Hitman talks to Taylor Maas with Crawfish for a Cause Benefit May 2nd

Crawfish for a Cause is an annual crawfish cook-off held at Buc Days benefitting this years benefactor. Attendees will be able to enjoy all-you-can-eat crawfish, live music, activities, and more. Our cook-off teams will be making over 15,000 pounds of crawfish for our attendees and competing for $7,500 in prizes!

a tipman with you and I have Taylor on the
phone but talking about a big event that's coming up
very soon. And it's actually an annual event, Crawfish for
a Cause, Taylor. You know for somebody that's I'm sad
to say it. I really have not had a chance
to experience eating crawfish yet. Tell me about Crawfish for
a Cause.

Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Well, foremost, thank you so much for giving me the
opportunity to talk about this. This event will be taking
place this Saturday from twelve to five at Buck Days.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
This is in all you can.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
Eat crawfish cookoff event, so attendees can come and sample
a variety of crawfish flavors and styles from different teams.
This year, we have twenty cookoff teams and they'll be
serving from noon until they run out. Wow. I believe
we have over twenty thousand pounds of crawfish this year
and we cook it all in one day, So come hungry,

come ready to eat. Wow.

It's also for a great charities like it's for Metro
ministries and also a GOAFI ranch. You're supporting those right, Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
So each year we are able to choose.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
A benefactor, but this being our fifth annual year, we've
grown so large we were able.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
To choose two.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
So all proceeds from this event will go directly to
a GOFE Ranch and Metro ministries. They do incredible work
in our communities, so we are just super excited to
be cheating with them this year.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Now for somebody who's I'm sorry to say, I haven't
eaten crawfish ever, I've never had crawfish, so would would
somebody be there to actually show me how to eat
a crawfish?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Absolutely, So if you've never tried to craw fish, this
is the event for you. With the twenty different cookoff team,
they all have their own unique style of cooking and
preparing and serving the crawfish, so you've got.

Twenty different options.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
They'll walk you through the process, they'll show you how
to eat them, and it's just a great place to
be if you're not a crawfish eater like myself.

I actually don eat crawfish myself.

We are in the Buck Days festival, so with your

Corpus Christy Artwalk this Friday. I believe that runs from
about five pm to eight pm, So we'll representatives.

Buy them there, and we will also have raffle tickets
as well. I believe this year will be raffling off
a crawfish cooker. Wow, so absolutely stop by check that

fifth year doing this.

Yes, it's our fifth year. We're incredibly excited. We just
grow bigger and bigger each year.

Ages ten and under get in free, and we've got activities.

We've got a whole kid zone with free face painting.
It's just a really well rounded event and we're just
so excited. You know, we couldn't do this without our sponsors.
