Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is deeper in the din with dangerous day. Well,
there was a time when social media was fun, and
now the only thing that's actual social about social media
is we're all suffering it together. A new report out
of the Financial Time says that we've passed peak social
media digital ons, digital audience inside companies looked at data

(00:22):
for more than two hundred and fifty thousand adults from
fifty countries. Found that we spent on social media peaked
the time we spent was in twenty twenty two. It's
gone down steadily since. According to the World, adults sixteen
and or older are spending an average of two hours
and twenty minutes per day on social platforms. That's down
ten percent from twenty twenty two. Sharpest's decline is among

(00:44):
teens and twenty some things, although many millennials and some
Gen xers seem to be deleting accounts too. Tech experts
say that users have been basically pushed out by reducing
the actual socialness. It's replacing it with ads suggesting more content,
more ads, negativity, bots, stupidity, and even ads. More than
one place in the world where social media is in

(01:06):
free fall, North America, consumption of social media diets. Even still,
America might be at its peak right now because social
media is finally jumping the shark, so to speak. Meta
open AI have announced new social platforms that are going
to be filled with AI generated shorts, form videos. Anything
that can kill social media, I guess would be NonStop AI. Right,

(01:27):
So I guess I'm on it when I'm available and
two hours and twenty minutes a day. What deeper in
the two do you like waiting? If you pulled one
hundred people, how many people would say yes, say enjoy waiting?
Maybe two study just came out that and said waiting
is good for you. Remember that next time you're stuck
in traffic or waiting in line at the grocery store.

(01:47):
Here's why being okay with a weight improves your self control.
Waiting is an exercise in patients. Being able to regulate
your emotions and not get annoyed will only help you
in the long run. Waiting people before you respond to
an email, also or making a purchase can be a lifesaver.
People tend to react impulsively. This intentional pause before you

(02:08):
make a big decision or a reply could make the difference.
Waiting can also be fun if you savor it. So
how many times has the excitement or countdown for a
trip been better than the trip itself? Waiting into a game,
it can be fun, so instead of waiting to see
and waiting is an inconvenience, try to referry it in
your mind. Think of it as an opportunity to reflect

(02:29):
or give your brain the gift of zoning out. I
guess that would be free of judgment. Then right, waiting, Well,
you know what they say, the waiting is the hardest
part to it again for another episode of Deeper in
the Den with Dangerous daved right here,
