This, he's deeper in the din with dangerous day. Well,
you know, it's just a couple of weeks away from
Mother's Day, And if you haven't thought about a gift
yet for Mom, it's okay. All you really have to
do is give her the day off. Every year, moms
are asked what they want for Mother's Day, and they're
always hinting about the same stuff. A nap, a day
off from doing everything for the family, and maybe a

(00:21):
handmade gift in a card. A new survey, ninety four
percent of moms said they'd like to get more sleep,
and half of mom's set a nap with no one
needing you is the ultimate luxury, with the next luxuries
being eating a meal while it's hot and not making
any decisions, and a bathroom break by yourself. Sixty percent
of moms said they're happy to trade gifts for sleep.

(00:41):
Almost two thirds haven't had a nap in the last month,
a quarter of them can't remember the last time they
got a nap. And yes, thoughtful gifts are nice, flowers
and dinners are appreciated. Bonus, family time is special, but
nothing shows your appreciation for moms like doing it yourself
for a change. Yeah, that way mom can put her
feet up deeper in the So remember days didn't confuse.

(01:02):
When Matthew McConaughey's character said, that's what I love about
these high school girls, man, the older I get, they
stay the same age, well, the same could be said
about go to slang. It stays the same age. Somebody
asked the Internet what outdated slang terms do you still
use often? And you could probably tell them how old
people are by their responses. Some of the old school

(01:25):
slang people still use include gnarly, stoked, sweet word, sick
peace instead of goodbye dude, regardless of gender or era,
tight oki dokie, still use that one where now we're
cooking with gas? Can you dig it? Dub bomb, hella,
be's knees, bogus, whipper snapper, home slice, smellulator, old snap,

(01:45):
fetch tot's golly noise, Geez louise. And somebody said, I'm
known as the right on guy at work. I know
a guy like that that works here says right on
a lot. Somebody said I still use bra and slay.
Another one says I say benas too much. Another one
said I'd call people cats hey cat dattles, which is
a Victorian era slang term for fists, and come on, sweetheart,

(02:09):
let's blow this Popstan. Those are some of the best
ones that made the list. I don't care if people
still use them. I use a lot of these. I
mean some of them are neito. May I even say
groovy to me again? For another episode of Deeper in
