Speaker 1 (00:00):
Him back to some more post Colorado Buffalo's late night
solo edition Broncos Country Tonight Holding down the Fort It's
Zach Siegers and man, I'm just excited. There's so much
good Bronco stuff to get into. And we're into draft
season now, a little less excited about that, but it's
it's another exciting new uh uh element of this to

(00:22):
start dissecting and getting into. And to get into it,
let's head on over to the KOA Common Spirit Health Hotline,
where we're joined by Joe Dalyon of A to Z Sports.
Can find him over on Twitter at Joe Dalyon. You
can also find him as the host of the Refino
and Joe Show and Hack City podcast to get all

(00:45):
your NFL coverage needs met.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Joe, how are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
I'm doing really good. It's been it's been a nice
little relaxed relaxation since the craziness of the Senior Bowl.
But bring me a better time of year as things
start pick up with the draft process and starting to
dig more and more into this class.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, this is always such a fun time of years.
Start the Senior Bowl feels like that jumping off point
to start turning the focus towards the draft.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
You know you were down there Inmobile.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
What was your general takeaway about this crop of Senior
Bowl players and how it stacks up against other classes
you've seen in the past.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yeah, just in general, with this year's draft class, it's
admittedly a bit of an underwhelming one compared to just
a lot of the previous years that I've evaluated classes.
It doesn't have a lot of blue chip players at
the top, and those that are kind of being described
as the clearcut best prospects maybe wouldn't be up in

(01:46):
that same category with other classes. And those guys that
have been discussed right now are Jeremiah Love, the running
back for Notre Dame, Kale Downs, the safety from Ohio State,
and maybe we could throw in there. Rbl Reef, the
linebacker hybrid defender from Ohio State. Outside of that, it's
a lot of solid guys I think are going to

(02:08):
be good starters. In the back end of the first
round is going to be filled with a lot of
players that would typically be maybe mid to late second
round prospects in other years. Then we could sit here
and probably talk for an hour. Now what led to
this where guys are more inclined to stay if they're
getting nil money instead of jumping into the draft with uncertainty.
If there's money available to you, it's better to go

(02:29):
to another school or to stick around and to develop
and cash that check. This year's Senior Bowl class, for
that reason, I thought it was pretty underwhelming. I didn't
think it was a group that was particularly impressive. I
think that there were some prospects that really really stood
out that caught my attention. But one of the things

(02:51):
that really I felt kept getting brought up when I
was talking with either other media folks that weren't there
or were there about what they saw out of the group,
or just other people that I spoke to when I
was Inmobile. The resounding belief was, Man, this feels like
one of the most disappointing, disappointing, seems a little harsh,
but one of the most underwhelming crop of prospects that
we've had.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Now, with that kind of talent plateau in mind, after
those first few prospects, you listen off, do you think
this is a year the Broncos obviously are picking much
later than they're used to over the last decade or so,
where you know there isn't as much of a difference
between pick thirty and pick fifteen as there typically is.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Well, I think that the better way of describing it
is from pick twenty three to pick sixty four. That's
where there's not much of a difference. There's a solid
group of prospects that I think are from pick twenty
and higher, you know, minus the guys that have just
brought up. There's some really good prospects that I think

(03:52):
are going to go on to be really good players
that typically would be characterized as first round picks or
or at least hovering around it. But where the drop off,
the vast drop off happens is once you get to
that very end of the first round, you're just looking
at a swath of names that would probably go much
later in many other draft classes. Kind Of funny enough,

(04:14):
the A to Z Sports Draft podcast that we recently
launched and started doing with my co host Ryan Roberts
the Broncos, and we got up to the Broncos pick
I was stumped because there really wasn't a good option.
We ended up going with Kayden McDonald, the Ohio State
defensive tackle, and that didn't really feel like it made
a lot of sense because defensive tackle is not a

(04:35):
major need. The only way that you could justify it
is if John Preckamiers doesn't come back in free agency,
and I was lucky that he was on the board.
Otherwise you're kind of in a position where you're taking
guys that would probably be mid to late second round
picks and many other draft classes.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Talking with Joe de Leona of The Raffino and Joe's
Show as well as the Hack City Pot and that
a Z Draft show, you just went with Ryan Roberts,
Joe looking at trying to replace JFM because I think
there is at least a local expectation that he'll leave.
I'm hopeful they can figure something out with the ever
exploding cap, but it does seem like he might look
for a bigger payday elsewhere. Was there anyone, I know

(05:16):
it was a relative or maybe the most exciting position
group at the senior but was the defensive line? Did
anyone on the defensive line stand out as a possible
replacement for that John Franklin Myers role where you know
you're kind of a tweener edge defensive tackle hybrid.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
Yeah, it's really going to be quite tricky. To try
and replace his production, considering how good of a stack
gutter he is, and I think that to this point
it's a bit of a conundrum of how hard is
it going to be to keep him because somebody would
be willing to pay a lot of money with his
jack production. It's so rare for a defensive tackle. I

(05:54):
didn't think that there were necessarily any defensive tackles in
Mobile that might fit exactly that dial one name that
I think is intriguing. If he starts to slide, and
if Denver wanted to trade up, I think that the
idea of Keldric Folk taking over that role would be
really interesting. He's a much bigger defensive end prospect, and

(06:15):
I've always just I felt when I watched this film
and sac production wasn't great, and he's on the heavier side.
The way that he's built, he's got great length. He
just didn't put it all together this year in terms
of his technique, in his hand usage and finishing. I
wonder if he'd be much more productive and successful if
he bumped inside and he bumped up to eighty five

(06:36):
and was a similar build to John freckly Myers. I
think that if there is a possibility to go grab
a guy like that and he slides.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
That would be perfect.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Now he wasn't at the Senior Bowl, but I think
that that would be like the ideal, perfect scenario from
the first round of some of the guys in the
interior if they are just kind of looking to the
bolster things as if itsive tackle and if they're looking
for depth. I thought that Grayson Halton and Rayshawn Benny

(07:05):
from Michigan Halton's from Oklahoma. I thought both those guys
were really really disruptive and we're creating some massive headaches
for the opposing offensive linemen that were trying.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
To block them.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
You mentioned earlier how this is a relatively weaker draft class.
It seems like two of the position groups that are
getting some buzz on the offensive side of the ball,
or I guess on both sides of the ball are
tight end and linebacker, two areas of needs for the Broncos.
Are there any linebackers or tight ends standing out to
you at the Senior Bowl or that stood at you
at the Senior Bowl or throughout this college season.

Speaker 3 (07:39):
Yeah, I think that there's two guys at linebacker that
really caught my attention. Two very different players. Xavian Sorry
from Arkansas inside linebacker who just showed tremendous instincts. His
nose was the line of scrimmage every single play during
team drills. It's really hard to stand out during team
drills because it's usually stud which means that a lot

(08:01):
of the running backs were just in general, you're not
taking guys to the ground, you're kind of just popping them.
But man, he was at the line and ready to
make plays any chance that he had, and he was hitting.
There was one play where he completely blasted a pulling
guard and destroyed the play. Kyle Lewis the linebacker from

(08:22):
Pitt who's a very fluid, rangey coverage guy. Former defensive
backs on the much smaller sized five eleven, much leaner man.
His coverage skills were great. I also thought his instincts
against the run were better than I was expecting. But
he's somebody if you're looking for some depths for a
subpackaged guy on day three, I think that he would

(08:42):
absolutely be perfect. And the tight end group was solid.
I think that there's still in Mobile. I think that
there's still a lot to be desired from the group
that was a mobile. The two players that I really
liked the idea that weren't mobile. That would be really
awesome for the Broncos needs. And maybe one of the

(09:03):
both these guys maybe could be risers to go in
the end of the first round. Max clarifrom Ohio State,
who's very reminiscent of zach Ertz, was a little under
the radar this year, didn't have kind of a degree
of production. I was hoping he woulded Ohio State just
because there was a crowded receiving unit that he was
trying to get targets from. And I think that Eli Stowers,

(09:23):
who's very similar to what Evan Ingram brings.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
So you know, if you're.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Looking for an eventual replacement for Revin Ingram, it might
be a little redundant to bring him in. But I
think that Dowers from Vanderbilt such an explosive player with
the ball in his hands. And we know that Trompaign
historically has loved having athletes like that that he can
team up touches for.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
I fully agree with you on stours. That's been one
I've been circling for a while, especially with the Broncos.
Maybe regretting that Ingram signing and looking to get a
little cheaper there going down to Mobile going to the
Senior Bowl. I know the expectation was it's a weaker
class and whatnot. As we've kind of discussed once again
talking with Joe Dey Leon of The Raffino and Joe Show,
Hack City Pod eight is E Sports Draft Coverage. Eight

(10:05):
is E Sports Draft Podcast. Make sure you're checking all
of his work out over there. What was the thing
at the Senior Bowl down in Mobile that most pleasantly
surprised you? What was maybe the positive to match the
negative of the class being underwhelming?

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Yeah, I think that the biggest that comes away from
one player specifically, and it was a guy who I
really loved in the summer, and it made me really
happy that a lot of things started to come to
fruition for him. The emergence of Caleb Banks, the defensive
tackle from Florida. His explosion on Day two and day

(10:42):
three was such a pleasant surprise. Came into the year
from Florida was ridiculous. Tape Lo was a clone of
Chris Jones, with the size that he has, the bill
that he has, the flexibility at three hundred and thirty
pound guy at six', six moving like he's a two
hundred and eighty pound to been and also aligning on
the edge sometimes For. Florida it's insane what he's capable.

(11:06):
Of got. Heart at the beginning of this, year barely,
played played two. Games at the end of the season
HAD i think had ninety five total. Snaps the film
was impossible to evaluate because he's barely playing and he looks.
Rusty first day of A Senior bowl, rusty it was
rough talking with. People the kind of resounding belief Was,
man it's disappointing because he was somebody who could have

(11:27):
made himself some. Money but, man did he show up
with the remaining two. DAYS i think he really locked.
In his energy was. There he was talking smack to
the opposing offensive, lineman which is. AWESOME i love. That
and the way that he was winning reps was not
only in a dominant, way it was just in this
freakish athletic way that he was exploding in and out of,
breaks and he was getting really having a really good pad.

(11:50):
Level his flexibility was showing up his birth like just
so much of WHAT i loved about him coming into
the season finally came, back AND i tried not to
overreact to senior bow, performances combine, performances BUT i think
it's fair there's always one guy that we can make
an exception, for and also when we apply context that

(12:10):
the discussion is completely. DIFFERENT i Think Caleb banks is
perfect for that because we knew who he. Was he got,
hurt he got the chance to show, up and he
also had the aggressiveness to show up and think about
That i'm going to go there And i'm going to prove,
myself and he did prove. HIMSELF i think it wouldn't
be surprising if he tested out the combine that if
he ends up becoming a top, fifteen top ten pick

(12:33):
when it's all said and, done it really wouldn't shock.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
ME i fully agree with you, There. Kleb banks is
a Guy i've been pounding the table for here In.
Denver it now looks like he probably won't come near
to their range on the. Board where do you think
is that range For Caleb banks when all is said
and done? Ultimately is he a top twenty, guy a
top ten guy like you alluded, to or is there
any chance he slides to the end of the first.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
ROUND i would just be so stunned if he went
after pick, twenty because sometimes when you have these guys
to get hurt for the full, year AND i think
that an example off the TOP i Had jermond McCoy
is this is probably gonna happen with. Him The tennessee
corner WHO i think maybe could have been able to
come back at some point this, year was always, rumored
but there's not really much. Clarity i'm kind of curious

(13:18):
to find out more about that during The combine when
he gets his medical testing. Done but it's not like
him where he didn't play the whole year and now
there's this kind of guess and see and hope that
he's good to. Go he decided to show up at
the end of the season and showed up on a
team that had no head coach with a losing, record
and went out there and, fought and then decided to

(13:39):
go prove himself at The Senior. Bowl AND i think
that if he goes even further and chooses to prove
himself The, COMBINE i think he's solidifying himself as kind
of like alleviating any of those concerns with the injury,
stuff unless there's some sort of major issue that propped
up that caused him to miss time that maybe could be,
chronic who. KNOWS i just find it really hard to

(14:01):
believe that he would end up going later than pick
twenty because of the week that he. Had, again it
might be an, overreaction but having a week like that
and being the guy that everyone's talking about tends to Carry, wait.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
YEAH i think you might be.

Speaker 1 (14:15):
Right it reminds me of like Quinnyon mitchell Or Grey's
abel showing up at The Senior bowl lighting it up
and then having great rookie.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Seasons, NO i, MEAN i think it was a really good.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Example it's really easy to be able to come up
with where there's always that one guy who does well
once everybody got the the questions they're unsure, of and
they show up and it's, like, oh all, right those
questions are.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Answered, absolutely make Sure Broncos country you are following him
and now that we're in draft season At joe De
leona On, Twitter Hack city podcast a is he sports
all the draft coverage over there at his podcast over
there as well as The raffino And Joe.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Show thank you so much for the, Time, joe have
a good.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
One, Well. Sports thanks for having.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Me great stuff there From.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
JOE i love getting the general take on what was
going on in The Senior. BOWL i think it's important
also For broncos country to track The Senior bowl in.
Particular they've gone for a lot of those players in recent.
Years Jeremy crosshaw was A Senior bowl. Guy Pat bryant
was A Senior bowl. Guy R. J, harvey you, Know Karne,
reid The Savean. Jones all these guys that The broncos

(15:19):
drafts last, year In reid's case added as an undrafted pre,
agent came from The Senior. Bowl they like those experienced,
guys those team. Captains Senior, Bowl East West Trine game
has a lot of those. Types something to keep an
eye on In Broncos, country which is why you should
go over TO Koa colorado dot com and check out
my Latest Denver broncos story WHERE i looked at four

(15:43):
of The Senior bowl standouts that make the most sense
for The Denver. Broncos talked about running. BACK i think
makes a lot of sense for them to pair with R. J,
harvey you, know got into a linebacker that could help
round out that. ROOM a defensive lineman had some size up.
FRONT i kind of disagree With shoe. THERE i think
there's a name that makes a lot of sense to

(16:04):
add to this defensive line. Room head on over To,
Koa colorado to check that. Out coming up, next we've
got Some sounds of The week courtesy of our very
Own Anthony rodriguez over At Super Bowl week and we're
going to talk about Bo nix and HOW i think
he's kind of announced himself to the rest of THE

(16:27):
nfl as a guy to watch out. For that's all
coming up next right here On Broncos Country tonight on
eight FIFTY am ninety.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Four to ONE.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
Fm back to some more late Night Broncos Country tonight
With Zach. Seegers wanted to take a bit of a
look at The Super bowl and to do, that we're
going to head on over to THE Koa Common Spirit Health,
hotline where we're joined by our very Own Anthony. Rodriguez

(16:59):
out In San, Francisco Santa, clara The Bay. Area you, know,
however THE nfl wants to market it a. Rod how's
the Super bowl been this?

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Week what's going?

Speaker 3 (17:08):
On my?

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Man, yeah you can really insert any city that you
want in The Bay.

Speaker 5 (17:12):
Area San, Francisco Santa, Clara San, jose AND i probably
have been there because they have spread everything out here
in The Bay. Area so no matter what you, Say,
Zach i've been there probably if it's.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Here that's SOMETHING i kind of wanted to start with. You,
now are it experienced Super bowl?

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Reporter you?

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Know just the TWO i guess with With New orleans in,
here but that's more than just about anyone else In.
America so, now having been to a couple of Different
Super bowl, locals and you know some that are in
the regular rotation at that they go to The Bay
area a good.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Bit New orleans is one of their favorite go.

Speaker 1 (17:45):
Tos how would you compare the two different Super bowl
locals and which did you think is is better or
more preferable for a Super bowl host.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
City, Well i'll definitely be candid and. UNDERSTAND i Love
New orleans AND i loved it already before that trip last.
Year BUT i gotta tell, you, Man San, francisco The
Bay area isn't the most ideal to host The Super
bowl because everything's so spread. Out so the game obviously
is In Santa Clair I Levi. Stadium the media night
On monday was all the way and down In San,

(18:16):
jose which is an hour, plus especially on a media bus,
ride and then all the radio Row Pro bowl games
is In San.

Speaker 4 (18:21):
Francisco everything so spread.

Speaker 5 (18:23):
OUT i understand the politics of, it because you want
to make all of The Bay area.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
Happy all you.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Want to make sure the host committee gets loved from
all different, cities and probably financial help as well for
the committee to fund these. Things but everything being so
spread out is not. Ideal New, orleans everything was a
lot more. Compact the convention center was a lot, better
a lot better equipped for this. Stuff the stadium wasn't
too far and THEN i Hadn't like you, Mentioned New
orleans was my first last. Year vegas was a year before,

(18:50):
that And i've talked to some people here and they
said that was even better than. THAT i, mean every
hotel is equipped to host conferences and, whatnot So vegas
has literally made for. It San francisco is not has
been my. Favorite the city's pretty. Cool the food has been.
Delicious i'm staying In chinatown'm gonna do some Fun chinatown stuff.
Tonight i'm gonna deal on a bus tour tomorrow night
with one of our FORMER koa, Colleagues Joey, jordan who's

(19:12):
working out here.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Now so there's a lot of.

Speaker 5 (19:13):
Cool things to do In San, Francisco but in terms
of the particulars of hosting A Super, bowl not necessarily the.
Best And i'm not the only person that said. That
i've heard that commons sentiment shared by quite a few media.
Members so not the favorite of Any.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
That's kind of the VIBE i was picking up on.

Speaker 3 (19:29):
There.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
NOW i don't think you'll be one of the favorites
Of Dave portnoy after you got into it with him
over Star patriots Quarterback Drake May. ANTHONY i know people
can see it on social, media but why don't you
take us through that.

Speaker 5 (19:42):
Exchange, yeah so to give you the, timeline like you, said,
yeah opening, NIGHT i Asked Will, campbell The patriots left
tackle On opening, night so he's one of the players
that is walking. Around he wasn't on one of the,
ten ten or twelve, podiums so he's one of the
players walking. Around AND i thought it was a totally fair.
Question you, know, hey you Know Drake, may you know
didn't have the greatest, performance you know against That ronco's.
Defense do you think he needs to bounce back in

(20:02):
the big game coming up On, sunday and he, goes you, Know,
dotty if he played, FINE i don't think he needs
to bounce. BACK i didn't dive in further because typically
in these, interactions it's usually one question for these, players SO.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
I could have gone a whole lot.

Speaker 5 (20:15):
Longer, WELL i got my fill With Dave, portenoy SO
i literally this this. Afternoon so first THING i do
is walk, IN i get my gear set up inside
the radio row here and boom There's Dave poynoy with
a massive media scrum around.

Speaker 4 (20:29):
Him So i'm, like you, KNOW i want to jump
in this.

Speaker 5 (20:31):
THING i get my camera up in, there and little
DID i, KNOW i was about to do amano imano
toe to, toe a little matchup with the with the
barstool president. Himself he also doesn't Think Drake may needs
to necessarily bounce. Back as a matter of, fact WHEN
i told him, WHAT i, Asked Well, campbell AND i,
said don't you think he needs to bounce? Back dave,
said incredibly dumb, question and it went on to basically

(20:52):
Defend drake's performance make it clear That patriots vander are
following back on quarterback wins, now which is always when
you know that a quarterback had a bad, performance when
that's what they want to talk. About you Mentioned Tom
brady not winning In denver in the, playoffs so instead
of going on the, performance he mentioned the, weather AND i, said,
well in that first, half The broncos defense was playing

(21:12):
pretty darn.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
Well and then he, goes, well it's.

Speaker 5 (21:14):
About the entire, game you, know Did Tom brady need
to bounce back from the tuck rule?

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Game so it was a fun.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
INTERACTION i appreciate the time because obviously he's polarizing whether
you like, him whether you. Don't it was a fun
interaction and quarterback.

Speaker 4 (21:27):
Wins.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Zach that's where we're at now With Drake. May so
we'll see if they get that quarterback win coming up On.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
Sunday, YEAH i.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Guess Drake may's best even in the eyes Of Dave,
portnoy means getting outdueled By Jared. Stidham you, KNOW i
feel like it out with some of these guys kind
of hurt themselves with their own, arguments just own it
wasn't his best day and hopefully he is better in
The Super. BOWL i don't think that should be a
hard one to. OWN i think good on you for
holding his feet to the fire, there Bo. Nix the

(21:54):
conversation has been much more positive around him this. Week
it feels like maybe his ankle injuries what it took
for national media to give him some love and own
what he needs to This broncos. Offense you've talked to you,
Know Matt hasselbeck while you're out.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
There you talked TO, U, Yes Drake.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
May his opinion on Bo, nicks the opinion at least
that we've seen on social media from your clips and
everything on Bow knicks around the, league seems to be
much more positive than we're used to.

Speaker 4 (22:22):
Seeing, yeah, no, absolutely it's it's.

Speaker 5 (22:25):
Ironic like you, said we heard all season, long Bo
knicks isn't that. GOOD i remember before the Season Colin
coward maybe, saying, oh maybe The broncos will get somebody.

Speaker 4 (22:33):
ELSE i, mean we heard it all all season. Long
and then of course.

Speaker 5 (22:36):
When bonix goes, down like you, said oh, suddenly The
broncos are absolutely. Toase, well it's either He's bnicks is
really really, bad or he's really good and they'll miss.
Him so the narrative of course shifted when he broke his.
Ankle but, yeah like you, said the narrative out, here
you Mentioned Matt, hasselbeck he said he's one of the
most underrated, quarterbacks has been for two. Years you Mentioned
Drake may looking forward to those matchups with. Him they

(23:00):
The patriots play THE afc wes next, year so we'll
get that. Matchup everyone's been, saying you, know the common
SENTIMENT i think everyone, Understands zach is If bonix is
playing that, game majority of people understand that The Denver.

Speaker 4 (23:11):
BRONCOS a lot of.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
Our team here AT kawa are probably here In San
francisco covering The broncos taking on The seahawks instead of The,
Patriots so you, know hopefully won't go down as one
of the greatest what ifs in sports history if The
broncos go on to. Win if they don't eventually in
the Bo nicks, era obviously will always look back on,
that on the ending of That bill's game and what
could have been AN afc championship.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
Game that's been the common.

Speaker 5 (23:35):
Sentiment everyone's been super high On bonnick's, talk talking them,
up and you, KNOW I Mike turko even, mentioned you,
know it's better when The broncos are IN nfl prominence
WHEN i chatted with him about. It, so, yeah the
bron people understand The broncos future is very. Bright bonis
at the, forefront and people need to stick to a
narrative when it comes to whether bo is good or.

Speaker 4 (23:54):
No that's definitely the vibe out.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Here there's a pretty Good broncos presence out, there it,
seems you, know you've got a lot Of broncos was
there for The Pro bowl, obviously Some denver, media some
some fans showing their support as. Well between The seahawks
And patriots, fans, though what are you. Expecting is this
going to be A seahawks crowd A patriots crowd or
or closer to fifty to fifty On.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
Sunday, OH i think a big advantage to The seahawks
just walking In opening, night so they have the, fans
which is really interesting this year unlike again another, comparison
Unlike New, orleans where at the opening night last year
was in The Super, dome so the fans were up
in the stands like they would be for a game
at opening. Night excuse, me At opening night this year
down In San jose in a convention, center they had

(24:35):
the fans on the floor with the. Media you can
imagine how much we all felt like. Sardines but when
they were announcing the teams going up on the, podium
for the fans that were in the, building when they
announced The patriots, players there were a rain down of
booze upon the. Fans now excuse, me upon the. Team
now mind, you they did announce this is the, tenth, twelve, thirteenth,

(24:58):
fifteenth or Whatever Super bowl Appearance, patriots so they kind
of helped the fans understand it's time to. Boo but
all Around San francisco as, well it seems like a
lot More seahawks, fans which is kind of, surprising you.
Know you, know location, wise The seahaws are obviously lot,
closer BUT i feel like nationwide there are just a
lot More patriots. Fans i'm surprised more of a contingent
didn't make their. Way but, again you know that Was.

(25:20):
Monday today Is, wednesday so maybe as the week, Progresses
patriots fans are busy In New england doing their, things
so maybe they'll make it. HERE i, Mean Dave portanoy
led the, charge it looks like For patriots, fans so
maybe that'll change as the week goes, on but so
far it's been a big ADVANTAGE i would, say like
maybe seventy thirty in favor Of seahawks.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Fans speaking here with our very Own Anthony rodriguez over
At Super Bowl week in The Bay. Area, Ay, ROD
i know you've talked about not being super excited for
This Super. Bowl is that the general sentiment you've gathered
for maybe the media, there fans, there what. Not Obviously
patriots And seahawks fans are going to be into. It

(25:58):
but it felt like last year when you were at
This Super, bowl it was this clash of The, titans
this Amazing eagles team going up against A chiefs team
that seemingly couldn't lose last year and and just was
on the verge of becoming one of the NFL's greatest
dynasties in their own. Right this, year it seems a
lot more low. Wattage do you think that's consensus at

(26:19):
The Super? Bowl?

Speaker 4 (26:21):
YEAH i think.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
SO i think this is one of those years where it's,
like all, right well this is what we've. Got you,
know on the on THE afc, side you don't Have Pat,
mahomes you don't Have Josh. Allen you don't Have Joe,
burrow some of those guys looking for their first. Appearance
you don't Have Bo, nicks who's another up and coming
quarterback sharing the class with the draft class With Drake
May on THE nfc, side no one could have seen
this come in The seahawks taking what was then looked

(26:42):
at as a as kind of a you, know maybe
a dart throw at. Can Sam darnell, continued the success
that you had From, Minnesota so you, know you don't
have The, rams you don't have The, eagles you don't
have those powerhouse teams in this in this in this.
Game so it seems like a lot of other media
members are you, know trying to manufactures to kind of
get excited about this. Game you, KNOW i think it's

(27:02):
looking on the past of what The patriots done in
the last couple of. DECADES i think it's looking at The,
seahawks you, know from from from twenty, thirteen those those
couple of years of success there With Russell. Wilson it
feels like it's kind of more well rounded on the
franchises in terms of the, narrative.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Less so about this particular.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
GAME i think people have honed in on you, Know
Drake may up and coming easy young Quarterback Sam donald
had great. Stories he's gone from you, know franchise to,
franchise the comeback, story so you, Know Matt hasselbeck talked
very highly of.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
What Sam donald's been able to.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Do but, overall it doesn't it doesn't feel like the
ex's and most particular of the. Game it's kind of
the historical nature of what these franchises have done over
the last couple of. Decades so so, yeah it's been
a bit forced because this isn't That David, verskalia that
epic showdown that we typically see in The Big.

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Game all, right A, Rod BEFORE i let you, GO
i want to get your prediction for The Big. Game
who do you have, winning what's your maybe score expectation for?
It and then also what can you know the people
find on koe social media is the rest of the
week from?

Speaker 5 (28:01):
You, well first of, ALL i don't have a score just,
yet but it's going to Be patriots are going to
be getting killed by a couple of Touchdowns i've Got
i've got The seahawks big in this. GAME i think
it finally comes to a. Head you, Know Dave portnoy
didn't want to talk about the strength of, schedule didn't
want to talk about How Drake may has struggled through the.
Postseason definitely In, denver but it's gonna come to a.

(28:21):
HEAD i think The seahawks are just gonna outmatch. THEM
i think their defense is just way too. DOMINANT i
think they're gonna they're gonna penetrate that offensive. Line Will
campbell on the left side is needed. Help the guards
needed help as, Well SO i Think Drake may is
gonna have a, very very long. DAY i Think Jackson
Smith smith And jigba is gonna just absolutely terrorize that
defense as. WELL i Know Christian gonzalez is very, good

(28:41):
BUT i think if they are really creative and Moving jason,
AROUND i think THAT i think The seahawks are gonna.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
WIN i think they're gonna win. Big you, Know.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
Zach sharbona being OUT i thought would be it's gonna
have quite the big of an impact because he's a
big touchdown.

Speaker 4 (28:53):
Maker they like to do a lot of stuff with
him in short.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
Yardage but, hey it's time For Kenneth walker to go
out there and showcase and and maybe get himself any.
Paid it here in the, offseason SO i like The seahawks,
big at least by, ten maybe even fourteen. Points SO
i got The seahawks in terms of what's going on social.
Media so On tuesday we had THE Nbc Sports Media,
day which was really. FANTASTIC i got a chance to
talk With Mike, Jerico Chris, Collinsworth Mike, Florio Jason. GARRETT

(29:20):
i even Asked Matthew berry who fancy football owner should
target in terms Of broncos. Player so all of that's
on our social media AT Ka. Colorado But, zach the
highlight of it, IS i will fall on the. Sword
If chris Collins worth Mentions Patrick mahomes in The Super
Bowl blok, BROADCAST i can take a lead partial to
blame BECAUSE i asked, Him, hey you're such a good

(29:40):
sport about all the viral memes over the, years you,
know and most notably the slide in alongside his play
by play. Announcer AND i, said along those, lines what
do you think about those? Anytime bets of you Mentioning
Pat mahomes in the Broadcast and he literally looks at, Me,
zach and he, goes you, KNOW i might, Say Patrick
Mahomes mahomes'. NAME i don't even know why now that

(30:01):
you've planted the seed in my. Head, YEAH i, know
maybe you have the over on. It i'm, like you've
got to be kidding. Me so if he Mentions, MAHOMES
i might be to. Blame So Broncos, Country you're welcome at.
ME I anthony rod thirty three On. Twitter i'll take. It
i'll take it if you Mentioned mahomes in The Big.
GAME i will now take partial responsibilities actly because APPARENTLY
i planted the.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Seed, wow maybe making some people very wealthy too with
that that prop bet advice going out a bad. Man,
Hey i'm curious to see now what is the line
movement bed since you posted that clip on social media
a few hours, AGO i need to go see. That
thanks as always for joining, us A, rod and have
a great time out there at the Super.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
Bowl appreciate, You, zach thank, you.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Thank you A.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Rod that was our very Own Anthony rodriguez down At
Super Bowl. Week make sure you head on over to
our social medias and see all the stuff he's putting out.
There we talked about a little bit of, it and
we had the Hassle beck clip earlier and they drink
may clip earlier when talking about Bo, nix but makes
sure you head over to the social media is to

(31:02):
get everything he's. Posting there a lot of it we
could even get. Into had a special media party AT
Ea sports behind the scenes and got to see a
ton of the stuff they're working. On they even like
body scanned him in TWO Ea. Sports he's got a
Mad in trading card, now so all sorts of cool
stuff over there that you should be checking. OUT i
wanted to use his trip to The Super bowl as

(31:24):
a little transition to to you, know talk a little
Super bowl at the end of this segment. Here you,
KNOW i alluded to it at the end of the,
interview AND i think there's truth to it that this
is a less exciting Super, BOWL i think than some
of the ones we've had in recent.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
Years the you, know The chiefs.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
And you Know niners Or eagles battles felt like juggernauts
going at, it and this year doesn't quite feel that.
Way BUT i do think there's still some very interesting,
matchups you, know like The patriots have been this elite
play action team or elite defensive stopping the play action all.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
Year The seahawks are so great on the play action.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Pass we've Seen Jackson smith And jig but have a
just dominant year on those you, know play action concepts
With Clint. Kubiak you, know what does that matchup end
up looking? Like you, know The seahawks have a really
vulnerable interior of their offensive. Line The patriots have a
great interior defensive. Line so as much as you, KNOW

(32:27):
i do agree With, AROD i think this should be
a one sided battle that The seahawks kind of. DOMINATE
i think there are some matchups that could swing it
for The patriots like, that that disparity of talent on the.
Interior we, know If Sam donald gets pressured and starts
to melt down a little, bit things can get ugly For.

(32:48):
Seattle he can you, know turnovers can come and bunches for.
Him patriots should be able to create interior pressure fairly, easily,
Right that could be a huge turning point in this.
One you, know, obviously if The seahawks aren't able to
pass protect For Sam, darnold and another element here is
not Having Zach, sharbonay something A rod talked. About he's

(33:10):
a great pass. Protector Kenneth walker isn't you don't have
sharbon a for this. Game The patriots have been blitzing
at the highest rate of any team in the. Postseason
you know what does that look? Like it's kind of
an interesting strength on weakness matchup that again could swing
things In New england's. Favor that, SAID i think The
seahawks win by multiple. SCORES i think this will, be you,

(33:32):
know a twenty three to Six seahawks win that is
pretty dominant For seattle wire to, wire but also probably
not a overly memorable Super. Bowl coming, Up i'm going
to get into how The broncos can get to The
Super bowl and you, know make a few tweaks to
the roster so they're ready to lift That Lombardi. Trophy

(33:54):
and we still Got joe De leone of a TO
Z sports coming on in a little to talk about
The Senior, bowl some of the standout prospects there and
who The broncos should be targeting in the, draft a
little early draft preview for you. Guys all that and
more coming up On Broncos country tonight right here ON
koa eight fifty am ninety four ONE.
