Is this harmless stress relief… or a secret that’s slowly becoming a problem? In this Dirty Little Secret, a married man admits he’s been keeping a major secret from his wife — and it has nothing to do with cheating. After his wife became concerned about how much he was gaming at home, she banned video games from the house altogether. Instead of quitting, the caller made a bold move: he took his PlayStation to his office. Now, he stays late at work under the guise of finishing projects — when in reality, he’s gaming in secret. He insists it helps him decompress, clear his head, and avoid stress… but he also knows he’s lying by omission.

Memorable moments include:
  • “I literally moved my PlayStation to work.”
  • “She banned video games at home.”
  • “Is this self‑care… or sneaking around?”
This Dirty Little Secret sparks a bigger conversation about boundaries, addiction, communication in marriage, and when coping mechanisms quietly cross into deception.

Don’t forget to subscribe, leave a review, and share this Dirty Little Secret with someone who’s ever stayed “late at work” for suspicious reasons.

Yeah? Pretty much?

Speaker 5 (01:18):
Guys like, and I understand on her side. For a while,
I got pretty bad. It was like every single day
after work, I'd come home and I would get on
the game for hours, and you know, the weekend, they
became like marathons while I was just playing online all
week and you know, I used to even get up early,
but I was addicted.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
I was obsessed.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
I would get up before work and play some play
on games, play Call of Duty for a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
I know how people.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I know people do this so because they are very
I mean, my son played Fortnite for a long time
and I started to get into it.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I'm like, I gotta stop. I'm a grown man. Really
yeah yeah, oh, Billy would be on Yeah. I started
cussing out ten year old online. I'm like, what am
I doing? What is my life?

Speaker 4 (01:59):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
So your wife said enough is enough the kids?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
Yeah, she said, that's this. She goes, I can't watch
a grown man play video games. Twenty four to seven.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
She said, it's the most unattractive thing she's ever seen.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Okay, is it really?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Because I I do like, I know a lot of
friends of mine who are grown ups who game, and
I always wonder how their wives feel about it, and
somewhere I'm sure supported, but it cannas as a woman.
Is it unattractive if a guy plays a grown man
plays video games?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
I mean here and there, I don't have a problem
with it. But if you're spending you know, every day
you're making time, the weekends, are these marathons like you're
talking about. Yeah, I'm really questioning what what your priorities.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
Are in life? Does it also depend on what video game? Yeah? Probably,
like if you're grown, if you're grown and you're playing Rodbox, Yeah, yeah,
that's a little Chris.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Okay, so she said that, and you said, okay, let's
figure this out.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
You know, I was a little embarrassed, and and you know,
I was like, you know what, Bay find, I'll stop playing,
And I did.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
I just stopped playing at home. What I didn't tell
her is, you know the PlayStation of work?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Oh did you really?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, so my my PS five is at work and
every now and then I'll be like, hey, I got
to stay late and finish a project, but I'm just
dimming the lights in the office and playing tele gime.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Oh my god, you're staying late at work to play
video games and telling her you're working late.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
That's that's bit. Yeah, that's a problem. It's better than cheating.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
It is better than cheating.

Speaker 1 (03:31):
But I mean there's always worse though, Yeah, it could
be worse.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
This is bad.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I don't think it's that bad.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
Like it's not like we have kids or anything, Okay,
And I'm not out like at the bars getting messed
up or anything.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
I'm just playing video games.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
I'm not saying she should cut you off completely, but
staying late, Like if you're doing this a couple of
times a week, that's hours away from her, right and
you're hiding it.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
That's where it gets weird to me personally.

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Yeah, I mean, I understand it's strange. That's why I
called you guys to talk about it.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
But also like, I don't know I'm banned at the
house estcially, like I knew at.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Home I was overdoing it.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
I was overdoing it at the house, but I should
feel like I should still be allowed to play sometimes
she basically wants me to just quit completely.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Well, because it's like an addiction.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Yeah, it is.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
You know, Candas what if Eric, your husband came to
you and was like, hey, you know what, I've been
saying that I'm going on in car rides with the
guys in our Porsche club. But really I've been going
to a gaming facility and playing Minecraft.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Oh that's weird.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
What if he likes it though?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Well, I mean, why is he going to a gaming
facility and telling me he's out with his buddies, his
car guys because.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
He knows that you're not gonna want him to play
at home? Right if he says, hey, you know what,
end Zo leave me alone. Can't just leave me alone.
I'm gonna go in the other room and I got
to play my video games for a couple hours.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Well what am I doing for a few hours?

Speaker 3 (04:53):
I don't care what you do. Yeah, this is me
in my roblocks time.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
No, I mean but she but she made she asked
the right question.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
She said, what am I doing for those hours?

Speaker 4 (05:05):
But like a.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
Relationship is two individuals coming together, you have to have
your own individual time. And for me, it's like it's
relaxing it's playing call of duty at work lying or
is it self care?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Oh? Oh self?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
I mean, I guess everybody's version of self care is different.
But I mean you don't feel like you're addicted.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
I mean, the people who are addicted never admit it.
I would say I'm very obsessed with it. But also
like I was able to not do it at the house.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, well that's okay. All right, I'm gonna see what
ladies thing.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
I'm gonna see if any other women experience this problem
where they have to cut their grown.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Grown men, my own husbands and boyfriends off from video games.
We'll see what they say.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
But hey, we do appreciate your secret, and thank you
for being honest with us.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
Thank you, guys. It was good talking to you too.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I've just never really been into video games. Yeah, so
I don't have to worry you about it.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
But you know, like I remember one time this girl
that I know, she was like, oh my god, this
guy told me for a first date that I should
come over.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
We could have some drinks and play Mario Kart.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
