Thanks for listening.
Speaker 5 (00:36):
And the Crusaders are headed back to the state championship
for the fourth.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
Time in five years. Aiden Grella with the billboard.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
It's now time for kickoff.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Crusader football is brought to you by Tim Decker of
Green Spring Advisors, Select Medical, and Steve Augello Strategies. Now
let's head out to the field with your game announcers,
Art Selby and Marty Bowman.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
All right, welcome back to Rocco Atenzio Stadium here at
Bishop McDevitt High School and Bishop McDevitt Football officially on
the air. The Crusaders get ready to take on the
Good Council Falcons from Oney, Maryland. Marty going to be
a tough one here tonight, but perfect weather for this
football game here in late August.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
It is.
Speaker 6 (01:23):
Going up against a team here that's a power down
there in that suburban D.C. area playing the likes of
DeMatha and playing a... Partial national schedule also. So when
you saw him lined up on the other side, Art,
it definitely looked like a college roster as far as
the amount and as far as some of the kids themselves. But, yeah,
(01:44):
McDevitt's going to have to be flawless here and get
some big plays, maybe, Art, in the opening kickoff.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Good counsel won the toss, as you saw, Marty, and
they deferred. So Bishop McDevitt will get the ball to
start the first half. And good counsel will kick this
thing off towards the Derry Street End of the field
here at Rockford Tenzio Stadium. Sunshine straight off from the
press box side of things here at Rockford Tenzio Stadium.
Two men back deep for Bishop McDevitt. Looks like they
(02:12):
have Caden Walker is back deep for Bishop McDevitt. And
Jonte Quick is back there as well, Marty, for Bishop McDevitt.
And I believe the kicker is Ryan Johnson. Let's see,
get a number on that. That's actually number 42 out there,
and number 42, that would be Chase Spahr, is the
(02:36):
kicker for the Falcons. Here's Spahr's kick. This one will
come down, and it's going to be caught literally about
the one-yard line, and they'll bring this one back on
the near side out here. That is 25, Walker, and
Walker with a nice return for Bishop McDevitt all the
way up to the 38-yard line, and he's making his
presence felt right off the bat, Marty.
Speaker 7 (02:56):
Absolutely, absolutely. It's a good start for a.
Speaker 6 (03:00):
Freshman return, man, getting the ball out to the 38-yard
line for McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (03:05):
So we'll see this Crusaders offense led in the field
by quarterback Sebastian Williams, number nine. Sebastian with a fantastic
year last year for Bishop McDevitt. He's got a lot
of weapons to work with on this offense for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (03:19):
He didn't do any better than the start last week
in the scrimmage arc.
Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah, three wide outs to the far side as he
threw that bomb last week to Holton right off the bat.
and McDevitt will run this one to the outside, and
actually they'll give this one to Jontae Quick on a
little unique sweep kind of play there, Marty.
Speaker 7 (03:35):
It was.
Speaker 6 (03:36):
Jontae went in motion, went behind the quarterback, and came
back around, and Sebastian Williams gets the snap, hands it
off to him, and the Crusaders pick up nine.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, creative first play there by Coach Weckner. It's second
and one for the Crusaders. Ball's at the, just shy
of the 47-yard line.
Speaker 7 (03:54):
Short, second and one. Already taking a chance here, maybe 20%.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
Taking the shot. You might want to air one out
down the field with the weapons on the field. McDevitt
just with four elite wide receivers. Might even be able
to say five. We'll see how things play out. They
threaten a blitz. Sebastian has time. Fires one to the outside.
And this one is caught at about the 45-yard line
and down to the 40-yard line. And I think that
(04:18):
was that Jontae Quick trying to see on the far
side over there. It was Jontae. It was.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
We were looking into that glare of the sun, Art,
for about another... 25 minutes, so we're doing the best
we can.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
The line did a nice job there, and Sebastian had
a couple seconds to get rid of that one.
Speaker 6 (04:40):
And he went through procedure, gave Quick enough time to
clear everybody and get open out there.
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Well done, as you said, Art, by Sebastian Williams.
Speaker 3 (04:48):
So first and 10, McDevitt at the 40. They'll send
two wideouts to each side of the field. It's John
Tate Quick and Thatcher Hansley on the near side. Now
going in motion is Hansley. And McDevitt will take this
one up the middle. And they get good yards again, Marty.
Speaker 7 (05:06):
Yeah, getting six on that one. Getting some good holes there.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
Trying to see as we look off into the sun
on that one. I think that might have been Walker again.
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Yeah, it was Walker. He went left side of that line, Art.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
So they got six on that one. We'll say second
and four from the 34. Crusaders going left to right
on the radio dow here, driving towards the Union deposit
end of the field. They'll have two wide outs to
the far side, it looks like, and one man alone
on the near side. Now they'll bring a man in motion.
That's Smith. Here's a pass over the middle, and this
(05:46):
one is caught inside the 20. And that is Jontae
Quick for another Bishop McDevitt first down.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Just a quick slant art, sort of a real skinny post,
perfectly thrown, great pattern.
Speaker 7 (06:00):
He threw it on the money and on time.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, just well designed. Sebastian didn't have to hold onto
that ball very long, and Jontae with a nice reception
right down the middle showing good hands on that one.
Speaker 6 (06:10):
We'll get that other line here. We'll get half of
it now and half after. It's Andre Main, London Colbert,
and Desjardins Donn.
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Colton the wide out on the far side. They have
two wide receivers on the near side. That's John Tate
Quick and Zayden Smith. One back in the backfield with Sebastian.
And they will run this one up the middle. And
they'll get to about the 16-yard line on that one,
I think. And that was number 10. That was Layden Black.
(06:41):
for Bishop McDevitt. Layden Black, 5'11, 185-pound sophomore running back
for Bishop McDevitt. Second and six at the 16-yard line.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
This side, they've got Eli Culpepper at guard and Kevin
Devan at the tackle on this right side of the
offensive line.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
Hansley and Smith out on the far side, it looks like,
for Bishop McDevitt. Sebastian back to pass, dumps one off
to the outside, out there. And this one will be
taken inside the 10, down to the 5. That's Caden
Walker again. Another first down to the 5.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
I think you have to note here, Art, is that
Coach Wechter has shown a lot of confidence in the freshman.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Oh, yeah.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
I mean, we've seen some video of this kid, and
he's sensational. But that was midget football.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
This is varsity at one of the elite programs in
the state, and Coach Wechter is involving him immediately. And
to come out of the backfield like that, Well done.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
So two wide receivers to the near side. One to
the far for Bishop McDevitt. Two backs in the backfield
and the pistol. Sebastian back to pass.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
Fires one out of the middle. And it's caught for
Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Touchdown Zayden Smith. His first touchdown as a Crusader. And
Bishop McDevitt with an impressive opening drive. 7.46 left to
play in the first quarter. They take a 6-0 lead
over Good Counsel.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
I think they went to the line of scrimmage with,
you know, okay, if we see this, this is what
we're going to do. And it was single coverage on Smith,
and he just did just a quick slant. And Sebastian
Williams put it right on the money.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Kunter Raff, the holder for Bishop McDevitt this year. Hansley,
I believe, is the snapper for the Crusaders on special teams.
So here's the kick. It's up, and it's good. And
that was a... David Lulinda. So Bishop McDevitt goes up 7-0,
7.46 left to play in the first quarter.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
We'll take a break.
Speaker 3 (08:41):

Electricity on a football field.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
This is Bishop McDevitt Football on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (09:30):
Welcome back to Rock Road 10ZO Stadium here at Bishop
McDevitt High School. Crusaders up 7-0 over Good Counsel. That
was a 7-play, 62-yard drive for Bishop McDevitt, and it
concluded on a 5-yard touchdown pass from Sebastian Williams to
Zayden Smith. Crusaders up 7-0, 745 left to play in
(09:50):
the first quarter, and here is the kickoff. Good Counsel
will return this one to about the 26-yard line, and
they will set up driving towards the Derry Street end
of the field.
Speaker 6 (10:02):
Very short loop of a kick, but McDevitt got down quick,
and really no return whatsoever, so good counsel.
Speaker 7 (10:09):
The Falcons have it in their 26-yard line.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Freshman running back on that draft, Caden Walker, obviously a
playing some big minutes his nickname is trooper we found
out why his name was a trooper basically uh when
his mom was having him he was a trooper you
could say coming through the pregnancy there and he was
a trooper on that opening drive for uh bishop mcdevitt
it's very impressive all right so here we'll see good
(10:36):
counsel back to pass fires one down the field this
one's complete up to the 40 yard line for good
counsel and mcdevitt finally spins them down around the 40
yard line.
Speaker 6 (10:48):
Pick up about 14 there. Just a nice quick curl
on the outside.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
On the pass attempt there for good counsel. Ball just
shy of the 40-yard line. Smith goes out on the
far side. There's a wide out. They have two lined
up on the near end. Two backs in the backfield.
pay three backs and rice will hand this one off
(11:21):
up the middle they get about three yards out of
that it'll be second down and seven for good counsel.
Speaker 6 (11:27):
Both offenses really aren't really getting uh you know getting
what they want.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
You saw one back on the qb.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Shoulder two others uh.
Speaker 7 (11:44):
One behind the left tackle and one just a little
bit out on the wing. And gave it a three-back look.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Should mention Bishop McDevitt tonight in their dark blue jerseys,
white numbers, Vegas gold pants and gold helmets as always.
And the good council Falcons in all white with gold helmets.
They look a little bit like UCLA from where we're
standing right now. Going in motion is Alston. Here's a
little dump pass over the middle to their fullback. And
that is complete for a first down. And... Trying to
(12:14):
get a number on that one as I look into
the sun, but it's a first down for the Falcons
of good counsel down to the 49er, McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (12:21):
Yeah, Jackson Rice just took his time, waited for that
thing to open up and just laid it out there
for a first down.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Six minutes left to play first quarter. Bishop McDevitt ate
up about five minutes and took it down the field
methodically for a touchdown to go up 7-0. That was
a start the Crusaders needed. Now looking for a big
defensive play to Get off the field as it's first
down and 10 for the Falcons at the 49-yard line.
Man goes in motion. Race back to pass. Dumps one
down the sideline, and this one's too far down the
(12:52):
sideline as he tried to hit his receiver, Corey Smith, Jr.
Good coverage by McDevitt there, Marty, as there were two
guys out there on him.
Speaker 7 (12:58):
It was. It was very good-looking coverage by the Crusaders.
Clock stops 540.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
Left to play first quarter.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Debit up 7-0 over good counsel. Five-yard touchdown pass from
Sebastian Williams to Zayden Smith. Good counsel breaks huddle just now.
Looks like one wide out to the far side, one
to the near. Power eye formation it looks like behind Rice.
(13:34):
Play action fake, back to pass. Going to fire one
to the outside. This one is complete. and they will
take this one down to the 32-yard line for a
first down, and that was Corey Smith Jr.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
Good counsel doing a good job, Art, sending a receiver
deep and then just following that along underneath and really
making it tough for McDevitt, especially a first game of
the year, trying to get that coverage correct.
Speaker 7 (13:59):
And right now, good counsel are having their way.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Yeah, it's very effective. Obvious speed by Corey Smith to
sprint down the field and And then they just seem
to have a back wide open down the side. So
first and ten for the Falcons. Race under center. Going
in motion is Altooner. Race will hand this one off.
(14:23):
And McDevitt defends this one well this time as they
get in there and shut that down quickly for no gain.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Princeton-Kanama in there. That was actually the first time that
the Councils run the football. And McDevitt was ready there
to eat that up for no gain.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Second down and 10. Looks like good counsel has an
electric plate thing that you'll see it actually lights up
over in the far sideline over there. That's something different
at the high school level. The Falcons have it. They
have one wide out to each side of the field.
Ray's shotgun formation. He's got it back to his right.
Altuner goes in motion now. Panty flag comes flying in.
Speaker 7 (15:08):
They got procedure against good counsel.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
So that'll help McDevitt, and they'll make it second down
and 15. So that'll take it back to the 37-yard line.
Second down and 15 for the Falcons. 4-18 left to
play first quarter. Bishop McDevitt up 7-0 over good counsel.
Just getting started. Season opener here at Rockford 10-0 Stadium.
(15:33):
Art Selby, Marty Bowman. Rob Pugliese to our right doing
PA tonight here at Rocker Tenzio Stadium as always. And J.C.
and Eli back in the Fox Sports 1460 studios. Again,
Al Tuner goes in motion. Now Rice fakes the handoff,
fires a little pass over the middle, and this is
complete down to the 25-yard line of Bishop McDevitt. They
(15:56):
pick up about 11 on that one.
Speaker 6 (15:58):
They give them third and short there, Art. They've got
about three to go on this third down. Definitely accuracy here.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Christian Press on that reception for the Falcons. You would
think this would be two down territory if they don't
pick this up on third down and three at the 25.
Speaker 4 (16:16):
No, it.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Doesn't appear they have a solid kicking game. I'm sure
they want to answer the McDevitt touchdown. They break huddle
right now. Raisins. Brace fakes the.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
Handoff, and he is going to be hit in the backfield.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
McDevitt gets in there. It looked like Chance Holmes, one
of the players in there for Bishop McDevitt, to take
him down for a loss.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
So it looked like Princeton Kanama was in there again.
That's the second time we've seen him in the backfield.
Nice job, as you said, by Chance Holmes.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
So that makes it fourth and seven back in the 29,
245 left to play. In the first quarter, McDevitt up 7-0,
and the Falcons will go for it. You can see
the play clock on the side over there, Christmas colors.
Two wideouts to the near side for the Falcons. Rice,
(17:18):
shotgun formation, one back to his right, blocking back just ahead.
Rice back to pass, and now they'll stop play, penalty flag,
and that's going to be offside to McDevitt. Not the
time you want to see that.
Speaker 6 (17:32):
That's one of the things we talked about. You don't
want to see that. You don't want to see it anytime.
You don't want to see it early on a fourth
and long.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
So they get the yards back. They lost on the
last play. Now it gets into a running situation potentially.
Although McDevitt's done pretty well against their run early on here.
It'll be fourth and a long two. The 24-yard line
of vision. McDevitt 220 left to play first quarter. McDevitt
up seven zip. They start the clock again. Rice in
(18:04):
that shotgun formation, trying to get McDevitt to jump, clapping
his hands. Now he'll back off and look over to
the far sideline. Has a play, now lines up again.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Play clock at 12.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
Doing everything they can to try and get McDevitt to jump.
Now Rice goes under center, and he will hand the
ball off, and I don't think he got it. It
looked like McDevitt stopped it.
Speaker 7 (18:30):
Indeed they did.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
So, yes, they come up short. And the Bishop McDevitt
defense does a nice job right after the offense. Scores
a touchdown. Good counsel drives the ball down the field.
And the defense denies the Falcons on fourth down and
a long two. And the Crusaders take over. A minute
46 left to play in the first quarter. They'll have
a first down and ten from their own 23. A
(18:54):
minute 46 left to play. No one plans to get
sick or hurt. It just happens. And when it does,

the shotgun, and now how many flags come flying in?
I think that's delay game against Bishop McDevitt, and it is.
Speaker 7 (19:31):
You just got to wonder how that happens after a
change of possession.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (19:34):
They were out on the field plenty of time.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Coach Wector's got to be frustrated with that one.
Speaker 7 (19:41):
Marty Bowman's frustrated.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
I can hear it in your voice, Marty. I'm frustrated, too.
Speaker 7 (19:46):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
Maybe not as frustrated as you, but close.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
Jaden Smith was out here wide, and he was trying
to let the bench know before that penalty hit. We
had two receivers on this side, and they were both
on single coverage.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
So it's first and 15. McDevitt back at their own 18.
A minute 46 left to play. Two wide outs to
the near side. Sebastian back to pass. Here comes the pressure.
Fires one over the middle, and this one is intercepted
by good counsel, and they will take this one to
the house. That is number six on the roster, and
(20:25):
there is no number six. Actually, that's Landon Lawal with
the pick six, and what a huge momentum changer on
that one. And in the wall, the safety on that one.
Now they're an extra point away from tying this game up.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
That's one of those art we don't know until next week.
Was it a mis-thrown ball or was it a mis-run pattern?
And you just don't know because it certainly was Sebastian
and the receiver were not on.
Speaker 7 (20:56):
The same page.
Speaker 3 (21:02):
So the wall with the pick six, some late substitutions
again here. It's a counter-wrath. Comes onto the field for
Bishop McDevitt. Number 42 out there to kick the extra point,
Chase Spahr. And Spahr's kick is up, and it is good.
So that ties the game at 7. Minute 38 left
to play in the first quarter. We'll take a break.
(21:24):

Speaker 2 (22:03):
The game everyone circles on the schedule.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
This is Bishop McDevitt football on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
All right, welcome back to Rockport 10-2 Stadium here at
Bishop McDevitt High School. Art Selby, Marty Bowman, huge momentum-changing
play there. Bishop McDevitt went down the field on the
opening draft, scored a touchdown. Defense got a stop on
fourth down. Then they get the delay game penalty, and
then a pick six is landed in the wall. picked
it off and took it to the house for good
(22:34):
counsel to tie this game up now and up to
the crusaders to take momentum back here because here's the
kickoff this one will come down at the two yard
line crusaders bring this one back to the 10 to
the 15 to the 20 to bring it out to
the 30 and another nice return there by bishop mcdevitt
again that's a caden walker i believe on the kick
return for bishop mcdevitt yeah.
Speaker 6 (22:56):
Indeed was caden walker art and uh He takes it
straight up the middle, and he makes that cut very late.
And really, someone got him from behind because that cut
was probably going to take him to the far side
and a lot of running room out there, but still
a very good return.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
175-pound, 5'8, freshman for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (23:18):
Very fleet of foot, Art.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
And there's penalty flags down, so that one's coming back.
Speaker 7 (23:29):
It's probably going to be a block in the back,
I would think, maybe a hold.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
So that brings it all the way back to the
17-yard line. So Bishop McDevitt first down and 10 from
its own 17, going left to right towards Union Deposit.
A minute 31 left to play in the first quarter,
a 7-7 game. Sun begins to make its way down
towards the trees. Two wideouts to the near side for
(23:56):
Bishop McDevitt. And the Crusaders will run this one up
the middle. And the Crusaders get up to about the 20.
They got about three on that one. That was number
10 for Bishop McDevitt leading black.
Speaker 7 (24:12):
Quick hit for three up the middle.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Second and seven for Bishop McDevitt as that interception has
really quieted things down here. At Brockwood-Tenzio Stadium for the moment,
two wide receivers to the near side, one to the far.
Sebastian back to pass. Has time. Fires one to the outside.
This one is complete. On the outside to Holton Jr.
for a first down over on the far sideline at
the 29-yard line.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
Howard Holton Jr. just really ran a little 10-yarder out.
Just a real quick turnout. And Sebastian put it right
on the money.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
So gain a 9 and a first down and 10.
Bishop McDevitt. clock down to 45 seconds left to play
here in the first quarter crusaders run up to the
line it's jaunte quick on the near side one wide
out to the far side sebastian back to pass has
time gotta roll to the far side and sebastian's gonna
be sacked back at the 26 yard line or so
(25:14):
look like they're gonna try and fire that one down
the field on the far side but good coverage there
by the falcons yeah we Count that.
Speaker 6 (25:21):
As a coverage sack, and Sebastian tried to get out
of there and pick something positive up.
Speaker 7 (25:27):
Wasn't able to do it.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Reed Baker with good coverage for the Falcons over there
on the far side.
Speaker 7 (25:33):
He got a flag on at the play, Art.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
And the clock's down to six seconds.
Speaker 7 (25:40):
And it'll probably run out there because they'll start it here.
It was an illegal procedure and declined. Well, now it
looks like they... Yeah, second down.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
So they start the clock, and that will take us
down to the end of the first quarter. So we'll
switch ends of the field when we return. Bishop McDevitt
and good counsel tied at seven here at Rocco Ritenze
Stadium after one quarter of play. Take a break. You're

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Harrisburg's elite high school football program. This is Bishop McDevitt
Football on Fox Sports 1460. All right, welcome back to
Rockport Tenzio Stadium here at Bishop McDevitt High School.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
I'm Selby Marty Bowman, and Bishop McDevitt, good counsel, tied
at seven. Crusaders had a long drive. Zayden Smith caught
a five-yard touchdown pass from Sebastian Williams, but then a
pick six by Landon Lawal. Took it in and tied
the game at seven here as we start the second quarter.
Bishop McDevitt will have a second down and 13 after
(27:51):
a penalty, Marty.
Speaker 6 (27:54):
Yeah, I'm kind of thinking it's a real long in-between
quarters here, so I'm wondering if they mix in the drink.
Speaker 7 (28:04):
Timeout in there.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
Yeah, maybe.
Speaker 3 (28:08):
The Crusaders just now running back onto the field here.
Their dark blue jerseys, white numbers, gold pants, gold helmets.
The Falcons of good counsel with the all-white uniforms, dark
blue numbers, gold helmets. Slightly different, lighter gold than Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (28:28):
Thomas Desjardins Barnes snapping in the gun for the Crusaders.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
Sebastian back to pass, rolls to the far side. He
has a man out there. This one is caught by McFarlane.
And McFarlane will take this one up to about the
35-yard line. So a good pickup there for Bishop McDevitt
of about 9, I think.
Speaker 7 (28:47):
Very nice pickup. Gives him a manageable 3rd and 4.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
3rd and 4 just shy of the 35-yard line. 11.54
left to play first half. Bishop McDevitt 7. Good counsel, Seven.
Huge play here for Bishop McDevitt. Want to keep the
momentum going with the offense. Still looking into the sun
(29:11):
from the press back side of things here. Two wide
outs to the near side from McDevitt. One to the far.
Now he'll go in motion. That's Holton. And they'll fire
one to the outside. Holton's wide open.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
He's got the first down and more. 50. Cuts back inside.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
And he stepped out of bounds at the 46. But
it's a first down and a great play for Bishop McDevitt, Marty.
Speaker 7 (29:30):
Holton came out from the inside, Art.
Speaker 5 (29:33):
And.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Sebastian Williams got the ball out early. When Holton turned around, the.
Speaker 7 (29:38):
Ball was right there.
Speaker 2 (29:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (29:39):
And he was able to then, because of that, skate
up the sideline.
Speaker 6 (29:43):
And Zayden Smith was out front, did a nice job blocking,
and then got away that he didn't get tied up and.
Speaker 7 (29:48):
Get a holding pedal there. Nice job by Smith there.
Speaker 6 (29:51):
Nice job on the patter by Howard Holton, who cramped
immediately on the sidelines.
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Another well-designed play there by Bishop McDevitt. Bishop McDevitt football

at selectmedical.com. Crusaders have it here. Two wideouts to the
far side, one to the near. Two backs in the
(31:01):
backfield with Sebastian. Has time. Fires one to the outside.
And this one is incomplete. Tried to hit Zayden Smith.
Good coverage on the outside there by Reed Baker as
he got in there. And for a moment I was
holding my breath. That didn't get picked on that one, Marty.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
Art, would you say very fortunate? Baker needed one more step.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
So it's second down and ten for McDevitt from the
46-yard line. 11-40 left to play in the first half.
Two wideouts to the far side. Smith and Jonte are
out there, I believe, for McDevitt. And they'll run this
one up the middle. They'll take this one down to
the 44-yard line to a short game of about three.
That was Caden Walker. It'll be third and seven for
(31:48):
Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (31:49):
One of the few times, well, thus far, they've had
maybe seven or eight carries. But One of the rare
times that there was not a push and there was
not enough, you know, for Walker to get started.
Speaker 7 (32:02):
So it's now a third and long for the Crusaders.
Speaker 3 (32:05):
It's like Frankie Brescia checked into the game for Bishop McDevitt.
Coming out is Leighton Black. They have three wideouts to
the far side. Brescia's the wideout on the near side here.
One back in the backfield. Sebastian will dump this one off.
Speaker 4 (32:20):
Quickly to the outside to Walker. He's got the first down.
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Inside to 35 and down to the 31-yard line. Another
well-designed play there by Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (32:30):
Just a quick screen.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
They let that whole right side, the whole right side,
left to left side of their defense just come. And
Sebastian Williams just put it out there for Walker. Walker
just turned on the Jets. He had to beat a
couple of guys to get the first down and then
get out of bounds.
Speaker 7 (32:48):
So nice job. You're talking about these good calls. It's
another good call. We've seen a lot of variety.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
Out of this Bishop McDevitt offense.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Russia checks out for Bishop McDevitt. Crusaders with two wideouts
to the near side, one to the far. Sebastian back
to pass. Fires a bullet over the middle. It's tipped
into the air and intercepted, but I think that's pass
interference because it looked like Smith was hit before the
ball was there, and there are flags down. There's a
flag down in the second area. I mean, they hit
(33:20):
him in the back where the ball was there, and
that's what the call is going to be.
Speaker 6 (33:23):
Yeah, it was going to be interference, and it was
one of those, Art, where you didn't get too excited.
You knew the ball was going to get picked off.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:29):
Because it went like 10 feet near. There was only
three or four white jerseys there. But I saw the
flag come out. I was pretty certain on the interference,
but sometimes you think you're going to get it and
you don't.
Speaker 7 (33:42):
In this case, they did.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
I was going to say, if it was my old
Cowboys defense, there could be four guys there, and they
would find a way for the ball to drop in.
I'm hoping the Cowboys have a better team.
Speaker 7 (33:52):
This year, Marty. The only.
Speaker 6 (33:55):
Way they couldn't get picked hard is if one of
the defenders thought they were playing volleyball, and he spiked it.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Right.
Speaker 7 (34:01):
Because that was just up there saying, you know, here
I am, take me.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
So they'll spot that one right on the 15-yard line.
So it's first and 10, Bishop McDevitt, 10.39 left to play.
First half is the Crusaders drive towards the Derry Street
end of the field. Frankie Brescia's back in there now
to wide out for Bishop McDevitt over on the far side.
Speaker 7 (34:19):
Got single coverage over here, Art.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
One back behind Sebastian, and they will run it to him.
And that is number seven. That's McFarlane. He takes a
couple of shots in there and does a nice job
just to hang on to that thing, Marty.
Speaker 7 (34:33):
Yeah, it was just a little bit of delay. If
he breaks the initial hit, he's going to get outside
and go. But that.
Speaker 6 (34:43):
That linebacker coming here was able to hold him up
enough that he couldn't get away and get outside.
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Xavier Powell was in there for McDevitt. He checks out.
A lot of new names here for Bishop McDevitt that
we're calling here this year. Zaden Smith goes out on
the far side. Frankie Brescia out there as well. They
have one wide out here on the near side. That's Hansley.
Sebastian awaits the snap. He fakes the handoff, fires one
(35:10):
over the middle, and this one was just a little
bit behind Hansley on his shoulder there, and the defender
was there as well, and it's incomplete. It was there,
just a little bit behind him there on that one, Marty.
Speaker 6 (35:25):
Yeah, big play here, Art. You want to keep this
thing alive. You don't want to come away with no points.
You've got a new field goal kicker, so if you
don't get anything on this, here's a timeout by McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
McDevitt will take a timeout. Let's take one as well.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
All right, welcome back to Rockwell-Tenzio Stadium here at Fish
and McDevitt High School. 7-7 game, 9.50 left to play
first half. McDevitt with a third down and nine at
the Good Council 14-yard line as the Crusaders drive towards
the Derry Street end of the field. And, Marty, that
sun finally behind the trees here now, and it's just
a beautiful skyline and a gorgeous night here at Rockwell-Tenzio Stadium.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
And glad to get those sunglasses off, and it even
makes you feel cooler.
Speaker 7 (36:55):
As you take them off.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
Jontae Quick goes in motion from the near side to
the far. Sebastian back to pass. There's a screen pass
to the outside.
Speaker 7 (37:01):
Walker. Ten.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
Five.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Touchdown.
Speaker 7 (37:04):
Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
Another great play call from the Crusaders. And the Crusaders
go up 13-7. 9-44 left to play here in the
first half.
Speaker 7 (37:14):
Well, Art, Sebastian Williams stood in there tall.
Speaker 6 (37:17):
Knew he was going to take the lick on the
screen and just dumps it out to Walker.
Speaker 7 (37:23):
And Art.
Speaker 6 (37:25):
We've talked over the years about how Coach Wechter likes
to run screens, does really well with them, and it
looks like this year already that we're going to see
a plethora of screens and different types of screens.
Speaker 7 (37:38):
Out of Mish McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Lelinda on to attempt the extra point, and they do
kick this one up and through, and the Crusaders go
up 14-7 now, 9.44 left to play first half. Let's
take our second break here in the second quarter. McDevitt
up 14-7. You're listening to Bishop McDevitt Football here on

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Thanks for listening to Bishop McDevitt Football.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
Now, back to the field.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
All right, welcome back to Rockwell Tenzio Stadium here at
Bishop McDevitt High School. Crusaders now back ahead of good counsel,
14-7 on the Sebastian Williams green pass touchdown. The walker
about 14 yards out. That It was a 12-play, 83-yard
drive there, Marty. So here come the Crusaders. Lulinda will
(39:00):
kick this one off, and this one will be caught
at about the 5-yard line by good counsel by Baker.
Baker back to the 20, comes to the outside, and
Baker will be tackled down at around the 28-yard line.
Flags come flying down on that one. Eliza Sherman on
a tackle, I believe, and we'll see what the penalty is.
Speaker 6 (39:20):
Ethan Miller was sort of saying that he thought he
was held or something, and actually it's going to go
against McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
It looked like he signaled like a block in the back,
but it was against McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
Yeah, it's a hold. I mean, the initial signal was.
Let's see. He just did a block in the back.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
That's what I said. He did the first time. He
said block in the back on the team kicking off.
Speaker 7 (39:52):
Rocking the back against good counsel.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
There's some confusion there. They've signaled it twice against McDevitt,
but it's actually against good counsel.
Speaker 6 (40:03):
Yeah, Mike Barrett, one of the D coaches, he was
out there asking the ref here in the near side, like,
what's going on?
Speaker 7 (40:11):
It's not making sense. And it was not.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
So it takes good counsel back to inside their 20.
Speaker 3 (40:19):
All right, so it's first and ten from the 18
as good counsel drives towards the Union deposit end of
the field here. And they will race, fix the handoff,
kind of fire one down the field. Good coverage by McDevitt,
and this is incomplete. They tried to fire it down
the field. DeVar Chance over on the sideline over there.
Speaker 7 (40:38):
And Elijah Sherman ended up with double coverage. They only
sent one guy into the pattern. He had time.
Speaker 6 (40:48):
But again, he was going to his left, Art. Made
it a little tough to throw that deep out.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Tried to go to Justin Thomas on that pass. So
it's second and ten from the 18-yard line. 9.28 left
to play first half. Bishop McDevitt up 14-7 over Good Counsel.
Corey Smith Jr., the wide out on the near side.
And Thomas, the wide out on the far side for
(41:15):
the Falcons of Good Counsel.
Speaker 4 (41:18):
Rice.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
does that clap with his hands to try and get
McDevitt to jump off sides, but instead they'll have to
take a timeout. We'll keep things here with McDevitt up
14-7 and 9-28 left to play in the first half.
If your business or nonprofit could use a boost, Steve
Vigella's strategy provides effective online marketing, press websites, powerful SEO,

(42:06):
All right, so McDevitt up 14-7, 9-28, left to play
first half, second and 10 from the 18-yard line for
the Eagles. McDevitt defense making its way back onto the
field here.
Speaker 7 (42:16):
The game is on this card.
Speaker 3 (42:19):
I think the Crusaders can force a turnover here. Really
sees momentum of this game. And the second down and 10.
Two wideouts to the near side, one to the far.
Rice shotgun formation with one back to his right. McDevitt
threatens a blitz. And Rice will hand this one off
(42:40):
on the near side. And it's a good run to
the outside out here by a number 22 that scales McDevitt.
Gets up to about the 28-yard line. And I believe
they're going to move the chains. It was just enough
for a first down. Gain of about 11.
Speaker 6 (42:55):
Layton, that black came from the whole other side of
the field. The track got down from behind.
Speaker 7 (43:00):
Good thing he did.
Speaker 6 (43:01):
He used the speed to catch the running back because
there was a lot of green in front.
Speaker 4 (43:06):
Balls at.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
The 29-yard line. Falcons... Looking over to the coaching staff
over in the far sideline, and I think they're going
to have to take another timeout. And that appears to
be the case. 8.55 left to play still in the
(43:30):
first half. McDevitt up 14-7 now.
Speaker 7 (43:32):
It was not a timeout.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
The officials had a clock thing, so good counsel was
going off to the side thinking it was a full timeout,
and it was just the officials needing to square something away.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
One wide out to each side of the field. Rice
with one back in the backfield. Now Rice will do
a quick pitch to the outside, out there to Alston.
Alston turns the corner and gets up to about the
38-yard line. So a nice run there by the Falcons.
Got about eight or nine on that one.
Speaker 6 (44:04):
Yeah, and unfortunately, Art, on the far side, one of
the far side back men came in to get to
the point of attack and let that play get outside.
Speaker 7 (44:16):
And that ends up a big gain for good counsel.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
Second and one for the Falcons at the 38 as
they go left to right from the press box side
of things here. And here's another handoff for the Falcons.
And again, another nice run up to about the 45-yard line.
I think that was Alston again. This will be a
first down for the Falcons and a gain of about seven.
Speaker 7 (44:40):
So if you're Bishop McDevitt, Art, I think you want
quick clock here because they're certainly outnumbered as far as
just bodies. How deep they go, we don't know.
Speaker 6 (44:53):
McDevitt right now, not that deep. So, you know, you
don't want to get worn down for that second hand.
Speaker 3 (45:01):
First 10 and 10, Falcons from their own 46. 7.58
left to play first to have McDevitt up 14-7. Two
wide outs to the far side, one in the air.
Rice checks his arm pad for the play. Now he
fakes the pitch, fires one to the outside, and this
one is incomplete. It might have been tipped, tried to
hit Thomas out there, and it was kind of bobbling
(45:23):
through the air. Thomas unable to catch it.
Speaker 6 (45:25):
Brian Stewart was coming hard there, and actually probably a
break for good counsel there because if he catches that,
he's going to get nailed and possibly not hold on.
Speaker 7 (45:36):
To the football.
Speaker 3 (45:37):
McDevitt was going to blow that play up. 2nd and
10 from the 46, so a good defensive play there
for the Crusaders. Corey Smith Jr., the lone wideout on
the near side here. Going in motion is Altooner, and
they'll hand this one off, and McDevitt gets in there,
(45:59):
and a nice run there by the Falcons. And some
heavy blocking down the field by the Falcons further down
the field. Now a penalty flag comes flying out. Because
they were blocking Leighton Black way down the field with
two blockers.
Speaker 7 (46:15):
But that was over.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
Right.
Speaker 6 (46:17):
And then a McDevitt D-back just came and bumped one
of those two guys. I mean, there was going to
be no penalty on anybody.
Speaker 7 (46:26):
And as soon as he.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
As.
Speaker 7 (46:29):
Soon as he bumped... Now we'll see. They're going to
talk it over, but... I saw the flag come out
as soon as he went down there.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
They're still talking things over. The run got to about
the 45-yard line of McDevitt, and we'll see if this
is fouls on each team. It's a personal foul, McDevitt,
and that's all that they're going to call. So a
costly penalty on McDevitt on that one. The only thing
I'll say, there was a little... You could say there
(47:03):
was a little excessive celebration after the two guys were
blocking the McDevitt player. You could have called something potentially
on that, and that kind of led to McDevitt's response
to that. But that's not how the officials saw it.
(47:24):
So it'll be first down and 10 at the 30-yard
line of Bishop McDevitt. 7-14 left to play first half.
One wide out to each side of the field. Rice
looks over to his coach, now goes back under center.
Rice back to pass. Here comes a pressure dumps one
over the middle, and this one is incomplete. And Rice
very fortunate that McDevitt didn't duck in there and pick
(47:45):
that off, because if they did, they would have taken
that one to the house, but it just falls harmlessly
to the ground. But good pressure there by Bishop McDevitt, Marty.
Speaker 6 (47:52):
And Elijah Sherman there on the backside of it. If
the ball would have been thrown a little better, he
might have had an opportunity.
Speaker 7 (48:00):
To get it.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
Second and ten at the 37 minutes exactly left in
the first half McDevitt up 14-7. Press goes out on
the far side as a wide out. Again it's Smith
on the near side with Thomas for the Falcons. And
(48:26):
late substitution here for Bishop McDevitt as Konama comes into
the game for the Crusaders.
Speaker 7 (48:31):
I think they're allowing this because it was an equipment thing.
Speaker 3 (48:36):
Rice in the shotgun. He's got one back to his left.
Rice back to pass. Going to air one out down
the field. And a nice defensive play for Bishop McDevitt
over on the far side over there. I think that's
DeVar Chance on that one, Marty.
Speaker 7 (48:48):
It is DeVar Chance. And Chance made a nice play there.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Couldn't play it any better. Neck and neck with the
wide out and just reached up and batted it down.
And now it's 3rd and 10 with 6.54 left to
play in the first half. This is what we talked about.
McDevitt with an opportunity to get off the field here.
You got him in a 3rd and long here. Two
plays to try and stop him. Again, two wideouts to
(49:18):
the near side. Again, that's Thomas and Smith.
Speaker 7 (49:22):
Some confusion on this Crusader side defensively.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
Rice back to pass. Here comes the pressure. Running for
his life. He's just going to throw one to the outside.
That's got to be grounding.
Speaker 7 (49:36):
The head ref is coming up, and he's going to consult.
Speaker 6 (49:39):
With one of the back judges here because he wants
to know what they saw.
Speaker 3 (49:46):
It's not going to be.
Speaker 4 (49:47):
No.
Speaker 7 (49:48):
Did not see anybody.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
I think you were closer to any of the wide
receivers on that one, Marty.
Speaker 7 (49:57):
But I would have dropped it.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
So it's 4th and 10 at the 30. They're going
to go for it. 6.45 left to play first half.
Three wide outs to the near side, one to the far.
Rice in the shotgun formation, one back, trying to get
McDevitt to jump again with that slap, clap of the hands.
Rice back to pass. Here comes the pressure.
Speaker 5 (50:17):
Don't turn over the middle, and Bishop McDevitt intercepts it
at the 35-yard line. Now a penalty flag comes flying in,
but no matter what happened, it should be after the play.
Speaker 3 (50:27):
McDevitt picked it off. They ran it back to the
39-yard line.
Speaker 7 (50:39):
That's Princeton-Kanama, the way I read the number, Art, and
he's been involved in a lot.
Speaker 3 (50:45):
And it's against good counsel, and they give McDevitt a
sideline warning. But when the dust settles, Crusaders with another
huge stop, Marty.
Speaker 7 (50:56):
A big stop, big stop.
Speaker 3 (50:59):
6.38 left to play first half. McDevitt retains a 14-7 lead,
and now the Crusaders offense with a chance to Go
down the field, and the penalty is they're marking this
thing off all the way down to the 45-yard line
of the Falcons.
Speaker 7 (51:12):
It occurred to McDevitt, 40, so they get to 15.
Speaker 6 (51:14):
The official's courtesy enough to put McDevitt in good counsel's field,
side of the field.
Speaker 7 (51:23):
Art, I would definitely look for.
I'm throwing to the end zone here on first down.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
Maybe a deep ball to Zayden Smith on the near
side of single coverage. Sebastian back to pass. Now he scrambles.
Looking down the field, still scrambles. Now he'll fire one,
and this one is almost caught, thankfully not intercepted, and
falls harmlessly to the ground around the 30-yard line. Sebastian
(51:52):
hit on that one when he released it.
Speaker 7 (51:55):
Yeah, he was. Sebastian wanted to go to the inside
route and just didn't feel good about it. Pumped it,
held on to it, then rolled out a little bit more.
Speaker 6 (52:05):
Looked at it again. It wasn't there. And then he,
at that point, he had to get it rid of it.
Fortunately for McDevitt, it was not picked off. He took
a hit on it.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
Second and ten from the 45. Two wide outs to
the near side. Crusaders will run this one. And they
will take this one down to about the 42-yard line.
As that's Caden Walker. McDevitt will have a third down
and seven. 6-15 left to play first half. 14-7 lead
for McDevitt. Huge play here, obviously, Marty.
Speaker 7 (52:32):
Yeah, Walker out, laid in black in. Creighton Milch comes out.
Speaker 3 (52:42):
Zayden Smith and Jaunte Quick on the near side for
Bishop McDevitt. Holton Jr. on the far side. One back
in the backfield. I think that is McFarlane. Here's a
quick pass to the outside. This is caught down to
the 37-yard line down here by number three, Hansley. Going
to be short of the first down, but interesting decision
(53:03):
here for Coach Wechter as McDevitt faces a fourth down
and About three.
Speaker 7 (53:07):
Well, you know, I'll get it wrong, but I think
you've got to go, and I think he ran that if.
Speaker 6 (53:11):
He, just to get some additional yards, makes it a
very manageable something. You can do something real quick at
fourth and three here.
Speaker 3 (53:20):
One of those quick screen passes has been working real
well here tonight. We'll see what they come up with here.
As the Crusaders send two wideouts to the far side,
Holton is on the near side. It's fourth down and
three McDevitt at the 38-yard line. Sebastian surveys the play
here comes a pressure fires one of the outside and
(53:40):
jonte quick can't come down with it but pass interference
is going to be called is he a defensive back
never looked back for the ball no.
Speaker 6 (53:48):
He didn't he was actually tackling him before uh the
ball got there and that was a uh a.
Speaker 7 (53:55):
Big play for the crusaders.
Speaker 6 (53:59):
Once again under pressure sebastian williams threw a really nice ball.
Speaker 3 (54:02):
Art Yep, it was where it needed to be, and
Jontae actually almost caught that, even with the defender all
over him. That'll move the ball inside the 25-yard line
down to the 23.
Speaker 7 (54:14):
Second pass interference here in his first half against good counsel.
Speaker 3 (54:22):
Five minutes left to play. First half, McDevitt up 14-7.
Jontae quick, and Zayden Smith out on the far side.
I think that's Holton on the near side. And McDevitt
will run this one up the middle. And that's McFarland
inside the 25. And he gets down to about the
19-yard line. Gets four on the carry for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (54:46):
That's a nice good first down. Nice burst there by McFarland.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
Caden Walker is going to check back in for Bishop
McDevitt as McFarland checks out. Clock ticking down here. Four
and a half minutes left to play first half.
Speaker 7 (55:02):
That's one thing you want to do. You want to
keep those running backs fresh, keep using them, and wear
down the defense on the other side.
Speaker 3 (55:11):
Two wide outs to the far side for McDevitt, and
two to the near. One back in the backfield. That's Walker.
Going in motion is Holton, and they fire one outside
to Holton, and this one's just too high. Tried to
come down and make an acrobatic catch, just unable to
come down with that one.
Speaker 7 (55:28):
That pattern....
Speaker 6 (55:31):
Because of where the ball was on this side of
the field, it was a very long pattern.
Speaker 7 (55:36):
Sebastian missed him. He missed him, but it was a
tough one. It would have been a great completion.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
So that makes it third down and six from the 19.
4-11 left to play first half. McDevitt threatening in the
red zone here as we approach halftime. As the teams
are going to take a timeout, we'll keep things here.

Learn more at selectmedical.com. All right, here come the Crusaders
back onto the field. It's third down and six from
the 19-yard line. Three wideouts to the far side. Sebastian,
shotgun formation. One back in the backfield. Sebastian has time.
Speaker 4 (57:10):
Fires one. He's got a man.
Speaker 5 (57:11):
And it's caught for a Bishop McDevitt touchdown over in
the corner of the end zone over there.
Speaker 4 (57:16):
And I think that was... Jaunte quick it is.
Speaker 3 (57:19):
And Bishop McDevitt goes up 20-7 with 4 of 5
left to play in the first half.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
That was simply amazing. I mean... They had three receivers
out on that side. I think they screened for each other.
Speaker 6 (57:32):
And at the last second, Jonte is breaking pretty much
by himself to that corner of the end zone. And
Sebastian Williams puts a perfect pass there.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
Lelinda Ono attempt the extra point for Bishop McDevitt. And
the kick, it's a line drive kick, and it is good.
So 4-0-5 left to play here in the first half.
And Bishop McDevitt has taken a 21-7 lead over Good Counsel.
And the Crusaders were really impressive tonight. Their only points
(58:03):
they've given up were on a pick six. And Bishop
McDevitt up 21-7. If economy businesses need an edge to

That's stevestrategies.com, stevestrategies.com, stevestrategies.com. All right, McDevitt up 21-7, 4.05
(58:52):
left to play first half.
Speaker 6 (58:55):
Art, I want to point out that the last kickoff
by Dave Lulinda was down about the 3-yard line. His
first one was a little, almost a pooch to the 30,
but that second one he drilled.
Speaker 3 (59:07):
And here's the kick. This one's high. a little shorter
this one will be caught at the 16 they bring
it to the 20 they cut outside and McDevitt with
good special teams coverage in there as they take them
down and that was Justin Thomas on the kick return
there for the Falcons So big opportunity. McDevitt can finish
(59:33):
this first half strong. And he can go into the
locker room with at least a two-touchdown lead. He'll be
feeling great here in this first half.
Speaker 6 (59:43):
Well, McDevitt gets the turnover and capitalizes on it.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
Ball was at the 27-yard line, first down and 10.
The Falcons drive towards the Union deposit end of the field.
Bishop McDevitt just extremely impressive so far. Got to finish
this game here. They'll bring a man in motion. Now
(01:00:11):
they'll pitch to him in the backfield on the near
side over here. That's Alston, and Alston is tackled down
in the backfield at the 25-yard line. Now a penalty
flag comes flying in on the near side.
Speaker 6 (01:00:23):
Ethan Miller with a nice play on that, Art. Kept
that to about a, well, maybe no.
Speaker 7 (01:00:29):
Gain at all.
Speaker 3 (01:00:32):
Didn't see what the call was.
Speaker 7 (01:00:33):
Flag came. Two players tangled up.
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
They talk things over here. Flag is lying at the
27-yard line on the near side. Personal foul. And that's
going to be on each team. So nullifying penalties. Ball
stays on the 26-yard line. It'll be second down and 11,
(01:01:04):
so the good play stands there for Bishop McDevitt. 3.49
left to play first half.
Speaker 6 (01:01:12):
Art, Prince of Canaan 5'8, 185. I'm sorry, 215. And
he is making his presence felt on the defense.
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Two backs in the backfield surround Rice as Corey Smith
goes in motion. Rice back to pass. He is blown
up as he dumps that pass off on the near side. And,
I mean, Rice took a shot in the backfield back
at the 16-yard line. So they do pick up some
yards here at the 28th. They'll mark it there, and
(01:01:43):
it'll be third down. And that McDevitt defense got in
there on that one, Marty.
Speaker 7 (01:01:48):
I think it was Zayden Smith coming from that defensive
right-hand position, and he flew in there.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
Rice is going to be filling that one tomorrow. I
can guarantee you that. Boy, that was a shot. Two
wideouts to the near side for the Falcons. One to
the far. Big opportunity for McDevitt on third and nine
to get off the field. 3-27 left to play first half.
It's 21-7 McDevitt. Man in the backfield goes in motion.
Here's a quick pass to the outside. This is caught
at the 32, but well short of the first down
(01:02:17):
as McDevitt gets out here. That was number 13. Press
caught it, but that's all. Fourth and long for the Falcons.
Speaker 7 (01:02:26):
McDevitt needs to hustle. Because the Falcons come on and
they're ready to punt.
Speaker 3 (01:02:33):
Number 42 Spahr back at his 17-yard line.
Speaker 7 (01:02:37):
We watched Spahr doing the warm-ups. He was long and
he was high. What you want from a punter.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
The punt is blocked. And it's intercepted in the air
by Bishop McDevitt. And they will run this one back
down the field. That's Kanama, I believe. Takes it back
to the 7-yard line.
Speaker 7 (01:02:55):
As I said, he's making his presence felt.
Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
I was looking down the field to see DeVar Chance
back deep for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (01:03:02):
But there is a flag here back in what would
have been the McDevitt secondary. So we don't know what
that's going to be.
Speaker 7 (01:03:08):
And I hope it doesn't negate that block.
Speaker 6 (01:03:11):
Because if it doesn't, McDevitt's in great shape here. Referees
standing at the 12-yard line and they're waiting.
Speaker 7 (01:03:20):
Those two refs are confirmed. The one's telling the other
it's going against McDevitt.
Speaker 3 (01:03:27):
Now, if it's an offsides penalty on McDevitt, that might
be a first down. That's a legal substitution against McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (01:03:39):
Remember when I said McDevitt was congratulating each other on
that third down play?
Speaker 7 (01:03:45):
And they just weren't getting up and getting ready. I mean,
that's a responsibility of some coaches. Special teams, whatever it is,
you know, it is what it is. And you've got
to have your guys ready. But I saw it.
Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
That's why I mentioned it. McDevitt was over here in
this near sideline just kind of just relaxing, congratulate each
other on.
Speaker 7 (01:04:14):
The tackle.
Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
That makes it fourth down and inches. And good council's
offense looks like it's going to try and go for
it here. I'll bet you they do everything they can
to get McDevitt to jump here. Rice under center. And
Rice will push forward and I think he's got the
(01:04:38):
first down and obviously a huge momentum changer on that one.
So Rice picks up the first down. Three minutes left
to play first half so Instead of McDevitt taking over
a 21-7 with the ball at the 13-yard line, it's
first down and 10 for Good Counsel. Still an opportunity
(01:05:00):
for McDevitt's defense to get off the field. 2.50 left
to play first half. It's first and 10, Good Counsel
from their own 38 as they drive towards the Union
deposit end of the field. Two wide outs to each
side of the field for the Falcons. McDevitt threatens the blitz.
Rice back to pass. Here comes the pressure.
Speaker 7 (01:05:18):
And Rice is sacked.
Speaker 4 (01:05:20):
That's the 23-yard line. And I believe that was Kanama
again in there for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (01:05:27):
Creighton-Milch. It was Creighton-Milch.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Creighton-Milch got in there. Loss of 13 on that one, Marty.
That is exactly what the doctor ordered if you're Bishop
McDevitt after that deflating sequence of events.
Speaker 7 (01:05:45):
Now, if you're McDevitt here, if.
Speaker 6 (01:05:48):
They don't get a substantial gain, then I'm thinking you're
going to take a timeout.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Yeah, they got all three left. And now.
Speaker 7 (01:05:56):
Got a cramp over there.
Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
Yeah, player down at the 20-yard line.
Speaker 7 (01:06:00):
That's actually QB Jackson Rice.
Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
So McDevitt up 21-7. Mission McDevitt Football is brought to

(01:06:28):
morning at 10 on our sister station, News Radio, WHP 580.
Green Spring Advisors is an SEC-registered investment advisor. So to
reset the situation, we have two minutes left to play
in the first half. McDevitt up 21-7 here at Rockortenzio Stadium.
Crusaders open the scoring in this game with a long drive,
(01:06:49):
seven plays, 62 yards. A five-yard touchdown pass from Sebastian
Williams to Zayden Smith. McDevitt was up seven zip. And
then the Falcons put together a long drive. McDevitt stopped
them on fourth and short. And then after a delay,
a game penalty, Sebastian Williams threw a pick six to
land in the wall to tie the game at seven.
Crusaders came right back, though, in the second quarter. A 12-play,
(01:07:11):
83-yard drive and a 14-yard screen pass touchdown. The Caden Walker,
McDevitt was up 14-7. And then 4-0-5 left to play
here in the first half. Again, Sebastian Williams, a 19-yard
touchdown pass to Jontae Quick, put McDevitt up 21-7. Crusaders
blocked a punt and looked like they were going to
have great field position. At the 13-yard line, they got
(01:07:33):
called for an illegal substitution. It ended up being a
fourth down and one, which Rice was able to push
forward for the first down for the Falcons. But as
McDevitt gets a big sack here and makes it now
second and 23 from the 25-yard line, two minutes left
to play in this first half. They start the clock here,
(01:07:54):
a minute 54, three wideouts.
Speaker 4 (01:07:57):
To the far side.
Speaker 3 (01:08:01):
And they will run this one up the middle. And
that is number three, Alston. Looks like they brought in
a new quarterback on that one, Marty. Cagliandolo.
Speaker 7 (01:08:14):
Yeah, well, Rice was the one who had cramped up.
Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:08:17):
So.
Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
So they fool McDevitt on the run as the Crusaders,
thinking they're going to pass. And they run the ball
there with the backup quarterback. And they pick up the
first down. So it's first down and 10 at the
40 now. Clock ticks here. Minute 15. McDevitt threatens the blitz.
Here comes the blitz. A pass to the outside. Should
(01:08:41):
be incomplete as it was out of bounds as he
tried to hit Corey Smith up here around midfield. Good
coverage there by McDevitt. Now there's a penalty flag back
at the 30. And it's going to be a penalty again.
Bishop McDevitt. Is that roughing the passer? Four-yard line, minute
(01:09:15):
seven left to play here in the first half.
Speaker 7 (01:09:19):
McDevitt has really just kind of put them in a
position to, you know, take some shots at the end
zone in this last minute.
Speaker 3 (01:09:26):
Yeah, I mean, they get the backup quarterback in there
and they fool McDevitt with a run. And then a pass,
a rough in the passer call for 15 yards. Two
wide outs to the far side. McDevitt beating itself here.
Here's a quick pass to the outside. And this one
is caught out here by number four. And that is Smith.
(01:09:48):
Beats his man and takes it down the sideline deeper
into McDevitt territory if a minute left to play.
Speaker 7 (01:09:54):
Yeah, missed tackle there by the Crusaders, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
The Crusaders are really beating themselves here on this last
drive with the illegal substitution.
Speaker 7 (01:10:03):
Chance Holmes is cramping up. He's out.
Speaker 3 (01:10:09):
So McDevitt will get a stoppage of play here with
the cramp. Injury down here in the near side to
Chance Holmes. So that gives McDevitt a chance to regroup here.
Good counsel getting some breaks here on this last drive.
As we mentioned, McDevitt was up 21-7 to get the
blocked punt, but then they get the illegal substitution penalty.
(01:10:33):
Leads to a fourth and short for good counsel. They
pick it up after a big sack from McDevitt. Good
counsel has to bring in the backup quarterback as Rice
went out with Krampen. And McDevitt's defense, you'd think they
would have been ready for the run play there, but anyway,
they pick up the first down, fooled McDevitt's defense, and
(01:10:55):
then a rough in the passing penalty, and then just
another coverage issue out here in the near side. So
it balls at the 32-yard line of Bishop McDevitt. A
minute left to play first half.
Speaker 6 (01:11:11):
I'll belabor this maybe one more time after this. This
goes back to the block punt that McDevitt had the
penalty on. It goes to the play before that because
whether it was coaches, players, and or both, nobody was
getting ready for that punt. So you get a substitution penalty,
illegal substitution.
Speaker 7 (01:11:31):
Well, that's going to happen. You know.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Cogley and Dolo in there, quarterback. They really haven't done
anything real pretty or fancy here. It's just all been
basic stuff. Opportunity for McDevitt's defense to stop him here.
Back to pass. Fires one over the middle, and he's
got his man around the 25 and down to the
22-yard line. And that's his big wide receiver, Corey Smith,
(01:11:57):
and you can see he's tough. 50 seconds left to
play in the half. Clock continues to run as it was.
They did give him the first down on that one.
It falls to the 22. Clock down to 40 seconds.
They have all three timeouts left. I'm surprised they're not
taking one. Three wideouts to the near side, one to
the far for the Falcons. We're down to 30 seconds left.
(01:12:21):
One back in the backfield. And now penalty flags. I
think that's delay game. You have to wonder, I mean,
what are the Falcons doing? You've got three timeouts left.
Speaker 7 (01:12:32):
You've got to wonder how can you get a delay game.
Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
With 24 seconds left in the half and the clock's
ticking down here, you're almost in the red zone and
you don't call a timeout. I mean, I know it's
the first game of the year, but you'd expect a
little bit better from a big-time program.
Speaker 7 (01:12:50):
Yeah, and just.
Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
It just doesn't make any sense with all three timeouts
left watching 10, 15 seconds stick off the clock when
you're moving the ball. And then you get a delay
game penalty on.
Speaker 4 (01:12:59):
Top of it.
Speaker 3 (01:13:03):
Three wideouts to the near side for the Falcons, one
to the far. Alston in the backfield back there with quarterback... Cagliandolo.
Speaker 7 (01:13:13):
And now... They had to take a timeout or they
were going to get another delay of game.
Speaker 3 (01:13:21):
So indeed they do. A minute, or not even a minute,
24 seconds left to play here in the first half.
McDevitt up 21-7. Falcons have now a first down and
15 at the McDevitt 26th. No one plans to get
sick or hurt. It just happens. And when it does,
Select Medical is here to help you heal, restore function,

Speaker 7 (01:14:03):
Sorry about that noise there, Rob.
Speaker 6 (01:14:04):
I was talking with Rob Puglisi came over, and you
said about them having three timeouts. I was pretty certain
McDevitt had taken one, and they had us with three.
And they're over there saying that they've.
Speaker 7 (01:14:17):
Already used all three. So a little error on the scoreboard, apparently.
Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
So 24 seconds left to play.
Speaker 7 (01:14:27):
Still reading three, so they didn't take it off.
Speaker 3 (01:14:32):
McDevitt threatens the blitz. They'll fire one to the outside,
and this one is caught, it looks like, down at
the 12-yard line of Bishop McDevitt with 19 seconds left
to play in the first half. And that should be
enough for a first down.
Speaker 6 (01:14:49):
Bart, we say this often over the games as we
go through the season. Someone needs to make a play.
One of the linemen needs to get in there, or.
Speaker 7 (01:15:02):
You know, we need a broken up pass or a pick.
Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
You need a big sack or something here. 19 seconds
left to play in the half. It's second and one.
They'll fire the fade down here. And the receiver clearly
pushed off. And no flag comes in. Corey Smith just
reached with both arms and pushed the defender away to
create space and catches it for a touchdown.
Speaker 7 (01:15:26):
Yeah, it's kind of like no question.
Speaker 3 (01:15:28):
Just terrible.
Speaker 7 (01:15:29):
Extended both hands.
Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
How do you miss that? I mean, come on. That's
about as blatant offensive pass interference as you're going to
see at the high school game, and the Falcons back
in it, 21-13, 13 seconds left to play in the
first half. Now the flags come out for a false
(01:15:59):
start against the Falcons. I mean that's that's just that's
a tough break for McDevitt tough to swallow Crusaders definitely
committed some well-earned penalties themselves on this drive but that's
about as blatant offensive pass interference as you'll see at
(01:16:20):
any level of football and it's not called and the
extra point is up and it is good so now
13 seconds left to play and what What's really hard
about that for McDevitt is good counsel now, and he
trails by seven, and they will get the ball to
start the second half with momentum now with 13 seconds
left to play in the first half here.
Speaker 7 (01:16:41):
Credit good counsel on a good call down there.
Speaker 6 (01:16:46):
They went with the fade, and it was thrown well,
but you certainly had to pass interference call.
Speaker 3 (01:17:00):
So it's 21-14 McDevitt now with 13 seconds left to play.
I mean, I don't know what the ref is thinking
to even say. I mean, he clearly took two arms,
extended it against the defender, and pushed off. I mean,
what do you say to that? I mean, you're just
(01:17:20):
not doing your job. And I know we could get
criticized a lot, you know, maybe for being hard on
the refs, but that was just not good at all.
So 21-14 McDevitt now. 13 seconds left to play in
the first half.
Speaker 6 (01:17:40):
So really on this, unless McDevitt gets a really long return,
I just take a knee on first down and just,
you know, get to the.
Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
This will be caught at the 1. Crusaders bring it
back to the 10. That's Jontae Quick. Jontae to the outside.
Brings it all the way back to the 29-yard line.
With 7 seconds left to play in the first half and...
Like you said, Marty, I think McDevitt will just take
a knee and be satisfied with a seven-point lead here
at the half. McDevitt up 21-14. We've had some momentum-changing
(01:18:18):
plays in this game. The Crusaders have had three really
nice offensive touchdowns, and the Falcons with a pick six
for a touchdown, and now the Highly questionable touchdown. And
it does appear Sebastian will go in there and take
the knee, and that's what he does. All right, that
(01:18:40):
will end the first half here at Rockwell-Tenzio Stadium. Bishop
McDevitt up 21-14 over a good council as the teams
will head. to the locker room. And we will take
a break, and we'll be back with tonight's halftime show.
You're listening to Bishop McDevitt Football here on Fox Sports
1460 and iHeartRadio.
Speaker 1 (01:19:03):
The 2022 and 2024 state champs play right here on
Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (01:19:10):
All right, welcome back to Rocker 10 P.O. Stadium here
at Bishop McDevitt High School. We're just about ready for
third quarter action as the Crusaders returning to the field here.
The 21-14 lead is they will have to kick off
to start this second half to the Good Council Falcons.
(01:19:33):
I mentioned a couple times tonight McDevitt in their dark
blue jerseys, white numbers, gold pants, gold helmets, and the
Falcons of good counsel, the white pants, white jerseys with
the dark blue numbers and the lighter gold helmets. McDevitt
resembles Notre Dame a lot more, and I would say
UCLA is the team that good counsel looks like a
(01:19:55):
little bit more from up here in the press box.
Speaker 6 (01:19:57):
Art, they knew the weather was UCLA weather, so they
said let's put on our UCLA... uniforms that's that's a
good a good find on that art i i didn't
really see that at first but certainly got to uh.
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
I mean that's the best comparison i would.
Speaker 7 (01:20:12):
Say yeah yeah i don't know where you can go
other than.
Speaker 3 (01:20:14):
Yeah so they put the uh three minutes back on
the clock when mcdevitt got out here so we have
uh two minutes here before we uh kick off in
the third quarter next week marty will be over at
landis field vision mcdevitt taking on uh cd east and
uh Obviously, then that sets up the big game before
(01:20:34):
State College, which will be here two weeks from tonight,
and that will be a mammoth game for Bishop McDevitt.
Of course, you look down the road, never want to
overlook anybody, but obviously then the other huge matchup on
the schedule, at least at this point, would be a
game against Harrisburg on October 24th, which is the Saturday
afternoon game here at Rockworth San Diego Stadium. Great opportunity
(01:20:55):
for McDevitt here. Probably weren't the favorite to win this
game by a lot of people's views, And, I mean,
good counsel, a big program from Maryland, a lot of
big players and a deep team. And, you know, they
came up here, McDevitt wanting to win. I mean, they
don't want to get too banged up, you know, in
(01:21:15):
this situation. But, I mean, McDevitt really has been the
better of the two teams in the first half. And
good counsel, very fortunate to only be down seven.
Speaker 7 (01:21:23):
I'm looking at this from the McDevitt point of view
here as you've, except for a couple of really, Unexplainable plays. Penalties.
Where McDevitt is now, you don't want to come away
here with a loss.
Speaker 2 (01:21:41):
Right.
Speaker 6 (01:21:41):
You've made some plays in that first half. Air Wechter
was back in, as we talked about earlier, Air Wechter's
back there.
Speaker 3 (01:21:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:21:52):
Sebastian Williams has done a nice job. Receivers getting open.
Some great screens. Some really good calls. But two plays
that stand out to me. And again, I normally don't
take and say names, so I won't. But a penalty
that was very, very late, that was not going to
(01:22:15):
go against good counsel, although a couple of their guys
were blocking down on one of our guys. But a
play where you just come up and you purposely bump
into a player. Like 30 seconds almost, not 30, 15
seconds after the play is over.
Speaker 7 (01:22:31):
It costs you a big penalty. And the other one
was the one I pointed out right away, Art.
Speaker 6 (01:22:36):
McDevitt gets a good stop on third down. And it's
over here in front of the McDevitt bench. And I'm
looking down and half the team is kind of like
standing there. They're not going back on defense to the
line of scrimmage. Good counsel is already on the way
out with their punting team. And that is the play.
Speaker 7 (01:22:56):
And it's easy for me to see how it happened.
Speaker 6 (01:23:00):
Because I'm not sure who knew what down it was,
who knew whether they were punting or what. But McDevitt
gets a penalty, blocks the kick, and returns it to
the 13. But instead they get the penalty for an
illegal substitution. You can't let that happen.
Speaker 3 (01:23:19):
We'll see if Jackson Rice is back in at quarterback
here in the third quarter. It looked like he was
just cramping up, but it was enough to take him
out for that old last drive of the first half there.
They had to bring in Luca Coglian-Dolo. He took him
down the field there for that touchdown.
Speaker 6 (01:23:42):
And I will give you Art McDevitt. Gets really hurt
on what really looked like it was offensive pass interference
on the touchdown. Just the receiver extended both arms and
pushed the defender.
Speaker 7 (01:23:55):
Pushed off on him.
Speaker 3 (01:23:57):
So Lelinda will kick off towards the Derry Street end
of the field here for Bishop McDevitt to start the
third quarter. And it's a good high line drive kick
that this one will sail into the end zone for
a touchback as Thomas just runs back and fills that
one in his end zone. And a nice kick there
by Lelinda to start the third quarter, Marty.
Speaker 6 (01:24:14):
Excellent job. McDevitt really needed that. And as they say,
that's out of here.
Speaker 3 (01:24:21):
Unfortunately, a McDevitt player cramping up now down there in
around the 22-yard line. until they're stretching his leg out.
We'll call it a cramp. The Crusaders make their way
over here to the sideline. We'll start the third quarter
here with McDevitt up 21-14. Good counsel. Falcons driving towards
(01:24:42):
the Union deposit end of the field. Start the third quarter.
McDevitt's defense has really done a good job. Just the
penalties on that last drive really hurt them.
Speaker 7 (01:24:54):
Art, on your.
You know, if we go back into our archives here,
just tradition-wise, you get a lot of cramps at the
beginning of the second half. You know, guys just tighten
up immediately.
Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Especially in a situation there where it's a good competitive game, too,
where you're really working hard. I mean, you're just going
to have this. There's not much you can do about it.
McDevitt up 21-14 as no time ran off the clock
as the kickoff was a touchback and now they know
(01:25:34):
how that feels. Get those cramps that just walking it
off pretty good as he gets to the near sideline here.
That's Ethan Miller I believe for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (01:25:49):
Yeah, you're hoping he can get back out there real quick.
Speaker 3 (01:25:52):
Alright, so here come the Falcons. First down and 10
from their own 20. Looking to see who is in
their quarterback. Does look like they still have the backup
in there. Cogliandolo. Maybe a little bit more than a
(01:26:13):
cramp for Rice there. They just wanted to change things up.
Now the teams will come to their respective sidelines here.
If you have the cramp delay game and now somebody
take a time out. Coach Wechter over here looking for
(01:26:40):
an explanation as to what's going on here.
Speaker 6 (01:26:45):
Well, the ref came over to Connor Marsico, athletic director,
and said something to him. Connor pulled his phone out
right away and called somebody. I hope you ordered me
a milkshake.
Speaker 3 (01:27:00):
You got your lemonade tonight, Marty. That's about going to
take place, I think.
Speaker 7 (01:27:09):
Yeah, one of the fans was kind enough to give
us a, you know, bring some lemonades up into the booth.
Speaker 3 (01:27:18):
So, Connor is walking with the official over to the
far sideline, it appears. As on now, the coach coming
at her maybe some kind of an equipment issue or
something do we have an injury issue on the far
side just speculating here oh i think we have an
(01:27:43):
official down art okay yeah it's over on the far sideline.
Speaker 7 (01:27:49):
No he's actually not hurt though oh it is equipment
i think it is the chains Yeah, that's what they're
working on at the chains.
Speaker 3 (01:28:02):
So a slow start for the third quarter with the
equipment issue, the cramping injury, and a kickoff for a touchback.
Speaker 7 (01:28:14):
Especially considering how fast that first half was, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:28:20):
It was, and then it slowed down a little bit.
Some penalties and things going on there. So they still
continue to work on things over there on the far
side now. Connor Marsico and the official walking their way
back towards the McClure. side of things here.
Speaker 7 (01:28:43):
Okay, so Connor called for another chain. It looks like
somebody just came out. I thought he was going to
grab a set of chains out of the back, but
he's not.
Speaker 3 (01:28:56):
Connor has his headset back on as he makes his
way back here, and I think we're ready for play.
And we are. So first and 10 from the 20.
They have one wide out to each side of the field,
one back in the backfield. And they will run this
one to the far side out there, and it's a
(01:29:17):
nice run out there by number three, Alston. And Alston
brings it up to the 38-yard line. Since the quarterback change,
they really haven't done anything really fancy, but it's worked
for them. Some McDevitt penalties and a couple of runs.
(01:29:38):
Now a McDevitt player limping off the sideline again with
a cramping issue here, it looks like.
Speaker 7 (01:29:44):
Matthew Wynn, a sophomore, comes in there.
Speaker 3 (01:29:48):
First and ten from the 38. Here's a pitch to
the near side. And McDevitt gets over there and stops
this one as that was Justin Thomas on the run,
but he does pick up four. He's knocked down over
here in the near side. Brian Stewart was in there
for McDevitt. So it'll be second down and seven from
(01:30:13):
the 41. 11-10 left to play in the third. McDevitt
up 21-14.
Speaker 6 (01:30:24):
The running game for Good Counsel definitely saw some uptick
towards the end of the second quarter, and they're seeing
some here at the beginning of.
Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
The third quarter.
Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
Two wide outs to the far side, one to the near.
They fake the handoff. Here comes the pressure. The pass
to the outside is caught out there by a number
four Smith, and he's slung to the ground over out
of bounds over there on the far side.
Speaker 7 (01:30:51):
Looks like Elijah Sherman.
Speaker 3 (01:30:55):
Yes, that's who it was. Number 8 for....
Speaker 7 (01:31:03):
6. Nice short tackle there by Sherman.
Speaker 3 (01:31:11):
So a big opportunity here now for McDevitt. 10-12 left
to play in the 3rd. Crusaders up 21-14. 3rd and
6 from the 42. And they will.
I think the ball was on the ground, and McDevitt
came up with it. And they're going to say, yes,
McDevitt's got the ball. Well, that'll take care of that.
(01:31:34):
So a huge break for Bishop McDevitt on that one, Marty.
Speaker 7 (01:31:38):
I think it was Ethan Miller. I'm not quite sure.
Speaker 3 (01:31:42):
I didn't even see the ball get to the quarterback.
I don't know if it was a direct snap or what,
but it didn't work.
Speaker 7 (01:31:49):
And remember, Ethan Miller had cramped a little. Remember that?
Speaker 6 (01:31:53):
So we're hoping he's not off long because he's a
very important part of that defense.
Speaker 3 (01:32:01):
Crusaders up now 21-14, 10-1 left to play in the
third quarter. Crusaders with three wideouts to the near side,
one to the far. Several players over here they're working
on with cramp issues for McDevitt. And they will run
this one up the middle to McFarland and not much there.
(01:32:22):
One of McDevitt's key players, Zayden Smith, cramping up here
in the near sideline. They're working that cramp out of
the leg, and obviously he's a huge weapon that McDevitt's
missing in the game right now.
Speaker 7 (01:32:32):
Yeah, there's at least two, actually I think I see
three players on their backs cramped.
Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
Second and ten for McDevitt from the 42-yard line. Nine
and a half minutes left to play in the third.
Caden Walker in the backfield for McDevitt. They have three
wideouts to the near side and one to the far. Sebastian,
back to pass. Has some time. Here comes the pressure.
He's got to run it. He's got to 40. He's
got to 35 and tripped up down around the 32-yard line,
(01:33:04):
real close to a first down.
Speaker 7 (01:33:10):
He really held as long as he could. He waited
as long as he could, and then he had to
get it out of there, and they're marking it as
a first down. There they go.
Speaker 3 (01:33:18):
Great play by Sebastian Williams.
Speaker 7 (01:33:20):
It really was.
Speaker 6 (01:33:21):
And the previous play, that first down, that was really
the first time tonight McDevitt just was stopped at the
line of scrimmage on a running play.
Speaker 3 (01:33:29):
Right. So now 8.40 left of play in the third quarter.
Seemed like they were a little late starting the play clock,
but whatever. McDevitt, 30 seconds left on the play clock,
eight and a half minutes left to play in the third.
(01:33:49):
A 21-14 McDevitt lead. The three wide outs go to
the far side this time. One to the near. I
believe that's Caden Walker in the backfield with Sebastian. Sebastian
back to pass. Has Walker wide open.
Speaker 2 (01:34:04):
35.
Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
Puts inside. 30. And Walker gets down to the 27-yard line.
I'll tell you right now, Marty, that kid does not
look like a freshman.
Speaker 7 (01:34:12):
He does not. He does not.
Speaker 6 (01:34:14):
I'm sure you were, like, thinking, hold the ball because
he was getting hit, like, really square in the chest.
Speaker 7 (01:34:20):
And he held on to it. Pick up of.
A long four.
Speaker 6 (01:34:27):
They pick up six on it. Once again, thrown to
a back out of the backfield. You stand there long
enough maybe to just chip a block off and then.
Speaker 7 (01:34:37):
Go out there. Well executed, well designed.
Speaker 3 (01:34:42):
Three wideouts to the near side. Williams back to pass.
Fires one and this one is complete to Jontae Quick.
Down to the 16-yard line. First down and a great
catch there by Jontae. Great throw by Sebastian Williams.
Speaker 7 (01:34:56):
He put it. There was nowhere to throw it except
on the number. And he put it there.
Speaker 6 (01:35:00):
And Jontae got absolutely drilled. I don't know if you
thought I was surprised that he held on to the ball.
Speaker 3 (01:35:06):
Yeah, that's why I was holding my breath to see
that he did.
Speaker 7 (01:35:09):
Because he absolutely got drilled.
Speaker 3 (01:35:13):
The three wideouts to the near side for Bishop McDevitt.
Frankie Brescia in there for Crusaders. A Are they going
to call either a false start or delay a game
on McDevitt?
Speaker 7 (01:35:28):
The way the fans are hollering, I think it's a
delay a game. Oh, that was a legal procedure. Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
So it's first and 15, McDevitt, now back to the 21.
Three wide outs to the far side, one to the near,
one back in the backfield. Or bring a man in motion.
And they will hand this one off to Walker, I believe,
who pushes forward inside the 15-yard line. Gets down to
the 11. Got about 10 on that one, I think, Marty.
Speaker 7 (01:36:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:36:04):
That was Black, actually.
Speaker 6 (01:36:05):
Yeah, Black really was pushing the line. Yeah, I think
we'll call that 10. 9 or 10-yard gain.
Speaker 3 (01:36:17):
I mean.
Speaker 7 (01:36:18):
McDevitt with a chance to put one in here. Once again, Art,
the clock is flying tonight.
Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
6.10 left to play in the third. Sebastian over the
middle and just off the fingertips of Holton Jr. Would
have had a touchdown, and it's incomplete. So now it's
third and five for McDevitt. Clock stops. 6.05 left to
play in the third. McDevitt up 21-14.
Speaker 7 (01:36:41):
He just missed him there, Art. I'll tell you this.
If he catches that ball, The stitches are ripping his
fingers off. That ball was just out of there like
a bullet.
Speaker 3 (01:36:55):
Two wide outs to the far side, one to the near.
Sebastian back to pass. Here comes the pressure, fires one,
and that's going to be a penalty flag for holding,
I would think. Sebastian threw it, went out of the
back of the end zone, looked like a McDevitt player
was being held. And I believe that's what they're going
(01:37:19):
to call. Well, what else are they going to call here? Okay,
the hold call. After that play at the end of
the first quarter, if that's not called there, I don't
(01:37:41):
think there would have been very many happy people in
the stadium. So it's first and goal, McDevitt at the five.
Six minutes exactly left to play in the third. Crusaders
up 21-14. Three wide outs to the far side. I
think Walker's back in the game for McDevitt, standing to
the left of Sebastian.
Speaker 7 (01:38:02):
Here they come.
Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
Rolls to the right. He's got him out there. Walker
catches it at the five. Takes it into the corner
and walks into the end zone for a Bishop McDevitt touchdown.
And the Crusaders go up. 27-14 with 5.53 left to
play in the third quarter.
Speaker 7 (01:38:18):
Once again, a great call.
Speaker 6 (01:38:21):
Sebastian Williams stands there under the rush of the defensive line.
You know what he's doing this first game here? I'm
not saying he hasn't done it before, but particularly tonight,
he is seeing the receivers.
Speaker 7 (01:38:35):
He's not seeing the rush. Right. You know, he knows
it's coming, but he is seeing the receivers.
Speaker 3 (01:38:42):
Lelinda on to attempt the extra point. Couldn't draft the holder,
and the kick is up, and it is good. So
McDevitt back up 28-14, 5.53 left to play in the third.
We'll take a timeout. You're listening to Bishop McDevitt Football

Speaker 1 (01:39:34):
This is Bishop McDevitt Football 2026 on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (01:39:44):
An 8-play, 42-yard drive by Bishop McDevitt capped off on
the Sebastian Williams 5-yard touchdown pass to Caden Walker. That
put McDevitt up 28-14, 5.53 left to play in the third.
And that's a huge TD for McDevitt. The momentum was
swinging the Falcons' direction, but McDevitt now reopens that two-touchdown lead.
(01:40:05):
Ulynda will kick off towards the Derry Street end of
the field. It's a very high kickoff. It bounces on
the field. Falcons pick it up at the 20th. And
they will return this one down the field. They get
to the 42-yard line. Penalty flags come flying in. Hopefully
that'll be coming back. Another McDevitt player cramping up. And
(01:40:27):
it is holding against the Falcons, so that'll come back.
Speaker 7 (01:40:33):
And that is a break, Art, because they got great
field position on a kick return that they should not.
McDevitt just did not seem to get down the field fast.
It was not a low kick. It was up in
the air, and it bounced. And McDevitt, the kickoff team,
just wasn't there.
Speaker 3 (01:40:54):
Yeah, it died, and the Falcons left it fall. And
it kind of died in the ground there like a
ball in the sand. And they picked it up at
the last second and charted down the field. But thankfully,
a penalty on the Falcons. Here comes the pressure by McDevitt.
Fires one over the middle, and that one is almost
intercepted by the Crusaders. Good coverage out there. That was
(01:41:18):
Elijah Sherman on the coverage, Marty, to bat that one down.
Speaker 7 (01:41:21):
Yeah, it was real good.
Speaker 6 (01:41:22):
Elijah Sherman's been very, very active from that free safety spot, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
5.42 left to play in the third. McDevitt up 28-14,
second down and 10 for the Falcons. They started this
game with Jackson Rice, and... Appeared he had an injury.
I thought he was just cramping at the time. But
ever since, they've played the backup quarterback, Luca Cagliandolo. Fakes
the handoff. Now he actually does hand it off, and
(01:41:53):
he goes really nowhere. McDevitt gives up about two on it.
A lot of late pushing and shoving down the field here.
Refs just pat him on the back and let it go.
So another great opportunity for McDevitt's defense here. Third and
seven from the 35-yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:42:12):
Hubert Hall, a sophomore, comes in at one of the
defensive tackle spots.
Speaker 3 (01:42:21):
Ball's at the 35-yard line. Let's see if McDevitt's defense
can get off the field here as we approach the
five-minute mark.
Speaker 7 (01:42:28):
Coach Wechter trying to use more guys in the lineup
there to give some guys breathers.
Speaker 3 (01:42:35):
Here's the pass. The roll to the near side and
fire one down the field. This is incomplete. Don't see
any laundry on the field. Good coverage by Bishop McDevitt
as they try to hit Justin Thomas. Good coverage by
DeVar Chance in the area over here, and it's incomplete.
And the Crusaders' defense gets the job done.
Speaker 7 (01:42:53):
Portion of the ball a little overthrown, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:42:59):
So Bishop McDevitt will take over here now. Spar back
to punt, standing at his 20.
Speaker 7 (01:43:07):
Exact same thing, Art. Here we go again.
Speaker 6 (01:43:10):
They had to take a timeout because they did not
have the punt return team.
Speaker 7 (01:43:17):
And I believe that's Coach Berry down there.
Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
He's furious.
Speaker 7 (01:43:19):
He is just furious.
Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
No one plans to get sick or hurt. It just happens.

at selectmedical.com. All right, if you're McDevitt, you just want
to make sure you get the ball here. No costly penalties.
You're up by 14 points.
Speaker 7 (01:44:04):
You don't want to jump offsides on this.
Speaker 3 (01:44:05):
No offsides, no illegal substitutions, nothing. And here's the punt.
He does get it off. It's a nice high punt.
Chance will catch this at the 26. Chance with a
nice return.
Speaker 4 (01:44:18):
He's got the 50. He's got the.
Speaker 5 (01:44:21):
45 and goes down to the 44-yard line. Tackled down
the field there by Austin Chow. But what a great
run there as he just exploded out of there, Marty.
Speaker 6 (01:44:32):
He came into where the tackles were, and he kind
of disappeared for half a second.
Speaker 7 (01:44:37):
And the next thing you know, he comes out. Full
speed on the bright side of it.
Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
So McDevitt now with great field position up by two touchdowns.
439 left to play in the third quarter.
Speaker 7 (01:44:51):
Great tackle there, Art.
Speaker 6 (01:44:53):
Maybe a touchdown saving tackle as he had blockers out
in front. But that defender came from across the field
and slipped in between the blockers.
Speaker 3 (01:45:02):
Two backs in the backfield surrounding Sebastian. Crusaders are going
to run this one to the near side. And this
time McFarland... That goes nowhere on that one. Well, he
lost a yard on that one. I still don't see
(01:45:22):
Zayden Smith in the game for Bishop McDevitt. Yeah, he's
still over here on the sideline.
Speaker 6 (01:45:29):
Art, that's a you got to keep him honest and
make him respect the run type of play call there
on first down.
Speaker 3 (01:45:39):
Crusaders break huddle here now. Hansley goes out on the
far side out there with Holton. And Jontae Quick on
the near side. Two backs in the backfield around Sebastian.
Back to pass. Fires one to the outside. And this
one is caught. A nice catch by Hansley, I believe,
over and around the 36-yard line.
Speaker 6 (01:46:00):
Hansley, the 6'6, 220-pound junior. Tight end wide receiver makes
a nice catch and puts McDevitt In great position. They've
got two downs to pick up two yards.
Speaker 3 (01:46:15):
Third and two for McDevitt at the 36-yard line. Clock
ticking down to 320. Left to play in the third.
McDevitt up 28-14. Jonte Quick goes out on the far side.
It'll be Hansley and Holton on the near side. Two
backs in the backfield with Sebastian. He's back to pass.
Here comes a pressure. Fires one down the middle of
(01:46:35):
the field.
Speaker 4 (01:46:35):
And what a great catch!
Speaker 5 (01:46:37):
A one-handed catch down the middle of the field by
Holton Jr. And it's first down and goal, Bishop McDevitt.
We saw him in a practice on Facebook.
Speaker 7 (01:46:46):
Colton Jr.
Speaker 3 (01:46:47):
Made this one-handed catch in the back of the end
zone for a touchdown in spring practice here earlier for McDevitt.
Speaker 4 (01:46:53):
And that was unreal.
Speaker 7 (01:46:54):
You won't see much better.
Speaker 6 (01:46:55):
The remarkable thing, he was tightly covered. He was tightly
covered and went up and, you know, pulled that down.
Speaker 7 (01:47:03):
One-handed. What an incredible catch.
Speaker 3 (01:47:06):
First and Cole McDevitt at the nine. That was sweet.
Speaker 7 (01:47:11):
As they say, keep that one in mind, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:47:14):
Brescia the lone wide out for McDevitt. Now going over
to join him is Holton Jr. One wide out on
the near side. That's Jontae Quick. Caden Walker in the backfield.
Sebastian is going to run it. He gets inside the 10.
Speaker 4 (01:47:28):
Now fires.
Speaker 3 (01:47:28):
It's tipped into the back of the end zone. And
I thought Sebastian was just going to run that one.
Tried to hit his man in the back of the
end zone, and it was tipped away.
Speaker 6 (01:47:41):
That's one of the quarterback instincts there, Art, because Sebastian,
If he didn't have a touchdown.
Speaker 7 (01:47:45):
He was at least inside the two, wouldn't you say?
Speaker 3 (01:47:47):
Yeah. Yeah, you're probably right. He gets around the two.
Speaker 6 (01:47:55):
We did talk about this, Art, on running, because you
do not have experienced backup at that position. So we
even talked about, you know, get what you can and
get out of bounds.
Speaker 3 (01:48:09):
So two wideouts to the far side. That's Brescia and
Jonte Quick holding the lone wide out in the near side.
Sebastian back to pass. Fires one over the middle, and
that looked like interference. And they do call it. Allen
was down here all over the wide receiver for McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (01:48:29):
That was Holton.
Speaker 6 (01:48:32):
And Holton down there doing some talking. And one of
his teammates comes up there and gets him out of there.
That was actually the freshman art, coming and telling the senior,
dragging him away from that, you know, before you pick
up a penalty.
Speaker 3 (01:48:50):
So it'll make a first down and go inside the
five at the four, it looks like. Devitt with two
wide outs to the far side, one to the near.
Isn't that a first down? Sebastian back to pass, fires
(01:49:12):
one to the corner, and this one is caught. Doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (01:49:15):
It is a Bishop McDevitt touchdown.
Speaker 3 (01:49:18):
A beautiful pass to Holton Jr., and Bishop McDevitt goes
up 34-14 with 2.09 left to play in the third.
Speaker 6 (01:49:30):
A great pass there by Sebastian on just the out
at the goal line. A great pass and a very
good pass. Nice catch by Howard Holton.
Speaker 3 (01:49:44):
Belinda on to attempt the extra point. The kick is up,
and it is good. So, 2-0-9 left to play in
the third. It is Bishop McDevitt, 35, and Good Counsel, 14.

Stronger together. Unstoppable as one.
Speaker 1 (01:50:44):
This is Bishop McDevitt Football on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (01:50:51):
All right, Sebastian Williams with a four-yard touchdown pass to
Holton Jr. to put McDevitt up 35-14. 2-0-9 left to
play in the third. Here's Lulinda's kickoff. It's a line
drive kick down the field, and it's very effective. They'll
pick it up at the 2. They'll run it back
to the 5, the 10, and still running to the 15.
(01:51:13):
Cuts outside. Looked like a penalty flag came flying down
as Lulinda was the last man to tackle him. He
ran out of bounds, but there's a penalty flag way
back at the 25-yard line, I think. He's out of bounds.
Speaker 6 (01:51:29):
Especially art with that being that late getting picked up
the last thing you want to do is let somebody
get outside and we've seen this a couple of times
and you know something they can clean up as they
like to use that expression they can clean that up
during the uh during the week hopefully.
Speaker 3 (01:51:46):
Hopefully the refs are cleaning it up right now holding
against a good council and Yeah, as you said, I mean,
it was a nice line drive kickoff by Lelinda.
Speaker 7 (01:51:58):
And then it died.
Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
It died, literally, at the 2. You can't do it
any better. And the kick returner did a heck of
a job returning it, but obviously had some help with
the hold. For a moment there, it looked like Lelinda
was the only guy that could tackle him. Went out
of bounds anyway, but way back from where the kick
returner ran the ball to. Now McDevitt's defense just with
(01:52:21):
an opportunity to shut the door here on the Falcons.
Up by 21, a minute 58 left to play in
the third. It goes all the way back to the
15-yard line.
Speaker 7 (01:52:30):
Good counsel has really hurt themselves here, Art, with some penalties.
Speaker 3 (01:52:36):
Yeah, the script has switched a little bit here in
the third quarter. And good counsel will run this up
the middle, and McDevitt ready for it that time. That
was number three, Alston. Picks up about three.
Speaker 7 (01:52:49):
Eaton Miller in on that.
Speaker 3 (01:52:56):
Great milch in there. Second and seven for the Falcons.
Minute and a half left to play in the third quarter.
McDevitt's up 35-14. Back to pass. They'll fire one over
the middle and this one is caught. An impressive catch
over the middle by Corey Smith and he's been Tough
(01:53:18):
banging guys away there, and a nice throw by the quarterback,
Luca Cagliandolo.
Speaker 6 (01:53:25):
A very good, tight coverage. I believe that was Elijah
Sherman there was just right with him. Perfectly thrown ball
and a great catch, and he held on.
Speaker 3 (01:53:35):
Smith's just one of those big physical receivers that plays
through contact. Here's a quick pass to the outside, and
this one I believe is complete, the Ferafino.
Speaker 6 (01:53:49):
They're doing some damage now, Art, just throwing quick out
across the middle. You know, maybe not looking to go downfield.
Speaker 7 (01:53:56):
Maybe throw three or four of these to try to
draw a defender up there. Maybe you can get the
long pass.
Speaker 3 (01:54:02):
They said it was incomplete, apparently, so it's second and ten.
It was right on the sideline, the far side. It
looked like he caught it, but tough to see. Maybe
he was out of bounds. Two wide outs to the
near side for the Falcons. And they fake the handoff.
Here comes the pressure, and McDevitt gets to him this time.
(01:54:22):
Takes him down back at the 21-yard line.
Speaker 7 (01:54:26):
That was Chance Holmes. Came from that far side defensive
end spot.
Speaker 6 (01:54:33):
All right, he was fighting off the blocker as he
got to tackle. Great job there by Chance Holmes. Showing
some strength.
Speaker 3 (01:54:43):
Third and extremely long now, 18. For the Falcons and
McDevitt's defense with just a big opportunity here to maybe
close this game. They have two wide outs to the
near side. Cagliandolo shotgun formation. Back to pass. Here's one
(01:55:05):
out down the field.
Speaker 5 (01:55:06):
And it's intercepted by Bishop McDevitt up around the 40-yard line.
That is number eight, Sherman. Sherman takes it down the sideline.
Will spin out of bounds inside the 20-yard line. And
Sherman making his presence felt with a big interception there, Marty.
Speaker 6 (01:55:22):
Sherman has just been very active in this game, Art.
Elijah Sherman drops into deep coverage. Goes up in here
and gets it and gets a great return out of it.
Puts McDevitt in.
Speaker 7 (01:55:34):
Good shape at around the 20-yard line.
Speaker 3 (01:55:36):
And there's just four seconds left to play in the
third quarter. Crusaders with a 21-point lead. And ball at
the 19-yard line in the red zone of good counsel. McDevitt.
You never know what you're going to get from a
(01:55:57):
team until you see them on the field. Obviously lots
of talent. But, I mean, McDevitt so far tonight, extremely impressive.
Speaker 6 (01:56:06):
Sherman being looked at there by trainer Rochelle Blakely on
the side.
Speaker 3 (01:56:11):
Sebastian in the shotgun. Going in motion there is Milch.
And they will hand this one off up the middle
to McFarland. And not much there. Tries to spin to
the outside. Loses a couple, but that will end the
third quarter of play. So after three quarters of play
here at Rockford Tenzio Stadium at Bishop McDevitt High School,
it is the Crusaders of Bishop McDevitt, 35, and good
(01:56:34):
counsel out of Oney, Maryland, 14. You're listening to Bishop

Speaker 1 (01:57:55):
This is Bishop McDevitt Football on News Radio, WHB 580
and iHeart Radio.
Speaker 3 (01:58:03):
As we start the fourth quarter, as McDevitt will drive
towards the Union Deposit end of the field, they pitch the...
one to Xavier McFarlane. And he has a nice run
inside the 15 down to the 14. Scoreboard saying.
(01:58:31):
Coach Wechter coming out to talk to the official.
Speaker 7 (01:58:34):
There's something happened there with the play clock, Art.
Speaker 3 (01:58:43):
It's 11-21 left to play in the fourth. Third down
and six.
Speaker 7 (01:58:50):
Oh, McDevitt forced to take a timeout. Coach Wechter not
happy with that.
Speaker 3 (01:58:59):
I'm not sure what Coach Braden Wechter out there as
well looking perplexed. They'll have another discussion with the officials.
McDevitt's up 35-14, 11-21 left to play in this one.
(01:59:21):
Crusaders driving. trying to get an explanation from the refs here.
Speaker 7 (01:59:33):
And actually, Art, if it was.
Speaker 6 (01:59:42):
Something to do with the clock here, that's really, there's
only so much the refs can do. But it was
very quick after the McFarlane played it.
Speaker 3 (02:00:00):
So 11-21 left to play. McDevitt huddling up. The Falcons
have good counsel out on the field. They reset the
play clock. It went from 40 to 25.
Speaker 7 (02:00:13):
Keep in mind, Art, that they signal timeout McDevitt. It's
not come off the scoreboard yet.
Speaker 3 (02:00:21):
All right, so the Crusaders are up at third and six.
They'll bring a man in motion. Sebastian back to pass.
Here comes the pressure. And Sebastian just eludes it. Now
he's going to run it himself, takes it up the middle,
and throws this one, and it's intercepted. And good counsel
is going to run this one all the way back
to the house, it appears. That was number zero, Richard Allen,
(02:00:51):
for a touchdown. And we've got a ball game again, folks,
here with 11.04 left to play. Just a bizarre sequence
there of all sorts of clock stoppages. And then McDevitt
throws the pick six there. So it's 35-20. 11.04 left
(02:01:19):
to play. Still lots of time in this game. Another
late substitution for Bishop McDevitt onto the field.
Speaker 7 (02:01:30):
They have the confusion on the timeout and the play
clock and everything. They get it all set and they
come out and then they throw that. Art, there's no
way that ball can be thrown. You just cannot throw it.
Speaker 3 (02:01:45):
The extra point is up and it is good. So
11.04 left to play in this one. It's now 35-21
Bishop McDevitt. And we will take a break. You're listening

The boys of fall play right here on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (02:02:44):
All right, welcome back to Rockport 10ZO Stadium here at
Bishop McDevitt High School. Art Selby and Marty Bowman here
with you, Eli Fessler. and J.C. back in the studios.
Bishop McDevitt now up 35-21, 11-04 left to play. Crusaders
are up 35-14, and... allude to sack, and just an
(02:03:06):
ill-advised pass for an interception, and now it's a 35-21 game.
They will kick this one deep, and this one will
sail into the end zone for a touchback, so Bishop
McDevitt now... With a 14-point lead, 11-0-4 left to play,
and the Crusaders will have to reestablish momentum here, Marty.
Speaker 7 (02:03:25):
They will.
Speaker 6 (02:03:25):
I actually was thinking early in the third quarter that
35 would do this, but not so certain on that now.
So I'm thinking, as they always talk about in baseball,
you can never add on too much. So they need
to add on here and go back up by the
three scores if you can.
Speaker 3 (02:03:47):
So here come the Crusaders as they huddle up here.
Now they break huddle now. Now some good news here
for you is I can tell you Zayden Smith is
coming back onto the field for Bishop McDevitt. That will
certainly help things. Crusaders up 35-21, 11-04 left to play.
(02:04:10):
Sebastian back to pass and a quick pass to the
outside is incomplete and is He looked immediately to try
and throw it to Zayden Smith. For McDevitt, you want
to get back to really what's worked in this game,
some screens, some misdirections on some of these passes that
(02:04:32):
really fooled good counsel throughout the night.
Speaker 7 (02:04:36):
Yeah, that had a little bit of danger to it
on the way to, you were thinking the same thing
I was, that that could have very easily been a
pick six.
Speaker 3 (02:04:45):
Very dangerous pass. Two wide outs to the far side
for McDevitt. One to the near. And they will run it.
But this time, good counsel all over it as they
hit Caden Walker in the backfield for a loss. Now
a huge play coming up for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (02:05:03):
Layton Black comes in to replace Walker. Credit there to
good counsel. They pretty much guessed, you know, that after
the first down and completion, McDevitt was going with a.
Speaker 3 (02:05:19):
McDevitt will need to pass protect here. We'll see what
they come up with here on third and 14.
Speaker 7 (02:05:25):
Balls at the 16.
Speaker 3 (02:05:25):
10-10 left to play. Three wideouts to the far side.
One to the near. Sebastian signaling out to his receivers.
Back to pass. Fires one. This one is complete. And
it will be for a first down for Bishop McDevitt,
and that's to Thatcher Hansley. Huge play, Marty.
Speaker 6 (02:05:47):
Hansley came off the tight end, and he was wide open, Art.
And once again, Sebastian Williams just found him, put it
right on the money. He was able to turn and
get it up for the first time.
Speaker 7 (02:06:01):
A big first down there. It kind of just hopefully
changes the whole complexion here.
Speaker 3 (02:06:06):
Yeah, I mean, it's... looking to get the ball back
down 14 with all the momentum with nine minutes left
to play. Instead, McDevitt gets a huge conversion on third
and 13. Quick pass to the outside, and this one
is incomplete to Jaunte Quick. Unfortunately for McDevitt, not rolled lateral.
Speaker 7 (02:06:25):
It would have been a touchdown for good counsel. It's
the first time they've done that today, Art, where they
just threw the flanker screen.
Speaker 3 (02:06:38):
Unfortunately, the clock stops on that one, too. 9.23 left
to play. Second and 10 for McDevitt. They'll come with
three wideouts to the near side. One back in the
backfield to the right of Sebastian. Sebastian Williams back to pass.
Fires one. He's got his man for a first down
(02:06:59):
up to the 47-yard line. That's Zayden Smith. Zayden Smith.
Speaker 7 (02:07:05):
Zayden Smith, nice pattern.
Speaker 6 (02:07:07):
Just turned around, Sebastian Williams put it right there, and
Jaden Smith did not try to do too much with it.
Speaker 3 (02:07:15):
Just a smart play, and now McDevitt receiver down, cramping up,
I believe. As the cramps continue to come at this
point in the game, 9-0-8 left to play, McDevitt up 35-21.
Looks like it could be, I don't.
Speaker 7 (02:07:33):
Want to say it, I I don't see Sebastian Williams anywhere.
They're going to take him off the field.
Speaker 3 (02:07:47):
Trying to see who that is.
Speaker 7 (02:07:50):
I think it is Sebastian.
Speaker 3 (02:08:00):
No, Sebastian's already.
Speaker 7 (02:08:01):
Yeah, I see him. Yeah, okay.
Speaker 3 (02:08:03):
I was going to say, if John Tate Quick would
have to play quarterback.
Speaker 7 (02:08:08):
So we've got to figure out who that is.
Speaker 3 (02:08:15):
So Zayden Smith goes out as a wide out on
the far side. with jaunte quick out there 905 left
to play it's first and 10 mcdevitt at the 47
as they drive towards the union deposit end of the
field and here's mcfarland with a nice run over midfield
down to the 49 gets four so productive run and
(02:08:36):
that'll help run some clock.
Speaker 7 (02:08:38):
Yeah nice job there by mcfarland broke attack one like
you said took a one yard gain.
Speaker 2 (02:08:43):
And made it four.
Speaker 3 (02:08:48):
So 8.39 left to play. Second and six for McDevitt.
Play clock down to 15. No reason to hurry here.
Two wideouts to the far side. One to the near.
And Sebastian's going to keep it himself. Runs for the
first down. And the penalty flag comes flying in there
(02:09:09):
for holding on McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (02:09:10):
Yeah, they got a hold there. Number one, Markel Long Jr.
Speaker 3 (02:09:15):
On the side.
Speaker 7 (02:09:17):
And Sebastian made....
Speaker 6 (02:09:24):
And he holds the ball and gets more than enough
for a first down. But it all comes back.
Speaker 3 (02:09:34):
So 8-18 left to play. McDevitt just runs to this
clock to run out. Keeps stopping it. Calls back at
the 41-yard line.
Speaker 7 (02:09:45):
And now they've got to pick up 16. 16. And
the next two plays to keep the possession.
Speaker 3 (02:09:54):
Still a 14-point lead. Eight minutes left to play. Play
clock's down to seven. Three wideouts to the far side.
Play clock at four. Sebastian back to pass. Here comes
a pressure. Fires one over the middle. And this is
incomplete just off the fingertips of his receiver around the
46-yard line. I think they tried to hit Zayden Smith
(02:10:19):
again on that one.
Speaker 7 (02:10:20):
Yeah, that was a little low. It was going to
be tough for Smith to go down and get that.
Speaker 3 (02:10:28):
Makes the third down and 16 for McDevitt at the 41.
Three wide outs to the far side, one to the near.
Sebastian Williams, shotgun formation, back to pass. Here comes the pressure.
They do a little screen pass over here. The running
(02:10:50):
back runs up the field inside the 50 down to
the 48, and that was Caden Walker, I believe. That
would be short of the first down, but picked up
some good yardage. Clock run, so that will help McDevitt here.
They can run that all the way down to about
seven minutes left before they punt it.
Speaker 7 (02:11:15):
And that would be Jontae Smith here.
Speaker 3 (02:11:20):
Jontae Quick standing back at his 39, his first punt
of the night. 7-10 left to play. It's a high snap,
but he gets it. And he gets off a very
nice punt. This is inside the 10, and it will
go into the end zone for a touchback. But Jontae
Quick showing some nice leg on that one, Marty. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:11:40):
He did. He got a nice one, and... Guaranteed no return,
which is nice.
Speaker 3 (02:11:49):
So it switches back into the hands of McDevitt's defense again.
Crusaders up 35-21, 7-0-2 left to play in this game.
Crusaders really need one more big stop, I would say,
and you can feel pretty good about this one.
Speaker 5 (02:12:06):
Harrison now leads 20-13, the late and the third.
Speaker 3 (02:12:16):
So here come the Falcons of good counsel heading towards
the Derry Street end of the field. Here comes the pressure.
They fire one down the field, and this one is
almost intercepted. It's over on the sideline over there. Devin
might have caught it, but it was out of bounds,
I think.
Speaker 7 (02:12:34):
I think it was Elijah Sherman again.
Speaker 3 (02:12:38):
Yes.
Speaker 7 (02:12:39):
He has had himself a game. No questions.
Speaker 3 (02:12:46):
Cogley and Dolo just rolled to his right looking to
make a play, but Sherman all over that.
Speaker 7 (02:12:52):
Chance Holmes leveling. Jerry got rid of.
Speaker 3 (02:12:56):
It, so. 6.55 left to play second and 10 from
the 20 for the Falcons. Here comes the pressure from McDevitt.
Pass is almost intercepted as Cogley and Dolo just kind
of threw it to nowhere in particular. I think he
was trying to hit scales on that one, but McDevitt
had a shot for a second to pick that thing off,
(02:13:17):
and if they did, I think they would have taken
it to the house and nailed this one shut. But anyway,
it leaves a third down and 10 from the 20.
Speaker 7 (02:13:24):
Yeah, there was some confusion out there because neither one
of the two wides were really looking for the ball.
Speaker 3 (02:13:34):
Here we go, third and 10 from the 20. Cogliendola
surveys that McDevitt defense.
Speaker 7 (02:13:41):
They're bringing everybody their heart.
Speaker 3 (02:13:42):
They bring the pressure to the ball. up in the
air and somehow caught up at the 33-yard line for
a first down.
Speaker 7 (02:13:52):
Justin Thomas gets low enough, Art, to make the play.
Speaker 3 (02:13:59):
So they fortunately pick up the first down for them
and it's 6.36 left to play. Two wideouts to the
far side and two to the near. Coglindolo back to pass.
Fires one. It's tipped in the air and.
Speaker 6 (02:14:14):
Yeah, he got spun around there. They're going to have
a pass interference call.
Speaker 3 (02:14:22):
Press yells for the flag, and it comes after the play,
so they will get it. 624 left to play in
this one. You talked about a quick game, Marty. It's
not quick anymore.
Speaker 7 (02:14:39):
No, it certainly isn't.
Speaker 3 (02:14:43):
Ball is at the 48-yard line now. 624 left to play.
McDevitt up 35-21. Falcons just hanging in there by the
skin of their teeth. Two wideouts to each side of
the field. McDevitt threatens a blitz again. And they will
run this one up the middle for a very short
(02:15:05):
gain of about three. McDevitt's just fine with that as
that will eat up some clocks. 6-10 left to play.
It'll be second down and seven.
Speaker 7 (02:15:16):
Kind of an uneasy feeling here, Art.
Speaker 3 (02:15:23):
It's a game you just feel like McDevitt's dominated. Two
pick sixes for their scores and a controversial touchdown, yet
they're still in this one. Here's a quick pass to
the outside, and that's exactly why you were scared, Marty.
territory flags come flying in back to 46 that should
(02:15:45):
come back.
Speaker 6 (02:15:47):
That's one of those ones that we talked about where
they've hurt themselves on that behind the play as far
as i know it was behind a play and.
Speaker 7 (02:16:01):
One of the uh one of the linemen down there
blocking And a very costly penalty.
Speaker 3 (02:16:13):
So it brings it back to the 44-yard line. 5.46
left to play in this one. McDade 35-21. Falcons have
one wide out to each side of the field. Balls
all the way back at their 43-yard line. It's about
second and 14, I would say. Cogley and Dolo back
to pass. Here comes a pressure. Fires one over the middle,
(02:16:36):
and this one is almost intercepted. Over through his receiver,
number two, Thomas. And the McDevitt player, is that Sherman
on the ground, Marty?
Speaker 7 (02:16:44):
No, I thought it was Jontae. Yeah, Jontae Quick. He
kind of started to go down to a knee, and
it would have just been the perfect interception. Uh-oh, we
got another call here.
Speaker 1 (02:17:00):
That's terrible.
Speaker 3 (02:17:06):
Some sort of a call against McDevitt.
Speaker 6 (02:17:12):
The ref makes an early call here, Art, and then doesn't,
you know, verify it to the press box.
Speaker 3 (02:17:22):
It's because I think it was a terrible call. Cuglandola
back to pass now.
Speaker 7 (02:17:30):
He's got some time now.
Speaker 3 (02:17:31):
Running, running, running. Ball's on the ground!
Speaker 4 (02:17:35):
And they're going to say incomplete.
Speaker 3 (02:17:37):
Oh, man.
Speaker 7 (02:17:43):
Well, it wasn't a fumble. He threw it. but he... Well, actually,
he hit a McDevitt player, is what he did. It
didn't hit his own lineman. So it... He threw it
at a McDevitt rushing lineman, which is all legal as
far as I know.
Speaker 5 (02:18:06):
So.
Speaker 3 (02:18:07):
Five and a half minutes left to play. It's second
and ten from the McDevitt 41-yard line. I'd like to
see that one again. Two wide receivers on each side
of the field. Coglindolo. Little shuffle pass over the middle.
And this is taken down to the 31-yard line of McDevitt.
(02:18:37):
Debit player down on the ground here. Clock ticks 5.17
left to play.
Speaker 7 (02:18:44):
That's Jontae Smith. I'm sorry. Jontae Quick.
Speaker 3 (02:18:56):
Coglindola back to pass. Here comes the pressure. Fires one
down the middle and They're going to say it's Cotty
somehow caught it down to the 12-yard line. I mean,
this is just like pure magic how the Falcons somehow
are staying alive here. 4.54 left to play in.
Speaker 7 (02:19:20):
This game.
Speaker 3 (02:19:20):
McDevitt up 35-21 now, and the Falcons have the ball
at the McDevitt 12-yard line. Cagliandolo fires one towards the
end zone, and this one.
Speaker 4 (02:19:33):
Is intercepted, I believe, by McDevitt. And it is in
the corner of the end zone down here. DeVar Chance,
I believe, Marty.
Speaker 7 (02:19:41):
DeVar Chance on great coverage. They were doing sort of
a fade, and Chance turned around at the perfect time
and just reacted to the ball.
Speaker 3 (02:19:54):
The Falcons were just living on the edge with just,
Lucky play after lucky play after lucky play to somehow
stay alive. If he plays and finally McDevitt gets the
interception in the end zone here and now takes over
a 440 left to play.
Speaker 7 (02:20:13):
That was a very athletic play by chance. It really was.
Speaker 6 (02:20:16):
Like I said, just turned around at the right time
and the ball was right there and he reacted to
it and held on.
Speaker 3 (02:20:24):
440 left to play. Two backs in the backfield surrounding Sebastian.
Two wideouts to the far side. One to the near.
Devon up 35-21. Let's see if the Crusaders elect to
run the ball here. Play action fake. Sebastian running. Comes
to the near side. Fires one down the field. The
(02:20:48):
receiver got between the ball and Holton Jr. I'm not
sure he ever saw it, but it falls to the
ground harmlessly. An incomplete.
Speaker 7 (02:21:01):
It's just sort of a broken play. Sebastian tried to
get it over the defender. The defender was able to
catch up to it.
Speaker 3 (02:21:14):
Sebastian has a play from Coach Wecker. Takes it back
out in the field. Four and a half left to play.
McDevitt up 35-21. John Tate quick. And Zayden Smith on
the near side. One wide out on the far side.
Now McDevitt will run this one to Walker, I believe.
(02:21:35):
And he's tackled down for a gain of a yard.
Speaker 7 (02:21:38):
One of the few times that there was nothing there.
Speaker 3 (02:21:44):
Clock ticks down to 4.15 left to play. And we'll
have a third and nine for Bishop McDevitt. Walker checks
out of the game for Bishop McDevitt.
Speaker 5 (02:22:00):
Mercedes can get the first down here.
Speaker 3 (02:22:08):
You could really take this game, and I think they're
going to let that play clock tick all the way
down and call a timeout here, and that's exactly what
they will do. So let's take a timeout here as well.
345 left to play in this one. McDevitt up 35-21.

Harrisburg's elite high school football program. This is Bishop McDevitt
football on Fox Sports 1460.
Speaker 3 (02:23:18):
All right, welcome back to Rock Hortensio Stadium here at
Bishop McDevitt High School. Crusaders up 35-21, 345 left to play.
McDevitt with a third down and eight from the 22-yard line.
Crusaders are up 35-14, and good counsel has just hung
in there with all sorts of breaks. And McDevitt will
(02:23:39):
run the ball. This is Walker. He's got the first
down and more and goes down around the 34-yard line.
It's a great play call from McDevitt. I'm sure they
weren't expecting the run. McDevitt fools them.
Speaker 6 (02:23:54):
It was, and Sebastian did a great job of just
kind of nonchalant.
Speaker 3 (02:23:59):
Yep, I saw that.
Speaker 7 (02:24:00):
Just kind of lost track of where the ball was
by the way he did it. Harrisburg up 20-16.
Speaker 3 (02:24:08):
14 over York.
Speaker 7 (02:24:10):
Not really too much of.
Speaker 2 (02:24:11):
A surprise there.
Speaker 3 (02:24:20):
Two wide outs in the near side, one to the far.
Game clock down to three minutes left to play. McDevitt
with two wide outs to the near side. They'll run
this one again. This time it's to, I believe that's
number 10 for McDevitt, Leighton Black. No gain on that one,
but it does eat up some clock.
Speaker 7 (02:24:43):
Black's getting some reps in there. An awful lot of
reps tonight. So all three running backs.
Speaker 6 (02:24:50):
Black, McFarlane, and, you know, all getting Caden Walker, all
getting some reps.
Speaker 3 (02:24:56):
I mean, I don't know if each team does have
three timeouts left, according to the scoreboard.
Speaker 7 (02:25:01):
No, they don't.
Speaker 3 (02:25:02):
But if they have any, you would think they would
be using timeouts here. Yeah. I mean, this is their
last gasp, 220 left to play. Here's another run from McDevitt.
Same play, they pick up a couple on this one. Again,
that's a black, I believe. So now it's third down.
(02:25:23):
And now they.
Speaker 7 (02:25:28):
They take a timeout now.
Speaker 3 (02:25:30):
I think they do take the timeout now. So McDevitt
up 35-21, 2-0-7 left to play.
Speaker 7 (02:25:36):
I was going to say, a big third down play here, Art.
McDevitt gets this one and it really should wrap it up.
Speaker 5 (02:25:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:25:43):

(02:26:12):
And we really want to thank Steve for... sponsoring Bishop
McDevitt Football again this season. Crusaders coming out of the
huddle right now. 2.07 left to play, a 35-21 lead,
third and eight from the 36.
Speaker 7 (02:26:26):
Art, there's been a real issue with the clock not
having the timeouts taken off at all.
Speaker 3 (02:26:35):
Yeah, it's not been the best night. Sebastian, shotgun formation,
one back in the backfield, two wideouts, one on each side,
and the Crusaders will run this one, and this time
the Falcons get in there and stop it as McFarlane
gets to the 40. 2-0-1 left to play, and they
(02:27:00):
take a timeout, so that's two that they've used. So
McDevitt will punt this one with 2.01 left to play
on fourth and four from the 40. They do take
another timeout here. No one plans to get sick or hurt.

Speaker 6 (02:27:51):
What the strategy is going to be here but i
would kick it away from the return man just so
they cannot get a return.
Speaker 3 (02:28:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:28:01):
You know, I would kick it towards the sideline.
Speaker 2 (02:28:03):
Yep.
Speaker 7 (02:28:05):
Roll here to the right and then get it off.
Speaker 3 (02:28:08):
Jontae back at his 27, and he's going to keep it,
and we'll run it just short of the first down.
A gutsy call from McDevitt.
Speaker 7 (02:28:17):
Well, he got a good spot.
Speaker 3 (02:28:19):
I think he did get it.
Speaker 7 (02:28:24):
Yep, there it is.
Speaker 3 (02:28:25):
Coach Wechter's called. I mean, we've watched him coach a
lot of great games. This one's right up there for
me tonight, Marty. Injury for, looks like Miles Ingram is
down for good counsel.
Speaker 7 (02:28:45):
That was one of those, you know, if it was
Saturday or Sunday afternoon, that would be reviewed.
Speaker 4 (02:28:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:28:50):
For certain. Where did the knee go? Where was he,
the ball when the knee, you know, the whole thing.
I was stunned, I think, as you were. And all
of a sudden I looked up and I saw the
far ref coming up and he's like right even with
the first down marker.
Speaker 3 (02:29:05):
You know, I almost said, wouldn't it be crazy if
McDevitt ran a fake punt here? Literally, it was in
my mind and I thought, I'm not even going to bother.
Speaker 6 (02:29:13):
Well, they have an electric back wide out. I should
say they can do that back there punting.
Speaker 3 (02:29:19):
I mean, that makes for a weapon that your punter
can just take off and I mean, you only need
10 yards.
Speaker 6 (02:29:28):
It actually shut down real quick. Because I don't know
how you felt, thinking he's going to take us to
the house. You know, but one of their guys got
him and brought him down. But unfortunately for good counsel,
not enough.
Speaker 7 (02:29:44):
So who knows? Good counsel either has one or none
when it comes to timeouts.
Speaker 3 (02:29:50):
Right.
Speaker 7 (02:29:51):
So McDevitt should be able to run this thing.
Speaker 3 (02:29:54):
Pretty much down yeah crusaders up 35 21 minute 54
left to play and uh and just a really impressive
game here tonight by bishop mcdevitt i mean i can't
say enough about uh the offensive play calls on this
game tonight sebastian has made some mistakes that can be
(02:30:18):
cleaned up and he's made a lot of great plays
as well the running game looked pretty solid i mean
caden walker Really impressive tonight. Houghton Jr. with some great catches.
Speaker 7 (02:30:30):
Kane Walker, you think about it, he's been a varsity
football player for just a little under three hours.
Speaker 6 (02:30:38):
And he has made his presence felt. Whether it's rushing
or whether it's catching passes out of the backfield.
Speaker 3 (02:30:48):
And when we did our interview with Coach Wechter the
other day, I mean, we knew about Caden Walker, but
he kind of I almost felt like he downplayed him
a little bit in the interview. He was kind of
mentioning that, and he's just been sensational tonight.
Speaker 7 (02:31:05):
McDevitt gets to run off a whole 40 here.
Speaker 3 (02:31:11):
Sebastian out there, hands on the hips. Clock at a
minute 30. Play clock at 16.
Speaker 7 (02:31:18):
It's going to be under a minute 20 when they
snap it.
Speaker 3 (02:31:23):
Sebastian waits to snap. And they will just run this thing.
There's Caden Walker on the far side, tackled down at
the 46-yard line. And now they take a timeout.
Speaker 7 (02:31:43):
Art, I don't care what the scoreboard says, that's their third,
at least.
Speaker 3 (02:31:47):
Yeah, it's got to be.
Speaker 7 (02:31:49):
And I'm not saying just them. None of this Timeouts
have been taken off the board all night.
Speaker 3 (02:31:57):
So they take the timeout there with a minute nine
left to play. You wonder why they didn't take the
timeout on the play before. So 35-21 McDevitt, a minute
nine left to play in this one. Crusaders in great
shape of getting a victory here tonight. And then we'll
go over to Landis Field next Friday night and take
(02:32:18):
on Central Dolphin East. You go into a game like this,
you're playing a team from Maryland. You knew they're really good.
You're not sure quite how good they are. And you
know you have a good team as well. And it
looks like McDevitt's going to come in here with the
(02:32:41):
victory formation. They have a back deep in case there's
a turnover. Sebastian under center. Minute nine left to play.
And they do snap it and take the knee. We're
down to one minute left to play. My favorite formation, Marty,
the victory formation.
Speaker 7 (02:33:01):
And two more snaps and this is over.
Speaker 3 (02:33:08):
So Bishop McDevitt with a really impressive win, making a
statement tonight. And I mean, this game really wasn't as
close as what the final score was, to be honest, folks.
Two pick sixes for touchdowns. McDevitt making some mistakes. And
there's Sebastian takes the knee. That should about do it.
Speaker 7 (02:33:30):
That does do it. There you go.
Speaker 3 (02:33:32):
And there they go. So Bishop McDevitt will come to
the near sideline and celebrate what a season opening win.
And this Bishop McDevitt team is going to be a problem.
It will get stronger as the season progresses. What an
impressive win here tonight for Bishop McDevitt at Rockwood Tenzio
Stadium against Good Counsel.
