Speaker 1 (00:00):
I had to beat that panel like it stole from me.

(00:02):
That was so funny. It was but full Chris Brown
on that panel.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I was like, what is what is he doing?

Speaker 1 (00:07):
I wasn't even messing with him, you know.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Sometimes there's a short end this panel and sometimes like
if you if I lean on it or something, or
I just accidentally graze it, like all of a sudden,
it'll shut my moud.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
So then he had to like bang on it for
the I thought.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
It was like a bug of something that he was
freaking out about.

Speaker 5 (00:22):
He was he was going to break his fare Okay,
I don't even feeling for his hands anyway.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Yeah, oh my goodness, want him back to it. Beat
up the microphone country tonight.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
That's been all right, Ferguson, Grant Smith here with you
five six six nine.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Ye have to k' wait cum and.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Spirit of Health hotline and bring on somebody who probably
doesn't have to beat up his mic.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
That's Parker Gabriel. How's it going, man?

Speaker 6 (00:43):
Oh good, Yeah, you never have to do that if
you don't have a mic.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
There's it's like my.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
Old saying, I could Karate use your force against your opponent,
and Judo used your opponent's force against themselves and all
bright knees you're never there to begin with, that's right.

Speaker 6 (00:56):
Yeah, I mean it's really a pretty full proof plan
at this point. Work so so far for me.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
We'll see, uh, we'll see how it continues to work.
Maybe you catch this contagion on your phone, who knows.

Speaker 6 (01:05):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
The second day of Bronco's acclimatization acclamation what are we
calling it?

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Acclimation period? Acclamation period?

Speaker 3 (01:13):
Yeah, we got we got tons of people out there
that we're in there, we're we're in attendance that are
posting videos of routes on air and proclaiming things. Obviously
camp battles have been decided. Everything is ready to go
based on just these these routes on air. I mean,
it was cool to see Wattle get the one handed catches.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I'll give it that. But how much do you roll
your eyes at some of that coverage?

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (01:35):
I mean a lot, honestly. And what But the thing
about it too is like I just try not to
take it too seriously. Like people are glad that there's
they're standing out there and watching football, so am I
like it's great. I don't draw sweeping conclusions from that.
But you know, if you don't draw sleeping, sweeping conclusions,
maybe sleeping conclusions on social media, then you don't get

(01:58):
as many views and you know all that stuff. So
I mean, I get why it happens, but yeah, no,
this is a these days. The summer is sort of
the same way, like the oka's in mini camp, but
these first few days are definitely like just prime overreaction season.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
You know, it's not an overreaction, and I just have
to mention it is when you think about Drew Brees,
you can't really say Sean Payton without Drew Brees or
vice versa.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
And there was a video down surface.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
That the league put out I think they've retweeted it,
and the Saints put it out themselves of Drew Brees
asking Sean Payton to go ahead and induct him into
the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and it was a
wealth of emotion is that I've never seen coach expressed before.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
But good for him, Good for Drew Brees. What do
you think this means for not just Drew Brees, but
the legacy of one Sean Payton.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
Yeah, I mean, I think it's like it's been obvious
since the day you know, since long before Drew stopped
playing that he one day was going to be in
the Hall of Fame. And Sean talked today about you know,
someone asked him when did he first realize that Drew
Brees is going to be a Hall of Famer, And
you know, he talked about that, but then he said,
you know, at some point it became the conversation shifted

(03:16):
to would he be a first out Hall of Famer
and then he pretty much erased you know, any doubt
on that front too. So yeah, I mean they're just
an incredible pairing obviously for fifteen years together in New Orleans,
and you could just tell from that video, you know
what it meant to Sean to present Drew Brees at
the Hall of Fame. You know, the actual like thing

(03:40):
that will happen in Canton is a video that Shawn's
already done with the people from the Hall of Fame.
They did it in Denver, and he outlined this today
of it taking three hours before one of their Oka
or Mini camp workouts in June, and then he wanted
to go back and he made him do it again
three more hours after practice because he wanted to make
sure it was right, and so if all of that,

(04:01):
you know, all of that just sort of speaks to
the depth of the relationship. And you know, as does
the fact that I'm not going to not like pro
clutching here, but as does the fact that, like Sean
Payton is is going to miss a practice next weekend
on Saturday to go do this in Canton. And not
only that, but he's taking Joevid and Dax Strief and
maybe a couple other people with too. So it clearly

(04:23):
means a lot to him. And you know, the reaction
to the video, all of his actions, the way he
talked about it today, like it all just sort of
you know, adds to that notion.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Women Breaking News got the text a moment ago. Looks
like Ian's already put it out. There is a reunion,
is free agent wide receiver Deebo Samuel signing back with
the forty nine ers on a one year.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Seven million dollar deal.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
On that note, Parker Nick Ferguson has been the flavor
flav Hip band to bring Taysom Hill and reunite him,
and it feels so good with Sean Payton. Well, how
do you feel about the Taysom Hill coming to Denver?
Or Saints West as it were.

Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yeah, you know, it's funny because there's a couple of these.
When Sean first got here, they were just like they
were so obvious. It was like, oh, well he's getting
it up in Denver, and then a couple of days
later he would It's been a little bit different recently, right,
Like obviously it didn't happen like Kamara ended up staying there,
Cam Jordan ended up signing back there. You know, probably

(05:24):
wasn't going to happen with Brandon Cooks, you know, Sean
traded him away. But so some of these guys become available.
I guess the first thing is like this Tasom Hill
going to keep playing. If he does, the Broncos obviously
would be sort of logical as a landing spot, and
you know not I mean obviously primarily because of Sean Payton,
but you know, the tight end room is I guess

(05:46):
like even though there's some wonder about like can they
be a lot better than they were last year with
largely the same pieces and then obviously the two rookies,
but also like it's sort of an interesting group because
who make the team, like Evan Ingram and Adam Troutman
for sure, you know, assuming there's no trade or anything there,
and then after that it's like you drafted two rookies

(06:08):
Jolian Bentley. You have Nate Adkins. You have Tayleb Blohner,
who Sean raved about this summer but now has missed
the first couple of days. And you've got Nate Adkins,
who they love, but who was hurt slash when he
wasn't hurt, didn't play very well last year. So like
I just it would sort of actually settle the room
out of a little bit if they signed him and

(06:29):
then you just knew he was going to be on
the team. But also it just sort of feels like
that's one of the groups. I just don't really have
a good handle on what it's going to look like
after the roster cut down at this point.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Now, I know everyone has been raving about Jaylen Wado
and obviously you know one handy grab today in practice
and the Broncos posted a video, and there's a large
expectation for him to come in and botht of this offense.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
And make it more explosive. Now, when it.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Comes to contracts, we've seen them past couple of days,
like think about the Cleveland Browns and how they pay
two of their defensive backs being just said Deebo, Sam's
going back to to San Francisco forty nine ers. But
I couldn't help but think that the New Orleans Saints,
a place where Sean Payne came from, they just they
just did something that I didn't think they would actually do,

(07:18):
and that was given Chris a Lave a monster deal.
How do you think that that would factor into jaaln
Wadle say that Jaalen Wattle hits the numbers that we're
all hoping that he hit this year.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Well, I said when that report was out earlier today,
I retweeted it and said something like, you know, Jalen
Waddell's contract is in the twenty twenty sixth issue for
the Broncos, but it's going to be very expensive when
they you know, when they extend them, which I mean,
you know, you don't give up that kind of freight
for a guy just to have him for two years
and then and then let him go, And so you
would think that you know, at some point they don't

(07:55):
have to do it this year, but a year from
now or whatever, like the price for wide receivers just
keeps going up. So yeah, I mean, you know, I
think Alave checked in at what thirty three million something
like that a year, and so you're you're that's the
ballpark you're playing in, and exactly where that number falls.
It's a long way off still, so you know, you
could you could pretty comfortably see it north of there, though,

(08:17):
depending on what the usage and the production looks like
and all of that the next year, year and a half,
two years. So yeah, I mean that's the part of
the reason why he was so attractive was because his
contract's really manageable this year in next. But he's young
enough that he's the kind of guy you would think
that if he stays on the track he's been on
his whole career, that he would be, you know, in
line for another contract at some point. And I'm sure

(08:38):
the Broncos hope it's with them, and that is going
to be a large check when when they write it
someday to.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
That end, and didn't talk with Park Gerbro from the
never post to that end. The the Broncos have several
peties coming to Ponix's rookie contract in that extension'll be
coming up here soon. How big a leaf leap does
the offense need to take this season to show that
it can carry the defense at times in order to
sort of justify that because the money is going to

(09:06):
be coming in on the offensive side of the ball,
they're gonna be trimming money from the defensive side of
the ball to pay for it.

Speaker 6 (09:11):
Yeah, definitely, and you know, probably to Ben right, like
from a few other places on the roster, like the
offensive line, Like they cannot have five guys in the
top ten in money on the offensive line, like in
perpetuity and after Bonix gets paid and all that, and
they've done a lot of work there to start to
groom and develop the next wave of players there, Like

(09:32):
what spots exactly do they feel you know, you could
you could guess. Obviously we don't know that yet. Ben
Powers going into the last year of his deal is
a logical candidate after this season. You know, Mike McGlinchey,
did you hold up physically? Obviously like you hope he
does for several more years. But yeah, I mean it
is going to come out of the defense. And if
you if you've got a guy who you know you're

(09:53):
paying to be a true franchise quarterback, Like your offense
has to be good. There's just no way around it.
And so you know that say, I think you're gonna
see it's like interesting conundrum, right because you want bow
Nicks to take, you know, the big leap this year.
And when Davis Webb was talking about, you know, Jalen
Waddell being for bow Knicks, what Stefon Diggs was for

(10:16):
Josh Allen and Josh yet going to a Josh Allen's
third year in Buffalo and like the mega run they
went on offensively, like that all sounds great. The thing
with that is like if that happens in Denver, then
Davis Webb's going to be a head coach a year
from now, and then you've got a different play caller,
whether it's back to Sean Payton or somebody else. And
so there's no there's no just glide path of like, hey,

(10:38):
they're gonna be really good this year and then they'll
be good forever. Like obviously, if bo Nicks takes the
leap into the upper echelon of NFL quarterbacks, that guarantees
the stability there. But in general, like it almost feels
as though there's this year with bon Nick still on
the rookie deal and Davis Webb calling the plays, and
then no matter what it looks like, whether it's great, good,

(11:00):
or mediocre, whatever it is, it is going to be
different in the future after that. Like it's not year
one of five years of this necessarily, like it is
sort of like almost like a waypoint year, which is
sort of interesting. It just to me, it just like
ramps up the states even more of like where they
need to get to this year and what it needs
to look like.

Speaker 4 (11:20):
Parker, Every camp is big for every single player, rookie
or veteran. But how important is this camp for Q
Robinson Andrew Sanders And you know exactly where I'm going
with this. With everything that's happening with Jonathan Cooper. I mean,
the Broncos need to lean on their reserves. So how

(11:40):
important is were both of these players that have good
camps to start things?

Speaker 6 (11:45):
Yeah, definitely. I mean for ke Robinson, you're talking about
the prospect of like even though the Broncos at this point,
like certainly they seem to be on the track where
Jonathan Cooper is part of their plan this year. Now,
obviously the league's gonna make a decision at some point,
so you know, if you're talking about a few games
without him at the beginning of the year, somewhere during
the season, Like, you know, ke Robinson is a prime

(12:08):
candidate I think to earn a starting spot opposite Nick
Bonito and then with Drew Sanders, like it's just important
for him to have a good, long, healthy stretch and
to play football and to be on the field and
to play in preseason games and all of that. Like
they've got an interesting you know, they're gonna have an
interesting set of decisions to make there, and maybe it
won't be right away, like if Jonathan Cooper ends up,

(12:30):
like let's say he gets suspended before the opener, well
then at least you've got a roster spot, and maybe
it's easier to keep through Sanders if he's healthy and
all that. Like obviously you're dealing with multiple ifts here,
but you know you've got Bonito, Cooper, Killman, and Ellis
the rotation from last year, plus Keugh Robinson as a
breakout candidate and that like by and large, like just

(12:52):
with those five. But you would think that that sort
of leaves Drew Sanders on the outside looking in. But
we also know he's talented, and he's big and he's fat,
and he's been better at edge than an inside linebacker
when he's you know, bounced back and forth in his career,
and so like, if Drew Sanders has a healthy August,
that's a good problem for the Broncos to have. But
I don't I don't know exactly how the roster would

(13:13):
shake out in that in that way, and that it
probably like it probably just depends to some degree on
what happens with Jonathan Cooper and we don't know the
answer to that yet.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Obviously, there is helped I turn my microphone on. That's uh,
you know, you're smacking it around. Wasn't enough talking with
Parker Gabriel from the the Devera Polst.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Is there anything that.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
You take out of these acclimatization days?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
There anything that out of.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
This acclamation that you you look at you say, all right,
there's something I see. I mean, for me, it's like, okay,
Jalen wattle Loss advertised he's that smooth, he's a fast.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Okay. But is there anything else that you take away
from this?

Speaker 6 (13:45):
No? I mean, I just you know, it's always different,
like it's always different without pads and it's always different
when you're not at true full speed. Like I thought,
it just was good that boat Nix had like a
normal workload last two days, Like that's a good first step.
He can't play in seventeen games by the end of
this week, obviously, so you just want to see him
do what they're they've said he's going to do and

(14:07):
what he's expected to do. And he did that, so
that's good. Like it's not it's not the endlb all,
but it's like he's where he's supposed to be. The
other thing that I just thought watching today was, you know,
and I thought telling O Whu Fungus sort of said
this after practice, like they just don't look like a
group that needs a lot of acclimatization, Like they have
so much continuity and they've they've got so much back

(14:28):
on both sides of the ball that they really look
like a group. Not like they're ready to go play
this weekend or anything like that, but they just look
like a group that knows what they're doing. Like that
doesn't guarantee they're going to win thirteen games. It doesn't
guarantee anything, but it seems like and it makes sense,
I think given the level of continuity they have, but
there just doesn't seem to be a lot of you know,

(14:49):
messing around, Like there, they know who they've got, they
know the systems, They obviously like there's a lot of
familiarity with like playbook stuff on both sides of the ball.
And I just sort of got that sense watching the
last couple of days of like, oh yeah, there's nothing
new about this except for the building and the offensive
play caller and Jalen Waddell. Those things all matter, but

(15:09):
in general, this is a team that is starting at
a point that doesn't really feel like day one just
because of you know, the collective history they've got together.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
All right, Parker, bring you into a conversation that Ben
and I were having before you've joined us by sixty seconds. Here,
are you the type of person who when you wash
your body, you wash your belly button. If you do,
do you use one of those little small and tiny
bristles or to kind of get in there?

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yes? Is there a tool? I?

Speaker 6 (15:38):
No? I do you know? I'm a believer in personal hygiene.

Speaker 4 (15:42):
No.

Speaker 6 (15:42):
Yeah, I wash my belly button, but I'm tool free.
I just you know, yeah, yeah, you know, I mean yeah,
which who's using a tool.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Apparently people on the tech line. I did not know
these tools existed. And I am I am Captain Clean.
You know three showers a day, guy, I did not
know there was a tool for this.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
Yeah, I'm I I've always been uh toolless. I guess
you would say, just like you know, Broncos Country tonight,
but I don't. Yeah, I guess maybe I should look
into this.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
All right, this is something I have to look into later.
Now I know what I'm I'm Amazon. You know, my
latest Amazon purchase will be later on tomorrow. Parker looked
forward to see it. You down there with the pass
Tomorrow's We're not acclimatizing anymore.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
Uh, stay, stay Frosty, my friend. All right, park they
never post we had it break, We'll be back. Nick
referenced it earlier.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Guys saw the clip of Sean Payton breaking down in
tears when Drew Brees called him to ask him to
present him at the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Do we have that audio?

Speaker 2 (16:46):
We do?

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Honestly, Gone, I can't believe you just did that.

Speaker 6 (16:53):
Yeah, absolutely, man, and and.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
Uh we were listen, we've done enough of this.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Like all of a sudden.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
It's awesome.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
Yes, I love you too, appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (17:14):
Sean went on to say at one point that it
brings is the reason that he's in Denver. And one
of our Texters pointed out that he saw that and
said he thought, finally all Bred agrees with something.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
Coach said, I could not retweet that clip fast enough.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
I'll tell you this, He's absolutely right, and you two
would be emotional because think about where Sean Payton came from.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Right Eastern Illinois. I think that was a college he
came from. He was a quarterback.

Speaker 4 (17:45):
He wanted to be a quarterback in the NFL, and
the way that it worked out for him was that
I think back in the strike back in nineteen eighty
four when there was a strike, Coach Peyton, I believe
had opportunity to play for the Chicago Bears. So you're
talking about a dream unfulfilled, but he fulfilled it in
other ways. He took Drew Brees, who was already a

(18:06):
hell of a quarterback coming out of Purdue, and I
remember the game where we were playing the then San
Diego Chargers.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
He was running.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
I think he was scrambling side of the endzo and
I think he was trying to reach the ball line
and John Lynch hit it and it jacked up his
shoulder right, And because of that, it gave Philip Rivers
an opportunity to come in kind of redirected Drew Brees' career.
And think about it, he almost was a Miami Dolphins

(18:35):
if he didn't fail.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
The physical right right right.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
But when you think.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
About what Drew Brees was before he joined Sean Payton,
Sean Payton only added to what we saw.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Of Drew Brees.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
He let him throw more was already Drew Brees.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
He only got three hundred passing attempts of the season
because you're playing Marty ball, which is run, run past punt, right,
And so he gets to go to Sean Payton, who
throws six.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Hundred time a season.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
And now all of a sudden, you know, the numbers
look bigger on the volume count, but on a perth
roal basis, it was about the same.

Speaker 4 (19:06):
But when you think about it, I didn't believe the
year was two thousand and eight. Drew Brees had eclipsed
Dan Marinos five thousand yards in the season, and it
was at that time no one was thrown for numbers
like that, but Drew Brees did and it led to
so many amazing years where Drew Brees put up four

(19:28):
thousand plus and that was attributed to both him and
Sean Payton. So I understood when I saw Sean Payton
get choked up. He's almost like your son is fulfilling
a dream that you hope to achieve and he's bringing
you to Canton to induct him.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
So I get that. Hey, listen, I'm all for it.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
But doesn't it show you like the importance in the
NFL of the pairing like who you're with. He had
coaching quarterback combo, because you see people that don't have
that success or aren't putting the positions for that success,
like you mentioned his time in San Diego. But you
get put with the right guy for your skill set
and then you have the right quarterback for your head
coach mindset.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
It makes all the difference in the world.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Absolutely does, And we've seen that time and time again
with different coaches, especially if they get a quarterback and
suddenly catches for you like, oh, there's the guy, and.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
All you have to do to drive that point home
that Graham was talking about just look like the laundry
list of quarterbacks that donned Cleveland Brown's uniform exactly to
didn't Couch was great at Kentucky, right, and it was
like the sky was a limit for him, but he
went to the Rome team at the wrong time and

(20:39):
guess what it did had destroyed his career.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
And like, with all due respect to Tom Brady, like
he's not winning six Super Bowls anywhere else in probably
New England because the defense carried him to those first couple. Like, yeah,
he had clutch moments, but he had a great head
coach and he had a great defense around him. Like
he of course he got the one up in Tampa
Bay and got the one without Belichick. But like, he's

(21:04):
not winning seven in his career.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
Are you saying what I think you're saying?

Speaker 4 (21:09):
Because I remember the other night I was being told
that I was hating on quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Is Nick is envious of quarterbacks?

Speaker 1 (21:18):
Two things can be truth.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Take no, no, no, no, no, You're not gonna pull
that one on me, right, And I said, quarterbacks don't
do this by themselves. They don't, right, Like like when
I was a kid, they said it takes a village
to raise a kid.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
It takes that same type of ideology to.

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Prop quarterbacks on the pedestal in the way that they are.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
I think it takes I knew Grant was over there
on your stuff that I'm like, I'm killing the gun here.
I do it all the time, say to mcgiver defense,
I hate.

Speaker 6 (21:51):
You where you want to go.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
I'm with you on that, and I'm with it on
that on multiple way. I think a great example that
is Justin Herbert, right. Dustin Herbert has all the tools,
all the ability in the world, but he's on some
teams with some offensive coordinators that you're like, well, you know,
what are we doing here? And I think this year
having Mike McDaniel as the potential be real dangerous for
the rest of the league.

Speaker 4 (22:11):
You know what, Grant is playing the theme music for
that of mcguibro. And look at this as a television show.
You bring up Justin Herbert, right, I mean, if this
was a television series, we look at it that way, it.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Would be canceled for him being a part of.

Speaker 4 (22:28):
The charges because his ensemble cast isn't that great.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
But if you take him and you put him on
a show like The Lininess, it's a whole different thing.
Roy are you put him on. Paradise was Bred, and
I are watching Great on Hulu.

Speaker 3 (22:44):
It is queued up for me as well, just so
that you know I will be starting it probably next week.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Really yeah, okay, I've got it cued up. Don't wait
that long.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
Well, I don't have a choice here because I like
I have to I have a compulsion to finish things,
and so like I have to finish what I'm doing
right now, which I'm not going to talk.

Speaker 5 (23:00):
About why, just because so can we say you're embarrassed
of what you're I'm reading to the party I was doing.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
I'm watching What We Do in Shadows. Oh, one of
the best the party on that one The Vampires, the
mockumentary documentary I've never seen. It's Matthew Berry And yeah
you've seen the movie, right, yeah, okay, Oh, there's a movie.
There's a movie.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
And then one of the guys that was in the
movie made the TV series and there's a there's talks
that there's going to be a second movie.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Oh okay, I may have to go check.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
That out because that was kind of like it's like
it's not serious, not at all.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
It's like a comedy.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Yeah, yes, okay, yeah, it is a comedy horror mockumentary
probably the best way to put it. Yes, okay, it
is so great because it's based on the movie from
Taika Wa TV was a famous director and uh and
Jamaine Clement, who's won half of Flight of the Concords.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
I don't know if you remember Flight of the Concords
or not, but yes, but anyway, it's yeah, it's based on.

Speaker 3 (23:55):
The movie that they did or whatever, and so it's, uh, anyway,
it's one of those things that I I relate to
the party on and I'm trying to uh get that.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
I don't see why you were late to the party
on that one considered the fact that you walk in
dressed like a vampire, turning off the night the lights
and I wanted to get your shirt at one point
that says not spatzu won it?

Speaker 1 (24:17):
I mean, the guys I have a Tan Grants paler
than I am. No way, no way, we can put
it to the test. We'll take photos later. We'll put
aside by second on Twitter pole who's the paler? Which
one of us is whiter? Joey vampire.

Speaker 2 (24:36):
We're you gonna hold your arms.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
Out and yeah, we do arms out and take photos
or whatever.

Speaker 4 (24:40):
You know.

Speaker 1 (24:40):
Yeah, I will say this. We're both very white. Yeah,
we were both. We're getting some good time in the
sun this summer. Actually the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
I really have to like you have you have gotten
at least six shades darker in the past three days?

Speaker 1 (24:54):
Right, that's golf. Like I'm out, you know, I was
just out in the sun, like, oh my god, this
is terrible. I can't see me do that.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
What he looks like without rocos practice, Like what does
the skin look like?

Speaker 1 (25:09):
Or shooting that one eighty on nine homes?

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Yeah that you have that too, Yeah, yes, I shot
eighty on.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
You imagine a bad about that bad? Oh my goodness.
You know some other audio want to get to charge Chase.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Of Grant's favorite team, Hey, the Houstoncinnati Bengals. It was
a it was a scuffle at practice and he had
a chance to kind of kind of talk about that
a little bit.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
Would you think of the scuffles.

Speaker 7 (25:39):
That for really just it's really fun buying in the day.
It happens, I got to bounce back. It's competitive in
this everybody's just getting set up bad. At the end
of the day, you gotta do a better jobs. Just
getting back to practice, not getting this practiced.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
You want see that from DS and they got that issue.
That's what I want? Is that what I want?

Speaker 6 (25:57):
Hey, you're actual with Jale about that.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
After Yeah, we talked, We talked. I ain't never seen
jd like that, not gonna lie.

Speaker 6 (26:04):
So it's a little new to.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Me, but I like it.

Speaker 6 (26:07):
I like to like to do it.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I do like it. Yeah, I love that, dude.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
I think I think it's good to have a little
bit of that, get the energy out that kind of stuff.
And then it also reminds you that there's people that
are taking it that serious, you know, in case somebody's not.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
I like that.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
You called it energy, right, I mean I have another
word for it. It's it's it's an aggressive tonality, all right, Right,
Because when we get to training camp, you and Granmar
talking about comparing, you know, who has a better tan
or not. We know that with the temperatures when they
start to elevate, people get a little agitated.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
And now you add that.

Speaker 4 (26:46):
Temperature to competitive environment where you're trying to win jobs.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I don't have any friends. Something's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
There's always gonna be an altercation, right, No joint practices.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
For the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (26:57):
So you know when the pads come on and they
blow the whistle and hey with the rubber meets to roll.
If you're not ready, I'm blowing past you. If you
get upset, hey do what they do. Just doing hockey.
Hey drop, drop the gloves, let's go to it.

Speaker 5 (27:12):
And Jamar Chase threw that dude's helmet across the freaking field.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
You know what's interesting about that.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
When I was with the New York Jets and Sean
Payton was with the New Orleans Saints, we were playing
the Saints and Kyle Turley snatched off Damon Robinson's helmet,
and Kyle Turley at that time big guy looked like
the Undertaker and he has long hair, so it was
just wet and drenching. He took his helmet and snatched

(27:39):
it off his head and launched it across the field
like he was damn braveheart.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Yeah, but that's two different teams.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Like what what surprises me is how aggressive it was
on the same team. Like, you guys both think there's
value to that, like fights breaking out in training camp.

Speaker 3 (27:58):
I think there is there is some value you to it. Now,
I'm talking about a dust stop. I'm not talking about
a full on melee that drags over it. You know,
then it's five or six different fights. Like that's not
inherently valuable. But I do think there is a little
something too. Having an inch and reminded guys that this
is we're all competing for spots on the roster, and

(28:18):
then after we're done doing that, we got to come
back together as a unit to go out and compete
with these other bozos out there so we can try
to win a super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
See, I'm all forward to a certain degree.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
And so guys get frustrated and decide to take off
their helmet because I don't know about you, guys. If
I'm in the melee, that's the last thing I'm taking
off is my helmet, right right?

Speaker 1 (28:40):
Let people break their hands.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
Oh yeah, I think it does create a somewhat of
a healthy competitive environment. And here's what you want to
know as a coach, and here's what you want to
know as a teammate. When things get hot and heavy
on the field as we go, we know they happen
in training.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
Camp and in the game.

Speaker 4 (28:57):
You want to look around and see which of those
teams are going to step up?

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Right? Who has my back?

Speaker 4 (29:04):
And I remember as a young player in New York
when Bill Parcells was there, there was a fight that
took place.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
And guess was I involved with it?

Speaker 1 (29:13):
I was somewhere in there.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
I was right in the mix, right, because my situation
is always when I'm blitzing Alf's, the linemen want to
grab the v of my neck because they feel as
they're bigger players and they want to see like they gel,
rag dog you and throw you around. I'm not gonna
tolerate that. I'm not gonna back down from anyone. So
there's an altercation and it might have might have involved
Hall of Fame center Kevin Maway perhaps perhaps you know

(29:38):
allegedly right, So when this fight takes place, you're thinking, okay,
you get the defense in the offense. At some point,
something's don't break it up, something's gonna stop it. Oh no,
they let it continue, right. So, after it was all over,
they bring everyone up, they talk to us, and this

(29:59):
is what the top to us. Parcells said, Oh, you
guys have this much energy. I guess we're not doing
enough in practice. And he started a couple of drills over.
How about that no longer a quick lesson? Yeah they
oh that you guys have extra energy for fighting.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
I'm gonna turn that.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
Uh yeah, I got some more work for you.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
That was always the high school thing like that was,
oh okay, all right, you guys got enough energy for this.
We are practicing hard enough. We need to practice more.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
But there is a safe space where hey, listen, you
know guys are going to get into it, especially when
you go from t shirt short Olympics to putting the
pads on, because that's a different level of speed.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Right when Parker Gabriel was on.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
With US, I asked him about Drew Sanders and Q Robinson.
Don't you think those guys are gonna go humming off
of the edge trying to make a name for themselves,
especially when the pads come on, and then you may
get the Gara bowls or.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Mike mcglicchy like whoa, whoa hold on pivot. Do you
know understand the temple of the Drew. It's like, yes,
I do. I'm deciding to get a job.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
That's the temple and anytime that happens, guess what's gonna happen?

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Then there's gonna be some shoving.

Speaker 3 (31:11):
There's gonna be some more some shoving, some jaw jack
and all that kind of stuff. I don't know if
you saw this Today's Lebron's planning a documentary like Michael Jordan's.
Is there anything that Michael Jordan has done that dude
won't rip off?

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Well, he hasn't made adventure into Well you have that too,
because Lebron, like Michael did Space Jam one.

Speaker 4 (31:32):
Yeah, Lebron came out twenty years later did Space Jam two,
but domestically and internationally, it.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
Didn't do the same type of No. I never even
watched Space Jam two me. I didn't watch the Lebron
because I was like, I'm not doing this.

Speaker 4 (31:44):
Well.

Speaker 2 (31:44):
I watched because, I mean, someone gave me a shree ticket,
so I'll take advantage of it.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
Okay, that's somebody give me a free ticket. I might
have watched turn it down maybe, but it's just like, dude, enough,
like why is everything?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Why you got to do everything? Kobe was Jordan two
point oh, and he didn't do all that.

Speaker 3 (32:01):
Stuff, and he didn't do all that, you know, he
was Kobe Space Jam two and trying to you know.

Speaker 2 (32:07):
I think it's Lebron's obsession with MJ.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
I think it's an obsession with putting yourself in the
conversation with him j Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
And I don't think it's just Lebron. I think it's Maverick, Carter, Rich.

Speaker 4 (32:21):
Paul, all those guys who grew up with and I
get it, that's your boy, you trying to.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
Elevate them to a whole different level.

Speaker 4 (32:27):
But I think the docu Sriies should be called Chase
an MJ.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
That's what it should be called.

Speaker 3 (32:33):
Yeah, that would be great if that was like, that
would be enough on the nose, like in self deferential
that you get to sell the memes. Today people were
like Michael Jordan's saw the insta Jordan's laughing meme.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
But I saw that and I was.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
Like he was.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
I was like, all right, this is is there anything
that that that Jordan did that Lebron's not gonna try
and do a sequel.

Speaker 4 (32:53):
To have you guys ever obsessed over anything in that
particular fashion, anything not that way.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
I mean there's things I've and you know, I'll go
down a rabbit hole on stuff. There's things I obsess over,
but like it's like not like that.

Speaker 5 (33:04):
Like I think about back to my childhood and my
brother was like four years older than me, so I
always wanted to do everything he did to a point
of annoyance where he was like, leave me alone, dude.
And I feel like that's well, that's how Lebron views
MJ like his big brother that he looked up to
his whole life, and he wants to emulate everything that
that MJ did.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
So I don't have any problem if.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
You were MJ, would you be would this be flattering
to you?

Speaker 5 (33:29):
I don't think MJ even cares. I don't think he
likes Lebron very much. I think competitive dudek breaking for Lebron.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
I think MJ was looking at the box office receipts
on space she had too it was like, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 2 (33:41):
I'm thinking maybe that's one of the reasons he went
into uh yes, because he's blowing up now.

Speaker 5 (33:48):
If Lebron buys a NASCAR team after he retires, then
I'll be like, Okay.

Speaker 2 (33:54):
Here's what going to do.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Far Lebron wants to be an owner because we know
if there's one thing that Mike would Yeah, Michael Jordan,
I said Michael Jackson.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
But Michael Jordan kind of failed at was being a
GM for the Yes.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
So I mean maybe maybe he uh, maybe he tries that.
We'll see. I don't know. I just I saw that
one was like a come on, man, what are we
doing here?

Speaker 3 (34:15):
We come back Rich de Rosiers, he's the CECO for
the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Always love having him on.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
We're reguless with the latest and greatest from the Hall
of Famous.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
We're on the cusp of the Hall of Fame. Game
Broncos Country at Night.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
