could
explain a little better, but you could explain what being
a furry is all about.

Yeah, I mean for anyone like who doesn't know, being
a furry is like pretty much like basically it's part
of a community that creates characters and brings them to
life through art, costume, cosplay stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
So you have your suit that you wear and like,
you know, it's it's your character.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
Yeah. I've got like a few furry like conventions over
the past few years, and I absolutely like dug it.
I loved it. But what frustrates me is that nobody
bets an eye when someone duds up as like Jedi
or like a comic con. It's like so accepted, but
like for like a furry, people think it's like the
weirdest things.

Like you're right, I mean, people do dress up to
go to comic con all the time, and it's not
that big of a deal, is.

It, Because like those are like major motion picture like franchises.

I thought furries were a bunch of mascots just whoa
getting together?

WHOA.

That's I'm not trying to insult mascot uniform.

Yeah, I mean for me, it's like a creative outlet.

And I know, like so usually people have their first
sona you know, you have your own first sona personality Okay,
so no, I'm not I'm not making that up.

It's like an alternate reality.

Do you have a first SONA like a specific one.

My main one is this like kind of like dog.
It's like not goofy, but like I wear pants and
like you know, it's kind of like I created it myself.
It's kind of like like the face kind of looks
like a like a shit to okay, and I'm wearing
like kind of like old what they used to wear
like that, like hundreds of those like that's stockings and

like that, like it was like brown Shores, you know,
like that style. Like yeah, and before like electricity, he
kind of looks like a gentleman dog.

Yeah, okay, you know, no, he sounds sophisticated. He sounds sophisticated, exactly. Yeah,
he sounds very welcoming.

He brings books. Uh oh, he loves to talk about Yeah.

Yeah, well good. So you're terrified that she's gonna freak
out and run when she hears about your pers SONA.

Yeah, I think I'm some kind of weirdo. And also
people think it's like some fetish and it's not.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, well who used to be a mascot. Yeah, he
was a mascot in high school, which is pretty close.
Not that it's not a lifestyle like you in no
disrespect to the furry community.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
But he knows what it's like to take on a character.

He does.

He just dance with the cheerleaders that he was a
black panther. Yeah, the original back.

You give it like a hundred percent. You are that character.
You're not just like in a costume being yourself. You
like you're you're putting on, you know, putting on a
whole persona.

I mean, I don't know about a persona. I just
dance with a panther. Got it doesn't sound like you're
really good at it. I mean that was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
It's everything I do. I get into and I appreciate
his passionate attitude towards me. I'm not knocking you.

I just like, I just I don't know enough about
it to be like gung ho about it.

But you know he's playing it down. He doesn't want
to be embarrassed. This is exactly why the furry community
isn't thriving the way it should, because people like him
don't embrace the lifestyle.

Candice if you're dating a guys over a month and

I definitely be in shock, because, well, like I said,
it takes a lot of your time and passion and
like that's like you said, it's more of a lifestyle.

What if he showed up to your apartment like in
his in his costume, in his persona, that.

Would take a minute to process.

Let's say you really you've done that right, but you
really like this guy. This is not just this has
been on a couple months.

Of dating, and well maybe I would learn to love
that sort of lifestyle as well. I think if someone's
that passionate about something like you should give it a chance.
And then if it's not your thing.
