Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Stuber in the den with dangerous date. Well,
if you're a true crime fan, you've heard this. The
first forty eight hours are critical when police are investigating. Well,
there's another thing that happens within forty eight hours that
seems criminal. Your paycheck vanishes. According to a new report,
the average American spends nearly forty eight percent of their

(00:21):
paycheck within the first forty eight hours. Thirty five percent
of the paycheck has gone within the first twelve hours,
especially true among millennials, who spend money faster than any
other generation. Most of the spending goes towards essentials. Fifty
two percent say they cover groceries and necessities as soon
as they receive their paycheck. Others pay bills due within
the week, or they take care of major obligations like

(00:43):
rent and credit cards. Thirty two percent also knock out
smaller bills such as utilities and subscriptions. A lot of
the pinch comes from bi weekly pay schedules, where bills
come continuously through any given month, and sixty two percent
say that being paid daily or as they work would
improve their financial wellness and decrease stress. I'm not sure
if that's necessarily true because if you have the money,

(01:07):
you're like, well, I'll just pay further, buy this now
because I have the money. Where if you get a
larger bill at the end of the month, you might
not have as much as if you got paid in
a lump sum. I was reading this and I'm like,
that can't be right. But I think about it. I
get paid and I try to pay my bills right
away to try to get those taken care of. Pay
your bills first, pay yourself second. That's always been my mantra,

(01:29):
and mine is called take home pay because it's too
small to go anywhere else deeper in the two. Well,
Happy National Chocolate Day, and the fact that's three days
before Halloween seems kind of evil, right, need another excuse
to blow through all of our chocolate before we hand
it out on Halloween Night. In a poll of one
thousand Americans, they found seventy nine percent of us eat
chocolate at least once a week in general and Halloween.

(01:51):
It's a lot more than that. Fifty nine percent of
people say milk chocolate is their favorite, dark chocolate second,
white chocolate a distant third. Any doubt Halloween runs on chocolate.
A recent poll at ranker dot com found that the
ten Halloween candies we open first, only one non chocolate
candy even made the list. Recent Peanut butter Cups tops

(02:11):
the lists, followed by kit Kats, Twigs, M and M, Snickers,
Reese's Peanut butter Pumpkins, which you expect those to be first,
but peanut butter Cups still number one, and it's still
a version of the peanut buttercups. Soul is it getting
listed twice anyway? Hershey Bart number seven, Milky way Neshley Crunch,
and then Starburst the only non chocolate candy making the
top ten. Gummy Bear, Skittles and Nerds came in close.

(02:33):
Though This is according to Rancor. You know your dentist.
They're gonna be the one that gives you a toothbrush
at Halloween, and to be honest, I think they really
like Halloween. Gives the more business to me they can
for another episode of Deeper in the Den with Dangerous
