Speaker 1 (00:00):
Five six sixty nine zero is the text line. And
we are on number one seed eve as it were
here in Denver, as the Denver Broncos take on the
Buffalo Bills tomorrow afternoon, game one of this.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Round of the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
And this city feels like it's it's a bit on edge, honestly,
getting out there amongst the people a little bit today
the uh city feels a.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Little, a little on edge, a little nervous.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Hopefully we can do some on edge, so we can
do some calming here on Broncos Country.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
The night well on for a second. Wait, Nick was
to turn the lights down. We got some mood lighting.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
Yeah, you got some berry white back there, some candles,
A get a nice little say.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I hadn't said the move you talked. You talked about
calming and soothing goose. So I had to lower the
lights and luckily I have my tea here.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
You do kind of up out? Is that a Cammo meal? No? No,
not quite, No not try. Yeah, I'm not trying to
those off here. I mean that that's gonna happen anyway
I'm talking.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
But since we are swissing to our calming and soothing atmosphere,
let me go.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Ahead and let the nice down roll and a little
in our voice.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
And yes, it is calming football Friday here on BCT
as the Broncos get set to take on the Buffalo Bill.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I feel like we're on a nineties hard beach station
right now.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
This is the Quiet Storm with Nick ferguson Dune to
Love and Benjamin all right.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
The nerdy white guy back there, back in the triangle
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
It's fine, and we're gonna keep it locked here all
night long. The next HiT's Jodysy. We are here for you,
Broncos country. Let us know. How are you feeling? Oh
that's ridiculous. No, I just did it.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
They tell like there's some some nerves around town. I
think people are emotionally invested in the.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
Outcome of the nerves, man, because guess what, there's no
other game after this.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
This is winna go home.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
This is not NHL, the NBA or MLB where there's
a game six or a game seven, No brawl for
at all.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
That's right.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
If you don't play your best, you're going to be
weeping on your way home.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
That's what it is. And yes, that is the I
think that's why we love football. So much.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
There isn't a series, there's not a back and forth,
there's not a home in a home.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
We're not running it back. You've got to be the
best team in the stadium that day you do.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
And usually what we see been every single year in
the playoffs, in the super Bowl, we see teams that
faced off. Now they're in a face off week one
of the regular season.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
See, it's weird that you're running with the Travolta Nick
Cage movie.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I was running with the Quentin Tarantino movie.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
You said face off, I'm saying kill bills, which I
scandulously stole from the text life right here from the
seven to two who had a great joke there.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Well, at least at least you were dignified enough to
give them their flowers and validate them for worth.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
They said, I would.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Never just steal the joke off the text line to
not do that, but that is that was a great
one for the step too. The Broncos and be like
The Bride and the Tarantino film, they're prepared to kill bills.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Hey, man, you're gonna have to. That's what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Man. It is all hands on deck. And let me
set the scene for you guys really quickly. Right now,
both teams are in their respective hotels right now, they're
probably eating a little dinner. And then after that you
got the special Teams meeting right where Darren rizz is
gonna stand in front of his group and you're gonna say, well,

(03:32):
if you want to be remembered, remembered among some of
the greatest teams to ever do it, some of the
greatest teams in Broncos history. You now have an opportunity.
Marvin MAM's and a guy's blocking for you.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Make sure that they remember forever to night they played
the type I mean, the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
I didn't steal that name, but that's essentially what you're doing, right.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yeah, No, that's that's the thing everybody, So I think
that that is the thing pump.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
At each other up.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Hey, you know, this is whatever motivational.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Edges that you can get.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Now is the time to do all that you gotta get,
you know, I mean, whatever little things that you can
get to remind people that immortality lies beyond.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
And if you are Sean Payton.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
You this would be the final time you get the
chance to step in front of your team and deliver
a message before they take the field, because if you're
talking about giving them a message the day of the game, no, no, no, no,
you can do that. But for me mentioned that you
didn't set the tempo for what the game is gonna be.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I think you pull up the first half from last
year and you said, look what the score was at.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Halftime on their turf. No, I don't even do that.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
No reason we can't do that again, there's no reason
we can't do that for four course instead of two.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Even I'm totally against that. I'm not showing the team
the Buffalo game.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Now.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
The first idea is that, well you show it to them,
that's gonna piss them off and get them upset. But no,
but but I think the mentality may revert them back
right because now the team is moving forward.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Don't look back right, not far back. But if there's
a game I'm.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Gonna show them, I'm gonna show them the Green Bay
Packers game because that was the game that the Broncos actually,
for the first time in the season, actually came alive
on both sides of the ball. That was arguably the
best game that they played. I know people are talking about,
you know, the Dallas game. But for me, yeah, you
won that game, but that was against the team that

(05:31):
was ranked thirty second defensively.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
But you played against a good Green Bay team and
you beat them.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
See I'm showing the Jaguars game. Remember what that felt like?
Except there was no tomorrow. There wasn't tomorrow after that,
there will be no tomorrow. I'm showing them the Jaguars
game with Michael lean Perry. And look what it turned
these guys into. Let the Buffalo Bills game from last
year be the Jags game. That was for them, the
launching point for that two year super Bowl window for
the never Broncos.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
But okay, if you were to show them, you gotta
leave them on high point.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
They say, you with that. Yeah, you start with the
gut and you end with the two.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
You know, jab because ideas kind of you're trying to John,
You're trying to book in it, right, say, okay, well,
here's where we were, Here's the stumbles and the pitfalls.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
That we encounter.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Here is where we got to, Here's where we are now.
Here is basically the shoulders the giants. The shoulders are
the giants that we now stand on. You guys now
or are in that window. Right, you were in the window.
You were in pole position to do something that all

(06:38):
thirty two teams want to do, but they can't do it.
Why they're not in this position.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
We'll pull it up Star Trek and be like, look,
John elway Man, that was Will Shatner. You got a
chance to be John Luke Picard here, you got a
chance to be Patrick Stewart.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
You got to take the next crew and boldly go see.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
You know, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna stay in that
same vein and take it a step further, you know,
forget Star Trek.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Let's go full new hope Star Wars. Yeah, the inferior series. No, no, no,
I mean I gets on oz.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
He's got this one star Fighter one X swing right
and he's got a launch that thing he's and bough
up the dead Star.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, that's where you are identically.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
You're saying that their best weapon, best weapons, got to
got to go make the play.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Go make the player. Who's gonna be that guy?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Well, if Sean Payton had been running the rebellion, Marvin Mims.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Would never gone. We never got out there. No, I'm
just kidd all right, I'll stop, I'll stop.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
I'll stop five six.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
I We've got several people asking the same question.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
I'll answer for you said, how you can do some
calming if we know you're picking the Bills. Uh, let's
see what we got Josh and Mantanta been how you
call him and smooth? If you're picking Buffalo, what concerns
me is VJ leaving guys.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
I'll do it like.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
It.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
I'm gonna pick Buffalo.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
But somebody's got to be the sacrificial lamb here because
everybody else is going to big Denver.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
We know, we already know what happens.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
We already know what happened, already know what happens, and
you know what happens.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
You know, so you think the Broncos will win, but
you're just being the sacrificial I just want to make
sure we got this on record, what you actually think
will happen.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I believe that Denver has a chance to win this
football game.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
I'm gonna go they have in Buffalo, and you know what,
I will be happy.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
If I'm you guys to clown me.

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Oh wow, So he's the guy jumping on the grenade.
I'm gonna take one for the team.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Didn't see this movie. We all know, how did we
see this movie already along with the producers. But Ben with.

Speaker 4 (08:41):
In both sides, so he always comes out on us.
That's exactly what he's either either the Broncos lose and
I told you guys they were gonna lose, or they
win and hey man, what I just had to put
myself up on the cross.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
What can I say?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
We are willing to know sacrifice at that level for
you to you the people.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Some of us are so full of it that they
may need an enema. That's what we're talking about, right,
And I might be one vision at all, right.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
I don't do anyma that's an album area out of
my only as far as that goes. Look, it's it's
a tough task. I don't have faith in this team
sticking with what you kind of have to do to
beat the other team. I'm a little concerned on the
other side of the ball and the Deef we had

(09:31):
a great defense. I'm concerned that they'll wear us down
the way they did last year because neither of these
teams is appreciably different from last year. You know, the
Broncos we had JK so we were able to run
the ball in the first half of the year, but
you know, the running back situations roughly as you know,
the same point that it was last year.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Even with the gaudy touchdown numbers for Harvey.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Harvey catches the ball well out of the backfield, but
he struggled to be consistent running the ball. You know,
it's it's a lot, it's you know, it'll be tw
carries before he pops one, and and who knows when
that's going to be.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
Now.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
I hope we're able to do that. I hope we
stick to that. I hope we're able to do that,
but my faith in that is not there.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
So you are highly discouraged by what how the Broncos
run the ball or the inability to stay consistent.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
To the ruck.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
It's we don't give it to I'm I'm concerned over
the course of the season that we've just not given
the ball to the guys that can do it.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
And we saw it last year where they we forgot.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
We had Marvin Mims for three quarters of the season
and then all of a sudden we put him in a game.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Look what happened to It was balling out of control
down the stretch.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
You know, we look at Jalil McLoughlin, who we forget
we even have, and then we all of a sudden,
you get him out there and we're seeing the limit touch.
This guy can run the ball, he can get yards,
but we only use him four or five times instead
of running the other guy. That's not I'm not saying
it's the players. He can't call. I'm not hanging anything
on the player here. I'm hanging you know where I'm

(11:00):
in this.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
I have no idea. Do you take all commands of
the talent? I like my faith.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
You have to call me the Broncos atheist at this
point because my faith is not there, that we will
stick with the things that work, stick with the people
that work, and instead we're gonna try to out genius
everybody with some kind of you know, it'll be second
one and we'll have another one of these double end
round reverse backward pass to the to the tackle that's
gonna you know, there's some some insane, mission impossible style

(11:28):
maneuver instead of just running the ball for one yard.
When in those situations and my faith isn't there, maybe
I'm wrong. Maybe I look like a fool, Maybe I
look like an idiot.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Talent how can we help you on this football Friday
and restore your faith give the love back to one buses.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
I've been down a rabbit hole on statistics all day.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
So maybe you know, and I'll tell you, guys, if
you maybe Zach Sieger says something that'll pick me back up.
And I, you know, look at this, Sean Baden one
and five in his one and for excuse me, in
his last five playoff game, three playoff wins in the
last years.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
You have anything over there in your lab.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Coat, Zac Suegers that could possibly swing the pendulum back
the other way.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
He's undefeated off a postseason by oh you know, I
think that is how are you approaching the postseason? In
this regard, I'll also say, yeah, he struggled a lot
with the corpse of Drew Brees trying to lift that
to the plass. We saw last year's Broncos team run
into a two seed Bills team after flipping into the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
That's one of those losses.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
Another one of those losses is the Minneapolis Miracle. Another
one of the losses is the crazy uh OT.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
Game against the Vikings. The very next one, the.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Draft game. I'll give you, I'll give you that because
that was a band call and with the with the
Rams dB, three.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Of those four losses are on incredibly slimm like literally
all time. We're almost a decade removed from him, and
we still remember that game losing play moments. That's three
of those four losses. I don't think it's like this
guy just can't hang in the postseason.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
You know what I'm getting from what you're saying, right,
all of which I've seen, all of which are true.
The Kyle Rudolph one was as a former dB, I
was so pissed.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
At that one, you know, the one one.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
It was like New Orleans, it was it was an
OPI that wasn't called because he extended his arm and
it wasn't called. And that that led next to that
next season where passing a farris was challenged, but coaches
didn't want to give up their challenge flags. And it's
almost like the league kind of did that purposely to
make coaches not throw the fly. But what you're pointing out, Zach,

(13:39):
is the fact that this game cannot be close. This
game cannot be in a situation where we'll the last
fifty seconds and minutes left on the clock. And the
Broncos need to score or they need to somehow stop
Matt Prater from getting.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
In position to kick a game winning.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Field goal a place by the way, where if I'm
not mistaken, Matt Prater has the longest field goal in
Bronco's history, does he not?

Speaker 2 (14:07):
You might have the longest field goal in the history
of that building.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
Yeah, so you want to make sure you prevent that
because everything you laid out right there as to why
coach Payton did not advance in the playoffs, that was
too close to call.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Leaving games too close at the end.

Speaker 1 (14:24):
All right, all right, we're onto something though, But there's
a positive momentum.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
There with the secret stats here, I got another positive
and you teed me up with this. The Bills down
a lot of receivers for this game. People know that.
You also pointed out how they can mash in the
run game, and they might look to mash in the
run game. Broncos got a good run defense fifth and
EPA per rush allowed seventh and rushing success rate allowed
good rush defense. They're also really good against heavy personnel,

(14:51):
which the Bills haven't run a lot of. Thirteenth flowest
rate in the league are about forty percent of their place,
but they'll probably dial that up this week in a
twelve lighter front. The fact there are also down so
many receivers. The Broncos top five against heavy personnel in
terms of success rate allowed, rushing success rate allowed, EPA

(15:12):
per rush aloud, just general EPA allowed yards per play
alout like they are a top five defense in just
about every metric.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Against heavy personnel. I think that also linds up well, well,
let me.

Speaker 3 (15:22):
Sell something out there. As a resident defensive player. That
sounds great. If your tight ends can't run right inline blockers,
there's candous, but the caveat is well. While the Bills
may not have that many and wide receivers, Mikole Harmon

(15:43):
has been upgraded a guy who's played against the Broncos before.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
You have Curtis Amu who has he's got some time
in his league.

Speaker 3 (15:51):
But Dalton k and Kate and Dawson Knox, they're not
your typical inline blocking tight ends. I look at those
two guys like Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews for the
Baltimore Raiths. They can block, but they can fan and
expand the field as well. So if this is where
Broncos defenders on the second.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
To third level.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
They have to be good with communication and they have
to be good with their eyes because if there's a
threat of Josh Allen or James could running the ball,
guess where the heavy emphasis is going to be stopping
those guys. And I can tell you personally, sometimes your
host is so hung up both stopping them.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
There's a guy next to you that runs right by you,
and they got a few of those.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
I mean, Brandon Cooks can run too, which obviously Sean
Pay's failiar with Jackson Hawes is their blocking tight end.
The rookie when he's in there, that's that's the blocking
tight end. I think you're gonna see some creative defenses
out of answering this one. I suspect that on third
down you're going to see Pats or Tan and Jatte
Barn on those tight ends. I'd be willing to bet
that there's no receiver here that terrifies you in any

(16:56):
way that you need.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Sirtan out there.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
You put Bridley Moss, Chris Abrams, train and ja Kwa
McMillan will be on Khalil Shakir. I suspect you'll see
situations on third down with the Broncos actually counter to
what you would think, will go lighter and bring those
dbs on and put passer Tan on those tight ends
because the Bills love to go to those tight ends
on third down.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Yeah, they love to go to the tight ends. And
I'm looking to see what that matchup looks like. But
don't forget Shakir was a Keika gain Will the last
time these two teams faced off, because he was like
their possession receivers. You're not getting a lot of explosive play.
He's blowing the top off like Troy Franklin did in
the first game. But when you talk about needing a play,

(17:37):
Josh Allen is going to that guy. Passer Tan can't
cover everyone. I wish we could throw him in a
cloning box and get like four or five of.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Them and can't do it well, Like seventy percent of
the earth is covered by water and the rest is
covered by passer Tan.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Or cham Bailey just saying yes one of the other.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
And everyone points out how explosive Josh Allen is that
he is. You know, a crazy arm can run all
over the field, But this has been a quick passing game.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
The Bills have gone with for much of the season.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Tackling is gonna be huge for the Broncos secondary in
this one. And I also wonder, you know, how aggressive
do you get, because again, Josh Allen has the arm.
He can burn you on any of these plays. But
you also can't just let him nickel and dime you
down the field, because he's accurate and efficient enough to
lead those you know, ten twelve fifteen play drives, especially
with that Russian attack they have.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
But this is where the chess match comes in, because
if you go man coverage or you go two man
with two high safeties, your back is turned and the
moment that Josh sees a window, he's taking it. This
is the difference between Josh and bow Knicks. I mean,
there's a lot of times that bo Nicks has an
opportunity to run and he chooses whatever it is, whether

(18:45):
he's choosing onto whatever, he doesn't run. And I know
early in the season he was heavily criticized both locally
and nationally for bailing on plays. But I'm like, if
that gets you closer to second and manageable and keeps
you out third and long situations, which we've seen Broncos
and third and twelve and third and fifteen.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Take it because we know Josh Allen's gonna take it.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
So this is where Bo's gonna have to man up,
be more mature and say I'm throwing a team on
my back. To hell with what coach Payton is saying
on the sideline. I'll deal with him when I get there.
I need to move the sticks. That needs to be
his metallity.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
He's good and he's gonna have to be the guy
that will pick up yardage with his legs versus just
buying time and trying to, you know, find stuff downfield.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Sometimes you just got to go get the first down.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
With the Broncos being the team that has.

Speaker 1 (19:32):
The second most drops in the NFL this year, I'm
not sure I'm putting it on you know, Troy Franklin
out there to make that kind of play. If I'm
Bo Nicks, maybe I just make the play with my
legs and discretion is the better part of valor in
some of those situations.

Speaker 2 (19:45):
Well, yes, that's exactly. I mean.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
Look, I tell my son this all the time, and
I show him film of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Steph
Curry and Allan Everson, and I'm like, well, what do
you notice about these guys, especially Kobe and Mike.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Sometimes you have to take the dam ball and take
the game over. It's like Jimmy McGuinty and the replacements. Yes,
the game's on the line.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
Winners want the ball. You can't wait. I look, you
were open for what maybe a second? I needed you
to be open for more than that. I'm gonna take
the ball and the run. And if I if Bo
was getting first downs, to hell with anyone else and
whatever people.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Have to say after the game.

Speaker 3 (20:21):
It's about moving the ball down the field, getting in
the red zone and scoring touchdowns.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Broncos Country to night, we gotta hit a break, but
we're gonna break all this stuff down the rest of
the evening leading up to Broncos Bills exclusively here on
Kowa tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
This is in a Broncos Country to night here on KOA.

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Gonna wear them down. They won't be able to breathe.
Midway through the third quarter. All the fake injuries will
start happening. We'll say we don't know how he's hurt,
but the truth will be he just can't breathe.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
That's that's some faith. I'm okay, all right, I'm here
for it as your faith been restored. Yet when vision over.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Brah b, Look, I'm drinking from the waters. I don't
know that I'm there yet. Wait wait, wait, you have
gone for Bronco to Bronco's agnostic.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Oh god, we have not moved all the way into
the realms of faith.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
He yeah, I want to be sure. What what what
water hole that you're drinking from? I know it is Friday,
so we say you're drinking from a water hole.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Well, the the good, the good folks at Tartu te
Gualas they provide all that great water that they provide.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
I don't think that even though it looks like water ferments.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Yeah, that water to do a lot of things.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
Appreciate you guys. Be along for the rod. Yeah, this
is this is gonna be an interesting one.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
You know.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
It's it's it's sort of like you look at it
on paper and you're like, you look at it just
through that lens.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
You're like, all right, the Bills are down some.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Big injuries in their secondary, they're down their receiving core.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
You know, if the Broncos just got to run the
ball here and this could be a thing, and then.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
You start diving into you know what Denver does, what
Buffalo does, that kind of stuff, and it goes back
the other way. I think it's funny because the line
on this thing has swung three or four times. The
betting public can't figure out whether they're like the Broncos
the Bills in this Right now, I think we've I
think we finally settled on like the Broncos. Minus one
is that we're at the Broncos are one point favorite
right now.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Last I saw it. Okay, I have to have to
pull it up here.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
That makes the Bills and Josh Allen underdogs.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Technically, on a neutral site they're there, they would be favored,
but here they're underdogs. Is basically how that works out
because home field advantage action's in there. So I'm trying
to pull it up right now so we can interesting,
we can see where's at. Let's see best line on
the Broncos right now, Broncos are out to one and
a half. So it's out to one and a half
one and a half, So it's swinging back the other way.
As the late money is coming in on Denver, it

(22:38):
looks like now, sixty seven percent of bets right now
are on the bills, So the Broncos have fewer bets,
but more big money bets is what's happening right now.
So take that how you will. Well, I'm gonna take
it this way. I'm not laying down any bets. I
like more money. Yes, we are familiar with the Nick
Ferguson school of betting, in which you can never lose
money because you were never there to begin with.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
There you go. But what that means said, I could
never be upset. I can sit there and watch the
game in the organic sense and not have my stomach
and knots not standing up seeing a lot of adult words.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
You're gonna do that anyway, just from watching the product
on the field.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
I'm time sweep with a little money in my wont
Here's you guys want to know the reason like I
bet on the bills, why it is because either way,
I'm gonna come away with that game happy. Whether I
lost a little bit of money on Buffalo and win
so or that commercial place while I'm talking for some reason,
either dis gonna win and I'm gonna be happy as
we get to continue cover in a winner or well,

(23:40):
it's gonna be a little heavier and I'll be able
to draw.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
My sorrows in the in the in the money I
got for He.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
Just speaks volume to one Benjamin all Brights. Yes, this
is rule book number one, page one right. Play both sides,
so you never have to say that you're sorry. You
never have to win. There's always a smile on your face.
You think like you're living the dream. No matter what happens,

(24:04):
you come out on.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Top of that's not living like winning. I believe that's
the definition of winning it life.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
No, No, that's not like winning in life.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
It's not never losing. You're trying to burn account of
the bolts. Look what you're trying to get? More light
in the room? More light thing.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Well, we I have an event a holder that holds
a candle horizontally that just says you can do two wicks.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
And it'll burn it about you have to do get
a small statue it all.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
But this's his hands, and that would be the quintessential
gift for anyone you have in your family who is
yet to make a decision.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
My favorite is when I say something dumb like that
and I get I get the seegers like, wait a minute, look,
do he just say that? Look up right there, Like
that's one of my going fishing for. That is just
gotta be one of my favorite moves.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
Whatever, there's an especially bad dad joke. I have to
just give you the head nod of disapproval.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Yeah, it's it's one of By the way, speaking of
it's actually you should go wrote an article that's up
on k right now, which to tell us a little
bit about that, so the listeners can go out there
and get that if they want to.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
Yeah, yeah, check it out.

Speaker 4 (25:05):
Over under that broncos tab I wrote about how bo
Nix compares to the rest of the playoff quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
The one still standing at is I didn't worry about
those that have been eliminated.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
I looked at some you know, different quarterbacking factors, not
saying it's all the factors, but like accuracy, explosiveness, how
they're playing under pressure, rushing ability, some some decision making stuff,
and then playoff experience.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Where did boul Renka ultimately have to read the article
find out? Yeah, read the article to find out.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
I'll say generally not last, not last, and generally a
lot better than I thought he would. You know, I
came in thinking, you know, we'll probably be in the
in the bottom third. I guess of most of them
spoiler alert and yeah, I had spoiler alert. I found
out he's pie's a lot better than that across the board.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
I check it out.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
I did a lot of good numbers digging. There's some
Josh Allen nuggets in there too, a lot of stuff
that'll I.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Think apply to the game.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
I'm good, all right, Well, guys check that out at
kaclorado dot com.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
I believe slash Broncos, but it's on the Broncos tap.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
You know what. Talking about bow Nicks in the playoffs,
it makes me go back to what the year was,
twenty twenty four, and you look at all the quarterbacks
that were taken in that draft. There were five quarterbacks taken,
excuse me, six quarterbacks taken in that draft. And I
remember being at the Broncos stadium during the draft and

(26:28):
when bow knicks name was called, or better yet, when
JJ McCarthy was taken, there.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Was this deep sigh. Right, and obviously.

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Time heals all wounds and Broncos country thinks a lot different.
But when you look at that quarterback class, What was
said about that group of guys, how they were evaluated,
how some were put higher than others. To me, that's
shaping up with exception of two guys, and that's JJ
McCarthy Michael Penix Junior to be a damn good quarterback

(27:01):
class looks.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Like you know, I think one of the things, excuse me,
one of the things that I find fascinating in the
teams that are left in this playoffs. Half the head
coaches are defense, half an offense. Half the quarterbacks are
on rookie deals.

Speaker 2 (27:14):
Half of them aren't.

Speaker 1 (27:15):
It's one of those things where there's a there's not
a conventional wisdom in this playoff field that's left. You know,
people like to the narrow, So you got to win
him with a quarterback on a rookie deal, you gotta.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Win with an offensive head coach. This is as mixed
a bag as it gets. It is.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
And then you have in the NFC you have Sam Donald,
who was seen as being a cast up going from
team the team to team. It seems to be like
a homeless quarterback, if you will. But he found a
home with the Minnesota Vikings that helped develop him by
way of Kyle Shanahan and San Francisco over the link

(27:49):
back up with the guy who helped with his development
at Clint Kubiak, and he's revitalized.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Well, I call him Steve Perry because he's been on
a journey.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
But you know, it is what it is that we
get that dad joke in there, he's too young to
st Perry was you don't.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Know who's to Steve Perry. Don't you google it, don't
don't do don't you do it. Don't you put your
hands on that keyboard if you.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
Don't know who Steve Perry voices. Don't even use that
mic right now. Don't even say that word you were?
You were anyway?

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yeah, that that that joke with a little over the
over the head. Our audience will love it, though the
text love it. I just I thought it fascinating, Like
I look at these it's a balanced field. You've got
strong defensive teams, you've got strong offensive teams.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
You got balanced teams.

Speaker 1 (28:33):
Teams that run the ball effectively, teams that toll the
ball effectively.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
It's uh, it's it's just.

Speaker 1 (28:38):
A it's a fun outside of the NFC, which is
the NFC West and the Bears it's a pretty balanced
overall slate that's left in this thing.

Speaker 4 (28:47):
It is Google on this computer holding up Steve Perry.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
One.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Yes, so yeah, and this is one thing.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Uh And I think when you look at the Broncos
are and how Vegas is looking at this game, a
lot of that is based on there hasn't been like
a dominant team and there's been.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
A lot of Perry.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
So if you are the schedule makers, if you are
Roger Goodell, anyone in the Park Avenue office, you love
what you're seeing right now because you see there's so
many storylines. Because you have Matthew Stafford, who is the
oldest statesman in the room and could should be the MVP.

(29:29):
You have so many young quarterbacks in that twenty twenty
four draft, like I said, who have now shown in
their second year what they can actually be.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Me who has taken much later, shown little something down
there in ne Orleans before he got replaced by Tyler Shuck.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Yeah, So you love.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
This and this this is one of those things once again,
while the NFL is king and the NFL will always rule.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
With Beatles, you know what, stop talking about He's an
old bands.

Speaker 1 (30:11):
I don't know like you know I could name a
small handful, but you know what, let me tell you this,
like an old band like I'm gonna do this just
because it's because it's Friday.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Old band like Nickelback.

Speaker 3 (30:26):
Okay, all right, see now you gotta be careful, be
very very careful. See, young seekers, there was a time
and the galaxy far far ago where they had this time.
It was called the eighties and the nineties. Right, they'd
just a little different hair, a little different. But music,
oh my god, the music and the movie was spectacular,

(30:51):
like John Hughes movies like, I mean, that was the time.
The time I'm living in right now is crazy as hell. Right,
that was a moment in time. You need to go
back in the way back machine and take a look
at the.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
The most difficult arguments we had over what was your
favorite dinosaur? Yes, if Twitter had been around back then.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
You know what CD you put into your walkman, you.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Know the forty five seconds so disprotect you the skip protection. No, no, no,
I never did you didn't just skip James a word
later to rip off under yeah, undercoding video.

Speaker 3 (31:25):
These are the type of discussions we had in the
eighties and the nineties.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
He's right, you know this dude, good grand do I
feel like I was missing out? He talk to my
lot Era.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
He's watching somebody at the gym with the diney look
at it.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
He's got like a thousand songs. This guy's got like ten.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
Yes, see those with a good song, good days and
groups like Journey.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Right. You need to go back and listen to it.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Man.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
I know the music. I just I don't know like
who was in the band? Okay, well, well we'll educate
you on that at some point six four to six.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
What a great day ahead of us for Broncos country,
but a long time for a game that is big.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Keep it up, Nick, let's go. Didn't say anything to me,
but I guess Nick.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Also says three years tomorrow seemed impossible and years and
years away.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Kudos to Peyton and Peyton and ownership. That's right.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
That that is the way that you should look at
if you are a Broncos fan. And I'm going to
back up for something that we were talking about before
the break and maybe he would kind of put get
It get into a little more on the other side
as far as we're Zach was bringing up about Josh
Allen and getting the ball out of his hands very quickly,

(32:39):
because we know the Broncos can get after you with pressure.
John Frank, La Meyers, Zach Allen, Nick Minido, John the Cooper.
But what we've seen was mobile quarterbacks using the ability
to move in the pocket and get the ball out
of the hands to nullify the pressure.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
We've seen this as Cliff Kingsbury's either quick hitters in
the past game, or the quarterback step up to the
seed gap and getting now from the over pursuit. As
the Broncos, I think we're chasing that sack record a
little harder than they probably should have been at the
end of the day.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
But well, we'll see how that goes a couple of
real quick before we hit the break.

Speaker 1 (33:11):
Let's see Andy from Kansas High Guys.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
I started the week unsure the outcome of the.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Game, to now be totally confident that the Denver Broncos
will win head to head a better, stronger all around team.
I do have this feeling i've had before, feeling like
a dream like state sitting here listening to the KWA program.
It's a feeling of maybe I can't wait, even though
we have to wait till tomorrow. Go Broncos. I will
be calling tomorrow night to wish you a victory Sunday.
Will It'll be Saturday, but cool Monday, Ryan, what's up?

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Nick? Go Broncos.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Wish I could be there tomorrow, but I'll be there
next week no matter what.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
Go Broncos.

Speaker 1 (33:42):
All right, good ones, Mandy there, and then we get
one other one. Is it Gift or jiff because I
would really go for some peanut butter right now, the
GIF is pronounced gift.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
You don't get Christmas gifts. You get Christmas gifts.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I don't care what the guy who I don't care
what the guy who invented the things stands for. It's
also a graphics interface for that's what CIS stands for,
so graphics so GIF.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
Yeah, it makes more sense just saying Broncos Country Night
back after this
