(00:00):
Did want to say this as well. Congratulations to the Omaha Supernovas your first
inaugural Pro Volleyball Federation champions Man.That lower bowl was absolutely full, it
was packed. Really fun to seeall that, and then for them to
get a straight sets win just steamrolledtheir way to the first ever a Pro
Volleyball Federation title. Congrats to them. I think we're going to get a
chance to chat with one of theirplayers tomorrow on the show to officially celebrate.
(00:25):
But always great there's a championship righthere in Omaha. And didn't want
to throw this out here. Wedidn't talk about them at all this year,
but kudos to the Omaha Mavericks. The Uno Mavericks. Their softball team
won forty three games this year andmade it into the finals of the regional
down there in Columbia, Missouri. They played seventh ranked at Missouri, beat
them in one game, had tobeat them a second time and could not.
(00:47):
Missouri won two games in a rowto eliminate the MAVs. But what
a great season that they had.Wanted to shout them out. If you
hadn't been paying attention while I waswatching some of those softball games yesterday,
I saw a girl and she hadlike three or four piercings along her ear,
and then she had the nose ring, right, And I was like,
(01:07):
I wonder what that would feel like. I don't have any piercings.
Do you do you get your earspierced? At one point? I've never
had them. No. I meanit's fifty years ago. I mean,
dudes generally weren't getting piercings of anykind. But times have changed. There's
people with all sorts of piercings. And this got me to think, what
(01:29):
piercing would be the most uncomfortable foryou to deal with? Right? Are
we gonna set some parameters because thiscould go sideways. I would say on
your face, I would say keepit to the face. You know,
as much as I would like toget a little bit adventurous in my own
conversation, just had a curiosity.Nothing weird, just curious. I think
(01:51):
it's probably best for our audience ifwe just talk about the face. Curiosity
killed the cat. After all,cat had nine lives though, Aha,
So but what do you think?I mean? I got my number one,
Like, let's let's do a quick, like three round draft. I
get the first pick because it's myidea. The tongue. I mean,
just the process of that and thenjust like eating stuff and just feeling it
(02:15):
in there all the time, andI'm sure that can't be clean. That
the tongue ring. To me isthat's a tough one. Yeah, it's
a tough one for a lot ofreasons. Yep. Yeah, So so
I picked the tongue. What's what'syours? You know? What I always
wondered is is this called the themiddle part of the nose there the septum,
the septum. Yeah, that one, that's a good one too.
(02:36):
I feel like that'd be painful.It's that's a that's some thick cartilage that
you have to go through to getto complete that, and then it just
sits there. And what's it likewhen you got a cold, you know,
and you're just s not everywhere? And how I blow my nose all
the time? Oh that wouldn't youhate that? And the gags might get
caught you know? Oh yeah, and it certainly would hurt. Like how
do you sneeze? And then yousneeze and you get snot all over your
nose? Ring? You know, like what the what's the that's the point
(03:00):
of that. Right Again, I'mnot here to judge, but I don't
find this stuff attractive like ear rings, of course, you know societal ear
rings. That's fine, but justrandom like facial piercings, if you find
it to be attractive and you doit to yourself, like, I'm not
going to tell you to stop.I just think. All I think about
is like, man, that must'thurt my next pick, here's a good
(03:22):
one. The eyebrow. I feellike that's a grunge thing. Get the
eyebrow, like at the top ofyour eyebrow. It's like the guys who
have guys and gals that have theireyebrow pierced. It's like they really just
wanted to put a whole next totheir eye. What's the point of that.
It's a look thing. I supposeyou know who was like that looks
cool post nineteen ninety nine, anybody, Like the septum is in right now,
(03:45):
like a pierced septum. Like girlsare doing that all the time.
I've seen some guys doing that.Again, not my style, but it's
happening. Sure, it's somebody's style. But the eyebrow, Like, I
feel like that was a nineties thingthat if you really wanted to get crazy,
you pierced your eyebrow in the nineties. It is kind of a safe
place for it. Yeah, Imean, like it's not gonna do anything,
and I don't like you might sleepon it if you're a belly sleeper,
(04:06):
you sleep on your side or something, and it's probably a pain in
the butt to get it in andout. You probably just have to leave
it in there. Right again, what's the point? I don't know.
Maybe somebody could explain to me.But anyway, your turn, your turn.
Oh man, we got to keepgoing. Yeah, yeah, one
more round after this too. We'regonna get six deep, all right.
Well, I mean where else arewe going here? It's got to be
on the face somewhere like the abovethe lip, you know, oh,
(04:30):
like like Marilyn Monroe, Yeah,or like the what's their Cindy Crawford beauty
beauty mark? Yeah, instead ofhaving a real beauty mark, you just
like pierce one in there. Yeah, because is that here's the question,
Like, it's where a mustache shouldbe for a dude. So is it
low enough to where like it kindof it kind of grinds against your gums?
You know. Yeah, And that'sthe thing I don't know. I
don't know like what the parameters orwhat I know. I've seen some women
(04:55):
that have like their cheek pierce, like the middle of their cheek, Like
how do they get that in there? But no matter what, the other
side of that has to be inyour mouth somewhere, doesn't it You would
think so, And I feel likeit would like be rubbing against your gum
and that would be painful. Thewhole thing again, I'm just I'm sorry,
I just thinking about it. Itdoesn't make any sense to me.
I guess the fifth pick at thatpoint is I'm going lip going, like
(05:17):
the lower lip, and there's acouple of different ways you could do that.
You could do just like the beautymark, except underneath the lip,
which I find to be kind oftacky. I mean, it's all tacky,
let's be honest. It's piercings. But like the ring like right here,
or you put like a ring andit's just like constantly like like you
can't fully close your mouth because ifthere's a ring there. Hm. I
feel like that would bother me.I don't know how painful it would be,
(05:40):
but I feel like I'd get annoyedwith it pretty fast. It just
not being able to close my mouthproperly. I don't think it would add
enough to my look. Again,I don't know if those are in those
were in like fifteen years ago, maybe twenty years ago. I don't know
who. I don't know who otherthan like a rebellious seventeen year old is
getting their lip pierced like that, and then you get the last pick.
The last pick, Yeah, what'sleft? I mean the ears, the
(06:03):
forehead, and the outside of thenose. I don't know. Chin,
yeah, let's say chit. Thedisturbing guy does the chin? Oh yeah,
that one. Yeah, because fora guy, you know, like
what are you doing shaving wise, that's this thing. I don't know,
that's interesting. Maybe maybe it's easyto remove for him. That's definitely a
look though. If you got anyopinions on this sort of thing, you

is the number. Eric's on theline. Hello, Eric, you got
something for me on this. Yeah, I get a little story. I'll
tell you. I used to bean art instructor at a technical school,
(06:46):
high school thing, and I hada student, young man, and he
was having some real problems with histeeth. They looked real bad. So
I made some phone calls and Igot him set up down too to the
well the local colleges here with adentistry school work on peece a little cheaper
than the regular donor. So gothim all the information and he said,
(07:09):
I'm gonna I said, you godown and right after class, you know,
get you in. So he goesdown there. The next day,
comes in and teeth are still thesame, but he had a septem be
pierced and it wasn't like the ringthat you normally see. There's like two
gold bars one time on each side, and they came down to a point
like, well nobody will notice yourteeth now, Uh okay, So obviously
(07:35):
got a little side tracked there. This a little bit okay, Yeah,
Eric, I can't imagine. It'sa weird. It's a weird thing,
but it's in people are doing it. I don't know. I don't get
it either. Well, I'll besixty five in August and I have no
piercing. So yeah, yeah,I feel like at that point you're probably
(07:56):
locked in there, but not notto not to pinpoint anything specific that hey
you know what, maybe you're seventyand you're like, hey, you know
what, I don't care anymore.Let's do the whole began. But let's
just get like seventeen things done onmy face. See how it looks.
Well? You you were talking aboutpeople that put the gages in the people's
real big huge was it. Ijust think that's got to be handy when
(08:18):
you're fuld laundering. He made themto put the hanger. Uh yeah,
Eric, appreciate the call man,Thanks thanks for having me. Uh.
Katrina emails in and says, atthe office I work at, we take
X rays, we have to askdo you have any metal pieces or piercings
we should know about before we takethe X ray, because no matter what
they're X ray, it will shot, it will show up, it will
(08:41):
pop up. Now that's funny, that's funny. Could you imagine just like,
oh, yeah, what's that thingdown there? Oh and happen to
have that conversation. Mm hmm ohyeah, one of those guys. That's
why you get tsa pre check oryou know better. Yeah, what's the
point of that? Can can youhave you been able to deduce one?
(09:03):
Like the point of what one ofthose? Oh does it? Does it
accomplish something? Because nobody's theoretically seeingit regularly, right, And like if
you got your ears pierced or gaugesor a sceptimer, everybody who sees you
will notice that. And I thinkthat's part of why you do it,
right, why would you put onethere? I agree? The belly button
(09:24):
is a strange place. I don'tknow, man, did the bikini look
with the belly button ring? Thatwas a look for a lot of the
girls, Like when you would getto like seventeen or eighteen, it was
like a status that you know,Oh, I'm an independent adult. The
first and independent thing I do isjust get a belly button ring. Again,
I don't understand the point. Iwas thinking more of like here oh
(09:46):
or or down here? Uhhh uhhuh sure, okay, And people generally
are not going to be seeing those, I don't think, and not everybody
for sure, but for the peoplewho do see them, like, is
that like a like a thing likemight be a fun surprise. I think
that's the point of that, reallya fun surprise. Didn't expect that,
(10:07):
didn't you that? There's that's theconversation that happens when you're going to like
get your X ray taken and youforgot to, you know, take it
out. Yeah, or you're gettingtailored for a suit. Better make it
a little extra room. Didn't seethat coming, did you. Doc,
(10:31):
you go get your physical forgot totake it out. The coughing won't be
necessary, Doc, I'm okay.Thanks. If you got any thoughts on
it, you can call in fourh two five, five, eight,
eleven ten. We'll have some morefun with you, a lot more things
to talk about. Well, we'llget the more serious stuff with the Iranian
president getting killed in a helicopter crash, among some other things. But you
