Speaker 1 (00:00):
Please sip deeper in the din with Dangerous Day. There's
a strange new breakup trend making headlines overseas that growing
number of people in China are using AI programs called
x skill to build digital versions of their former partners.
Users upload things like old texts, pictures, voice notes, social
media posts, and AI recreates and X personality speech patterns

and shared memories. Creators say it's meant for personal reflection
and emotional healing, not for stocking and harassment, and the
fact that they actually had to say that is scary enough.
But the critics are worried that it could create major
privacy issues, especially since somebody's personal data could be used
without their permission. Still, some users say the AI version

(00:44):
actually helped them move on. One person wrote, I was
finally able to say everything I was hesitant to say,
and it made me feel better. Well, I guess I
doubted it at first, But creating an AI version of
your ex just so you could yell at them, that
seems helpful. If you're visiting a foreign country, there's supposed
to be a new tell that you're an American your

perfect smile. There's an article going viral that says, foreigners
notice Americans great smiles and it's creeping them out. They
say they will know because your teeth are so white
and they're really straight. Experts say there's a few reasons
the cosmetic dentist industry in the US booming, could surpass
twenty billion dollars this year. There's a term in Europe
called Turkey teeth, which mocks people WHICHI over done veneers

that don't seem natural, and now the cheap stuff in
veneers is gone. Further than that, it's any smile that
seems too perfect. Some foreigners say turkey teeth smiles give
them ick vibes, feel artificial, forced, insincere and dishonest. In Australia,
dentists says patients worry about that kind of smile that
looks American. Instead, they prefer work that looks natural, not

(01:48):
something that looks like they've had their teeth done. Another
person from South America said, American smiles come across a
suspector sus Maybe we should say in this day and age,
broad toothy smiles can be ominous in some cultures when
you see both rows of teeth. One person notes that
in the animal world, showing teeth is rarely associated with happiness.
That's usually signs of aggression. As a threat, some people

(02:11):
in the Czech Republic said, if you approach with a big,
open American smile, in reaction will be do I know
this person? Are you trying to flirt? Because that warmth
is traditionally reserved for people that you already know, So
be careful with your traveling abroad. Don't smile at people.
