Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's now time for kickoff.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
They have done it two out of the last three years.
The Crusaders pour.
Speaker 3 (00:07):
Out onto the field. There, the twenty twenty four PIAA
five A.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
State champions Cruz Sader Football is brought to you by
Constellation Energy, Tim Decker of Green Spring Advisors and Select
Physical Therapy. Now let's head out to the field with
your game announcers Art Selby, Rob Buglise and Marty Bowman.
Speaker 3 (00:32):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium here in Altuna,
or Selby, Rob Alise, Marty Bowman, JC Beck in the
Fox Sports fourteen sixty studios. We are getting close to
Bishop mcdebit football in this five A state semifinal game
between Bishop mcdebit and the Peters Township Indians who are
thirteen to zero Whipple Champs, Alleghany six Conference champs. And
(00:54):
we have a nice weather for a late November here
in Altuna. And now let's do our Green Spring Advisors
winning game plan. Guys. Vision mcdebit football brought to you
by Tim Decker of Green Spring Advisors. Investing is about
your future. Let then help you create the future you

meet your goals with peace of mind. Visit their website
at GreenSpring Advisors dot com and remember listen to Financial
Freedom of for a long time friend Tim Decker every
Saturday morning at ten over on our sister station news
radio WHP five eighty. Guys, I think in this game,
certainly if you're mcdebit, like most weeks, you want to
get out to a lead, get off to a good
(01:37):
start against this good team. Don't play from behind. I
think you want to run the ball straight at them Swoops.
Look for a big game from Swoops today trying to
run the ball and mcdeviit will continue to do that,
soe bash and we'll have to make some big plays
here and there, and don't commit penalties. That would be
my keys to the game, Marty yours.
Speaker 4 (01:59):
Yeah, you said it really when you penalties will narrow
it down to pre snap penalties and misconducts, and that
we were discussing your earlier off air, there's going to
be holding penalties. Everybody holds, you know, both defenses old,
it's just a matter to what degree and when they're called.
But that's gonna happen. But the ones that you can't
(02:21):
have are the misconducts and the unsportsmanlike conduct for certain
So those are the keys. You know, just you know
you're here because you do certain things. No need to
change a lot of things. You know you do with
what got here.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
And vision mcdebit taking the field over on the opposite
side of the fields. We are on the home side
of things here today Vision mcdebit the visitor here today.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Here's something interesting, and we will not say this very often.
We always talk about weather being a factor. The wind
is a non factor. Today on the way up here
are all we did was talk about how cloudy it was,
and the sun came out. Sun could actually be a factor.
I was watching doing warm ups when Peter's township was
(03:04):
punny and the receiver of the putt was having trouble
with the sun. So that actually could be a factor here.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
So it's gonna be like a Jerry world, is what
you're telling me.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Martia. It's good Coach Wector's not up here in the
booth with us because you that hole. Bringing that up
is bad mojo because it brings back two thousand and
five here against mckee'sport in the same round when Aaron
Berry lost a deep ball in the sun that would
have been a short touchdown and mcdevin ended up losing
that game fourteen to thirteen.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Well, yeah, let's not go back there again. We'll wipe
that away right now, clean it up. So, as I mentioned,
we're on the home side of things here at Mansion
Park Stadium, and the Indians of Peters Township have taken
the field. Red jerseys with gray pants. Pants come to
look like Ohio State kind of fashion, if you want
to say that, with some red, black and white trim,
(04:00):
and of course they have white helmets. Fish and mcdebitt
today with the white uniforms, white pants, white jerseys with
the gold numbers and of course always the gold helmets
over in the far side. A nice crowd out here
in al Tuna, the die hard fans and friends and
family here supporting the teams here this afternoon.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
All right, Rob and I are going to give you
a forever game Mulligan on Peters Mountain. You have to
go over to around it every day in your life.
It's going to be difficult for you not to say
Peters Mountain.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Okay, I'll try to not say that, of course. Just
a beautiful scene here at Mansion Park in al Tuna,
with the mountains in the background. You have some radio
towers off to her left and baseball fields off to
her right. And just as Marty mentioned, the whole drive
out here, it was just cloudy and just looked like
a miserable, olite November day, and it's turned into a
(04:55):
beautiful afternoon here at Mansion Park Stadium in Altuna. Quite
as warm as though as when we were here, you know,
probably like six to eight weeks ago or so, when
Bishop McDevitt took on Altuna.
Speaker 5 (05:07):
Yeah, the last Friday night in September, we were here
and the goal obviously was to get back here. And
this team has really you talk to a lot of
fans during the week, you hear from a lot of
people and comment I get from a lot of people
as wow, they've really seemed to come together. They've really
seemed to peek at the right time. And I say, yeah,
it's coach Wector's vision. As he talks to Marty, he
(05:29):
talks to us every summer. You know, the goal is
sure you want to win those big Marquee games in
August and September. But the goal is to be playing
your best football in late November and Lord Willing early December.
And once again coach Wector has brought his team along
and they're doing it once again. We've seen it every
year and this is another big time opportunity for them today.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Yeah. I mean, the offense is playing so Sebastian's playing
the best football he has all year. The receivers, we
watched them get better each week. Offensive line has been solid,
and I mean in that running game, you knew going
into this season it was going to be dominant and
it has been. The defense just continues to get better
every week. So many good players, I mean, everybody on
that defense seems to make a play every week. And
(06:14):
the one thing I was actually producing a show this
week on our sister station WHP five eighty Letur Live.
Dave Lettour went to Bisha mcdebit many years ago date,
and he was talking about mcdebitt when they lost in
the state playoffs two years ago. They really struggled with
special teams in that game against Dallas, and ever since
that game, Bision mcdebit's special teams have been top notch.
(06:36):
You have a great kicker, and it's very rare we
sit here and see the other team do anything on
the returns or punt returns. Mcdebit's coverage has just been
almost perfect. So we're just about ready to go. Officials
standing out at midfield right now, and the Indians of
Peters Township huddling up on the near side. Bisha mcdebitt
(06:57):
doing the same over on the far side. And guys,
we love the regular season, we love district playoffs, but
where these state playoff games are exciting. We've been here
a few times throughout the years, and uh, this should
be a dandy.
Speaker 5 (07:10):
Yeah, it never gets old. You know, these games, you
never take any of them for granted. I mean, I
know a lot of people think ill mcdebit always, you know,
they get this far so so often, but you do
not take any of them for granted. It's a it's
an absolutely special opportunity and this team really understands that.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
So it looks like Bisha mcdebbitt will kick off to
the Indians. Looks like Lucas Ross is backed deep. Well,
now they're to return a mens running all the way
to the opposite end of the field here bish mcdebbitt
will kick off going left to right from the home
(07:51):
side of things here at Mansion Park in now Tuna,
and we'll get to see Aiden grell A kickoff here
to get things started in this state semi final game
here between Bisho mcdebitt and Peters Township Indians. As we mentioned,
undefeated on the season, Bisha mcdebbitt would lose their first
two games of the regular season, and that feels like
(08:13):
a long time ago. At this point, guys, is the
Crusaders have rolled off eleven straight since. So here we go,
the crowd getting into it. Everyone fired up and ready
to roll. What an honor to be here calling a
state semi final game here between Bisho mcdebit and Peters
Township here at Mansion parking out Tuna. Brella goes back
(08:33):
to his thirty and we're ready to roll here.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Guys, needless penalties eliminate him and you've got a great
chance of winning the football game.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Mark, here's Grolla's kick. It's a high, deep kick, but
it does look like it's returnable, taking it to three.
They'll bring this back to the ten up to the
fifteen and they get up to about the twenty four
yard line. A nice return that time by the Indians
of Peters Township.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
A high kick, guys, it seemed to like die about
halfway down. The kick looked like I mean, Grel's had
so many touchbacks and you thought it was heading for
the end zone. It just looked like it it died
down there.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Yeah, the wind is a factor. I was watching him
during warmups when he was trying field goals from the
left hash mark. He was aiming to put them inside
the post, and some of them when wind was hooking him.
So not a shock there. Davar Chance and will Yost
on that stop.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Nolan de Lucia, the quarterback headed to Villanova next year.
He's got two white outs to the near side, one
of the far new paper in the backfield with him,
as we mentioned, new paper for three touchdowns in the
second half and that come from behind win against Pine Richland.
And they will hand this one off to the right
side and Bishon McDevitt shuts it down immediately and not
(09:50):
sure if he even got a half yard on that one.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Jakhai Logan number seventy three absolutely just threw his blocker
Aside was on top of new paver before he even
could think about where he wanted to go.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
Tight end Lucas Shannafel checks into the game for the Indians.
After that play, they'll bring one wide receiver way out
here on the near side. Another man goes in motion.
That's Peter Luke, and now a stop of your play.
Let's see maybe a substitution issue there, or an equipment
(10:26):
issue maybe for McDevitt.
Speaker 5 (10:27):
Looks like some kind of an equipment thing. I have
no idea.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, they had Jack ky Logan go out. Look whatever
it is, it looks like you fixed it already, so
he should be right back in there.
Speaker 3 (10:39):
Luke comes out, lines up as wide out on the
near side. Peter's township will fire went out here. De
Lucia fires it up to the thirty two yard line,
pass his complete out here to Ross and not going
to be enough for the first down, but close to it.
It'll be third down in about two.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
Ross's just kind of wide open underneath Jamison Crumbel there
on the defense, and they've got a third in just
a long one here to convert.
Speaker 3 (11:09):
They'll line up with one wide receiver to each side
of the field, new paper in the backfield. DeLucia waits
the snap. They continue to look over here at their
coach on the near sideline. Now they'll bring a man
in motion. DeLucia waits the snap. He'll give this the
new paper up the middle. He's tripped up, but I
(11:30):
think he was able to fly through the air just
enough to get the first down and they will move
the chains.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
Yeah, Zach Brown shot in there and tripped him up,
hit him behind the line of scrimmage and literally just
put him airborne, and he happened to just land right
where he needed to, just pass the marker.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
So first down and ten for the Indians as they
come with two wide outs to each side of the field.
Now one back in the backfield. De Lucia waits the
snap back to pass. Here comes a pressure and he
dumps one over the middle. Looked like he just kind
of threw it into the ground as the pressure was
coming his way.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
Yeah. I don't know if you felt the pressure coming
from the far side of the field. It was there,
and as you said, Art, he just really kind of
threw a line drive on the ground just to get
rid of it to avoid a loss.
Speaker 5 (12:23):
Yeah, it was Tron Dennis that was bringing the heat
there and was right on top of him, and Maurice
Barnes and company really sniffed out that screen.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
Pass Rost and Peter the white outs on the fore side.
He's got two white outs here on the near side
on second and ten. The Lucia back to pass. Now
he's going to keep it himself, takes it to the
right side and he's tripped up. Good tackle from someone
by mcdebit on the far side to keep him from
having a big game.
Speaker 5 (12:48):
That was Maurice Barnes.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
Barnes got in here Underneathan. As you said, Art, that
saved a huge game.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
So it's third and eight. That would have been a
first down and probably into mcdeby a territory if he
breaks free.
Speaker 5 (13:01):
Yeah, he had a lot of green turf in front
of him if he broke broke that edge and Maurice
Barns stayed home again.
Speaker 3 (13:09):
Two whiteouts on each side of the field, one back
in the backfield. Now they'll bring a man in motion.
That's Pileetti to Lucia back to pass fires one. This
one goes up in the air as he was hit
as he unleashed it, and it's incomplete. So the mcdevit
defense comes up with a big stot and DeLucia took
a shot on that one.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Guys Maurice Barns with a big time hit. Timed that
thing perfectly, Marty and just popped him right as he
got rid of the ball and sent that thing fluttering.
He did.
Speaker 4 (13:39):
Peters was actually fortunate that Dura wasn't a mcdevid's secondary
player in the area there, because the ball just kind
of limped out of there. He took a huge hit.
He is feeling to hear on the sidelines.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
Looked like a little blooper into the outfield and they
will pun.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Here comes the pressure and mcdebth boxe it Crusaders are
gonna come up with it at the twenty five yard line.
Speaker 5 (13:59):
Patrick right, number twenty one, Patrick Wright. We've seen that
young man make so many big plays this year. A
kick return for touchdown against State College. There's four TFLs
last week, and Patrick Wright came clean and blocked that.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
He came very very clean. It was evident that it
was going to be blocked. Almost as the snap got off.
Creighton Milch eventually falls on it for mcdebitt.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah. Lehman the punter resting couldn't get it off in
mcdebitt with great field position to start their first drive
of the game at the twenty six yard line. Two
white outs to the far side, one of the near
that Toulton. Sebastian Williams awaits the snap. He'll give this
when the swoop swoops to the left side, gets a
couple down about the twenty three yard line, and it'll
(14:46):
be second and seven. So Nazir Jones Davis the Crusaders
will go with him on first down, picks up the three.
It'll be second and seven. Is a Crusaders break cuddle.
So Gage Ruth is alone on the right side. Down here,
we'll see if mcdebit looks his way. One white out
(15:07):
on the fore side, and Sebastian will give this when
the swoops again and swoops pushes it up the middle
inside the twenty down to the eighteen, and mcdebit will
have a third down and short. Guys.
Speaker 5 (15:20):
Yeah, they're attacking this this six man front. They run
a Peter's Township runs an unorthodox three three five with
Lehman and Shannon Felt the two big division ie kids
on the edge and mcdebbit, trying to go right up
the middle, nod to the edges against those guys.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Mcdebit comes with two white outs on the fore side,
none on the near side. This time, Sebastian, we'll give
it to Swoops again. Swoops up the middle. He's got
the first down in war as he gets down to
about the twelve.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
Soops says, a nice job. He going off the left tackle,
takes maybe two three steps and able to just do
a little bit of a jump step to the right
and able to pick up more than the first down.
Speaker 3 (16:00):
So first down in ten. Mcdebit at the twelve as
they go left the right from the home side of
things here at Mansion Park Stadium in Altoona, Holton Junior
and Gage Ruth out on the far side again mcdebit,
no whiteouts on the near side, and this one will
be LaRue and this time Peters Township makes a good
play on LaRue Junior as he picked up nothing on
(16:22):
that one, guys.
Speaker 4 (16:23):
Mcdebit. Very fortunate there, guys, because the snap came back
just floating and the defender was almost there as Sebastian
Williams was handing it off like I said he had
to wait on the ball to get back there.
Speaker 5 (16:39):
So that was number fifty two Keenan Dorian, senior defensive
tackle for the Indians making that stop.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
This time the Crusaders will bring the two whiteouts on
the near side, went back in the backfield to the
right of Sebastian waits a snap second and eleven. Sebastian
back to pass, has pressure and he will be sacked
back at the sixteen yard line.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
They ran Gauge Ruth from this near side on a post.
There wasn't really a lot of room there. Mcdebitt. Neither
of the mcdebitt WID's got much of separation on that.
Sebastian was going to try to run out of there
and just really couldn't get started.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Ye Number number fifty Gabe Keta defensive tackle who comes
into this game with nine sacks for the Indians.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
It's third and fourteen from mcdebit at the sixteen yard line,
three wide outs to the near side, one of the
far Sebastian back to pass and now penalty flag comes
flying in and this is going to be against mcdebit
as well. That'll cost him five.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
That's one of those pre snaps. We talked about one
of the two wides on this side took off before the.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
Snap, and this is where Pine Richland ran into problems.
Is the game unrabbed for them. They got into these
third and long second alongs where you allow Peters Townships
strength of their defense, which is their pass rush's that's
the number one thing for this team. They had ten
sacks art in their Whipy'll semi final win against Upper
(18:09):
Saint Clair. They love to pin their ears back and
come after.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
You want to make sure at the worst you don't
lose any more yard to chair you're in field goal
range here for Grella. Three wide outs to the near side,
one to the far. Sebastian back to pass, plenty of time,
fires won towards the end zone. Nobody out there. Mcdebit
receiver down and I don't see any flags coming in.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
No, he just slipped and fell down. That was Howard
Holton Junior making a cut at around the eight yard
line and he just slipped that time a really clean
pocket for Sebastian. He had plenty of time, but nowhere
to go with the football. And just of note to
Lucia who took the big shot from Barnes. He was
in there the whole series at his safety spot, so
he's good to go.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
This will be a thirty eight yard field goal by
Aiden Grella to give mcdebitt the lead. Here, six thirty
six left to play, first quarter, and here's the kick.
It is up, plenty of leg and it is no
good they say, so the Indians with a huge defensive
(19:13):
stand after Bision mcdevion blocks the punt. Aiden Grella comes
on here and plenty of leg on that kick. Guys
looked good from here, but obviously it's tough to tell
from where we're sitting, and it's rolled no goods. So
this game stays scoreless, and the Indians will take over
at their twenty yard line and they will drive right
(19:34):
to left. From the press box side of things here
at Mansion Park in Altoona.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Yeah, I couldn't tell, what, you know, if it went
which post it went outside of. I mean it was
plenty of high wide left.
Speaker 4 (19:47):
I think wide left. I looked for any reaction from
mcdebit here, and I was watching Tyler Reinhart to hold her,
and he didn't give any negative reaction like they thought
it was a bad call.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Delucia's pass over the middle incomplete, tried to hit Peter
Luke on the slant and off the fingertips and incomplete
covered by Ryan Hart there.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
And that's what was happening during warm ups, as I mentioned,
especially when he was trying field goals from the left
hash they were all the wind was pushing them all
and he was trying to account for that. And there
it seemed like you said he had plenty of leg
It must have just barely went wide to that left
post on the thirty nine yard or.
Speaker 6 (20:26):
So.
Speaker 3 (20:26):
It'll be second down and ten o'clock stop, six twenty
six left to play, first quarter, no score in the game,
two white outs to the fore side. They'll bring a
man in motion to Lucia will hand this one off
and mcdebitt adjusts to that immediately and shuts it down.
As that was a new paper again.
Speaker 4 (20:43):
Jakai Logan once again, Ja Kyle Ogan. Yeah, he's in
on that. He really closed that up, robbed no room
at all to get buy him now.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
Jakaia closed it up in Taron Dennis also getting off
the block quick.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
So third nine from the twenty one yard line. There's
some late substitutions by the Indians here she nfelt the
tight end's gonna check out. Now they continue to look
over here to their coach on the near side. De
Lusiah waits a snap. He's got two white outs to
(21:18):
each side of the field. De Lusia fires one of
the outside out there and this one I believe is
complete up to the forty four yard line.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Yeah, that was number three PJ Luke blanketed by Crumwell,
great coverage, not really much room for DeLucia to put
the ball. But and it looks like we do have
a penalty. I mean, they're marching backwards, but I didn't
see a flag. I know Nick Devitt was signaling like
there was a push off, like they thought there was
offensive interference. But now I do see a flag back
(21:53):
here at the twenty.
Speaker 3 (21:54):
Six illegal man downfield.
Speaker 4 (21:55):
I think, yeah, that's what the car was.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
So a big break for vision mcdebvion.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
There it is, guys. Rob you said he had nowhere
to put the ball. He didn't, but he was able
to put it there. It was a great throw by Delusia.
Speaker 5 (22:07):
Yep, as we mentioned, he's going to Villanova, although he's
going from what I've read and understood from talking to
coaches he's going to play safety there. But if you're
a three year starter at a school like this a
quarterback and you have eighty five hundred yards, you're a
good quarterback. I mean, it goes without saying.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
Now mcdeviit declines the penalty. So as was the past
not complete? Did they roll it out of bounds? Because
it's fourth down now and they're on the punt.
Speaker 5 (22:36):
You know, come to now you say that, Art, I mean,
I thought they gave him a catch, But you're right.
Why would McDevitt be declining the penalty and they're not.
They're not marking off any yardage. This is I'm going
to go back to my soapbox, Marty where but.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
Well, they're going fourth down? I don't yeah, yeah, but
it wasn't. I didn't thought it was only going to
be third down.
Speaker 5 (22:55):
It was third and nine and they completed or so
we thought. It's not a loss of down, is it on?
Speaker 3 (23:01):
So so there there's they're waving it off. We're on
the Peters Township set.
Speaker 5 (23:10):
This is my ran. Every week, the PIAA needs to
have every one of these head officials miked up, every
one of them in every stadium, even if there's ten
people there, they just need to have microphones so we
know what's happening.
Speaker 4 (23:23):
So what they said was a no catch Oka. That's
what the official came over and.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Said, here's Layman gets it off. This time. It's a
line drive kick. It bounces down the field and this
one will roll out of bounds over on the far side.
So not the prettiest punt in the world this time
by Lehman, but it does. It does. It's effective.
Speaker 5 (23:42):
At least that makes sense, Marty, because that's that makes
sense then why they declined the penalty. But we again,
we couldn't see that it was the opposite sideline. He
came down with the football, but we couldn't see if
he was in bounds or not. I know, the mcdebit
kids were protesting a little, but you kind of expect that.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
So yeah, we say, like, no official signal, buy enough.
I mean, normally when you're watching a football game, you'll
get rep right there saying out of bounds or right.
You just didn't see it. So I formation for mcdebitt
Crusaders are going to run this one on the near
side and the Indians all over at that time as
they shut Fish and mcdebit down. There is no gain
on that one. It might actually lost a half yard
(24:23):
as that was swoops on the carry.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
Number thirty three James Spratt, six and fifteen pound linebacker
for that middle linebacker who had twenty two tackles against
Pine Richland last week.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
So it's second and ten for mcdebit. Theyll come with
three wide outs to the far side, one to the
near and one back in the backfield to the left
of Sebastian Williams. Back to pass. Here comes a pressure,
dumps one over the middle and fits one into a
tight window up and around the forty one yard line
to his tight end, Liam Fuller. So it'll be third
down in about five for mcdebitt.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
I'm not really sure how he got that in there.
Speaker 5 (25:02):
Yeah, he speaking of not having anywhere to put the football. Marty,
Oh my goodness. It was a great throw.
Speaker 4 (25:09):
It was a very great throw and kept it down
where no other hands could, you know, get in there.
And yeah, just a great job by Sebastian Williams to
get that in there.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
Three wide outs come to the near side, one of
the far I'm third and five for McDevitt, Sebastian and
nutshot on back to pass as time fires won and
it's caught by Gauge Ruth up here in midfield, and
Gage tries to stretch that football out there, but he
has the first down and much more into Indian territory.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
I don't know about you, guys. I mean, Gage comes
up with so many clutch catches. But he made me
a little nervous there. But the way he was handling
that football when he pulled it down and tried to
stretch forward with one arm when there was three red
jerseys around him.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
Yeah, I wondered at myself, Rob because I thought, well,
I hope he knows he was well passed the stairs.
It did not need a to stretch that out anymore.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Two white outs to the far side from mcdebit, one
to the near first and ten at the forty seven
yard line. Crusader's go left the right from the press
box side of things. Sebastian looked like he was going
to hand it off, and he ended up keeping it
and just runs forward. They lose about a yard on
that one.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
I think that was a communications thing there, because I
think he wanted to hand it off.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Yeah, with Jerom LaRue Jr.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
So lose the yard would be second and eleven. We're
down to three fifteen left to play here already in
the first quarter. Fast moving first quarter, no score in
the game. Like Debitt had the best chance to score
as they blocked a punt, ended up settling for a
field goal that sailed wide. Crusaders second eleven at the
forty eight three white outs to the far side. Sebastian
(26:51):
back to pad. There comes a pressure and he is
going to be sacked back at the forty yard line.
We don't see this happen very often to mcdebit's offense.
Two sacks early on in this game.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Well, we talked about this past rush and there was
number fifty seven Brady O'Connor two hundred and forty five
pounds junior, along with Lucas Shannefelt getting in there. And yeah,
I cannot recall the last time Sebastian was sacked twice
in one game. And we have to go way back
to earlier in the season.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
It's a third down and extremely long for Bish mcdebbit,
twenty one yards from the forty two two white outs
to the near side, one to the far Sebastian back
to pass fires went down the middle of the.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
Philip hit the twin the ten five touch down Bishop mcdebbit.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
Harold Holden Jr. And the Crusaders go up six nothing
with two ten left.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
Up ashing again under some duress. Very patient waited for
Howard to break, but he never really broke free. He
was double covered and again theme of the first quarter.
A tight window already put it right on Howard. Conna
stutter staffed and defenders sort of lost their balance.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
It was. It was a pretty looking throw from Sevastia,
no doubt about it, and then Holton making the move
there almost simultaneous with the catch. He made the move
and was able to just walk into the end z.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Of Ryan Hart theholder. The kick his up and this
time it's good. So Bishop mcdebbit, two ten left to
play in the first quarter, they take a seven to
nothing lead over Peters Township. Let's take a break. You're
listening to Bisha mcdebit football here on Fox Sports fourteen
sixteen iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
The electricity on a football field. This is Bishop mcdebit
football on Fox Sports fourteen to sixty.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Sebastian Williams with a fifty eight yard touchdown pass on
third down and twenty one to Harold Holton Junior, and
with two ten left to play in the first quarter,
Bishop mcdeva go was up seven to nothing over Peters
Township here at Mansion Parks Tatium and Outuna.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Guys, what looked like it was going to be a
very unsuccessful drive for Bisha mcdebitt. Turns out Sebastian Williams
three really great throws on that drive results in a
touchdown for the Crusaders.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
We're sitting here talking about not seeing Sebastian sacked twice
in one game in the Peters Township defense. Really starting
to rev it up, and Sebastian with a perfectly thrown
ball down the middle of the field to Holt and
right between two defenders, and he took it to the
house from that point on. So mcdebitt with that seven
to nothing lead, guys here in a big lead here
early on.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
I think one thing mcdebitt is going to have to,
you know, come up with something which against that blitz
when they see it coming and throw some hot routes
with some quick slants across the middle, uh to give
Williams a little bit more protection to throw the football.
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Stay tuned to our postgame show later today as we'll
have our player of the game brought to you by
Game Day Mentealth defining a new era in ment health.
Speaker 4 (30:33):
I think the other thing that they could capitalize on
is Gage Ruth has distinct height advantage over any of
the single coverage guys on him right to see him
do some fifty to fifty balls.
Speaker 8 (30:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (30:46):
The corners for Peters are listed as five ten and
six foot and the safeties are all five ten, five
eleven except for DeLucia. They play three safeties. We talked
about this unworthodox three three five. They play three safeties
back there, but you're you're absolutely right, great point.
Speaker 3 (31:04):
Marty Grella will kick off going left to right from
the press box side of things here at Mansion Park
Stadium and this one we'll go into the end zone
for a touchback. And that is such a weapon at
the high school level when your kickers kicking touchbacks. We
said it all year. So Peters Township now trailing for
the first time today seven to nothing as their offense
(31:26):
will come out here for a third time today. Is
mcdevid's defense has done a nice job here early on
in the football game, of course, they had the big
special teams block as well. On the punt here come
the Indians out here, led by Nolan de Lusia. Two
wide outs to the near side, one to the far.
(31:47):
De Lusiah shotunfirmation will bring a man in motion from
the far side to the near Delusia back to passer
comes a pressure dumps one quickly to the outside out here.
This is caught out here by a rost and McDevitt
does tackle him down. Could have been a really big
play there as it developed, but mcdebit did slow it down.
Speaker 5 (32:07):
And a little bit extracurriculars after with six five eighty
pound Max Cortes and RJ. Duffy knows to nose and
got a little heated for a minute. Duffy was the
man who originally made the stick there on ross Is.
He just eluded Tyler Reinhart.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
And it was a good thing there because Stuffy took
the shot that late shot and did not retaliate or
he would have gotten the penalty. So it was a
good move on Duffy's part.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
Second and seven, they'll run this one up the middle
for a first down up to about the thirty seven
yard line, and a nice run that time by the Indians,
and they pick up the first down.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
And Patrick Wright was the tackle there that had a
lot of green in front of it. Good tackle there
by right to prevent even a longer run.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
And Peters Township going up tempo.
Speaker 3 (32:57):
Here, one white out to each side of the field,
one back in the backfield. De Lucia will hand this
one off to the right side, and Bishop McDevitt does
a nice job a new Paper of that time, as
he picked up maybe a half yard at the most
that time.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
RJ. Duffy, and there for the Crusaders.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
New Paper is a very patient runner. He seems to
really wait for his blocks to set up and kind
of get behind them. Doesn't take off right away. As
soon as he gets the ball.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Clock down to thirty eight seconds left and running. In
the first quarter, mcdevadd up seven to nothing here at
Mansion Park Stadium in Altuna de Lucia. Waits to snap
and he fakes the handoff on the double reverse. Here
comes a pressure fires one of the outside and a
great catch made out there by the tight end Shanna Felt,
but he only picks up a couple of yards as
(33:49):
mcdebit plays it well and tackles him down. I think
that was a Patrick graydon to tackle for mcdevid.
Speaker 5 (33:54):
Atri g makes a play in r J Duffy there
help him. What a one handed grab by Shannon Felt
needed every bit of his six foot four frame and
reached up and pulled that down with one hand. How
did the Stanford next year?
Speaker 3 (34:09):
So that will be the final play of the first quarter.
We'll switch ends of the field. So after one quarter
of play in this five A state semi final game,
it's Bishop mcdebit seven and Peters Township. Nothing will take
a break. You're listening to Bishop mcdebit football here on
Fox Sports fourteen sixty and iHeartRadio.

The game everyone circles on the schedule. This is Bishop
mcdeviit football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Parks Stadium in Altoona.
Here art selby Marty Bowman, Robiglice JC back in the
Fox Sports fourteen sixty studios. Mcdevid up seven nothing outter.
We switched ends of the field Peters Township with a
third and eight from their own forty. As they go
left the right from the home side of things here
at mentioned park stadium, two white outs to the foreside,
(36:12):
one to the near. De Lucia waits to snap back
the pass. There comes the pressure. Fires run over the
middle and a diving catch is made at the forty five.
A penalty flag comes flying in on the near sideline.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
I think it's just gonna be a sideline warning.
Speaker 5 (36:26):
Nice throw by De Lucia, Nice catch by Shanna Felt.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
There's also a flag back at the thirty four.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Yard blanketed by a Kiel and Smith great coverage there,
but again, nice throw, so.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
We had a flag that I agree with you, Marty.
I thought it was a sideline warning, but one way
down the field.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
There's one back at the thirty five of Peters, and
I'll be honest with you, I wasn't. I was watching downfield,
so I don't think there was a late hit or anything.
They're talking to Shanna felt.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
It's a low block on Peters Township, so that'll nullify
that great pass play down the field. Eleven to fifty
five left to play first half, mcdebbit up seven to
nothing and Crusaders get a break on that play.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
Well, it was more than a sideline warning. They called
a not a person unsportsmanlike won the sideline, so it's
an additional fifteen yards. The ref indicated right away. I
watched as the ball was caught and he did emotion
as he threw the flag towards the sideline, assuming he
(37:43):
was just gonna call a warning warning.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
But we had a similar situation last week where they
did that to mcdebit, but I thought it was only
a five yard penalty. So I don't know what happened here,
but the referee was I use his microphone that time,
guys for the you know things I'm always screaming about.
I'm very happy there. We would have never known what
that was all about.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
Balls all the way back to the twelve yard we had.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
This happened to McDevitt last week with the thirty yards
of penalties on one play, and that's what's happened here.
So it's weird because they marked it from the forty
back to the twelve, so it's kind of twenty eight
yards of penalties.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
Third and thirty six from the twelve.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
You need to make sure you get off the field on.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
This Delusiah Fire is one of the outside and overthrows
his receiver and the receiver was hit maybe a tad
later or on the far side. No flag comes in
on that one.
Speaker 5 (38:41):
And seventy two again coming it. Max Court has coming
up after the play and poking his fingers at RJ.
Duffy's face and saying something to RJ. And RJ kN
of just keeps his cool and heads towards the sideline.
Speaker 4 (38:57):
Marty, Yeah, it really sowds some uh, some maturity on that.
On these two times that prevented fifteen yard penalties on
mcdebbit and I don't know that r J. You know,
it wasn't a definitive late.
Speaker 5 (39:11):
Yeah, it wasn't on the incomplete pass me neither, because
it was such a high throat it was way over
his head.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Yeah, Lehman's punt is not the best in the world.
This one will come down at the twenty six yard
line and it's fielded by Ash Farmer.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
Takes it to the time the fire touched there, Bishop
mcdubbitt and the Crusaders go up thirteen to nothing with
eleven thirty six left to play in the first half.
Speaker 5 (39:32):
And there's a flag down on the play though, which
came in a little bit late. And I'm wondering if
this is some kind of a makeup call. Yeah, probably
because Art, when you were calling that play and he
crossed the end zone, there was no flag at the
twenty one yard line. And now there is what a
head's up play though by Ish Palmer, just an amazing play.
(39:56):
Never gave up on the play, read it properly, took
our running start, caught it on a dead run for
a twenty seven yard punt return. But I think they're
gonna call something on mcdebit here. It looks like even
if it's just for a makeup call.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Everyone was just kind of watching it there and this shit, Hey,
I got some green turf in front of me, and
heads up play.
Speaker 5 (40:20):
After the play. After the play, it's an unsportsman like Campbell.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Hillt touchdown gonna count.
Speaker 5 (40:26):
Yes, he said after the play. So we have a punt.
We have a punt return touchdown for Ish Palmer.
Speaker 3 (40:32):
No great, So Vision mcdeva up thirteen nothing.
Speaker 5 (40:35):
Guys, I think it was about twenty seven yards.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
Yeah, well, coaches, uh, saying that Palmer signaled a fair catch.
Speaker 5 (40:45):
I didn't see that at all. No, I didn't see
that at all. That's that's not that.
Speaker 4 (40:49):
But I gotta be honest. The ball didn't go that far. No,
I didn't follow the whole way down the field.
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Aiden Grella on a tempt the extra point for Bishop mcdebbitt,
Ryanhart the holder, and the kick is up and it
is good. So the Crusaders go up fourteen and nothing
with eleven thirty six left to play. First half, will
take a break. You're listening to Vision mcdebit football here
on Fox Sports fourteen sixteen I Heart Radio.

Harris burgs e elite high school football program. This is
Bishop mcdebit football on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
And welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium. Here in now
Tuna or selby Marty Bowman, Robig Leeze, Bishop mcdevadd up
fourteen to nothing. Here we had a fifty eight yard
touchdown pass from Sebastian Williams to Holton Junior put bishopmc
devait up two ten left to play in the first
and then McDevitt's defense gets the ball back and Ish
Palmer returns a short punt for a touchdown to put
(42:23):
the mcdebit Crusaders up fourteen to nothing.
Speaker 11 (42:26):
Here.
Speaker 3 (42:26):
Now is they will kick off. Eleven thirty six left
to play first half, and they'll kick off going right
to left from the home side of things here at
Mansion Park Stadium in al Tuna, and Grella's ball falls
off the tee. Here is mcdebitt will have to kick
off after the penalty back after twenty five yard line.
Speaker 4 (42:49):
Did we get anything definitive on the unsports fanlight?
Speaker 5 (42:52):
It was on Campbell Milch. Okay, they just said number fourteen,
so I don't you know, I didn't see it obviously,
but all right.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
Grella lines up to kickoff here, two men back deep
for the Indians. Here's the Aiden's kick. This one will
come down at the twenty. They return it to the
thirty and up to about the forty yard line and Indians,
with decent filled position to start leave their fourth drive
of the game. Mcdebit up fourteen to nothing. Really important
(43:23):
for mcdebit to keep their foot on the gas. Here
today's Pine Richland learned out the hard way last week.
Speaker 4 (43:29):
Good coverage on the kick return the air by mcdebit.
It was a twenty yard return, but they got it
at the twenty, so yeah, they're naturally out of the
forty now, so good coverage.
Speaker 3 (43:42):
It's like an NFL game. It seems like their team
always takes over close to midfield. Three wide outs to
the near side for the Indians of Peters Township. One
to the far De Lusiah back to pass. Here comes
a pressure dumps a screen pass. It's almost intercepted by mcdebit.
They were in the far side, just over our Jay
Tuffy behind an inch or so.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
Yeah, just able to get a fingertip on it. Just
as you said, another inch lower, you'll be able to
maybe bring that down with one hand. And he had
nothing in front of him but uh, green turf.
Speaker 3 (44:14):
So it'll be second and ten for the Indians. Eleven
twenty six left to play. First half. Indians going left
to right from the press box side of things here
at Mansion Parking now Tuna have their red jerseys, gray
pants and white helmets. Mcdebitt with the white jerseys, gold numbers,
white pants and gold helmets. De Luciah. One wide out
(44:34):
to each side of the field. A man goes in
motion from the near to the far and they will
hand this one off the new paper and mcdebitt gets
in there and shuts it down. After a two yard
game again third down and eight.
Speaker 5 (44:47):
Yeah, nice Jobbock fifty one Chris Thompson penetrating and Maurice
Barnes also on the hit. There been very active here early.
Speaker 4 (44:59):
Mcdebitt has been coaching around from man front, three man
front and five man front on different downs.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
Here, big opportunity to get off the loose. Yeah, de
Luicia back to pass fires, went out to the sideline
and this one I believe is going to be ruled
complete and it is that the forty one yard line.
Thought that was going to go sailing out of bounds,
but uh state in bounds just enough for his receiver
(45:25):
to come down with it at the forty two yard
line of Bison.
Speaker 5 (45:28):
Mcdebitt he had sixteen yards on that completion to Lucas
Ross's Tyler Reinhardt. Had good coverage but just timed to
jump a little jumped a little early and allowed Ross
to come down with the ball.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
So first and tenant to mcdebit, forty two new paper
will take it to the left side, and again McDevitt's
defense doing what it does to now. Penalty flag is
gonna come flying out late here on mcdebit after they
shut that one down.
Speaker 5 (45:56):
It ran right into the arms of R. J. Duffy,
who was waiting on him for no game, And I
think that's.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
It looked like it was going to be on Maurice Barnes,
and he was away from the play. He was really
on the other side, away from the play, and after
the whistle just kind of buried, uh, one of the
offensive linemen over there.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
Officials having a conference here before they make the call.
Speaker 4 (46:24):
And there are two flags. Did I see down there?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Yep, still talking things over here. We're down the ten
thirty six left to play first half. Mcdebit up fourteen
to nothing in this game against Peters Township. Now we're
going to get a signal here personal foul Bishop mcdebitt
(46:49):
and another person. Two personal fouls on mcdebit. I think
the Peters Township crowd might have created one of those calls.
Speaker 5 (46:59):
Just yeah, I mean, I have no idea how they're
calling two there, especially, like Marty said, whatever happened with
Barnes was away from the play. There was nothing going
on where the play was.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Yeah, I mean it's just a play where I mean
I could see one, but I don't see where the
second came from at all.
Speaker 5 (47:21):
And you kind of wonder if the Peters Township coaches
have been whining and complaining the whole first half, if
they're just giving them some makeup calls here, that.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
Would be my assessment. Ball will come all the way
down to the mcdebit thirteen yard line after the double
personal foul and mcdebitt's defense, which has really been solid
too far. The Peters Township Indians get thirty yards gifted
them from the officials here, and they will run this
(47:53):
one on the right side new Paper as he continues
to find a lot of resistance, just got about two
on that one.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
If when that pass play we talked about before that guys,
if they would have called him out of bounds on
that one, the entire fan of everybody on this side
would have been out on the field because it was
right on the sideline. Yes, it was in front of
the Peers Township bench.
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Two white outs to the near side new Paper in
the backfield. They fake the hand off to Lucia fires
one and it is almost intercepted and it's dropped in
the end zone as well by Shannafeld. For a second,
I felt the mcdebitt player was going to come down
with that one and then a dangerous pass there.
Speaker 5 (48:38):
I think de Lucia's first read. They have both the
tight ends there. He was looking for fourteen rest and
Layman to the left and Maurice Barnes was just all
over him. He didn't even let him get out of
get a release downfield at all.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
Yeah, mcdbit really had a great chance to come up
with that. The ball really just kind of floated there.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
Third and eight for the Indians to Lusiah back to pass.
Buyers went over the middle and a diving catch is
incomplete as they tried to hit Ross down the middle.
On almost had it but unable to come down with it.
Now they'll face a fourth down and eight.
Speaker 4 (49:13):
Great coverage with Tyler Reinhart really broke that up. The
ball was it was going to be completed, but Ryan
Hart without interfering to able to knock that away.
Speaker 3 (49:26):
That is a win for the mcdebit defense. After the
double personal foul, here's Maella onto attempted field goal attempt
and the kick is up and this one is going
to be good. So that is a twenty eight yard
field goal by Anthony Mayello and that cuts mcdebit's lead
to fourteen to three, will take a break nine to
(49:48):
forty five left to play first half. Crusader's up fourteen
to three over Peters Township. You're listening to Bishop mcdebit's
football here in Fox Sports fourteen sixteen and I Heart Radio.

The Blue and Gold play right here on Fox Sports
fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (50:41):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium. Here now
Tuna Bish mcdevid of fourteen to three over Peters Township.
Indians do convert on the twenty eight yard field. Go
by Anthony Maelo. But the Crusaders defense with their backs
to the wall after the thirty yards and penalties there,
they stop them defensively and hold them to the field.
And now we'll see m mcdebitt's special teams and then
(51:03):
offense probably after that kind of a weird formation as
they lined up to kick off here, debit kind of
bunched in here on special teams as well. Now they
back off, there's a debit worried about the on side
kick maybe there and here's my allows kick. It's a
(51:25):
short pooch punt. This one is going to be caught
at the thirty five yard line down there by Campbell Milch,
I believe.
Speaker 5 (51:32):
Yeah, it was Campbell, and you could see Patrick right
very frustrated because he was right behind Campbell, and Patrick
had designs on coming up catching that with a little
momentum and trying to make a return out of it,
where Campbell was just sort of making the safe play
catching it and coming down to his knees there.
Speaker 4 (51:49):
Yeah, I thought of why he was played there by Campbell.
But yeah, as you said, Patrick Bright, I'm sure just
support he was thinking about eight seconds later being Indianzo exactly.
Speaker 3 (52:00):
Were left to play. First half mcdebbit of fourteen to
three over Peters Township. Crusaders have it first and ten
from their ruin thirty five, they go right to left,
Sebastian back to pass. Fires won and this one is
caught by Johntay, I believe up at the forty seven
yard line.
Speaker 5 (52:15):
It looked like he was throwing for Howard Holton and
it was a little high and went over Howard's head.
But John Tay, where he was running his route, was
right there.
Speaker 3 (52:25):
Yeah. I was scared for a second because I, like
you said, I thought he was trying to hit the
first receiver there, and then John Tay was kind of
lying on the ground. Almost two were there and came
down with it. So first and ten vision mcdebitt. Two
white outs to the near side this time, no white
outs on the fore side. One back in the backfield
(52:45):
with Sebastian and they will run this one. The swoops
and swoops trying to push the power forward and getting
some help as the Crusaders do push the power forward
up to the forty eight yard line.
Speaker 4 (52:56):
They really got a lot of help there and as
you said, able to make that a really nice sizeable
five yard gain.
Speaker 5 (53:05):
Yeah, Peters township has been very strong at the point
of attack so far. There you saw fifty two Dorin
and zero Shanna Felt originally had that thing bottled up
before the second push.
Speaker 3 (53:17):
The second and five from the forty eight yard line
for Bishoon mcdebitt. And here is swoops again trying to
spin his way forward real close to that first down.
Didn't look like there was a lot there, but he
he made it real close.
Speaker 5 (53:32):
Now he's running hard as always. They have maybe a
half yard if that.
Speaker 4 (53:38):
It's just actually I think they're giving him the first down.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
Okay, they were going to move the chains.
Speaker 4 (53:43):
Fishal from this side was waving it on.
Speaker 3 (53:48):
Holton Junior to the far side. John tay quick to
the near side. Again, swoops in the backfield. They give
it to him up the middle, and again they pushed
the path forward and McDevitt imposing its will on Peter's
township here as they just get five by just shoving
it right up the middle there.
Speaker 5 (54:08):
Yeah, double tight end formation there with Liam Fuller and
Campbell Milch and you like you said, they went straight
ahead behind the middle of the line with Colbert Slover
and Logan and picked up another five yards.
Speaker 3 (54:22):

up fourteen and to three. They have a second down

Peters Township. But about the thirty eight yard line is
(54:45):
they stopped play here to work on him.
Speaker 5 (54:48):
Yeah, and he's laying right on his back art so
we can't get a number yet.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
It's like fifty seifty.
Speaker 5 (54:53):
Seven Brady O'Connor sixty five pounds for them.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
And he will have to limp his way over here
to the near side. Bish mcdebitt football is brought to

so vision mcdebitt moving the ball here now eight twelve
left to play. First they have they have a second
and five at the thirty eight yard lind and a
fourteen to three lead going right to left from the
press box side of things here at Mansion Park Stadium
in Altuna. Two wide outs to the far side, and
mcdebitt will run this one and this time Swoops goes
(55:50):
nowhere as they hit him in the backfield. A nice
defensive play that time by the Indians.
Speaker 5 (55:54):
Yeah, that was big number fourteen rest and Lehman sixty
headed the pitt next year and he absolutely just busted
in there with no resistance and hit Swoops for the
two yard loss.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
Liam Fuller is gonna check into the game for Bishop mcdebitt.
His Crusaders will come with two white outs on the
near side. That's Gage, Ruth and John take quick, one
white out on the far side, one back in the backfield.
On his third and seven from the forty Sebastian back
to pass, there comes a pressure fires one of the outside.
It's complete the gauge roof for a first down to
the thirty and he's holding that ball out to Harry
(56:31):
stretches it over to the thirty but it's a first down,
Bishop mcdebitt.
Speaker 5 (56:35):
Every time Gage gets the ball and starts to swing
out there with that one arm, it's just you have
the nightmare from the Harrisper game. Never want to see
that again.
Speaker 4 (56:43):
But that just came back because he was he was
doing that exactly, And yeah, they do need to talk
to him about not swinging that ball around like that.
Speaker 5 (56:52):
But a great throw they sent off the edge. Sebashian
had a little pressure. He stepped in in the corner.
Number one was playing off and Gage had plenty of room.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
He's got one back in the backfield this time. I
think that's LaRue in there now for Bishop mcdebitt back
to pass Sabash and plenty of time fires one again.
This is just a pitch and catch pass outside here
to John Tate quick to the twenty two yard line
that corner.
Speaker 5 (57:19):
Pilletti number one or you know you guys mentioned earlierbou
the size he's listed at five ten one fifty and
that's about all as big as he looks, and he's
playing off like seven or eight yards off. And that's
two plays in a row where Sebastian's taking advantage.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
Of that second and two from the twenty two Holton
junior out way out on the far side as a
wide out. So give this to Maurice Barnes. Maurice up
the middle. He's got the first down and more and
penalty flags come flying in here way after the play.
Speaker 4 (57:49):
Yeah, it's kind of like give figure three. Referees saw
the hold there.
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Like they saw it yesterday.
Speaker 5 (58:01):
Though we'll see here who it's on if they give
us the hold.
Speaker 3 (58:08):
Mcdebitt.
Speaker 5 (58:10):
They did not use the microphone that time, so we
don't know who it was on. Looks like he tried
to turn it on, but maybe I don't know. Nevertheless,
yet it's that'll put the ball back.
Speaker 3 (58:26):
The thirty two yard line is where the official takes it.
So clock stops here, six forty five left to play
here first half mcdebit at fourteen three.
Speaker 5 (58:38):
So the funny thing is, for all the complaining from
Peters Township, they have two penalties for thirty yards. Mcdebbit
has five penalties for sixty yards, So of course mcdebit
declined the one because they rolled the catch in complete.
But still you'd have thought it would be the reverse
with all what we've heard on this side of the field.
Speaker 4 (58:57):
Let's see if they slip Milch out here from the
tight end spot.
Speaker 3 (59:00):
It's second and twelve for mcdebit. Sebastian back to pass.
Here comes the pressure as time fires one of the
outside and this is intercepted at the twenty two yard line,
and thankfully for mcdebit, the player tripped and went down.
Was that new paver on the interview?
Speaker 5 (59:16):
It was newpaver undercut.
Speaker 4 (59:19):
That route.
Speaker 5 (59:21):
Was in perfect position. Don't know whether Sebastian just didn't
put enough one at there, Marty. He looked like he
had a receiver open, but new paper was coming underneath
I I I'm.
Speaker 4 (59:34):
Thinking maybe he just sort of looked at it long
enough that the defender was able to undercut that.
Speaker 3 (59:42):
They're going to take a time out, so let's take
one as well. With six fifteen left to go in
the first half, mcdebit leads fourteen to three. With six
fifteen left in the first half, you're listening to Bishop

Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
Now back to the field, all right, Welcome back to
Mansion Park Stadium here and now Tuna Art Sob, Marty Booman,
Rubb Glease. It is the five A State semifinal game
here between Vision mcdebit Peters Township costly holding penalty there
on Vision mcdebit packed him up a bit and then
Sebastian Williams through his the interception. Fortunately for mcdebitt, though
(01:00:57):
he went down right where a new paper picked it
off at the twenty two is that could have been
one where he took it to the house and totally
changed momentum of this game. The Crusader's defense comes back
onto the field and they've played well today, just holding
them to a field goal that was really set up
by two personal fouls on mcdebit on one play to
put them in field goal range. Two white outs to
(01:01:18):
the near side, one of the far for de Lusiah.
New Paper switches sides in the backfield and they will
hand this one off. The new Paper tries the near
side and mcdebit it's over there and does a nice
job shutting it down as he just picked up about three.
Speaker 5 (01:01:35):
Yeah, he was trying to get the edge around Maurice Barnes,
but Tyler Ryan Hart came up and made the stick
there and like you said, art for only a short game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
So second and seven for the Indians of Peters Township.
Speaker 4 (01:01:51):
Big turnover there, guys, mcdebitt possibly going in to go
up by eighteen and big, big play for Peterstown.
Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
Two white outs to the far side, one is the
near for the Indians. A lot of signaling in by
their coaching staff and looks like they're going to have
to take a time out after everything. So the situation
is five thirty left to play first to have Bishop
mcdebit's up fourteen to three on the fifty eight yard
(01:02:22):
touchdown pass from Sebastian Williams to Harold Holton Junior on
a third and twenty one half back in the first quarter,
and then Ish Palmer picked up a short punt and
took it to the house for a touchdown from around
twenty four yards I believe, put mcdebit up fourteen to nothing.
And then the Indians came back on a penalty field
(01:02:43):
drive to get in field goal arrange to make it
fourteen three. Mcdebit mersaders had a good drive going and
in holding penalty put them back a bit and they
throw an interception. The Indians have it now here though,
with five and a half minutes left to play first half,
and they have a second down and seven as they
go left to rate from the press box side of
things here mentioned parking. Now tuna teams come back onto
(01:03:07):
the field here. Now if the Indians with two white
outs to the near side, one to the far falls
at the twenty six DeLucia shot gun formation won back
to his left. Now they'll bring a man in motion
that's ross and finally they snap it. Delusia back to
pass fires one down the field here and this one
(01:03:30):
is incomplete. Looked like it was going to be caught
at the thirty five yard line and unable to hold
on was Peter Luke.
Speaker 5 (01:03:39):
Yeah, that's her leading receiver, Luke. And it was a
beautiful ball by DeLucia, just dropped it in under tight
coverage from Crumbell and Marty. I don't know if you
could see when he came to the ground if it
was Crumbell or Achielan Smith converging there who broke that
ball up?
Speaker 4 (01:03:54):
I was probably gonna ask you the same thing. They
were both there, so we'll give them both credit here.
They were both there, but they did they finished the
play out because if they hadn't finished, it would have
been in completion.
Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
It's third and seven to Lucia back to pass, rolls
to the far side. He's going to run at pump
fakes and he will be hit out of bounds right
at the mark or river on the far sideline, and yeah,
I think he got it though, Yeah, I think he
did get it. A nice play there by quarterback Nolan
de Lucia against the mcdebit defense, and the drive continues.
(01:04:32):
They give him the just shy the thirty four and
a player down for mcdebit in the secondary.
Speaker 4 (01:04:37):
It looks like I think it's a cramp the way
he went down real slowly. Actually he's able to get
up and get off. So no, he's got to go
back down because he's cramping up.
Speaker 5 (01:04:47):
Yeah, it's Jamison Cromwell, and it looks like she, he'd
Climent's going to come in and replace him.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):

back onto the field. It's first down and ten from
the thirty four yard line for Peter's Township, going left
to right. Peters Township in the red jerseys, gray pants
and white helmets. New paver goes in motion out of
the backfield in the past outside quickly is completed to
(01:05:37):
a Pilletti and Pilletti, I think they're going to roll
them out of bounds at the forty three yard line.
Speaker 4 (01:05:43):
Play able to drag it, killing Smith for a couple
extra yards to pick up eight on that play.
Speaker 3 (01:05:51):
So yeah, they spotted just shy of the forty three,
short the first down by about a yard and a half.
Big drive here, mcdebit up fourteen to three. They had
a shot that really opened it up. And through the interception,
one white out to each side of the field, and
(01:06:11):
they'll run this one to the near side, and mcdebitt
gets in there and limits the game. But it's they
only needed one. We'll see if they give it to him.
Speaker 4 (01:06:22):
RJ. Duffy gets behind him and they've now made it
a first down. So Duffy comes up from behind and
just kind of gives him a big hug and pulls
me back down to prevent any additional yardage, but enough
for the first down.
Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
It's a little generous with that first down in that
one there, but it has rolled a first down first
and ten from the forty four. Two white outs to
the near side, one to the far to Lucia waits
a snap back to pass. Here comes a pressure fires
one over the middle, and a great play defensively down
the field for vision mcdebit. A Smith knocks it down.
Speaker 4 (01:06:58):
Excellent play by a killing Smith not to go over
the back to use the left hand, did not put
the right hand on the hip, goes over with the
left hand and knocks it away. Beautiful defensive play.
Speaker 3 (01:07:10):
Can't do it any better.
Speaker 5 (01:07:11):
That'll make the secondary coach is quite happy, including a
Khielan's dad Archie.
Speaker 3 (01:07:19):
So it's second and ten from the forty four or
fourth few left to play in the first half. Here
playclock is down to ten. Two white outs to the
far side for the Indians. One to the near. They'll
bring a man in motion that's frosted from the fart
of the near to Lucia back to pass. There comes
the pressure. Fires went over the middle and this time
(01:07:39):
it is complete to Shanafelt the tight end and a
penalty flag comes flying in way late from downfield.
Speaker 5 (01:07:47):
Nice ball, nice coverage by Patrick right, but a better
pass to the big six foot four Shanafelt, And like
you said, are in a late flag after this. I
didn't really see. I don't think there was any inner
few appearance. I don't think there was unus it would
be a face mask. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
The official who threw the flag went in, picked up
and put it down exactly where the ball was caught,
so that that's where they're going to move the penalty from.
Speaker 5 (01:08:13):
But I didn't see a face mask at all, nor.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
And it was way down the field. Yeah, just looked
like a clean can.
Speaker 5 (01:08:22):
I can't even fathom what it could be, honestly, targeting.
I don't see any hint of that there. That's a
bizarre call.
Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Have we seen a targeting call a year?
Speaker 5 (01:08:38):
We saw one called against mcdebba in the harrisper game,
which was an absolute atrocious call, just like this one.
But yeah, I don't even know it would be on.
Speaker 3 (01:08:51):
So the ball is down to the nineteen or twenty
one yard line, first down and ten for Peters Township.
Deluciah waits the snap, fakes the handoff back to pass,
fires down the middle, and this is complete down to
the five yard line of Bishop mcdebit. Again to Shannafeld,
(01:09:14):
he's really becoming a factor in this game. It will
be first down and go Indians. After the initial complaining
from a lot of the fans in their coaching staff,
every call seems to be going there way.
Speaker 5 (01:09:25):
I think that was Ross that caught that ball. I
think it was two.
Speaker 3 (01:09:32):
It's going to be first and goal with the mcdebit
five yard line, three forty five left to play. First
tap mcdebit's lead fourteen to three, and now de Lusihah
is going to keep it himself and he goes nowhere
is on mcdebit. If a nice tackle there. I think
that was Tron Dennis.
Speaker 4 (01:09:51):
Toron Dennis able to pull you back. I think Ja
Kaile Logan had him on the front side and Dennis
setting won the bat, pulled him, pulled him down.
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
Clock takes down a three to fifteen left to play.
First half, mcdebitt leading fourteen to three. Play clock at
fifteen de Lucia with receivers on both sides of the field. Here,
one man goes in motion, they'll give this from the
new Paper turns the corner and walks into the end
zone for a touchdown and mcdeviitt's lead trim to fourteen
(01:10:29):
to nine with two fifty six left to play.
Speaker 5 (01:10:31):
Here in the first half, six yard run off the
edge there, Peters Township offensive line did a real nice
job on the right side, ceialing that edge and allowing
new Paper to scoot outside and into the end zone.
Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
So mcdebit's lead fourteen to nine, as they will come
on to attempt the extra point here and that's my
yellow kicks up and it is good. So mcdebit's lead
down to fourteen to ten, So big momentum change. Hears
the Crusaders were driving to possibly go up twenty one
(01:11:09):
to three. They get the penalty and then an interception
and then a good drive put together by the Indians
of Peter's township. They come down the field and finally
score five yards out his new Paver coll New Paver
scores and it's fourteen to ten. Mcdebit. Now a huge
drive here for mcdebit to answer. Plenty of time. You
(01:11:30):
got two fifty six left to play in the first
half and bishoon mcdebitt with all three timeouts left, is
they a will to get the ball here and an
opportunity to respond?
Speaker 4 (01:11:40):
Guys, We're gonna go back to something we talked about earlier.
And remember on Ish Palmer's touchdown and I was saying
how the coach was over here waving like he had
signaled for a fair catch. As I go back to that,
you had Ish Palmer, Robin your view right, But as
you go back to that that punt was so short,
(01:12:02):
there were a lot of guys probably waving people away, Yeah,
because you wouldn't know if you were on the return
team to that punt only went fifteen or twenty yards.
So as I look back on that, great point, the
coach might have saw guys waving. Yeah, but it wasn't
is Palmer or he was just trying to influence the
ref right, you know, but no, I would say that's
(01:12:25):
probably what happened.
Speaker 5 (01:12:27):
Now, good, great point, Marty. It'll be interesting to see
her if they go with another one of these pooch kicks.
Speaker 3 (01:12:31):
My yellow line's up, and that's exactly what they do.
It's a pooch kick and this one this time is
going to be taken by a walker. I believe he
turns on the right side for vision mcdebitt. He's got
the fifty still going and spun out of bounds around
the forty five yard line or Patrick Great, sorry about that.
Speaker 5 (01:12:47):
And that's what we saw last time that Patrick Wright
wanted to do. He was able to come up catch
the ball with a little moment I'm here right at
the thirty and make a nice return with some solid
blocking on the far side into Peterstown Ship territory guys
twenty twenty twenty eight yards by right and mcdebit with
a golden opportunity, like you said, with all three timeouts.
Speaker 4 (01:13:11):
Yeah, very close to being able to get the corner
totally turned and taking after the house.
Speaker 3 (01:13:17):
Ruth and John Tay quick the wideouts on the near
side for Bishop mcdebit. So hand this one off to
Swoops and Swoops up the middle thirty twenty five twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
Fifteen ten five touch down on Bishop mcdiitt.
Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
And that's how you answer it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:29):
Crusaders go up twenty to ten with two forty five
left to play in the first half.
Speaker 5 (01:13:35):
Just a hat on the hat and there the mcdebit
offensive line, after kind of losing the edge a little
bit in that last drive, just blew off the ball
the defensive front and they went right up the gut.
Great job by that line, Micktitch, Colbert Slover, Logan and
Andre Mana leading away and Swoops just shot through there
(01:13:58):
and then was untouched.
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
You have it up twenty to ten. Grella Ono tempt
the extra point, Ryan Hart the holder. The kick is
up and the kick is good. So Bishop mcdebitt. That
is how the answer. A good kickoff return there and
then swoops with the touchdown run forty two yards and
the Crusaders are up twenty one to ten with two
(01:14:20):
forty five left to play here in the first half.
And again, as we mentioned Patrick Wright with that great
kickoff return for mcdebitt to put him in great field
position on the short kickoff, and now really big here,
two forty five left to play in the half and
mcdebitt's defense, you could get a quick stop and get
the ball back, might be able to open this up
(01:14:42):
a little bit. Guys, defense has done a nice job
here for Bisho and mcdebitt. Just some costly penalties here
on mcdebitt. Crusaders will kick off going right to left
from the press box side of things. Here a Mansion
Park Stadium and now Tuna, the sun goes behind the
(01:15:04):
clouds a little bit here now as we get into
the later portionately afternoon, here is a we're about ready
to kick off here, Grella back at his thirty one
yard line getting ready, two men back deep for Peter's township,
and we're about ready to row here, and Grella's kicked
(01:15:27):
this one is deep and this one will sail into
the end zone for a touchback. It's about three or
four yards into the end zone. And another, as we
keep saying it every week, a big weapon they're having
Aiden Grella back. They're kicking touchbacks for vision. Mcdebitt.
Speaker 5 (01:15:41):
Yeah, particular, like you said when they just answered. And
now you're looking to kind of close the door here
a little bit, because let's remember, mcdebitt, we'll get the
ball to start the second half, so obviously your defense
can shut things down.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Here.
Speaker 5 (01:15:56):
You go in the halftime with an eleven point lead
and you're getting the ball. You've really got to feel
pretty good about it.
Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
Ed you feel even better if you could get a
stop here and get some points before you have time,
right two three times.
Speaker 5 (01:16:08):
Yeah, we should mention in the other game, midway through
the second quarter, uh Roman Catholic leading big over Springfield
Delco twenty eight to seven.
Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
All right, So here de Lucia with the ball, first
down and ten. Here comes a pressure from mcdebit. DeLucia
rolling out to the near side, fires one and this
one is almost in almost picked off, and I think
it's incomplete.
Speaker 5 (01:16:35):
It was unbelievable effort from Campbell Milt to the linebacker
flying in there, reading that perfectly and getting both of
his hands on the ball as he as he flew
right out of bounds.
Speaker 4 (01:16:46):
Yeah, it came from the middle of the field, and
you know was able to break that up.
Speaker 3 (01:16:52):
Second and ten for the Indians of Peters Township back
at their own twenty two thirty eight left to play.
First half MC debit of twenty one ten. They'll bring
a man in motion that's rossed from the far side
to the near to Lucia back to pass. Here comes
the pressure again, pump fakes and it's gonna be sucked
back at the eight yard line.
Speaker 5 (01:17:12):
Zach Brown coming off the top of the formation, coming free.
He had a big game last week with eight tackles
and one and a half TFLs. And there Zach gets
his sixth sack of the year and mcdebitt's gonna take
a time out.
Speaker 3 (01:17:26):
Yeah, this is what we're talking about. Two twenty left
to play, and it's third and long.
Speaker 4 (01:17:30):
Had Tron Dennis coming from the left side and Zack
Brown and that pump fake really cost him. And when
he came off of that pump fake, Zach Brown just
buried him.
Speaker 3 (01:17:43):
So we have two twenty left to play. First tap
mcdebit of twenty one to ten and a third down
and nineteen being faced by the Peters Township Indians way
back deep in their own territory. And as we mentioned,
mcdebitt with two timeouts left after this one, Crusaders, if
they can get the stop here, great opportunity to go
(01:18:03):
up by even more. And then Rob had mentioned we'll
get the ball to start the third quarter here.
Speaker 5 (01:18:10):
So we talked about maybe expecting kind of a defensive game,
and in a lot of ways, even though it is
twenty one ten, it really has been because mcdebitt, you know,
got the twenty seven yard punt return to give them
seven points. Peters on their field goal drive really didn't
you know, They got a couple first downs, but then
the thirty yards of penalties is what gave them the
(01:18:32):
field goal. So total yardage right now, as I look
down real quickly, real quick addition, here mcdebit with one
hundred and fifty nine yards and Peter's Township with one
hundred and six.
Speaker 4 (01:18:46):
Again to take mcdebit's a fifty eight yard touchdown pass,
isn't it yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
Third and nineteen. We're ready to play again here Delusia
with two white outs to the first. I had one
of the near as pressure Delusia over the middle and
this one is income complete. Had his man Peter Luke
up at around to thirty, but it was just too
far high and incomplete. So now mcdebit's going to get
it back here as it's fourth down to nineteen for
the Indians.
Speaker 4 (01:19:13):
Was that Carlos Smith.
Speaker 5 (01:19:15):
It was Carlow Smith on the that fell down.
Speaker 4 (01:19:17):
Yep, very fortunate for mcdebit because Carlos Smith Smith had
slipped and fallen down and there was nobody left.
Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
Ish Palmer excited to receive this punt and another one
that will bounce at the forty two yard line takes
a little bit of a Peters Township role, still rolling
and finally it'll roll dead at the forty six yard line.
So effective punt gets a big roll out of that
one for the Indians. But Bisha mcdebitt's going to have
(01:19:46):
the ball with great field position two oh one left
to play first half in a twenty one to ten
lead spot that at the forty six yard line of
Bishop mcdebit after all is said and done. Now this
mcdeb an offense, we'll come back onto the field. Last
time they added swoops with a long touchdown run laz
(01:20:08):
here Jonas Davis about forty two yards to put mcdevid
up twenty one to ten.
Speaker 5 (01:20:11):
We're gonnaee Maurice Barnes for the first time here in
the tailback spot.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
Going in motion is LaRue. They have in there and
they give it to him and it does not work
out as LaRue has spun down for a loss back
to the forty four yard line.
Speaker 4 (01:20:26):
It wasn't there. There was never a haul in. LaRue
tried to bounce it outside and when he did it
cost him another three yards.
Speaker 5 (01:20:35):
Yeah, it was Gabe keat to number fifty. We mentioned
him earlier. He had a sack earlier, coming into the game,
leads them with tackles for loss and there he got
one second and twelve. So mcdevin gonna let this clock
run here, and I think we'll wait until they can
pick up a first down guys before they use another
(01:20:55):
time out, because you don't want to leave Peters with
too much time.
Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
Two wide outs to the far side one or two
to the near for Bishoon mcdebit actually Sebastian back to
pass fires one outside. He's got Gage Roof close to
a first down down to about the forty five yard line,
and mcdebitt will take the time out now with a
(01:21:20):
minute two left to play. So a third down and
two and they still have a minute two to work with. Here.
You think maybe you'll see a run by swoops here
maybe and see what they can come up with here,
bishoon mcdebit. Football is brought to you by Tim Decker

(01:22:05):
to an art selby Ropiglice and Marty Bowman. Mcdebitt has
a third down and two at the forty six yard
line going right to left. Crusaders with one time out
left Peters Township has two and make sure you pick
up the first down here is mcdebitt will bring Swoops
into the game, and I five were a bett man,
I'd say Swoops is going to get the.
Speaker 5 (01:22:26):
Ball here, either that or an RPO where Sebastian has
the option.
Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
Swoops lines up to the right of Sebastian Williams. John
Tay quick goes in motion from the near side to
the far and they will pass it. Quick pass to
the outside is incomplete as they tried to hit. Believe
that was John Tay out there. And now mcdebitt, not
wanting to risk anything crazy happening here, I think they
(01:22:56):
will just elect to punt this away.
Speaker 5 (01:22:58):
Yeah, with getting the ball person in the second half, Yeah,
obviously did you not want to give them the ball
near midfield? Unfortunate thing as that play was there, John
Tay was open for an easy first down.
Speaker 3 (01:23:13):
Grella's standing back at his forty one yard line, one
man back deep for the Indians, fifty eight seconds left
to play, still in his first half, and the snap
is high, but Grella does get off a booming punt.
This will be caught at the eight yard line and
they will run this one back and mcdebitt's special teams
coverage gets down there and stops some shy of the
(01:23:34):
twenty yard line. Look like Creighton Milch with the tackle
for Bishop mcdebitt.
Speaker 5 (01:23:39):
Crateon Milch and also the long snapper David Smith getting
involved there.
Speaker 4 (01:23:43):
And keep in mind Peters Township with two timeouts left,
and they have a chance to take some shots downfield.
Speaker 3 (01:23:50):
Forty six seconds left to play, and a half ball
is spotted right at the twenty and now the Indians
will go left to right here from the home side
of things here at Mansion Park Stadium in Altuna. They
come with one white out to each side of the field,
Pelleti on one side, Luke on the other. De Lucia
(01:24:13):
fires one quickly to the outside out here to number
three Luke and he catches it and apparently Staton bounds.
As the clock continues to run. Here, we're down to
thirty two seconds left to play in the first half,
one white out to each side of the field and
second and four from the twenty sixth and De Lucia
(01:24:33):
will just hand this one off the new paper and
McDevitt shuts that thing down immediately.
Speaker 5 (01:24:39):
Yeah, Chris Thompson, number fifty one just pulled them back
and also allowed to Ron Dennis to get involved on
the play. So they're almost kind of waving the white
flag here.
Speaker 3 (01:24:51):
Clock ticks down the five seconds left to play and
that will end the first half of play. So in
this State five a State Final four playoff game here,
Bishop mcdebit up twenty one to ten over Peters Township
Crusaders will get the ball to start the third quarter.
And as we know last week, Peter's Township rallied from
a nineteen to nothing deficit. So far from over, but
(01:25:14):
Bishop mcdebit's still feeling pretty good about this first half.
We'll take a break. We'll have our halftime show coming
up next. You're listening to Bishop mcdebit football here in

Field, Hira, Welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium. Here and
now Tuna art selby Rob Eglise Marty Bowman JC back
in the studio is hur at the half in this
five A state semi final game between Bishop mcdebit Peters
Township Crusaders. Up twenty one to ten here at the half.
Just a quick scoring recap here for you. Two to
(01:29:17):
ten left to play. In the first quarter, mcdebit had
a third down and twenty one and Sebastian Williams hit
Holton Junior for a fifty eight yard touchdown pass put
Bishop mcdebit up seven to nothing. After one quarter of play,
Crusaders again would score, this time on a short punt
by the Indians. This Palmer would pick it up and
take it to the house and put the Crusaders up
(01:29:38):
fourteen to nothing. Then the Indians would move the ball
down the field two costly fifteen yard penalties on one
play on Bishop mcdebit personal fouls would move the ball
down into the red zone and Mayellow would connect on
a twenty eight yard field goal to make it fourteen three.
Bishop mcdebitt Crusaders would drive down the field again but
throw an interception around the red zone and then this
(01:30:01):
time the Indians would come down and score on a
new paper five yard touchdown run. They make it fourteen
to ten mcdebbit with two fifty six left to play
in a half. You felt like the momentum might be
swinging a bit, but the punt or the kickoff return
by Bishop mcdebit by Patrick Wright gave the Crusaders great
field position at the forty two yard line, and on
the next play Nazier Jones Davis took it to the
(01:30:23):
house to put mcdebit up twenty one to ten with
two forty five left to play in the half. And
now that's what the score is at the half. Here
artzelby joined by Rob mcgleese and the man Eric Eppler
in the booth here with us Eric, just your thoughts
on the first half. Bishop mcdebit really able to insert
their will bit in the first half with Nazir Jones
(01:30:44):
Davis in the running game.
Speaker 5 (01:30:45):
Yeah, I mean the.
Speaker 14 (01:30:46):
Statistics are not, you know, fabulous and all that, but
I mean, when you come into this part of the
season late November early December, obviously everything goes about you
basically setting things up with a run game. That's sort
of the mo for mcdebbit. I know you know, we've
gone through the Stone Saunders years where it's it seems
(01:31:06):
like it's a wide open offense, but really everything comes
down to ken They establish the run and then things
open up in the passing game. I thought Sebastian Williams
had a terrific first half. Yeah, he once one throwback
that kind of ruined a developing drive there deep in
PT territory. But you know, seven to ten, I think
he's looking good. They're trying to sort of marginalize and
(01:31:27):
protect possession a little bit. I think, I think mcdevit's
been a little bit close to the vest. But again,
although it's an unlikely weather situation here in Altoona, typically
you don't come in and throw the ball crazy around
here at this time of year, but that's really what
it's become. And I thought especially did a really good
job in the first half. Obviously, hitting that home run
(01:31:50):
early was a big momentum shifter and kind of gathered
mcdebit and of course the TD run by in his ear,
you know, to counter the PT when they got within
fourteen ten and then boom, you know, eleven seconds later
you get a forty two yard TD run by Jones Davis,
which was which was monumental. I think it's played out
as we sort of expected a little bit. I mean,
(01:32:11):
I think maybe we thought called new Paper, the stud
running back for the Indians, would have a little bit more.
Speaker 3 (01:32:22):
Yeah, they've made a lot of good running backs look
really average. The new Paper had that five yard run,
but besides Ad mcdevid's defense has really slowed him down absolutely.
Speaker 9 (01:32:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:32:30):
The TV run was six yards long, and I believe
that was as long as run.
Speaker 3 (01:32:36):
Eric.
Speaker 5 (01:32:36):
I wanted to ask you. I heard you and Dan
Sastech this week on the High School Football podcast that
you guys do a great job with every week talk
about Sebastian Williams and how in the recent weeks as
mcdevid has really come together as a team and is peaking,
one aspect of that has been kind of loosening the
reins a little bit. At the same time as John
(01:32:57):
tay Quick has gotten healthy, as Howard Holton's now later
in his sophomore year, is growing in his gauge. Ruth,
that's Hall senior target a lot of weapons. It's Sebastian's
disposal And there you saw Howard Holton's unior was the
guy made the big play in the first half. Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:33:13):
Yeah, Holton's junior has been really, really good. And again
I think I think a lot of those pass plays
and and and sort of you know, big receptions by
these wideouts would have been there multiple times during the
season too. But but you know, you don't want to
you don't want to sort of force, you know, to
give some Okay, let's just go wide open one day
because we know we have the winning hand.
Speaker 5 (01:33:34):
Things like that.
Speaker 14 (01:33:35):
You still want to have a purpose and not for nothing.
But you know, there's a lot of games mc devin plays.
You don't want to show everything either, you know. And
I think coach weck has has has really kept it
close and and just said, listen, we got two or
really good running backs. You know, as long as we
get those established, our defense has been tremendous. It's to me,
(01:33:56):
it's been the hallmark of this of this football team.
I know that has always in the case in years past.
We've been sort of spoiled watching that sort of wide
open offense. But you know, Johntay Quick, who's been banged
up here and there, really hasn't had a consistent stretch
to play, to play multiple games in a row. You know,
he's a thousand yard receiver coming in from last year,
(01:34:17):
and you know, so the numbers don't look magical, you
know for the receivers, but they're all really good route
runners and they really and they do.
Speaker 5 (01:34:25):
Catch the ball.
Speaker 14 (01:34:26):
I don't see I've covered mcdebbit maybe five six times
this year. I've seen them. I've seen a lot of
film on them. I don't remember a drop. I haven't
seen the drops. So when you have guys like that,
I mean, you know, you can really go wide open
if you wanted to, but mcdevin hasn't had to do that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
Eric, you've been around here in these parts for a
long time. Coach Wector getting win number three hundred last week.
Just your thoughts on that.
Speaker 14 (01:34:49):
I just you know, he's been so successful because I
think he's been able to find ways to distribute the ball.
You know, there's a lot of talent. Mcdevin's had a
tremendous amount of talent. It is twenty seven, twenty eight
years now, twenty eight years that he's been here, and
you know, it could be very easy for guys to say, hey, listen,
I'm out of here. I'm not getting the ball this
(01:35:10):
and that, but you don't hear that, you know that
he makes a priority guys in practice, I think all
the guys buying quickly because I think he's genuine in
his sort of attack. And I think he's upfront with
guys too, say listen, this is the role we need
you to play. You're not gonna go out and catch
ten passes a game. And some of these guys are
now playing in the FBS, you know, and playing major
(01:35:32):
college football. And then there's other guys that just absolutely
stand out and you understand getting a guy like Rica
Scott the ball, you know, and and other players of
that caliber. So I think he's done a really good job.
And I think defensively it's been he runs a defense.
I think it's a lot of fun to play. I
(01:35:52):
think there's a lot of opportunity for guys to stunt.
There's a lot of opportunity for guys to mix in.
I don't see a set for defensive guys up front.
I see a mix of guys, guys flowing in and out.
And I think all those things when you when you
bundle all those things together, a lot of kids get
involved every week and they see action, and I think
(01:36:13):
when you play for a coach like that, it's it
keeps things fresh, it's an exciting brand of football. You've
got a great supporting cast. Obviously, he's got a lot
of guys across there with a lot of big time experience,
and the fact that they stick around says a lot.
Speaker 5 (01:36:27):
About coach Weck. So I'm very happy for him.
Speaker 14 (01:36:30):
I know he's kidd him about his time at at
Lebanon Catholic, you know, which was a single a school,
and you know, he doesn't even know how many losses
he had there. He's just like, hey, listen, I got
fourteen wins and whatever. How many years it was six
or seven years. So yeah, but he's been tremendous and certainly,
you know, he's a Hall of Fame got coach for
a reason.
Speaker 5 (01:36:51):
You know, Eric, he probably told you the same thing
he told me one time, which is the fourteen wins
at eleven and Catholic were more difficult than winning a
state championship. Yeah. I think I believe that, Yeah, for sure.
Just one more quick thing about this year's team, since
you've covered this journey from summertime on and you saw
them against Clarkson North and Harrisburg and all that. You know,
(01:37:15):
the challenge that that entailed that August game against those
two defenses, Aiden mctitch and Andrey Maine, a two brand
new offensive tackles. You've seen them now progress through the season,
and what have you seen from this offensive line? Those
are the bookends. But you know Slover, Chikai, Logan Land
and Colbert their their story has been obviously a huge
(01:37:36):
part of this story.
Speaker 14 (01:37:37):
I've been a very a big ch Kai Logan UH
fan for a while. I try to I try to
mix Uh Logan, I try to mix Chris Thompson in
every single preview because I think those guys have been
sort of the benchmarks of those guys up front both
sides in the line scrip right as well.
Speaker 5 (01:37:54):
UH.
Speaker 14 (01:37:55):
And Slover's been terrific too. He's obviously the anchor UH
in the middle. And it's just you know, when you
see the kind of push that these guys get and
and they're not the big this is not the biggest
offensive line mcdebit has had.
Speaker 5 (01:38:08):
UH. So you've got to use leverage.
Speaker 14 (01:38:09):
And they all do it very very well, and all
of them that I've seen too, I think this is
why mcdebitt is you know, on the verge of potentially
playing for another you know, back to back state title
is the fact that they really play well together. They
really understand their their assignments. They don't deviate.
Speaker 5 (01:38:30):
Uh.
Speaker 14 (01:38:30):
You know, Thompson might not have a tremendous amount of tackles,
but man, he eats so much space up that that
freeze up guys like Duffy, frees up guys like.
Speaker 5 (01:38:37):
Barns and obviously too.
Speaker 14 (01:38:39):
It allows your defensive ends to kind of get a
little bit more aggressive and because you know that inside
is walled off, those two guys have been tremendous. Logan
and Thompson to me, have been been sort of the
heart and soul of his football team. They never they
don't get a lot of credit obviously when you're when
you're a grunt, you don't get you don't get you know,
if you don't score the touchdowns, you don't get a
ton of credit. But I do try to single them
(01:39:00):
out in a lot of ways because they've been tremendous.
But to your point, Rob, you know, you know as
well as I do, if you don't have two really
good offensive tackles, maybe three or four, you're not playing
late November.
Speaker 3 (01:39:15):
Obviously a doubleheader here. Harrisburg Cougar is playing here done
eight at seven o'clock. Just some quick thoughts on that game.
Speaker 14 (01:39:21):
I think it's gonna be a tremendous game. Last year
was tremendous. Harrisburg kind of kind of shot themselves in
a foot early, fell way behind, came all the way
back and had a chance to win it late. Pittsburgh
Central Catholic obviously is going to be the biggest line
that they that Harrisburg has seen. But again, it's almost
like it's almost like mcdebit. It was almost like Twin
(01:39:41):
Valley last night against Aliquippa. They're used to that, they're
used to that, and there's just an attitude there at
Harrisburg that they're invincible, and I really believe that's gonna
carry over here. The weather is supposed to be really,
really different than what it is now. I told Rob
it looks like palm desert out the out I can't
(01:40:01):
figure it out. But the win's gonna blow, you know,
thirty plus, it's gonna be you know, low twenties, maybe teams.
So but that that goes right into what we've talked
about mcdebit's defense, Harrisburg defense. They're gonna have to win
this football game, you know, and they're okay with that.
They're okay with that. Central Catholics tremendously talented. Obviously, Roma
(01:40:23):
Thompson is a guy that I really really like watch playing.
Colson Gatton on the other side too, It's gonna play
linebacker at Duke next year. So they have They just
have a tremendous amount of talent. And the whipp Bill
always plays with that edge, you know that.
Speaker 3 (01:40:38):
Yeah, all right, Eric, thanks for stopping by. Mcdebit. That
ready to take the field here to do the warm
up trails for the third quarter. Crusader's up twenty one
to ten. Here in this five A states I'm on

Speaker 1 (01:44:24):
The twenty twenty four five Day State Shams play right
here on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (01:44:33):
All right, welcome back to Mansion Park Stadium here and
now Tuna art selby Marty Bowman Roubb who lease want
to thank Eric Kappler for the halftime interview here and
we are just about ready for third quarter action. Fish
mcdebad up twenty one to ten of for Peters Township.
Crusaders will get the ball to start the third quarter here.
Peters Township, as you mentioned, in their red jerseys, gray
(01:44:54):
pants with the red and black stripes and the white helmets.
Fish mcdebit today with the wait as the sun has
gone down behind the clouds here now at Mansion Park Stadium,
and things will cool off now get chillier here as
we move deeper into the afternoon. Here vision mcdebitt up
(01:45:18):
twenty one to ten. Of course, as we've mentioned many times,
Peters Township trailed Pine Richland nineteen nothing last week and
came back to win twenty to nineteen, so mcdebitt would
be well advised to get off to a great start
here in the third quarter. Peters Township bunches up before
they kick off. Mcdebitt does the same, and then they
(01:45:38):
eventually spread out. Peters Township has continued to do pooch
kicks all afternoon. Patrick Wright had a big return last
time for Bishop mcdebitt. We'll see if they kick it
over in that area again. He's standing back at his
twenty five yard line watching intently to see where they
kick this one. And this time they kick it towards
the opposite side of the fee and Bishop mcdebitt will
(01:46:02):
take that one over to around the thirty four yard line,
trying to see who that was run.
Speaker 4 (01:46:06):
And there's gonna be a pretty certain they're going to
call that a block in the back. The way the
flag flew in and from where it came in.
Speaker 5 (01:46:14):
I think it's Brandon Doling that caught the short kickoff
number six, the senior.
Speaker 3 (01:46:22):
And I didn't even see the flag, Marty, Yeah, it
flew in there.
Speaker 4 (01:46:26):
Yeah, it's going against mcdebit. Block in the back one
of the mcdebit players. As I saw the flag, I
saw his hands go up like I didn't do it
type of deal, you know, trying to avoid the call.
And uh yeah, it was kind of simultaneous.
Speaker 5 (01:46:43):
And so uh.
Speaker 4 (01:46:46):
At the seven battle for twenty five yards, Yeah, not
how you want to start the half off.
Speaker 3 (01:46:51):
But balls at the twenty five yard line. Crusaders go
right to left from the home side of things here
at Mansion Park Stadium in now Tuna, single Coveragejoe here
and how or one wide out to each side of
the field to Bastian Now as swoops breaks one up
the middle of penalty flag comes flying in and Swoops
is tackled from behind at the forty eight yard line.
(01:47:13):
And let's hope this isn't how the second half goes
where it becomes flag happy.
Speaker 5 (01:47:17):
Yeah, that would have been a twenty eight yard run
right up the middle.
Speaker 4 (01:47:21):
Well, the ref went ahead and signaled for the uh
chain gag to take it downfield.
Speaker 5 (01:47:30):
Yeah, this is another situation like last week where the
officials aren't even communicating with one another. Now they're communicating
late and it's clear one. No one really knows what
this is here.
Speaker 4 (01:47:46):
Yeah, the flags that were here in the twenty one yard.
Speaker 5 (01:47:47):
Line way over on our side of the field, and
the guy called.
Speaker 3 (01:47:52):
Against McDevitt after all that.
Speaker 4 (01:47:54):
Yeah yeah, I mean the flag came out as soon
as the snap went So that's why I didn't get
to excited on the when I saw Swoops break into
the clear because I kind of thought it was coming back.
Speaker 3 (01:48:08):
Two plays, two penalties on mcdeviit.
Speaker 5 (01:48:10):
Eight penalties for ninety and Peter's township has two penalties
for thirty. They were on the same play, and the
only other penalty they've called on him in the game
was the one that McDevitt declined on the Uh.
Speaker 4 (01:48:23):
Yeah, they have to eliminate these pre snaps. I mean
there's a big play that just as nullified.
Speaker 3 (01:48:31):
First and fifteen. Mcdebitt. Don't go away from it. Swoops
goes up the middle and he'll get a couple. We'll
have a second down and thirteen for Bision. Mcdebitt. So
eleven sixteen left to play. Third quarter, just getting started
(01:48:52):
in the second half. Mcdebitt now facing a second down
and thirteen after the penalties.
Speaker 4 (01:48:59):
Here, look for Township to bring some bodies on this one.
Speaker 3 (01:49:05):
One white out to each side of the field for mcdebit.
Sebastian will hand this one off to Swoops again and
again Township slows it down after about a two yard game.
Speaker 5 (01:49:19):
Number thirty three, the middle linebacker Spratt, who we'd said
had the huge game against Pine Richland. He's made the
last two tackles on Swoops there.
Speaker 4 (01:49:31):
Spread to a nice job there, Rob because he had
kind of overrun the play and was behind it and
he recovered quickly and Swoops just couldn't get that first step.
Planet and take off.
Speaker 3 (01:49:42):
Two white outs to the near side for Bision. Mcdebit.
One of the far Sebastian back to pass. Here comes
a pressure fires went over the middle. Gage Ruth has
it for a first down up to the forty three
yard line and they try and strip the ball out
of there, but they can and Bishop mcdebitt with a
big first down.
Speaker 5 (01:50:00):
Beautiful throw by Sebastian Williams. Great job by the O
line and there's Gage Ruth running that route in the
middle of the field, Marty. We've seen him run it
so many times, the slant the post route and Sebastian
delivered the ball on time, on the money in twenty
yards with pressure.
Speaker 4 (01:50:17):
Absolutely was gonna get nailed on that one, and he
just drilled.
Speaker 3 (01:50:21):
It in there. Crusader's ever come the big penalty festival
to start the second half there and get the first down.
Two white outs to the near side, one to the
far They will run this one to the near side
and nothing there. Actually, LaRue Junior does a nice job
to push forward and get about one or two out
of it.
Speaker 5 (01:50:40):
Yeah, LaRue Jr. Was hit immediately by Shanna felt the
d end right behind the line and he, like you said,
he pushed forward for almost two yards.
Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
So he's second and nine for vision mcdebit ball just
shy out of the forty four yard line. Crusaders go
right to left, Holton Junior to the far side, John
Tay Quick and Gage Ruth on the near side. Nine
to eight left to play third quarter, mcdebit up twenty
one to ten. Sebastian waits a snap, He's going to
run it himself. Think he was gonna throw it, kept it,
(01:51:17):
tried to run it up the middle and gets nothing.
It's third and nine. Mcdebit.
Speaker 5 (01:51:21):
It was an RPO and he saw something for a minute,
but he pulled it down and like you said, was
gonna take off. But again that guy thirty three sprat
that we've called out a few times with some help
from number six Jackson Hardcastle. So that actually will go
in the books as a as a third sack. So
(01:51:43):
he lost about almost a yard.
Speaker 3 (01:51:47):
So it's third and ten for mcdebitt. Balls at the
forty three yard line. Two white outs to the far side,
one to the near. Sebastian back to pass as time
fires one.
Speaker 4 (01:51:57):
And this is off.
Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
The fingertips of holding Junior up and around the forty
three yard line had him open, just off a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:52:05):
Yeah, just unable to bring that down. Tough one there
for mcdeback because had the first down, they got what
they wanted and sass're just a little high, a little
wide on that one and holding not able to secure
it and bring it in.
Speaker 5 (01:52:20):
Yeah, and I want to give Aiden Miktitch, even though
they didn't complete the ball there, just a great job
past protecting. He's up one on one on Lucas Shanafeld
and just totally stoned him there on that last or
a lot of play.
Speaker 3 (01:52:33):
Grilla gets the punt off. It's a nice punt that
bounces at the twenty six, takes a mcdeva row inside
the twenty still rolling, and finally down at about the
fourteen yard line. So a nice punt there by Grella.
That's about forty three yards I believe on the punt.
Speaker 5 (01:52:52):
So they chewed up almost four minutes of the clock there, guys,
which is a win when you're up twenty one to
ten and your defense has great field position here.
Speaker 4 (01:53:02):
Yeah, Peters Township did send a message I think early
on there that you know, if Big Debbit was thinking
about coming out here and just re establishing the running
game and running some time off that you know that
they are ready for that. They've really none of the
runs by mcdebit were able to even get started.
Speaker 3 (01:53:23):
First and ten for Peters Township back at their fourteen
yard line. DeLucia, we'll keep it himself, comes to the
near side, breaks out down the field and he will
be tackled out of bounds at around the forty two
yard line. Don't see any laundry on the field. And
a nice run there by de Lusia.
Speaker 5 (01:53:43):
Yeah, it was his own Reid play there where he
put the ball in new papers, belly flowing to the
right and just kept it turned back up to the left,
and nice job sealing the edge and pick up a
twenty eight yards actually looks like almost twenty nine there.
Speaker 4 (01:54:00):
Kind of waited to you have been waiting to see,
you know, when he was gonna cut loose and start
running the ball a little bit.
Speaker 3 (01:54:08):
The Lucia shotunformation won back to his left. They bring
a man in motion, that's Watson, and they will hand
this one off up the middle and mcdebitt swarms in
there and knocks him down for no gain. That was
new paper on the run.
Speaker 5 (01:54:25):
New paper swallowed up by big Chris Thompson. Nothing doing there.
Speaker 3 (01:54:33):
Clock continues to run seven and a half minutes left
to play third quarter. Mcdebit up twenty one to ten. Here,
second and ten for the Indians of Peters Township. Two
white outs to the near side, one to the far.
De Lusiah tries to get mcdeviit to jump and they
don't line back up in the shotgunformation. New power to
(01:54:57):
his right. Here comes the pressure and he he's got
to be sacked back at the thirty four yard line.
And I think that was number forty two for mcdebit
as Dawson on the play, So it was Jack Dawson.
Speaker 5 (01:55:09):
Like you said, they brought a lot of pressure there,
and Dawson, a guy who's fills a lot of roles
for this football team on both sides as a blocking
back and as one of those guys rotates in, makes
a big play there loss of almost ten nineteen.
Speaker 4 (01:55:24):
Pekers Township is definitely finding out each play pre snap
where Maurice Barnes is and making sure they account for
him and that time that that allows somebody else to
free up. At that time, it was Jack Dawson.
Speaker 3 (01:55:41):
Third nineteen for the Indians. De lusiah back to pass,
pressure comes again and he sacked again back at the
twenty four yard line, and I think that was Milch
for Bishop mcdebit on the sack.
Speaker 5 (01:55:51):
Guys, it was the younger brother, the sophomore, Creighton Milch,
six foot two hundred and five. He rotates in and
gets a lot of snaps of d tackle and he
just beat his man, beat the guard, busted in there
and another big nine yard loss.
Speaker 4 (01:56:05):
Showed some speed, yes he did, and really did, and
able to get the lucia before he was able to
get outside and do any kind of damage.
Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
Leeman gets this one away and ish Palmer does call
for a fair catch this time and makes it at
about the forty three yard line. So Bishop mcdebit's defense
does the job, gets it back to the offense. Crusaders
with great field position with five forty eight left to
play and the third and a great opportunity to maybe
eat up some clock and put some more points on
(01:56:34):
the board. Bishop mcdeviit Football brought to you by Tim

Speaker 4 (01:57:00):
The officials taking a time out here, So, Rob, do
you think maybe we see Isha Palmer get a little
active in the offense here?
Speaker 5 (01:57:12):
I mean it's always there. He's always part of that
game plan from the slot where they'll bring him and
either run a jet or the jet pass, and we
shall see. But I wouldn't be surprised.
Speaker 3 (01:57:27):
Still be interested to see if mcdebit takes a deep
shot at some point to gauge Roof down the field
here with the height advantage and see if that or
if coach Wector just wants to try and get this
running game rolling here with the great field position and
trying to really get swoops to take over this game
behind that offensive line. Lots of options for Bishop mcdebitt
(01:57:51):
with the great field position at the forty four yard
line and five forty eight left to play, and the
third Mersaders come out into the field and they're white
jerseys with a old numbers, white pants, the blue and
gold trim and the gold helmets. Two white outs to
the near side for Bishop mcdebit. It's like Swoops is
in the backfield to the left of Sebastian Williams, and
(01:58:16):
they're gonna run swoop, swoops up the middle. He's got
another good run up to the forty five and swoops
all the way down to the forty yard line. And
they were lucky he didn't break free and take that
one to the house.
Speaker 4 (01:58:27):
Like sixteen yards hereby swoops at your right art he
was a half a step away of freeing up that
second step and being able to take it to the house.
Speaker 5 (01:58:38):
Yeah, I thought we were gonna have a replay of
that earlier run. And it looked like to loose you
the safety got just enough of them to allow another
safety to come up and bring him down before he
went the distance.
Speaker 3 (01:58:49):
Two white outs to the near side, one to the
far for Bishop mcdebit. Sebastian back to pass. Now Here
comes a pressure fires one down the field and this
one is off the fingertips of Gage Ruth and incomplete.
Was scared for a second that one might have gotten
picked off, but it did fall to the ground. But
(01:59:12):
they try that pass down the middle to gauge.
Speaker 4 (01:59:14):
Jeremy Paletti almost was able to take it off of
the hands of Gage Ruth as he couldn't hold Wan
threw into a lot of traffic there.
Speaker 3 (01:59:26):
Second and ten from the forty one again two white
outs to the near side. One of the forest Swoops
to the left of Sebash and a couple of yards
behind them. They give it to Swoops, comes around the
corner and can't get there exactly as he's tackled down
for no gain at the forty one yard line. McDevitt's
gonna have a third down and ten.
Speaker 5 (01:59:44):
Lucas Ross who's that third safety. They kind of walk
him up as a linebacker. He strung that out, made
Swoops go wide, and it allowed Paletti to also come
up and get involved and close that down for no gain.
Speaker 3 (01:59:58):
Crusaders break cut off o'clock all the way down to
four to forty left the plane the third so of
twenty one to ten, three white outs to the foreside,
Ish Palmer in there is a white out for mcdebit
now Maurice Barnes in the backfield. Sebastian back to pass
plenty of time, fires one of the outside and John
take quick catches it right around the first down marker.
Speaker 5 (02:00:19):
And mpe the inches short. We'll see.
Speaker 4 (02:00:22):
Oh the spot though where he was he got knocked back. Yep,
and uh so, now decision time for mcdebit.
Speaker 5 (02:00:31):
Oh, I think you go here?
Speaker 4 (02:00:32):
Oh, I agree, I think you have to.
Speaker 5 (02:00:34):
I think it's a little long to try a field
goal with the with whatever wind there is. But it
doesn't even look like a fool. It looks like almost
the full yard. Hard hard to say, but he any
at any rate, I would go here.
Speaker 4 (02:00:49):
They're gonna go in an eye formation with Sebastian under.
Speaker 3 (02:00:52):
Center, Dawson in there as a blocking back, and they
will hand this one off to to Barnes and a
penalty flag comes flying in.
Speaker 4 (02:01:02):
It's gonna be one of those pre snaps. I think
somebody on the far side from us of the line.
Speaker 5 (02:01:10):
Yeah, he didn't give the number. He just said. False
start against mcdebitt.
Speaker 3 (02:01:15):
Would have been a first down, but it's waved off
here and now mcdevid'll have to face a fourth and six.
The Crusaders will still go for this. Yere, Now you
would think, yeah, I think so for sure. Probably a
little play action fake here from Sebastian.
Speaker 4 (02:01:36):
They're gonna end up having to use the time out here.
Speaker 3 (02:01:38):
I'm afraid play clock is down the twelve right now,
game clock three and a half minutes left.
Speaker 4 (02:01:44):
Maurice Barnes into backfield.
Speaker 3 (02:01:45):
Now three wide outs to the near side, one of
the far Sebastian waits a snap back to pass fires,
He's got his man at the thirty one. Another penalty
flag comes flying in. Should be at first.
Speaker 5 (02:01:58):
Got the first down, nice up by Liam Fuller, got
right past the sticks.
Speaker 3 (02:02:02):
See what the call is? Hopefully it's illegal contact or
something downfield.
Speaker 5 (02:02:06):
I was gonna say where it was thrown. It was
kind of thrown in the six seven yards downfield in
the secondary, so maybe it's something on the Peters secondary.
I don't know what else it could be.
Speaker 4 (02:02:18):
It's gonna be an interference, whether it's offensive or defensive.
Speaker 3 (02:02:24):
Up.
Speaker 5 (02:02:30):
They haven't signaled, but they're marching it off against mcdebon.
I'm shocked, I tell you, illegal touching. You know, I
can't offer any uh, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:02:46):
I'm not. I mean, I can't leave it at that.
Speaker 5 (02:02:48):
I don't know what that is.
Speaker 3 (02:02:49):
But it's a state final four playoff game, and these
rafts are getting involved way too heavily.
Speaker 7 (02:02:55):
Again.
Speaker 3 (02:02:56):
They just took away too.
Speaker 5 (02:02:57):
Consecutive first downs by mcdebit each wiped out by a penalty, and.
Speaker 3 (02:03:03):
We're getting into the point we're going to see another
ref show here again this week like we saw last week.
Speaker 5 (02:03:11):
When I hear illegal touching there, Marty, I'm wondering if
there was something with the formation where was Liam not
lined up?
Speaker 4 (02:03:20):
Was he was he somehow not an eligible receiver.
Speaker 5 (02:03:23):
I don't know. I don't know what else it could be.
Speaker 4 (02:03:24):
I don't know what else it could be either, unless
they the ball would come. If it was a push,
it would be an interference.
Speaker 3 (02:03:34):
So they apparently get the ball right where the play ended.
Speaker 5 (02:03:37):
Now now that I have to admit, I can't even
I'm very confused there.
Speaker 3 (02:03:42):
De Lucia fires it down the field at the thirty
eight yard line, and unfortunately, the refs have become a
major storyline of this state final four games, so they.
Speaker 5 (02:03:52):
Completed it for a first down. They called I legal touching,
so instead of marking off a penalty, they just gave
Peters Town the ball at their own forty two yard line.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:04:05):
Unbelievable, Yeah, because They couldn't have declined it right becauseidate
would have been a first down.
Speaker 3 (02:04:10):
Two white outs to the near side for Peters Township.
And they will run this one to the near side,
and mcdebicoate's in there and defends it and stops it
at the thirty five yard line. I know, I high
run this, guys. This is a stay Final four playoff game.
Nobody drove to Altuno to watch. The officials called illegal
touching and some of this stuff that I mean, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (02:04:33):
The dynamic duo of Duffian Barnes there shutting down new paper,
new paper. Fourteen carries for twenty nine yards is all
he has to this point.
Speaker 3 (02:04:43):
Second down and seven at the thirty five yard line
to Luciah back to pass. Here comes a pressure fires
one of the outside. This is complete with a great
tackle by Smith out here spinds him down for no
gain and it'll be third down and long.
Speaker 5 (02:04:57):
He actually lost yards, lost it about a yard or two.
Speaker 4 (02:05:01):
A great as you said, are a short tackle by
a killing Smith, and he wrestled him down just to
make because he was out there. One on one.
Speaker 3 (02:05:14):
Clock stops on the play out of bounds, apparently with
two twenty left to play. Third quarter. Mcdebit up twenty
one to ten, third and eight from the thirty six
two white outs to the far side de Lucia back
to pass. There comes a pressure, he's gonna run it
and he will be tackled down short of the first down.
He is able to get close to it at the
(02:05:34):
thirtieth though. I have a fourth and two.
Speaker 5 (02:05:36):
Again a Kiel and Smith coming up making a hit.
Zach Brown also there on the play, and now they're
setting up a huge play. Great. I mean, he looked
like he was gonna get the first down to me. Yeah,
had a lot of turf and aquiling. Great job and
Zach and he's said a huge fourth and almost three,
And now looks.
Speaker 3 (02:05:55):
Like they huddle up fourth and three from the thirty
one rd line. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:06:01):
As much as he ran, rob I thought he was
past the sticks.
Speaker 5 (02:06:04):
Me too, Me too, exactly.
Speaker 3 (02:06:07):
They come with DeLucia shotgun formation, back to pass, fires
over the middle. It's complete for the first down down
to the twenty one yard line of Bishop mcdebitt.
Speaker 5 (02:06:20):
That was Ross who just sat down there in the
middle of the field and he delivered the ball right
on time and picked up nine Tyler Reinhardt on the stop.
Speaker 3 (02:06:31):
So first down in ten Indians a minute eighteen left
the plane. The third mcdebit's lee twenty one to ten.
Two white outs to the fore side, one of the
near the Lucia's shotgun formation back to pass fires won
and this one has almost intercepted. There's great pressure in
there coming in there by Tron Dennis and made him
get rid of that one quickly.
Speaker 5 (02:06:52):
Yeah, he came free and delivered a nice hit and
uh a Kiel and Smith dove to the turf and
almost scooped that thing up off the turf. Would have
been an unbelievable interception.
Speaker 3 (02:07:04):
Second and ten, a minute five left to play in
this third quarter, mcdevi doup twenty one to ten. Crusaders
had the ball and were driving. Picked up two first downs,
both nullified by penalty. Delusia back to pass fires one
(02:07:26):
of the outside and this one is incomplete good coverage
out here in the outside by Crumbell.
Speaker 5 (02:07:31):
Perfectly time break up by Crumbell. They are against Ross
just got in there with the right hand and jarred
the ballers and Chris Thompson coming up the middle also
bringing the heat.
Speaker 4 (02:07:44):
That's at least the third time. Someone in the Crusader
secondary has timed their defense perfectly able to break up
a pass without an interference call.
Speaker 3 (02:07:54):
Three white outs to the far side, and it looked
like they're gonna call on all sides on mcdebitt, and
they do so, it'll be five yards and to be
third and five on mcdebitt or third and five for
UH Peters Township. Then it left to play in the
(02:08:22):
third quarter mcdebit of twenty one to ten, still a
third and five, mcdebitt's defense needing to stop here, three
wide outs to the far side for the Indians, the
Lucia back to pass gonna fire, went towards the end
tone and another penalty flag on Bishop mcdabott.
Speaker 4 (02:08:41):
This has to be offensive.
Speaker 5 (02:08:43):
I would think so too.
Speaker 4 (02:08:45):
But this just has to be offensive.
Speaker 5 (02:08:47):
I mean, it's certainly.
Speaker 3 (02:08:50):
I mean the receiver pushed.
Speaker 5 (02:08:51):
It was great coverage by by UH mcdebitt there in
the core of the end zone. Jamison Crumbell really nice job.
He's had a real good game and unfortunately he's down
angured for the second time here today. Earlier we thought
it was a cramp. Took him a while to come back,
and it looks like it looks like he might be
(02:09:13):
cramping again. Did theay I was down looking at crumbeled.
Did they signal the penalty?
Speaker 4 (02:09:21):
No, he stopped right before and went over to the
other ref to talk some more. He was ready to
signal it.
Speaker 3 (02:09:30):
I thought I saw him say push off against Peters Township.
Speaker 4 (02:09:33):
But oh, they're gonna walk it against mcdebbitt.
Speaker 3 (02:09:40):
Fifty four seconds left to play in the third.
Speaker 5 (02:09:42):
And yeah, Crumbell limping off here, and they didn't signal,
but it does look like they're gonna mark yard to
drop against mcdebbit. And I'm again, I'm kind of at
a loss on that one.
Speaker 4 (02:09:58):
I think they're trying to find the numb now of
who they're gonna call it on, because they keep looking
over towards the mcdevon huddle on the sidelines.
Speaker 3 (02:10:11):
Mcdevon has not been able to buy a call.
Speaker 11 (02:10:13):
This.
Speaker 5 (02:10:13):
No, this is this is this, this is pretty amazing.
Now there now there's Did they just signal defensive holding?
Speaker 4 (02:10:21):
Yeah? Oh, if the hold was there, it was before
it was well before the ball was there. And yeah,
well before I saw the push off, because when I
saw it, it was definitely a push there, but it
is what it is. And you guys know I normally
don't not the one that complains.
Speaker 3 (02:10:40):
Yeah, first down and goal from the eight yard line
for the Indians. The Lucia back to pass. Here comes
the pressure, rolls to the near side, fires back into
the end zone and this is caught for a touchdown
by the Indians, and of course more penalty flags come
flying in and this is just you know, what, what
do you want me to say? Passes complete the rust
(02:11:04):
twenty one sixteen mcdabbit forty six seconds left to play
in the third.
Speaker 4 (02:11:11):
Two flags came. There was a bump at the very
end of the play, but the reception was just made right.
It was like bang bang, let's see this should actually
be unsportsmanlike.
Speaker 5 (02:11:25):
Against Peers Town. Yeah, because he was he turned and
you know, did the whatever taunt it out.
Speaker 4 (02:11:32):
Get to the mcdebit player.
Speaker 3 (02:11:36):
And we'll see mcdbit's lead down the five. The penalty
is on mcdebit. I mean, this is just.
Speaker 5 (02:11:55):
I'll just say it. This is bad. This was one
of the few games last year when we got to
this round where the officials were from District ten and
I didn't find out where they're from, where they were
actually legit. This is just as bad as the nonsense
we see from like the Burks or the York officials.
Speaker 3 (02:12:10):
De Lusiah rolls to the right. Got a fire into
the end zone and he's got a two point conversion
out here to the number fourteen, Lihman, And now where
are penalty flags come flying? Man? There any guesses on
who these are going to be?
Speaker 4 (02:12:26):
Peters Township guy just bun the football very clearly with
two reps right there, so.
Speaker 3 (02:12:35):
So they get the two point conversion.
Speaker 4 (02:12:39):
So that should make the kickoff just a normal kickoff.
Speaker 3 (02:12:42):
Now, alright, let's take a break. Forty six seconds left
of playing the third mcdevid's lead twenty one to eighteen.
You're listening the Bishop mcdebit football here in Fox Sports

Speaker 3 (02:13:50):
No and de Lusia with a touchdown pass to Ross
and then they get the two point conversion after that.
So forty six seconds left to play in the third
quarter and Devitt's lead down to twenty one to eighteen.
Speaker 5 (02:14:05):
As Marty said, that kind of those penalties now cancel
out to the kickoff coming from the regular spot at
the forty mcdebit's still kind of expecting. They've got seven
guys bunched up there within five yards and.
Speaker 3 (02:14:19):
We'll see if they do the short pooch kick like
they have the entire game.
Speaker 4 (02:14:27):
That's the good happens. Mcdebit does a U.
Speaker 3 (02:14:32):
My yellow going left to right, go kick this one
deep this time and the Crusaders will return this one
taking over on the far side. Over there is is
that Smith back deep Smith, and he will run this
one up to the twenty six yard line and that's
where the Crusaders will set up shop. With just forty
(02:14:54):
one seconds left to play in the third quarter game
of debit had in control up twenty one to ten,
and they were driving. Picked up two first downs, both
nullified by penalty somehow after the second, Peters Township took
over the ball right there, drove down the field. It
(02:15:16):
was a penalty fest all the way to the end zone.
And now we got a three point ball game. Swoops
up the middle to the thirty they get about three
and that should be the final play of the third quarter.
Speaker 5 (02:15:30):
Lucas Ross number two has been active on both sides
of the ball here coming up and making the play.
Speaker 3 (02:15:38):
Play clock is at twenty four, game clock at seventeen,
so mcdebitt does not have to run in their play
if they elect not to here, and I think that
is the situation. The game clock down the six to five,
and that's going to do it for the end of
the third quarter here, So Bishia mcdebit's lead trim to
(02:15:59):
twenty one eighteen after three quarters of play in this
State Final four semi final game here at the five
A level. Yoursader's up twenty one to eighteen over Peters
Township and we'll take a break. You're listening to Viish

Stronger together, unstoppable as one. This is Bishop mcdebit football
on Fox Sports fourteen sixty.
Speaker 3 (02:17:14):
All right, Bishop mcdebit, after this avalanche of things going
against them, still leads twenty one to eighteen. As we
start the fourth quarter, we switch ends of the field.
Crusaders will have a second down and six from their
own thirty. They were to now go left to right
from the press box side of things here at Mansion
Park in Altoona, Chere.
Speaker 4 (02:17:38):
I really thought much earlier, he was mcdebit up. I
thought that they were gonna need twenty eight at least,
and it's almost affirmative now. I think they're gonna need
twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (02:17:53):
Mersaders come back onto the field here, Sleeps.
Speaker 4 (02:18:00):
Keep in mind if it comes down to field goal late,
mcdebitt's going to that end of the field, guys, where
the wind has been very tricky.
Speaker 3 (02:18:09):
Swoops in the backfield.
Speaker 4 (02:18:11):
Although there's not any signs of wind on the flag out.
Speaker 3 (02:18:13):
There, Crusaders have two wet outs to the far side.
They'll run swoops, swoops to the left side. I'm gonna
be short of the first down by about two, it
looks like and mcdevit will have a huge third down
and about two.
Speaker 4 (02:18:31):
Yeah, with the momentum being what it is, really mcdebit
needing badly to pick up a first down.
Speaker 3 (02:18:41):
John Tay quick out on the near side, Holton Junior
on the far side. Sebastian will give this from the
swoops and they try to push the power forward.
Speaker 5 (02:18:52):
It's gonna be very close after that late surge. Think
the far side ref has him a little maybe a
little short maybe half yard short, great surge thereby this
by swoops to put pick up a little bit more.
Are you guys do we ever see measurements anymore? Doesn't
seem like they ever come out and measure like I've
(02:19:13):
noticed that all year. They just eyeball it.
Speaker 4 (02:19:16):
They got.
Speaker 5 (02:19:17):
They signaled the first thing they did signal first down.
Wow either way either way, I would have thought that's
one that you measure. It looked pretty close. Yeah, it
looks looked pretty close. I could have seen it being
inches either way.
Speaker 4 (02:19:31):
The far side. Reth had it as a first down
from the beginning because he came in uh waving his
hands above his head for the time out that they
had gotten the first down.
Speaker 3 (02:19:41):
Finally a break for vision. Mcdebbitt, first intent, se bashing back.
The pass fires one of the outside. This is complete
up to the forty five yard line to Holden Junior.
It'll be second down and two for vision mcdebbit.
Speaker 4 (02:19:59):
Nice first down call here by mcdebed get away from
the run and throwing what it seems like a very
safe throw.
Speaker 5 (02:20:08):
Quick rhythm throw. Absolutely Marty Holton right out of his break,
and you're in a great spot here.
Speaker 3 (02:20:12):
On second down, Reice Barnes the running back in the
backfield to the right of Sebastian to give it to
Maurice and he fights forward and I think he's got
the first down with that second effort.
Speaker 5 (02:20:29):
Nice job just getting what you can get there and
moving the chains, and.
Speaker 4 (02:20:34):
That's taking advantage of the strength of Maurice Barnes to
just drive it enough to get the first down.
Speaker 3 (02:20:42):
Ten twelve left to play in the game. Mcdebit up
twenty one eighteen over Peters Township, John take quick and
Harold Holton Junior on the near side down her provision. Mcdebbit.
No wide receivers on the far side. It's like Reese
is in the backfield with Sebastian. They run it to
him and he spins forward, gets about two and it'll
(02:21:05):
be second down and eight for Vision mcdebbitt.
Speaker 4 (02:21:09):
Nice job there by keenan Dorian to shut that down
for Peters Township.
Speaker 3 (02:21:19):
Nine thirty five left to play. Clock ticking.
Speaker 5 (02:21:21):
Yeah, Dorn's not the biggest guy in there in the
in the middle of that line. He's only listed at
one nine five, but he's been very active the entire game.
Speaker 3 (02:21:31):
John take Quick on the near side, Holton Junior in
the far side. They bring Swoops back in. Swoops up
the middle, trying to burrow his way forward to about
the forty eight and we're gonna have a third down
and five for Bishop mcdebbitt.
Speaker 5 (02:21:52):
Swoops now gets to the one hundred yard mark. Seventeen
carries for one hundred yards today. And you wonder, guys,
with all of these just up the middle, up the middle,
up the middle of the RPO's coming. The safeties are
coming down. Pull that ball, throw it over the middle.
Speaker 3 (02:22:10):
Holden Jr. And Quick on the near side. Sebastian back
to pass, rolling to the far side. Sebastian dives forward.
Speaker 5 (02:22:20):
See he's gonna be about two yards short where he
got knocked out of bounds, I think.
Speaker 3 (02:22:26):
The forty six yard line. Eight thirty four left to play.
Speaker 5 (02:22:32):
He got hit as he was approaching the forty five.
They're marketing back at the forty six, so this is
gonna be a fourth and three.
Speaker 4 (02:22:40):
They're gonna have to punt it away. The way it looks,
really not much Sebastian could do there. He took off
to his best to try to get to the first down.
Markt just was unable, but not really a lot he
could do.
Speaker 3 (02:22:52):
Grella standing at his forty one yard line and Aiden
with a high punt, fair catch called for, and it
will actually bounce and take a good mcdebit role and
they will down this at the seven yard line. So
eight twenty three left to play. Mcdebit's lead twenty one
(02:23:13):
to eighteen each team of three timeouts left, and the
Peters Township Indians will take over. They will go right
to left on the press box side of things here
at Mansion Park Stadium in Altoona. Coming up after our game,
(02:23:33):
we'll have our Game Day Men's Health Player of the Game.
Game Day Men's Health defining a new era in men's health. Now,
the officials look like they're going to call for a

(02:24:17):
So Bisho mcdebit up twenty one eighteen.
Speaker 5 (02:24:20):
I mean, normally I would say, when you got them
backed up to the seven yard line with this mcdebit defense,
you gotta feel really good about the position you're in.
But after that last drive, I'm a little you know.
Speaker 4 (02:24:33):
Yeah, I'm just thinking of all those lines robbed to
your point, De Lucia, I think can be a factor
here running the footprint right, and he has not chosen
to do that that often. That really worries me here.
The other thing is is, you know they have a
(02:24:54):
lot of momentum. You know what I think about you know, decaid,
let's take a shot down field.
Speaker 5 (02:24:58):
Right, Yeah. I mean they've sacked a Lucia three times.
He got loose, he's had the one big run, he's
had the twenty nine yard run. When you look at
the sacks, you know he's he's got eight carries for
sixteen yards. But he's definitely has the threat. He definitely
has the threat.
Speaker 3 (02:25:19):
First and ten from the seven we're ready to row
here now.
Speaker 4 (02:25:22):
I mean the safe thing here is just a routine
handoff to try to get some room to work.
Speaker 3 (02:25:27):
The receiver goes in motion from the fore side to
the near that's Peter and taking it on the fore
side is new Paper. Goes out of bounds over on
the far sideline. Not a ton of yardage there. It'll
be second down.
Speaker 5 (02:25:42):
I mean, I don't even think he got a yard.
It looks like he got maybe a half yard where
they're marking it. Yeah, I don almost call that a
no gain. Nice job there on the edge for mcdevid
and a Kiel and Smith came up and knocked him
out and.
Speaker 4 (02:25:56):
The tight ends come out and they're spreading it out.
Speaker 5 (02:25:58):
A little bit. Team carries for twenty nine yards for
new Paper.
Speaker 3 (02:26:03):
Piletti and Kubini check into the game. And now.
Speaker 5 (02:26:07):
He went to a hard count there and drew off.
He went to a hard count and drew Jakai Logan
off sides, which in this situation that five yards is massive.
Speaker 3 (02:26:16):
Yeah, huge, all sides on mcdevid. It will be second
down and five, eight sixteen left to play in this game.
Mcdbit up twenty one to eighteen, second and five for
the Peters Township indians Ale.
Speaker 4 (02:26:38):
It's time to start thinking mcdevit needs a play for
the secondary.
Speaker 3 (02:26:44):
They have three wide outs out here on the near side.
Delushah fires one of the back side and this is
complete and mcdebit with a nice tackle.
Speaker 5 (02:26:53):
But Patrick Wright made a real nice hit and it's
going to be third down and three.
Speaker 4 (02:26:58):
Now there is a flag, rob uh. Jaki Logan was
in there with DeLucia. The flag came from behind that.
So my guess is it's a geat Jaky Logan holding
his hands up like what did I do?
Speaker 3 (02:27:13):
So yeah, personal foul on mcdavidt somehow another targeting.
Speaker 5 (02:27:24):
I mean, you know, yeah, I can't even comment on that.
I mean I was watching the where he completed the
ball right coming up to make the.
Speaker 3 (02:27:35):
Hit again, another huge call.
Speaker 5 (02:27:44):
Fifteen penalties on mcdabitt.
Speaker 3 (02:27:46):
Now one white out to each side of the field
for Peter's township. They'll bring a man in motion. Mcdebit's stop.
Twenty one to eighteen. After everything, de Lusia back to pass,
got a fire one down the field and it looked
like the receiver pushed off, gets away with it and
he will take it and go to the house for
(02:28:07):
a touchdown as Peter Luke scores, and just like that, mcdebit,
trail's here.
Speaker 5 (02:28:15):
It was Austin Mackle on the coverage and I see
what you're saying there, Art as he was running with him,
extended the arm and just kept running and Austin kind
had just stopped. That's what I saw, Marty, Yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (02:28:30):
Saw, didn't see. I know, I saw some contact. Wasn't
quite sure there was actually a flag out on the play.
Did you guys see that?
Speaker 5 (02:28:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (02:28:42):
And the ref just came and picked that up and
waved it off.
Speaker 3 (02:28:47):
So mcdebit now trails twenty four to twenty one, seven
to fifty one left to play and the kick is
up and it's good. We'll take a break. Mcdebit down now,
twenty five to twenty one, seven to fifty one left
to play. Something to Viisi McDevitt football Here in Fox
Sports fourteen sixteen I Heeart Radio.
Speaker 9 (02:29:04):

Speaker 1 (02:29:40):
For another ring, this is Bishop mcdebit football on NewsRadio
WHP five eight and iHeartRadio.
Speaker 4 (02:29:50):
Be interesting guys here to see what Peter Soundship chooses
to do on the kickoff.
Speaker 5 (02:29:56):
Will they go deep? Uh?
Speaker 4 (02:29:59):
Will they do that hi pooch like they've done several times?
You know, it's one thing mcdebitt does have the threat
even they're up men, you know have speed and can
take it to the house.
Speaker 3 (02:30:14):
Mcdebitt down twenty five to twenty one, seven fifty one
left to play. They bunch up their players before the
kickoff again. Now they release and spread out. Crusaders down
for the first time here today by four.
Speaker 4 (02:30:30):
Patrick Wright and John take quick are in those up positions.
Speaker 3 (02:30:34):
Here's another short kick. This one's gonna be caught by
mcdebit at the thirty and they will return this one
about to the forty yard line. Was that was Patrick Bright?
So goodfield position for the Crusaders. Just have to settle
down here plenty of times. Seven to forty five left
to play, three timeouts left, one score game.
Speaker 4 (02:30:59):
But really starts to loom large. Is that two point conversion?
Because that takes the field gold possibility away from the.
Speaker 5 (02:31:09):
Crusader A great, great point, Marty.
Speaker 3 (02:31:14):
There come the Crusaders, one white out to each side
of the field, one back in the backfield. Sebastian waits
a snap and they will give this the LaRue the
root of the outside and knocked out of bounds over
on the fore side. Not much.
Speaker 5 (02:31:35):
Now again, Peter's township very strong at the point of
the tackle. On the edge there and just strung that
out and LaRue tried to turn it up field but
was bumped out of bounds pretty much at the line
of scrimmage.
Speaker 4 (02:31:51):
I do like to sprint out action a little bit.
We've seen that before and without having a lot of
success up the middle this half. I liked going to
that sprint out, but they weren't able to really get
anything from it. Actually lost the yard.
Speaker 3 (02:32:06):
Two white outs to the near side for Bishop mcdebit.
One back in the backfield. We're gonna run this one
and not much for the Crusaders as they get about two,
it'll be third down and eight. That was swoops on
the carry for Bishop mcdebit. Seven to twenty left to
play in the game. Mcdebit down twenty five to twenty one.
Speaker 5 (02:32:28):
I'm surprised we haven't seen a little bit more guys
of like the run pass option.
Speaker 3 (02:32:37):
Yeah, two white outs to the near side for Bishop mcdebitt.
Speaker 4 (02:32:40):
I'm looking for Gage Ruthier.
Speaker 3 (02:32:43):
Sebastian back to pass fires one of the outside. This
is complete up to the fifty and should be enough
for our first down. Fort mc davis. Yes, sir, that
was John T.
Speaker 5 (02:32:53):
Quick precise route, great throw, great touch on it by
Sebastian needed eight gotten.
Speaker 4 (02:33:00):
Yeah, and great job by of John Day after the reception.
I've turned it up just enough before he was gonna
run out of bounds to get that first down.
Speaker 3 (02:33:11):
First and ten McDevitt six forty five left to play.
Gage Ruth and John Tay Quick to the far side,
Holton Junior on the near side. Sebastian waits a snap.
He's got Swoops in the game behind him. They give
it to Swoops again. Swoops cuts outside, Swoops pushes the
(02:33:31):
power forward up to the forty and be shy of
the first down by a yard.
Speaker 5 (02:33:36):
Go to be second and one, and Swoops ran angry
there as he had two guys hitting him. He ran
right through him and De Lucia came up to try
to finish him off, and Swoops lowered his shoulder and
sent to Lucia flying backwards at the end of that run.
Speaker 4 (02:33:51):
A good first down pickup, Uh, gives you some options
here on second down. They're gonna go with two tight
end or maybe something else. Brown into your rop.
Speaker 5 (02:34:02):
Nineteen carries for one hundred and twelve yards. Now for Swoops.
Speaker 3 (02:34:05):
John te Quick checked out for Bishop McDevitt's Crusaders come
up to the line. They have Zach Brown in there
and mcdebitt balls on the ground and it's picked up. Now,
what are they calling here?
Speaker 5 (02:34:21):
I don't even know what they called it. I think
it was an incomplete pass.
Speaker 4 (02:34:24):
It should be.
Speaker 5 (02:34:25):
It was a shovel pass. Yeah, it was a forward pass.
Speaker 4 (02:34:29):
Yeah, it was a shuffle pass.
Speaker 5 (02:34:30):
And Peters Township came in and hit Zach right as
he was getting the ball. So it's an incomplete pass.
There's really nothing to discuss here, I mean, if they
don't understand that.
Speaker 3 (02:34:44):
So it's third and one now at the forty yard
line for Bishop mcdebitt, five thirty six left to play
in this game. Crusader's down twenty five to twenty one.
Power eye formation. They give it to Swoops. He's got
the first down down to the thirty seven yard line.
Speaker 5 (02:35:01):
Nothing fancy there. Everybody knew what was coming. They had
a million guys in the box. Mcdebit had a heavy
package with Milch and Fuller of Titan and Dawson, and
they just won the battle there and moved the chains.
Speaker 4 (02:35:15):
Really plenty of times. Actually, yeah, the more time if
you're going to score. The more time you run off here,
the better.
Speaker 3 (02:35:23):
Five seventeen left to play. Mcdebit down twenty five, twenty one,
two white outs to the far side for vision mcdebit
one of the near twoops to the left of Sebastian
back to pass fires one of the outside. This is
complete and taking it out of bounds inside the thirty
down to about the twenty seven yard line. That it's Johntay, Yeah, Johntey.
Speaker 5 (02:35:48):
And then another first down, another first down. He surged
ahead there before he got knocked out and picked up
two more yards, so he got exactly ten balls.
Speaker 3 (02:35:59):
At the twenty eight year guard line. Gaye, Ruth and
John take quick to the near side, Holton Junior to
the far side, first and ten mcdebbitt. They'll run Swoops
up the middle and Swoops gets about three. It'll be
second and seven for Bishop mcdebitt.
Speaker 4 (02:36:17):
And that James Spratt again.
Speaker 5 (02:36:21):
I'm always skeptical when I see tackle stats from other teams.
How how you know how they were award them? When
I saw he had twenty two last week against Pye Richland.
But I mean, he's he's gotta have double digits again today.
Speaker 4 (02:36:36):
He's been really impressive in the second half, really active.
Speaker 3 (02:36:40):
Four and a half minutes left to play, mcdebit down
twenty five to twenty one. Two white outs to the
near side, one to the far. Sebastian Williams waits a
snap back to pass pass time, fires it down the middle.
John take quick touch down and Bishop mcdebbit goes back
up twenty seven twenty five with four eleven left to
(02:37:04):
play in the game.
Speaker 4 (02:37:06):
A skinny post, perfect you throw. That ball had to
go over a defender and come down for Johnta to
handle it. A perfect throw by Sebastian Williams.
Speaker 5 (02:37:18):
Beautiful job by the whole offense. He had plenty of
time to step in time to step into that throwing.
As you said, Marty, unbelievable throw. Johntay always precise on
the routes. Nine plays sixty yards and.
Speaker 3 (02:37:33):
A huge extra point coming up here for Bishop mcdebit
as they lead by two at the moment, Ryan Hart
the holder, Grella the kicker, and Grella's kick is up
and it is good. So Bishop mcdebitt back up twenty
eight twenty five, four to eleven left to play. Let's
take a break. You're listening to Bisho McDevitt football here
