Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, Nick first and Grant Smith here with you
five six six nine zero. Uh see here Rick and
Prescott says, guys, I'm working on a Stidham cover song,
the song album cover mock up.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Who can I send it to? It's gonna be epic.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
They can't release it till after the game because I
have a history of jinxing the Broncos.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
First of all, you got any history of Jinks and
the Broncos, and then you text in that first.

Speaker 4 (00:24):
Of all, Jinks are not real, but Rick does, and
jinx'es are real, and Rick has a strong one. Well,
he goes back to the Logan and Lewis days of
sending in parody guard.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
The force is strong with him.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
He still has my email, I believe me, and we'll
play it after the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Why might it before? You won't have your hands on it?
What a bit. See, there lies the Jinx right there,
and people will wonder why they call him. I'm gonna
prove that. I'm going to prove that Jinxes aren't real.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Well, you know what I'm gonna ask our next guess.
You know what's b messes about this whole thing about
Jeff Siddle.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Let's go us Squatchallyka comes through the hotline and bring
onbrey Mage just who regularly what has black cats cross
her path all the time and talks about these chinkses.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Bring how you doing.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
We're doing great, Yeah, fantastic callback. I do have a
black cat. She's sitting right next to me right now.
I think she brings a tremendous amount of luck. Although Ben,
it does sound like you may be the jinx, so
you can't have that audio of what that gentleman is
planning to release. We have to keep it as lucky
as lucky as we can around these parts.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
Well, I'm not the jinks.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
Jinks is are real to begin with, for the second
of all, And I.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Picked the Broncos to win this thing. I picked them
the wind right out the gate. I was all about this. Instead,
I said, there's no drop off.

Speaker 6 (01:35):
Everybody else here is the wet blanket.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I am not a wet blanket.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
I'm going to allow you to sit here and tell
that lie. All season long, we all know we figured
it out here. When we were making our picks, Ben
would always say, well, I'm going to make an egregious
pick and pick the team because I'm rooting for the
Broncos can reverse.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
That was a bunch of hogwade with cowships. It worked
right up until Jacksonville.

Speaker 6 (01:57):
Then the magic wore off, and now we're back that
Jesus still work.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
We're back to Jinks does don't work? All right? All right, Brie,
I got a need it for my narratives. Yeah, of
course for your own person narrative.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
So obviously, as you were coming in, we had the
texture say that he's going to do a song, but
he wants to wait because you don't want to be
a jinx. My question is for you. I know you're
die hard Broncos fan. Why is it that you know
a lot of the fans are waiting until after bo
Nicks has his injury to go full stinam on every
single thing when they could have done the same thing
with bo Oh.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
You know, that's an interesting way to frame it. Unfortunately,
very negative in just position to what I think Broncos
Country been.

Speaker 6 (02:34):
Hanging out with being too long.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Oh yeah, I mean all of a sudden, it is
emanating off of you. First, I'm not disappointed, I'm just sad,
But I think what this shows it's been a very
long season of watching the Dember Broncos team exceed expectations,
but in different ways. It's funny because even as they
were finding success, I think all of Bronco's country and

(02:59):
us include as we talk about them, kind of had
a reason for a while like oh, this isn't sustainable
or ooh, you can't win games like that long term,
and the Broncos just turn around and end up shocking
you in different games. I finding other ways to win
and faceted the adversity, whether it be strong opponents or
the possibility you know, of having to go into these
games shorthanded. It's been very exciting to enter January and

(03:23):
still kind of run up against the same notion of
cannas team really do it. I mean, we're approaching the
AFC Championship game, it's on Sunday, it's late January football,
and I think the expectations have to change eventually. I mean,
there's been teams in the past where van bases have
been explicitly against the idea that they can make it
to the Super Bowl and guys, you know, sixty minutes away.

(03:45):
But I would say rallying behind Jared Stidham in the
way that Broncos country has done so is kind of
the I don't want to say playing with house money.
I've heard it. I just talked about it on a
Patriots show earlier this afternoon. I think it really is
grabbing destiny in every different volume that is awarded to there.
It's didn't have to come into a circumstance that I

(04:06):
don't think he was anticipating being and I don't think
Bronco's country was anticipating it either. They were still high
off of the win off of the Bills and they
find out that their star quarterback is out for the season.
So ultimately, I think this is the way where initially
it may have started with a little bit of hope,
and then it would have started, you know, catching fire
with hope, and then all of a sudden, it actually

(04:27):
feels like there's still that one more game to get through.
Four teams remain in this battle in approach to Santa Clair,
and I think that this is really should be a
positive thing to look forward to. This is the way
to rally behind Bonix and say we've got the rest
of this the rest of the way, And I find
a beauty in it, and I've I've loved being a
part of it talking.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
To subrimas just the teenage witch as we uh, I
think you're welcome to that. Yeah, that's as we look
at as we look at this thing. I mean, Jarrett
it that's fun the way everybody has rallied around him.
But you know, I have a real sense of optimism
about his ability to play in this game.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
I don't think you're going to see a huge drop off.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
You're gonna new some of the mobility, you'll take a
few sacks, but you're also going to see a quarterback
that hangs in there. Let's plays develop, and I think
you might see a few more explosives. What is your
confidence level that Jared Stidham can captain this thing to
a super Bowl or a Super Bowl victory?

Speaker 5 (05:23):
Well, listen, there's a reason the Broncos organization paid him
the contract that they did. A backup quarterback is an
extremely important position, and Sean Payton understands so what this
game requires. I don't think you're looking at upsider experimentation here.
The Broncos plan the forthcoming is mostly about minimizing damage,
but it's also utilizing the power that you have when

(05:43):
you need this quarterback and can it coexist with the defense.
I think that's simply the assignment. Jarrett Stidham is going
to have to not turn the ball over. He's going
to have to get the offensive line. And honestly, in
a game of this capacity, I think you're living for
the next down. I don't think you're going to have
to call upon him to be some superhero. And there's

(06:04):
not going to be a Kate Lane on the sideline there.
But what Stidham brings to this offense is confidence, and
he understands the structure in which it's really aligned with.
And I don't think you're going to have to worry
too much. You're not asking to bring off script mile
high magic, and honestly, I think that's okay. I don't
think in the NFL generally your offense has to be

(06:25):
about creating chaos because it can ultimately dig you into
a hole and you don't want to have to really
survive through that. I expect the playbooks as Sean Payton's
offense is really designed to allow, is that it can
funnel down, it can rely on more runs, fingers crossed
some more JK. Dobbins if he's able to go on Sunday.
But I think you risk, fewer high risk concepts, and

(06:47):
where Bonuck thrives is not necessarily where you're it's Stidham well,
And I don't think you can compare and contrast the two.
When it's out there that the game of football can
be chess. It doesn't need to be entirely explosives for
it to work. And I think if you're if you're
asking Jared'stinham to have forty drawbacks and charity offense, you're
you're playing the game wrong. So I'm hurdly, I'm very

(07:09):
hurriedly expecting this to be early confidence. You're going to
inject as much composure or expect as much composure and
inject as much confidence into Jared's Didham by getting him
as many early down polutions as you can, and then
rhythm takes over. So yeah, Then, for the first time
in a while, I think I agree with you. There
you are hoping that the drop off from Bonux to

(07:31):
Jared's Sidam isn't actually there, that it's a more linear,
different approach to the game.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
It must feel good to be on the right side
for once.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
My goodness, I can't even believe you and put that
on air, because you know Grant's going to record that, right,
He's going to say that, Yeah, you actually agree with Ben,
So that makes you part of the wet blanket crew
the drive.

Speaker 6 (07:54):
To blankets over here, sir, it's been in the dry
for hours.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yes, right, okay, So first and foremost I am not
being hater, but I'm just pointing out something that Bree
that I saw it take place, that I thought that
could have happened, and you know, fans could have done
the avatarse with with bo h. Listen everyone, Galvin Eyes,
put your train behind Jervistidham because he's definitely.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Going to need it. But the other part of the
Broncos element that is.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Going to need it, it is cranking up the run game.
I know everyone got really excited when the window open
up for JK. Dobbins, and obviously I know it changes
if he plays. Well, here's the question I have for you.
If he doesn't play, what does it look like on.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
The run Grain?

Speaker 5 (08:38):
Well, I think you have to be really smart about it.
I've been hoping for a partially healthy JK. Dobbins because
then it doesn't become a game of volume. I think
it goes down to the gravity of the situation how
impactful because I think that that would give the offense
something that hasn't consistently had. And it's unfortunate that the
Dobbins bo Nix time playing doesn't overlap when Bonix was

(09:00):
doing so well and JK. Cobbns is healthy. But I
think if you get sixty seventy eighty percent, you get
a burst that you didn't have. It forces linebackers to
have to move upfield, and if they don't have that,
you have to find it in a different capacity. I
don't know how many design runs we're going to see
Ada Deret Stidham, but I think at a certain point
in time he was able to be somewhat of a

(09:22):
dual threat, and I think playing the cards close to
the vest that Sean Payton does, we may see a
couple of different concepts that we haven't seen throughout the
regular season now. Julian McLoughlin, Tyler Bdey R. J. Harvey
all respectively have different roles within this offense. But I
could also see Marvin Men's having a little bit of
fun there in a run game a run scheme concepts,

(09:43):
So I think it benefits did them most if there
is some concept of a run game, but I don't
particularly envision it being heavy handed us, especially because I
think the screen game will probably have a bigger effect here,
which is part and by part I mean an extension
of Yeah, if he can't go on Sunday, then it
was nice to get my hopes up there for a while.

(10:05):
I just hope that now the Patriots just can't tee
off on passing downs and and there's not this need
for them to disguise a lot of coverage because I
don't know how much pressure they're gonna send in Jared's
to somes direction. It doesn't need to be flashy and
are they anticipating it or will they leave wide open holes?
And he can have the ability to show what his

(10:26):
arm can do because he's quite accurate and quite intelligent
when it comes to those types of man maneuvers. So
I'd be really excited to see a run game, but
I'm not getting my hopes up here. Honestly. Whatever comes
out the gate just has to be strong, smart, and
hopefully results in seven points on the board when it

(10:47):
comes down to the first drive being over.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
Talking with remasters from Let's Talk Broncos, so let's switch
gears here a little bit talking about the Broncos defense
against Patriots offense.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Patriots offense gives up.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
A ton of sacks. They kind of feast on the
deep ball. That really is the twenty plus yard passes.
It really has been the drink may bread and butter
this year. Broncos conversely the best defense against those types
of passes and the number one team in terms of
getting sacks. How big is the advantage for the Broncos
defense against this offense.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Well, ultimately, I'd love the turnovers to continue on the
peak that they are, but you can't bet the mortgage
on it. So the Patriots not consistently threatening vertically and
not living on explosive plays, I think that bodes well
for this Denver Broncos defense. I don't think they're necessarily
built to score quickly, although I could potentially see them

(11:38):
doing just that and taking the score outside range there
for a moment. But they want on the productly move
the ball, you know, get five or six yards here there,
And I think that's what Denver's defense is designed to
maybe suffocate and put out of place. This Broncos unit
really has begun to thrive on discipline and as long
as that's there. Alongside yeah, communication, they tackle well in space.

(12:03):
We've seen now against the Bills there was a little
bit too much funneling there to the to the sideline,
but they do rally to the football. If they are
able to resist a lot of busted coverages, if they're
if they're pretty sticky while not having the PI calls
going in their direction, I think that they have the

(12:24):
ability to shrink those windows even further. Drake may worries
me a little bit because he does thrive on chaos
much like a Josh Allen, and I'm not comparing the two,
but I do think he's quite mobile and athletic. But
I think that the Patriots may lack the elite speed
and I could see the Broncos kind of feasting off
of that. But what I'm most excited for is that

(12:46):
Denver doesn't need to guess here. I don't think they'll
be blitzing recklessly. They can kind of sit in the
structure that's made them as good as they are, and
as long as the execution's there, I could see this
Denver Broncos defense taking it up another notch. The the
streints are kind of off of them at this point.
They've reached the precipice of this AFC Championship game, and

(13:06):
now they're able to continue the run of what seems
to be a very dominant defense unit that is going
to have to pick up some of the slack if
the offense can't get it done.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Based this from Let's Talk Broncos.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
But you always enjoy having you of the text line
loves you right now, I'm just letting you know there's
a whole flood of texts that love you, so we
love you as well, and looking forward to getting this
double on Sunday.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Thank you so much, gentlemen, have a wonderful night.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
We will take care pre Based this Let's Talk Broncos,
I think I think that's the thing for me is
if you.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Go and you look at you look at everything.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Everybody's focused on what Jared Stidham is going to be like,
But I think the real matchup here is the Broncos defense.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Against Drake May.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Drake May had arguably one of the better statistical seasons
for a quarterback this season. But if you start delving
into that, how they're doing that is they're hitting the
backs in the flats and it's a lot of these
twenty plus yard deep ball deep shots that they're making
that they've been successful converting on. Meanwhile, the Broncos Josh
Allbens oh of nine with two interceptions doing that last week.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Yeah, and it goes back to ball security and being
sound with the football. And there were almost in the
game where you know, Josh Allen had great ball placement,
but it was the turnovers that stuck out the fombles,
the interceptions, And I know this is probably something that
Josh mcdames and Mike Brabel are preaching to Drake Mayn offense.
If we stay on the schedule, the crowd noise is

(14:32):
going to be there. We put ourselves in a great
opportunity to win the ball game. And this is what
the Broncos defense is going to have to do because
once again you're facing albeit a second year quarterback, you're
facing a mobile quarterback, a guy who can move the pocket,
a guy who can play with different arm angles and
when whether you're in man or zone, he has the

(14:54):
ability to put the ball where he wants to put it.
So guy's gonna have to be great in their coverage,
especially when playing man coverage. Also, if you're playing some
former zone coverage. If you are a spot dropper, you
need to make sure that you hit your spot and
understand that every time there's an under, there's an over.
And the Broncos defense is gonna have to be good
because once again, when you look at the offensive weapons

(15:17):
that the Patriots have, it's not like the Buffalo Bills
where you looking at Dalton Kin, k Dawson Knox.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
You have Brendan Cooks, Ken and Coleman. No, they have
a bevy.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Of wide receivers with Stefan Diggs leading the charge. But
they have some guys who can get downfield. They run
great routes and they catch the ball well. So this
is what you're gonna have to contend with.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
They're another team that has a pretty uh slim receiving
call right now too. Stefan Diggs at Schuster Tittle beyond
quite a bit, Kayshaun Bowdie who who's good?

Speaker 6 (15:50):
Yeah, all right, Moody Cheeks, Kasehawan Boody who is who?

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Riley Moss will be on uh and then Pop Douglas
Ario Douglas who plays a slot that'll be who?

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Jae Kwan will be mostly lined up with their backups.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
They got Afton Chishm who barely plays, Kyle Williams, and
a couple of guys on the practice squad Jeremiah web
Trent Sherfield, our old special teamer is on there, uh
is on their practice squad and John gild Those guys
don't really play either. They basically run the same three guys,
four guys out there through throughout the entirety of the game.
Now they will live in twelve quite a bit as well,
with Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:26):
And that's something to keep an eye on. We saw
the Broncos giving up the cookies to the tight end
a little bit. Uh in that in that Bills game
with with Dawson Knox and Dalton Kincaid, Hunter Henry and
Austin Hooper might be as athletic, maybe not more, if
not more specifically Hunter Henry than than those guys.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
So that that to keep an eye on. And then
the way they like to get those running backs out there.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Raymondra Stevenson looks like a power back, but he catches
the ball out of the backfield quite a bit as well.
Something to keep your eye on. We'll get more to
that we come back Broncos Country to Night back up
of this five six' nine zero is the text. Line

Speaker 6 (17:47):
Seven promise we were gonna go over This patriots.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Roster everybody knows the quarterback And drake may their, backups
they're in trouble if they need to go to their.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Backups It's Josh dobbs And Tommy. DeVito but the main
crux of the offense here is is pretty.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Strong we talked a little bit about the receiving Core Kseean,
Bodie Stefon, diggs and then the slot receiver To.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
Mario it goes By Pop, Douglas Kyle.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
Williams the rookie is really the fourth receiver and they
don't really get much beyond. That Efton chisham is the
only guy on the roster other restro practice squad. Guys
the offensive line from left to, Right Will, Campbell Jared,
Wilson Garrett bradbury at the, Center mike going to win

(18:33):
you at the right, guard And Morgan moses the very
very talented right tackle. There Morgan moses actually has allowed
the fewest PRESSURES i think at right tackle this, year
If i'm not.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Mistaken, now so let me get this. Straight you want
to go player for player or group or position?

Speaker 1 (18:50):
Group, WELL i, mean Let's i'm just running it down for,
everybody just in case they don't. Know we talked about
the tight ends and running backs and all that kind of.
Stuff SO i just want to get the offensive line
in there and give them a little bit of. Love
but as start with the Quarterbacks Drake may Versus, jaris
DIDIM i think we're going to give the edge to
drink me? THERE i, mean with all due, respect with
all due, respect what a stitty. Avatar, hey, WELL i

(19:11):
didn't put one. Up, PLUS i gotta cover to the, team, Man,
LIKE i feel like it's weird IF i do. It you,
Know i'm glad you didn't do. IT i JUST i
support everybody doing. IT i just feel like it's weird.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
IF i do.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
It, plus i'd, mean who wants me jumping on that bandwagon?

Speaker 6 (19:25):
Anyway you guys don't want me to trying to steal
your thunder.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
With more or. Less people don't want you weigh it
down with all the water. Weight, yeah put on a
few pounds here in the midsection of the. Pizza the,
beer that's. What that's not WHAT i was talking, ABOUT i.
KNOW i was talking. About, yeah which our. Boats you
try to put out a fire with, that WHICH.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
I will, say LIKE i literally when the news came,
Out i'm, like, GOSH i don't think there's that big
a drop off and then all sudden.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
And then you, know two days later they're all saying
the same. THING i don't think there's this big drop.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Off you, know it's just funny to watch people talk
themselves into a metal prescool when they when they do
this kind of.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Stuff do you want to do the running? Backs, yeah
this is the running.

Speaker 6 (20:02):
BACKS i, Mean, Rodgers, Stevenson Trevion.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
Henderson that's a pretty.

Speaker 6 (20:05):
Good one to.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Punch even WITH Jk, BACK i still probably give a
slight edge to The patriots running backs simply because they use.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Them that would be a very wise resonsive fait for
a group because they're being. Utilized and here's something ELSE.
Jk Dobbins Ohio state running. Back Trevion, Henderson Ohio state running. Back.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Yeah, Yes Trevion, henderson by the, way was somebody The
broncos were kind of looking at in this draft that
things didn't end up working out with them trading out
of their spot with The giants Because Shotty barron fell
into their. Lap but that was one of those things
that was as a possibility could have wound up with
the possibility Of Trevion henderson.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Here even you know what's interesting about as we talked
about The patriots and their running. Backs the third lead
in rusher is great quarterback man at four hundred and
fifty Yards Bo. Nicks and this is kind of rounding
out the season that count of playoffs is the seventeen
game season Bow nicks with three hundred and fifty.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
SIX i, Believe, yeah he had more rushing yards than
than BOW i Think, bo if you were, attempts IF
i IF i remember, correctly because.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Eighty yes he did he did it eighty three or? Ten, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
BUT i mean that that running back room is a
pretty good. Punch, Now Travon henderson mostly relies on the.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
The big the big. Plays, right he gets a big,
play but.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
He relies more on the big, play the boom and
bus type, plays Where remondre is a little bit more
of your traditional power, back except That romondre can actually
catch the ball well out of the. Backfield he had
thirty seven targets thirty two receptions on the season for
three hundred and forty five.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Yards he can he can catch the ball out of the.
Backfield is.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
No he reminds me of a guy who played for
The patriots and out OF l S u and play
WHEN i played Fall, yeah, yes, WELL i Mean romondre
is certainly bigger than, me you, KNOW i mean it
just fought. Four the pass catching, ability yeah, yeah good, Hands,
yeah he really.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Does and that's been a staple of what this made
That patriots offense go for. Years if you've got running
backs that can catch them all out of the. Backfield
you've ever been familiar with The josh McDaniels, offense you
know that you that you need. That to put that in,
Perspective Remondra stevenson and versus Jak Dowins ja K diwins
is eleven receptions on the season for thirty seven. Yards
like you, know your lead back is that dual ability

(22:27):
gives you a little bit more. Flexibility then you get
into the receiving core, here this is WHERE i think
it starts to get a little. Interesting whether you whether
you like The patriots of The broncos here Or Stefan
diggs is their top target guy and now he's had
one hundred and two targets on the, season eighty five,
receptions one thousand and thirteen, yards four. Touchdowns, meanwhile you
look over here At Courtle sutton on hundred and twenty four,

(22:49):
targets seventy four, receptions one thousand and seventeen, yards seven.
TOUCHDOWNS i think if you're looking at THE x, receiver
you're you're giving the edge To sutton Over digs a little.

Speaker 3 (22:56):
Bit, well there's only four yards in four yard difference
is a four yard.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Difference stefan had ten more, receptions a lot more reception excuse,
me four fewer, yards three fewer, touchdowns so he's doesn't
get quite the vertical shots That courtland. Gets Although courtland
hasn't had any vertical shots in a couple of, weeks
it feels, like, no.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
He really hasn't because the, defense going back To Jesse
mentor and The, chargers they made sure to take away
any of the deep. Shots and even in the game
against The chiefs That thursday night, game there are not
a lot of opportunities for deep. Shots and if there
were explosive, plays And i'm talking about plays over ten yards,
passing you know guys to drop, balls, Right so that

(23:40):
affected those overall numbers as.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
Well, now The, patriots their second leading receiver Is Hunter.
Henry they go to the tight. End he's the second target,
guy he's the second reception. Guy he's eighty seven targets
on the, season sixty, receptions seven hundred and sixty eight,
yards and seven. Touchdowns whereas The broncos they go To
Troy franklin as the as the second, Guy franklin who's

(24:03):
had his drop issues as it, were and he's got
the hamstring. Issue it's not for certain That Troy franklin's
even going to be a go in this.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Game that will change a lot as far as how
The broncos choose to execute With, jeristidham especially in the passing.
Game that's WHY i think they're going to go with
more kind of, short quick.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Passes you, think but Then Marvin mims gives you that
explosive ability you almost have To you almost get defaulted
into using your most explosive weapon in that.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Case see that even sounds bizarre for you even phrase
it that. WAY i, mean you go To Marvin mims by.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
Default, WELL i mean that's the only WAY i can phrase.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
It like we Forgot Marvin mims existed all, year and
then he comes out has the most receiving yards of
any player in THE nfl last week when he goes
eight for eight on catches to targets and has nearly
one hundred yards of a.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Touchdown, well that just shows and demonstrates his ability in
a vertical passing, game which could have been built up
to this, point could have been a major.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Threat but now by the fault your, words he's being.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Thrust into action and we have to see how much
they're going to target him in this particular.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Game, yeah the main part of the main other receiver
In New england's attack Was Mac. Hollins now he's been
on the injured reserve uh and So Keishaw boodie has
been the guy that has has sort of stepped, up
is the second guy. There he's had forty six targets

(25:28):
on the, season five hundred fifty one yards and six.
Touchdowns he is outside Of Hunter, henry he's the guy
they go to in the red.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Zone well also they they've at times this season received
some quality play from The mario d douglasxcuse. Me so once,
again IT'S i know it seems as though on the,
surface looking at this wide receiver group that it's not
a lot of depth and they're not going like six.
Deep but with the players that they, have each one

(25:55):
of them knows their row and they excel well in
those particular.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Roles let me give you a stat for you On Keisha.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Boody every ball that he has caught this season has
either gone for a first down or a touchdown every single.
Reception that is an extraordinary. Stat every time he catches the,
ball it's either a first down or a. Touchdown all
thirty three is when you.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Say that who's probably going to get the duty of covering.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Him right the Moss so you know that that's going
to be one of those interesting things that will have
to keep your ri on that, matchup as it, were
because that is something that that they've figured. Out now
he's he's only played fourteen games on the, season missed a,
few he started, ten but he has been the guy
over there at THE z and he has been money
in the bank for them in terms of being their

(26:46):
most successful.

Speaker 6 (26:48):
Receiver LIKE i, said the idea that the idea that
most that all.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Of your catches would have gone for That to put that,
Perspective Courtland, sutton who leads The broncos in first downs
and touchdowns as fifty nine first down touchdowns combined right
on seventy four. Receptions to put that in, perspective Like Courtland,
sutton who is you know by you, know when he
catches the, ball it's pretty much going to be a
first down or, touchdown, right, yeah except that there's quite you,

(27:17):
know the accept that he does about a seventy five
percent rate on That rokey shan body has one hundred
percent success rate first downs and touchdowns every time you
Touch you know what.

Speaker 3 (27:25):
Also is something that's going to be interesting to pay
attention to is u yak yards yards have to?

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Catch?

Speaker 3 (27:32):
Right which group that can flip these receptions into long positive?
Games because an, explosive LIKE i, said is ten yards
and more, so can you take a five yard curl
and turn it up and turn it into more positive?

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Yards and which which would.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
End up meaning is though your your quarterback is on
a shorter few now your officer coordinator was The broncos
or it's The. Patriots now you can dig more into
your bag and be a little more creative with your
game plan and the way you call passing.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Routes, right and you know in case, Show booty by the,
way averages sixteen point seven yards per touch sixty he
averages basically seventeen yards every time he touches the, ball
which he kind of tell you he's.

Speaker 6 (28:17):
There he's their main explosives, guy him And Kyle.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
Williams When Kyle williams get on the, Field Kyle wiams
get on the, field is not going to be a short.
Pass he's going deep and so that that's something to
kind of keep your eye on as this. Goes in
terms of overall receiving court, Depth i'd say it's pretty.
SIMILAR i might give a little edge to The broncos,
here but the tight ends well based on depth or
skill set. BOTH i, mean if you sit there and weigh.
THEM i, Mean Stefan diggs is probably the biggest, name

(28:41):
But Stefan diggs isn't the same.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
Player that he, was you know a few years. Ago
he's he's just not.

Speaker 3 (28:48):
You.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
KNOW i mean he's thirty two years. Old he's not
the same player he was five six years.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Ago he's still a good, player a dangerous, player but
he's not quite the same player that he used to.
Be as far as that stuff, GOES i would say
that the tight end room for The patriots.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Is better than The.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
BRONCOS i, mean when you Have Evan ingram And Adam
troutman up Against, Hunter henry And Austin. HOOPER i would
suggest that The patriots have a better tight end room
than we.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Do how many touchdowns if The broncos tight end score this?

Speaker 1 (29:16):
YEAR i would have to go back and, Look i'm
not sure off the top of my. Head Evan ingram
had what? One and then you Had troutman had, one
AND i Think Nate atkins had.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
One so fully the same amount of touchdown receptions That
Frank crumb.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Has, yes so, Yes so The broncos touchdown, room The broncos.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Tight end room combined for three. Touchdowns hooper has two by.
Himself Haunter henry has another what? Seven as far as
that goes when they get in the red, zone He's
he's the guy they're looking at first and.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
Foremost So i'm going to.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Toss out maybe some more tom foolery inside the red
zone by The Denver broncos Because Frank krem was. Involved
they made you Fake crumb when they come into their
their heavy.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Personnel and maybe.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
This time the touchdown reception goes To Garrett bowles who
had an opportunity in That giants.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Game can we? Not can we just run it second?
One can we just get to pick up the.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
Yard we just a little.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
MAN i Know Sean payton was trolling me BECAUSE i
posted that thing On twitter About Frank crumb gold line
fade on second.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
One but can we just can we just run it one?

Speaker 3 (30:23):
Yard see it once, again it's trying to Break tennessees
because he's in The, TENNESSEES i mean in the red.
Zone the tennessee is to run the, ball, right that's
that's a very high percentage.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Play but the idea is we don't do, that.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
Though the tendency is we're going to throw the, ball
put do something utterly ridiculous hand off though it's the
fake hold of it's all a fake handoff because you
get inside the.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Five we're just not handing it.

Speaker 3 (30:49):
Off see, Now Chris payton is going to surprise you've
been by lining up and doing, off and it's gonna
hand it.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
Off he's not gonna Have jarrett.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
Stead him out there lead blocking For Courtland sutton trying
to throw.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
It Garrett, Bowles, listen there's a heavy chance of if
The broncos were to go to, that pull the, guard
get them out if it's like a five yard situation
and Let stitny actually. SCORE i go back to my,
listen just follow me for a. Second what if we
HEARD i, mean we Got Ryan, edwards we got remas.
This we have so many Fans Mario.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Ptanzy all of them.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Changing there aren't avatars For stitty and he's Been Coach
pain has been, saying elevator Round. Stitty you think he's
gonna miss out on an opportunity to Let stitty run
into the end.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Zone, oh we all know that it's going to be
some absurd ridiculousness instead of just handing the ball TO.
Jk dobbins or McLoughlin Or harvey or any one of
these backs that you have and just.

Speaker 2 (31:43):
Letting them pick the yard.

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Up because, look it may not make sense to a
lot of, people but it makes sense to, me right
because If stitty was to pull the ball down five
yards run.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
It into the end.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Zone, now everything you've been saying all week is now happening.
Live and now you were telling the crowd to, yeah
when the opposing offense is in a, huddle just what they.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
Do, Now, yeah you can be fired up if anybody
scores a, Touchdown no, no, no, no no no no
no uh not if anyone scores If steady, scores the
crowd is gonna go. Nuts he'll get his come if
you got a, zero if you got a zero with no,
middle no you, know No.

Speaker 6 (32:22):
Mike mirroring you or.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Anything, yeah they're, Great, GRANT i, mean did you follow
me thus? Far with all fill up with With Staatey
if he scores inside the red zone on a boot?
Leg do you not think That, Broncos, country everyone in
in power field are gonna go?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
NUTS i think they will go. Nuts BUT i ALSO
i hate to be a. BREMACIST i agree With ben
a little bit that it doesn't matter who. Scores if
we're scoring in THE Nfc championship, game people are gonna
lose their.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Mind that's What i'm.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Saying this doesn't matter Who's Ane atkins can, no, no, No,
look if anyone else, scores, yes they're gonna cheer because,
yeah he's going to testdown against the page with.

Speaker 2 (32:59):
Jas stick it.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
Right but the whole, idea If, steady with all the,
hoopla all the, fanfare all the fact that people are
changing their, avatars these scars they say it, happens going
to open the. DRIVE i, mean you're not gonna be
able to contain all the energy inside Of Empire. Field
it's gonna spontaneously Combust.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
It's a good.

Speaker 4 (33:20):
Thing it's an open roof stadium so it doesn't get
all trapped in.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
There and we got all those towels to beat out
the flames from the spontaneous. Combustion second exploding in The. MIDWEST,
o my, god all the people of miss lad most,
so all my whole. Life it's regularly negative twenty. Years
twees aren't gonna. Explode that Was, yeah that Whole internet thing.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
Is it's.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Fantastic but, anyway we'll get to the. Defense we come.
Back Broncos Country.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
