Speaker 1 (00:00):
Look, we have to pull out all the stops. We've
got some luck, you know, like putting something on the
line here to get people to sign up and have
a chance to win this contest, including I think either
your career or your life was on the line. One time.
It was my entire life. It was hanging in the balance.
And then we got a winter like an hour later,
which was hilarious. We did. We were talking about I
was going to sing the entirety of Bohemian Rhapsody, including
(00:22):
the entire instrumentation and guitar solos. If we didn't get
a winner by the five o'clock hour, sure enough of
the two o'clock hour today we got ourselves a winner.
And her name is Krista and she is from Omaha.
She is joining us on the phone line right now.
Christ First of all, congratulations, you're a big winner.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Oh thank you. It's just amazing.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Okay. So yeah, so how long have you played? You
played the contest quite a bit since.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
The inception, and I've just been so faithful to you know,
stopping what I'm doing and getting in on the keyboard
and people kind of look at me like what's a keyword?
And so it was just oh, my friends are so excited.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yeah, I mean, who's laughing? Now? You got a thousand
bucks coming to you. So they called you. What did
they say to you?
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Well, at first they called and I almost didn't answer
because it came up unknown number yep, and I figured
out it's probably a political call. But then I happened
to be glanced at the clock and there was about
two or three minutes before the hour, and I thought,
could it be? And then the guy said he was
from my Heart radio contest and that I was the winner.
(01:28):
And I just like, are you kidding me? I mean
I really said, are you kidding me? So he said, yeah,
you're the winner.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
That's so cool. Okay. So Chris, For anybody out there,
you know, when they get a thousand dollars, I'm sure
the thoughts are running rampant through your mind, like, oh,
what can I do with this thing? You know, how
you want to spend this money? I know you've only
had it. You know, you don't really even have it
in your possession at this point right now, but it's
only been a couple hours. You know what you want
to do with this thing?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You know? I do know what I want to do
with it. I am taking my grand daughter, daughter in law,
my sister in law to the Final four volleyball tournament.
And I've always already bought my tickets and everything that
I would like. What I would like to do is
upgrade my seating because I called right away when the
tickets went on sale, but still in the nosebleed. Yeah,
(02:17):
and my granddaughter is a volleyball fanatic, and I would
really like to upgrade those seats. So that's what I'd
like to do.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
That is awesome, What a great way to use that money.
That is so cool, Chris, and we love to see that.
So congratulations. I mean, you've done a great service for
yourself with one thousand bucks and hopefully your family with
the Final four volleyball tickets. But also you've done a
great service to Matt and I on this station, so
we can do a victory lap and celebrate around you
know town, talking about we got ourselves one thousand dollars
(02:44):
winner and got off the schnid. So we thank you
for playing, thanks for letting us call you today. Congratulations
and hopefully you have an amazing weekend.
Speaker 2 (02:51):

to hear you sing?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
You're the only person that would like to hear that, right, Christa.
And on top of that, give me just like three
or four more days. I'm sure I'll get itchy that
we haven't got a second one if we don't get
a second one here in the next couple of days,
and then I'll start, you know, whining some more. So,
so just keep listening.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
You can whine all you want.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Thanks Chris, congratulations again, Thank you so very much.

keep trying because it off.

thanks to Christpher being a part of the show. How
about that, Matt Like? Is that that's the best way
to go into a weekend? Am I right? How about that? Hey, folks,
it's the weekend. We just got our winner. You didn't
have to hear Bohemian Rhapsody something, right, I'll give you
five seconds of Bohemian Raps just for the people that
are interested. Ready, easy, come, easy go, will you let
(03:50):
me go? There you go take that and that time's
like six minutes and there you go. That would have been,
that would have been, how that would be gone. If
we don't get another winner in the next week, might
have to might have to bring that back. Huhuh you
is for every for every day that we do not
get a winner, I will add another thirty seconds to
(04:13):
my bohemian raptiy.
