on that list and how much higher do you think
he can still climb?

I feelive you climb really high on that list because
you say you got him rate ten tenth. Okay, Now,
obviously Miles Garrett was phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
He played on a horrible team.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
The thing that helps Nick Benito, there's two things, the
Broncos being able to run.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
The ball and being able to score the ball at
a high clip.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Because because of that, all the teams facing the Broncos,
he just can't sit back.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
You run the ball.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Now, I'm the Quarterback's got to drop the ball back,
giving Nick Benito ample the amount of time to kind
of get his numbers up. So I believe that can
happen because I'm playing trust in the Broncos offense being
better statistically and the run game being much better in
twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
Yeah, I mean Benito's uh, He's definitely a top ten
edge rusher, but I get in the top five, I
guess you're not gonna get ahead of Parsons or Garrett
if they're healthy, just because those guys are animals will
and now yeah, I need a little step back too,
and to me Anderson Parsons and get those I mean
they're never blocked like they're blocked, and they're never blocked, you.

Like Nick Nick Benito is a very good edge rusher,
but not quite at that eschelot. And he's like the
echelon right below that, so you know you could I
think he answer highs you can get there would be
like something tough five.

I'm not buying with ben selling because, like I told you,
if this offense, hey, they're scoring top numbers up, guess
what second numbers.

Go up as well the production.

But I'm just saying, on a snap to snap basis,
if you had, if you absolutely had to have it,
you've got to have a sack you got whatever you're
taking those other guys before you're taking a Nick boddo
in all things being equal, moment.

Were also trying to acquire him back when the Patriots
wound up trading him to the Jags. Why do you
think San Francisco has had such a drawl to Mac Jones?

Would the forty nine ers be better off now had
they drafted Jones instead of.

Lance, Well, you would have party so right, No, I think.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I mean, and Max Jones is okay, but I mean
he's not really he even a starting aliber quarterback in
this league.
Speaker 4 (07:01):
Guy, I don't know. I think you'd probably start for
the Browns. Oh yeah, but you know, I mean you Browns.

Mcferguson could dust the cleats off and go start for
the Browns a quarterback, a position he ever played, if
you wanted to, maybe and'd be successful. I look, I'd
mean Max. Kyle Shannan's liked Mac Jones since he since
he you know, got to know him during that run
up in that draft.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
I I mean, I don't know the Niners would be better.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I mean, honestly, I think the Trey Lance thing ended
up working out for him when all said that anyway,
because they back doored their win to Brock party same
way when Mike was in Washington, they went after RG
three and back door their way to Kirk Cousins.
Speaker 3 (07:36):
I'll say this, mag Jones is a perfect fit in
San Francisco.
Speaker 2 (07:40):

Sannahan was with the Washington Commanders when they had Kirk Cousins.
So when you look at Meg Jones, it's another version
or younger version of Kirk cuss.

A little athleticism, not a lot.

But you know, a guy who can actually keep the
offense in rhythm. And when Brock Pritty went out, what
did we see.

We saw Mac.

Jones step up to a point that most people are like,
you know what.

Maybe he should be on start. I'm like, man, you
sit the hell down.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
No, no, no, But it is his approach to the
game that makes Kyle Shanahan fall in love with him.
But if you were to go to Mic Jones, right away,
he wouldn't have been the player he is at this
particular moment.

For ANFL dot com list, Kyler Murray, Walter, Nolan cam Ward,
and Jonathan Grenard among players most primed to take a
big leap.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
In twenty twenty six. Which Broncos players do you think
are most likely to make a big leap this season?
Speaker 2 (08:35):
Ooh, I'm going to say RJ Harvey, right, because what
do we see of RJ Harvey last year?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Right? I mean when you talk about running the ball,
some people criticize him and saying that he was part
of the Broncos walls, But all I know anytime they
got inside the red zone area, who were they finding
ways to give the ball to? And his ability to
catch the ball out of the backfield based on the
matchups how they was schematically.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
He put together to me, I see another big year
for him.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
I had two names for you and he was a
Rique and Jonah Ellis.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
I think it's a prime year for both those guys
get the jump off, especially with John Cooper's legal stuff.
Speaker 4 (09:13):
Jonah Ellis could be prime for a big season.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
On the foot side of Ed was a Rik probably
the fourth guy in that rotation as the team will
move on from DJ Jones after this Year's probably gonna
give plenty of run. They want to get a good
look at him. He'll had the opportunity to produce it.
He's been great since he came back from that gambling suspension.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
Then I'd like Jonah Ellis as a pick.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
So I don't know how much we're gonna see improvement
out of r J.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Harvey.
Speaker 5 (09:34):
And maybe we will see improvement, but I don't know
how much that will translate to the field with Jonah
Coleman being added. So I think he's going to get
a lot of those snaps.

But here's what you're discounting the level of competition, right,
because if you think about RJ.

Harvey, he's no relatively new to the running back He's.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
Still new, but guess what, there's a familiarity that he
has that would give him somewhat walking through the door
a slight advantage over Joe on A Coleman.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
But that is a position. He's just got to go
take it. But I believe he'd be much better.

This season five.

This week on The Rush with Max Crosby podcast, Fernando
Mendoza said that Clint Kubiak reminds him of Kurt Signetti.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yeah, it's pretty simple. I win Google me. What do
you make of that comparison?
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Will Clint Kubiak's Raiders enjoy a larger or smaller jump
and wins than Signetti did in his first season seven
and a half win improvement?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
So the Raiders were three and fourteen last year. They're
not with it ten games. That's roster's not with it
ten games this year.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
The entire Chiefs, Chargers and Broncos going to you know,
gonna get kidnapped.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
All three starting quarterbacks go down with the season. Like, hey,
come on, I like the bare bones of what the
Raiders have started. Like I think that they're building shopping.
Speaker 1 (10:52):
There and you know, in a season and a half
two seasons, they probably competitive, But right now they're the
doorm out of the AFC West.
Speaker 4 (10:58):
So no, you're not going to get to ten and
a half wins or whatever. What do you think of
the comparison from Mendoza, Well, I.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
Like the comparison because here's what we're talking about, and
there's a failure in the professional sports, especially football, when
it comes to this accountability, right and a certain discipline
that a coach puts in place. And here's the other part,
looking at a scheme that is really detailed and catered
to a player's skill set. And I know that sounds
ridiculous to me saying is, but there are a lot
(11:27):
of individuals who are scheming and dying drawing a place
that they scheme the plays for themselves how they would
think if they were playing. But you're not playing, it's
to play on the field. So I've been around Clint
Kubiak and I know the way that he's going to
try to put things together for his young quarterback. So
familiarity is key for sure.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Over under in Vegas right now is five and a
half wins for the Raiders. You think they're over five
and a half.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yes, I'm gonna say yes, I'm gonna go over.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
I'm gonna say five wins for the Raiders.

No longer say it over because they're gonna catch a
team slipping and the team is gonna think, well, this.

The USA versus Belgium Round of sixteen game had a
total American audience of forty two million, more than twenty
twenty more than the twenty twenty five NFL Divisional round
game average. Were you surprised that this many Americans were
watching and would you consider this run in the World
Cup by the US a success?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
I would consider its success And I wasn't really surprised
because soccer has become somewhat of a sport that fans
can kind of embrace.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
And once again it was World club.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
We're not talking about MLS, We're talking about your country
versus another country, and I like to think that even
though there were a lot of Americans rooting against a
team USA based on the thing that happened with Belligan,
but I think for the most part, you know, most
Americans were cheerful, they were happy.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Like when they beat Bosnia outside of San Francisco, you saw.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
All the fans out there, yelling and screaming, people throwing
up their babies and all of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
They embodied the American spirit. So I like that.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
I mean, if it generates interest, so be it, I
think hopefully. But the problem is in the problem will
always remain to be the reason of the unisons and
competitive soccer reasons that our best athletes play other sports
as part of it. We charge, you know how much
it costs to play soccer as a kid in America
versus in Norway they pay their kids at fourteen, we're.
Speaker 4 (14:09):
Paying We're paying twenty grand. They're paying them twenty grand.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
So it's it creates like soccer is popular in the
world over because it's the cheapest sport to play. You
could play it anywhere. You could set up goals anywhere.
All you need is a ball, right, and you could
you could play barefoot in right, is the cheapest sport
to play. You don't have to have pads, you don't
have to have skates, you don't have to have a rink,
you don't have to have a specialized diamonds at bats
and you know, it's one ball and figure out how
(14:32):
you set up goals and you can you can do that.
The United States has found a way to make it expensive,
and unfortunately, as long as that is the case, it's
going to continue to not be accessible with our best
athletes to go other places.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
I mean, all of that being true, I mean you
had to love the fact that how so many American
citizens who never really liked soccer, like Ben you know
what too.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
I love the fact that you guys like I get.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Hey know you love guarana or gonorrhea or whatever that
game is in Girona.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Yeah, that's what it is.

Do you think the way they lost, though, like getting
just completely beat down by Belgium kind of like tempers
the interest in the in the fervor that was around soccer.
I mean, maybe in four years it'll pick back up
and it'll be forgotten. But I think there was a
lot of animosity towards the United States and.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
I think Belgium got a chip on their shoulder for
that game. I think there was a lot of animosity
about oh, you.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Guys got a player to get get to come back,
you know, I think there was I think it was
a lot of motivation. And you know, there was an
interesting moment in that game. United States tied it up
with one and we watched Belgium just catch them nappen.
They were celebratedly. Yeah, still celebrate Belgium was like looking
at it by that just started right down there and
put it the goal.
Speaker 3 (15:50):
See what that is an example of a team or
a country that's not used to being in that spot.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Where I'm going with it.

We see the women do it, and they did.

to kind of catch up to it. But yeah, I
mean when you had not done something before and it's
something that Bill parcels us appreciate all.
