it kind of was the house that Tips built, but
Brown put him over the top. And you know, because
that's one of those things like you look back at
the Broncos with the you know, with the Super Bowl fifty,
and I'm like, it kinda is the house that John
Fox built, but Coops took him over the top.
Speaker 5 (30:27):
Well, I mean, let's be totally honest, there was a
little more to that than just.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Ooh swapping of coaches, because.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
You have to give Kobe at credit because at that
point Peyton Manning was not himself.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Right with John Fox.
Speaker 5 (30:43):
I would say that you had a better Peyton Manning,
but Peyton at that time and super well fifty, he
was not himself. So that was a big effort by everyone,
including Peyton and just kind of acquiescent to its backup quarterback, right,
because think about that, Could you in that situation do
(31:07):
that same thing with brought Ostwaller known as though you
were the guy for so many years and then now
you lost a little off your fastball, you had to
sit and watch, and then you were thrown in the
game against the Chargers to be a spark, and then
all of a sudden the team wins the game, and
then you go on to the Super Bowl, you right
up in the US Jet.
Speaker 3 (31:23):
And so that's that.
Speaker 4 (31:24):
Could you could you have done that like Peyton Manning
had done.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
I would do whatever it takes to win.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
And if I wait, you know, if some guy or
some guy whose initials were bo had beaten me out, then.
Speaker 9 (31:36):
Wait, see see I questioned that because no one if
he said that, willing to do anything to win. While
and Peyton Manning was the ultimate competitive.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
That's right, we was.
Speaker 4 (31:50):
But I don't think what Ben is talking about doing anything.
Speaker 5 (31:54):
None of that sound good to me. That sounded like, oh,
I'll spike the other teams. That's what it sounds like
that right there, that I know.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
But I think Peyton knew how much a second Super
Bowl would submit his legacy as the greatest of all
time one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
And he was so you know, devastated after the twenty
thirteen debacle against the uh this you know, the Seahawks
and all that. Yeah, Oh my goodness, I made so
much on that though, so much money on that Super
Oh so you bet against them in twenty thirteen, Yes,
I did. Interesting, that was before Ben was even that
was here. It was my first year. There was so
many suckers in town. It was like printing money. Was
(32:33):
printing money.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
Oh man, Yeah, that was I didn't I don't think
I paid for a drink for a year.
Speaker 2 (32:40):
At that point. Mike Brown is Mike Brow was always
a good coach.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
He finished I think he finished first or second in
his division every year he's been a coach.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Not kind of the years he got fired, Like when
he was LA, would one and four get fired?
Speaker 5 (32:49):
You know?
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Not keadding I'm pretty sure he finished first or second
every year, but.
Speaker 1 (32:52):
One may have been two. But I'm pretty sure every
year he's been a head coach, he's finished first or
second division. So it's not like he's a bad coach.
He's a good coach. But he came in and you know,
took the house the Tips built and took it over
the top.
Speaker 5 (33:04):
I think that's why, you know, fans root for their underdog,
because you root for a guy like Mike Brown who's
been in that situation multiple times and then he finally,
he finally he was.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
Able to be the bill of the ball.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
So I mean Foxy though, I mean like fox was
a guy though that lost how many Super Bowls too?
Speaker 10 (33:22):
Super He was in two super Bowls, lost lost two.
He was lost the one with the loans because he
lost that one and then he lost the one he
was you know, I mean, I just I don't know.
I sometimes I don't think he gets the credit he serves.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
