Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sip deeper in the den with dangerous day Jeffer. Catch
yourself holding your breath while reading an email. It's called
email apnea, and whether you know it or not, it
could be adding to the stress of your day. Mental
health experts say a lot of people unconsciously stop breathing
or take very shallow breasts. Reading emails. Can even happen
while texting or scrolling too, and that's known as screen apnea.

(00:21):
It usually happens when they're concentrating or feel pressure to respond.
Also causes our bodies to interpret them as an incoming threat,
which makes us tense up and hold our breath without
realizing it. The problem and is shallow breathing can create
a body fight or flight mode, which raises our heart rate,
increases our stress and anxiety. Also can lead to headaches,
muscle tension, jack clenching, and fatigue. There's something you can

(00:44):
do to fight it off. Before opening your next email,
take a slow breath out, relax your shoulders, pay attention
to your breathing. That can make a difference. Or how
about just not open it or just hit the lead.
That's what I like to do. You know, it's twenty
six and it's surprising that companies still need to hound
us to get us to update our devices for the
latest software should be a simple click, but there's reasons

(01:06):
people don't do it. A new survey ask people why
don't you update your devices right away? Top responses include
they forget it's available, they're happy with the current software,
and or nervous the new version will be worse, takes
time to install. They're afraid it will reset or change
their settings, which happens frequently. They're worried that the update
will add AI features that they didn't ask for. They

(01:27):
don't have enough storage. They're afraid it will slow their device.
Other reasons people don't update software on their devices they
need to remember, reset or re enter passwords, don't have
time to wait for updates to install, devices too old update,
they don't know if there's costs associated with the update,
don't remember their password if they need to, and have
muscle memory their device right now. Fifty four percent of

(01:49):
people believe tech companies deliberately put out updates to make
their device worse over time, pushing them towards premium features
or device upgrades. I might be one of those people
messing with the familiar is a big deal. Sixty eight
percent of people said they'd be more likely to install
something if it were just a security update and it
doesn't change design. That's the way I am. I'm fine
with security updates, but don't try to improve something that

(02:12):
I already like and make me have to try to
relearn it. And I hate software updates that automatically push
two three games across too at the end, and then
you realize it's taking up more space. You got to
go back and uninstall them for the fourteenth time. I
don't want to download and play King Tutin Commons Candy
