Coach up a good couple of wins the last two
weeks out at Landsfield. Kind of weird to be on
the road in the same same stadium two weeks in
a row, but good win against East US.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Talk a little bit about it.

You know, you're right, thirty eight years of coach, I've
never played in the same stadium away two weeks in
a row. But you know, last week and we got
off the start offensively. You know, a lot of that
is we were missing juice of our center again. Uh,
you know, we had three centers we practiced with the week,

went with one and uh you know, first played role back.
Then we had a fourth and one which we would
have gotten and I think went down and score over
We lost twenty two yards, you know, and then we
had some penalties again and so but you know, the

defense did a good job, you know, Tyler getting two interceptions.

Once we got the.

Ball back the end of the first quarter into the
second quarter, we started to.

Get wrong on offense.

Uh, you know, we had a big third down and
Sebastian made a great throwdown the gage. Ruth really good
read guys down to the floor. We scored and that
kind of like took it off and then I think
next it might have been Droun taking a toss to
the house and then a screen and and then you know,
disappointed our pursuit angles we didn't. We did a good

job initially stopping the play, and then the quarterback cut
back and our pursuit angles weren't good and he went
for a touchdown. But I was real pleased to see,
you know, we came back, we have a little over
a minute left and went down and scored again.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
So you know, it was a good win.
Speaker 3 (01:47):
I thought, you know, it's hard, you know, we were
rotating some offensive linemen in you know, uh, Andre Mannon
came back, played some and then you know I had
to come.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Back out and and you.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Know, the merry go round at center. So I think,
all in all, you know, it was a good game.
And other than that one well touchdown ron, I thought
defense played really well and special teams still playing well.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
So you know, it was a good win. Anytime you
get a win, it's a good win.

Maurice Barnes somewhere in that first quarter comes from the
blind side, gets their quarterback and it kind of set
the town. You could see the very next play the
quarterback was really not able to get set and throughout
the game it's almost like that hit.

You know, sometimes they bring memories. Yeah it was.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
It was a great play by Maurice and you know,
good call. Buy our defensive coaches.

Okay, so I know you can't talk about them, but
you got a lot of injuries.

You know, what's it looking like for tonight.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
I mean, as we talk, it's kind of a game
time decision. You know, as we go out here in pregame,
you know, guys are going to you know, test it
a little bit. But you know, it is a very
similar situation that we had last year.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
We got banged up against CD East going up to State.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
College, and the plan was, you know, we want to
win the game, just like we do want to win
the game tonight, but we also got to think about
the playoffs. So you know, I wanted to see how
some of our guys are because to me, it's not
worth just to get one win at the end of
the playoffs or at the end of the regular season.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
And then have guys reinjured.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
You know, we brought John tay Quick back from his injury,
and you know, the next game, you know, he got
caught in the turf and the same injury again, and
he's missed the last two weeks, and you know, again
he's a he's a pre game, game time decision. Same
(03:39):
with a couple of other guys, and you know, it's
really hard because we want to win because that's what
we do here is Senior Night, So we definitely want
to win for the seniors. But in the same token
is it worked us out for us last year. I mean,
even losing and having to play, you know, not having
the first round by and and actually I kind of
like the first round first round game, and so a

lot of players because when you don't play for two
weeks because you have a buye, you know, you're usually
a little bit slow starting because the timing's not there.
So it's a hard decision for me. You know, it's
kind of be a feel you know, once I know,
a watch these guys work out a little bit, see
how they feel. I mean, the decision will be finally
(04:23):
up to them, you know, as long as it's you know,
and pretty much with the medical it's kind of you know,
if they feel they can go, they can go. But
and even if they do play, it's gonna be a
feel how the game's going if if you know, I
might have to take them out. If we have any
more injuries, I've probably taken our guys out because you know,

it's all about one of the playoffs, and you know,
I think we got a good shot if we have everybody.
We have not had our full team since the first
game against Clarkson North, so you know, we'll see.

Somebody who didn't have to start with state college. Last year,
they had three on the board. It seemed like you
weren't in off the bus. So let's talk about it's
a new team, it's a new year. What are they
bringing back and what do they got to are don't
make it tough for us. They're big upfront on both
sides of the ball.

I mean they're huge, like Cluk's North huge, maybe even
a little bit bigger.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
They have a sophomore quarterback, first year starter. He runs
the ball a little bit, but he's been throwing all
really well.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
They had some good receivers and not quite like number
three was last year, but they had some good receivers.
You know, they're you know, they got the chef ee
back at running back. He's going to Syracuse he's a
great running back as well, over a.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Thousand yards, you know.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
So you know, defensive league, you know, we've got to
played really well and we haven't played a team like
this since we played Harrisburg.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
And then defensively they're good.

I don't think they're quite as good as they were
last year, but you know, we we we also don't
have some guys on offense too, So you know, I'm
hoping for a good game and we'll see how it goes.
